The Green Truck Moving Company (TGTMC) fails to use us seeing broken furniture which has been assumed to be covered under their insurance. We contracted The Green Truck Moving Company (TGTMC) to our relocation on 12/6/19. Our dining room table and submitting cabinet were both badly damaged in the transfer. We can’t stand the dining table on it’s legs along with the file cabinet is banged up beyond repair so badly that the drawers will only open around a third of the way.
We had been in direct contact with Michael Richardson (proprietor; not the owner recorded on the site ). We registered our claim over the 48 hour necessary window and got no response. This started a trend of reaching out to Mike without a reply. He won’t use us despite telephone calls, text emails and conversations. Should you get him on the telephone he behaves completely surprised that the insurer hasn’t contacted you. He says he’ll look into it and get back to youpersonally, but never does. After several texts, calls, emails we finally received a claim receipt verification form on February 14th.
It’s now July and even though one-sided followup, there’s been absolutely no contact in the insurance provider nor resolution out of TGTMC. Meanwhile, the insurance policy form says we can’t make repairs or eliminate these things until the claim is settled. The dining room table is part of a place we had been attempting to market so the entire collection was sitting in our house taking up distance (throughout the holidays and now quarantine mind you) without a disposal or fix resolution.
***Their Better Business Bureau reviews comprise many complaints of similar issues. They did not even react to our BBB criticism. Just dismissed it. Not customer friendly in any way. ***
Other inconsistencies for this business:
-They underestimated our movement despite a comprehensive Q&A with their coordinator.
-Our movement was supposed to endure for a couple hours starting at 2pm. It took until about 1am to get everything transferred.
-We chased three movers plus they shipped two. The price was adjusted to reflect two motorists at the end and also a two hour reduction supplied as a result of elongated timing.
-The movers were very nice but tired in the finish of course. They fell the filing cabinet (on accident) in the surface of the ramp and it landed on one of the toes resulting in a hairline break. Completely dangerous working conditions on account of the business’s mismanagement in organizing the move.
-The site says the owners are Emanuel Reed, Clinton Gray and Derrick Moore. However the person who recognized themselves as the proprietor together with us was Mike Richardson
-The site maintains they utilize”green” shifting methods, thus the title, for example recyclable substances that they get rid of for clients, supplying plastic containers rather than moving trucks, boxes which use biofuel, etc.. They appear to use the very same materials and practices like any other moving company, moving blankets along with a great deal of plastic wrap which isn’t recyclable and that they didn’t carry with them to eliminate in an ecological manner. We weren’t offered plastic bins rather than cardboard boxes. NOTHING green has been mentioned in any way in preparation for or during our movement.
Regardless of all of the problems, I’ll state that the movers themselves were quite wonderful. Stephen, the gentleman that hurt his foot, was likewise really professional. We didn’t expect the absence of professionalism we’ve struck with the owners later working with someone of Stephen’s caliber. We’re disappointed this matter wasn’t resolved under standard resolution practices and also with proper communication from TGTMC.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
First things first. We had been postponed forever, to move in to our new building home because of the tornado that struck TN a few of weeks ago. I’ve attempted to phone and cancel the transfer but they refuse to pick up your telephone. They haven’t answered my my number of voicemails and emails. Their site phone along with the amount in their email goes to the exact cell phone that they continue sending to voicemail.
Secondly, when we reserved, they didn’t inform us that the 119 deposit was non refundable. The individual I talked with just said that this is to book the transfer date. In addition, he didn’t send me some email documentation to the transfer or restarting this”non refundable” payment. Quite dishonest and unprofessional.
Finally, I called them to some in-laws that had been moving before us. The team showed two hours late first off. Afterward, when they got there, then the movers forgot all of the packaging material, so that they left and did not return for another two hours. When they eventually began, they proceeded super dense, broken a couple of pieces of furniture, and lost a a bit of furniture that cracked a floorboard. Then they told my family that should they gave them a fantastic review the proprietor would provide them a $25 gift card; what a freakin joke! As soon as they filled up, it was about 4pm, that was seven hours when they began , they were”hungry” and chose to take the following two hour late lunch”and mind you when we’d done this ourselves we’d have already been transferred in by today. In addition to this, when they eventually showed up in the home to complete the movement, they had been slow, eyes glazed over, and high as a kite. DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. You’d spend less and have moved in fast if you transferred all yourself.
Green Truck movers brought over $1,000 in damages to my own furniture and will only give me $120 for reimbursement because of my damages!! Green Truck movers arrived in my house on moving day within an hour late. They came ill prepared for the task at hand and didn’t have sufficient moving blankets for my own furniture. Rather, (unbeknownst to me), they made a decision to pile my furniture at the moving truck with no sufficient blankets damaging around $1,000 within my furniture. They also didn’t return a number of my private moving blankets which I uttered to them since they have been ill prepared for my transfer. They also lost and broke a couple parts of glass shirts because of my furniture. I registered a claim BEFORE Thanksgiving and it hasn’t yet been solved. They’ve provided me $120 to get OVER $1,000 in compensation. This business is unprofessional and incompetent. I even gave you one of their movers that a washer and drier at no cost and that is the way my appreciation is reimbursed? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR FURNITURE I had a fantastic experience together using a prior movement, but my latest experience was FAR out of great.
Trust the reviews that are negative. I wish I’d have read them first. What I’d say is the exact identical thing already written from the negative testimonials, such as doing drugs at work. Stay away from the organization.
