    Long-distance move from Maryland
    Great Job...and Cheap

My cousin used Zippy because of their storage and that he said to me that they also do so moving. I had been downsizing from my home in Germantown into a condominium in North Bethesda. From four bedrooms into 2. I truly wished to kncok two birds outside with a single rock and shopped round to attempt to save a couple dollars. As soon as I called Zippy, I asked me what I had been doing, exactly what I needed to achieve, and my funding. The woman I talked with not just gave me a fantastic quote but was very accomadating for my date of movement. In addition they stated they gave me a reduction beacuse of the realtor I worked with. Anyhow, they arrived punctually, moved everything well, unpacked me, and everything. I was also thankful that they could place a lot of my items in storage in precisely the exact same moment. All I needed to do would be to inform them what was going along with that which was storage. If my friends could help, I likely would have saved a few bucks by packaging the storage things myself, but they still came in cheaper than everybody. I’d refer them to everybody. My hope is that I never go again. However, when I do, I will call these men.  In Fact, I can not beleive I am writing a critique, but I hope this helps a Minumum of One individual in Selecting a Fantastic mover and storage collection.    All of this for under $1000!

    Excellent service

    Zippy Shell – West Houston
We moved to Houston and while my two bedroom flat things arrived we chose to proceed with Zippy Shell of West Houston/Harry Briers considering their convenience and pricing.
I was rather impressed with the professional support I obtained. My stuff was in good shape and I was really pleased with the timely reaction.
I would strongly suggest this according to my own experience.

    Ok

I would like to thank everybody in Jiffy Shell for a work well done. From begin to finish where we are very useful, and went over and beyond to make this movement as simple as it might be. My planner, Kellye Zobrist had been connected with me each step along the way which makes this move much less stressful for me personally. They loaded my own stuff in Fla, and also did a terrific job. Back in NJ I had been contacted by Stephen FischBach, to provide my items into my NJ house. He had been terrific, and both guys that arrived to unload we are amazing too.i would give this business a five star rating, also utilize them again if need be. Everyone involved went over and beyond to make this as simple as it might be. My sincere thanks for all who assisted me during this trip. I spread the word to everybody about this business, and expect they have a very long and succsessful  long term.   Thank you for a job well done

    Military move

We did a military”do it yourself go” out of MD to KS with zippy shell Maryland place. The salesperson was great at promoting their services. I was excited in the beginning. They arrived on time to fall off my container. Regrettably it took them 25 times to get my things at my destination. My household (*5 month old infant ) and I had been sleeping on the ground inside empty home for 25 days. They saved my things without my consent in the source. That I did not request. While I attempt to phone them, they’ll say they’ll call back but never will. My experience was outside frustrating. Im really disappointed. My advice for you is. . I really don’t believe they’re reputable for long distance transfer! I repent for not utilizing other moving businesses.

Beware! Not for the faint of heart

My transfer with Zippy Shell out of Palo Alto to New York was only a nightmare, between substantial miscommunications with the firm, an erroneous date to the loading firm, unprofessional loaders lacking the correct equipment and damaging that the things during loading, and a pickup that didn’t happen on the agreed upon date and trouble reaching the moving firm, plenty of back and forth with the firm, dangers of fees which weren’t previously agreed upon and real extra fees based on data previously supplied to them but that they’d neglected to notice sooner. Additionally, were considerably damaged when received. Some pictures of the harm might be discovered in https://goo.gl/photos/JfebaNmCGMC5Qx4XA. After being supplied with all the damage report and also the expense to fix a few of the things, the moving firm didn’t return to me for more than a week with no reaching to them and, even then, still has yet to supply an indicator regarding whether they will cover this damage.

    Long-distance move from Missouri
    Worst experience!

Dear Zippy Shell owners and operator,
The objective of this correspondence is to discuss my expertise with your business and your employees. In preparing for my own community transfer I researched many moving companies; nonetheless when I talked to Elizabeth McConnell about the telephone concerning the services that you provided I had been sold. She explained that I’d be given with a moving planner that would”assist me each step along the way” and they’d direct me during my move. Though my entire family lives on a tight budget that the professional services explained to me by Elizabeth made me breathe a sigh of relief and believed that this could be money well spent. I was subsequently contacted by Dora Vazquez who introduced himself as my shifting planner. Together we moved through my requirements and she reached the conclusion I would require two fifteen foot containers. To again ease the pain of transferring I asked movers; Dora clarified that every container could comprise two movers to load and then again unload in our new residence. Eventually, I supplied her with the date of November 24, 2015 as our moving day allowing her know we had to be from the house that afternoon by 3:00 p.m and that we shut our new house on November 25, 2015 at the afternoon so that I would prefer a noon shipping. Dora clarified that the movers are there by 9:00 a.m. and could have all rich in time and that they would arrive in our new home at noon on November 25, 2015 to float.
On November 19, 2015 Dora contacted me through email asking if I felt with my possessions packed to a moving truck vs. containers. She explained that because it’s a local move this could make it simpler for the movers and that all costs and other providers would stay the same. I reacted the exact same day allowing her know that I’m fine with this proposal however that I have concerns that there might not be adequate space and also reminded her that I picked the containers if our closing on the new house didn’t happen on November 25, 2015 too proposed. She assured me that the truck could be big enough to satisfy my needs nevertheless clarified that she had to speak to the movers around storage because there could be a day or even more between unloading and loading. Dora promptly emailed me back to let me know they’d secure the wealthy truck inside their locked warehouse in a cost of $100 per day. I advised Dora of my contract allowing her know which 30 days of storage has been shrouded in; she afterward explained that the first prices would stay the same. After a few emails back and forth we consented to a truck vs. container, there could still be four storage and movers has been factored in. Since the shifting day approached there have been raised worries that the closing on my new house will be postponed until November 30, 2015. Dora told me that I could alter the unloading date if desired as late as the day before. We made a decision to proceed the unloading date to November 30, 2015 at noon to be secure; that was done via telephone and Dora explained that she upgraded the info.
The time came for me to give payment to the first half of my transfer; I gave Dora my charge card number and made her aware that I’d use another kind of payment to the next half. She then proceeded to charge me for the complete sum $1775 in my charge card; but sent me a receipt through email indicating that just half was billed. Just half of this payment was due now and she had been conscious that I wished to use another card to the next half which wasn’t assumed to be charged until 24 hours before unloading. I wasn’t conscious of this mistake until I had been at closing on my new house and also my loan company refused my loan based on this new bill which changed my debit to earnings ratio. After six hours in the title company and an higher house loan of $1775 we had been permitted to close on our new house.
The afternoon of loading the movers came on time however there were just 3 movers rather than four. Half way through loading they voiced concerns that there might be insufficient space on the vehicle for each of our possessions. Before our move my husband chose our terrace furniture and all of the possessions in our drop to the new residence. Dora factored these things to the quantity of transferring distance I’d need so that there ought to have been more than sufficient space for my possessions on the day of the transfer. I contacted Dora and she had a little truck delivered to our house an hour after. The mover that arrived with this truck sat and observed to additional movers and did nothing. In spite of all the excess truck, my husband’s truck and my car stuffed there was still not enough space for many of our possessions. In two-thirty there were still items to load as well as the movers however, the movers informed me that they needed to leave to get the trucks back into the warehouse at time. At no time was I told there was a time limitation on loading.
On Monday November 30, 2015 in 9 a.m. I got a telephone call in the inspector telling me that they had been in my new house prepared to unload and wished to understand where I was. I advised them that people were at final and they weren’t scheduled to arrive before noon. He responded that he failed to inspect the period of delivery and could visit us at noon. After closing was taking more than anticipated I routed my father-in-law into the new home with the secret to satisfy the movers. Then I phoned the movers to allow them to know that my husband and I had been rushing behind but my father-in-law will be present to greet them. He responded that we wouldn’t be getting our things until the following day since they had to move to some other job. Locating this advice unacceptable I contacted Dora who subsequently put me in contact her boss Allison. Neither managed to return my calls inside a timely topic and neither was able to create my delivery occur. Then I phoned the contracted moving company right who advised me that the shipping period of 12:00 wasn’t supplied to them and that they had been told it was nice to deliver my things the following day. Right now the moving firm couldn’t assist me as all of their movers were discharged to other tasks.
This evening my husband and I needed to spend $580 in Walmart to get blankets, clothes, towels, food, soap, and extra items to encourage our three kids and two dogs while we waited for shipping of our things. I needed to go back to work and wanted work clothing and our three sons needed to visit their new college also wanted clean clothes to wear. We all had to sleep on the ground; the only positive was that we could repair the charging error and close on our new house. After the movers did arrive at the next day to unload they needed to be invited a few times to maintain unloading.
What began as a superb experience become a night mare. I tried to get Dora several times after the move to receive a settlement to our expertise that she wouldn’t respond; I eventually managed to get a grasp of Allison, her manager who proceeded to inform me that your employer did nothing wrong. I was then placed in contact with the mind of quality control who refused that my expertise was any error of your business. He explained that they have 7- 10 days to move across state. I advised him that my transfer was a 20 minute drive door to door and that 7-10 day window wasn’t in my contract. Additionally, I provided him with all the data exchanged with my shifting planner about delivery times and dates; payment info and the sum of moving storage I’d need. Eventually he consented that an error was made with processing the payment however, stated movers cannot guarantee delivery. I’m appalled that this announcement could come from any person’s mouth. I asked his boss’s contact info and he refused to supply it. I really feel taken advantage of by the way I had been treated. Every promise made to me personally about our move dropped through except for the sum I was being billed. I am uncertain how a firm may work together with the degree of support I received. I wouldn’t ever recommend your organization to anybody.

    Short Moves ONLY

All of their work is sub-contracted out that might not be odd. The movers are reliable but communication is quite bad from zippy shell. If your move requires over 1 mover / warehouse subsequently pick another plumber. They are great for quick motions or more motions with hardly any products. If you’re moving a home filled with furniture then continue looking.

Their pricing model is perfect but again, for smaller or shorter movements just. We transferred a two bedroom house and have been quoted $9,000 from the significant movers. I gave Zippy Shell our stock and has been quoted $5,000. The final price was well over $8,000 and a great deal of aggravation, additional expenses and hassle. We waited over a week for delivery to our brand new place and the containers were 50 miles off. I’m still awaiting details how they aim top settle on a claim to a very costly bedroom collection.

Please don’t use them for extended moves if you’re moving over a 1 bedroom flat.

    Horrible customer service

I’m in the midst of attempting to maneuver this weekend and chose to use zippy shell after hearing a lot of fantastic things about the business and it’s proven to be the biggest nightmare! The lack of communication and poor customer support have left me completely frustrated. Everything began Wednesday, I reached out midday to discover as soon as the movers could be coming the next morning because I hadn’t heard anything yet. I got an email from my shifting planner saying she’d find out and get back to me and then I noticed no reply until about 5:30pm this day once I found out I’d just be receiving one of those 2 containers I’d booked all of the way back in March, she advised me that there were not any other containers accessible until Monday a complete 4 days later than promised, even though they did send containers Friday and Saturday they had been”already booked for different clients.” I advised her Monday might not get the job done for my time since I needed to be from my lease Monday morning. She offered to get them free load my possessions into precisely the exact same truck that pulled my container and then people in a warehouse could move my possessions to a container after one came, however when they did not all fit in a container I’d be billed for a third container plus I didn’t enjoy the concept of my possessions being transferred again since it raises the danger of harm and items getting lost. This wasn’t a viable alternative rather than exactly what I paid for because I had been sold on the notion of getting my possessions safely packed off with the sole key in my ownership. So she said she’d attempt to see what she would do and get back to me, I discovered nothing that night and that I was never even informed what time they’d be bringing my own very first container, and so I phoned and emailed my shifting planner multiple times without a response Thursday morning. Finally her boss called me back Thursday about 10am following the moving truck had shown up apologizing that I had multiple unsolicited telephone calls (aka my transferring planner was avoiding answering my phone calls since she did not need to bargain with me) I had been advised there was nevertheless no second container accessible I voiced my frustration that I felt just like I had been getting the brief end of the pole and why was I having to wait 4 times while people scheduled Friday and Saturday chose to maintain their bookings, only because I have held up online does not indicate that the folks behind me ought to be served before me, I must obtain their slot creating my transfer one day overdue and then subsequently move another clients back 1 afternoon too. . .why should I need to be the only one who must endure the effects of Zippy shell’s error and by FOUR times!?!? Who’s four times that they are easily able to compensate for in an out of state transfer? So the supervisor said she’d work with it and do her best for me a container and also return to me…. You guessed it no reply once more and that I called 4 times and left messages with no answer whatsoever… So I wrote and email to my own moving planner on Thursday evening ahead to her boss and requested that she call me first thing in the afternoon we’re speaking Friday today, and once again no telephone, at the mean time that I started exploring my other choices since I could not appear to even get ahold of anybody at Zippy Shell let alone receive any sort of reassurance that they might actually offer the solutions I’ve contracted them to get. I eventually initiated contact again and called and got an answering machine once more and finally managed to get ahold of their supervisor after several efforts who behaved oblivious to the numerous missed calls, messages and also stated that she never got the email forwarded from my transferring planner. Which frustrated me even more, here I’m already past the date my things was suppose to get packed and on its own way and they do not even appear to care. She explained she would need to test and see whether there was any progress in finding me the following container and wished to”call me back” that I am sure would haven’t occurred or maybe hours afterwards so I chose NO I am not doing this anymore I need a refund in my next container and I think I deserve a reduction on the first container and she said okay I want to speak with my pricing supervisor and I will return to you. .4 hours after nothing! I phoned and no response I waited half an hour I phoned again finally she called me back using all the upgraded cost that was less than a third of this cost off, I told her that was dumb and that I wished to speak to the pricing manager, reluctantly this director actually called me at a fair period of time and informed me that she even thought the cost was”shocking” but sadly that was the best that they can do they were admitting that they made the error and thus they weren’t earning any money but that I still had to cover cargo, destination and origin warehouse prices that was over $2600 for a single container that’s an exorbitant sum if you ask me! I advised her that I’d not have intentionally paid that much for a single container and that I felt just like the business should have to cover their error not me. I needed to find a massive uhaul and discover people to assist loading last minute and that I spent hours of time trying to get hold of them and find this organized because nobody would answer the telephone or even call me back and that has been the best that they can do!!! I won’t ever use Zippy Shell again and I will inform all my dreadful experience in hopes that I will have the ability to save them a bit undue stress within an already stressful time. Save yourself the hassle and find somebody else to your relocation, I sure wish I had!

    Horrible

Everything in the shell has been ruined. They supplied movers that did not pack correctly. As soon as I brought it to their attention, they said that they never hired movers in my own behalf and they were not accountable for the harm. 3 TVs, two walnut dressers and a couch are all trash now. I will file a formal complaint with the state of Maryland Consumer Protection Bureau. What a dreadful experience.

    Best Relocation Experience

Where do I start? I’ve jumped and dwelt in 8 distinct nations so that means I’ve experiene with van lines, guide, and contract agent movers (do not utilize agents ) No relocation has contrasted to Zippy Shell and I’m now a loyal client. The proprietor, John, created the entire process so simple! We had an awesome group of gentleman who handled our things with real care. They had been cautious with all of the furniture and they listened to each of our worries… however after a couple of minutes of seeing them operate, our worries melted away since it was apparent that these men knew exactly what they were doing. We had a very long distance movement that demanded another day match for unloading. Timothy and Montreal telephoned us 10 minutes prior to our fulfill time to affirm we were still on schedule. (They did this for loading also )
Thanks for Zippy Shell for creating this movement so stress free! Thanks for Timothy along with Montreal for being rock stars and going the excess mile with a grin!!!

    Long-distance move from Illinois
Move from Chicago to Chapel Hill

My wife and I flew out of Chicago to Chapel Hill, NC since she accepted a new job. The project provided us with temporary home while we sold our condo in Chicago and attempted to locate a house in Chapel Hill. We decided we’d use Zippy Shell because they wouldn’t just move, but can store our possessions while we transitioned from our condo to our new residence. They were a complete disaster!
While obtaining a quotation from Zippy, my wife worked with a moving pro that went through a record of our things and the dimensions of the condominium. He told us we’d require one 15′ shell. She requested for two to become secure. Twice. Every time she had been told only one was wanted. A moving business would be subcontracted to load our possessions into the casing. We set the date to the loading.
The afternoon of the loading that the shell came 30 minutes early. We reside in town and were fortunate enough to have space on the road in front of the condo to park the truck and casing. The motorist would wait with all the shell if it had to be transferred. The movers called to say they’d be there early, that was 45 minutes AFTER our scheduled launch time. Part of the arrangement with Zippy Shell is that you get a 3hr window to package the casing. The movers stated their paperwork out of Zippy explained a 10am start time. I talked with the driver who signaled his paperwork stated 9am. We called Zippy since we were concerned we would go beyond our window using all the movers coming late. They stated the movers were running late and they’d attempt to assist us if we conducted over our window. The movers came with paperwork from Zippy that revealed 10am. My spouse named Zippy while I spoke to the motorist. Zippy was adamant that the movers were overdue. The driver showed me an email message from his boss saying that he forgot to inform him the movement came back one hour. Zippy lied to us and blamed the movers. Good start. The movers walked via our apparatus and signaled one shell won’t be adequate for our things. We predicted Zippy, and here is where things go off the rails. They stated they could not get us a casing daily. They would not have the ability to get us a shell before the next Monday (the movement has been on a Friday). We’d made travel arrangements to depart Chicago after that day. I spoke to catalyst and clarified the matter. His reply was that Zippy could find a different shell to us but won’t since they do not wish to pay heed to some motorist to attract you. We pleaded with the client support rep. The reply was that this was our fault, so that we fulfilled the record erroneously. The identical checklist that their moving expert filled out on the telephone. Nobody came to our house to find out exactly what we had. We asked for 2 shells and have been advised twice we just wanted one. The rep did provide 1 alternative. . .we rent a Uhaul, pack the rest of our possessions, push them into their warehouse and then pack them ourselves into a casing there. So we’d cover them while we transferred our own things. Got it. At no stage did they offer you any empathy or even a willingness to assist us. We had been told that it was our fault and they could not do anything. In their mercy, we needed to schedule another move. They had been an area and a half short incidentally, not only slightly off in their quote. We’d need to cover this second movement. And I would need to take some time from work and buy a plane ticket to return to Chicago to be there. We place up the move for the next Saturday morning. The driver came with the bunny. The road was now full so I advised him we’d only need to load in the alleyway. He stated the shell has been put up as a fall rather than for him to remain with this. You can not drop a shell from town. It is a fire hazard from the alleyway. The final move wasn’t set as a fall. Why would they place the next one as a fall? He said he’d call his boss and determine exactly what they desired to perform but that they may need to cancel the movement because he had a different fall to earn the morning. I flew back to Chicago to finish this movement and that I was being told that it may have to be cancelled. I could not believe it. After several unsuccessful calls he chose on his own he’d choose the shell into his next stop. He’d then catch another and push back with it and stick with it. This is a life saver. But, I now had movers in my condominium waiting for 2 hours to get a shell to get there. Loading of the next shell was finished and I managed to create my trip back to NC.
After we closed on our new house we place the shipping of both pods. They showed up late needless to say. And with just 1 pod! We inquired about the next pod. The driver was not conscious of another pod. We achieved to Zippy however our moving planner wasn’t at the workplace yet. We talked to somebody else that said they’d look to it. We heard back in our move coordinator two hours following the passing began. The subcontracted movers have been performed with the very first pod. We were told that the next pod was running just a little bit behind but could be there in half an hour. A hour later, still no bunny. We had been advised it was common that they awakened pods for unloading and it’d be there within the hour. I discovered this intriguing that they would hire a moving company to sit down at my home awaiting the pod. Certainly another lie. Another hour, no bunny. Eventually, 6 hours following the very first pod came our instant one made it into our door.
To be honest, both moving businesses which were subcontracted did a fantastic job. We had minimal damage and both were diligent and considerate.
In general, this is the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. They had been unorganized, they whined, they blamed us for their errors, and in the long run we ended up spending nearly double their initial quote, and of course needing to take some time from work and cover for flights. Don’t use this organization. It’ll be a decision that you may repent.

    Unmatched Moving and Storage Service

As a millennial who’s constantly on the move, I genuinely enjoy the uniqueness which Zippy Shell brings in regards to making a transfer.

I was raised with a dad in the army and spent my whole life going every year or two. But, I have not had a much better moving experience compared to Zippy Shell! Everything in the cost to the customer support is exceptional and incomparable!

The storage alternatives actually helped free up a while in my new flat and provide me a while to sort out things and pick what I needed them to haul back to the warehouse to get me.

Moving can be stressful. It is simple for people to get frustrated with small things and compact mistakes businesses in this way can create. But I can guarantee you that Zippy Shell is really unmatched when appearing in other moving and storage alternatives. I can not say enough great things about these!

