I had a nice experience with this business a week. Everything went smoothly and there weren’t any surprises on the way. He finally answered after I predicted from a different telephone number. He explained that he THOUGHT the movers were supported for Dec. 22, but that he would affirm with dispatch. This was Tuesday, Dec. 20. I didn’t hear anything else before I received a text at the night of Dec. 21 in the driver, Max, I want to know that they had been in their way and could make it to me by morning. (Mind you, I moved from Atlanta to the D.C. place, so that I had been coordinating and scheduling a great deal of unique bits. The final thing I had to be worried about was if the movers I have scheduled and paid a deposit for will really appear.)

The men did reveal really appear at about 10am the morning of Dec. 22. The packaged all of my items onto the vehicle, then explained that I owed an additional $700+ since I had been over the cubics allocated to me about the truck. Frank never said anything regarding space allotted to me personally. We went through each bit that I have and that he gave me the quote. This Is the Way THEY GET THEIR CUSTOMERS. They estimate you a too low cost, understanding that’s under all of their opponents, they then pack all your items on the truck and also inform you that you owe more money (consequently bringing your general price at or outside the prices of the opponents ). It’s a completely scam and that I fell to it!! Now I have zero choices. I was going into my flat under a week after and all of my possessions were already loaded on the truck. So what exactly did I do? Pay.

Now fast forward to shipping period… Though the contract gave a window of Dec 26-Jan. 2, Frank explained that e specifically scheduled up the pick for Dec. 22 so I could have my items from the D.C. region by Dec. 26 or 27. (I completely know that I was vacation season, but Select Up Movers shouldn’t have taken the job if they Couldn’t meet it. )

From now Dec. 27 came about I’d predicted Frank, the mangers, and shipment almost 20 times, left messages, and hadn’t heard back anything about when my possessions would arrive at the DC region. This was mad to me since Frank nearly stalked me a few weeks back trying to receive my small business. The moment I signed that contract, then the functions completely flipped.

I eventually got through to Frank on Dec. 28 (once again calling from a different telephone number) he explained that he’d check with shipment and guaranteed he’d return my phone. Three days later, still no returned call from Frank or dispatch. So, now I am in a new flat, about to begin a new job, and don’t have any furniture, clothing, kitchen materials, etc..

On Dec. 29, I eventually got through to dispatch (again I still never got that guaranteed call back from Frank) and he explained he had been hoping to find a driver but as a result of the holidays all of his drivers are spending some time with their families. (Entirely understandable… but again they shouldn’t have taken the occupation !) Then he allow me to know that I did not completely read the fine print on the contract and they really gave around 30 days to send my items. 30 times!!!

Eventually on Dec. 30th, I get a returned phone call from dispatch (still no Frank) I want to know that he has discovered a motorist and they’d arrive with my possessions either Jan. two or 3rd. The motorist came near 7pm the day of Jan. 2.

To sum up my experience, it was HORRIBLE. I totally got taken advantage of my Frank along with the whole firm. He received his sale and that’s all he cared for.

DO NOT USE THEM!!

I used this company twice having a very long distance move in Atlanta, GA to Bethesda, MD and from Bethesda, MD to Atlanta, GA, over 6 month time period. The very first move they struck my mirrors and broken my bedroom night stand drawers. Stripped my canopy bed screws. They gave me $100 reduction that was not reasonable quantity of harm they’ve cause to my furniture. The next move they waited before the final evening of my contract of my own occupation and condominium rental to pick up my things. This inconvenienced me Causing me to take more days from work. I paid them 95 percent of the cash after we came. They waited an additional week to provide our things. The contact man Frank Castello was impolite about the whole experience and may care less about our worries. I normally do not write reviews but this business was so unprofessional prospective customers ought to know. At once he cried and cried in my pregnant wife for not agreeing with the way they were treating us. The movers wrapped our TV’s in BOXES WITHOUT ANYTHING to secure its borders and monitor. I turned in my 55′ TV and it no longer works. Who ever picked up our items weren’t the exact same group who dropped off it. The gentlemen that fell off our items were specialists unloading and they unloaded and saved our things so nicely I was completely impressed. Overall I wouldn’t hire them again because they’re not consistent and their procedures are broken, horrible communicating, and they do not value repeat clients.

Where to Start. . Working with select movers up has been a complete nightmare. To outline for anybody who doesn’t wish to read every detail below: they raised our estimate significantly after getting our downpayment, they delivered our possessions nearly a week after they agreed to, were totally undetected after getting our cash, and shattered / destroyed several posts of our furniture.

