River City attracted our dining room place in Qualicum into Powell River to us. They were quite professional and brought everything in and put this up perfectly for people. Every bit was professionally wrapped for security. They came when they said they’d and the cost was quite affordable and was so worth it. The fellows who arrived were speedy and attentive and very agreeable. I’d definitely recommend this organization.
We could not be more happy to urge River City Movers who recently transferred us effortlessly from West Vancouver to Powell River.
Our location at West Vancouver was tough accessibility, using a narrow entrance to back the truck to, and two degrees of outside staircase to browse to a hot summer afternoon. We’re very certain, but from the get go it was clear Bob and his staff knew exactly what they’re doing, and it was a wonderful comfort to believe we were in great hands as the procedure for moving is always trying enough as it is. To sum this up, I’d say that they were dependable, effective, friendly, and professional. Very reasonably priced also. Altogether everything you can ask for!
We’ve had Bob Tindle move things for us 3 times. Every time that he had been dependable, educated, and he and his guys were attentive, reasonable, and also a joy to use. I won’t be afraid to call him on again.
Terrible movers. Dents in walls scratches on flooring and furniture. They even dropped boxes and stated nothing neighbour needed to inform me. They offered $300 but then when they came to unload desired $200 more promised there was more there than I stated. I had been to cover or else they will drive away with my own stuff. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND NEVER BELIEVE BOB TINDLE. SCAM ARTIST
River City Movers, Powell River, BC, has been recommended to me from the owner/operator of this U-Haul place in Powell River, BC, Canada for light loads to Vancouver. I called Bob, the inspector, and we arranged for him to pick up the 3 things that I had transferred into North Vancouver after 5 pm. He offered me just $75.00 since it had been a”back haul” job. I was pleasantly surprised, before he didn’t appear and he didn’t call. So I called him this day. He explained that he had been in a different city 350 kilometers away. He said he’d pick up my items between 12 pm and 5 pm the following day. I waited all day but he didn’t appear and he didn’t call me. Following 6 pm I made two messages but that he never replied to me personally. It’s now two days later and that he hasn’t touched me. He left me stranded with just 3-4 times to discover a inspector that I’ve managed to perform. If I can’t find anybody, I might need to provide these 3 things to charity since I’m not able to transfer them any other way. I might need to obtain a new mattress that will probably cost me at least 400, $75 to get a new seat, and $50 to get a TV dining table.
We weren’t impressed. We had been provided a quote at which we feel that we were likely to be in a position to possess the blankets contained and place to the storage such as other moving companies have achieved for us in the past. Rather, when we came in the storage facility, they set the furniture side-by-side on the ground with no blankets directly between them. When we inquired about obtaining the blankets are purchasing them from them so that this wouldn’t be the situation , they denied. They were also insisting that we pay them with cash when this wasn’t upfront at the first discussion for the contract. We felt pressured with this since they needed to get into the ferry and didn’t need to perform it correctly. My husband needed them unloaded and put them back in with things and boxes and that I needed to visit the Salvation Army to buy blankets so that the furniture may be correctly managed. This was an apalling circumstance rather than one which I would want anybody else to have expertise. Terrible.
River City was punctually to load furniture on truck, but if they left, the truck broke down following two kilometers. Mike Porter (proprietor ) refussed my ideas of moving my furniture into a different truck on spectacle, but known as a wrecker to lift and pull it about I-295 into a neighborhood garage and then moved the furniture. After two phone calls of worries of damaging my furniture, they towed the truck in 75 mph. The load altered if the truck has been picked up from the wrecker and broke a classic desk, a amourer, and destroyred an tv. We filed a claim along with the owners have NEVER returned a telephone or followed up on the promise. River City’s owner (Mike Porter) doesn’t have customer service skills without a scense of duty to follow up with his clients. River City asserts to get Insurance but reveals no signs of any if you file a claim because of their carelessness in destroying furniture and the bad state of their trucks. Mike Porter advised he’s a spouse name CiCi that manages claims but I have never been in a position to talk with this imaginary individual. This happened in December 2013 and River City (Mike Porter) hasn’t made any effort to get in touch with us because of his companies neglect and his bad decision making. I’ve been by his undesirable office on Devoe St and he blew me off and said he doesn’t operate on the promises and refussed to provide me the insurance compaqnies name. I’d discourage anyone from ever using River City to transfer anything anytime for any reason.