    Long-distance move from Seattle, WA
    Ridiculous Runaround

My Zippy Shell”adventure” started in late October 2016. I sold my home in Seattle, WA and intended to
Proceed to Las Vegas, NV, following the spending the holidays with family in Lacey, WA. I got quotes from many companies offering a similar service, PODS, ABF, U-Haul and finally determined on Zippy Shell, although more costly, reviews were much better compared to other businesses.
We were not likely to move to Las Vegas immediately however to
Shop our belongings for a couple of months while we looked for and bought a house. We estimated that we’d want our stuff February of 2017. I relayed this information to our salesperson Dennis Johnson. He assured me that Zippy Shell will Have the Ability to Satisfy my requirements, I went forward and pioneered the contract on
    November 4, 2016.
For the Whole movement from Seattle, WA to Las Vegas, NV significantly less
Storage beyond the initial 30 days, I had been quoted a whole cost of $2769 with
$1384.50 to be paid before delivery and $1384.50 to be billed after the 45th day in storage. I knew that my storage fee after the initial 30 days will be $159 a month. The price was reasonable, as I was also able to benefit from a promotion that included movers to load the Zippy Shell in my source in Seattle.
Zippy Shell arrived to pick up our belongings on November 17, 2016 and the movers which were delivered were totally incredible. They’re professional, courteous and very effective. They had our whole residence and discard loaded to the container in under two hours.
Our Seattle home was closed and sold that weekend and therefore we
Were outside by November 20, 2016, and we led into Lacey, WA. As a result of unforeseen family circumstances, we chose to not proceed to Las Vegas and instead remain in Lacey, WA. We made this choice in early January 2017 and that I reached out to our Zippy Shell move planner, Autumn Ortiz by telephone to let her understand and to Find out how
To receive our things redelivered. Fall allow me to understand that I had to cover the other half of my transfer expenses, $1384.50 and I’d have the ability to receive my things redelivered. That did not make sense for me because I was no more going from Seattle to Las Vegas but rather was staying nearby. When I asked her to get a breakdown of their fees, she was Not Able to provide the advice to me that
Instantly caused an uncomfortable feeling. She emailed me a day later and provided the next”breakdown” that was unacceptable:
    (1) 15ft container Breakdown* WITH DESTINATION UPDATED TO SEATTLE, WA
    Breakdown of fees/total
    Move price:
$850 Origin prices (Container delivery, warehouse & handling )
    $850 Destination Fees(Container delivery, managing, & warehouse)
    $300 Taxes & Misc Charges
    Overall Price of Transfer: $2,000
I reached back out to her to let her understand that”breakdown” was mysterious and dumb. She said she’d look into it for me. Regrettably, a couple of days after, I had a death in the family and had to leave town suddenly. I emailed Fall to let her understand and advised that I would be back in contact once I returned home to Lacey.
Autumn reached back out to me personally to let me understand that”In a bid to receive your quote down to the lowest possible cost for youpersonally, we could acquire our own Franchise in WA to pickup your container and redeliver it in a later time as soon as you decide you’re ready to set up that. Doing this permits you to save an extra $250″.
She then provided a fresh mysterious breakdown:
    (1) 15ft container Breakdown* WITH DESTINATION UPDATED TO SEATTLE, WA
    Breakdown of fees/total move price:
$850 Origin prices (Container delivery, warehouse & handling )
    $250 Destination Container Delivery Fee
    $350 Unloading Service
    $300 Taxes & Misc Charges
    Overall Price of Transfer: $1,750
Again this breakdown was unacceptable but I didn’t have the energy or desire to manage this.
I place the Entire position about the back burner for a little and at early March 2017 I achieved to Autumn Ortiz by email and requested that a
manager give me a call to get this situation straightened out. Fall emailed me straight back to ask why I had to talk to a supervisor and I advised her that I wasn’t familiar with the mysterious”breakdown” of my charges for only simply saving my belongings for a month or two. Fall allow me to know that she’d ask a telephone and her boss Marissa Belle(?) Known as the following day.
Marissa and I played phone tag for a little because of the time gap and we eventually attached March 15, 2017. I asked her to assist me
Know why a 50-mile transfer is almost exactly the exact same price as an 1100 mile transfer. I received exactly the exact same hemming and hawing as I did once I requested Autumn exactly the exact same question a couple of months prior. Marissa then said she’d look to it. She gave me a call back another day to inform me that she’d be starting a refund for
$711 for my card and that I must reach out into the local client support representative to arrange for the redelivery of my things. Since I’d gone several rounds and still did not know what I had been charged because I just gave up because I had to receive my things from storage using Zippy Shell.
I followed up in my refund standing on March 20, 2017 only to
Make sure that it had been processed straight back to my card because I didn’t observe that the total represented in my online banking. I phoned Autumn Ortiz, and she did not respond so I sent her an email requesting verification. She advised me that a test was sent to my Seattle address. I don’t reside in Seattle nor have I since November 2016. I immediately emailed her back to let her understand that and supplied my speech to get the 4th or 5th time. Fall called me back to say that the test was actually sent to Lacey, WA that is untruthful because she did not have my Lacey speech rather than asked for this. I will remind you, MarissaBelle originally said it’d be credited back to my card.
I called the local representative that I had been known and was
Delighted to talk with Dawn Marie Clifford. She had been fast and effective and has been able to arrange to get my own things to me the next week. In my dismay and also beyond her hands I needed to pay an additional $399 to receive my things back from Zippy Shell. I went ahead and paid it since I want my items, and no longer desire Zippy Shell to save my possessions.
I shared with all of the problems I’ve dealt with in coping with Zippy Shell and she apologized profusely to my expertise despite the fact that it had nothing to do with her.
So far, we’ve paid Zippy Shell, $2,260.50. The breakdown of this is
My deposit of $1384.50, $477.00 for storage, $300 for movers in the destination and $99.00 for container redelivery. I had been”reimbursed” $711.50 earning my complete invest $1549.50.
While talking with Dawn, I requested her to quote me for a
Local transfer with movers to assist on either side and 3 weeks of storage. She created a thorough breakdown and complete price tag of $1460 that made complete sense and wasn’t mysterious! It actually didn’t look that hard to give me a more detailed breakdown of the price of conducting business using Zippy Shell. Allowed that overall cost is Just a couple hundred bucks over what I have spent up to now but the
Insane trek for this stage is unacceptable.
In my view, what should have occurred when I originally
Known as Autumn to inform her we weren’t moving was that she repay what I already paid afterward transition my accounts by the very long distance group to the local group. I must have been in a position to cover the local staff for the movers and the storage I utilized and then been able to receive my things back. Rather, my things were basically held hostage and now I have paid a great deal of cash for solutions NEVER rendered.
I’ve written into the corporate office requesting an overview of my expertise. I’ll gladly update my review if their suggestion to repair this is okay.

    The worst.

Your work is straightforward. Pick drive up, send. Insert as many attributes as you would like, but in the conclusion of the day, this comes down to three important tasks. If it requires you an ungodly quantity of time to produce a container (10-14 Business Days… Truthfully?) , and that I have my items picked up early to make sure it arrives on time, so I anticipate it to be sent with the date you estimate. No exceptions. Please understand that your containers have been full of all that matters to people, such as essential components for day to day living. I moved without furniture for more than three months. I drove through the worst snow storm of the decade to create this dispatch date. I place myself at risk to be here in time to get this particular delivery which didn’t comeback. No phone call, no email, no text, NOTHING. After calling every couple I could see, somebody finally responded with a justification, fearing the weather to the delay. You have had my container for 3 months, and the previous two days have been causing the delay, so both times I awakened through? Tell me how it functions. The part that disturbs me the most is that the entire absence of communication. As a company, this is the only real priority. We obtained no reductions, no apologies, no followup. I won’t ever use this business, and have educated my institution’s relocation support of exactly how horrible that was. Avoid them at all costs.

    Florida to Arizona Move

Half of my expertise using Zippy Shell was amazing, the other half had been fair.
I’d asked to convey from the start using email (I find it even more convenient, and it provides you written confirmation. Apparently, that was a major deal to particular workers in the corporate workplace, and that I needed to find the head honchos (boss) required to accept it. Lol. I shall say that the”head honcho” managed it immediately and straight. Being communicated with through email continuing to be a problem however. . .my”moving planner” huffed and puffed if I asked her to email me.
Zippy’s pricing is unquestionably superior than any container movers. I believe your own personal experience will count on the franchise places you’re coping with.
My experience with my source place was fantastic. The Jacksonville FL staff were amazing. . .no complaints. They were speedy and accomodating, and client service oriented. They desired me to have an extremely favorable experience.
It just took my container 5 times to attain my destination place 2000 miles apart, which was terrific. I’d asked that my container be saved for approximately a week.
My destination place was a completely different experience. Cold, slow, and distressed really are phrases I might use to describe that the Phoenix, AZ place. As soon as I gave the”fine” to send my container, then it required the Phoenix place 6 weeks to send it (more than it required my container to traveling 2000 miles). Yes, however I really don’t care how busy you’re, you want to make cross state moves more of a priority…I needed to go purchase a camping mattress so that I could sleep to the six times in my EMPTY property. The girl I talked to on the telephone from the regional Zippy Shell was so RUDE and BOTHERED with my solitary call checking account to see if there wasn’t any possible method to send earlier. They need to be rich folks, because apparently they do not believe mean spending $2000 in their support takes 5 minutes of the time on the telephone.
My container came in terrific condition (we packaged it ourselves).
In general , I think that your experience will be based on the regional franchises. I would advise Zippy, but place the proper expection that not many places are made equal…that I wouldn’t use the Phoenix position again.

    Nightmare!

To be honest there’s SO many problems I had with my expertise with Zippy that I do not have the time to list all of the issues.
Rude support, no communication, additional hidden charges, premature delivery, misquoted period of shipping, trailers not all delivered in precisely the exact same time… the list continues on and on and on and on!

Can NOT, whatever you do, utilize Zippy!!!! You may regret it.

    Spend more for bettee

My expertise using Zippy was less than good. When you first call they are very careful and helpful and phone back fast till it is all done and said. They bill you half until they even show up that’s strange and then another half before you even get your container delivered. The experience in Texas had been great. They showed up at 7am without phoning beforehand though so we were awakened by them but the regional movers that they hired were exceptionally professional and fast. After we headed into Seattle is if it began to get bad. On the drive up there’s have an email stating it’s already arrived into the terminal a few days later it had been chosen, good!

We then can’t get anybody on the telephone to program the delivery. We predicted more than 5 times and left messages each time with no answer. We’d call and request to speak with our moving planner who really has to have gotten fired or stop as her expansion did not even work a couple of days later we spoke first. Everytime we’d predict they’d get an automobile message stating that they have high phone volume and also a few 3rd party would reply and”have a message” (yeah right) and provide no help in any respect. I eventually delivered like 4 emails in a row stating how horrible the support was and FINALLY we receive a reply back, and it appears to be in the VP of operations, Great! Eventually some expect.

The following day we get a call saying they are likely to reach from the neighborhood warehouse to set up delivery…. Uh fine but we’ve asked a day because the start…. And approximately 3 days after we receive a call back stating it will be installation. Great, at this stage they already charged us the complete amount for your delivery so you’re at the mercy of if they beg na send it.

Thus delivery evening comes and they casing arrives punctually, however, the movers will be an hour or two late. No biggie, the shipping shell motorist was extremely friendly and nice. The movers eventually appear and it is definitely not an expert business as they appear at a civic and therefore are flushed out of their heads. They’ve got one crappy small dolly and essentially move at a snails pace to this stage that I’m doing much more work than them! What the hell are we even paying them for? Our TV broke since the casing obviously went through some sort of massive injury during transportation even though that which was pad wrapped and packaged with a professional moving team in Texas. All and all this movement is affordable but not really worth the hassle. Spend a little more rather than address these clowns.

    NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY

    This provider is UNBELIEVABLE.

To begin with, 1ST July they call them, they are fine enough. Create the booking, they ASSURE US somebody will phone, support and charge CC about the 3rd for a transfer date of their 5th. They inform us at the CT area, we have to utilize their own movers. fine. We sign a contract to the 5th July

3rd July – NO COMMUNICATIONS. They bill that the CC half the sum. We assume they’ll be here on the 5th.

5th July – NOBODY SHOWS UP. NO COMMUNICATIONS AT ALL. NO EMAIL. NO PHONE CALL. We call them, 30 min waiting, we leave a message. Unbeknownst to us, they repay the money. NO RETURN PHONE CALLS or EMAILS.

3 DAYS LATER, we eventually get them following NUMEROUS CALLS. They state”the truck already left CT, you’ll need to telephone & reschedule.

4 DAYS after – We eventually get them again, following a few calls, THIS TIME, they state”our centre is complete, we can not accommodate you. We refunded the cash”. First time we understand that.

LATER THAT DAY. . They say”We DON’T SERVICE CT, sorry” and hang up. Send the receipt that shows that the refund.

We’ve got no movers 10 times out of moving 2000 milesper hour What a LYING LITTLE COMPANY.

LESSON HERE: DO NOT USE UNLESS you Are Ready to get SCREWED and LIED TO.

    Failure at every step

Zippy Shell’s sole real value proposition to clients is that they organize the storage and moving of your products with local franchisees or 3rd parties at the source and destination niches, however they neglected me at each stage in the procedure. Ahead of pickup, I phoned my moving planner (they moved by a dedicated planner into some pool of coordinators through our transfer ) to let her know that we would probably require some things transferred throughout our 2nd floor window because of narrow stairs. They had been supplying free loading relief since they did not possess enough shells to fall off one with us and that I wanted to be certain that the movers could take care of this. The rep assured me that this might be nice but on shifting day that the movers were both fueled and refused to assist us. I had to scramble to locate and cover handymen to transfer our items and was informed by ZS I would be rewarded for this because their rep mentioned my telephone but not acted on it. In our destination, the afternoon before our transfer the neighborhood warehouse known to affirm delivery but advised me he didn’t have any clue what time they would arrive. I’d predicted the transferring coordinators a couple of days before and they had said that the shell could be sent in 8-12 and I had hired movers to assist unload beginning at noon. As soon as I told the man on the telephone his reply was that”they are in Florida and we are in California” like that makes it okay. I ended up needing to reschedule the movers; thank goodness that they had been real professionals and quite accommodating. Ultimately, when the shell has been dropped away, it had been secured with a lock which may just be opened with all bolt cutters and yet the man who dropped off it had no bolt cutters. I was once more assured by ZS that I would be rewarded for purchasing my own bolt cutters.

Thus far, I have not got a dime of compensation and I have been assured that a supervisor would contact me personally for nearly two weeks now with no effort to reach me despite several followup mails and telephone calls in my part. Nobody in this business communicates with anybody else although that is their whole function. If I wished to contract using a plumber, loading assistance, a storage business, etc.. I might have done this. So what the hell did I cover?

This provider talks a big talk but they don’t deliver. Do not expect them with your cash. It is a ripoff.

    Not So Zippy Shell

Not So Zippy Shell is excellent about phoning to acquire your company. As soon as you enroll, that is when the communication ends. We moved from Utah to Florida. They contracted out the shipping service into some mover in Miami. Not So Zippy Shell couldn’t confirm when and if our possessions would arrive. Our stuff came and they couldn’t get their act together to schedule a delivery period. Forget about speaking to a manager, they don’t have a idea about client services. Keep on top of these if you do choose to contract together. Their concept of shipping is wait till you’re furious and then they’ll create your delivery a priority. At that, the shipping team showed up nearly 4 hours after the most recent time they said they would arrive. It was fine that the delivery movers helped unload. Nevertheless, there greatest container is too little. Proceed with PODS! It is the exact same cost per sq feet for the bigger container albeit there is no unloading helper. While I can not talk to PODS customer assistance, it would not take much to transcend Not So Zippy Shell.

Long-distance move from San Antonio, TX
    Terrible Communicarion, Late Delivery

The sole reason I’m giving two stars rather than one is as the shifting coordinators in the neighborhood level are favorable enough.

HOWEVER, DO NOT consider the 7-10 business day quote. We are on 15 business days (21 calendar days) along with also our shell has not even left the destination warehouse. We moved out of San Antonio, TX to Denver, CO and we are now sleeping in an air mattress since our zippy shell hasn’t yet arrived. Communication was absolutely dreadful. We have an email stating our shell could be overdue, but no estimate was given about whether it might arrive. We then got a telephone call saying that our shell could arrive to the scheduled date. Great! This was nice news. Come back to find out that individual was incorrect. It had not even left the San Antonio warehouse (and still hasn’t).

Finally I asked to talk to a manager. It was 5 days past. That afternoon he said he’d call me from the close of the afternoon AND email me with updates, neither of that has occurred. Additionally, once I told him that our shell was overdue, he explained he was not really worried about it before it is around 15 business days late. Is he for real? I predicted back each day this week requesting to talk to a manager, but no boss got me back. The customer support staff on the telephone is fine enough, but being nice does not get our casing delivered punctually.

At this time we don’t have any idea once we’re going to receive our things. We are told we are about a”hot listing” or even”priority list” but nobody could give us a quote about whether it’ll be picked up or if it is going to reach Denver.

They state their support is”quickly” and”hassle-free”. Do not believe them. Zippy Shell is the most stressful part of our long distance transfer. Don’t proceed with Zippy Shell.

We predicted Zippy just to discover after a few phone calls which shell was still in transit and nobody know where it can be, so here we’re with barely any of our possessions. We called a few times asking to talk to a manager and have been told you could call us back and it never occurred. Our expertise with ZIPPY was dreadful. 1 hassle after the other and it still happening. Do not ever use this business, you may repent it.

    HORRIBLE

Zippyshell.com Zippy Shell Moving and Storage isn’t where you wish to program for a transfer…. They’re supposed to provide a 15′ container on 7/28/17 involving 8-Noon…

I got a telephone call at 10:00am telling me that there were not any containers out there for the following 1-2 days. They offered to ship a ship truck to carry contents which we desired loaded back into the warehouse where they’d fill the container to get us if the container came. If each of the contents did not match, they’d get us another container in a slightly reduced cost (HA).
I talked with a”Supervisor” that kept saying sorry, so providing a small discount to the hassle, but didn’t have some solutions that could ensure we did not get nailed by another container bill.

Quite poor communications, zero job management abilities, inability to handle merchandise pipelines…. Considering we booked the task on June 21, 2017 — NO EXCUSE!

I wound up using PODS that delivered prior to schedule with exceptional customer support.

Setting this up ceremony was fantastic Nice affectionate folks. I must have gone with all the POD individuals. They came on the afternoon of their scheduled movement 2 hours late. No telephone calls. Transferring my older mother across state from Florida to California. Scheduled delivery was to Monday july 10 between 8 – 10. COnfirmed wiht the client support representative on July 6. Drove into N Cal to be available for your delivery. Monday morning no Zippy Shell arrived. I tried phoning but only got through to a overflow customer support representative. No replies. Nobody called back on Monday. As soon as I attempted to call many times in the day between 2 – 3 Pacific Time. I received a listing over and above that the offices have been shut. They’re supposed to be open, 8 pm eastern time. uuugh. I ended up Tuesday morning and known in 5:30 because they started at 8:30 eastern. I’d get through to a representative who had been sickly sweet but couldn’t give me some info. I asked her to please schedule the delivery to the next Thursday. She stated she’d do her very best. A couple of minutes after I get a email affirmation for the next Monday for send. between 10 – 12. I attempted to telephone to follow up but just got through again into the overflow business. They don’t know anything and will simply have a message. By this period the credit score card has been billed the complete amount. Nobody called before Thursday when I talked with a”Manager” Roderick. He apologised repeatedly and over and guaranteed to reduce the entire fee to the inconveninece. He said he’d call on Friday to validate the Monday delivery. No telephone Friday. I tried phoning and naturally the escape team UUUGH. Monday, No shipping. The POD and all the furniture was eventually delivered on Tuesday today a whole 22 days on which was likely for a 10 day shipping. Never heard anything back out of this Roderick individual. Customer No-Service from Zippy Shell

I hired Zippy Shell for a cross country move from North Carolina to California. Both 15′ containers have been dropped off and picked up with no problems and that I started my drive to Los Angeles. I had been provided a transit period of 7-10 business days following the pickup on 7/29. I phoned on 8/4 to make certain they had the shipping address right and make sure there were not any issues. I had been informed by the customer support representative that my components could be sent on 8/8. When I did not hear from them or receive delivery by noon that afternoon I phoned and was told delivery would be about 8/10 involving 8-10am. Again, again….nothing. I called customer support and was told that they were not even in Los Angeles however but were”in transit”. As of 8/11 nobody in Zippy Shell can inform me where my items are or when they will arrive. I requested to talk to a manager and was told I’d be called backagain. I reached out into the man who booked my movement and he sympathized with me afterward transferred me to his manager….it went directly to voicemail. I really don’t know if, or when, I will get shipping but that I sincerely repent hiring this firm to proceed. U-Pack is simply a bit more but ensures that the shipping date or refunds the price of transit.

    Don't use zippyshell

We had a dreadful experience with zippyshell. They underestimated the quantity of storage we’d desire even following us giving them all that we had transferred. We needed to cover to get a bigger container on the afternoon of this transfer since the movers we hired through zippy said all our items won’t fil from the 15′ and 10′ containers. Even following the bigger container was attracted the movers were still unable to match all of our things and left a lot behind. I had a week to market my items since they could not fill it at the 2 containers that they said could be sufficient. In addition to that they billed me for heavy lifting and also an excess staircase climb! I dropped so much money in needing to sell my things which didn’t match and then needing to repurchase in CA. In addition to all that I purchased a 1 way ticket so that we can match the vital things we had in our van so that my husband and sons can induce it into CA. I flew with my newborn girl and came here the afternoon of the delivery. I phoned them and was advised that the containers weren’t there yet. My family drove three times and came by Sunday and needed to sleep on floors. We’re still waiting and sleeping on floors, spent more than 700 on matters we want that we already posses but do not have yet. Needing to eat out since I don’t have anything to cook in. Children start school tomorrow and do not have all the possessions. Our containers were packaged and taken on July 25th, its Aug 15th and we still don’t possess our things! Obviously the supervisor still has not called us backagain. We requested to be paid by these supplying the unloaders but needless to say the client support can not authorize that with no boss that never calls. We’ve been on the telephone together every day without the results. Our items have finally arrived in the warehouse but where are they all this time and what state am I going to receive my items in? The loaders that we hired through zippy didn’t even wrap my furniture at the crystal clear picture I purchased for them even after me let them accomplish this, we’re all so disappointed. Save yourself the hassle. The very long movement was challenging enough but these men have made it tougher for us!

    Awful in every way

Absolutely horrific business from top to base. Charged us 4000 to proceed from Minnesota to New Jersey. They stated that our stuff would be coming in NYC within 10 business days. On the 9th day, it had not even left Minnesota. But they would not allow me to talk to a supervisor since it was still in their contracted timeframe. Apparently they’ve particle accelerators in Zippy Shell!

Obviously, my things did not arrive at New Jersey for the following 6 weeks, at which time they’d had my things to 18 calendar days. During this adventure, I was attempting to get a hold of the customer support supervisor, Rod. Rod is a tough person to get a grasp of. I made the grievous error of missing his initial telephone and calling him back minutes later, just to be informed that I’d now dropped into the base of his telephone record and had to wait for 48 hours for one more call. Well, 3 days after he eventually called. And on that lovely call, he lied and explained that he had attempted to call me several occasions, so this entire scenario was essentially my fault for never replying. In addition, he explained that his firm had done well since my stuff had been”just 3 business days overdue in attaining the warehouse”. Meanwhile, I still don’t have my things delivered, and we are on day 19, and it still won’t be here for two more days. Do not ever, ever, ever use Zippy Shell.

    Long-distance move from Pennsylvania
    Worst experience

    Where do I begin?

Let us begin by stating that I strongly believe that no one at the company offices have ever moved themselves and don’t have any clue the way to even remotely supply solutions. Beyond this overall criticism, I experienced the following:

    (1) Expensive – Even though I can not hold this against them because many moves are costly, they outside the 3k they billed me for quite a long distance movement, they billed an extra $220 following the transfer since the transfer had been”long haul” (was not that previously established at the moving price??) Also it had been”thick” (come on. .) .

(two ) Unorganized which resulted in 12 hour delay out of first launch time – Favorable automatically provides you an estimated entrance window of 8am-12pm. For my shell fall loading and off, my movers came in NINE PM. That’s TWELVE HOURS LATE. I needed to cancel all of my own personal travel programs that led to an extra $500 to cover for a flight and hotel.

    (3) Zero client support – I attempted to telephone the office to receive a feeling of if the movers will arrive for my casing fall off and off. They stated they could not supply that nor can they supply me with all the neighborhood moving company’s advice so that I could call them straight. They said I needed to wait patiently till the date of this move to acquire details about the move for example anticipated arrival time. As soon as I stated that just was not likely to function, the girl reacted with”proceeding is a day event. I advise you to pack a dinner and wait patiently .” Seriously? All I was searching for was a sensible timeline past the generic”8-12″ therefore that I could ascertain if I had to wake up at 5am to drive into my new residence or 7am.

    Don’t Use Zippy Shell.

They saved it! For over a week!!! My husband, myself and our 8 month old proceeded halfway across the nation and we have been living on the ground for more than a week. Are you aware how difficult it’s to receive any superior rest when you are sleeping on the ground and you experience an infant???

WE have needed to speak to their”Customer support group” multiple times today. WE needed to have the ball rolling on getting our items sent on the 6th working day. WE needed to check in on both days after to ensure that our stuff was sent. WE needed to call about the 10th business day to determine whether our material had arrived at the destination place.

After WE contacted them on business day 10, 20 minutes prior to the close of the company day, we had been advised that our container had came. Had they informed us? NOPE! Called them back 30 minutes later to recheck the position of the stuff. OH wait… our belongings isn’t in the destination place like somebody just informed us it had been. And nobody can contact us until MONDAY to provide us an upgrade.

Thus, recap. They do not communicate with their clients. Now all of my household’s earthly possessions are missing. This provider is in violation of their own contract. No one who has some energy can assist us (i.e. Managers.) And there is no telephone number for their company offices…

I am more than splurging in this business’s lack of support, communication, and answer to their client. Nobody appears to understand anything about what’s happening with people’s possessions.

