Be warned – don’t use this organization. I’m perplexed by the 5* reviews because my experience was really much the contrary. I ordered with Anna for my things to be sent by Vanguard from SF to NYC. I called multiple occasions before the collection to make sure all of the details for the packaging and time demanded were right. The men arrived and firstly informed me that they did not have any tape or boxes so that they needed to visit the local storage location to acquire some, an hour after they returned. Though I had been told it’d take 2 -3 hours, it required them 7.5 hours to package my things. The cost of the move also tripled. I contacted the workplace and Anna told me that the men had made it wrong, they’d inventoried my things incorrectly and that she’d do a new and review stock once the things arrived in the LA storage device. She never did. She also said that the men had done such a lousy job and received a lot of complaints that they needed to be let go from the business.
My things were subsequently sent to NYC, nobody had any idea where they had been throughout the transit and they couldn’t confirm a shipping date for months. I was then advised my things were the previous lot to be sent (I believe they were put off and on several trucks) and that a more compact trailer could be needed for the transport.
The delivery men were scheduled to arrive at 2pm on a Sunday — they came at 8pm which triggered several complaints in my building. They wanted $650 in money otherwise they wouldn’t unload my things and might return in a month or two so?!? The staff doing the delivery told me that they had been sub-contracted rather than accountable for the condition of my things — I would want to take up that with Vanguard. Upon delivery I noticed damaged things and the others were missing. I have followed up with Vanguards, nobody can loacte my lost things, so I needed to finish their insurance types. Before this week I had been advised they’ll supply $48 reimbursement that’s really a joke. I’ve predicted the company multiple days and on Tuesday I had been counseled that Roberta would return my phone ASAP, it is Saturday and I still haven’t learned from her.
If you appreciate your things utilize somebody else.

Four days after I called Vanguard Van Lines to find an upgrade and got no answer. After I spoke to a person I had been told my merchandise were sitting at a WAREHOUSE THE STRESS BEGINS!!!! I was never informed my things were planning to sit at a warehouse!! I called text and again almost daily concerning when were my things likely to be sent. Every time I called, I couldn’t get thru to anyone and just got voicemails.

Three months had passed and on April 25th, I phoned Karen H and she says my things will be loaded onto truck on April 30, 2019. I didn’t get my things delivered to me until May 3, 2019! I asked to see my things before I cover as well as the driver and I went around and around to payment. The motorist said if you do not pay, your things will visit a storage. Karen texts me and says that I want to cover the motorist since he’s other shipments! I didn’t budge and motorist writes on invoice NOT PAID MONEY BEFORE GOING TO STORAGE. The driver unloads truck and I didn’t have 87 bits I’d 57 that was the first quotation. Upon moving thru my things I noticed that the boxes which had broken glass weren’t delivered. I asked the driver and he says he doesn’t understand what happened to the products.

Two days later on May 5 2019, I’d finished going thru the delivered items and detected a number of my things were either left in that stolen or warehouse! I called Karen and said I’ve much lost and she said she will check into it and call me backagain. She never called back, but rather sent me a claim form.

I would like my things back!!! This business should not be permitted to conduct business such as this!! I paid $3,737.00 to get a move that has been quoted at $1,235.00,THEIR BUSINESS STINKS!! My things were sentimental to me and they’ve no right to take my items!!!!

Crooks! No regard to your own possessions. I could say so much, however I will attempt to hit the key points. To begin with, the movers arrived out of both day window they provide you. I was hurried to transfer my items crossover country. Secondly, they caught me at a contract as soon as they arrived to move my items. They will force you to sign up paper work which states you cannot record a dispute with your credit card company, even when you’ve got a real claim. AND, it states they aren’t responsible for any harm. If they FINALLY arrived to send my items, there have been holes at the boxes, then smashed boxes and a few were opened. The motorist had the guts to ask ME to get a dolly. Who comes to your project and does not attract a dolly?? ?? They took no stock; there were many tasks on exactly the exact same truck, which it was a free for everyone for crooks. They were really going to offer me somebody’s Harley, since they had no clue what was mine and what was not. STAY AWAY!

Don’t Use VANGUARD. They are costly and also have horrible communication. DO NOT USE THEM. They’ll leave your stuff at a warehouse for months, never react when you request upgrades and then ruin everything on shipping.

This provider is packed with crooks and criminals! They ruined all of my beds with tears , dirt and tears, all of our bed frames have been broken and hurts (essentially egregious ), ruined nearly all of my furniture due to how the wealthy the automobile, stole our registry presents from our marriage at July 2019, opened and resealed the boxes,”Missing” our 70″ TV!!! And”dropped” 60 percent of my families clothing!

