Universal Moving and Storage

Universal Moving and Storage is attempting to con me!! They picked up my family things in Redmond, WA on Dec 23, 2009. Their truck and workers seemed nothing like the images on their web site. The truck has been covered with grafitti and didn’t have a symbol or business name on it. The employees weren’t in uniform. They had been recruited that afternoon to perform the job. While their quote, according to a comprehensive phone inventory my spouse supplied, was for $3,700, the true price they’re charging is $10,091. After the inspector left, they didn’t give me with ANY paper work (inventory, bill of laden( truck weight) prior to leaving with my products. The motorist called (two ) days after to say I’d 20,000 lbs and the bill could be $10,091. Looking back, the scam started once the foreman, late in the night, advised us that he didn’t have space in his truck to load all of our things. He said he’d”unload” some freight which didn’t have to be sent to Boston until next month, and also make space for our stuff in the afternoon. At that stage, we had been needed to leave town so that we consented. Two days after he called to inform us that the true weight was 20,000 lbs and the movement was about to cost $10K. Universal Moving and Storage is a predatory company which utilizes low ball estimates to receive your precious possessions in their truck so that they could extort higher moving tariffs from you. I’ve been in my new home for over (two ) weeks today without any of my family products. Universal is sticking with their”narrative” and refusing to negotiate. They really throw my spouse’s signature on a few documents. Would you believe that! Their only deal so much is for me personally to: A) send them $9,000 and B) pickup, at my cost, my merchandise from where they’re supposedly kept here in Atlanta. To begin with, I don’t have any intention to send them ANY money until I visit my merchandise and second, there’s absolutely NO WAY I’ve 20K lbs of merchandise. I have records from a prior move, using a respectable national company, to demonstrate that everything I had, and we’ve purged A LOT since then, weighed much less than 20K lbs. Now I spent countless dollars on things I already own but will need to run a family. This unscrupulous firm has produced a traumatic movement even more eventful for the wife and teenaged kids. I spent a few hundred dollars in lawyer fees and expect additional expenses since this bullying firm is accustomed to ripping off people and understands precisely how far they could push the machine. I am not trying to find a FREE move. I simply don’t wish to cover pounds that they did NOT move. Unbelievable !!! These men were prompt,effective,considerate – deven, everette, and also will did a huge job. Their quote was correct, and they might not have been some nicer.i cant say enough – that they even tightened a desk which neede correct. I will use tham again, for certain

They were good! Out of coustomer service into the movers themselves. They made me out of a rush when a second moving business worked last minute and were good to use. Friendly, professional, responsive. I’d definitely hire them again!!!

I hired this business back into Sept 2013 & had a terrific adventure, so that I had to proceed again I believed I knew exactly who to call. When I called they said that they had been using a 120 flat pace, I was very thrilled. They came early and needed my previous roommate (that wasn’t recorded on the movement ) sign in order that they could begin. As soon as I got there they were already hard at work, which I believed was a great thing. Wrong. They used no packaging materials for breakable things, and simply threw them into a box also pushed items such as knives into in my laundry basket and sticks that were unmarked. For this reason I have several things broken or damaged. I had been plagued by the foreman, Rambo. He went so far as to compose a notice. I was so uneasy I retained someone with me at all timed.So another work day I phoned the office to report this offender (that I told the supervisor I had the notice to establish it along with 4 witnesses), missing and damaged thing. Were told by the supervisor he’d assist me once I asked for a partial refund. This went on for 3 times. I never got a refund and has been dismissed. I won’t ever use them again and strongly urge other people to prevent using them too.

We predicted Universal Movers on March 25th and about 29th we already had outside things picked up. Movers came punctually, did not offer us a phone before, however, we had been waiting out anyway with a few of the boxes, even fixed some things, it is always something to take there out there. The team had been working really fantastic, really fast and effective employees, I must say that they did exactly what they came to get but perhaps not in a rude way. In seven hours all of the boxes and furniture were at a truck all set. Our brand new flat was still occupied until the 1st of April so that they kept our belongings for few days at the storage. Movers arrived on April 1st to float. We didn’t observe any dirt, stains or tears, so no scrapes on figurines and frames, other furniture that my spouse was really fearful of. Some poles corners were somewhat smashed, however, it did not do some harm for those things indoors. No harm – without any complaints. In conclusion we had a nice experience with the business, they assisted us, they retained our things, they sent and unloaded safely. Excellent project, see another time!Scott-

Universal Movers lately helped me withmy newest movement. I have a good deal of experience moving and these men were by FAR the very punctual, efficient and proffetional team Ive worked with! The men showed up right on time, packed everything safely for the movement and David was really good at supervising the task and that which was done fast and proffessionaly! I definately know who will be calling to perform my second move!