Don’t Use ZIPPY SHELL! They will twist you and your loved ones over. They may even lose your things. BBB will probably be hearing from me and now that I expect a complete investigation within this business to occur.

    Long-distance move from California
No need to read, just don't use them

Container picked up on 7/14. Don’t get our things till 8/8. Moving from SF to Seattle.

    1. As soon as I purchased the container, they stated it’d fit in my road. Then after the order was put and contract signed up they phoned me back saying oh the distance is too narrow so they’d be choosing the container SAME DAY rather than the consented 3 day dividers for loading…

    2. On day that they were supposed to fall off container. Supposed to appear 10am. No display and no telephone call nothing. I gave them a few buffer but ultimately beginning calling their”delivery communication group” (all of these are absolute useless and unhelpful) at 2pm. I phoned and they let me call their warehouse to get standing. I am like XXX? Is not it their job? Anyways, their relocation coordination team has become the most useless group of waste of space I’ve ever had to cope with, PERIOD. They are completely not able to offer any standing. The one thing they can do is guarantee to phone you back, and that they do not. Eventually I seemed reviews on yelp and discovered that the contact information to the owner of zippyshell SF area. Fundamentally zippyshell simply siphoned the pickup/dropoff for the particular local moving company. Of the whole moving experience, he is the only one that has been remotely helpful. Anyways, at the end I rescheduled the container to be dropped off another day since it had postponed to later 6pm.

    3. Container pickup. I’m supposed to be awarded 3 day window for loading. Sure enough I receive a telephone on day two they wish to pick this up. Again, WTH.

    4. Include transportation. I had been told our container could arrive in 7-10 business days once it’s picked up. Well after we got to Washington into our new residence and one week goes by and I have not heard anything that I emailed the neighborhood dude at cali zippyshell and that he obtained my container was still sitting in his own warehouse awaiting to be picked up. Our stuff was just sitting there in SF waiting to be picked up, simply sitting there for more than 10 times…. Depending on what I had been told after I signed the contract, our stuff would have already arrived but rather it did not even get pickup by transportation…. What THE f!?

    5. Container delivery. Ultimately our stuff has been prepared to be sent 8/8. But once more, they continue to surpass my expectations in over promises and under delivering. They said because they’re so active, they must pick up the container the exact same day rather than the guaranteed 3-day unloading window.

    6. And ultimately, the container wasn’t wrapped like I had been promised. Because of this, alot of our materials were covered in black dust including our child’s stuff. We needed to spend quite a while wiping clean washing and everything everything else.

Yeah complete this is a really bad experience. Definitely the worse moving encounter. As soon as I moved across state utilizing conventional movers. I didn’t experience any of these issues. In hindsight, I’d have only haul everything myself leasing a truck instead paying this scummy business $2000 to do a terrible job.

    Long-distance move from Charlotte, NC
    Cross-country move

I utilized Zippy Shell since they could offer a 15′ container for my own transfer while competitors could not. In general, I enjoy their system and I believe that it’s a version that’s user friendly. My casing was sent by pickup and the operator has been really pleasant and courteous. The container has been picked up precisely the exact same afternoon, and I’d stipulate I did not require storage, I needed the container delivered from Charlotte NC to Albuquerque whenever possible. Near the end of this 7-10 business days I had not heard anything, and so I contacted Zippy by email to learn the status of my dispatch, and obtained a generic answer stating that I’d find an email when it came at destination. On this 10th business day, I called the service number and was left to hold although the rep tried to determine where my container was, and seemingly couldn’t; I had been advised to call back in a few days, however I began worrying about my possessions being dropped. When I called back, again following a grip period, I had been advised that the shipment still had not abandoned Charlotte, but they’d attempt to get it out whenever possible. I finally received an email that it had came in Albuquerque a complete week following the most recent date it had initially been scheduled, also since I needed to leave to get a business trip, I got my merchandise 35 days after I’d sent them.
I know that delays can happen, and that I do not have too much of a problem with this, but I believe that the Zippy team and operations will need to be much far better at conveying what it occurring to their clientele. It should not be up to me to contact them repeatedly to find information about the status of my transfer. I will not be using them again, but when they’d been more educated about letting me understand exactly what had been happening, I probably could.

DO NOT EVER USE ZIPPY SHELL!!!!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY!! I put up p/u date for Jun 28th, with 3 times to load the casing. After calling a few times, I had been advised that they didn’t have a truck to supply the casing, so my only choice was to let a truck load it and visit warehouse and unload the truck into the shell using a 3-hr. window. The nightmare starts. The warehouse was literally a quarter of a mile farther down the street. I flew the supervisor in the warehouse to please bring the shell into my home down the road. After he realized how close my home was, he agreed to push the shell together with his private truck. He had been the sole adapting man in the whole operation. He dropped off the shell at 8am and picked it up at 4:30de exactly the exact same afternoon, on June 28, 2017. I was thankful for his help (Tom), trusting that the remainder of this journey could be a breeze. However, the nightmare continued. No communication what so ever. I had been advised that my private belongings would arrive on July 14th, however they didn’t. I’d called several days before and insisted on talking to a manager because nobody had called me. Rod eventually called me back, hinting that I will get them on the target date, the 14th. In addition, he said that he would call me every day to keep me conscious of what was happening with my own shell. He didn’t! The 14th came and went without a telephone from Rod. The next weekend I flew back to Seattle and watched my shell still sitting at the warehouse. Tom stated he had never got an order date. As soon as I called ZippyShell customer support, they advised me that my casing was in route to Michigan. They were not conscious that I had been in the warehouse looking in my casing. I was mad. Obviously, that telephone ended in advising me that Rod would phone me back. I predicted Rod several times in addition to customer support, and was told that a different story each time. Their only answer was that I’d find a charge of $150.00 when they didn’t send it from the first shipping date. As soon as I returned back to Michigan, I phoned Tom (director of warehouse) and asked him to please call me if he receives an order for pickup. From the July 20th, the fone forecasts were consisted of conflicting stories. I had been informed that my shell had been here in Michigan, but I needed to now call them and set up a shipping date. None of the made because, particularly when I was speaking to”Rod” the manager, who insisted on personally handling my shell shipping. After I spoke to him a week after, he advised me that I did actually must call and schedule a delivery date. I could not believe what I was hearing. When I asked him why did not he tell me that during our final forecast, he said he believed I understood about it. This was their regular processes. After a few long discussions and arguments with overall customer support and Rod, I needed to hang up since I was going to burst. My shell came on the July 24, 2017. It took almost a month. NO APPLOGIES !!!!

    Long-distance move from Illinois
Zippy Shell Provides Extremely Poor Service

Our recent experience indicates that Zippy Shell is an extremely dishonest firm that supplies extremely bad support. In late July 2017, we had been advised by a sales staff member that”we shall pick up and deliver in time, both together with affirmation telephone calls” and”simply give us a phone, also Zippy Shell will produce the delivery straight away, probably within precisely the exact same day”. Lured from these exaggerated”advantage” features, we bought Zippy Shell support for our Illinois-to-California moving. About 08/07/2017 (Monday), our transferring container has been picked up a few hours following Zippy Shell’s confirmed pickup time period with no notice. We, as customers, needed to telephone Zippy Shell to affirm that our container has been picked up, maybe stolen. About 08/21/2017 (Monday), we predicted Zippy Shell to program the delivery, and have been advised by a representative that the delivery may be drawn up by 08/22/2017 (Tuesday), and could surely be produced by 08/23/2017 (Wednesday). There was neither email nor telephone call from Zippy Shell by 08/23/2017 noon. We called again in the day, and were advised by a different representative which our delivery was really scheduled on 08/28/2017 (Monday), between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm (Pacific Time). This life-sized gap was substantially inconsistent with what the sales staff advised us in July! As stated by the customer support group, we all, as clients of Zippy Shell, had no other choices but to await the shipping on 08/28/2017. Due to this foolish gap, we needed to remain in a vacant apartment for over 1 week, because all our furniture (like bed) was at the undelivered transferring container. On 08/28/2017, there was neither email nor telephone call between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm, that was Zippy Shell’s supported delivery period. We needed to telephone Zippy Shell back, and so were requested by an impatient, maybe impolite, agent, to call the warehouse right. The warehouse advised us that the moving container ought to be delivered after 3:00 pm, and that, again, has been substantially different from Zippy Shell’s affirmed period. From now we wrote down our disagreeable encounter (08/28/2017, 6:00 pm PT), we still have not heard from either Zippy Shell or the warehouse concerning the so-called”supported” delivery. Unfortunately we spent over 2,000 bucks and nearly the total August with this stabbing service given by Zippy Shell. What’s more, it appears that we’re not the only ones afflicted by Zippy Shell’s lousy support. We hope that sharing our latest experience can help individuals, such as ourselves, select moving businesses more sensibly later on.

    Long-distance move from Minneapolis, MN
    Poor customer care communication

My children have renamed them”turtle shell” since they aren’t in any respect zippy. We moved from Minneapolis to Vancouver WA recently. We’re really pleased with their support in Minneapolis. We picked to allow them to load and they had been on time, also went out of the way to attempt and decrease amount of shells we wanted. But as arriving in Vancouver, we’ve been frustrated with their support here about the shipping end. Their customer support staff is a joke. They’re essentially middle men between you and the regional contractors and warehouses. They’re all polite, however, as they don’t have direct charge of the warehouses, they can’t envision anything quickly and consequently cannot offer any definitive responses. There’s always a 1 -2 day turnaround before they could return to us with any replies to our questions or scheduling petition. The customer support staff wouldn’t supply us with immediate contact to the local warehouse making communicating very patchy and irritating. We’d be told”that you will find an email to confirm your delivery” but what we have were vague emails with zero specifics (see image below). Though our containers got to our destination warehouse fast, they couldn’t mobilize them from the warehouse readily for shipping. Because of communication breakdown between the client support group and neighborhood warehouses, the local warehouse wasn’t in the grasp of our catastrophic delivery dates. We probably are being billed extra for storage because of their fault being unable to provide per our request. We’ll never use zippy casing again!

    Long-distance move from Washington
Seattle, WA to New haven, CT travel nightmare:

Their customer support lineup speaks for itself. THE WORST moving firm. They excel in getting one to sign this contract and also inform you about all of the whistles and bells which includes stated fare to transfer your merchandise from point A to point B. Very careful staff to provide empty container into a doorsteps to load your own personal possessions and then pick-up container to start its trip to Point B.
When the container leaves your house, expect per month to get your container in your final destination.

    (1) Prior to registering the contract their own earnings rep. supports: *which you must anticipate your container to get there between 7-10 BUSINESS days (fourteen days ). Entirely understandable. *Schedules you currently a fall off container date and provides you 3 business days to load your own products hassle-free. Then select container to start its trip to final destination.
    (2) Days after signing contract along with supplying your entire CC # to the first half of repayment that they send an email stating that your drop-off container scheduled date has been postponed 7 complete days from initially scheduled. (I call their customer support line and they forward my phone to the overflow team and request my name and telephone number and ensure they’d phone me back the identical moment. and guess what? Never did. This happened several times.
    (3) Container eventually gets shipped in its way back into their own distribution centre to start its trip into the East Coast, also seven business days after they are not able to inform me the coming period of my container. 10 business days after still no word. 11 business days after NOTHING. Not even a single telephone nor apology in their own customer support staff. I needed to stay in a resort nearby since not one of my things had came for near four months.
    (4) However one thing that they did good was to amass BOTH obligations in total before I actually got my container. I needed to talk to one of the supervisors and eventually criticism about all of this anxiety, lack of customer support and lack of ethics from their business. It’s a shame once the client must micromanage a business for performing the professional services we allegedly paid for. Supervisor promised to phone me back after my container was sent to discuss settlement but not did. Disgusting business. Happily I took this to legal issues along with my Credit Card Company and they reimbursed me 50 percent of their whole payment.

THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS, as a business owner myself, this isn’t perfect. ZippyShell gives a poor reputation for the business and its a pity.

I’ll make certain to use PODS from today on, I would rather spend $500 more and prevent most of this nightmare.

    Long-distance move from Tampa, FL
    Do not use

While the local employees in the Tampa Bay office were favorable, nothing relating to this neighborhood office, the client support expertise, or our cross-country movement went smoothly. They were equally inept and dishonest, and I wouldn’t ever use this provider again or recommend them to anybody.

Some things that went wrong for us:

    1) Neither of our two shells has been delivered on time to our house for us to package. One was missing a lock.
    2) The local office was overdue to pick up our very first shell, and completely forgot to pick up our 2nd shell. I needed to call to remind them.
    3) For cross legged movements, Zippy shell intends their deliveries onto a first-come, first-served foundation with their warehouses. They did not call to program our shipping together with the warehouse until fourteen days following the initial one was picked up, which led to them missing their guaranteed ten-day turnaround window by well over a week. That meant no substance in our new home for more than a week.
    3) The customer support supervisor in the corporate workplace outright lied to me on one event (which he confessed to after I pushed him). The customer support team repeatedly explained to me coverages which differed from those provided to me from the supervisor in the exact same office.
4). They charged us the equilibrium of the contract amount prior to our shells were delivered, even when I verified with the customer support office that our contract specified differently. (We had been on their old charging system, that has since altered )
5). Though nothing in our contract given a surcharge to get a piano, the next party shipping company they utilized charged us an additional $200 for bringing the piano with no notice.
6). We did not get confirmation of our shipping date/time before 9PM the day until it was scheduled to arrive.
7). The shipping to our new home was overdue by over two weeks , and once I went out to greet the truck, the two men had dropped asleep in the cab of their truck.
8.) After we received our final bill for $4804, we obtained an extra $300 fee from Zippy Shell fourteen days after with no notice at all. That fee was contested during our credit card business.

    Long-distance move from Arizona
    Run the other way!

At first, everything sounded great. The business was connected with us, talked us through every thing and also delivered the shell each day early for packaging. We thought we’d struck the jackpot on this business.
From the contractual arrangement they say it takes 7-10 business days from warehouse to warehouse. We’re a little family and we are going to embark on a cross country move, and already stressed out! We arrive at Ohio ( transferred from Arizona) and provide it the 10 business days. On this 10 th day, we predict zippy shell and find out that they don’t have any idea where our casing is, no more upgrade to provide us and to only call back the next time. This wasn’t acceptable. My husband called again and was told that they had nothing to inform him. He asked to talk to a supervisor and they inform him it takes 48 hours to get a supervisor to get him! That’s unacceptable!!! We find out from a different source which our shell hasn’t even left the warehouse at Phoenix. Cool! So just what are we paying for?
In the end, now the supervisor Rod calls my husband and tells him the exact exact thing. We’ve got no idea as it will head out, I will only allow you to know when we’ve got some info. We told him that they now are responsible for contract because we had been promised our things within 7-10 business days, and today we’re in 11. Following a heated discussion with Rod ( and being wrapped up on atleast 4 occasions ) we still don’t have any answers. We said to him that we’ll be expecting some sort of compensation or discount since they haven’t followed through with their end of this offer. He advised my husband that once the items are deliveredand they will talk when we will or won’t be compensated. This is complete bull. They’re quick to take your own cash however it is impossible for them to supply an oz of customer support whatsoever. We are without All our possessions, such as my husbands bike that’s his way
Of transport. We’re stuck sleeping on the ground and don’t have any things to cook. . Our infant it with no crib, toys and much more. We’re utterly amazed with the way this firm has managed this. If we’d seen these dreadful reviews before employing them, we’d have not used them. Regrettably we had been in a rush and the cost was perfect. I will never make this mistake again!
We’ve now disputed our first repayment together with Wells Fargo and I am pretty sure that this is led into being a litigation. Don’t use his firm if you don’t never wish to get your items.

    Long-distance move from Chicago, IL
Glad we ignored negative reviews and moved with Zippy Shell

After reading a number of the bad reviews of Zippy Shell, we believed that it was mostly people with poor experiences that render testimonials and many people who had been happy didn’t bother to leave a review. My son was going out of a downtown Chicago flat into Marina Del Rey, CA.

I phoned almost every pod kind moving business to receive their rates. Pack-Rat and PODS would be the priciest coming in at about $3k. Additionally, some of the businesses couldn’t come to the downtown area of Chicago because of a zoning/parking regulations. Zippy’s quotation to get a 10′ has been a little around $2100. Because we were just in the first phases of searching, our quotation died after a couple of days. Approximately a week after, Michael G., my Zippy Transferring Advisor, emailed me saying that due to decreased moving prices, my initial quote dropped from ~$2115 to $1820. By today, I had been prepared to reserve. We determined that my son had the bigger, 15′ casing and reserved it for 2088.

I named the native Chicago Zippy warehouse also clarified I was hiring movers and also will need to understand precisely when the shell could arrive, just as a three hour window wouldn’t function as I had been paying the movers from the summertime. He explained that when I took the very first appointment of the day, then he can put it to me at 8 AM, (+/- 30 minutes). We agreed on daily. At approximately 7:45, about the afternoon of the transfer, the motorist called stating he had been stuck in thick Chicago traffic and he would be there around 8:30. He informed him that was nice as the movers hadn’t yet arrived.

The movers packed my kid’s stuff to the casing in approximately 90 minutes. The driver stayed in the flat with all the shell at the vehicle. The transfer went very easily. The surface of this caged shell has been already covered in plastic wrap and they clarified that the casing, when filled, would be entirely wrapped in vinyl. We had been contacted approximately ten days after that the casing had came at L.A.. We scheduled a 8 AM delivery in L.A. for approximately a week after.

L.A. traffic is barbarous and also on the afternoon of their shipping, both the son’s movers and also the casing came about 8:45, which worked out fantastic.

Bottom line… Zippy Shell’s cost, customer support and overall performance were superb. I’d certainly suggest them.

Nightmare Move -Should be Zero Stars

Don’t use Zippy Shell till you see the fine print in the contract that states that they have up to 12 times AFTER your scheduled delivery date to receive your possessions!! They wrongly sent my items out of Los Angeles to Seattle, rather than my new residence in Omaha!! Horrible communication from the”Escalation Supervisor” Rod…I am sure he never wishes to phone people back since it is either no news or bad news! Once I eventually had my items delivered 10 days late, I anticipated some kind of restitution. Nope, there was nothing whatsoever. . .just”you are lucky you’ve got your items today, are not you? Who treats their clients this way? How do they continue to maintain business? They have to be researched!!

    Long-distance move from Dearborn, MI
    Rough move, poor customer service

Bottom line: I wouldn’t do it again nor recommend the company to anybody I know. (Some products were dirtied and ruined.)

The movement: I had been moving out of the Detroit area to San Jose, CA. This is a 2400+ mi movement and that I needed to maneuver my 2BR apt along with my vehicle. I figured out the the total cost of this zippy shell go (~2700) is not a great deal more than when I did that the transfer myself, therefore I chose to try out ZS.

At source: that the demonstrated up on time (Sept 14) and 3 men filled with the shell at a sensible period of time. Their chief appeared to get a great deal of expertise with ZS and also suggested I depart my floor lamps since they wouldn’t endure the trip. I said OK and left them into my landlord. How about my TV? (I’d wrapped my 40″ LED TV in many layers of bubble wrap and memory .) Yes that’ll be nice you’ve got that item wrapped up really well. I said OK, place it in addition to the couch. He said alright.

I had a rope and that I purchased 6 tie down straps in IKEA to assist them secure it but he said they just had the rope.

In destination: my casing came San Jose (Sept 25) but the earliest they can get it into my mum was Oct 3, also per Tuesday. I inquired if they can send to Sat Oct 7 and following several e-mails they stated yes. I called later and asked if I could find some things out of the shell at the mean time — that the market about how simple this really is — but they said that they are on Thursday and would not I rather wait till Sat? I said OK.

They stated the shell could arrive involving 9-noon and it ended up arriving near noon. I hired three movers to unload it and when I watched my things it seemed like it was through… a tough ride. The majority of it had been nice though, just filthy. I registered a claim for two things. My TV, that now had a busted display, and also my desk that seemed like somebody hit it with a crowbar a few times.

    They responded on this:
“We’ve only discussed that there’s been any damage done for your own items. Please take the time out to complete the attached form and send it back into claims@zippyshell.com
In case you have any signs of harm, please also link to this email you’ll be sending the claims sort.
    Please include:
    Pictures prior to the loading
    Photographs after the loading
Receipt for every item asserted, from first purchase
Evidence of Replacement Price or Fix”

I sent them pictures of: my first receipts, a whole lot of boxes to reveal them with the movement was demanding, and also my 2 damaged products. Additionally, I sent images of a Craigslist ad (and connection ) I’d submitted in Detroit when I attempted to sell a few things — this advertisement revealed my TV was in excellent shape prior to the transfer.

Their answer to my claim was that:
“First, we would like to apologize that you’ve experienced damages to your possessions and truly regret that this has happened during your relocation and we invite you for taking the opportunity to notify us.

There are certain guidelines that have to be adhered to before filing a claim to our insurance company for consideration.
Among those things that we take under account is the policy which you chosen for your transfer, which in this example is the normal Content Protection.

Our tiers offer you a policy level of $50,000 and covers that the container in case a catastrophic event happen.
The normal Content Protection includes a $5,000 allowance and doesn’t cover natural changing of things while in transit, loading/unloading of their container, tornado, earthquake, along with thieving followed by forcible.

While we respect that your possessions are extremely valuable to you, we must notify you that your claim was denied since it doesn’t fulfill the deductible or policy credentials .”

Last remarks: even if they’d replaced my 2 things, worth just $369.93, then I wouldn’t go this path again. Their sales people are good but then it felt just like a herculean performance. They are actually not too elastic with delivery dates or letting you get the casing easily — that is complete BS. Even if I’d let them send October 3, best example, it could have been 19 times to allow them to provide the casing.

I also really don’t understand what sort of”climate controlled environment” they’d since my stuff needed a good deal of dust and also several leaves, just like they left it out for a certain time period.

The next time, I shall only do it myself even though it stinks at least it is going to be more than before and that I will get on with my own life. Live and learn.

    DO NOT use this company

Their advertising is quite misleading. They market free storage for up to 30 days, what they do not tell you is that they require 30 days to receive your things moved. They state 10 -12 days, however it is actually 30. Oh and if you would like to get in touch with some one in this business, very good luck. They do not return calls or emails. I moved all the way into the President for assistance and to give feedback. Shockingly nothing altered. I wouldn’t recommend. I delivered them 25 emails, not 1 response. After my things were transferred I was advised to call their 800 number to receive them delivered out of storage into my dwelling. Was transferred four occasions to be told that they do not understand where my”material” is and that they don’t understand exactly what to do. VERY bad service, and absolutely zero implementation what they state they can perform. The trailer was sent into my pickup residence 6 hours after they said it’d be there. They explained it was because I didn’t answer my telephone, this was after I phoned them that morning to verify delivery of this trailer in 9am – it didn’t come until 3pm. I then needed to allow the people today go who I’d paid to load the trailer, therefore lost cash there. They said I’d 3 days to load, when in fact I’d one. The pressure that they added to my already hectic lifestyle of selling a house and shifting was unacceptable. I won’t ever use them nor can I recommend them to anybody. Do yourself a favor and heed all of these bad reviews, they’re accurate.

Horrible Experience - Still Waiting on our Container after 30 days

The shipping end of the expertise went really smooth. They sent the empty container and also picked up the loaded container punctually in the root place near Seattle. That is where the fantastic portion of our adventure finishes.

I predicted on October 6, 2017 to possess our container sent into our destination place at North Carolina. On November 11th, I got a charging notification to get per month of storage at Seattle. I called them immediately and informed them that they should not be charging me for storage in Seattle if our container was already on the vehicle. The customer support person affirmed it had been on the vehicle and that it will be delivered within 10-14 business days.

