Showed up early with no material. The movement took two additional hours than anticipated. The loaders packed the truck sooooo badly that we needed to purchase more room on the truck and on birth everything changed, broken beds, seats. Bad packaging. The truck driver (different from River City Moving) stated he never saw this kind of bad packing job. I’d def never recommend this corporation. They also tracked mud all around the house and we needed to have the carpets cleaned. As a result of bad packaging, extra space on carpets and truck the transfer cost an excess 1k.

Don’t use these folks.

If you’re moving over a 1-2 BR home or APT – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. . .they aren’t outfitted (physically or centre ) to deal with a huge movement. They showed up late (4-5 hours) with essentially 2 extremely exhausted movers (by a prior movement ), and a idle foreman (who did nothing but sit on his bum ) and using a truck just big enough to maneuver a school student. . .what a dreadful moving adventure…I needed to enlist eveyone I understood using a truck along with a trailor to complete the move ahead. TRUST ME- DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!

River City Movers provided horrendous customer support at a recent movement.  Several things were lost, damaged, and broken up in a recent movement.  Instead of addressing the problems at the right time of this transfer, the movers attempted to conceal the harm and did not state anything regarding it.  As soon as I named the enterprise to explore the problems, the supervisor was sudden and rude.  Unacceptable customer services.  I wouldn’t use this company ever again!

These men were on time, courteous, and so were careful with our possessions.  They did a local move for us and moved lots of big furniture, from a large two story dwelling to a different two story house.  Some bits that they even moved twice, since we did not understand where we needed it.  They moved and wrapped everything with no difficulties.

I am an older disable woman I clarify the the two guys that I had been on a rigorous buget and it could not go over two hrs. Both of these men hassled they worked quickly and worked great together and coated my wooden items and would let me stop that is why they had been there. I have to state this business went above and beyond for me. I can not even consider another move with this out provider. I simply wish I could say how far I really appreate them and the way they handled and worked for me. Please if you want to speak to this organization and need to no how they did CALL ME. I even gave them a cold beverage and they took sip and completed it while driving into the drop off stage. THIS COMPANY TREATED THIS OLD ADY WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT . . Thank you a lot of River City Movers. . I shall tell ALL. My pals. .this proved to be a local movement and they toothose the specific time that I asked them also. I or some of my friends never needed to touch one significant thing within this move..they made this a simple transfer and was really worth to me personally so much more than they billed.

My general criticism isn’t with all the movers. Both gentlemen who moved my possessions were exceptional whatsoever. The difficulty I had was using the impolite dispatcher, Michael and together with whoever owns the provider not setting appropriate expectations. I advised that the co-owner I was moving out of a 2300 sq.. Ft Condo. The primary issue was that the tiny truck which has been shipped that didn’t accommodate all of my furniture. Two excursions needed to be forced to my new house that is 30 minutes away. This caused work which should happen to be 8 hours in the most taking 11-12 hours. In the event the business was fair upfront and informed that it could lead to just two excursions then I would have had the choice of picking a different corporation. When I called to complain that the dispatcher Michael was quite rude and hung up on ke not once but two. He even went as far as threatening us when we did not cover which was not said at any stage in the dialogue. I don’t recommend this firm for any solutions.

Don’t use this provider. They took more than previously quoted and also damaged several things in the transfer. Among the movers was so rude and made sarcastic remarks about never being provided something to drink. I had been advised to shoot photographs of the damage and submit a promise, which I really did. Each time that I call to check on the promise, I’m given the runaround and advised to call back or leave a message. They will not follow through with this promise! Worst moving experience ever and it wasn’t affordable!

This firm is the most powerful for followup on the things they broke. Mike Porter won’t return telephone calls and are not going to stand behind his so called saying. As soon as you pay him, he’s done together and won’t offer any help in following upon a claim. His trucks are in bad condition and aren’t road worthy. His cousin pushes for him and doesn’t have the expertise to back the major truck or flip it around. They towed the truck once it broke down and the load changed and broke several things and ruined others. Mike Porter wouldn’t hear reason and refused to move the load on spectacle that caused all of the damage afterward he lied and stated the wrecker driver wouldn’t take the loaded truck into our destination since I talked with the driver once I sat and saw them move the load at the repair shops lot. He was more concerned about the buck in his pocket compared to the cutomers furniture. A claim has been filled out and hand delivered to River Cities make change office and we’ve not heard back from anybody. I’ve made many telephone calls and moved from the office in which time Mike Porter stated he doesn;t even take care of claims. I don;t believe they have some insurance because they won’t reply to our e-mails, telephone calls or personal visits. I discourage anyone from using this business for any reason at any moment. They’re less than respectful or professional to you for things they destrory. I still encourage Mike to phone me after reading this review.  Thanks, Jimmy

