Peter Ferraro Moving & Storage

We had been downsizing from a 4000 sf home to a about 2/3 the dimensions. Ferraro’s group of 6 guys was quite soft-spoken and capable, disassembling, moving, and reassembling a great deal of furniture, in addition to lots of the typical dwelling contents. No harm, no scrapes, 8+ hour proceed. It was notable, and I will need to provide the full five stars.

WORST experience I have had with movers in 20 YEARS!!! To put matters into perspective, I have lived in 4 states and seven nations and have coped with more than a dozen moving businesses through recent years. In regards to customer service, this firm was dreadful. They showed up mentioning that they had been short staffed for the movement (among the workers called outside ), so I volunteered to assist them. Following both men (they were nice men ) began moving our furniture a third man on the truck began berating me stating that we had been benefiting from what was being transferred? Mind you, I did not even meet this man yet and he began crying. Taken aback I advised him that when I had been taking advantage I would not be volunteering to assist his team move my very own furniture that I’m paying them for! Then he screamed at me and explained I do not have to aid them and then proceeded to berate me. Turned out he had a poor experience in an earlier move before December and has been lashing out in me. I advised him whatever is not agreed with about the things not being transferred I will take them off the truck (and so I transferred things that his team put in their truck and transferred off them myself). After that he calls the mind proprietor and then gives me the telephone, who afterward the mind owner begins being condescending and berates me about”things being added into the transfer .” Not once did they acknowledge that they had been at the wrong, their secretary did not communicate with us properly (apparently we were supposed to find an email confirmation on things being transferred?) . Additionally, nobody took the opportunity to really hear us, rather they mechanically blamed us and lashed out since they were already frustrated with a different customer. It’s really unfortunate that they ran business like that. Both gentlemen which were really doing the moving were very kind but the owner and his son believed they were doing us a”favor” if we were really paying for a ceremony. The 1 star is for the 2 movers that worked hard and deservedly got a suggestion. Following this experience I won’t ever use them again and will tell all of my own clients to discover a business that has more professionalism in order that they won’t ever go through what I went through. Because they have a nice record review shrewd, perhaps it was a lousy day for them but they had every chance to flip it around and decided not to. Hence this particular review. Small town firm with a significant city ego. Beware.