On approx. The 11th business day that I called to support delivery so we can allow our apartment complicated know when we’d be getting our container. The individual I spoke with said it was expected to ship outside of the Seattle warehouse on Oct. 25th. . .WHAT???? As soon as I informed the customer service representative we had been advised the items had sent on or about Oct. 10th, she affirmed that they hadn’t. She subsequently advised delivery for Thursday, Nov. 2nd. We left all of our agreements for this particular”scheduled” delivery date.

About Wed., Nov 1st, we received the email requesting us to get them since our shipment was postponed. I had been quite worried because they had already charged me to the 2nd half of this shipping fee that only must have been billed once our container attained the destination warehouse. I phoned and talked to a”supervisor” (his title has been Rod or Don) who cried and said our container needed to become re-routed during New Mexico and then we ought to anticipate it Thur/Fri of these week (11/9 or 11/10). He reimbursed the excess month of storage along with also the 2nd half of the delivery fee. Here is the one thing which has really happened that they said will occur.

Now I phoned to confirm delivery for 11/9 or 11/10 and has been advised, once more, that the container was still in Seattle and might arrive in the destination warehouse on Monday, 11/23/17. I said”you have got to be kidding me!!!!” And restated my dialogue with the supervisor. I was quite upset and disappointed with her response and requested to talk to a supervisor. She advised me that they”do not have the capacity to move to a supervisor” and that she’d escalate the problem and have a supervisor contact me within two days.

With this time that my husband is angry and requires Zippy Shell himself. He attempts to find a supervisor on the phone and can be told repeatedly that the problem was escalated. Oh goodie. . .like that actually means anything. Today we’re supposed to hear back from a supervisor over 3 hours because of this”escalated standing” of the difficulty.

So here we’re throughout the nation from our source and still do not have our things. Nobody will give us a direct answer regarding where it is or if it may arrive. I frankly don’t think anything they tell me in this stage. We have had to invest more than 1,000 only to get things to work with regular. No telling how much time we might need to wait or when our substance will also arrive or what state it’ll be in when/if it evolves.

DON’T Utilize ZIPPY SHELL!!! They’ll lie for you and ship you at a endless circle talking to folks who can not tell you some legitimate details.

Reviews scared me, Zippy Shell out-performed by a mile

I initially reserved Zippy Shell to move from DC to Los Angeles since they were neighborhood, had a casing which was an ideal size, and also the pricing looked reasonable.

Once booking, and following our things was gone, I chose to read testimonials on the internet to receive a feeling of what to anticipate, and to my horror, I read quite a few of horrible customer experiences that triggered quite a lot of concern. Individuals mentioned their things arriving at incorrect places, needing to wait for 30 days for birth, 12 days for shipping after it was already in their town, and had horrible customer support interactions. Obviously, I was regretting my choice and crossing my fingers that these were not likely to be the situation with my movement.

To my pleasant surprise, I got a telephone call 8 calendar days following the casing left my previous home I want to know it had arrived at Los Angeles. I had not even left DC yet! They initially said it’d be 10-14 business days, so was really impressive!

After arriving in LA, I called to schedule delivery. They stated they generally request 72 hrs notice, but managed to send it within two days of my phone. Drop off communicating with the warehouse individual was great. We were blessed to confirm location and time, which is almost always a wonderful personal touch. My possessions came undamaged (except for 2 badly packaged Ikea wine glasses). More frequently than not, harm results from poor packaging, and I have moved enough to understand things has to be tight like a great match on Tetris.

Thank you Zippy Shell for demonstrating the terrible reviews wrong and providing me an awesome shifting encounter.

Took over a month to arrive - lost in transit

The regional people in DC and CA are great, however, the parent firm that transfers long distance is dreadful. They continually told us that our shell was in transit, simply to notify us after 20 days that it had never left Virginia. Rather than expediting it, they took more than two months to get it to us, using a terrible absence of communication and service. No single point of touch -we always needed to describe our situation to another person every time, and we’re always given the exact same answer – it’s in transit, no anticipated date of birth listed. We literally had no idea where it was or when it was coming until a month and 3 days later pickup, we’ve got a call from the regional folks in CA stating it had came. They had no thought we’d had some troubles so they were seeking to send it in a couple of days. Happily after hearing our story, they delivered it the exact same day. Within a month of living with no furniture and no way to cook is gloomy and pricey!! We needed to purchase bare essentials and eat out all of the time. Our children had to begin school with just the 1 bag of clothing we’d brought and air beds to sleep on for more than a month. No seats to sit on. And with no idea once the finish was in sight or when they’d really just lost our items was just awful. I would advise that the DC or even CA zippy cubes for local movements but not for long distance!!

    The worst moving company ever!

Zippy shell is your worst moving company ever. I moved from CA to NY, on November 30th. Before signing up contract, I stated I’ll get my casing waaaay before Christmas, and that I specifically stated:”so that I could place my Christmas ornaments in shell” and they affirmed! It did not happened. Since my flat demanded COI and insurance, that required around two days to allow them to matter (which they didn’t ). Long story short, they ruined Christmas for my child also didn’t send my shell punctually. Worse, they advised delivery for me on the afternoon that they were already closed for vacations so that I can’t do anything! They liethread and don’t care about something. Untill now, I still do not have my casing! My son didn’t speak for 2 entire times when he learned that he will not have his possessions and Christmas tree decorations in time for Christmas. DO NOT CHOOSE ZIPPY SHELL. DOESN’T WORTH EMOTIONAL DISTRESS.

We proceeded in AZ to MN… at OCTOBER. Now that its the conclusion of the ending and we’re still waiting to discover if our things will also leave AZ! We predict and now we get the exact same run around, they’re awaiting a provider. We live like we’re squatting and with no professional tools to perform my job. Oh, and meanwhile they keep charging us for storage when we’ve requested repeatedly to send it to us already! This provider is a total scam. They hold your things for ransom. Who knows if our things will depart the area of origination let alone if they’ll arrive here in which they belong??!!

Avoid! Takes way too long to ship!

Everything started out good – that they had been fast to present a quote, ensured me that they would ship fast and it would be simple.

Issues: they only gave two days to proceed versus the ensured 3. They dropped it off to a Wednesday morning at 10:30am so common sense would tell you that they’d pick it up Saturday. Wrong. I received a call on Friday while I was at work and they stated they had been in their way to pick this up and once I said the three day moving time that he said”yeah, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning. That is 3 times .” I was able to convince him to speak with his supervisor and they”created an exception” and picked it up on Saturday.

They ensured me that it would be 8-13 business days. Well, it has been 14 business days and they do not appear to have any idea when it does arrive. It’s all of my things inside with two suitcases of clothing so I have had to rebuy a good deal of it. 14 days might not seem like much, but it is their normally apathy towards what as soon as they receive their money that is the issue.

    ZippyShell

I’m really disappointed in how the last measures of the shipping of the bunny were managed with this particular account. I phoned ZippyShell a week and talked with someone called Crista concerning the simple fact that my mom hadn’t got the shipping of her storage pod. Crista promised to explore the issue and never called me again. I phoned today and talked with Balinda in the Client Care group, who advised me that the bunny was sent into the Indiana warehouse along with an email was delivered for my mom, however, the email wasn’t opened. I advised Balinda that my mom is older and doesn’t appear in email. Additionally, I stated that each my request, ZippyShell was sending me mails, in addition to my mom, so I could track and make certain that everything was going smoothly. ZippyShell didn’t send me that the email saying that the bunny had came in Indiana. As soon as I put up the bunny transfer, I wasn’t advised that that I had to confirm transportation. I had been advised that the bunny would arrive in my moms house at apx. 2-3 weeks.

Balinda offered to decrease the sum of the storage 100, however, she wouldn’t let me speak with a supervisor regarding my dilemma. She stated that she wouldn’t escalate the telephone becuase the contract hadn’t been broken. I analyzed the contract using Balinda on the telephone, but there’s not anything in the contract concerning the way Zippy Shell communicates. Balinda stated we speak via email, and that’s not in the arrangement. I advised Balinda that historically ZippyShell was sending both me and my mom a email, but since I wasn’t sent an email letting me know that the bunny had came and I want to know that I had to program a delivery for my mum’s home. Balinda said just the principal individual receives mails. ZippyShell billed a monthly storage charge to the time that the pod came in Indiana during now. In accordance with Balinda, the commission has been warranted. I disagree since ZippyShell altered the way that they communicated with us by leaving me from this email confirming the bunny had came. Balinda refused to allow me to talk to a supervisor, but she provided to alter the email telling to my email address so that I can get the emails. I agreed, but told Balinda that I would be calling back to talk to a supervisor.

When I called back I talked to Lauren. I told Lauren that the foundation of occasions. She informed me that there was nothing she can do and which she wouldn’t escalate the telephone for precisely the identical motive as Balinda. I hung up and called back, this time talking to Kimberly. Kimberly pulled up the accounts and did not say anything. I said,”Hi” and she stated,”give me a moment.” Then she stumbled on the telephone using laughing at the background also said,”You’ve called many times in the previous five minutes, and now I can not help you either.”

This client support group of Balinda, Lauren and Kimberley might not allow me speak to a supervisor. I’m really disappointed with the absence of consumer support.

I emailed the helpdesk and also they nothing can be carried out. I beleive my email moved exactly the exact same 3 customer support folks who advised I couldn’t speak to a supervisor.

As a Real Estate Broker I presume to movers to my customers all of the time, but due to the absence of customer support (and professionalism on behalf of their client support staff ) I won’t be sending any more business to ZippyShell. I will urge PODS.

    Beware of Hidden Fees

The Zippy Shell representative has been quite clear on the telephone that I was able to cancel up to 2 weeks prior to the move. But , there are hidden charges once you cancel, but which aren’t recorded on the contract however are just visible if you hyperlink off the true touch to sub-pages.

This firm has a two-star score for a motive and then my experience with them, I would not ever use them. They’re disingenuous on the telephone along with the 4-page contract doesn’t include all of the information it must make fees apparent. All charges must be around the authorized part of the contract.

The absolute most moving business. My container has been picked up on December 19th. I’ll finally get shipping on January 17th, 4 months to the day after pickup. The container sat in California for two or more weeks before they even began to move it. In spite of all the holidays factored in I had been advised that the container came over a week following the newest arrival date, based on the way they compute business days, each the contract. Then they had the guts to lessen the amount of times late by producing additional holiday days and stating those days do not count as business days (Dec 22). They informed me of coming on a Monday, advised me that the container had arrived the preceding Friday and did not count that additional business day either. They confessed being 3 business days late then only said we are sorry there is nothing we can do to get this appropriate. No modification to this invoice. I won’t even go into the way they were two hours late in falling off the container at the front end of this movement costing me an additional two hours of loading labour. Stay far away from this unethical, incompetent firm.

Total misrepresentation of this unit dimensions and very bad customer services! They assert the unit stays up to four chambers, which can be incredibly ineffective as well false advertisements. After the unit pulls up on your premises and you find how big they ask you in the event you would like another unit delivered attempting sell another shipping fee and storage price.

As soon as I approached the shipping driver, about the magnitude of this device, he stated it does take up to four chambers”but just what you actually desire”. The next party movers also stated they’ve advised the company multiple instances of this issue but the issue persists. They both thanked me for never carrying it out to them and request me to phone the office seeing my worries, since they are the person’s the clients typically take their frustrations out on. This is seemingly a standard phenomenon and quite unethical business practice at this firm.

As soon as I called to talk about the problem with Stacy, I was basically told that I was a lair by both Stacy and Amy”the director”. They claim I was told that the unit retains just”2-3 chambers with just a moderate quantity of things”, however the one thing I had been requested by Nancy was when I had been moving a piano since”they have had a issue with this the past couple times”, concerning what the response was no violin. We’ve got a little 1,500 sf home and approximately half of those things are being transferred and without any appliances. They refused to compensate for anything or any solutions and were reluctant to return to a just and reasonable compromise.

I have used other businesses like this for transferring before and that I regret ever calling Zippy Shell and providing them an opportunity and my cash! I don’t recommend them, particularly as there are quite a few different businesses out there that are going to treat you with respect and be upfront about just how far the device may hold. My hands are tied since they’ve 1/2 of my things, I have compensated for movers, and so that I still have more to place in storage… plus they do not care, they simply want your cash.

Do not ship anything precious with this corporation. If other firms control more, pay them – but do not ever use ZippyShell. I intend to post the images of my classic bikes and wheels before and after they had been sent in a ZippyShell container. My container was sent to a wrong place and it took months before I got it. From the time I got the container a massive part of carefully packaged things were wiped out. Afterward the firm offered a couple hundred bucks to get my silence, asked me to not write poor review about this business in exchange for the cost. Guess what!

Just another company that has chosen to fly by it's own unfair rules

Once more a happy go lucky moving storage and relocation business with an overwhelmingly favorable Internet presence bares it is supporting by being merely another firm which has opted to fly by it’s very own unfair principles concealing behind a nicely concealed sentence in its arrangement with its own victims who states that the price of producing the goods which you have entrusted into their delicate palms can alter at any moment for any reason.

When I first contacted Zippy Shell I obtained a first quotation which contained delivery to my property. In the time that I had been advised that the shipping cost would be much more expensive due to the space my new house was out of the terminal in Syracuse, NY. Some time afterwards once I packed up my casing and I had it picked up, I believed I would attempt to save a couple bucks and I’d rent a truck and select my family things up my self, so I shifted my delivery alternative to what’s known as a terminal pickup. Several weeks after I changed my thoughts back to getting my casing delivered into my new house. I phoned and talked to some reresentative and had been told delivery would be another $850. This can appear to be a good deal but it’s what I expected because it was exactly what I had been initially quoted back at first.

But before I consented to this fee I wished to talk about us this fee with my spouse as any great husband could. We determined that yes cover the 850, get the item delivered and be finished with that. After all of it comprised our things being unloaded from the Zippy Shell individuals! So 48 hours after I phoned back and affirm with Zippy Shell that yes I wish to change back into house delivery and yes we’ll cover the extra $850. I am set on an extended hold only because they will need to”ensure their numbers are right”, something that I had been comfortable with since I only went through exactly the exact same procedure two days past before talking with the manager (my wife). They arrived cack at stake and asked when they could bill the credit card which we had on record and that I consented. We supported a date (Friday, 4/6/18) along with also a rear up date (Tuesday, 4/10/18) incase or weather another crisis and that I said good by.

This was Monday afternoon, 4/2/18 and aparantly they’d long to April Fools fetivities an extra 24 hours at Zippy Shell Corporate since I got a voice mail on Wednesday that the 4th that to be able to get my casing delivered and unloaded because we originally agreed and contracted to perform on Friday that I had to phone them back and pay an extra $442. It appeared that since my delivery was higher than 100 miles apart that the terminal had been charging the charge and that they had no control over this circumstance. So after calling two and receiving exactly the identical quote, and once I approved that quotation and Zippy Shell billed my credit card putting a contract in force, Zippy Smell was enjoying with their own rules and was currently holding my merchandise hostage to an extra $450. After talking at length with Brittany, the client support robot that stated over and over the way she would understand my rage and frustration with the scenario which Crappy Smell had put me in I had been refereed to Lauren, an escalations supervisor who also explained that she knew my own anger and frustration, however because of an incompatibility within their applications using all the Root company (maybe not even a Crappy Smell company) they were oblivious or even the extra charge- like that was the very first time that they had a delivery greater that 100 miles away from the terminal. Lauren subsequently referred me into the initial contract which said on page four which the expense of delivery could alter anytime for any reason with some quantity and that there was nothing that she can do.

Feeling right: First the Terminal men and women aren’t a part of Zippy Shell plus they create their own principles, rules which Zippy Shell will be aparantly oblivious of and that Zippy Shell tolerates or in the very least haven’t figured out just how to convey their policies to their clients, and that they have a glaring software incompatability that they refuse to address or fix. And secondly, tucked off in a 20,000 term contract is a clause which says your price can vary by some number, for any reason, in any moment!

So I will give you that. Beware the multicultural joyful faces on their site. Beware the simplicity at which you feel you can proceed with Crappy Smell. They’re just a different corporate entity made by theives that will hold your possessions hostage and they’ll do it with a grin.

    This is presently unresolved.

I live in Sacramento CA and let one of those crappy containers. Includes inner cage where your material goes, which considerably reduces useable square feet. They delivered. We all loaded. Was to be kept in Sacramento warehouse ~4 mos. Approximately 6 wks after, a RUDE young man phoned and said Sacramento firm was shutting and my stuff will be transferred into SF region. I said NO, bc it wasn’t packaged to be transferred 180 miles round trip. His reply was that I did not have an option unless I wished to take my things back THAT VERY AFTERNOON. I TOLD HIM I DIDNT HAVE A PLACE TO TAKE IT W/ such short note! They transferred it. Three weeks afterwards, I took from storage. They drove it all of the way back; ~90 miles. My lovely furniture includes SO MANY SCRATCHES AND GOUGES. They weren’t attentive. I registered a claim. They promised me it’d be compensated. IT WAS REJECTED. Their motive: OOPS, WE FILED WITH THE WRONG INS CO!!! I never got a cent for all of the damage. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND DON’T Provide A ROYAL RAT ABOUT THEIR SO-CALLED CUSTOMER! AVOID!!!!!

    Bait and Switch

People today write reviews when they are angry or overjoyed. I have given ZippyShell a one-star inspection, so clearly I am upset. On the other hand, the world does not have to read my personal sob story.

What does the reader want to understand about Zippy Shell? You do not have to listen to my play – you have to be familiar with vital facts.

    Here’s What’s important:

Zippy Shell gets the look of a snappy upstart which has enhanced upon the logistics of an older industry throug the ability of information and technologies. Nothing could be farther from the reality.

Zippy Shell is essentially a call centre and a web site. Moving is a really physical procedure. The call centre employees and site do not move your belongings from point A to point B. Zippy Shell is a the worst kind of theory – let us break up a procedure into bits, outsource those bits into multiple sellers, and make a procedure where many people have a little quantities of responsbility, and in which nobody actually needs to answer to the entire (terrible) encounter. Let us put the majority of our effort to our sales force to market (and disguise) that bootleg merchandise.

Your relocation is managed by means of a run of outsourced partners. A”franchise spouse” will pick up your own stuff. Another franchise spouse may pick up your belongings once it is delivered, by train, to your destination. They won’t understand each other. They will not have any responsibility for you – you’re not their customer. Zippy Shell is the customer. Zippy Shell will organize with all the various partners since they each meet their part of this bigger procedure.

Therefore, if and when you experience an issue, there’ll be no one to listen to your worries. The call centre folks are located in Florida and will tell you whatever that you need to hear before you create your first deposit. As soon as they have your things, fantastic luck – you’ll be made to sign a sheet of paper which basically states”this worked flawlessly and I really like it” before they’ll release your possessions. So, as soon as you’ve got your things and you attempt to complain, they will just say”seems like here enjoy the move went off without a hitch.” You are going to be advised that finally you’re able to speak with a supervisor – somebody with a feeling of ownership over the process, somebody with the capacity to interject and repair the circumstance. Ha, silly you, you gullible, sad little man. Even in the event that you speak to this individual, they can not respond to the job that has been done – they are only working in the Flordia telephone centre.

What was most suprising to me is that they could not provide you a standing at any given point during the transfer. Our stuff has been picked up and we could not get up an upgrade for 3 months. It was just a whole black hole. As I said, not a tech business – not a more economical way to maneuver.

My movement with Zippy Shell was beyond dreadful. I dropped a great deal of property. I dropped a great deal of cash. The strain and frustration likely took a year off my life.

My grievances are many, however, the most prominent point of malfeseance was that:

They did not send pods/trailers/containers to my own residence. They delivered a truck instead. You are able to see the image – does this seem like everything you see on the site? That truck was not at the contract, which was not the bargain, but they did it anyhow. Everything got worse from there.

I must move on today. I spent four months fighting with this business, but if someone goes against a company, the individual usually falls. All they could do will be correct a review.

    So many issues

Fantastic service and friendly folks on front. The customer support rep promoting me their solutions was quite friendly, responsive, friendly, and great at their job. It’s clear they’re compensated on a commission based arrangement.

The transport of our products was relatively rapid (out of Colorado Springs to Melbourne Florida).

Where it’s got messed up along with a hassle was in the tail end. My destination address was not plugged in their system correctly and when I needed to program the redelivery of my block they stated that as my speech is 5 kilometers farther than that which they had in their machine. This cost me an extra $157.

After we scheduled that the redelivery to get a Saturday. They emailed and explained the warehouse would take action on Saturday but because it would place their man in overtime there could be another $150 charge.

In the end, a little but irritating thing they will do, will be 4/5 occasions I phoned their customer support group, they’d immediately put me on hold once I have been waiting on hold for a person to pick up the telephone. I will be in queue awaiting for a person to respond and if it rings, the individual on the other line will instantly convey”zippy shell. I want to set you on a concise grip”. I would know if this happened after, but it occurred 4 days to me. Sounds like they do not have food direction or liability. For all I know they are chatting it up using their block mate or assessing their Facebook in between requirements.

Again, little point, however, speaks to their own client services. The contrast is so crude in comparison with their”earnings” group.

I have used PODs twice. UPack once. Today Zippy Cube once. PODs is hands down the very best, and you will cover it. Zippy is not too much more economical, so when I do so again I’ll probably pay the $200 extra and also have a much better more hassle free experience.

I thinks it is absurd for a business to surprise you with over $200 in additional prices for something which isn’t my issue. If you are available on Saturdays and from getting somebody there make an overtime problem, employ more people or do anything differently but do not pass this cost onto me after the truth.

Additionally a gap in 5 kilometers shouldn’t equal an extra 150+ bucks, they could get away with this since they understand you need your items back, and 99 percent of those individuals are worried within a mo plus a gap in 5 kilometers shouldn’t equal an extra 150+ bucks, they could get away with this since they understand you would like your items back, and 99 percent of those individuals are worried over having recently transferred and my guess is most people simply spend the cash and get on with it.

The movers that loaded my items out laughed in my furniture, smoked in my house without my consent, snatched a half smoked cigarette in my porch to spare for later and then whined about the number of boxes I’d. Among the exact revolting people (called Steve, I believe ) was about the team to move in my new location. This time I have to follow profanity and stories of the love life. Horrendous Customer Service

If you are contemplating Zippyshell, turn another way.

In the pushy sales individual to the unresponsive customer support group, you are left with a sour taste in your mouth. Our shell was 7 hours late and when we didn’t reach out, we likely wouldn’t have obtained the shell in any way. There’s a HUGE disconnect between the client support group along with the true warehouse.

After we obtained the email that our shell was sent to our planned destination, then we were thrilled since we were anticipating the worse. After scheduling the delivery to our new residence, we had been advised that because we travelled with self-unloading that we just had two hours to unload prior to being billed an extra $100/hr. They indicated that when we hired their movers, then we’d have 3 hours to unload. Their logic did NOT make sense. Why would we want MORE time to unload when we’d movers? It was evident that their movers needed a three hour minimum and that we would be asked to cover the whole 3 hours if it would require no longer than 30 minutes to allow them to unload. After rolling our eyes and scratching our tongue, we went together with the two hour self-unload in hopes of employing our own helpers. On the day that our shell has been first scheduled to arrive, I called the customer support staff in hopes of having a better time – no fortune. Nevertheless, they did affirm that our shell could arrive at that specified period. Yet more, it got later and later and nothing. Rather I called the warehouse directly and was told that they had us scheduled for a subsequent period. Furious, I called the customer support staff to inquire if there was anything that they can do to fix the problem and as anticipated, nothing was provided.

