This firm will reduce ball your quote understanding that when the real movers arrive, the price can be radically different. Since PVL is a broker firm, rather than a moving business, anything which goes wrong during the move isn’t their concern. They essentially charge a great deal of money to ship poor movers to pick up your own stuff. Save yourself time, energy, and money by preventing this business. I’ve lost more than a few of my items from this movement, and neither the moving firm nor PVL might care less.
Additionally, their good testimonials are FAKE. They employ people to write favorable testimonials on them. This business should go from business.
I phoned them and booked them long before my move and obtained a fantastic rate! I had been raving about them to everyone & anyone who’d listen. Moving is really costly and stressful, I thought that I have a fantastic thing! Fast forward to the transfer — they shifted the time they’d first said they had been coming into the subsequent day, they told me that the day my things could be picked it up was departing CO for FL and should take approximately 6 weeks… 4 months after my items came. The price has been 2.5x’s the sum I had been quoted. I had been billed for transferring supplies, even though that was presumed to be free (I’d get a refund for this ). Some items were lost, a variety of items have been broken – they gave me the $ number to get a refund for this — it had been less than what they billed me to transfer the things… I inquired about it, they never reacted. Never sent me some refund.
Its been over a year since its transfer. I was angry at the moment, so I didn’t leave an overview. I’m now, since I simply helped my mother move and she utilized PODS. So much simpler, So much more economical, So not as much stress! If your items are broken, it’s your fault… nothing is missing since you seal it up… they operate in your own time table, so you don’t need to wait for a month to your own things.
Do not use Protected Van Lines – they outsource, therefore whenever there’s a issue, they contact the business — it’s a good deal of waiting for answers and assessing in and matters NEVER get solved.
Avoid this company like the plague! We have had a dreadful experience moving from Illinois to Massachusetts together. OVER A WEEK has now passed because our stuff has been likely to be sent and neither Protected Van Lines (PVL) nor the carriers may even give us a rough estimate of when it will arrive.
We can only receive a human being to pick up the telephone about 30 percent of the time once we telephone and they will not respond to emails. Fantastic fortune leaving messages: we keep getting a message that the voice mailbox is full. It took us 3-4 times of repeated calling their customer service before anybody even picked up.
Every single time we call to inquire when the provider will arrive, they state”we will call you back,” and they never do. They assured us 48 hours’ advanced notice prior to the carrier’s coming to select up our things but that never occurred.
It was just because we kept calling that we eventually discovered late the night before that the carrier could arrive the following day around noon. The company really came at 4:00 pm.
We were told yesterday that the company would send our items now and that we’d find a call with a certain time last night,”or at least 3 to 4 hours’ notice.” No call came last night or some time
today. When WE CALLED and eventually got someone on the telephone now we had been told”maybe now, maybe tomorrow.”
As the client you don’t have any control on which carriers PVL chooses to do business with. The carriers PVL hired were very impolite
and sketchy.
With No advance warning, 1 carrier demanded
A CASH-ONLY charge of $1,000.
The carriers maintain promising to call us beforehand with coming times but do this. We just learn when to expect them if WE CALL many, many occasions. For pickup, they were a few hours late.
1 truck driver collided with the weapon in our pick-up place and billed”bulky item” prices for things as though they were a surprise even though we’d specifically recorded them to receive our quote.
After obtaining our quote out of PVL, we advised them just how many flights of stairs that the movers would need to scale and have been quoted a price for it. The company needed 7 TIMES that number and we ended up paying”just” double exactly what we had been quoted.
The PVL owner even admitted to my husband on the phone which among those carriers had been”dreadful”!
