    Long-distance move from Denver, CO
    Solid move

Moved from Denver into Florida, Andre was the foreman, did a complete package, highly recommend, everything came exactly the same condition as when it left. Got my quotation out of Bill, he assisted me every step along the way, allow me to know when they were coming to get pickup and coordinated the shipping also.

Everybody was in uniform, I generally never leave testimonials, but these men were topnotch.

    Long-distance move from Washington
    Thanks for your help!

I promised I’d write a review when the transfer was complete so other folks may see exactly how my experience went. I am happy I did my research in advance. I transferred from Washington to South Florida on January 20. The price I was quoted about the telephone was $3900.00 along with also my final bill was $4000 since I had a few television’s packed. The movers were on time and it took them less than 5 hours to fully pack up my two bedroom flat. What was wrapped very tight and the movers worked really hard. My delivery only arrived yesterday and nothing else has been broken! Over all of my experience was amazing and would advocated this inspector to anybody moving from Washington.

Would give them fewer stars if I could!

Our dreadful experience began with Joshua Haber. He asserted that the moon and”worked hard” to think of a reduction for their own services. I walked room by room throughout the home whilst on the telephone to inform him exactly what we needed for the quotation. I was confused that he kept asking about the amount of boxes we’d. We were not done packaging so that I didn’t have any clue how many boxes we’d have. The boxes we did have were all dimensions. I told him exactly what furniture we had in every room and what things we had within our sheds. The quotation that he finally gave me to our 2100 sq feet home with just two sheds was 8938.
We’d been assured 4 employees. Just 3 showed up and they were two hours late. They walked to our home, started speaking to each other in Russian and shaking their heads. The guide nearly immediately explained that it was likely to charge us A LOT more. A hour and a half went by and he said it’d be more like $11,000.00. I was mad. We had been closing on our home the next morning at 9am. The guy said we couldn’t cover and get somebody else. Evidently, that was hopeless. That, apparently, was that the stage. They understood we had no option.
Since they weren’t adequately prepared in equipment or manpower, they came back the following day. They didn’t appear until noon. I phoned Joshua several occasions and emailed him without a reply. I spoke to his”boss” that was utterly useless. They didn’t finish loading until 4:30 in the day. At the time, the new owners were already there. In the last minute, the guide handed me a record that stated that they had been adding much more to the invoice. It was $12,953.00.
The shipping was worse. After we place the shipping date, each the contract, they have around ten days to provide. I made several telephone calls for Angel that week trying to find a definite date and time. She was not able to supply that. The eleventh day could have been a Monday. About the Friday before that, I received telephone from a Colorado 970 number saying their gear had broken down and they’re unsure if they would have the ability to fix it. I said that Monday was the final day each contract. He said that his concern was his gear. On Sunday, we moved to a city an hour and a half of our property. My daughter got a call that said that they were prepared for delivery. They were supposed to give us 24 hour notice. I phoned them and informed them we weren’t home and they didn’t give us detect and that they would need to program for Monday. They said they’d call the man using all the 970 number. I called back a half an hour later and they hadn’t spoken to him but gave me the amount. I wasn’t able to get in contact with him instantly. When I did, he began by being incredibly rude. I informed him we were not home and hadn’t been given note. Finally, after being unimaginably impolite, he hung me up. I phoned twice before he replied again. At that stage, he began by calling me an f***ing b***h multiple times. He stated he was planning to throw away our things in storage for 45 days simply because he could take action. I told him I’d speak to a lawyer and that they could hear him threatening since the telephone was being recorded-the message if you telephone some Uptown number states the calls are listed. He maintained that it was not recorded. My daughter eventually called him and pointed out that she had been listed on their bill as the receiver and hadn’t been informed whatsoever prior. They agreed we’d push back. The motorists called and said their gear had broken down again. They did not wind up coming until after dark in a snow storm. We had been attempting to mark off things as they unloaded it, however, they wouldn’t place things in a way that enabled us to do this. Finally, some products were missing and broken. We’ve got no method of knowing the number of items went lost since they don’t check off things as they’re delivered.
Uptown is every nightmare you’ve ever learned about moving businesses. I mean to submit a complaint with both the state and national agencies.

    Long-distance move from Colorado
    Literally EVERYTHING is damaged

Moving business: Uptown Moving & Storage. Job quote: $6000. As soon as they started packing my residence, the price went to $10,000. On pickup afternoon, they had been 6+ hours late, came at a Uhaul truck, had hired assistance from Craig’s List to load my possessions. They promise upgraded business trucks, uniformed/trained workers. My possessions were saved in a local storage container down the road. They promise their particular”state-of-the-art” storage facility. On shipping – they chased the trucks, drivers, and’d Craig’s List folks unload. They promise no outsourcing. EVERY piece of furniture has been ruined. The truck was packaged badly – that our Vespa scooter wasn’t wrapped, and has been wedged up against the face of this truck. Our thick snowblower was placed on top of uncovered furniture and delicate boxes. No furniture or mattresses has been shielded. Our shipping came on two different days. The next delivery/driver attempted threatening to maintain my possessions unless I paid him more. The identical driver closed his truck up and threatened to push away when he noticed me taking photos of how my items were thrown into his truck. Both delivery motorists were verbally abusive, and also the first driver began an all-purpose crying match in my drive at 2am which caused the neighborhood authorities showing up. Uptown Moving & Storage is a scam, so they owe me a huge number for replacement and repair, and we’re exploring perusing a breach of contract suit against them together with our attorney. I have photographs to show each of these claims, in addition to a signed statement and get info in the Craig’s List individuals that were hired to unload the very first shipping.

    Long-distance move from Troutdale, OR
    Move from Oregon to Connecticut

Job quote: $8000. As soon as they started packing my residence, the price went to $12,000 from there yet another $4,000 total price on shipping $16,000 When my belongings arrived boxes were lost, I have about $10,000 worth of things broken. Everything you here about moving businesses is accurate once they have the things they could charge you whatever they need.

    Avoid this organization.

    Long-distance move from Colorado
    DONT USE UPTOWN MOVERS

This firm is quite unethical in all their transactions and therefore are unprofessional. Workers in all facet of the company are deceitful. They picked up my things and guaranteed to get it delivered in few days. Rather, my things have been picked up and kept away in unidentified facility and has been delivered after nearly 1 month. In the time of delivery, all of my things were ruined. Additionally, 3 big items- Samsung drier, TV rack and 3-seater couch. The truck driver was quite impolite and ruined walls into my flat while he was away loading my belongings. In addition, he hired a man from the roads to assist him offload my things.
It required a number of phone calls and lots of emails to attempt and get to someone to examine my damaged/missing items. Finally, Uptown known me to a third party company to help me solve my claims. After a few months, the third party firm determined that my damaged/missing things is only worth $70. What a slap on the face! Now, I am thinking about a lawsuit so as to be suitably compensated. People should steer clear of this business since it is going to steal your items and harm your things.
Suing the provider involves visiting Tacoma, Washington and hiring a lawyer. The majority of individuals don’t have the time and cash for such lawsuit. I feel that is why the provider is indulging in this type of behaviour. They are basically taking benefit of the legislation and therefore are becoming extremely negligent in tackling people’s land.