Our shell came on the rear of a trailer totally exposed (that they DID NOT wrap the casing such as the sales man described). Since the shell came later than anticipated, we needed to unload without a help. The truck driver FORGOT the ramp which makes it challenging to rapidly unload. Happily , he stepped in and assisted, which makes him the most precious individual at Zippyshell.

When we were to do so again, I wouldn’t proceed with Zippyshell. I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody. Their customer support is dreadful and the disconnect between their client support staff and warehouse is overly clear to create the customer support staff helpful at all. Should you choose to go with Zippyshell, simply request the warehouse number and contact them right. Forget the care group and it may be a much better overall experience.

    Do not use

I cannot recommend this firm to anybody seeking to proceed. It took a complete month for the things to be sent out of 8 hours off. Furthermore, the group who packaged my things did such a horrible task, they broke my own TV and lots of different products. When attempting to speak to the company to whine, I was met with complete silence. They clearly don’t care about their clients. Prevent Zippy Shell at Any Cost.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This was actually the worst consumer experience of my entire life. I contracted with Zippy Shell to move my household out of Charlotte, NC to the SF Bay Region. I found them on line and what appealed to me was the fact that the trailers have license plates and so can be parked on the road legally vs. POD along with other businesses (that aren’t allowed to be parked on the road where we now reside in CA). When I phoned and talked to a sales man (that I’d written down her title…) I gave them my fall dead shipping date of 5/27 and we then picked the container drop-off date in Charlotte according to the projected delivery period that was supplied to me about the telephone (5/11). The ceremony that was supplied was foreshadowed by an email I got the very first week of May saying that my container had arrived at CA. How can these be? I had not even obtained my container in Charlotte to pack my things yet? They then could not track down the contract I e-signed, etc., a entire mess. The container did arrive on 5/11 at the afternoon but the metal bit used to take out the cage out of the trailer was flexed so that the ramp could not be extended… the motorist needed to return to the warehouse to get it repaired and subsequently returned to my house in Charlotte after that afternoon. It had been picked up on 5/14 and my premise was it’d be on it’s way to CA on 5/15, as I had been advised. WRONG! I phoned Zippy Shell on 5/23 to confirm that my container had been in transit and could in reality be sent on 5/27 also it HADN’T EVEN LEFT CHARLOTTE YET – it was sitting in the warehouse at Charlotte for 10 days. I naturally was freaking out since I then knew there was no way it’d be sent on 5/27. Client Service said that my container was”bumped” in the cargo which left on 5/15 and nobody had planned it to leave till I CALLED. Imagine if I had not called? When would my things have gotten there? Never? They told me that the sales person I talked with gave me false truth about the shipping time period and they’d”look to it to determine if additional training on protocol has been required.” After dealing with Lauren, who I think is a”Escalation Manager”, I was eventually told my container could be picked up in Charlotte on 5/25 and arrive at California on 5/29. Obviously the container failed to arrive on 5/29 but that I was subsequently told by Lauren (just AFTER it came in CA) that”the time of year at the Bay region is really busy and it might take as much as a week to receive your items delivered – we might need to validate scheduling with dispatch in the warehouse close to your region ). Are you F*CKING kidding me? Why did not someone tell me that when I was reserving? The sole reason I went for this particular company was since I was told my items could be sent on 5/27. I’d have packed my sh*t upward and had it picked up nicely before 5/14 had I known it was going to take this long. My stuff wasn’t delivered before 6/7 – 12 days later I had been told it’d get delivered. I have a 2yo and 4yo, we’d none of our things, I needed to go out and purchase copies of towels, sheets, etc., and of course that the quite a few occasions I needed to telephone their 888 number to get a hold of somebody. Over a deal of occasions I was told someone would return my telephone and HOURS would pass with nothing, I’d then need to phone them back and essentially disturbs them to find a response. Once More, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    Do not recommend

I am very disappointed by Zippy Shell. I discovered that there is a big disconnect between the sales staff and client care. Revenue does a terrific job and I discovered my realtor to be exceptionally friendly and useful, however Zippy Shell under-delivered.
    – My contract says that my possessions will arrive at my destination at 5-10 business days, and I am entirely understanding of this. However, my sales man kept mentioning she is bound to state this, but my possessions are there earlier. Customer attention keeps mentioning that it is peak time and my possessions will require the entire 10 days.
    – there’s not any method to monitor down the status of your possessions when the Zippy Shell ships out of the source warehouse. I’ll only receive an email once they arrive in the destination warehouse. This makes it amazingly difficult to schedule labour and organize the real move. The customer support staff can simply find that your Zippy Shell is currently in transit, but can not offer you some extra details.
    – The idea, in concept, looked just like a fantastic concept, but it is incredibly faulty. I utilized professional movers plus they found it unbelievably hard to package the cage with no anything change or hang the side.
I Truly wanted to enjoy Zippy Shell, but I am so frustrated. We did not bring nearly enough with us as we sit in this empty house awaiting our possessions. We even tacked on a small holiday during our transfer, trusting our Zippy Shell would grab us up from the time we got to our destination. I wouldn’t advocate for anyone searching for long distance movers.

    Best choice in moving

Zippy Shell could have been the best choice I left for the whole move. I moved across country and even though it was a little pricier than the least expensive alternative I AM SO GLAD I MADE THIS CHOICE! This whole experience was amazing and worry free and relaxed. The customer support was AMAZING. I transferred alone with two toddlers and they were able to make me feel assured and incredibly calm for the whole move.

When I first called for my quotation it had been simple painless and no tension. We spoke about what the perfect approach to plan the transfer was for my loved ones and signing all of the paperwork was a cinch. They had been really hands on and never made me feel as though I had been abandoned in shifting limbo.

Since the load date got closer they were quite open and upfront about exactly what to expect and exactly what I had done. The movers that came to my home were insanely considerate and kind. They even brought additional paper and wrapped things I had not thought of wrap. They let me be a part of loading my cage to be certain everything was as secure as I’d hoped it’d be.

After my shell was delivered and on it had been to my destination I’d movers jitters and has to’ve phoned them a half dozen occasions requesting upgrades such as a nervous first time mother leaving her child alone for the very first time. They were patient and great rather than made me feel terrible about calling requesting upgrades.

Now this is where we hit a snafu, and in average Zippy Shell style they were AMAZING tackling it. Among my small people is on exceptionally specialized formulation, like not accessible at a standard shop type of thing. I believed I’d packed enough and lo and behold I had been incorrect. I was in full blown panic mode, not to mention the place I purchased from lost the ball and has been postponed in mailing more formula into our new address. I called zippy casing and explained the problem and they let us visit our cage and receive the excess formula I had packed although it was not our passing date (we picked to get a terminal unload). They had been so understanding and kind which it was a medical urgency. Joe in the San Leandro terminal is the sweetest kindest guy I’ve ever met.

On unloading day that our cage was out waiting for us to start and finish out everything. Joe arrived and gave us some guidance and provided aid. It was a really uncomplicated and non stressful encounter.

Overall I’d recommend Zippy Shell to anyone moving across state and I couldn’t offer a greater praise to this corporation. Nobody enjoys moving, its simply not enjoyable. Nevertheless, they were able to make it slightly less sucky. They ensured me and made me feel as though they’d my spine to get the entirety of this move. Fantastic firm FIVE STARS FOR SURE!

Misleading - Costing Me Hundreds Extra

I am just going to post my own email on ZippyShell and their reply:

    My Email:

Again I wish to express and place on record my frustration with ZippyShell. Following my front end experience I’d expected the unloading procedure would be simpler however this wasn’t the situation. Fourteen days ahead of my Shell was to be delivered I phoned ZippyShell to begin the shipping procedure. I requested for unloading to be added to my invoice no questions asked that I had been quoted an unloading price of $350. As soon as I got an email about my Shell arriving at the final destination I phoned ZippyShell to program delivery. I had been given a priority date of July 6th and also an alternate date of July 10th. I had been told I’d be informed if my very first date wasn’t honored. Just July 5th I had been driving from Michigan to Chapel Hill, NC in preparation for a July 6th shipping date. I called late afternoon of July 5th to validate the delivery- just to learn that my stuff wouldn’t be delivered before July 10th- leading to unnecessarily losing time with family over the July 4th holidays. On July 10th when my Shell came I was instantly given a statement from Tom (unloading captain) to an extra $300 charge since the 28 stairs, that weren’t asked about, weren’t contained within my unloading quotation. He relayed to me that ZippyShell prices from the stair- significance every stair cost me an extra $10.71. Feeling like I’d no other choice to get to sleep in my own bed that night I signed the bill to take the fee. Through the unloading procedure among the movers whined to me straight about both flights of stairs to get into the next floor”This is the reason you won’t ever find a mover residing on the 3rd floor” and on the shrink wrapping of the furniture that I explained to him had been completed by ZippyShell movers around the front end of the procedure. I know it was a hot afternoon – I supplied water and a substantial tip to every mover.

Overall I was pleased to utilize ZippyShell- it had been an economical shifting option – every telephone call was fine – my movers in Dallas were efficient and strong – and Tom and Jaylen in Chapel Hill have been a joy to use. But, I really do feel as though I had been there or loathed were significant lapses in communicating on multiple events leading to unexpected costs to me personally. I’d prefer this to be corrected with a refund of my extra $300 unloading prices.

    Their Response:

Thanks for writing in about your own cocktail and worries regarding your relocation together with Zippy Shell. We very much appreciate the comments and we apologize to hear that the unloader whined regarding the measures as that isn’t the expert behaviour we try to. I do believe that a representative didn’t inquire as to if there were measures or lifts the movers would want to utilize so as to unload your own shell.

Regrettably, we’re not able to emptiness that charge since it’s recorded in the contract which has been signed.

Thank you very much for your time in this issue and we hope you’re enjoying your new house.

    Kind rgards

Stay Far away from Zippy Shell

Stay far out with this business – if you appreciate your things and require a smooth movement – don’t move with Zippy shell. They’re unreliable, will conduct your credit card with no authorization for fees, pack the pliers so badly that whatever was ruined, don’t read labels in your own boxes – hence no need to tag things delicate as they wont require any note, and they don’t pick up or send if you need to program them. Pretty much everything relating to this business is awful.

Zippy Movers is a living nightmare. They don’t meet their contract and employ convicted felons to package the shell that they had no experience doing. I needed to leave behind furniture as a result of their incompetence. Now I am coping with non-delivery of the products. I was assured my merchandise will arrive at NH from the 15th of July almost a month after having picked up in California. So far, it is impossible for them to give me a status on my merchandise. I’m to start a new job soon and am a single mum of a 6 year-old. What exactly are people to do, sleep on the ground? Their Customer Service is wholly useless. I’ve been calling and they all tell me is that they have to stop the telephone. Someone PLEASE help me. I am so stressed out over this issue.

    Worst customer experience ever.

    Zippy Shell Storage and Moving
It was the WORST customer experience of my entire life. I had been (wrongly) guaranteed and reassured of how easy and convenient this procedure is for me…

Two weeks of arguing about being double billed, with workers destined to allow me to talk to a supervisor. Being told that they did not understand where my house was. Being advised that the time that I asked was inaccessible because”it is a weekend and peak moving season” (umm… You’re a moving firm and do not create the necessary alterations in personnel for peak moving season??) . Having to describe 5 occasions I want to possess the trailer delivered as late in the afternoon as you can, just to be informed the warehouse is not available after 5pm, also that my items would be sent between 9am-1pm to a Monday. FINALLY being told that they can”escalate” my situation to supervisor, but maybe not for two business days. NEVER being contacted by any boss. I inquired how I was supposed to even hire someone to come help if they don’t know precisely if my possessions are coming. They offered to get me hire their employees come unload for $300 additional. Found men and women that could help unload at 10am- all strangers to us from our brand new church- (because you told us repeatedly that the truck could be here as near 10am as you can )- onle to possess 10am go and come. Being called at 1:30 from the driver to inform us they’re 45min out. Hmm, warehouse has to be open after 5 or how does the driver reunite? Guess who is still not here (3:00pm)?

    Zippy Shell Moving & Storage

I strongly urge you NOT to select Zippy Shell to your transfer. Definitely the WORST customer service I’ve ever dealt with – that I still have not spoken to a supervisor or supervisor after several attempts since my possessions were chosen up – and it required from 6/15 to 7/18 to get my possessions delivered and completely NO discount or refund was provided.

My possessions were picked up on June 15th to be sent across state from PA to CA. I scheduled a cross country move with zippy shell on 4/21/18 to be picked up on 6/15 to get a 7/1 delivery at the latest. Called customer support rep on 6/8 to confirm and schedule a direct dispatch, no storage had and was advised that would not be a issue and it had been verified. Then I also verified with all the movers if they packed up the vehicle , – they said it’d be 3 times maximum to boat, since it was a Friday and they needed to load two additional storage cages to the cargo before it might leave. Believing everything was on schedule, 10 days after I phoned on 6/25 to validate the location of their cargo and supply the shipping address in CA. Much to my shock, I had been advised it had not even sent from PA yet. They apologized for mistake and the customer service representative assured me they’d manage it – she said she talked with her manager who would”expedite the dispatch” to arrive at the close of the week 6/29 and I need to call back in the afternoon to receive accurate date when cargo would arrive. I phoned back the following day and talked with a different client rep that said unfortunately it would not have the ability to make it before Monday 7/3. I didn’t have any other choice, and so I explained that was fine. I had been told I would find an email the next day affirming. The following day I got an email that said that it was”expedited” for shipping involving 7/6-7/9. Again distinct dates and info compared to previous two customer service representatives stated. Although really frustrated, I again was composed and waited till 7/9. Still no email or telephone to let me understand my device had arrived. I phoned in the day on 7/9 and had been told”that they do not have GPS to know where the truck is, but she talked with cargo and it’d be there that evening. I would find a confirmation/delivery email late at evening or early in the morning and I would then have the ability to schedule my shipping to my home from the storage center .”
From 5pm on 7/10, no email. I once again called the only amount that the provider provides and has been told by customer support rep Sabel who”oh I am sorry that the rep you talked with yesterday supplied you incorrect info. It is not there yet and could arrive sometime this week”. I requested to talk to a supervisor or supervisor and was told I could not, that somebody could call me in two business days and in the meantime again was told they would expedite my shipment.” I stated I was already told that my dispatch has been expedited for 7/6 – which reaction made no sense at all. I asked again to talk to a manager and she advised me”she is on the other line so that she can not talk right now.” I requested to be put through and could wait on hold until I could talk to somebody. She said”ma’am I can not do this and that I have other calls to take so I want to eliminate the line with you today.”
Again, regardless of date or true information given and nobody has contacted me by the company to rectify the circumstance. I registered a complaint with BBB along with the provider simply said they did not have a motive for the late shipping and confessed nothing else concerning the horrible customer support and shortcomings of this criticism.
I didn’t request a refund or a reduction for some of the up to this stage, without a discount was provided for the mistake with dispatch. I just wished to understand where my possessions were and that I get a direct answer from direction. It had been over a month because I sent with this organization and my possessions were eventually delivered to 6/18. Mind you additionally, the warehouse had been over one hour from my location and just did deliveries involving 8-12pm. By this stage I’d started my new job and had no excess time off, however, the company wouldn’t create any exceptions (nor was I ever told this when I phoned to find advice and a quotation back in April).

Again – I believed picking this corporation would be fine and that I read the terrible reviews and prepared so, but I was quite wrong. Please don’t use this business if you like your own time, money and sanity.

    Zippy Shell Worst movers ever!

Here is the WORST company for transferring. We hired them to transfer us from Colorado to California together with help in packaging.

EVERY PIECE OF OUR FURNITURE IS DAMAGED!!! After the team was unloading other moving firms were at the dock and inquiring why the moving firm didn’t use blankets to secure our furniture. The business that unloaded our trailer also took photos of the harm due to their album and stated they would forward copies to ZippyShell. They were also amazed at the way the trailer was packaged.

I called to make assert rather than obtained form, phone again and receive kind combined with this email:

We will require some detailed information from you so as to start processing your claim. Please take some time to complete the attached form and send it back to claims@zippyshell.com

    When available, please include:
    Pictures prior to the loading
    Photographs after the loading
Receipt for each item claimed, from first purchase
Evidence of Replacement Cost or Fix
Any Extra details/evidence that may be important for processing your claim successfully
*PLEASE DO NOT DISCARD ANY DAMAGED ITEMS UNTIL THE CLAIM IS CLOSED*

No I really don’t know how a lot of you all keep receipts out of furniture which you purchased a couple of decades back, or the way the classic furniture you purchased or purchased, etc..

Then to request evidence of replacement or mended….You should cover damages so that I could have it repaired or replaced. Even purchased additional insurance!

Do not be a fool and use that business!!!!

    Worse Than Poor

Don’t trust this corporation. We had been impressed with Zippy Shell’s theory and also the positive reviews we watched. How very wrong we were. We had been assured that after we awakened all of our items, Zippy Shell would take roughly 5 hours to load it. They came late on Tuesday morning and two and a half hours after the team that they hired walked off the project. The loading eventually ended up at 6PM THURSDAY when we place our lock onto the next cage.
That experience was only a tiny annoyance in comparison to what followed. As agreed, our products were sent to our new house in Florida on June 16th. The lock I said? Gone. The locks on both of the other cages? Gone. AND ALL 3 cages were gone also. Some idiot in Boston chose to breach the contract we had with Zippy Shell and cut off the locks of our Valve and literally THROW our possessions into a rental truck free of protection. When the truck came here in Florida and the woman driver opened the back door, matters literally FELL OUT INTO THE STREET! Quotes to repair or replace the damaged items and also to replace the lost items are around $10,000.

    Don't do it!

The folks are extremely friendly however, the support you purchase isn’t at all what you’re getting. On the site they obviously have pics of transferring pods. What you receive are cages like they’d use on the Jurassic World set within a trailer. They inform you”so long as it matches in the”pod” we could send it” They practically can. Our materials caused it to Florida after which we were informed we needed to find a trailer and proceed partly unload it so it can be sent. To put it differently, it obtained from California to Jacksonville, FL however, they could not access it to Gainesville out there? We had been told our things would be sent on August 10th. My spouse was supposed to begin work to the 13th and his instruments were at the”pod”. It came at our home around August 22nd (we moved to the 21st to partially float ). In addition to everything else, somebody in the warehouse had been hoping to be more shifty and advised the customer service which I asked 2 delivery ceases and that I had to be billed another $150. Everything boils down to the… After renting a trailer and driving around 200 miles complete to unload it partly, 9 day of lost earnings and 12 unplanned day of never having our belongings and having to consume, you’re better off spending slightly more for a different firm to transfer your belongings. I’ve utilized Pods along with U-Pack moving containers previously and didn’t have the strain that I had with this particular move.

As somebody who has worked to the executive degree of Sales and Marketing for over 22 decades. I knows that anybody seeking to force you to hurry up and signal, normally (99.9percent of the period ) have something to conceal. This was true for this organization. The internet testimonials are horrible-REALLY BAD. I wonder the few very good reviews as being performed by Zippy, its own workers, etc.. After reviewing the internet testimonials for Zippy…. I only leased a U-Haul and drove in MA to TX with my own stuff. Not too big of a deal.

Furthermore, I was first quoted $2,900.00 and then told them that I’ve got an estimate of $2,000 from a different business. Zippy quickly lessen my quotation on $2,200. The woman helping me to the telephone didn’t enjoy it when I informed her that attempting to force me into registering would not operate. She wrapped up on me.

WORST COMPANY EVER- WILL PROBABLY BITE THE DUST SOON W/ THESE 1 STARS

I rented one of them way bigger than promoted containers. Includes internal cage where your material goes, which considerably reduces useable square foot. They delivered. We all loaded. Was to be kept at Sacramento warehouse ~4 mos. Approximately 6 wks after, a RUDE youthful man phoned and stated Sacramento firm was shutting and my material will be transferred to SF region. I said NO, bc it wasn’t packaged to be transferred 180 miles round trip. His answer was that I did not have an option unless I wished to carry my things back THAT VERY AFTERNOON. I TOLD HIM I DIDNT HAVE A PLACE TO TAKE IT W/ this brief note! They transferred it. Three weeks after, I took from storage. They drove it all of the way back; ~90 milesper hour My lovely furniture includes SO MANY SCRATCHES AND GOUGES. They weren’t attentive. I registered a claim. They promised me it’d be compensated. IT WAS REJECTED. Their motive: OOPS, WE FILED WITH THE WRONG INS CO!!! I never got a cent for all of the damage. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND DON’T Offer A ROYAL RAT ABOUT THEIR SO-CALLED CUSTOMER! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

This firm does not have a nice score in any way. Not even mentioned on TOP 5 Lists for container businesses.

Franchisee at Sacramento closed for company under a month when they chose my container to storage so they TOTALLY KNEW that they weren’t producing it and still contacted by others and me. DECEPTIVE.

There’s still not a brand new franchisee at Sacramento bc they cannot market their shady idea to a different small business owner.

    Inferior firm…

    STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Went with Zippy Shell for 2 chief reasons. To begin with, my boyfriend is recovering from a surgery because of a broken clavicle. When I’d asked about movers, they confidently insisted that we would not have to lift a finger, and so I believed it had been worth paying them to their own services. Secondly, they suggested over the telephone which our items would be sent to us on September 1st provided that we scheduled a pickup before or on August 24th, that is exactly what we did.

When they came and loaded up everything around the 23rd, it moved somewhat slowly but quite well, except at a stage they were planning to charge us extra to get a”piano”. After we explained it was not a piano it was nice (this was speaking to an cheap and little electric keyboard that an 11-year-old woman can lift one-handed). No big deal!

We waited to obtain confirmation that our shell had arrived in the warehouse at the new town, and also the second I received that telling I called them to validate the move-in time and date.
Much to my chagrin I found that Zippy Shell would not move us in that day since they do not work labour day weekend, which the sales man had conveniently failed to mention.

So I asked them to come the days following labour day. After waiting 3 days for a call from them confirming a scheduled appointment, the first date that they can give us was just two weeks later move-in on September 13th. (Yes, despite the fact that they had known for nearly two weeks what date we desired to proceed, and even though they TOLD us they’d scheduled an appointment for this date.)

Since there were certain things (meds, clothes, cooking utensils, outfits to get a marriage ) that we had ahead of the 13th, we inquired if there was a method to work around the situation. They advised us they can either”let’s” access our personal things in the warehouse place, or drop our stuff off to us on the 9th but minus movers.

Since we did not wish to cover our own group of movers later paying from our $#%#$ for Zippy Shell, we chose to visit the warehouse and find out the things we would want, and allow them to provide the non-essentials on September 13th as intended. I asked the representative on the telephone if there could be help raising items from the shell in the warehouse (because if not I had to plan to bring a buddy or inspector ), and she explained DEFINITELY. Along with also the”good news” is that I did not have to pay a charge for the additional assistance, and did not have to pay a commission to get my items because the warehouse was theirs and not a 3rd party. Great.

So I attempted to set an appointment to get the warehouse, which entailed calling, telling her if you wish to stop by, with her”put in a petition” with the warehouse, then wait for two business weeks for her return to me to tell me that the time and day I picked would not do the job, and repeat the procedure (to her credit, it required more like two hours compared to two days, which I thanked her for). I advised her that the first time or day that worked for these will be OK to us, but apparently the system demands you to decide on a particular date and then have them reject or accept it.

That is when she said they had not really charged me to the movers in the destination. So as to be clear, the fee I was quoted when I first contracted them did NOT contain movers for unloading, only for loading.

We got to the warehouse and then they attracted out our shell to the parking lot (at noon through the 103 degree heat) and subsequently disappeared. When it was apparent that we’d been abandoned to our own devices I understood that the cage was secured with a padlock and we weren’t given the mix, but (thankfully?) The very first code I figured was 0000 and I opened up it.

