I am somewhat behind on posting my transfer reviews but needed to ensure I gave up RMC Movers the credit that they have. I had been recently moved across state for work and has been so concerned about choosing the ideal mover. I contacted Lamar about scheduling a transfer out of my home in Hiram, GA into a new residence in Covington, GA..  We scheduled the movement for Oct. 25, 2012 and also 4 men to move me.  Two of the moving men came at my house in Hiram early.  While waiting for another two together with all the moving truck, then I had been called by Roslyn at RMC’s office in addition to the movers to allow me to understand that they were held up in traffic and could be somewhat late.

These guys were Fantastic!   They showed up right on program and started functioning they second they walked into the door.   I bought donuts for the team and they did not even touch them till they were working for a Few hours.   Everything was professionally wrapped with Fantastic care until it had been loaded.   If you are lucky for Lou, I gotta say, he certainly knows how to pack a truck!!   There wasn’t one vacant space and he utilized every inch of this truck.   The home we moved to had new hardwood flooring, new paint and new carpeting. . .and not a mark has been left everywhere.   These men worked clean, quickly and very economically.   Lamar is a fantastic leader and retains his staff focused. Lamar was really friendly and helpful when booking my appointment. The movers were early and very fast. They wrapped all furniture in blankets, shrink wrap, and tape prior to loading it in the truck. All the men were very considerate and considerate and never slowed down. The direct inspector stopped the clock after they moved everything off the truck and then unpackaged wrapped and everything up their equipment.

***BEWARE*** I advised a transfer with RMC movers a week since the closing on the home was transferred and we had just a couple of days to go out. I’d heard many horror stories regarding moving businesses but contrary to their better guidance that I hired RMC because of their excellent reviews. This has been the worst choice I could have made during this entire procedure.

1. Following a excellent talk with Carol at the workplace, I was confident that she would be sending seasoned movers who have over 11 decades of expertise after reading the following review citing inexperienced movers. The contract said that they could be providing 3 movers plus they introduced 4 movers rather although the group boss (Lamar) was quite clearly the sole experienced mover with the particular job. 1 inspector said that he had never even worked out on a moving project earlier so that the team leader had been coaching him that slowed down the procedure and cost me more $$$. The two other movers also didn’t look experienced since the group boss kept yelling at them for wrap furniture erroneously which again ended up costing me more time plus MORE $$$ in redo work. The group boss said that he needed to deliver a Uhaul truck because his other team needed the company truck to another project, I can only think that this can be the seasoned team I was promised. When I knew I wouldn’t be receiving the seasoned team, I’d have NEVER selected this organization.

2. Inexperienced movers also contributed to broken furniture. More than the broken furniture has been the overall apathy in my cracked furniture. At one stage, I discovered that the group leader had removed paste and attempted to paste a leg straight back into the dining area table without so much as consulting with me first!! When I inquired what he had been doing, I had been advised that the leg had arrived apart as though it was only unscrewed but on further review it was quite definitely busted by his men. He jokingly mentioned that he wasn’t likely to say anything to me at first and expected I wouldn’t notice. How do I never detect MY busted table?!?! He kept mentioning that it is not so bad and nobody will look beneath the desk to observe a broken table leg. He promised me I wouldn’t even notice after it had been glued back together. I was initially told that the furniture could be disassembled and then individually wrapped which could have made it even simpler and safer to transfer this table. The group leader said that I will replace the screws and then twist it down on myself… is not that exactly what I’m paying you for! I’m not able to think that through a transfer nothing is going to wind up scraped or maybe even busted but clients are paying their hard earned cash to get EXPERIENCED movers to take care of their possessions with care. It took another two men over a hour to do a poor job in wrap only the dining room cupboard that still ended up broken.

I’d have looked pass some of those problems with these employees not being able to do the task properly.   I might even justify their lack of openness to perform the job.   All that sounded less significant after I discovered my diamond wedding ring was lost.   Though all is circumstantial because I don’t have considerable proof that one of these workers took the ring.  The situation are far too apparent:  1) My ring was in my jewelry box at the afternoon until the movers arrived to my residence, along with the jewellery box was in my dresser in the master bedroom, half available since it was not closing properly; two ) On this day, and some of the following 3 days nobody came to my home except these 3 movers that arrived to move furniture out of the downstairs floor into the master bedroom cupboard; 3) Once I called the owner to notify him of this episode, I discovered that one of those employees had a warrant for his arrest; 4) the employee was detained for this preceding warrant according to the owner of the firm; 5) the detective who investigated this employee’s background advised me that even though the employee was denying carrying the ring, he had an collection of former criminal action in his background. The person who owns the firm had the courage to tell me that I must bear some responsibility.  I guess that he had been speaking about the fact I wasn’t wearing my ring and instead I had it in my jewellery box.  I was amazed by this opinion but I clearly knew that he wasn’t accepting responsibility for hiring a criminal and sending him to function to a personal home.  This experience was devastating as I’ve been married 30 decades and I valued this ring.  I really don’t have a lot of jewellery but this ring was a substantial portion of me.  Please do not seek the services of this provider.

Movers (or if I call these plain LABOR? ) ) Came 3 1/2 hrs LATE. Because it was their next change of the afternoon and from the time they arrived it was day, they had been already TIRED. Do not take hints….actually walked beyond us if we attempted to speak with him. . .LIED about directions just so he would not need to complete the work correctly. COMPLAINED the entire time bc WE could not supply them TOOLS (um, bc we had been going along with all of our stuff was filled, possibly?)

Instead, they DAMAGED the walls together hallways of the new flat.
