    Long-distance move from Maryland
    I Am Furious.

I have ripped off. The quotation was 471.00. Ended up paying a shocking 922.00. I had been told up front that it’d be additional for substances like moving pads ($7 per cent ), which many moving companies don’t charge for. And TAPE: $6 per roster. The charging form they use doesn’t itemize the substances that the movers utilize, so the head mover man (“David”) put at a whopping $160. My items have been well-packed, all boxed up, but for the sofa, dresser, two bookcases, and a lot of other big products. When I called to inquire about the fees, the customer service girl (“Edva”) was less than friendly today that she had pocketed my cash. She stated that the $160 was not that much in comparison to the majority of customers’ packaging material fees. Well, I requested her to read off the substances that went to the 160. Among these were a photo box for 19.99, which I definitely never watched, asked for, or consented to, along with a box ceiling, anything it is, for $23. I said OK, anything, but I never watched those items. (I also never requested for the sofa to be shrink wrapped or to allow them to utilize and tape moving pads into a range of my big products.)  She stated that they trusted David, the mind mover’s, word. Ha. Well, I moved into a home that has two quite thin staircases, which a good deal of my furniture would not match. Two things I did not need to associate with, my bookcase and dresser, David stated might be dis-assembled and re-assembled, but”it is gonna price you.” Just how much more, I inquired. $120, he said. I requested it it would just be another $120, no hidden fees, nothing else? He explained. And guess what. As it came time to repay, he had added in the additional time it took to take apart and put back with the batter and bookcase (which I might add, come out of Target – they are not antiques which are complex to build. I put together both myself) AND desired $120 for themself in cash as well as this. He said that the cash for the excess time would all go to the business, not one for him. I didn’t have $120 in money, so that I took down his entire name and address and said I would send him a test once I got paid next. After the movers left, I discovered that the dresser and bookcase were not put back together properly. Two of those 5 dresser drawers are unusable, and you may see the way the bottom is falling apart. Same with all the bookcase. I named the company to state I did not think I need to have to pay for support I did not get (getting my items constructed so that they can function since they’re supposed to), and they stated that they would have among the guys come out and properly assemble my mind and bookcase. Edva also stated that their movers aren’t supposed to solicit cash over and beyond their commission and also some suggestions they get, and appeared mad that David would do so. (She said that I put a damper on her afternoon for letting her understand that he did, also, which is totally unprofessional.) She stated that she would speak with the business supervisor and”get David’s side of the story” and call me back from the following day at the latest. Do not hear back. A week went by. I delivered an additional email to the firm, stating I wished to talk with the proprietor, that I was really disappointed in their solutions, and could not think nobody was back to me in a week’s time. I tell them that if I did not hear back from them in 24 hours, then I would take actions. I received an email back from Edva stating”we’ll send someone into your home to repair the furniture tonight.” Are you serious? That is their idea of reacting? And I could not be in the home that night; I’d plans using an old buddy who had been in town from New York. I had been going to respond when David called me and said he would be at my home within one hour and a half. I told him I could not do this and that the overall practice is to create appointments for these types of things. And I am not sure I need him and his ineptitude and scamming about me again anyway. It is sort of amazing to me that he still has a job when he violated company policy in soliciting $120 out of me. (I am convinced he whined about it; interestingly, however , I read off the speech he gave me to send the test into Edva, who affirmed that that is actually his speech.) Anyhow – a lot of unprofessional, dishonest cheats and a lot of hidden fees. I can only hope that others will see that rather than utilize this dreadful company.

    Long-distance move from Virginia
Wish I read the reviews before hireing One Nation

This is the worst experience of my entire life.  My husband and I hired a moving company for a part of head and we have a nightmare.  I’m still shaken.  Not only are they professional scammers, but they’re also callous.  After 10 hours after also a charge of nearly $2,000 to get a task quoted for four hours for a total of $471.00, I had been left at 11pm with a couch in the lobby of my apartment complex, since I refused to pay a second $500, along with what I was already paying, to receive my couch up the stairs, since it wouldn’t fit in the elevator.  After agreeing with my apartment complex, they enabled us to leave the couch in the hallway immediately.  My husband and his buddies moved the couch the following morning.  It took them 20 minutes.
I talked with Edva this morning that said that it wasn’t her job to acquire elevator and furniture measurements beforehand, and I was given a quote immediately, so why was I so angry?  I had been given the quotation at 10pm when no additional choices were available.  That is extortion.  Fortunately, I’ve got a husband that has friends that arrived the following day.  Some others Wouldn’t be as lucky and could be stuck paying the extra $500 in Addition to a bill which has been already three times greater than they ever expected to cover.   So yes, I’m upset, really upset, and that I wish I’d have used my buddies with this movement rather than compensated for a moving business.  I’d have saved a great deal of time, anxiety, and cash.  Who ever heard of it requiring ten hours to proceed a 1 bedroom flat of things???

    Great moving experience

I moved last weekend with a single country dc movers plus they have been professional, honest, and conveyed very well during the whole procedure. Edva, the girl I reserved the move with was quite enlightening (advised me about most of fees prior to the movement ) and super friendly! I made certain I knew what I was definitely going to be paying for, which didn’t incorporate any hidden charges. The workmen were effective and very courteous and the manager (david). I urge one country dc movers to all of my family and friends!! Very delighted.

    Great company

I really enjoy those guys. They’re just, great ppl. They came on time and also did the packaging very quickly and in a organized fashion. To anybody reading my review – I would strongly advise that you call these men should you will need to relocate in VA..

Additionally, and possibly for the very first time ever, the cost that has been agreed on remained as we consented! All I am very satisfied in the ceremony.

    Rip off

They have been late as the”truck broke down”.  But that is the least of the concerns – be ready to pay double the”projected” amount.  Plenty of hidden fees – incidentally, be ready to cover cash/check just, despite the fact that your credit card is on file.  Another surprise which you simply learn about on your daily!  Along with the last invoice is only going to be introduced after the project is completed with fees such as: a roll of tape 6, a shifting pad 7, that is sold with $500 on average for several of the wrap supplies.  Thus, $99/hour will probably wind up costing you over $200/hour.

    Long-distance move from Frederick, MD
    Managements unfair pricing

This began as a nice experience and turned expensive. We had a transfer for myself along with another move for the daughter and granddaughter. I believed one pickup, two deliveries. Alan, that did the quotation indicated dividing it into two deliveries on different days. I informed him I had been attempting to prevent the 1 hour traveling time minimum at $169.00. He said they’d remove one of their travel fees. Ok, excellent. They offered me $516 on mine that is their minimal 3hr charge. Buried in the fine print is a 8 percent fuel surcharge! That is 8 percent of their overall charges. My move went just as intended at just 3 hrs, good! My kid’s movement, not so nicely. They could not fit everything in to the truck so had to make another trip. That is when it got awful. Alan, who’s apparently some sort of supervisor, would be the man or woman who arrived at my home and did a comprehensive inventory of all items and supplied the quotation. I’d have expected much more precision. As soon as I phoned him to raise the problem of another excursion he promptly began making excuses and explained he explained he did not think that it would match. This was an outright lie. I informed him I did not believe we should need to pay any extra travel charges. He got really indignant and impolite. I wasn’t able to convince him to make some alterations to the invoice. The transfer cost 50 percent more than mentioned. The moving team themselves were excellent. They have been hard working and considerate. However, it seemed like another firm. On Time Transferring or anything like this. It had been the quoting inaccurately and unprofessionalism of Alan which compelled me to write this review.