The customer support from David Gibson along with Roberta Hochberg is completely ridiculous and they’re rude individuals. It began with a fantastic quote and great customer support. The pickup team came on time and have been performed fast. HOWEVER, delivery has been just another story. I’d asked delivery on Friday or even Saturday and found out they had been loading my items at LA on Saturday, to be sent on Monday night at 9PM. This really was a no go along with my apartment complex. They said they’d arrive at 8am on Tuesday. Showed up at 10:30am and maintained with me about these measures. Don’t USE! This provider is a total joke. Read all of the reviews. While the costs might appear fair, be ready for an crazy experience. You will undoubtedly engae using”Roberta” finally who places all complaints and also be ready as she simply communicates sometimes via text messages that are incomplete. I have moved very often and this is absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Now I am a day behind. Since I already paid for two trucks I requested my furniture never be transferred to a bigger truck but they didn’t just did my items become ruined I had a few things missing. After Vanguard kept putting me about for three weeks has been told flip it into insurance. This all began in March 2019 and still no charge from insurer. That will be going about 8 weeks. Be cautious with transferring and expecting that a moving business. I guess that my only other issue would be to flip Vanguard and insurer into BBB. I might not get paid for what I lost but it’s going to be available on record. Never again. Could of bought a U Haul for exactly what I paid for this particular jumble.

We had a transfer scheduled for a particular time window because of our journeys. 8-10am that we supported 3 times. The movers showed up in 645pm with no guilt or excuse. They somehow lost our mattress! Losing a box, okay. . Losing a mattress? I bet that they stole it and took it into someone’s house. There’s still no settlement. SHADY firm. Avoid like the plague.

Don’t be affected by the positive reviews, which can be FAKE!!!! Employ this business to get an out-of-state transfer at YOUR OWN RISK. They’re agents who sub-contract with movers and drivers. They required half of the price on select up (around $5k for a two bedroom condominium ) and the other half through certified test on delivery. Our things arrived onto a Penske truck and came broken and damaged. Massive items were stolen or missing. Components of my timber bed looked like it had been left from the rain, instead of stored in storage. This firm has numerous negative articles that reflect similar encounters by others. By changing their name from”Vanguard Van Lines” into”Guardian Lines”. The Better Business Bureau gave them an “F” rating. Do your assignments and AVOID being conned like us. I went for this business as it was”cheap” – big error! They had me rush through my things over the telephone and then sent me a quotation. After the movers came they informed me the measurements for the products weren’t right and that they were not able to shoot my coffee table since they did not have space. Additionally, the movers who arrived were really unprofessional. 1 man came in to my flat, sat on my sofa, and began telling me that he could not take all of it. Another man was asleep at the vehicle. They did not have measuring tape or sufficient tape or plastic wrap to package the big up items. They guy with all the paperwork did not appear to understand what he had been doing. As soon as I asked regarding the webpage for insurance, then he cried and said”nobody actually gets insurance. . .just signal there.” The men who attracted my things were more professional and friendly but something which was not in a box (I boxed my things ) had any harm. I had been introduced with the identical reception as the one that I signed and obtained at pickup, except that one had the first amount owed at shipping crossed out and replaced with a fresh random cost, saying I owed an extra $300 to pay the expense of a shuttle fee (~$200) and stair shipping fee. I then introduced the moving guys with my copy of the receipt showing the initial amount I had been told I would need to pay at delivery and the prepaid fee for those stairs charge. The moving guys said that this was wrong, and so I requested that they let me phone Vanguard to talk. Rather the head shipping guy stated he was already calling Vanguard and using telephone in 1 hand, he started unloading my things together with the flip side! I watched in terror as he banged my nightstand from the truck and put it sloppily on the floor. Then he hung up the telephone and said that he would’dismiss’ the stair charge, though it had been already paid) and bill me the shuttle charge because my things were shuttled from 1 truck to another truck en-route (WITHOUT my understanding ). No mention of the fee was hauled to me if the quote was being awakened, when my things were being picked up, or whenever my things were en-route.

Following the moving guys removed my things and were planning to depart, I informed them that at least one thing was lost. They assessed another dispatch in the vehicle and understood they had packed the thing with the incorrect shipment. This left me worried that there might have been additional things which were mis-packaged. The pickup crew had numbered each thing with decals, often times in addition to this saran wrap used to pay the furniturenonetheless, before I even had the opportunity to count each numbered item, the shipping team eliminated the saran wrap together with the decals, preventing me by monitoring which furniture pieces have been delivered. Do not use this provider. It has been 6 months and I never got my things. In other words, David Gibson problems a quotation. Roberta Hochburg manages up the pick and communicating is closed off. It is a scam to steal your possessions.

They came 6 hours late. The dispatcher does not understand that the traveling time between Glendale and Oceanside in Friday afternoon traffic, takes more than 15 minutes. The men were hard working men. When they had a drill to disassemble a desk, I pulled one from my tool box and then allow them to borrow it. This tool box is currently missing!
They provided to deliver my things early in Portland, therefore , I consented. They demanded I pay the rest, so I did so. Following the driver took my test and began unloading he casually said the remainder of my things would arrive a week, as scheduled. Nobody said this could only be a number of my things. I’m now paying rent in a spot with just some of my furniture.
I was told my things were placed on the truck Aug 1, also will arrive Friday, Aug 3. Aug 3, my matters didn’t arrive! They assured me that my things would be sent first thing Monday morning! (He told me this on a Friday afternoon, along with the driveway from Glendale to Portland is at least 18 hours with no freeway closures or problems ). So, I knew that would not be possible. Meanwhile I’d already paid them the complete equilibrium and I didn’t have all of my possessions.
