Moving Services Group (US DOT 2398933) supplied me with a binding quote for my transfer in MN to NY of 2520. I had been told my pickup date could be 11/5 or even 11/6. As I was already in New York, my boyfriend are the only on site in MN to allow the movers to the flat to load my things on their truck–they claim to their site and also on the binding quote that they aren’t agents and have their very own fleet of trucks for shipping. I paid a $756 deposit through internet check to secure my place and lock within my own price. On 11/4, I got a call from dispatch saying that my pickup would really happen on Sun 11/6, that had been in their own first pickup quote time period. When my boyfriend was on website, the men and women who actually showed up were out of Priceline Moving and Storage d/b/a Prestige Worldwide Moving (US DOT 2632688). I was never advised by Moving Services Group that a different firm would be hauling my goods. Prestige Worldwide Moving showed up in a Penske rental truck. Kenneth that the Prestige motorist, told my boyfriend which we’d more things than initially estimated and had to bill us for the extra space on the vehicle. The new bill of lading and binding quote was 2838, which comprised my deposit of $756 with Moving Services Group. Not understanding that was different than the initial quote, my boyfriend consented, figured it is only $300 and signed the new bill of lading/binding quote. Then he paid $1041 via test; Kenneth clarified we would have to cover the remaining $1041 in cash upon delivery. Kenneth filled out a list and marked our things as ruined, gouged, scratched, chipped, and so on, despite the fact that they weren’t in this circumstance. Kenneth clarified they would likely deliver my things on Friday 11/11 in the latest. I phoned Jerry on Monday 11/7 for more clarity concerning the shipping time period, he joined with Isaac in customer support that had been aggressive and aggressive. Isaac stated there was not any way to know when my things would arrive and I’d find a telephone 24 hours prior to shipping. I phoned Moving Services Group back on Wednesday 11/9 and had been joined with Reggie, who advised me that among the Moving Services Group delivery drivers had expired and they needed to complete his deliveries until they would have the ability to send my goods; which is the reason why they contacted Prestige to finish my move. Reggie stated they had no upgrades from shipment. I phoned Prestige Worldwide Moving straight to determine if they had some more information, and was correlated with Josh. Josh advised me that my things appeared to be at the overall Chicago region. He didn’t have an update on if they’d be sent, and explained that I would get a telephone 24 hours before shipping. I phoned Prestige Worldwide Moving again on Monday 11/14 and talked with David, who stated my things have been in storage in Chicago waiting for a delivery driver to be delegated to carry my things to Brooklyn. He estimated that they would most likely have a driver delegated by Wednesday 11/16, which that I should expect delivery between Friday 11/18 and Sunday 11/20. I phoned Prestige on Wednesday 11/16 to affirm that they had delegated a motorist to my things and josh said he didn’t have an upgrade; that no one had yet been assigned and that I would be given a telephone 24 hours prior shipping. I phoned Moving Services Group again on Thursday 11/17 to determine if they had some more information and Reggie stated he didn’t have some upgrades. I registered a complaint with the FMSCA on 11/17 and still haven’t heard back from them. I phoned again on 11/28 to see whether there weren’t any upgrades and I was confident I would be given a call back from Reggie in 30 mins later he got a grip of this dispatcher. After 90 minutes, I called back and was told Reggie was inaccessible. This is the last contact I had with them.
I grew worried once I did a little research and found that these two businesses operate under different names and document modification of speeches and change possession. They’re not BBB licensed as they assert; Moving Services Group asserts they aren’t agents but not advised me that they wouldn’t have the ability to finish my move as intended. Prestige Worldwide Moving (actually Priceline Storage and Moving ) has had its own empowerment involuntarily revoked by the FMCSA on 10/24/16 and just recently reinstated on 11/5/16 (the afternoon until they picked up my things ). According to the FMCSA DOT registration, Prestige Worldwide Transferring has their address listed as 1855 Plunkett St #403, Hollywood FL, 33020 however their contracts and paperwork have them recorded at 3317 NW 10th Terr, #403, Fort Lauderdale FL 33309.
There are plenty of horror stories from those who’ve had their things held hostage until they consent to invest more money and once they do get their things (weeks late), they are broken and damaged or lost.
I eventually got my things on Sunday, December 11th. They Weren’t delivered by Prestige Worldwide Moving or Moving Services Group. I was contacted on Saturday December 10th by somebody saying that my things would be sent the following day about 10am. The individual I spoke with said there may be a $300 shuttle charge as a semi truck could not match my road. I stated my road was rather wide and I’d witnessed many semi trucks push it down before. The individual said he would need to look on google road perspective.
