This firm doesn’t even deserve 1 star! They accepted that the job in the agent we hired to transfer our home out of SD to FL. We had a three day window and in the end of this 2nd day that they informed us that they’d be there at 6pm on the 3rd day. Two guys appear that were hired from Craigslist to help load up the truck, after which the driver shows up only to inform us that his truck is complete and that he might need to go pick up another one. He returns with a little 16 feet truck to load our belongings that we contracted to meet with a 26 feet truck. Both Craigslist employees feel as the business is shady so that they request to get compensated and walk off the job. We all have left is that the motorist….so my husband is currently helping him perform the movement that we’re paying tens of thousands of dollars to take action. I’m on the telephone with the firm telling her that people want a larger truck and some aid and she promised me that there was another truck on the road and 3 more movers to assist. No one showed up!! Eventually at midnight we all find out that the driver is assumed to go take this truck into storage and return with the first truck that he came in and attempt to move things around to match the remainder of our things inside. In 1am she advised me that there’s nothing she could do, we will need to wait until the following morning and then the motorist can empty the truck and return to the rest! There was no stock done of my things, however she needed me to sign documents stating my stuff was picked up….at this stage I really don’t feel comfortable with them with ownership of my belongings, so we transferred our things into our very own storage unit and informed them we’re no longer using them. The proprietor then calls and disturbs me stating that she will call the authorities and report me for fraud, stating that I never meant to cover, and asserting she’s my things once I am aware that it’s safely tucked away in storage. Never let this firm have any participation in your relocation!!!

I had a really awful encounter with Van Lines Experts. They’re a bait-and-switch firm with incredibly terrible customer services. They’re so awful that even the moving business I utilized ended up cutting ties together…

Here are a few additional information:

1. My transfer has been from Detroit, MI to San Fransisco, CA via a firm Named Cross Country Moving Group, that brokered to Van Lines Experts. My possessions were picked up and place into storage from Ohio (from all places?) For 26 times when I searching for apartments in San Fransisco. After I found a flat, it required the following 44 DAYS to my material to attain my doorstep. 44 DAYS!! It ends up Van Lines Experts didn’t have the tools to transfer my things, so that they brokered to a different moving company without even notifying me.

2. I was quoted about $1800 for the own move. From now my stuff had been packed in the vehicle, the cost jumped to more than 3800!! Over double the quote for a little studio flat! And of course $3 per ft^2 for bubble wrap? Are you kidding me?!

3. They did a dreadful job physically packing my things from the van. I took photographs and dimensions later and decided that there was ~95 ft^3 of vacant space from the moving van. To put it differently, they charged me over $500 to get EMPTY SPACE.

4. They transferred my belongings perilously fast because among the movers had been overdue to conduct on a PERSONAL errand. Specifically, when transferring my 55 at flatscreen TV, they chased the box using a furniture leg, narrowly missing the 1600 TV. They even allowed the whole TV box to drop more, which has been miraculously caught by an celebrating bystander.

5. They dropped my living room carpet and also a box of expensive kitchen products. They also struck some plates and bowls and scraped all of my furniture.

6. The worst aspect of this move was readily the client support. Apparently, there’s 1 person who manages ALL of Van Lines Experts’ clients. I recall calling up of 10 times per day to get a WEEK until I was able to get through for her. Whenever I did figure out how to find a hold of her, then she had been utterly useless.

Do yourselves a favor and employ ANYBODY else to your own move!