When there were a means to provide them ZERO stars, I would be about it.  WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER.  I have coped with MANY movers at a variety of cities/states during my time for a tenant and that was, definitely, the worst experience I have had.  This includes the 1 time I transferred everything by myself and also loaded that the uhaul on my own and unloaded the uhaul by myself… in the winter.  They had been hired to transfer a 10X10 storage device and a two bedroom apartment (that they had transferred the prior year… same things indoors ) and there weren’t any APPLIANCES being transferred.  No refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer dryer, washer, etc..  They began with the flat… but they were able to package the truck with luggage initially, then bathtubs, subsequently furniture.  It took them almost 4 hours to get this done.  Three men… plus it took four hours to place a two bedroom flat to some truck?!  Wait. It becomes better.  They did not receive all the things to the truck… since they packaged it so badly, I had been left with half of a garage full of my possessions which they could not match and did not offer to send a different truck or return and get it done.  I transferred the things myself in 4 carloads the following moment.  Among the employees was complaining of appetite and exhaustion in 45 minutes of coming to load my things.  THEN they began fighting amongst themselves and yelling out at the parking lot in each other.  THEN they were able not to match everything in the vehicle.  It becomes better.  They dropped a 18 gallon bathtub filled with novels into a pool of water… it started and all of the novels were soaked.  THEN they fell a bathtub that included all of my private files… to the water. No concession was created for both of these accidents.  I wound up unloading the remaining portion of the truck while a man handed me the products.  This will not solve the problem because I needed to cover for one more month in the storage device ($110) since they did not even offer to ship fresh guys/a truck to transfer those products.  I explained all of this to the”supervisor” (it is the only person working the workplace so in case you would like to phone him a supervisor, then go right ahead.  His name was Michael)… he says it is not his problem and because he did not SEE the way they packaged the truck, he does not understand why the things did not all match.  His very best offer to the full situation would be to get me pay complete price to get them transfer my storage device and that he”will provide me $50 off, so half of the storage unit price”.  Why would I need to PAY them to maneuver the remainder of my things as it took as long that the final time and they ruined items? Why would not he feel as though, as a”businessman”, he must correct this wrong and cover the whole storage device price?  Rather, I treated me as though I had been”just another dissatisfied client”.  He stated,”We are not the mafia, ma’am.  We do not simply do things at no cost.” Why did he state that?Because it is not a business enterprise.  It is a badly run”firm”… basically a man that has a truck and also understands some dudes who will lift up things and place them down.  Gradually… and inefficiently… and in your own buck.  And of course the frequent sense truck-packing/loading abilities they lacked.Buyer recall! This is not a moving business.  Friends and family will do a far better job… your teenager children would most likely be a much better choice… or even the homeless guy down the road.  ANYONE BUT RIVER CITY MOVING!

Simply to make it simple and never burn itself again… It’s actually the most powerful moving company and everything they really do is throw your cash and harm your furniture and over they all lie for you when you first call for you in bargain!! They informed me it’ll take between 4-5 hours and it required over 8 hours. . My husband ended up with all the transfer and they ruined two furniture pieces and also if I called into compliant they stated I need to submit a claim by email within ten days of shipping or else it’ll be ignored. In case it reaches them over ten days, then they may send it into the insurance carrier and after that they’ll return to me!!! Oh and the man who answers the telephone exceptionally impolite and unprofessional… He called me” hello”!!!!

I Need to mention I had been surly impressed by this Organization.   I needed to employ this business last minute as my movers that I initially scheduled did not appear. They informed me it’d be a couple of hours until they might come as it was last moment. If they showed up they have been prepared to get the job done. They got straight to it and started the movement. I dwelt on the 3rd floor and has been fairly impressed with the quickness of this move. Overall I’m happy with my services.

I normally do not comment but because I had a fantastic first experience with River City Moving and Storage. I usually have to ask relatives to assist me along with my motions. This time they said you want to hire a moving company. I reached out to many moving companies and once I phoned River City Moving and Storage talked with the proprietor that he was professional and made me feel like I had nothing to be concerned about that his company would look after everything. They were punctually very professional and didn’t let me help. A fantastic encounter would use them again.

My Rivercity moving encounter was that the worst!! Thank God it rained! My movement SHOULD HAVE shot 3hrs. I say that since I proceed virtually every yr and that I understand what I’ve. I had all of my boxes packaged and in the doorway. I transferred EVERYTHING except washer & drier. As soon as I discovered the 2 men were not going to get the work done. I advised them to set the boxes down in the doorway and that I took the boxes at the home. 1st and 2nd load was NOT packaged correctly which then had a 3rd load. Small truck, just why?
I missed work for them being dumb. Cigarette breaks in my own time. Wow

Those gentlemen worked their tails off to get just as much done as you can in the quantity of time I needed to use.
They really hustled for the four hours I asked and required care of all of the large items and really lots of these little products. I’d not have been in a position to create my scheduled movement without them.
They’re polite, professional and efficient from begin to finish.
This is my very first experience working with a moving company, and it turned out to be a nice one!