On Sunday December 11th, I received communication from two different telephone numbers–one was a 646 area code belonging to”Mike” who had an Eastern-European accent. Another phone number was a New Jersey area code, also belonging to”Mike” having an Eastern-European accent. At different points through the afternoon, I received communicating that they were just an hour away; other times”Mike” told me that they were still on Staten Island. Eventually”Mike” verified that they were at Edison, NJ, about two hours off. This was at around 3pm after they’d informed me they’d be here closer to 10am. Mike came in a Penske rental truck (License plate: 2358138; Penske ID number: 9168657) alone. I inquired if there were other movers arriving. He explained. It was about this time that I discovered a guy standing around in the front of my apartment building inquiring when that was the shifting job out of craigslist. “Mike” had posted an advertisement to recruit folks to transfer my things upstairs. We were later joined by two more young guys who’d seen the craigslist ad. My things were successfully brought upstairs and I had been charged an additional $300 shuttle charge, even though a semi truck could have managed to fit down my road. Mike was wearing a shirt with the emblem”Boost van lines moving and storage” (US DOT: 2453637) located in Edison, NJ. While unloading, I managed to pull on the 3 guys out of Craigslist apart and asked them to speak to me prior to leaving–I explained my situation, that I had been cheated with this moving firm and gathered their contact information if I wanted it. While unpacking, we realized that we were missing one box and contacted Mike about 20 mins later we’d completed unloading the truck. He said he understood the box we had been talking about and that it was still in the storage centre in NJ, not around the truck. He said he’d email it to us the following day. We’ve still not got the box and I’ve had no additional communication with anybody seeing this movement –I guessed of each of the boxes to shed, it did not include any valuables and it was not worth the attempt to trace it down.
In total, I paid $3138. This was over $600 over my initial $2520 quote offered by Moving Services Group, to which I didn’t include any additional items or services. I personally want to get reimbursed the extra charge and also to be paid for the unnecessary strain of withholding my things for 35 times; nonetheless, I’m not hopeful that I’ll obtain this result. These moving companies intentionally lie and fool customers–they say there is a problem with”dispatch” however they do not possess a dispatcher. They do not even have their own moving trucks, therefore why they picked up and dropped off my things in Penske rental trucks. I’d love to observe these chameleon businesses closed down so they can’t continue to harm people or their possessions.
After my possessions were totally loaded on the truck, I had been advised that it took up more space than was quoted, and I had been billed $700 within the 1300 quote. At that stage, what choice would I have but to cover? This is particularly frustrating since I had been convinced with a sales partner to decide on this business within another that had contributed a lower quote because he stated that the rival was likely to increase the purchase price on me and push back my pickup date – but then Priceline did both of these. My Monday pickup became Tuesday, then Wednesday. And 9am became noon, that became 2:30pm.
When I emailed the sales partner about my dissatisfaction, I got no response. I strongly suggest going with a more honest & dependable firm.
The movers that unloaded my items was dreadful, the place garbage, place all of my furniture upside down, even if needed wheels their are lost, broke plenty of items, smashed boxes, unprofessional, never use afterward,
Rip off! Rip Off! If it appears to be a dissatisfied customer. It’s! Do not use Priceline Moving and Storage. They aren’t A+ Rated. We had been victims of the scam, and frankly, if I listened to the terrible reviews, I’d have been better away.
