The Movers 1-2-3

This is actually the very first time that I have ever hired movers, and also the very first time that I have written an overview. I did my own research and discovered that they were highly recommended and has been really very disappointed with the support we’ve got. I was quite detailed in the things we needed to move throughout my first call and had been told that for my own VERY little 2 bedroom duplex residence, it might take 4 hours with 3 movers for a $600 estimate. This isn’t the support I had been given. Here’s the listing of the issues we had:
1. THEY WERE two HOURS LATE. No excuse, no call or text to inform me they’d be late. When I called the office, then I still had to call three times to get someone to phone me back merely to inform”the men are running late”. They requested for an hour window for the movers to show up and that they were still an hour later than that.
2. THEY BROUGHT AN EXTRA MOVER. Without telling me or checking to determine if I was okay with this mind you. Because they didn’t state anything (and because he seemed to be a teen ) I presumed they brought over a relative and I wouldn’t be billed.
3. THEY TOOK ALMOST TWICE AS LONG TO MOVE my items as what has been quoted. When my step father was there, then they had been moving quite quickly, when he left, things slowed down to a crawl. What must have taken 4 hours required more than 6 hours. (Can it be because I’m a girl and I had been lonely, we might never understand ). I do understand that myself and a couple of buddies moved every thing in 5 hours and now we’re not professionals.
4. THEY BROKE SEVERAL ITEMS. Among which was a really pricey DJ turntable that my husband uses to get work. In addition to this, they whined about requesting me to accept it, they didn’t. They said I must have taken something which was invaluable. ALL OF MY BELONGINGS ARE VALUABLE and if you’re not likely to deal with this way then you need to not be transferring people’s matters. And worst of all, although they are guaranteed for matters in this way, they’ve REFUSED to be responsible for the things and we’re currently having to look in civil court proceeding. And of course that if we attempted to get Kingsley, the person who owns the business, he’d over 10 times and more than 5 messages until he eventually flat out lied for my spouse and then refused to cover the harm.
5. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME DOUBLE WHAT THEY QUOTED. After all of this, they arrived back saying that since it took them over 6 hours with 4 guys it arrived at $1100. I anticipated that the quotation was a quotation and might be off a little, possibly $100-$200 at the very least. NOT $500!!!! I obviously wasn’t competent nor could I’ve paid that much because I know for a fact that it did not need to take so long as it did and I didn’t approve an excess individual. I wound up paying $800 that I seriously contemplated cancelling after I saw my own broken possessions.

BOTTOM LINE: NEVER WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.
I’m convinced Kingsley will incorporate some message reacting to the saying that they attempted to use me, and that they did not or attempt to replicate the business because he’s others who’ve had similar encounters, do not fall for this. I really did and it caused me nothing but despair.
