Stevens Relocation went from business without even telling me, a client, who was moving dictate pending. So who’ll refund my deposit cash because no shifting was completed?
I also called the moving company and they said this Stevens Relocation no longer exists and so they’re not responsible to refund my money.
First Class burglars. Swindlers of great working individuals. Who are the real criminals?
Wow! What a sham of a moving business. At the Start of August 2014 they refused to bill my credit card when They told me that I could use a charge card and then maintained my stuff for 2 days until they eventually charged credit card. (The person who would not charge my card advised me to phone my loved ones for Money .) The loading of a vehicle out of my storage unit required three hours when it should’ve taken two hours shirts (being sensible )-that they moved like molasses! Subsequently the 1 hour drive (for industrial car ) from New Jersey to Brooklyn (30 minutes at an automobile ) took both and a half an hour during which time they billed me $100 an hour. I ended up with friends come and unload the truck if they eventually revealed two weeks later and was still charge $1,000 for the 3 hours of work.
To top it off, I am missing Items like a floor lamp along with a box of books and finished up with another girl’s box of winter sweaters.
Among those 2 movers was a hard worker and that I felt bad He works for this kind of dreadful company. I could not have undergone a worse shifting encounter.
We had a terrible experience with Stevens when going from Providence, RI to Orlando, FL. To begin with, the movers who came to pick up our possessions asked us to get a 15% tip (our complete was approximately 1600) and advised me that”waitresses become tipped 20 percent and we do much more work” UNBELIEVABLE. Subsequently we were guaranteed that we’d recieve a telephone call 24 hours prior to the movers came in Orlando. This NEVER happened, we have a call at 7am stating they’d be there in just two weeks. My mum had to leave work so as to be home for them, because he had been given zero notice along with a 4 day window which they’d be there. JOE RUSSO has been the worst aspect of the whole experience. My boyfriend asked him to complain about the unprofessional manner of this fall off, and obtained an EXTREMELY humorous reaction of”What are you angry about? The stuff was there in time – Are you angry that you’re inconvenienced? Too bad” We also ended up with a box which belongs to a different family and have no Means of returning it to its rightful owner, as There Isn’t Any information about it. After he told Joe that he was going to report him to the BBB, Joe reacted with”Have a wonderful fourth of July, Go F*** Yourself” and hung him up. NEVER use this business, and if you do – steer clear of those impolite incompetence that’s Joe Russo.
This can be a lengthy review but worth the read if You’re Considering using this Business. Buyer beware!
This is an email sent by my own spouse to the proprietor of Stevens Relocation, John Gallo and his supervisor, Anthony Demarco.
In the time of the posting no restitution was provided by this firm.
Hi John, Per our discussion on July 17th here’s your proper claim that we’re submitting to Steven’s Relocation for harms which were performed to our private possessions as a direct consequence of our move in NJ into CT.. I’ve attached images of those items which were damaged/destroyed in addition to provided an explanation under our general experience/disappointment together with the transfer. The images will reveal: 1 ). Everything which has been damaged/destroyed through our movement 2. Photographs of boxes to explain to you the way carelessly our items were stored/packed We’re also missing several things: 1 ). Queen Chair – black two. Thule ski rack.
Because you can see in the photos, the sum of maintenance that has been put to the movement along with the storage of the products has been abysmal to say the very least. My spouse and I just would like you to be aware of how incredibly disappointed we were using the whole procedure from begin to finish. We previously spoke on the telephone concerning lots of the inconsistencies between what has been promised and what has been sent. Here’s a recap of the complaints/concerns:
1. Anthony substantially suppressed the size and price of the movement (we had been going out of a 2,400 sq. ft. house with four bedrooms) – that said we’d 1,500 cubic square feet and we all ended up getting more double that sum. (His quote was off by over 100 percent ) This felt as if that was a means to lure us with an appealing cost and after that increase the price once the real size of this project was hauled to us. Quite frankly, if we understood that the last cost was likely to be over twice what was initially quoted we’d have picked another more renowned mover for example Mayflower.