I then, a 5’two girl had to personally move items in and outside of this shell in this weather with the guidance of my right-handed boyfriend abandoned had (remember, he simply had clavicle operation and can not lift over a coffee mug with his correct ) since I naively thought the girl on the telephone when she said they would help us with lifting in the warehouse.

As soon as I completed we tried to locate a person to let them know we were finished and they can choose the shell back indoors, but there WAS NO ONE available, probably since they were on lunch break (?) . We predicted and wandered about for like 5 minutes but did not experience a soul. We waited for about 20 more minutes for somebody to appear since we did not need to leave our items unattended in the warmth, but then I literally began seeing stars because of heat exposure, thus we had to go get water until I fainted.

However, the push I tried phoning the corporate headquarters to ask that they call the people at the warehouse and have them place away our shell again. However, I COULDN’T CALL BECAUSE THEY BLOCKED ME.

I called 3 different telephone numbers and they were all”disconnected” although I had been in contact the afternoon before to program the warehouse accessibility. TURNS OUT THEY BLOCKED ME. I vow to God I had been nothing but respectful about the telephone, just because I had been terrified that they would do some thing to my items out of spite. However, I figure if a client calls too frequently to determine what’s happening with her items, it’s sufficient reason to BLOCK her calls.

To be quite clear, I know for true that I blocked me because when my boyfriend called from his telephone 10 seconds after I hung up, the amounts weren’t”disconnected”. (Additionally, I’ve attempted to call the very same numbers back from my telephone and I still get the”we’re sorry, this amount was disconnected” automatic message, however he does not.)

Then BF requested that they call the warehouse to place back our shell inside and he said he would”get right on this” and might affirm with us that this occurred. Come to think about it, we still haven’t gotten confirmation so we are just basically hoping that our items have been put away and did not get destroyed in sunlight or stolen.

Tomorrow the movers are expected to come together with our staying entities sooner or later in the early hours, so I shall update this review according to the way that goes. But in the meantime, here are the takeaways:

1- The people who loaded up the casing were slow, but that is completely fine since they were careful and safe.
2- You can’t assume that whatever they say about the telephone is correct, such as the quotations, appointment dates, details about providers, etc.
3- For any reason that they do not program move-ins till you call them following the casing arrives.
4- The scheduling process is absurd. They can not tell when they’re accessible, so can they just”return to you”, occasionally after 24-72 hours, even using a”yes” or”no” once you pick a particular date and time. Your move-in can’t and won’t be scheduled before your shell arrives, even in case you would like to program on a date that’s nicely AFTER the”bonded window” of birth. Nevertheless, this will not necessarily prevent them from telling you they have scheduled a move-in appointment whenever they have not, particularly when they’re attempting to generate a sale.
5- Warehouse safety is extremely questionable.
6- THEY WILL BLOCK CALLS from paying clients.
7- Hidden charges can apply if you’re unfortunate enough to have to receive your items at a warehouse that they do not own, or should they decide that they did not charge you enough to start with.
8- On the other hand, the people on the telephone are always very considerate. They aren’t so beneficial and can be quite unethical, but let it never be said that they don’t have great manners!

    Never ever use zippyshell!!

These individuals quoted me at 2100, to get a transfer from Ohio to Georgia, which appeared nice. They informed me it would arrive in 10 days. 15 days go by and still have not heard from them, I called to find out what was happening and throughout the telephone call she raised the cost after verifying my speech by 150$??? When it finally does appear at the storage location that they invoice me personally and then return the cash and tell me that they do not know whether it is in Florida or Georgia??? They can not process a charge for some reason and charge me a storage charge of 150$ now they somehow also charge me 500$ and are currently mentioning the contract I signed up claims 2400$ even though I’ve got the contract directly in front of me. In addition they sent two men although I picked self loading, and charged me for them being there. Today 900$ more than what I had been quoted they still haven’t delivered my things… if you call they will assert, call you a liar and then lie directly to you, Never use this firm.

Seems okay until Its not! They changed my lock!

I can not believe I even have to write this. The business appeared trusted and straight ahead. I had to utilize their storage solutions for a month or two. They lent me decently and zippy shell came punctually. It had some arbitrary things still inside, such as a movers sheet/cover, however we simply packed our things anyhow. We utilized a hook lock, put away our key and did not touch it. About 4 weeks after, we request them to deliver back our shell, and then low and behold into our surprise that there was now a disk lock our our storage!!! Obviously our key did not match!!!!! We advised them that there was a brand new lock on the storage and they chased up and down they did not do anything for it! We needed to cover to cut off it!! Absurd! We eliminated our possessions and left the crap that has been there when we first moved our things in. They picked it up that Monday and shot out the crap, such as the the old movers sheet and then left it in our front door. These people are foolish. Don’t use them again.

Terrible for our State to State Move

Don’t use this company for anything aside from a cheap, local, fundamental movement. They neglected us at every turn to our state-to-state move. Frankly, if we can give them zero stars, we would, without doubt.

We had been guaranteed a three day proceed from point A to point B, that they took seven times complete. We’ve got a little child and had to purchase a lot of duplicate items once at our new house, because they had been so late.

They had been M.I.A., communication-wise. Throughout the four days they had been overdue, their offices had been either closed or they simply said they did not understand where our stuff had been yet. Useless.

They broke and ruined MANY of our things (our brand-new t.v., by way of instance ). We’re currently attempting to receive our broken things replaced and only learned that they refused our claim. We’ll continue to combat it.

Unless you’ve got cheap things which you don’t really care about, and you are moving really locally and are not on a time deadline, then DO NOT USE Zippy Shell.

And today we have the hassle of having to stand up for ourselves, substituting this together with the BBB, etc.. |—–|-

I have been calling for 2 weeks attempting to make them send my 2 Zippyshells for my new home but they will not phone me back and that there appears to be just one PERSON to manage. That is crazy. Customer support can not assist me. All they could do is move me into the identical man again and again. His voice email is nearly always full and, even when I will leave a message, so he still does not call me back. And they even had the guts to bill me for following month’s storage charges already!

Employed this’support’ to move out of Los Angeles into Charleston, SC. To begin with, their biggest container can’t even maintain the contents of a 1 bedroom 600 sq feet flat, so I needed to find another container that dropped the cost of this transfer. I’m paying for the storage of two containers and can’t make them commit to a delivery date. Customer Care doesn’t respond. The’Manager’ recites the headline I will get an email confirming this date. The simple fact I have sent 3 mails and there’s not been any answer to ANY of these, does not cause me to think I could ever hear from these. In addition to this, they now say that each their’coverage’ that isn’t said any place in the files, they don’t pro-rate storage, therefore I’ve paid for a complete month of storage once I just had 9 days. Unless of course, they are still maintain my products hostage. I inquired if I would get the address of the positioning of my merchandise, and naturally, the solution would be NO. Makes me wonder whether they’ve sold off my matters… What sort of refuge is there?

    Do NOT use Zippy Shell

Just examine the consistency of those terrible reviews. I need I read them until I reserved zippy shell. They STILL will not inform me if my container will soon arrive. I get the identical runaround that a supervisor will call me back. The only real way I will learn if my container happens is IF I cover in full. How easy to them.
Customer support is useless. They don’t help, it seems like they simply read over a list of accepted replies they could utilize. Managers are not on site if you want them and naturally thats that you want to manage to find a genuine answer.
Price wise: I’d have paid twice elsewhere only to be treated honest and informed the honest facts. I keep receiving the exact same BS from several staff.

    Don't ship with this company

I simply had a superb encounter with U-Pack shifting this season and it reminded me how awful my ceremony was when I transferred with Zippy this past year. I owe it to other people to write a fair review about the corporation. Each thing the firm asserted, they reneged on (i.e. the window of coming time, reimbursement for lateness, what was provided/needed). It was a nightmare for our loved ones cross-country movement. Our items arrived a complete month later we came. The business blamed the movers that they worked together and took no obligation. The local firm they hired to move our items in did not wish to go all of the way upstairs (even though we specially asking this in our arrangement and paying for this ). 1 man even stop half way through. Zippy Shell didn’t follow up despite guarantees of reimbursement along with a negative encounter review to his or her business. Please do not use this business if you don’t have time and money to waste. On a bright note, the secure was always very valuable. . .though completely useless.

When I reserved my transfer I had been advised to take out insurance for breakage. This appeared to be a fantastic concept, but the de po locy does not cover loading and unloading. I had a classic stain glass which was broken above fix, a classic radio which may be mended, and a classic table thatsn’t repairable. The packers pushed to receive my things to the box, so I think this is precisely why some of my things broke. ZIPPY TAKES NO RESPONSIBLITY. I might have even made a bigger stink but didnt need to makw to large of a stink. . .SO CONSUMER be AWARE. I HAD MOLD GROWING ON MY DISHWARE AND MICE DROPPINGS ON MY BLANKETS AND TOWELS…

    Move went well

After reading countless reviews about zippy casing, I nearly backed out. I had been concerned about breakage, poor logistics, concealed charges etc.. I started in NYC and moved on Tempe AZ.. The transfer went well, I received my things about the 12th business day (they estimate 8-12 business days). I also read about things breaking etc.. I didn’t actually experience this, 1 thing in a bin deciphered (a lamp) and a couple of tiny scratches appeared in my glass desk, but my glass was not completely wrapped, so I could have done more in my end. The movers at NY packed my transfer really closely (in a fantastic way) in order that no things would change around. As soon as I unlocked my casing, everything seemed as it had been in NY which amazed me. The gentleman who delivered my things at Phoenix (Daniel I think ) even helped me along with my mover that was much valued. The 1 difficulty I had was piling up a delivery for my precise home, but it was a holiday weekend, and each the arrangement, they utilized the word business days, so to be honest, it was not actually that bad, only a little annoying with the numerous calls I needed to make. I would recommend this business, and if you had breakage difficulties, I bought plenty of moving pads/blankets along with the movers I’d help with loading utilized them satisfactorily so that actually helped this not be a problem. It had been packaged tight and properly so stuff actually could not move anyplace. I’ll say I had a two bedroom apartment and that I sold my sofa prior, when I had not, there’s absolutely no way it would have fit, so the casing is most likely a little 2 bedroom or one bedroom also, not a 2-3 bedroom as promoted. I didn’t undergo Zippy Shell for its unload, only hired a single person to assist me and it had been done it two hours. Thanks again, and since I said I’d use this company again, they had been at least 1500 more economical then my second greatest quote given exactly what they did

    Great service!

We moved from NJ to CA, and Zippy Shell could not have made it simpler. The movers that they hired to fill and load on the two ends were all very professional and productive! The price was WAY better than pods along with the customer support was also outstanding. They did need to move our relocation day because of a scheduling problem, and for many which have been a issue, but it was a godsend for us since we completely wanted the excess day to complete packing. I wouldn’t advise anybody to use this firm. They were quite late loading. I grabbed one of those movers in my jewelry torso and a few of my golden bracelets is now gone. The movers didn’t pack the furniture first and also our bed didn’t get packaged since they ran out of space. They state a container retains at least two chambers and we weren’t carrying even that. When we predicted zippy, we had been advised we’d need to cover a different container to hold approximately ten boxes, our mattress, and 3 bookcases. They advised me to email them around my jewellery chest which was it. Since we could not afford a different container, we needed to work out something using another firm. Worst company ever

If you enjoy a business that’s full of lies, failed shipping, charges your credit card with no approval, cherished items they package appear damaged along with the inability to address a supervisor despite asks for weeks than zippy casing is the own company. Client support is rude, highly educated and not able to fix an issue. Your possessions can go missing if or when they choose to eventually deliver them. They don’t respond to clients. You’ll be left disappointed and not able to talk to anybody as they’re never accessible or they are finished with you.

    Very Unorganized Company

I had been expecting to have the ability to write a fantastic review for this corporation. Their costs were tens of thousands of dollars less than many others and we were quite optimistic that they would be adequate for what we wanted for our cross country move. In the start they have been useful, communicated well and even delivered the empty containers in time for us to load. Happily we had been cautioned by somebody a week until the containers were sent to reevaluate just how much storage we’d actually require. Their online calculator isn’t true at all and even with us overestimating with two containers, we could of used three. So bear in mind that you might be stuck with having to purchase another container last minute at three times the cost of the initial one. Happily we could lease a Penske Truck and load it using the overflow and additional living things to transport us over for only”if”. We proceed to 3 weeks after, both containers are in storage for all those 3 months. After we’d settled on a final date we advised Zippy by two telephone calls in 30 minutes apart in the start of November hoping that this would give them a lot of time to send our containers from Utah to Maine at the middle of December. Two weeks after we called to find out if they had been in transit simply to learn they had no listing of their telephone calls or the petition to get them shipped. Another petition was created using a guarantee of a followup email (that was not obtained with every request). Fourteen days after (yesterday) a different telephone call to Zippy to figure out if they’re on their way and now we are advised that they received our petition but that they haven’t initiated a shipping. They do not connect one to a supervisor, rather they pass across the information and inform you that a supervisor will be connected by the next day. We did listen now by email from an Escalation Manager Lead who advised us that they haven’t participated a delivery and that they would be working with it. They could not tell us why it has not been sent.
It is so crazy to me that in 1 month from the first request for delivery of those containers that nothing has ever occurred. Nothing. Together with the shortage of information of if our containers will be sent or arrive and how long its taken them this way to convey , we might possibly be in our brand new house for 1 month ahead of our containers arrive.
This provider is a lot more affordable than many others and we knew beforehand that this may cause some issues. For those considering using them be mindful that more economical means ill-managed, important communication problems (not able to talk to somebody who may provide you responses ), bad training of workers (can not ease a petition of getting your containers sent, which is kind of significant!) , so that their Escalation Management Team is overwhelmed by issues that their employees have generated. Some individuals have given excellent reviews, which on hindsight makes me wonder if they’re real testimonials, but sadly many like us have had a lousy experience and gotten trapped in their net of mismanagement. We’re trusting that their intent isn’t to maintain our possessions hostage so that they can keep charging our storage charges.

    Worst move I've ever had

I do not even know where to begin.
I’ve had a dreadful time with those movers and that I really don’t want this to occur to anybody else so I am hoping you can really make a difference. I moved out of Danville PA at which I had been a chaplain in the hospital there to Union City here to function as Interim Minister in our Fremont church. I contracted with Zippy Shell to move me round the nation. The salesman left lots of guarantees that ended up not coming through. He contracted on casing with me, that resembles a glider, but considerably smaller, and if they came on July 30th it was quite clear that 1/2 of my items will match. So immediately we needed to call the company to contract another shell that they said would arrive the following day on July 31st. Additionally this cost me an extra 3400.00. I contacted my church because this was within the budget of moving costs and they agreed to assist me, but I would need to pay the overage back to them. The next shell didn’t arrive before Aug 1st and they filled it entirely. The scheduled date to arrive here was to be Aug 13th the salesman informed me. With the accession of this next shell, they kept that the first and did not send it and then told me that the arrival date was to be Aug 20th. This became complex as I came in Sacramento for a week after which Fremont on Aug 10th and remained with a congregant before Aug 24th. Then I had to remain in my empty flat before the coming of my items which did not really happen until Sept 8th. With this I needed to constantly call the business to even have them send by then. I lived in a vacant flat sleeping on a room for two weeks with borrowed items like a pan and pot and towels, etc. before my items came. I’d just two suitcases I had been living from. Obviously, it was really uncomfortable in my age, which afterward was 63, and that I listed on the attached excel spreadsheet all of the calls and their answers out of all of this. After all this, they all did was apologize and say that they might give me $500.00, which wouldn’t even cover the inconvenience as well as the damages that I experienced. I filed a damage claim that I also have images of, for over 1500.00 plus they refused it, stating they just paid for devastating damages. This was incredible since they destroyed a couple of bits of my furniture and I had a quote from a furniture fix to compare it to.

They also charged me $318.00 for storage in Washington DC as soon as the salesman had said there weren’t any storage charges. They’d automatically take their fees since they had the church charge card. They took these fees without consent and never contacted us anyhow to send me an email revealing the fee. The salesman promised a lot and sent none of it.

I’m a minister, therefore I do not make that much to start with. I really don’t have a business that is going to cover costs, I’ve a little congregation who can only manage a lot. I can not imagine what a family goes through having to live out of suitcases for more than a month. I truly believe I deserve reparation for all of the problems I experienced together. They’d tell me that a manager would call me back, and this did not occur, I phoned them innumerable times and eventually found they’d misplaced my items someplace in Chicago per month later pickup and refused to tell me this until I eventually had an employee tell me. Their customer support was dreadful, their policies serve themselves rather than the client and there should be consequences to their actions.

That is all I could find on them:

    Horrifying Experience

This dreadful experience started the afternoon before our movement on August 8, 2018. Zippy Shell phased out packers last minute, to save themselves a couple bucks. After the packers did come, they arrived unequipped to package, so delivered us to go purchase packing supplies, remembering that this is a 3,000sq foot home. On the next day of packaging among those packers informs about a fellow packer whom was loading up his car for two days with our possessions and carrying it home, all of the while placing empty boxes onto the moving truck! All of this came out as a watch of my dad’s was missing and that they got paranoid. It becomes worse. The reason they had been paranoid was since they had been shooting HEROINE upward in OUR toilet! We needed to phone the police and file a police report. It still gets worse. We eventually get the possessions to the destination and EVERYTHING is brokenup, literally. Nothing packaged or wrapped. From family photos (not only frames broke I am speaking holes at the real images, bed frames missing, box springs and mattress ripped with enormous holes, foot and headboard planks ruined, any and all glass shelving smashed for curio cabinets, leather sofas ruined and again maybe not wrapped. Chips from tvs. Antique chairs thrown in addition to the truck just like it was a throw cushion. Grandfather clock placing on its side. The list persists. A great deal of things”missing.” We’ve got receipts for all. Zippy shell hired among the nimble adjusters (Mike Edmunds in ClaimCo) and he is a gem exactly enjoy the rest of the business. The claim we registered, With images and also RECEIPTS for everything had been totaled around $34,000. They provided us $6,000. We dropped and they had the guts to say”how about $500 more and also we finish this.” How disgusting to even offer that sum and then to state something like this? It is Christmas Eve and we still have no conclusion so I am doing exactly what I said I’d do the day this all occurred.

    Major let down

We hired Zippy Shell to maneuver our house into storage while our new home was being constructed. We paid in advance for the loading and placing our stuff to storage for 3 weeks and for shipping to brand new home and unloading. The first movement was flawless and pressure free. Only called for its delivery and was told that they no longer provide unloading help. It seems that a contract doesn’t have any significance with them. So I arrive at Texas and saved in one of those warehouses for 5 weeks and requested to get it delivered. Shipping was likely to be contained in price I’d paid. More than 2700 and 160 per month for storage. Well today they need to bill me an extra 390.00 for shipping and they’d wait at home for us to unload. They gave me 3 hours to float??!!! In their site it asserts that u may have a couple days to load up and unload. That is misleading because the fact is u only have a few hours.
Customer support is the worst. I’ve got five distinct amounts to contact and none of them are helpful. They’re rude and give false details. Can’t fix or repair any issues that come up. There were lots of.
Beware. They desired a zip code to place was going to. I didn’t have an address yet and gave them a speech in Houston where my daughter lived since I did not have a certain place yet to reside. Now I eventually get a home that’s 30 miles out of the zip code that I gave they’re charging me extra for shipping. It was assumed to be contained. I have called a lot of times to get this depended on to no avail. They have your possessions, either buy or you do not get your own stuff.
These folks are rip offs. They do not follow through in anything they first promised me.
Beware of the organization. Should you r going cross country. Don’t use. Local moving could be fine.
Call another corporation. It is not worth the annoyance.

    Holding my Belongings Hostage

Called Zippy Shell on January 3, 2019 to own my possessions, which were being stored within their Raleigh, NC warehouse, transferred across country to my new house in Spokane Valley, WA. When nobody emailed or called to let me understand that my casing was sent, I called the Customer Service line on January 17th to verify dispatch. The Customer Service rep I talked with told me that my possessions would be coming in their Kent, WA warehouse at the”next few of days or so.” When I had not heard anything concerning shipping by January 24th, I phoned Customer Support again. The rep I talked to this time said that he did not have some notes regarding my delivery or shipment, but that he would place a”notice in my accounts” requesting the Logistics group for affirmation. I called each business day to get a week inquiring,”Where are my possessions and when can I expect delivery? Not one of the Client Service reps I talked to had some answers for me and you also asks for more info were being blown off. I asked repeatedly to have this scenario escalated merely to be informed that the CR repetitions were”not permitted to escalate a customer criticism for their superiors before the firm was in violation of contract.” Therefore, after doing the math, the CR rep I talked to decided that it had really been more compared to 10-14 business days that they claim to send inside, so that he might escalate the problem. On February 1st, I receive an email in the”Escalation Lead” saying that my”cargo” had shipped and would arrive in the destination warehouse from Feb. 6th. I was flabbergasted. They’d ignored my dispatch petition on January 3rd, and despite my calls asking information, weren’t spurred to act until they recognized they had been in violation of contract. Even the”Escalation Lead” didn’t apologize for my annoyance nor didn’t take some responsibility for the tardiness of my dispatch. Additionally, I discovered that the”destination bundle” has been 5 hours away from my house. Having said that, when the container touched this warehouse, Zippy Shell billed my credit card for the 2nd half of this transfer. (They state they will do it within their contract, however, the contract never says WHERE that the”destination” warehouse is situated. It merely lists my speech 5 hours off. As Feb. 6th, the business has cancelled two delivery appointments and also have given no indication of when they’ll be delivering my dispatch. They keep blaming the weather, however that can be winter in Washington, even if they’re unable to maneuver in hot, sunny weather that they should’ve never approved my own contract. Meanwhile, they’ve provided me $50 per day in settlement for”transit waits,” however they stopped counting the times when my shipment came in the destination warehouse. So, even though I have gone with my possessions for more than a week, not one of these days rely on my reimbursement. Since they’ve already been paid, they’re not encouraged to earn delivery. My possessions sit at a warehouse while I wait to listen if they will opt to send them. The Client Service reps aren’t permitted to fix problems and are awarded zero advice. The Escalation Lead is so rude and condescending and actually told me there was”nobody else that I could talk to about this issue.” Discuss breaking up the rule of customer services! I recommend you to opt for another moving business. I have had good experiences with PODS and Door to Door. Excellent luck!

    Never again

I had a storage container firm that came into the center of nowhere. I just had two options, and had already been burnt by my other option. Don’t trust these idiots along with your possessions. Nearly every bit of furniture I have it either broken or severely damaged. I would like to submit a claim but they refuse to send me the types, and now they have blocked my contact number. Beware that they induce a hefty”deductible” on you so that asserts are pointless anyhow.

The three hour load/unload window should’ve been sufficient for me to walk off, however I was desperate and wanted the storage aspect in my destination. I had been confident that the”assistance” they supplied (@$1000 PER 3 hour block PER container – that I had 3 cubes for two containers) are professional. One from those 3 guys had an idea how to package. Others refused to correctly make use of the furniture blankets that I had supplied. Hence all exposed surfaces are all deeply scratched. Plus, he had been using tape to hold the shifting blankets set up. Thankfully I’ve managed to take out the tape without needing any extra damage – thus far…. My dining room table has been also somehow profoundly gauged throughout the shifting blanket.

So far of all of the boxes I personally packed have came with contents that were undamaged. I’m still bloated, and have yet to get to the”issue” ones (see below).