Their sales person called me every day pushing me to perpetrate, assuring me that we had to reserve asap when we desired our items delivered to our precise move so far. We chose to go together since they had been so persuasive that they’d send on that date. We’d transferred all of our possessions from our flat into a temporary storage place, so we had an specific inventory of what is moved. We had plenty of flexibility on if they can accumulate but we really needed our things delivered on this exact specific date.

The precise delivery date which was promised to me personally throughout the quote interval? We ended up needing to invest over $700.00 on resorts + meals since we were not advised until two days before our guaranteed delivery date which the things would not be coming for another week.

This would not be a huge deal if they had been providing a sofa or a treadmill, but considering this was our beds, our furniture, our garments, all of our possessions, per week discrepancy in shipping date was crippling.

After our possessions arrived they had been loaded extremely haphazardly at the back of a rental truck. Boxes that was clearly tagged GLASS! FRAGILE! Were crushed since they were piled under 3-4 other boxes (see image ). The movers apologized and confessed that they had accumulated our things out of a storage facility at a extremely rushed fashion a week or so before IN THE RAIN so they did not have a opportunity to read the labels… just reiterating that this entire song and dance about needing to accumulate our stock whenever possible in order that they can find the things to us on our shipping date as a whole scam for us dedicated, and reinforcing that these movers didn’t care about receiving our things to us safely (or even on time) and only needed our money.

Several items of the furniture were ruined or damaged from improper packaging and storage, see attached image of broken table. As a consequence of the movers loading our things at the rain and never have tarps our sofas now smell like mould and also have water stains on them (see image of place on sofa under kitty ).

We wrote to them to see whether there was anything that they can do to help us cope with repairs and replacements and they direct us on for two weeks offering us $500.00, revoking offering and then finally telling us that we will need to go through their insurance provider.

STAY AWAY! Work with a different firm that will not bait and change youpersonally, and leave you in endless moving limbo THEN deliver your furniture destroyed.

Took 3 months to get items to arrive if promised 3 times. Quite careful dispatchper. Very unorganized organization with a great deal of hidden fees. Don’t think much better business bureau score of A-. They’re are D- company –enough said. Additionally, my shifting testimonials please be aware of imitation reviews of assumed 5 star customers

If at all possible please run off from them do not just walk off!!!!!

I had been making a transfer in WI to NJ and I had been promised a delivery in 3-5 days due to that I paid extra dollars going to them as opposed to going with my regional movers that had been charging 1/3rd in the speed.

Originally they were quite considerate but when the merchandise is picked up gradually they became really tricky to attain. Their customer service number is not attended!!!

I’d like to find deceptive reasons for delay for example tens of thousands of trucks searching for snow while hunting in weather stations will never find this kind of episode across US. Frequent breakdowns such as at least I’ve learned concerning 6-7 truck breakdown of this carring truck.

Luckily after 100s of calls/texts/emails and begging I might put my things back following 18days!!! Few tables and night stands are totally broken!!!

I expect honesty and ethics in communicating. If you’re telling 3-5 times it may be 6-7 times but 18 times!!!! When it had been hauled honestly I’d have planned my transfer so. Because of these my 3yr old child had to see urgent attention because of food poisoning eating resort foods all time to get a lot of days!!!!

I’d have given a negative evaluation if potential to their dis frank and deceptive communication.

One thing good about these is that the bundle of things that I enjoyed.

But I’d love to lighten again after the items are picked up they’ll be quite tough to achieve and you are going to wind up pleading each second.

If I could give this business a zero I would. This is only one of the worst shifting experiences I have had. First off they signify they aren’t a broker, they picked up my things but moved it to a different moving firm and also acted as a broker. In addition, the moving quote was far off and blamed on me. The salesperson was fantastic before the job had been reserved, and then the bad news kept comingback. Things were lost also. Please don’t trust, it’ll be a nightmare.

These folks are flim flammers. They completely messed up my movement, and now no one will respond.
They broke off a leg a classic dresser, and rather than saying so, they hammered a colossal nail to the face of the chest to the leg….nuts! Along with the nail was sticking out….and a glistening cheap nail hammered to a mahogany chest.
And now no one will respond.
This is actually the worst moving company ever. Beware!

I initially hired Select Up Movers LLC from the thumbtack program for my transfer in North Carolina to Florida. I had been put in touch with Pierre about my movement, he gave me the exact quote, and said that my anticipated delivery may be anywhere between 3-7 times typically, actually telling me it might be sent within fourteen days. My move in date was June 26th, and that I came on this date in prep for my possessions to arrive over the week, or even early next week. On June 28th, I achieved to Pierre to view about the place of my possessions. I had been told that he would check. It got later in the afternoon and I chose to inquire if there had been any upgrades, concerning that I got a reply that the dispatchers upgrade after 6pm and he’ll allow me to know when he receives an upgrade. 3 times pass and still no reply to where my possessions are. On July 2nd, I reached outside to observe where my possessions were once more, becoming very worried since I’ve literally no upgrades regarding where my items have been, and it had been around day 8 of my verbally told delivery window. I was particularly concerned since I had been told that the following stop was Florida, which there were not any additional stops. I had been told once more that he would assess and keep me updated. This could have worried anyone at this stage because there’s not been any direct response regarding the place of my possessions. I told him that the immediacy of having my furniture because I had been having family trip over the next days. I was subsequently told that today the window shifted from 3-10 business days. Not at any stage verbally was I advised that just company days were understood; I suggest that they did select up my possessions to a Sunday, therefore why do I presume that they were moving by company days?

