GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH

I am quite glad I picked Spartan Moving & Storage…I started getting quotations & was completely overwhelmed with the full process of removal… There are only so many firms, price factors, costs, services, charges, etc.. .
I made the decision to proceed with Spartan Moving & Storage (never to be confused with other”copycat” firms ), since they were the very professional, educated & adapting, placing me at ease from the start. They delivered on time and on budget and kept me up to date from begin to finish.
    Thank you Spartan M & S.. .

Do not use Spartan Moving and Storage

They doubled the quotation at Delivery. They stated there were 40 additional things. That shouldn’t double the purchase price.
They stated Delivery was when we need it, they sent 8 days after pickup. We slept on the ground waiting times for our shipping.
They did a fantastic job loading and wrapping.
They did a fantastic job unloading and building furniture. They did not adhere to the quotation.

    HORRIBLE-DOESN'T COMMUNICATE-DOUBLES PRICE

THE SALES REP, Reggie has neglected all of the way around. The initial bid, the further discount since the cost increase, the initial p/u speech and many phone calls and mails that never were returned.

NOW- the shipping dates promised nobody is communication; see that the email I sent to information spartan and reggie yesterday:”expedited delivery is 12.2 or 12.3. Other people will need to make arrangements to get the load & should plan their programs to achieve that. You’ve got my mobile and email so there’s absolutely no excuse to not convey. In the event you need to wait to unload at the website (address has changed) or move the wrong location will become your cost NOT MINE however your failure to contact or speak w/your client!

I’ve not ever gotten a return call in the two messages I made behind Spartan Friday on expansion 2 & 1 I think.

    Long-distance move from Boulder, CO
    Spartan Moving and Storage

Assuming that these individuals are still out there doing business, I warning everyone who’s searching for a mover to steer clear of this provider. Spartan Moving and Storage, also called Satellite Logistics is your worst inspector that I’ve ever addressed. From looking the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (fmcsa.dot.gov) site it seems that their consent was revoked and their insurance cancelled. But it is possible that they are still working dependent on the simple fact that my son products were eventually delivered AFTER the revocation dates. If you would like detail about how horrible this adventure performed, keep reading. If you do not want detail, just be aware that you can not believe anything they tell you. Have someone else perform your move.

I had been contacted by Jason Levine from the Chicago office (HQ is Baltimore, MD) in late September after submitting a question on movers.com. He seemed really friendly and helpful and gave me a quote of just under $1900 for a transfer from Boulder, CO to Williamsburg. This was predicated on the amount of things that I believed my son needed and according to his one-bedroom apartment in Boulder. This despite the fact that their site advertises a 1-bedroom movement for $1299.

After getting several different quotes I consented to proceed with Jason and Spartan and consented to a contract cost of $1873.34 using a pick-up date of 9/26/2017 along with a shipping date of 10/03-10/04/2017. Jason then gave me his mobile phone number (773-570-6641) and promised me that I could call him if there weren’t any problems and the”he’d be there for me”. He also ensured in writing that”We’re the true CARRIER, which means we just use our trucks, our used movers using background checks and passengers (Foreman) are drug tested bi-weekly medication tested weekly (sic).” In addition, he gave me a few to their”dispatcher” Stacey.

Following that, everything went downhill. On the afternoon of the transfer, 9/26/17, the moving truck showed up. But rather than Spartan Moving and Storage, it was a business Named Pin to Pin Moving. The driver insisted that he wanted a cash payment of $900+ so as to fill up. We knew we needed to cover 50%, but nothing was said about a money payment. I phoned Jason’s workplace and mobile phone numbers but could not reach him. Then I called Stacey and she advised me that, yes, it needed to be money or a postal money order. I explained to her that my son had neither of these accessible to him and she reluctantly consented to have a credit card repayment.

After loading the vehicle, it was discovered that he had roughly 3 times the amount of things which were estimated along with the cost then jumped to $3600. Alright…I will take the hit on most of the…but keep in mind, a one-bedroom transfer is just $1299 each their site.

Since the date of this movement approached, I had been confident that all was fine. On October 3rd, nobody showed up. I called Stacey and has been advised the the 3rd/4th was just the first open window and that they would not be there. She needed to test things to ascertain if the truck could arrive. On the fourth she emailed me personally to let us understand that the merchandise will arrive between Saturday 10/7 and Tuesday 10/10. Also that we’d have to cover $1668.09 by cash or money order when they came. Additionally, I attempted to call Jason and never got a return call.

Nobody showed up over the weekend and on the 9th, I started trying to achieve Jason and Stacey. I heard from Stacey who”there clearly was a problem with the truck” and that they were planning to reschedule. After trying a number of days to achieve Jason I have a string of text messages which read in part”they are working on it today and once I get to the office this day, I’ll check what is happening and call one. Believe me.” “Thank God you are not awaiting a heart transplant to be sent .” Obviously he never called back.