I was thinking of having a moving company due to all of the stories I have heard previously. However, River City Transferring was certainly the very best, they never slowed down, always shifting, careful with all the furniture, and also quite professional. I’d suggest them for my friends and business partners and would employ them again when I needed to move back again. Can’t thank both gentlemen that did our transfer enough.

I truly wouldn’t even give this business a 1 star. I can’t think or do not wish to think that folks take your items with no guilt. They showed up an hour late (without a expert telephone to state a job could possibly be taking more ) and they then came with a”particular” odor. After moving my furniture that they had been demanding and I’d say something double. We even helped to move a few things on the truck ourselves. With all this said and done I still gave them a $20 tip as a result of cost did not get to the sum I believed it might. However they’d already tip themselves or at least one of those three failed. After that night we found that my husbands nightstand drawer was totally free. When searching inside we discovered that the Watch($295) I gave him for Christmas and $50 or more worth of shift was gone. The opinion might have been only a Watch for them but there’s a story behind it which can not be replaced. As soon as I phoned to report that this the owners brother had been impolite and accused me and said how would that be accomplished. I wish I knew should have been completed before. I sent certified mail with all the worth of this Watch etc. per owners request and still almost three week after no reply. I would never be moving through this problem over something which isn’t correct. I understand the way that companies run but that is shameful! No compromise indicated and unless you happen to be a part of the you know who did so. How could people be so careless and choose what is not theirs. I also have talked to Thumbtack in order that they may be conscious and consider whether they need to keep them a part of the referrals.

I always use movers once we move. I used this business 3/2018. Everything was transferred only to find my own sons box of valuables was lost. Whenever we understood it was lost I called the supervisor, he wasn’t interested in assisting me as I needed to keep calling him for updates. He said he’d investigate and phone me back. He never called me back, I needed to follow him up just to be told that my box wasn’t discovered (obviously it was not discovered ) what burglar would acknowledge they stole something? . He did not provide a solution before I inquired what will be done now. He said that I will call back and talk to CeeCee and she’ll submit a claim. Everytime I phoned for Cecee she wasn’t in the workplace, Obviously a claim hasn’t been filed along with the supervisor once more hasn’t even tried to repair the difficulties. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY in case you do not need any of your things missing. The manager clearly could careless if his workers are stealing cause he’s yet to show he’s attempting to help me rectify the circumstance. I feel like lots of time has passed on to provide him the chance to repair it and he has not done anything.

After viewing my house they gave me personally A3 to 4 Hour quote also it’d be a max of 450 I needed to telephone the office a few times as they were rather slow each time I’d walk out I’d find them hanging down 7 hours after they tried to bill me 770 I talked with the office again we bought a price to $650 I paid them the $650 and tipped the employees. Among the employees walked me back at the home and kept me occupied while the other two workers reloaded my possessions and pulled down the street. I called the police and had been advised since there wasn’t a contract it was a civil issue and that there was nothing that I could do. All these people today use loopholes and gray areas in the legislation to steal and scam. I had been gotten. One of the things that they uttered were my grandma’s jewelry and jewelry box, my own mum’s wedding ring, my husband’s car secrets my car keys heirloom pocket knives which belonged to our own grandfathers and fathers. Prevent these individuals or you’ll be at exactly the identical place that I am in now.

I used this company for a local move. The movers in which fine and for the large part manage most the things with care. Nevertheless, they took my brand new living room table and wrapped it in my brand new house like a used scooter, damaging the whole circumference of this table. I’ve achieved to lake city movers many times through telephone and email. The proprietor keeps talking to CeCe the promises specialist which never calls or supplies a status upgrade. MICHAEL PORTER the proprietor has continued to ignore my petition to substitute my dining room table.

HORRIBLE COMPANY! Highly unprofessional, will too charge, quite disrespectful, inadequate communicating, funny and dishonest. Please don’t invest your money here!!!!

The cost was $300 within the quote. They medication a dresser throughout our recently refinished hardwood flooring and left a dreadful gouge. They shot the gas spring and mount from our front door, made it aside, and the trap is missing. They awakened the water lines into the fridge ice maker in both homes. For some unknown reason that they switched off the hot water from the new residence. The scraped the newly painted walls in numerous areas in the new residence. They left the mattress slat for among our beds in the storage device they had been transferring out it. They were advised to centre a very large quite heavy armoire involving the space entrance door and the cupboard and they place it sticking out in front of the cupboard door by two inches. Worst experience with movers ever!!!

This is the next time River City has transferred my loved ones, and we are extremely thankful. Fantastic job!!! I strongly suggest this Family owned firm.