Storage and scheduling delivery went smoothly, no complaints there. They did mess up the time of the bill, so that the bigger half of my invoice (because of the excess packaging block) could not benefit from a credit card advertising which I had.

The dropoff was contracted out to an actual moving business. The guys looked at me as though I was mad when I met them without dread in my mind. I was also surprised that the container has been just shrink-wrapped round the borders and also NOT on the top and underside. I had been under the belief that it was to be fully wrapped to protect the contents from dirt and debris. It isn’t. My possessions aren’t just damaged, but dirty – even worse dirt-wise than any other moving company I’ve ever used. Moreover, upon launching the very first container everybody was shocked to find out what seemed like a bomb had gone off inside. Furniture and boxes have been shattered with their materials strewn randomly. I thankfully had sufficient garbage bags available to have my whole cabinet of yarn stash picked up off the ground and repacked. I only uncovered the physical cupboard to find out if I could fix it, and the grips have been cracked in the center! The movers slung all of my IRREPLACEABLE work newspapers back in their smashed boxes. I hope I have not lost too much throughout the OPEN underside of this cage… Also from the”explosion” was my guest sheets batter – that is mangled so entirely I have not even been able to unwrap it nonetheless. My master bedroom dressers we are jostled so much that the backer claws were pulled out along with a number of drawers have been bounced off their paths (probably causing the fracture in 1 side panel). I still haven’t worked up the guts to turn on the electronic equipment which were”explosion-adjacent”. I guess that they lost that container.

No burst in the next container, however, it was not complete either. I needed to leave before the next loading session. After the movers left my neighbors sent me images of what had been left behind. Because I could not replace all of my kitty furniture for my handicapped cat or especially futon, I paid an individual an extra $1000 to deliver my”leftovers.” Why?

In addition, when you call the 1-800 customer service number, neither you nor the agent on the opposite end gets the capacity to get in touch with the regional movers right. Whether this communication was possible, many issues could be solved. No one gains from this policy!

Additionally, you don’t have any choice to offer negative comments to Zippy Shell directly.

Finally, I also discovered that Zippy Shell is merging with 1-800-packrat. Statistics, as this was the firm that I had been preventing over my poor encounter moving out to the middle of nowhere…

Terrible business from the start they lied to people on how much material could fit into container they then advised us seven business days to go from PA to AZ for another month that I kept calling to discover where my stuff had been and all they told me it is in transit before they informed me it really never abandoned PA! 1 day later more after a month, they showed up without scheduling they then billed us for storage because in their own system rather than revealed delivered! When we called to get a refund to the delay that they said certain our supervisor will call you straight back…. Never occurred regardless of how often I called. Just the worst self-move company

Don’t boat with Zippy Shell. No standing reports, delayed transport, ineffectual customer assistance, and shoddy reparation.

We scheduled to send a shell throughout the nation for May 18. A half weeks after, we hadn’t got any update regarding the shell’s status. When we called, they told us that the shell hadn’t even left the source city. The shell came over a week late. When we attempted to schedule a delivery date, then they supplied us a date 11 days later than asked. That means that they were likely to maintain our possessions for a month and a half, rather than 2 weeks.

Their customer support is also dreadful. To begin with, they don’t react to the email address they supply in their mails. Secondly, the fine people on the telephone don’t have any freedom, and they don’t have any capability to assist you with your issues. You can’t get through to some supervisor. Third, they show no interest in virtually any complaints. I’m blown out a business in this way can function in any way!

PLEASE! WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

The worst storage and moving business that you could possibly understand. To begin with, when I initially transferred the truck was 3 hours late coming into my property. I had hired out movers and they had been there waiting for your vehicle to get here and were about the clock. Second when they eventually got to my house they had been under the impression I was using them to load and transfer my things and since I wasnt they maintained that the truck they attracted was only for moving and loading when THEY were doing it. I tell them I was loading and just moving a couple items and that everything else could be placed in their storage device. After another two hours of moving back and forth together and everybody wanting to get in touch with a supervisor (it was a Saturday and also the local business was closed along with the corporate office couldn’t assist with their regional partners) the movers eventually chose to remain (yes, they really told me that they were leaving). Then once my movers began attempting to load things on the truck that the loading piece to the truck didn’t function smh. My movers were transferring big heavy furniture along with the loading elevator wouldn’t come out. So you could imagine how hard and how long has been spent attempting to load my items on the truck and from it. Third, when I initially reserved the storage device with Zippy casing I had been advised that the container could hold two chambers. This is a lie. It held you and half rooms of furniture and no more boxes. All that may fit was a portion of my living room furniture along with my mattress and dresser. We needed to squeeze boxes onto there AFTER I took my mattress and dresser from the truck in the last destination. Then I managed to include my own boxes. Additionally, once we got into the last destination to unload my mattress and dresser it took additional time since the loading elevator wasn’t working. Rather than them only having to roll off everything they literally had to hook lifting rope up to get off it. Because you can envision that required a lot more time and that I needed to come from the pocket more money. Now I’m in the process of going and attempting to receive my items from storage together and they’re giving me the run around. You need to jump through hoops to find someone on the telephone and also to schedule a day to simply unpack the container. If youre planning on unloading your apparatus or using them drop it off in your new location be certain that you call two weeks beforehand or you wont get your day which you require and they dont do anything to assist. Additionally, apparently they merged with another organization and moved my items from the original storage container to a different one. Never not once did they call or email me to notify me of the movement. I just discovered when I called trying to program my move. I won’t ever use this company to store or move anything ever again and I recommend anyone searching for a business to move and store your items to look elsewhere since Zippy Shell is undoubtedly the worst company to ever do business with. NEVER AGAIN!

I must confess, after reading a lot of negative reviews about this business company, I had been quite concerned about using them. They’re literally the sole Pod kind of business that would support my distant mountain city in Ca so I’d no option but to roll the dice. Turns out that I am happy I did. Both delivery and pickup have been performed in time and economically. The movers were friendly and professional and we paid for 3 hours of unloading and loading and they got the work done on each side of the excursion. We did have a couple of awkward and heavy things also. I suppose it all depends on where your own being serviced since they use 3rd party firms for the actual moving and storage. No complaints here and they were honestly the least stressful part of our cross country move.

    Zippy Shell move was disappointing

I discovered Zippy Shell online after searching for alternatives with a transfer, at which (1) my move-in date wasn’t firmly set once I scheduled the transfer ; (2) I just had a 2-BR place to proceed for myself, therefore restricted”things” and (3) I needed to handle price. Zippy Shell initially looked like a fantastic selection. Generally, the customer support folks were friendly and easy to manage on the telephone, and you did have to speak to a person. They can schedule the pickup when I needed, and also the trailer and loaders came as promised. On the other hand, the planner didn’t gauge the loading size right, so they couldn’t fit all of my boxes and furnishings to the trailer. This was after I’d spent over one hour on the telephone with the planner – lesson learned: Always have someone come out to quote! So I needed to then let another van to complete my transfer. Second difficulty, was that the loaders strove so tough to match everything, they ruined some of my things, such as harm to a leather couch that I especially said for great defense. The damages were not dreadful, but it was all preventable when the loaders had taken more attention. Third problem was that because I’ve filed my claim on the harms, they’ve never acknowledged the promise or reacted to it whatsoever. And that was after buying their security as part of this bundle. I was frustrated with the time it took to find the trailer for their storage place, and then get it here – multiple days every moment. I’d move between nations, but a simple single day drive. The team in the destination which unloaded did do an excellent job, and they pointed out all of the damages which were done, obviously because of the loading and loading/transportation. Last, I travelled with Zippy Shell to save a bit of cost associated with a committed move support. But by the time that I let the extra van to get exactly what they could not match, and replace/fix the harms, I might have gone with all the committed support. Zippy Shell may work for a few, but I was left disappointed. An nobody from Zippy Shell also followed up after the movement. Next move I shall go another path.

Assessing the worst expertise and client services. They operate a strategy where third party movers come outside and charge you extra fees which are never revealed. The absolute worst business. They asserted that they could match both bedroom townhome into a big container. It did not fit and we’re completely exposed. We needed to part with matters bc they would not match and they attempted to charge $2500 to the further container that they initially said we did not require. Please don’t use this firm.

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! My spouse and I’m over 60. We booked using zippy shell due to the movers in the start and in the conclusion. As soon as I went to program the fall off. . OH SURPISE we do not have movers locally. You will need to locate your own. They then agreed to drop it off on Friday and pickup on Monday. I asked them exactly what time so that I could envision the movers. They said they do not understand they’ll phone me an hour prior to drop off. They SUGGESTED I catch somebody over this weekend. Now I am supposed to cover weekend assistance to unload my possessions. I asked to talk to the manager. I had been told”She is not likely to tell you whatever that I did not tell you!” I asked back to talk to the manager and was eventually connected. She said she didn’t have the amount for its warehouse (correct…) but she explained between pm and 8. . We will see I believe she just told me that to put me from the telephone…

Booked 6 months in advance, ZippyShell did not deliver.

    TL;DR: DO NOT HIRE!

We booked more than 6 weeks ahead of our transfer MI to CA, and ZippyShell delivered several automated emails coming the date our container has been scheduled to be sent to us (3 days prior to our excursion ), indicating that they knew that the appropriate date in their own system.

When the date arrives? No container. I called to inquire where it’s”It could still be arriving, there is no guarantee the time of day it arrives.” I had a missed phone that afternoon and asked whether it could have been out of them”Our motorists just call after, should you miss it, then you have to schedule a second day. We are not positive whether this telephone was our driver, wait a couple more hours to see whether it comes.”

A couple of hours later (closer to 5pm) I predict back wanting to talk with somebody before business hours finish, because it seems not to be coming daily. I hear”Sorry, because of an error in our method that your container wasn’t scheduled for local shipping now.” Why not the first man tell me this?!
    Me:”Alright, what do we do?”
ZippyShell (on a Saturday, 3 times prior to my trip ):”Since it is the weekend, so no managers are working and nobody is authorized to schedule a fresh shipping. You will want to call back Monday to program a new shipping .”
Are you serious?! Our flight is Tuesday day, we will need to expect ZippyShell can provide same-day on Monday, or somehow deliver Tues morning so we can rush load everything in ahead of our flight?!

I wonder how we got to this tragedy of a scenario and watch 100+ 1-star testimonials on this website concealed reduced on the search results page (Oops! Can we employ the worst business accessible? Yes we did: clients whine about containers being postponed over a month, maybe not leaving root points, insides of containers appearing like a bomb went away by coming time, etc.).

ZippyShell already dropped the ball on us failing to provide the date we’d booked 6 months beforehand. Monday we change into PODS and telephone to cancel ZippyShell. Guess what? ZippyShell attempts charging us charges for”same day cancellation” — incorrect. Same-day cancellation could have been two days before on Saturday, this is 2-day late cancellation once they dropped the ball. I requested ZippyShell to not just refund all our cash, but for extra compensation to pay more costs for transferring professionals we would now should employ to load a container in under 1-2 hours prior to our flight departs on Tuesday. Obviously ZippyShell was not interested in supplying any type of reimbursement.

In the long run, everything worked out nicely: PODS delivered 11am Tuesday and we completely loaded it ahead of our flight. PODS proceeded to provide the container in time, without a broken indoors (no evident bombs going off indoors as reported by additional ZippyShell clients ). It had been terrible hiring ZippyShell at the first place, but it felt just like we dodged a bullet once we cancelled and changed to a rival.

    Don't use

When I first called to set up my date to get zippyshell to return by they explained one cost and a completely different dimensions POD which they would bring. After the date arrived I obtained a little TRAILER that for what ever reason prices twice as far as what I had been told about the telephone. I phoned and informed the workplace following the man gave the trailer.

They explained the person I’d spoken with was from their sister business packrat. So I asked afterward why did not I buy something out of packrat if that’s who I talked with and awarded pricings for? The man went on to how as packrat wasn’t able to ensure it is that they (Zippyshell) picked up my petition. Without telling me whatsoever that this was performed or that there could be a shift in cost and transportation unit dimensions.

The trailer was to small for what we had and they needed to charge us 2000$ to cancelling the transfer together , I said I won’t be paying since they weren’t the company that I signed a deal with. I wound up acquiring a Uhaul rather for 682$ after completing a fee back and fraud assert during my bank.

The projected delivery date will be into the local warehouse. There were not any available appointments for ~~a MONTH~~ to really provide to my door. Despite owning a”guaranteed” delivery date into the store, you cannot schedule home delivery before it arrives in the warehouse.

I made many calls to their customer support, the majority of which finished badly. Some of the things which occurred on those calls: I had been wrapped up on, so I had been lied to (stated they’d place a note in my document; prospective repetitions couldn’t discover such a notice ), laughed at because of my own issues. Zippy Shell billed $75 for lift usage, but did not really bill me before end of financial year. It is beyond my deadline for receiving this reimbursed for transferring out of my occupation.

I have scammed. The container had been badly damaged in transit and also they did not bother to inform me. It moved to storage so that I did not find out before I eventually had it delivered. The contents proved to be an entire mess (my guess is that the rig overturned or the container had been dropped from the storage device ) and several things were ruined or destroyed. The delivery driver needed to crowbar the crate doors since they were horribly misaligned and would not budge. I filled with their claim type and noticed nothing. Thus far, I have mailed them a dozen mails for a couple of months and haven’t got one answer. Like many other have noticed, Zippy Shell is unethical in their dealings, they fool their clients, and charge ridiculous fees. We used them to maneuver our contents many states away believing the advantage would be well worth the price. Well, Zippy maintained they could not send our things on a Saturday with no additional $900 charge!! How they can not deliver items on a weekend would be beyond me, however I presumed my $5300 could have coated getting me my items. Since we did not cover the fee they stated they could not send our things until Wednesday, 8 days later we asked the products. Consequently, they say we must cover a $477 commission to pay storage because our 30 days is up by one day because we did not get our things on Saturday. Fundamentally, they will cost you any way they could, and they absolutely REFUSE to work together with you through telephone. Can there be a 0 score? What a dreadful experience. The regional loaders had no clue just how many containers I had which caused a delay of pickup and delivery. The damage was too extensive to be worried about.

They ought to have charged me for a month storage however they kept charging me $700 a month for five weeks following the delivery had occurred.

After arrival to pick up it the driver confessed they have a lot of containers which don’t close. Another surprise is that the’storage price’, and also the’fair’ sales man explained was comprised. I requested him fairly clearly if contained in the purchase price. The entire procedure of pickup took four phone calls and continuous misinformation. The shipping was roughly the same, because they guaranteed 8-noon, and then told me that is a quote once I predicted because they aren’t showing up. Which meant, I’d a moving team sitting around they really showed up! Zippy Shell Is the biggest Rip off Company

This has become the worst nightmare anybody could ever ask for. I had been told all of my belonging’s (4 bedroom House) could fit in 1 container. I even told that the sales rep that my possessions stuffed a 26 foot truck from front to the back and out of the ground to the roof. One they came the container was so small that it could not of even fitted half of my possessions. Subsequently the container was so damaged that it’d of been dangerous to even put anything in it. It took approximately 20 telephone’s and ten days afterwards to eventually talk to a supervisor. The supervisor only offered a bit more than half of what I’d previously paid back. When I’d asked to talk to somebody in corp. to assist me that has been above him, he stated that there wasn’t any one that was above him. Incorrect there’s always someone over a supervisor. I wouldn’t ever use them again or refer them to anybody. It’s bad once the driver also stated Zippy Shell is among the worst container firms he’d ever delivered for. Absolutely don’t use this organization. Zippy Shell assured us (and our contract stipulated) our possessions would be sent in 7-10 days, or even 6-8 business days. We’re now on day 18 with no possessions and don’t have any shipping date in sight. Zippy Shell’s client service can simply tell us that our possessions have gotten to the destination warehouse and that they are trying to get in touch with them. They wouldn’t let’s get the warehouse or perhaps inform us where it’s found. It took numerous phone calls from both myself and my spouse to even get Zippy Shell to get a telephone and call the warehouse. To say we’re disappointed is an understatement because we’re currently living and trying to operate in an apartment using a blow-up mattress as our sole furniture. Therefore, in the event that you care about your possessions avoid this provider.

Their service team takes time to achieve, were overdue in falling off our shell, and also the WORST part is that I phoned them about the afternoon our shell was designed to arrive along with IT HADN’T EVEN LEFT THE ORIGINATION CITY YET. And we would not have even known had I never reached them out!! They were not able to provide us ANY information on when it may arrive or to tell us if it renders. I am thinking about a suit if they don’t deal with this correctly – we are paying rent on a home we can not go into! Disgusting business – don’t rely on them!

    NEVER GOT MY ZIPPY SHELL!!

WORST COMPANY, DO NOT USE! We’re moving cross-country and reserved our zippy shell nicely ahead of time. We’re supposed to receive our zippy shell delivered to us yesterday. We have a the day prior to affirming they’d be here between 10:30-11:30am. 11:30am rolls around, nobody is here. We strive calling zippy shell, we’re on hold for an hr and eventually put our number from the”call back list” to allow them to phone back. While we wait, we find out that they utilize HireAHelper so we predict them. We sit on hold for another 30 minutes. . .finally get somebody on the telephone who’s in a position to get a grasp of the driver. We figure out there was a”problem” with all the moving truck and he’ll be here before 2pm. Ok, 2pm rolls around, still no Zippy Shell. We call the motorist (bc I’d made sure to receive his number) and that he states that he does not know who advised us 2pm but he’ll be here until at least 4-5pm AND WITHOUT OUR ZIPPY SHELL! He states that he is at a routine moving truck with another client right now loading their things. He says that he could not match the zippy shell from the truck so now they need us to stock all of our things (3 bedroom home w/ basement), load it on this shifting truck (with different clients possessions on precisely the exact same truck!) , he’d push it into a place, unpack our belongings and then reload it on a zippy shell. This isn’t what we had been told we were becoming. We’re supposed to receive our OWN shell, so load it ourselves, be sure everything was packaged suitably and lock in it OURSELVES. We FINALLY got a call back from Zippy Shell after phoning another time at 2:15pm. Shaniqua told us that they don’t have any way to solve this to us and they didn’t have a motive as to why this was happening only saying that”loose heaps” sometimes happened and there was nothing they could do about it. We told them that this is unacceptable and asked if they can send our OWN casing tomorrow. We had been placed on hold for another 45min and then told they’d call us backagain. We’ve got a call from our motorist an hour after stating that the move was cancelled on his conclusion….at this stage we STILL hadn’t heard anything in Zippy Shell. We’re MOVING CROSS-COUNTRY AND HAVE A HOUSE FULL OF BOXES!! We now have to rent a 26 feet moving truck, tow among our cars behind it and after that push our additional automobile individually cross country… thanks Zippy Shell for royally screwing us over! We do not advise using Zippy Shell because they’re completely unreliable and don’t provide the services promoted!

    Avoid at ALL costs!

They promote their long-haul support as being the answer to the related stress of the move, nevertheless they have shown the entire reverse. As it sounds, Zippy Shell is the sole source of anxiety between my movement, as I shall have waited over a week to allow them to provide the storage pod out of the neighborhood warehouse (after assuring an instantaneous turnaround). Oh, and to not mention the fact that the bunny I purchased wasn’t what was sent , and was partnered via a third party. Mind you, I wasn’t advised of ANY of the. The communication of this provider is the sole thing worse than the ceremony itself. Completely useless. The icing on the cake however? Following their sales staff made innumerable guarantees about instantaneous shipping, I coordinated this movement along with 4 other folks who drove from various areas of the nation to assist with the transfer, and they will most likely be gone by the time that the pod takes place! Amazing! Stay FAR away from Zippy Shell, and happily pay the additional 20 percent to choose a true POD when you’ve got the opportunity. I totally intend to pursue this issue with the ICC along with the BBB, and also to spread the word as far and wide as I can. AVOID ZIPPY SHELL AT ALL COSTS!

    Unbelievably Horrible

Boy, wish I’d read these reviews before picking them. Been 4 months because they took my things and I still don’t have it. Plus they’re charging me storage for every month even though the flaws are their screw ups. Just try to find someone on the telephone. The previous call took me two hours and 33 minutes on hold. Do not be tricked by the automobile message that they will call you back. They will not. They maintain your belongings hostage and you’ll pay a whole lot more than the initial contract to receive it back.

This company doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating

This inspection doesn’t apply to the regional branches, because they’re only storage centers and don’t program or cope with customer services. That applies to Zippy Shell to a nationwide level. This provider is HORRIFIC! Terrible company, dreadful business model. Before you reserve using zippy casing you will need to know the way the model operates. A neighborhood branch is advised to drop off you a casing, you package it and then they pick this up. Next Zippy Shell begins to”bidding” out a cost to 18-wheeler cargo drivers in a very low cost to get your belongings relocated. If nobody chooses the bidding they raise the cost till its picked up. Finally once your belongings arrives in the destination they need to use it to be sent. The guaranteed delivery date isn’t guaranteed. They don’t care about your materials or whenever it receives there. They bid for motorists in the lowest possible sum, which requires more hours than they quote. It took our items more than a month to reach our place (over 20 days following the bonded date). Each moment we called to get an upgrade nobody can tell us in which our things was or when we’d get it. After our stuff really made it into the destination, Zippy Shell did not even notify us, we needed to push into the warehouse to verify our items made it since nobody would answer the telephone. Then they proceeded to inform us we needed to schedule a delivery date and then hello were”slammed” in the present time. So tired of waiting we ended up leasing a vehicle and moving our belongings from this shell ourselves. We had been advised by direction we’d obtain a Per Diem refund for every day that it was overdue which didn’t occur. In addition they proceeded to charge us extra for storage due to the size they were. We have advocated to all of our family and friends that they use another moving company. This provider is a complete nightmare.

    Horrible

I’d give 0 stars if I could – that they did not appear for my move in any way. After arranging a long-distance movement from NYC to Rochester, I had all scheduled (and verified ) to get a Friday move. After missing the’time window’ they gave us for move time, we predicted and couldn’t reach anybody useful.

After phoning ALL DAY, they advised us that our move was pinpointed. Seriously?! In addition, it was a joke that they might only lower our price by $150 with this massive MISTAKE.

They rescheduled to another Monday (that is absurd but we had no choices at the point) and gave us a setup window again. They did not appear during this time window. It was AWFUL! Then they called around 4:30 and stated the movers were on the road – but they never showed up. This appears to be a joke, but it is the reality. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! I am not positive if they are a scam or what. We needed to find different movers final moment, and they caused us SO MUCH STRESS. Zippy Shell is your worst, particularly their customer service since you can not actually reach them in case you require assistance.

Please save yourself and use somebody else.

I’m hopefully going to get into my shell tomorrow and unload itself later leasing a truck. If I believed that was an adventure just I’d, I would not be publishing this review, however over and above, throughout the county, I read testimonials others who have had similar encounters.

I’m adding tothosecomplaints. I’ve waited on the internet for hours on the telephone and times for telephone back hoping to receive my container into my house. Eventually I’m leasing a u-haul truck to float the container to the truck. Mind you this is all in the center of a pandemic. The customer support is non existing. They assert that they will call you straight back and they’ll find a resolution professional and just a supervisor to phone you but NOTHING. The firewall to really contact somebody is enormous. I am hoping those of you who have had problems with this corporation will file reports with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Washington State Utilities and Transportation commission. These men also have other businesses and thus they remain hidden. Know that the subcontract with PackRat, who’s a subsidiary.

    DO NOT USE!