This was once my spouse did additional research and discovered that the FMCSA site and we heard about their insurance. On 10/9/17 it seemed that they still had jurisdiction to function but as of the writing (11/11/17) the site indicates that their jurisdiction was revoked.

Meanwhile my son discovered through the driver that picked up his furniture which there wasn’t any truck difficulty along with his boxes and furniture were still sitting at a warehouse in Denver. Thank goodness for many fair men and women.

A week or so after we heard that his furniture has been straight back on the street. But that truck”broke down” in Kansas somewhere. This took a couple more days to fix.

A week ahead of the furniture finally came, on October 22nd my son received a call telling him that because the shipping was delayed, he’d get a $300 discount on the purchase price. The business instantly recovered that upon delivery by charging him for having to move up one flight of stairs and needing to park”too far off” from the doorway. Fees which were never said before the contract being accepted. Additionally, the delivery truck was again not”Spartan Storage and Moving”, it had been Action Moving. Interesting for a business which simply uses their own drivers and trucks.

At November 1st, he has his products but discovered that a range of damaged things that he has recorded and is presently awaiting reparation. He’s also not got a receipt for the payment on the movers. They stated that it might”be sent to him in the email”. That will be preventing him from getting and compensation from his new company. It is now December 5th and the nightmare is not entirely over.

The point is, as I said at the start. Go elsewhere with your small business.

    Long-distance move from Virginia
A horrible experience with a dishonest company

We’ve been moved professionally double (Las Vegas to Los Angeles and Los Angeles to Washington D.C.) the support we received from Spartan was undoubtedly the worst. We have not had a firm lie about utilizing 3rd party movers, furniture fully broken apart, boxes of pricey items stolen, failure to utilize a list, incorrect items in shipping, overdue pickup (7 hours ago program ), late delivery (11 days ago our requested date), entirely erroneous prices, rude/evasive customer assistance, or utilizing bait and switch to receive our sale. We had been advised by sales rep John S. that we had complete replacement coverage via Spartan ($4000 with $0 deductible). Also that our packaging service wouldn’t exceed $799 (it’d @ $1127.65). Our”Binding to not exceed cost” was anything but, also has been finally $7383.65+. John failed to talk long haul fees, stair charges, 3 percent credit card charges. He left it to the Agency to inform us. In addition, he seemed to lowball the square footage quote to lessen the purchase price. The packaging we obtained was awful. We had been advised that: our TVs will be crated, our products would be wrapped, so our dispatch wouldn’t be removed from the truck before coming to us, not one of that occurred. The packaging service led in 4 out of 6 publication shelves/cd instances being fully broken apart, a broken stereo along with a costly sofa which now has to be reupholstered. Boxes were jammed packed of things without a packing material and electronic equipment weren’t crated or wrapped. Things were also stolen and didn’t arrive. It’s doubtful that the movers packaged our priciest items themselves, didn’t tag the box content and then neglected to arrive in the destination, such as a PS4 and accessories, a costly heater, kitchen mats, and toolbox. This a direct outcome of these movers not carrying down a top value list, composing a precise inventory, or trying to use it upon delivery. The movers that unloaded our merchandise only unloaded the vehicle and didn’t check off anything. Additional boxes/items (luggage, curio cabinet) which weren’t ours have been in our shipping maybe to behave as stand-ins for our stolen merchandise. John also advised us Spartan wouldn’t market out your contract, which they certainly did as the shipping wasn’t Spartan employees but 3rd party movers. John Stevens explained I could reach him out and ask questions. I texted him my 1st and only question and he immediately became mad. Taken completely by surprise with his unprofessional-ism and before I could even type a reply, he phoned me and started to out me. It took a couple of minutes of him ranting until I could interject that I had been to that he said:”No that was not intended for you”, he’d perplexed me for a different client who seemingly had been yelled at. In terms of why he’d yelled at me that there was no denying, only:”Welcome to the world of business”. After a service rep called Stacy started to get in touch with us to test in. She completely ignored our concerns. We’re also told to provide a 1 week notice to our things to arrive. This didn’t occur and our shipping kept being postponed. When we requested to talk to a supervisor Stacy ignored our request. Finally upon delivery Stacy maintained she couldn’t get a hold of me. On her 1st telephone to me I confronted her on the”3 missed calls” she chased me of lost in a text, as I had been standing in the shipping stage that the whole time, all she did was apologize because it was definitely untrue. To add insult to injury they tried to repay or compensation for $68. When I appealed they provided $98. This encounter was a nightmare.
