I contracted Pickens Kane/Allied Van Lines to move me by a NW suburb of Chicago into Coconut Creek, FL. At the time that I signed the contract I had been strongly encouraged by the salesman Chris Lidge to buy moving insurance if my furniture was ruined that I did in a price of over $200. This is for a reduction of $30K using a $500 deductible. I was also guided by the salesman that I’d be sharing a massive semi automatic (tractor and trailer measuring 70′) together with three additional households. The morning of this transfer 12/6/2010 a considerably smaller truck revealed along with the driver told me before he even saw my furniture and boxes that his truck had been fairly well filled up with five households packed on the truck before coming to my home (mine being the sixth household ). He explained he’d take what he would and another truck could come for the rest of my items later in the afternoon but what wouldn’t be delivered in precisely the exact same time in Florida since the next truck could pick up my items and take them back to their warehouse where they are loaded at a later date on a different truck headed for Florida. I was angry and promptly called the office along with the salesman and has been told sometimes that occurs. The motorist down it to the ground and told me sorry and also to submit a claim. I’d packed two Murano glass lamps myself with cushions from the box, Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap. The space allowance at the first truck was a joke. The initial truck delivered 1/3 of my possessions in Florida on 12/10/2010 along with the next truck delivered the remainder on 12/l6/2010. Along with both sides of the bottom cupboard being bent in my bedroom place I detected you nightstand was seriously dented (I paid $562 for the nightstand). I registered a claim since I had been advised to do – two estimators were shipped by the inspector as well as both clearly said the bedroom bits can’t be replaced or repaired since the firm Ello custom-made the bits and they’re now out of business. I’ve got the original receipts to the bedroom place and provided it. Pickens Kane/Allied won’t make good in their own insurance that they so easily advised me to buy for over $200. Buyer beware!! – this business is really a disgrace. . My transfer wasn’t a big one and the price was $3700 plus they refuse to make good in my losses WITH PURCHASED INSURANCE. I will join the email I received out of their adjuster Judy Fisher so that you may draw your own conclusions.

In a bid to solve this claim we delegated another fix service and we are responsible for the report.

PK movers were exceptional. Everyone was friendly and professional. They came on time and worked hard from begin to finish. Our furniture has been delivered with no harm. They put together our furniture and organized it just how we wanted. I’d recommend their moving solutions to everybody.

If you would like to have the worst going experience of your lifetime, go with this particular corporation. Otherwise, stay away.

We had been going from Chicago to NYC with two little children, so that I was quite considerate to select the ideal firm. The sales man Jennifer Smith was great in making me think that I am in great hands and when anything happens I’m buying the insurance which can cover it (I spent $500 on it).

There were several problems already on the way but then the biggest surprise occurred when we began urinating. We were shocked to find that our wardrobe boxes were opened and pricey suits of my husband along with my job clothing vanished and boxes were resealed with just a few items left. They need to have been quite mild but not one of the movers let’s know about it. But then the worst would be to take care of the provider afterwards- they had been disrespectful and unhelpful when we whined sending the images of those empty boxes. We called the authorities, in addition to full of a really long claim record. However, the firm said that in accordance with the interviews that they left together with the moving teams nothing was stolen and our insurance isn’t covering our reduction. And also our loss was over $10,000 with lots of receipts because of my spouse custom made suits supplied.
