I hired Reputable to transfer me out of Taft to Bakersfield in July. They were quite nice and revealed on time moving day. I had them shop all of my furniture at a garage in which it sat until now. We had a brief move so chose to do it ourselves. Many, many portions of the furniture is brokenup. A marble top coffee table that they broke off the legs!!! My husband did detect them placing our furniture sideways in the moving truck and requested them not to do that. 1 man said you receive 30 cents a pound when we split your stuff. They do not care whether it breaks at 30 cents a pound!! I’m soooo disappointed at the care they gave our furniture which was passed down to us. It isn’t replaceable and Reputable doesn’t cure your furniture with care. I won’t ever use them again!!
I had been moving out of Bakersfield, CA to Green Bay, WI and chose to experience a moving agency so as to reduce the strain with the movement. Reputable storage and moving made the experience much more stressful at each turn. Marti came into my apartment to perform a quotation, and was just there for approximately 5 minutes, and appeared like she could not wait to leave. As soon as I received my quotation, it appeared to be a fairly reasonable price, just below $3,000. I was also apparent up front with her which I wouldn’t be present when the movers arrived to pick up and pack my items, and she stated this could not be any issue whatsoever. After the movers came, I was already in Green Bay, also obtained a call from Reputable telling me that there was far more packaging than they’d signed up to, which I needed to be present differently they wouldn’t pick up my items. Marti, my salesperson had been outside of the country on holiday. This was 3 days before my rent was up and that I had to get my items from the flat. They moved me straight to dispatch because the Client support rep couldn’t answer my questions whatsoever. As soon as I spoke to dispatch he stated it would not be possible for them to pick up this afternoon, and might need to take action the following day, and that I would have to have either myself, or a representative of myself gift to sign the newspapers, saying that a facsimile back and forth wouldn’t do the job. Additionally, the cost would need to be raised with”at least 500″ because of all of the extra packing (that I was quite clear about throughout the quotation ). Since I needed to get my items outside this day, I’d no option except to accept. Afterwards, I discovered an apartment at Green Bay, but it will be the week following the scheduled delivery, therefore I phoned to inquire if there wasn’t any way that they can save my items for an excess week to kind of make it up for me for jacking up the cost at pickup. As soon as I requested Marti relating to this, she explained absolutely no issue. The following day she was able to call me and tell me that the speed for United Van Lines could move up $52 because of the altered dates. Once I went off on her and informed her they had to pay this gap she stated she’d speak with her supervisor. About a hour after, I received a call back from a few other Rep in Reliable who stated she’d only completed calculating my date shift from United’s method, and I would really save around $200 by delaying the shipping and being elastic. All I could think was where in the hell did Marti Jerri receive an additional $52 from????? Therefore that the thesis isalso, try try try and use somebody else if you’re moving long distance in the Central Valley of California. Though United Van Lines is extremely reliable, their representative in Bakersfield, Reliable Moving and Storage, is completely incompetent. As soon as I moved to California I leased a truck and transferred it all myself. After that I presumed a moving agency could be simpler. I had been incorrect, at least in this situation with Reputable. At least all my things made it intact I suppose…