I will make this as brief as you can, but wish to make sure I emphasize how unethical this organization and the workers are. We had been moving a two bedroom flat into a 1 bedroom home. To begin with , I talked with Josh (said to be from Revenue Depart), that, afterwards spent about a half hour at my house, then introduced an in-home”binding estimate” of $2150.00 to move from Florida to Michigan. I did do my study and obtained at least 6 unique quotes. Theirs were not the cheapest cost but dependent on the mixed reviews, and speaking to Josh on many occasions, I chose to proceed with their quote. Before I gave a deposit, I requested a few times is that the last price I’d pay for the transfer. I had been confident that this was the last cost, I was even given”a reduction,” when I booked together within 24 hours. Again, before I gave my deposit, I asked Josh do they possess their trucks or are they’re a broker? Josh again assured me they aren’t agents and possess their own trucks. Additionally, I wondered why I was being requested for a deposit? I had been advised to lock in the reduction of the quote. I couldn’t stress enough that our movement needed a budget and we could not manage any undesirable surprises (based on a few of the testimonials ). Josh reassured me this was my closing price. Then after Josh obtained my residue, which once I read in many reviews that was a significant error, I started receiving calls from Reggie (said to be with dispatch). Reggie called me a couple of days ahead of my scheduled movement, asking when they might come 1 day prior to our scheduled movement, which naturally we were not prepared. He proceeds to say his foreman, had yet another pickup in my place and it would assist them. In the long run, we remained with the first move date. This is where it gets good. ” The foreman” arrives aka the motorist, arrives in the close of the afternoon, walks to the flat, spends roughly 1 minute taking a look at the things, btw we had the vast majority of the things already packaged (my spouse has OCD). So they all needed to do was MOVE and STORE those products. 90 percent of packaging was already done for them. In addition we had fewer things than the projected state. Then he proceeds to say it’ll charge $3800 (issue 1) to proceed. Dumbfounded, my husband showed him the quote and advised the driver Priceline Moving, and Storage introduced this record and the price tag, and we’re not ready to pay a cent more. The Driver answers taking the quote from my husband’s hands, who gave you this? He responded Josh. The motorist state that is an over the telephone quote (issue 2). We proceeded to notify him that Josh came into our house and gave us this quote. The motorist subsequently reported that he (Josh) gave you this cost to get your company; this isn’t the ideal cubic square feet or cost (issue 3).
My husband and I jointly agreed that we were not likely to fall for the bait and switch and denied for them to maneuver our things. Following the motorist, I get a telephone call from Reggie telling me that the driver says it’s going to cost more and he’s prepared to transfer the things for $3500. This has turned into a nightmare. We had been caught in the situation that we were attempting to prevent. I contested Reggie, what occurred to the quote we obtained from Josh? And how can the DRIVER request me cash when I already paid a deposit to Priceline Moving and Storage dependent on the quote? He responded the driver says that there are far more cubic feet than anticipated. Currently my mind was turning, and anger was constructing. However, I spoke as peacefully as possible and said, if they can’t honor the quote, then we can not continue to conduct business, and that I would prefer a refund as they haven’t completed the job and there are fewer things than at the quote. Reggie advised me that may be impossible, but he will speak with the supervisor, because of the”unique matter.” Since it was on Saturday, after 4 pm, the office is shut, and he’ll return to me.
Days went by and to wrap up this; I had been told that the motorist was let go due to the circumstance and Priceline Moving and Storage gave me the runaround. I eventually contacted my charge card and filed a complaint. I did get my deposit returned, with no immediate assistance from the moving business.
This firm is a entire scam. Charged far more then the quotation. Did not create the shipping date (6 months and counting). Wont let’s in which the furniture is. Each of the addresses are fake.
This isn’t a business – it’s a scam from begin to finish (really I just wish it had been completed but they nevertheless possess the furniture and people don’t have any way to contact them!!!!
If there was diminished then a 1 star I’d have given this!!!!
I could write all of the exact same bad things as additional reviewers, but in short, this”firm” sucks.
Like many, many others, I made the error of employing this”moving company”, and that’s, in actuality, merely a inexpensive agent with unethical practices and no issue for their victims/customers.
I’ve gathered plenty of documentation and data, and you also are able to come across a bogus site which urges them, and it forward to their website, but it is run by the very same men and women. There are tons of phony reviews on the market. They have a lot of complaints and utilize DBA’s to lean them out. They manage your belongings poorly and rely upon insurance to pay for their incompetence. They rely upon other equally unethical moving”firms” and truckers, all not connected with”Priceline Moving”. Incidentally, there are Priceline Transferring at multiple addresses, and if you question them about this, they become really defensive. As a matter of fact, if you’re able to reach them at all, they get defensive regarding any questioning of the solutions, their business, their overall lack of devotion to scheduling, etc..
In summary, they pulled a bait-and-switch in which they low-balled and then hastens the fee at the close of the move. They did not provide a good deal of these stuff. They were hard to achieve throughout the procedure. They made it challenging to convey through all channels: email, texts, voiceand smoke signal, whatever. They showed up hours late the first day of pickup and demonstrated up more than seven hours late the next day – from the time that they showed up it was day – to finish the pickup. They almost never returned a telephone call.
For shipping, they showed up over a week late, and so were missing 25 percent of their stuff.
I’ve a lot of detailed notes, however, the most important thing is do not use this organization.
I believe that they might eventually be closed down today.