If I could give 0 stars I would. This really is the worst company I’ve ever worked with. We’d scheduled a transfer in NYC to Cincinnati. We flew in to NYC, packed up everything at the midst a pandemic, while still paying for childcare from state, only not to have the movers appear on the scheduled day. As soon as their window for birth passed, we predicted and couldn’t get a hold of anybody. It required us ALL DAY earlier we’ve got a text message from a third party firm letting us know that the transfer wouldn’t be happening and Zippy Shell will be”graciously” giving us $100 off to reschedule. It felt just like a sick joke. Eventually after two weeks on the telephone, we had been advised we’d be paid movers and completely will be coming the following day. We nearly missed our flight to pick up our children and THEN they could not even match everything from the Shell. They did a dreadful job packaging it all (we compensated for the loading) and broke a kitchen island at the procedure. We had to purchase another shell, which they’re asserting will be more expensive than the initial shell. Again, we have spent DAYS trying to get a hold of somebody to sort out this and each and every time, we are told that the individual on the other point is submitting an email to direction. I feel so dumb for using this business after viewing all of their unwanted reviews. It’s completely incredible that they’re still in business. Don’t Use ZIPPY SHELL FOR YOUR MOVE! They’re rude, unreliable, and disrespectful.

ZIPPY SHELL - THE WORST of the WORST!

I barely spend some opportunity to write a poor review – however I’d such a HORRIBLE experience with Zippy Shell that it justified taking the opportunity to frighten others. I have moved cross country two and chose to try out a moving pod now as last time using a moving service that my poles came totally shattered. After cost shopping round, Zippy Shell made by company by its aggressive pricing. My possessions left California on May 28 and have been expected to arrive (I believed ) a couple weeks later. As soon as I phoned June 9th to observe where my bunny was, it’d still not even left California two weeks after (it was only sitting in their warehouse whenever they”coordinated” logistics.) When I asked why it was still in California as it was expected to arrive at Florida within fourteen days – they said 10-1 5 BUSINESS times that’s basically 3 months. The VERY newest it had been assumed to be sent was June 17th, that goes and comes with NO DELIVERY however they still had the guts to charge me in FULL free of shipping. I begin calling them to determine where my bunny is – numerous times every day I’d wait times in excess of 1 hour+ each moment. I am sorry thats only NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A PAYING CUSTOMER. You may even press * to allow them to phone you back that supposedly holds the place online, however I did so 3 individual occasions and nobody really calls you backagain. I began panicking because I had a marriage date approaching along with my attire should be hemmed was at the pod, as well as the name and deed to my automobile to get a DMV appt I’d scheduled weeks ahead in accordance with my Zippy Shell LATEST delivery date. I finally get someone on the telephone following no longer than 12 calls (I even sent them my telephone log together with screenshots of the protracted wait days – around 45+ minutes, one even 97 seconds until I gave up and booted along with two threatening mails to dispute the fee to demonstrate just how UNRESPONSIVE they had been into some client rough answers) somebody FINALLY picks up and informs me theoretically it was just 1 day late since they do not rely delivery to YOUR ADDRESS for this 10-15 day window, they rely delivery for their warehouse locally as your own delivery date. I said WHAT? I have never heard of this kind of absurd thing – unless I’ve my possessions delivered me personally, DO NOT rely as”delivered” – therefore that they refused to offer me over just a measly $50 for my own late delivery. Although the pod had came into the warehouse at June 18th (that was already within the MAX delivery period ) they chose a week to send them into my real speech – my pod didn’t arrive before June 24th!!! It had been picked up May 28th – that they took nearly a month for me my things once I drove here by auto cross state in 3 times! I believe I might have walked my things over quicker. They ruined 2 quite important time programs I had been on to get a marriage and dmv and so were totally undetected, unapologetic, and also a disgrace of a moving ceremony. HORRIBLE COMPANY! HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER RESPONSE TEAM.

Long-distance move from Des Moines, IA
    Horribly company.

Zippy Shell is the most powerful company to select for moving! Don’t opt for this corporation!

We’ve recently moved out of Des Moines, IA into Phoenix, AZ and made a decision to select Zippy Shell as the enterprise to assist us with this very long distance transfer. We packed all of our possessions to a pod and it had been picked up on 6/12/20. We had been advised that 6/26/20 are the newest it would arrive at Phoenix. At that stage, we believed that waiting until the 26th to possess our items delivered has been too long of a delay.

Regrettably, we were incorrect and our possessions didn’t arrive in the Phoenix destination center until 6/30. Zippy Shell never advised us that our substance made it to Phoenix. Rather, we needed to phone to figure out this. During that call, we had been given the chance to ask delivery times for our bunny to be attracted to our residence. But we needed to provide the destination center a 48hr note (for unclear reasons). So it appeared that we’d be with no possessions for another two weeks. Wrong again! We received an email soon then saying that the oldest availability to possess our possessions delivered in the Phoenix centre to our home (Additionally in Phoenix) had been July 14-16th. Another 2 months off! We were informed we can rent a UHaul and then visit the warehouse and then pick up our items instead (again providing the warehouse a 48hr note ). Despite all of this, Zippy Shell has refused to provide any kind of decent compensation (for instance, paying for your UHaul, etc..)

When it is finally time to get a transfer, DO NOT select this provider.

Produced a cross country move, paid for expedited delivery for shipping on the move in date. Was promised it’d be sent on our move in date. Proceed comes no bunny. Call to learn where it is, no one knows and they do not know when it is going to be delivered all of a sudden. Please if you read this review take your company someplace else. Nothing is worse then having your entire possessions lost in transit with no shipping date understood of when or when it’ll be delivered as promised. I am not even sure this is a true enterprise. They fell off our bunny overdue, which is a mistake that we needed to bring them up. I should not need to describe why this is a issue, but the greatest problem is our movers are not any more accessible because the pod wouldn’t be there on the prescribed date. Our pod is here from the new city. It took them two weeks to return to us and schedule a date for fall off. During which time THEY CHARGED US FOR TAKING SO LONG. I REPEAT THEY CHARGED US a storage charge since they required over two weeks to program the pod.

    WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER

Absolutely horrible experience with Zippy Shell. Conditions of contract were totally disregarded. 9-11 business day coming of container turned to 24 business days. I inquired for 1 minute storage at destination for unloading – they gave me 5 times, unless I wished to wait for another two weeks. Had to take care of the authorities to maintain the bulky container around the road for this long. Their support line is awful – after being on hold indefinitely, Kyle that the”settlement supervisor” was totally unhelpful and stated the waiting was our sole alternative, as in a very small link to the organization’s policies about the contract, all scheduling and timelines were”subject to availability”. It does not even matter what the conditions of your contract are, they simply do what they need with your own stuff. Total nightmare – haven’t handled a business worse. Please don’t use them.

I only WISH I could give zero stars!

    Where to even start…

    1) I had been told by two distinct people which they would attract a lock (a thing guaranteed by the business ) if they picked up on my container, as they neglected to perform it once they dropped off it for packaging. Guess what, they did not fetch it, so my container had been sitting in a storage facility entirely unprotected. . .that’s only a tiny fighter.

    2) The customer support is dreadful! Do not expect to talk with a live individual for DAYS once you attempt to reach them out.

    3) I expect you are prepared to squander a good deal of your time together with ZippyShell. My container has been scheduled to be sent on 7/9 involving 8-noon. Nobody ever showed up, and nobody called me. I needed to hunt down the Charlotte place’s telephone number and that I needed to call and inquire where my device was. The guy on the other line said that he”forgot to program my own shipping” and needed some employees come into push my device out of Charlotte into Asheville. When I inquired why I had not been called, the only response that he gave me was”it is his next week as boss.” This clearly considerably delayed the shipping (again…a very simple phone call would not have been really difficult, can it?) So, I’m now missing an whole day of work awaiting delivery which was assumed to occur prior to childbirth. I talked with a saccharin-sweet (ever so bothersome ) customer support rep who informed me”oh no, they do not in fact need to be there till 5, and then we can not refund you any cash.” Should they’ve ALL DAMN DAY to fall the container off, then program for 8-noon (additionally, no where in my own confirmation email did it state that they had till 5. I am calling bullshit. I am thankful Zippy Shell will earn money from my while I am missing work rather than getting compensated.

I am appalled by the manner ZippyShell manages their clients and their responsibilities. I can’t know how this firm remains in business.

Ridiculously long transit with no tracking

TLDR: Zippy is less costly than other moving providers, but should you’d like a business which correctly manages your belongings and produces it in a timely fashion, GO ELSEWHERE.

I hate to become a Karen, however, I still have a great deal of complaints to remove my chest. I signed up a moving arrangement several months before, out of NC to MN. I informed them I intended to move at the week of 7/1. We proposed for my own container to be picked up for transit to 6/24, plus they gave me no reason to believe date would not work with my coming expectations, also gave me a quote of 8-10 times for transit. Tbh, I can not remember if they stated”company” days or maybe not, but they definitely said 8-10. I shall say my shifting arrangement recorded”8-12 business days” since the transit period, so as it did not establish at the first week of July like I had expected, I did not complain. However, it’s now been nearly THREE. WEEKS. And my items have yet to come. I would have been nice with scheduling pick-up before in June, but again, they gave me no reason to believe 6/24 pick-up would not get my items to MN from the time that I got for my new apt.

Furthermore, in NO POINT if scheduling my transfer did they inform me that the”transit time” is only from warehouse to warehouse- just during a few of my calls to get upgrades did they inform me there’s an extra 3-4 times out of when it arrives in the local warehouse to when it is brought to my aggressively from the”busy period”- that I don’t have any idea why it happens a long time once I am self-unloading, so all they’d have to do is push it out and discard it off. In addition they made no mention of the fact that they do NO work over the weekend, therefore it could only be ignored in my location M-F, AND of the simple fact that they don’t offer tracking of your things!! What type of moving company can not monitor your belongings, when damn near everything sent nowadays could be monitored?? I called a few times within the weeks to determine whether they could offer me some upgrades, plus they gave me no sign of where my container has been in, or some notion of if inside that 8-12 day stove it may arrive. Eventually when I phoned on 7/8, I had been told it could arrive Friday, 7/10 in the warehouse (the 12th of those”8-12 business days”), but that they don’t do equal fall off, although I already knew that I totally wanted it to arrive at Monday 7/13 and therefore wanted it fell off afterward, she would just earn a note in my accounts, and I’d still need to phone after obtaining email verification of its coming on Friday to request them to deliver it into my flat on Monday. Just, Friday rolled around and I did not receive an email. I called Friday day with no answer (not the very first time, I have left messages earlier and they have literally taken around 2 weeks to return to me personally ), and didn’t hear back again before I called and left a second message now (Sunday). I then had been told that not only needed my items not came yet (demonstrating their”8-12″ really is a load of BS), however they STILL could offer me no idea as it might arrive or where it is now at, along with the worker I talked with again told me silence would be”8-10 business days”.

So I have been residing in my bare apartment for two months still don’t have any idea when I will be receiving my items , and my loved ones who arrived from out of country to assist me unload furniture tomorrow won’t have the ability to assist, so I will need to work out additional structures for unloading heavy furniture which will not cost hundreds. All of this is not without going into detail about several other problems I have had with Zippy:

    – Multiple brokers have stated 8-10 business days rather than 8-12 for transit, therefore obviously even they have zero clue what is happening with their own company.

    – Charged $159 for”storage in the destination bundle”, even though I had made it abundantly clear I did not want storage, and it also explained in my contract”Monthly storage fees will happen on the 31st day that the things are in storage”, no time before then, and that I had to call twice to find this bill refunded.

    – needed to call a number of times to receive my updated statement with evidence of insurance once I added that.

Strategy to upgrade my review if my items eventually arrive.

Do NOT use this company: dirty and no follow through

LATE: We transferred long distance and have been advised that our most recent coming estimate would 7-10 business days following the first pickup date. 16 business days after, the warehouse eventually called to confirm entrance. And THEN it had been just another two business days until they can schedule a fall off.

Bad COMMUNICATION/FOLLOW THROUGH: each any agent we spoke to, Zippy Shell will be to refund $50 per day for late arrivals. But, we’ve now been looking for a month and a half to get word of any trace through online reimbursement.

FILTHY: Our things arrive caked in street dirt and debris. Each and every bed and box needed to be squeezed down until we’d think about letting it in to our new house. Worst of all were the mouse loopholes that cluttered at the very least a fifth of their contents. We had been assured when we first signed on with ZippyShell that the crate of our contents could be”completely shielded and shrink wrapped.” This was a joke because there were just a couple layers of plastic wrapping which encompassed the centre third of the cage which was otherwise completely exposed to the components.

DO NOT GET SUCKED IN BY PRICE. You may regret your choice.

    Horrible Moving Experience!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This business is a joke along with the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my whole life. Whenever you’re moving onwards, the services that you get guaranteed and cover needs to be sent, particularly if EVERYTHING you have is literally put in their hands.

I must have known there were likely to be problems when some of those times I asked to your container to be lost weren’t offered. Oh, and then not what fit within the container either. Quotes in their containers are somewhat small.

Originally received email confirmation that my container came to a destination on 7/5. Telephone Monday to program container shipping. . .didn’t hear anything for 2 days from them. I phone on Wednesday and come back to discover, it had been coded wrong and it really did not leave its source before 7/8, that had been 10 business days (all data supplied states average transit time to come at its destination warehouse within 7-10 business days). Container did not arrive at destination warehouse before the 12th (although ZS advised me that the 11th. . .called the getting warehouse myself to find out true info ). My container has been picked up on June 23rd (technical initial weekday by these was that the 24th. . .how can it be acceptable in order for it to sit at its origin for almost two weeks? ZS informs me”restricted truck accessibility.” B.S.. .Houston is a hotbed for truck providers (however, the sales rep also told me once I scheduled support, trucks are simple to program in Houston; consequently, contradictory information inside the firm ). When I eventually receive a confirmation email in the moving group of a shipping date, then I was not told or upgraded on a shipping period. Again, needed to phone the receiving warehouse (their 3rd party builder ) myself to find any appropriate info.

Why is it worse is that you can hardly get the client support staff on the telephone and they’re restricted to emails. I’m still awaiting my delivery time data out of them (as soon as the container really unloaded this afternoon ). And to boot up, the client support manager (Brandon) is among the folks who gave me incorrect details on Monday after which dodged my calls that the rest of the week once I requested to talk directly to him personally.

Do your self a favor, possibly rent your own moving truck you may push yourself or proceed with an entirely different business (not even 1-800-Pack-Rat. . .this is the parent firm ). Moving long distance is already stressful enough and also this business supplied such a lousy customer experience that’s made it even worse.

    Terrible company

Should have noticed reviews on this rather than additional moving sites (somehow you can not write reviews on these ), I can not believe I overlooked that the >100 1 star reviews. Within this context it gets entirely my fault but no matter they receive a 1 star anyways.

Pushy salesman to attempt to lock-in the deal guaranteed 10 times with unloading. The contract I signed did possess 6-8 transit times and ASAP(no storage) however, the shipping date composed as TBD however I did not believe anything of it.No problems together with the pickup. I phone 2 days ahead of the shipping date since I had not got any upgrade and have told”it is demonstrating to be in destination warehouse to”xday” (14 transit times ) but we will require 24-48 hours to have movers” once you select a date. They place a note to program that the unloading ASAP. I get charged 1 month storage in any point that week (material is not even in storage so much as I understand ).

1 week following the supposed entrance quote (21 transit times ) I receive an email that they were arrived at destination warehouse. Obviously I am not expecting them about delivery, therefore I predict the following day and no one has ever scheduled anything however or began the procedure. The following day I receive a confirmed shipping date 1 week later on (28 days total). I am none of these”bring me that the supervisor” individuals who complain that the issue is that at each stage they have been those promising items rather than following through. I still haven’t gotten my things but I suppose that the regional movers may do a fine job in a few days.

I need to be 100% clear. My problems with Zippy Shell/1-800-PACK-RAT are mainly based off dreadful Customer support and Customer support. I got estimates from the PACK-RAT and Zippy Shell, and opted to proceed with Zippy since it was more economical. The cost was undoubtedly the very best I saw, and I did plenty of research. I moved out of Northern California to Texas at the middle of summer time (busy year ). I appeared at PODS, U-Pack, U-Box, and a lot of smaller-name businesses. PACK-RAT ranged around average to hardly below average, also Zippy was the priciest. The afternoon of container shipping PACK-RAT showed up, and so start all of the nightmares.

Now for the bad things which greatly outweighs the great:

    – Initially , I was grateful I purchased PACK-RAT containers, because they seemed to be far greater quality and also a bit larger than anticipated. Little did I know that it would be the start of a nightmare movement. I received ZERO note that I must anticipate PACK-RAT containers. So today I needed to cope with Zippy Client Service to get PACK-RAT services. If I would have known how complex it’d all be afterward, I would have diminished reception of those containers.

    – Because I reserved via Zippy, I had been told I couldn’t schedule delivery before my containers’d arrived in the destination warehouse. They said that after I obtained such notification, that I was able to call and schedule the delivery and that it might occur involving 72 hrs and around a week for shipping. Well because I’d PACK-RAT containers, after I received telling they had been in destination warehouse, I phoned to ask 3 distinct dates that range from 72 hrs into a week afterwards and they filed the”petition” into the warehouse to determine what they can do, to that I got a reply that it could be 3 months out rather than This could put me within the 30 day mark that is contained, meaning that I would need to cover the following 30 day lease on the container. I predicted that which sounds like a million times to determine whether there was something that they might do. For the first couple of days, I had been advised that it was certainly fixable and that they would submit a”petition” to expedite shipping. At the conclusion of the afternoon, I needed to wait for the entire 3 months, BUT I wound up phoning PACK-RAT Customer Service straight and found out that they really setup delivery at destination at precisely the exact same time since they setup pickup at source place. . .which simply added to my rage.

    – I have partially compensated for my transfer, and therefore, a part of this quotation I asked included fat tickets for both empty and full containers. I phoned twice prior to getting the containers to be certain everything was on course for weight and delivery tickets, and had been reassured it had been. A couple of days as soon as they picked up the containers I’ve phoned again to be certain that they had been weighed, because I had not got the weight tickets, also that I had been told that they would place a”petition” into investigate the standing, to that I got an email back saying that the burden tickets were NOT a portion of these services asked, and that they would need to be finished in the destination warehouse and then charge me extra to get Now I was already skeptical of the capacity to do anything right, so that I had been calling every couple of days to check on the status of every thing, that each rep, and just a settlement pro manager, told me what was great each moment. After my delivery had been FINALLY scheduled, I needed to go to the warehouse to the scheduled day of delivery since they were MIA, plus they explained that the weight reduction wasn’t available on weekends and that they didn’t understand exactly why my containers had been scheduled for this afternoon because they wanted weight boats.

    – As you found, I set”petition” in quotes. The two Zippy and PACK-RAT just have just one number you may call. No choice for different sections, or advice about HQ. Only Customer Services. Anytime you need something done, these repetitions have to devote a”petition” to the section in question and that is all they could do. 1 rep said that he had been frustrated with the machine only because they don’t have any means of calling somebody from these sections to followup, they are merely able to publish the petition and expect that section receives the petition and suits it at the time that the repetitions are trained to relay to us. Which, allow me to tell you, they never do. Whatever you attempt to perform (request shipping date, then pick up date, even receive billing data, even asking to speak with a freaking supervisor/manager) consistently takes a minimum of three times because of their idiotic request system. That brings me to my second point; Client support.

    – I’m not saying that all customers are always correct, but if you find the number of mess-ups in my personal accounts produced by the business, should I ask to speak with a supervisor or boss who will do over a telephone rep, then they ought to at least say they’ll forward my”request.” Nevertheless I had two reps who only kept repeating that”a supervisor won’t be in a position to modify the dates anyhow” repeatedly to me.

Zippy Shell is a TOTAL NIGHTMARE

I wish I managed to provide them an undesirable 5 star rating- that I contracted with Zippy Shell and had an absolutely dreadful experience in the tough market to reserve the contract on to the whole procedure through the transfer.

Zippy Shell’s customer support is pathetic and unprofessional. It’s tough to have a person on the line or maybe to have a person to phone you back. The individuals who do reply are not able to facilitate a reply. I really don’t understand just how many total hours that I spent on the telephone together waiting for a person to assist me.

My transfer has been selected up & was to be moved instantly using 6- 8 times in transit. It had been 20 full times getting to me personally and could have been more if I had not hounded them. My things didn’t depart the originating place as contracted. They didn’t give me a secret for my Shell as promised. When it eventually got to its destination Zippy Shell needed 3 extra days to provide it. I think all of the debatable issues are inside the Zippy Shell corporate/billing customer assistance , and cooling arenas. Zippy Shell does not care about their functionality. Zippy Shell supplied the absolute worst customer support I have actually experienced. I hired transferring labour for 3 hours at every end of my motions. The real movers were great and productive. Outside of this moving labour, NOTHING ELSE functioned as intended. Don’t use this business, you may repent it if you’d do. It’s all”I understand you’re frustrated or so pitiful” but no settlement for their horribly mismanaged surgeries.

I chose this company because the salesman informed me that my items would arrive upon my transfer in day that was a Saturday. Here is the sole reason why I travelled with them.Their inability to create this deadline prices me extra leasing and many days off from my occupation.

I named the company all day before 7:30-8pm on the afternoon my movement was eventually to arrive. It did not arrive. I eventually got my things once the neighborhood seller interceded following the Zippy Shell Manager assured I’d get my items which didn’t arrive. I truly despise that the regional movers correlated with Zippy Shell have a bad rap. The problems all appear completely corporately driven & predicated in my expertise Zippy Shell’s corporate might care less about whatever. Employing any other firm will help save you time, frustration, heartbreak and significant stress.

    Horrible experience

Don’t conduct business together. They even made my moving experience exceptionally stressful. They screwed up my shipping date multiple occasions, LIED to me on hiring movers to unload my bunny in the warehouse, and then forced me to seek the services of a UHaul and then unload and transfer it myself. The items in my pod obtained filthy from debris, dirt, grime, as well as even mice. That can be along with all of the issues that I had with them about front seeing destination and pod fall off.

Told two weeks, now it's 44 days

    Customer support representatives: awesome.

    My expertise: absurd.

I had been told over the telephone that my pod could require 8-10 business days to move in the warehouse at my nation of origin into the warehouse at my country of destination. It took 17 business days, and now the very first day available for the pod to be dropped away by your local warehouse is 44 calendar days following the bunny has been picked up. I really don’t have to summarize just how frustrating it would be to live with no home once I have children to look after, a home to move to, and also a job to do the job. My only choices for getting my items earlier would be to cover movers to receive my items from the pod in the warehouse and hauled to my residence, or visit the warehouse using a leased truck and take action myself. The single reimbursement for this extreme annoyance is $100 from this fee for those movers, which will be roughly a 25% reduction on just the movers. I am currently $2200 from pocket to get a pod that matches a 2-3 bedroom apartment’s worth of stuff, so I already had to lease an extra truck to transfer larger, more embarrassing products. Today I must purchase kitchen gear, clothing, bedding, and also a high quantity of different staples to get by before my walker arrives, or I pay $300 for movers. Although I will go get my items and time I need, it still feels like I am in a really hard circumstance.

Army families, just do so to get a DItY move as a final resort. The Army was much more dependable and timely. I presumed that this alternative would save me stress, time, and energy. Obviously, I was wrong. To be clear, this is a civilian movement.

My husband is presently a disabled vet and that I want choices which produce my life somewhat simpler. I am sick with disappointment.

The customer service representatives were unfailingly patient and kind. Hold time was between 10-25+ moments before first human contact.

1-800-packrat has united with this corporation. My bunny has 1-800-packrat onto it. You’re going to find the identical experience from both firms but phoning both distinct companies led to different cost quotes for mepersonally, Zippy Shell function as less costly choice.
