I transferred from SoCal into Texas and in the minute they arrived in my flat that they appeared they didn’t need to move me. They started by I want to know what they could not bring without initially charging me $800.00 more! Then they started packing up my things (they didn’t tag anything with my own name or location around your own boxes)! They dropped my 200 CD changer that moves to my component stereo method. They did not correctly pack my fridge which led to one of those shelves being ruined. A few of the boxes have been ruined, and naturally, the things inside were ruined too!! They had been a nightmare in the time that they came to the end of my movement!

My purpose is to achieve as many as I can to make sure nobody else needs to go through this procedure.

Not a real moving business – they lie for you to sign up a contract and then hire inexperienced children to visit your house to”package” your items. They then hire a trucking company to haul your items to a new location days once they state they may arrive. Mike also offered to refund 114.00 bucks if I’d sign a form (will upload) preventing them from all obligation of this transfer to include, poor company, broken things, etc.. . He clarified if I chose the refund I could not contact the Board of Managers or move on any inspection website and leave a terrible review. Too little, too late.

I wouldn’t recommend this corporation. My long distance transfer started out okay with my belingings being loaded into a truck. I had been told that it wouldn’t be unloaded before it got to me in NY (which was a lie). My stuff has been unloaded in their storage and then reloaded on a truck from a different company ( I had been told that would not occur either). As soon as I recieved my things, a great deal of the the furniture was scratched, gauged, broken and images and mirrors broken also. Handling the insurance policy co.. Can be a joke. They need all original receipts for each of the damaged items, photographs will not suffice. There are so many damaged things and I really do t have all of the receipts so I’m out of luck!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOU BELONINGS IN 1 PIECE!!!!!!! They’ll let you know exactly what you wish to listen to and do something different. I was confident my possessions wouldn’t be unloaded. The firm they subbed the task to shipped two men who showed up with no tools to place my furniture back together. THE WORST MOVERS EVER!

Talked with manager and salesperson; they blamed paperwork accident. They could not promise a delivery date till I paid for”priority and private” delivery. They billed $800.00 for its technical delivery. The pickup was to be 7/15 and shipping 7/16.

About 7/15, halfway through loading my furnishings, the”foreman” stated that my cost could be $9,278, stating that the stock was greater than I had been quoted. I requested them to cease. The cost was $6,200 greater than quoted! I requested them to unload but they stated I would have to spend money on the labour to unload. I analyzed the stock sheet together with Mike, supervisor, plus it matched exactly – that there wasn’t any gap.

I talked with Charles, the director that lent me the $3,800, in regards to the purchase price increase, he stated that he could not know the growth, because there wasn’t any gap in the stock.

I talked with Mike, a different supervisor, broadly, to solve the issue. Basically, he even defended their overcharge. He could not offer a reason behind its growth. I emailed Mike a compromise, even at which I’d pay $5,000. He didn’t respond to my own email address.

As they’d my furnishings for ransom, I had little option except to cover the $9,200.00.

Since my husband was sick, I knew it would be hard for all of us to attempt to relocate my son so that I had him checking into moving businesses. My husband is about so much specialty medication my funds are limited however I did not find any other alternatives. My son named 3 firms and obtained the cheapest quotation from Roadrunner. I advised him to read the testimonials on the corporation. He explained that there were all good reviews (now recognize they’re fake).