I can not say enough about how well this movement went together with Universal movers & storage, therefore that I will attempt to sum up it the best I could using a minimum quantity of wording…. The communicating with you men from beginning to finish was outstanding!!! The pricing has been excellent!!! The coming was outstanding!!! We chose to proceed with Universal Movers & Storage. Their qualified crews came at exact moment on Friday afternoon. They were fast, courteous, fair concerning price, and quite professional. There were not any fractures or stains in walls and onto my furniture. You men can employ them to your own move. I understand how great Universal Movers & Storage is. I want their excellent success in company and trust that they will constantly be very careful and inviting with different clients like they’ve been together with my transfer.

Swell and favorable business! I had a massive house which I had moved inside a day. The employees showed up at 7am and remained all afternoon until10pm. They packaged and loaded everything on the truck prepared to send it for me personally to my new property. The employees were so effective and did not require any breaks (only to consume ). They were so useful and they were not hurrying, which I actually enjoyed. They took his time to be certain all my items were packaged great and loaded on the truck right. Thanks Conventional movers & storage for all in general.

I believe it’s necessary to give credit where it is due – the Universal movers & storage group (David, Scott, Mario & Chris) has been wonderful. They left what appeared a hectic and quite stressful move a complete”breeze”. They came on time, were both extremely efficient and professional and had the movement done so fast that we could not even imagine. They were a joy to have around. At another end they had been brilliant making sure that everything moved to the proper corners and rooms. While I move again I shall only be calling Universal storage & movers and nobody else. It is actually a refreshing experience to discover a high excellent support. I’ll be urged them to all coworkers and friends searching for a moving business. Thank you guys!

I was doubtful and I have to say in the beginning having a professional plumber. I’ve heard a few horror stories but I’m thrilled to say that Universal movers & storage supplied a top quality support for me and my loved ones. They have been methodical packaging up our things and they also took their time to perform it correctly. They remained in touch during transit and the exact same team that picked up us delivered us and it moved. Two thumbs up.

I had a contract with this organization. They began to wrap everything up and at the center of the shifting the team leader advised us that we needed to cover the plastic 270. The contract didn’t state anything and asserted it. He reduced the cost around $170 and I stated that wasn’t reasonable in any way. We really had transferring wrap and I requested to use ours and that he explained that the plastic was economical only 9 dollars, that the true cost was associated with the ceremony. Unbelievable, we had been paying per team hour!!! The man was only trying to steal cash. I advised them that we’ll cover the extortion but I’d suit them. At the moment they ceased the moving and left the home. Their supervisor called me afterwards and offered to perform it as agreed in the contract with no additional charge but we said no. We hired other firm. I strongly recommend to not use this business, in the center of the proceeding, whenever you don’t have choice they’ll attempt to throw extras.

Worst moving experience ever. They dont understand how to place furniture back together correctly. Once they moved my things in my new apartment, they didnt set my bed-with storage drawers back together perfect. They left two of my draweres jammed, and now I cant use them. I instantly called the manager once they abandoned, and he said”I’ll return tomorrow”. After about 3 more instances of me calling/rescheduling together with him, listening to him tell me its not barbarous, and needing to listen to his life story about why he couldnt make it I decided to call the primary line to inquire if somebody else would help me. The woman then said to”try again tomorrow”. I gave up and decided to hire a handyman to come correct my mattress. It’s possible they have the lowest cost, but that includes a side of bs.

I used THIS business double and has been disappointed at the service and fees every moment. (I must have heard from original encounter ). They claimed that they would not go a mirror or tv unless I paid them to wrap it prior to loading on the vehicle. I consented to pay an hourly fee to wrap the things, but once I got the invoice, they’d subsequently charged me 6 hours at the hourly fee. Second, they showed up with a truck which was too little, requiring 3 excursions (which prolonged the time and price.) They 1/2 hour for one hour late all 3 times!!! After claiming that the vehicle broke downagain. What type of 1/2 speed organization is that this?? This organization is unethical and actually stole cash by utilizing a classic credit card amount they saved, which is prohibited. They ruined the walls from my recently constructed home by slamming the furniture from the walls. I intend to get in touch with the BBB, Yelp and all of consumer protection bureaus to notify prospective consumers and regulatory services of those methods of your company, for example social websites. If you examine the above complaints you may understand that they have a fraudulent gimmick to generate income out of customers. I just wish I’d read the reviews first.