Now I’ve made several calls into the workplace, and then left 3 voicemails within the duration of the whole waiting process, not to have anyone pick up the telephone let alone reunite my voicemails. At this time they have had ownership of my possessions for 10 days. I slept in an air mattress for TEN days. And I had zero idea what condition my possessions are even in. Clearly my family is extremely worried too, and not only did they never get answers with their voicemails, however, my dad and mother were also hung up on by workers. This is a critical problem now.

Because I had no method of reaching anyone, I physically had to go down to the office headquarters to acquire information. Obviously at this stage my loved ones and I’m very disappointed with the lack of customer support and transparency regarding where my possessions are. Obviously I’m not happy at this stage regarding how business has been conducted, and hanging up on my parents rather than returning telephone calls will be the final straw. I wanted to know where my furniture is, clarify what I had been told regarding the shipping date, and now if my stuff will be sent. They gave me the run around about where my possessions were, also flaunted the contract within my own face saying that the window is left up to 21 days not including holidays or weekends, also didn’t care about that which I had been verbally told concerning the shipping date originally. Turns out my possessions were in certain storage device at Georgia also it got there in the 24th and was sitting there for some time and the business was hoping to become slick and also refrain from telling me this. I was subsequently told that my things will probably be sent by Friday or at the latest, Monday (that didn’t occur ). They understood the entire time and did not care to become transparent. Any individual in this scenario will be mad.

I guess that they had been threatened with me or didn’t care for that which I needed to say since they chose to call the authorities on me while I had been awaiting the contract and what I had to be published. I didn’t believe that was racially motivated in any respect initially, I simply thought that they did not understand how to manage clients, but that quickly changed. Since multiple folks I have spoke to about the problem would not provide me a title of the guy, I am going to need to explain him. He’s olive skin tone, hair cut really short, no blossom, approximately 5’10”, along with gritty underside teeth. He called 911 stating I was crying and yelling at the workplace. Not once did I physically do lawfully or anything scream. Whilst at the authentic scenario I had been a frustrated and worried customer addressing the shady company that a company was attempting to pull on mepersonally, but I figure they all view was my colour.

The guy explained that he was”sick of the so **t” and kept telling me to escape the workplace although I had been awaiting the girl at the workplace to print out all records pertaining to my purchase. I didn’t wish to step out not only due to the warmth, but also because I needed to ensure that there were not any attempts at changing the files I initially signed. The guy kept telling me to stand out in the 95 degree weather while she had been printing my records. I’m quite sensitive to heating so that I could have really well fainted waiting out in the warmth for my own documents. It was not like I had been standing in their workplace for no reason, I was only waiting for my own files.

Since the girl is printing out of my papers, the guy gets up out of his chair, is significantly less than an arms distance away from me and slams open the door and begins yelling at me to escape. He had been yelling at me in a different speech and the only sentence he had been saying in English was BLACK with these disgust in his tone and face. This guy officially looked as if he was about to strike me, so I called the authorities as well because it was now a security issue. I even told him that he seemed as if he was going to strike me. I officially cried at the vehicle simply because not only was that I believed that a guy was likely to physically hurt mepersonally, but I was racially discriminated against, mentioning my BLACKNESS.

My stuff didn’t come that after Friday or Monday, but rather on Friday the 13TH. Delivery went easily, regardless of the delivery guy’s horrible body odor that remained in my flat long after he abandoned. We gave the organization a chance to create this absolutely horrible situation full of awful communication and RACISM directly by knocking down the price a little. They automatically said no, and so we paid the complete amount despite each of the challenges and hardships that my loved ones and I had been put through by this organization’s bad business methods. It was very obvious that all they care about is that your money and they do not care about customer service or expertise. And African Americans, take your money elsewhere, since there’s an openly racist person working at the workplace. Please don’t use this support, unless you enjoy being cared for and handled badly.

Incredible and dreadful experience. They broke my glass table however they don’t cover or provide me the insurance policy form to assert. Try several occasions. No replies. They attempt to over charge you by being late so that you must pay extra false unloading and loading. Beaware search for a different corporation.