2. Anthony promised me that when there had to be next truck to the day of the move out of NJ that it would not be any issue and you could be accessible – that wasn’t true and it resulted in some 16 hr. Long evening for me personally. I had been on my toes away from 9 am to 1 am the following day (being 6 weeks pregnant). From the time that the movers returned following unloading the truck the first time it was 9 pm, and they were definitely exhausted and hurried to find the task finished. This is a brutally long day and totally unnecessary in my view.
3. Anthony said that our possessions were likely to be kept at a”Climate Controlled Warehouse” for 16 times at Brooklyn, NY – that was certainly not true and it is simple to tell that from the mould on cushions and couch. Neither you nor Anthony might give me a direct answer regarding where our material was saved – obviously it had been baking in the heat to a ship somewhere in NJ???? Unacceptable.
4. Anthony explained the Steven’s Relocation had been in business for more than 30 decades, the driver said that you’ve been in operation for five decades.
5. But on a positive note John, the foreman at work at NJ has been professional and did everything he could to create the finest of Anthony’s gross underestimation of this project.
On the afternoon of the movement in…
1. I had been advised by Anthony that the window of when the movers could arrive was between 9 am and 12 pm. They didn’t appear till 3 pm. I got no calls in the motorist, Shaun to allow us understand that his ETA (since Anthony had sworn ). They ended up finishing about 9 pm, and it was dark at the point and once more they were hurrying to find the business finished.
2. No one has been wearing anything to be a symbol of your business – without any t-shirts, no title badges, along with the truck had no recourse stating”Steven’s Relocation” onto it.
3. None of those movers talked English – Shaun the motorist spoke broken English. This was especially challenging because we’d inform them where to place certain things from the home and they finished up at the wrong rooms. It was extremely inconvenient for individuals unpacking these previous two weeks. My opinion is that they have been a set of undocumented Russian guys which were hired daily labour — certainly not professional movers.
4. I obviously indicated boxes”FRAGILE” – and also these boxes Weren’t managed with caution
5. They didn’t indicate some of the boxes They packaged on the other end
6. The boxes which they did bunch proved so badly done – therefore each one of the lamp colors which are now destroyed.
7. Our possessions were about exactly the exact same truck as somebody else – that was really perplexing and gave us no more religion which our items were, ” ). Saved as you stated they’d function as b). Not being blended with other people’s things. To this latter stage, a couple items that they pulled from the truck and started moving to the home we needed to inform them weren’t ours.
8. The icing on the cake has been our brand new next door neighbor locating a jar full of pee in their lawn right after the movers left at a empty coke bottle (that we provided to them for supper ).
In summary, John, it’s obvious for my husband and I that the movers were both inexperienced and the maintenance that has been promised wasn’t taken within our transfer in NJ into CT.. It’s also evident to people that our products weren’t saved in a”Climate Controlled Warehouse” as promised. From our conversation about the telephone, you said that you”wished to create this appropriate” which”you enjoy your own businesses, and appreciate your standing”. We honor that strategy and expect that you’re a person of the word. We’re not the sort of people who normally complain but also the harm to our house, the inconsistencies with regards to that which was guaranteed vs. what was once delivered and the general absence of professionalism throughout the whole procedure was so pessimistic that people felt compelled to say anything.
Please let us all know when we could anticipate restitution for the harm.
