The team were friendly and SEEMED to become specialist. But when the moving business I had to unload our items opened up the truck, then it had been obvious that the Umbrella Crew was exceptionally careless when piling up and packaging up our possessions.
Our brand new, $1,400 King sized mattress/box springs were all but destroyed, abandoned entirely uncovered for stained, smashed under boxes and ripped from many areas; our dining room table has been discovered, scraped and it has seats were seriously broken (one dining table leg has been abandoned to roll across the floor of the toilet ). In reality, almost every wooden thing (desk, dresser, bookcase, etc.) that your team packed came with balls broken from them because of poor positioning and inadequate packaging techniques (simply wrap wooden furniture at a thin coating of plastic wrap doesn’t shield them from harm ). Our desk that was in excellent condition prior to the movement was set up from a metal suspension machine free of padding between them, which naturally abandoned multiple gouges/scratches from the timber. . Our microwave fell off the surface of a pair of boxes and dropped on a metal cage, hammering out a chunk from the doorway so that it could no more be utilized. Apart from the bigger items, a number of our delicate things (china, dishware, collectables, antiques, framed artwork, etc) were packaged in this random way that we were astonished that just a dozen or so of our delicate items were damaged or broken. We discovered our brand-new cooking pan place dumped to a big box with no packaging materials and upon review, most of these were scraped up for this.
My Wife and I’ve worked because we were both teenagers, often in the jobs we loathed, for our entire lives to get our possessions. To locate them treated as though they were only crap to be chucked to the rear of a vehicle was quite upsetting and left us feeling quite disrespected.
We gave up the Umbrella Movers that the opportunity to get this right until we started posting testimonials but later supplying us an insulting $347.40 for its many tens of thousands of dollars of harm they caused (that they never sent anyhow ) and then just blowing off my followup mails, it was apparent people necessary to be cautioned.
If you like your possessions, then DO NOT HIRE UMBRELLA MOVERS!