My son (Anthony) has been quoted $1485 to proceed a 1 bedroom, 800 square ft apt. He had been advised the full procedure would require 3-5 days. I used my American Express to place down a 20% deposit ($451). He’d require a personal check on the day that they showed up to package for $705 and the balance could be expected (money order only) if furniture has been delivered. His pickup window was May 13-15. After following up, Anthony was advised that they would be on his flat involving 9am-12 noon, Monday, May 13. They showed up about 1:00pm and that is when our nightmare started. Was Quoted $1485 but after truck had been totally loaded the driver said that it had been above the estimated cubic feet quoted and billed with an extra $1900. Anthony advised them to shoot off his boxes he’d attempt for them to Atlanta a different manner. They place boxes initially, then furniture so that they told him they’d need to control him to shoot off boxes and reload furniture. I had been at home in Louisiana so that I advised Anthony that they had us over a barrel and we had no choices but to cover. The driver advised Anthony they would send furniture following day to Atlanta, early day. Anthony got up early and drove from Tallahassee to Atlanta to be there once they came. Nobody showed up. Anthony was given motorist’s telephone number by Michelle (individual who eventually responded telephone at Roadrunners workplace ). Anthony had to call a few times before she eventually replied. Anthony left the motorist several messages and that he never got a telephone. Anthony has been phoning the office many times each day prior to Michelle picks up. She informs him the exact same thing, they’re in Georgia making deliveries and could be to him shortly. May 16, my son called and requested Michelle to get Manager. Regional Manager eventually returned telephone late today and had been advised that the 1-3 day guaranteed delivery did not apply to him since he did not pay $9000 and lease the whole truck. He could not offer him a date of shipping, maybe next week. This wasn’t perfect since Anthony begins his new job Monday. Everything he could not bring in his automobile was set in Roadrunners truck. He’s got no clothing to begin work Monday. He’s been sleeping in an air mattress with no sheets or cushions in a vacant flat. The Manager could not even tell him where his furniture is because he wished to go and recover some of his possessions. The man was the worst, providing no answers and did not care that my kid had nothing in a town away from his loved ones. I simply don’t understand what to do. I am not even concerned about all of the cash at this time, my kid needs his possessions. Please read the testimonials, you will observe a pattern together with the imitation ones. I won’t ever use Road Runner Moving & Storage ever again! I was just moving two bookcases and also a pub from my deceased moms house, and had been told I’d around 150 cubic feet at the truck so when I wanted to transfer more I could. Mover, Anthony Smith, walked in and explained that it would be an extra $50.00 since I did not answer the telephone when he called to say that he had been on his way. From that point he said I could just move 24 cubic feet and that he was just there to pick up two small bookcases and a little entertainment center. I told him no, that I could move what is the size of two small dressers in my local SUV rather than paying $1,100 into some mover from Florida to North Carolina and then I was told I had more space if I needed to transfer more. Who’d pay to just move 24 cubic feet and that calls a entertainment center little?! It could be a television stand in the event that you truly wish to become technical. Delivery:
Using a delivery window in 7-10 pm, the shipping man hit traffic and came after midnight- 2hrs late. However after my final payment has been passed over to him, he proceeds to inform me that although in my contract that the very first flight of stairs would be absolutely free, it just counts as seven stairs. Thieves, con artists and scammers. The 5 star reviews are imitation. This corporation will take your cash and then change your contract cost charging you MORE. They proceed HALF of your dwelling regardless of what’s on your binding contract arrangement and then charge you the following extra cost to maneuver another half of your house. After needing to call law enforcement and return twice to recover my possessions, they extorted more cash from me when I wanted to receive my possessions back. We then needed to adhere to some Russian man to a different warehouse in which they tried to extort more money to get access to our belongings. FINALLY we reach what sounds like an abandoned storage facility and they give us all our things all broken boxes and filthy dead cockroaches Avoid at all costs!

BUYER BEWARE!!! They’re the worst moving business! They scheduled my transfer December 26, 2019 came late than they cancelled the movement once they attempted to extort an extra $3500.00 more from Florida to New York. They’re thieves don’t believe or trust a word they say. Now need to waste my time in court. I have evidence!

Tldr: The transferring firm is either a scam or entirely incompetent and it feels like there’s zero communicating between their revenue, client support, and dispatch crews. They never showed up for pickup and already took my residue.

The moving business was supposed to emerge on 7/17 Friday at 8:00am. The movers neglected to appear and that I called customer support repeatedly, who just responded at 10:00hope that their dispatch does not open till 11:00am and might give me a call again, but never did. Additionally, I tried phoning my sales rep David, that hasn’t picked up his telephone or called me back since the date of this pickup. I got through after at the call along with another man picked up and promptly hung up and then it went directly back to David’s voice email that’s highly suspicious. I kept trying to phone them and was just able to achieve them again on 7/21 Tuesday, where the customer support representative Stephanie promised that she’d consult her surgeries supervisor about the matter with dispatch needing to reschedule and offer me a call again. Again, I never got the phone back, and touch base with Kerry, yet another customer service representative, on 7/22 Wednesday, that also promised he’d follow up and offer me a phone. Now it’s 7/24 Friday along with the moving business is still not reacting to calls once I have been on hold for one hour and that I highly suspect fraud. It’s completely unacceptable for your movers never to appear along with their staff to never give me some definite dates because I have needed to purchase many things temporarily to even have something to sleep on (and today I’m not able to reunite my own air mattress to Target since they do not allow returns on exposed air beds ), among a number of other products. I already gave them the benefit of this uncertainty throughout the entire week because their customer support staff repeatedly promised to phone me back to upgrade however, they never did and I’m out of patience. I compensated 442.20 for the first deposit that I hope could be maintained or reimbursed in some manner. I advised him that the stairs had been aside from my contract that he started to shout at me on the telephone. We exchange words and that I advised him I’d meet him downstairs. While awaiting from him to arrive I called the customer support number. The girl I talked with was quite patient I was quite mad.

When Sean came I advised him not to fret about the measures I advised I’d talk with Janie and Michelle regarding the topic. Sean then ask the money to cover the balance he quotes me $272.57 I counsel him that I have an email from Michelle together with my closing balance that was $262.57 that he starts to shout. Telling me I want to give him $272.57 or else I will be unable to acquire my items. I paid an extra $5 to money in the cash purchase for money. Sean had me sign a record that he never gave me a copy of the record or even a receipt for the payment.

My things were per my petition left at the lobby. In the conclusion together with his back turned me he said” That is it no longer” and walked off. What do I say outstanding customer services?

The driver I had the displeasure of meeting actually made a joyful situation very hard for no reason. The one great thing from the whole situation is that I will not need to deal with Sean again. I hope he does not ruin another client’s day how he tried to ruin mine.