I can’t know why Stevens relocation remains in business. Our movement has been the worst going experience possible. Our sales man was John Gallo, who offered himself as a seasoned (30 years) Vice President of the business. Everything he informed us in the start to end has been untrue or falsified. In the close of the movement as it came time to solve issues we had been advised by Anthony Demarco which John no longer worked for the business. We had been guaranteed that a morning pickup about 11 August 2014 – that they came late day. We were informed we can use a charge card to the first payment when the vehicle was wealthy – not correct. John’s quote for the movement of a 1 bedroom has been why we approved Stevens for our relocation. His quote was 100% below the true price of the movement. The truck showed up without a Stevens Relocation mark, was filthy and crush. The moving team weren’t wearing anything or uniforms distinguishing them as Stevens workers. The motorist Shawn was not the only one that spoke English that made communication difficult in the beginning. We had been guaranteed Delivery about the 13 of August and obtained our household products on the 18th. The shipping team came at 9:30 in the night and ended at 3am. The moving team didn’t reassemble 1 thing which they had disassembled (each contract). After the dust settled we first discovered that the next: Our pricey entertainment centre was ruined and also had extensive water damage. Our kitchen stainless steel garbage can be hammered to half it’s original size. The living room sofa came missing all four legs. Our big bird cage that had to be summoned arrived overlooking each of the screws to reassemble. Two of those four dining room seats have been broke in half a year. Sewing machine packaged in a transport case has been smashed. A stainless steel countertop microwave was lost and smashed. At the very least a dozon boxes were water stained and materials have been water logged. Wood surfaces have been scraped, lamps broken, boxes overlooking and a lot more difficulties. As of the date (19 Mar 2015) we’ve obtained no reimbursement or mediation from Anthony Demarco or his own firm. Telephone calls aren’t returned -faxs blown off. Regardless of what business you use on your relocation We advise that you take out a lot of insurancecoverage.
Whether this review may possibly save even one person in the dreadful experience with those crooks that I had, then it’ll have been worth my time studying it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They’re CROOKS AND WILL HOLD YOUR BELONGINGS HOSTAGE FOR MORE MONEY. They gave me an emailed binding quote of $1680 according to exceptionally thorough inventory checklist. When they arrived to pick this up on 6/28/15, I had everything piled in the corner of my studio and I asked if it seemed like the exact same quantity the estimator gave me about the binding quote. The work supervisor said it seemed to be the suitable amount recorded in the quote and the estimate ought to be precise, so I said okay to allow them to begin loading plus they had me sign a few papers. Next, AFTER they loaded my possessions and secured the truck, he informed me it took up more space than they anticipated and that I really needed to cover $3959 and he had a fresh written binding quote for me with all the new quantity. I argued and asked what my options were, but the work supervisor said unloading wasn’t a choice and I’d agreed to let them load my possessions and now the truck was already en route to another pickup and there wasn’t anything he could do since the binding quote was only a quote. I continued to assert so he called a manager who advised him to spend $50 but that was all they were going to perform. The work supervisor then told me that they anticipated 15% tip in money on the true price rather than the preceding quote and that they are those moving my items off the truck and on the semi and also to look at that. When the delivery truck came on 7/15/15 the driver explained he had $75 more in money to overthrow the truck to get”stairs charge”. I stated stairs were at the quote, however, he said if I needed my things I needed to cover. They then THREW a number of my boxes and possessions from the semi on the grass and several boxes were broken open and a Jewelry armoir and a secure were broken. My mattress, box spring, bed frame, cooler, and Xmas tree were not from the delivery. The motorist said”it is not my issue. I am a contracted semi rider and can not help you” and abandoned. After he left, I realized that they had left a record of possessions that was not mine. I contacted joe Russo repeatedly and after two months, they eventually found my mattress frame/mattress/box spring and sent it on 9/20/15. I waited until the mattress was sent to write my review to fear that they would not really give it to me after writing this. They did not care about getting back the box which was not mine and that I did not know who it belonged to, so I gave it into the next shipping man so hopefully it could contact the warehouse for somebody to claim. They still have not discovered the Xmas tree or cooler and they have ignored my repeated requests for ways to find damages for all these things in addition to the broken products. WHAT THEY DID VIOLATES THE national motor carrier security association/DOT LAWS!! I’ve registered a complaint against these and urge you do the same in https://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov when you’ve had similar encounters with those crooks. I also filed a complaint with the BBB against them.
Thanks Stevens Relocationfor producing my move to Florida very fast and easy! It was really affordablefor me and it had been the very best quote I had been given. Joseph Russo was my sales man and he also kept in continuous communiation along with me to help keep me updated on every step of my movement. I’ve had experience with additional moving companies that wasn’t that good however Stevens Relocation created me and my loved ones feel safe and well cared for. Thank you !
