My moving experience with Ocean Moving and Storage was a complete nightmare.

My movement went from Winter Park, FL into Manhattan, NY. Victor Gaslow contacted me about a month before my move after I had submitted an internet petition for a moving business. Victor spoke confidently of his firm. He gave me an over the phone quote because of the transfer of $1200 predicated on the sum of furniture which I possessed and also an estimate of the number of boxes I would have. I’d be paying half at pickup and half at shipping. Despite my better judgment I immediately jumped at the deal since it was significantly less than half of what another firm offered. I told Victor that I was not sure of precisely how many boxes I would be moving. He advised me that I could call him at any time to record less or more things and he would correct the quotation for me.

About a week ahead of the transfer I called Victor to notify him that I’d have a couple more boxes than we’d initially anticipated. Now I was completely aware that my cost was probably going to be greater than the quotation.

On June 23rd the movers showed up. You will find three of these complete. Joe appeared to be in control of the pricing and paperwork. Joe advised me that the cost was likely to be greater than the quotation. I advised him that I guessed it’d be. He was not able to give me even a ballpark quote when requested. After about half of my possessions were on the truck that he eventually broke the news I would be paying about $2500 for the transfer! I was shocked. Not only was half of my things already in their truck, but also the sensation of being shanghaied was starting to sink in.

I had been immobilized. Half my stuff had been around the truck and due to the way that it was to my transfer out date I’d no option but to consent to this pricing – and they understood it. After what was said and completed my movement came out to about $2600! Another thing that I was never educated about was the fact that they were also charging to the packaging supplies such as the tape that they were employing to every one of my boxes quite liberally. Obviously, the contract said that I consented to understanding about the expense of packaging materials, but studying it about the actual contract itself was the very first time I’d been educated about it.

I spent two weeks sleeping on a floor with no possessions out of what I packed in my bag and the full experience cost me over double my quote. I know the way that they billed based on how much space you take up on the vehicle, but they can easily be more accurate in their quotes. Joe, one of my own pickup movers, even stated,”nobody ever pays exactly what they believe that they need to for this particular”. My thoughts precisely, Joe.

From beginning to end it was a dreadful experience. The pickup was extremely ancient. The quotation was off so that I needed to leave behind things. The movers were disgusting in appearance. Very difficult to comprehend. I hope this can be useful to you in choosing NEVER to utilize Ocean Moving and Storage.

I used this business to move since they seemed to provide a greater rate. From the minute they picked up our shipping premature in ny. Things started becoming shady. I recently hired Ocean Transferring for my own long distance move into Texas.After recieving roughly 10 calls I felt familiar with my representative, their reviews were quite great and best of all of the cost was in my funding. I paid for a complete 26ft truck distinctive usage for my 3 bedroom home. I had been given a predetermined speed which did NOT alter, fast shipping with just dresser scratched and above all I’d segguest this business to any household attempting to find a reputabe inspector in such difficult times. I jumped from Florida to Georgia a couple weeks back and I am quite content to have picked this corporation. Amazing company, honest and hard employees, and cheap without any surprises. Thank you!

Inferior firm. Please don’t even bother to utilize this organization. Victor gram will fool you with his amazing customer support at first, and as soon as the movers appear the nightmare will start. The quoted price will probably evaporate into thin air, and they’ll provide you a ridiculous fresh cost. The movers will harm your furniture and you’ll be ticked off throughout the whole experience. A nightmare from pickup to delivery. . .Anyone thinking about employing this business I would recommend you read about my experience…I’d this business move me out of Naples Florida into the Boston region. The sales man I mostly dealt with was Sal. I had been operating with a budget, and so I attempted to take just the things I wanted. I told Sal that the tractors my transfer could be minimum. I’d be shifting 13 moderate size boxes, two casual tables using little Glass Cabinets, a Coffee Table that also had two little glass shirts, along with a King Size Bed. I advised Sal that there was an opportunity I might have to add on a couple more boxes . however, it wouldn’t be by much and had been told that would not be a issue and that it would just add on a couple bucks more. Sal lent me a price of $970 Door to Door. Yeah Right! The movers arrived three hours late which was just the start of the issue. When the two movers eventually came the man who had been accountable”MIKE” told me that he wanted to cover the bill. A fast glimpse by Mike in the things I had been to have transferred and I had been told that the cost was now $1575. I inquired why the cost had gone up and had been advised that the issue had been with my own end tables and coffee tables. I asked why and was informed that when I looked carefully in the statement, the statement said”two Glass upper end tables and a Glass top coffee desk” which meant just the glass shirts must be picked up. . .Not the true end tables or coffee table. I nearly dropped. After negotiating over the cost for one hour that the driver advised me that he would lower the cost to $1300 but that I would”HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF HIM AND HIS HELPER WITH A TIP”…I told the movers I’d give them 60 and has been told $60 was not worth them losing their jobs. . .In the End that I needed to give them $100 EACH. . .Which in case you did rapid mathematics worked out to only about precisely the exact same cost. I recently transferred my things out of GA to OH for this particular scam laden company named Ocean Moving and Storage. Travesty by the Beginning!!!! I attempted to provide this business a month to reveal even the smallest bit of ethics to reunite my lost things. Back in Florida, the motorist came extremely early again, yet this time ALONE, without a help. He asked him where another movers were, and that he explained that in NC he used illegal employees that he discovered sitting out of Lowes/Home Depot (which seemingly is regular practice each the motorist ), which he travelled about Tampa that afternoon but could not find anybody to work because it had been a Sunday (ironic, since Shawn repeatedly said that they employ licensed trained professionals). Every time I called they stated that they could not locate my boxes, or they’d let me phone back, they’d place me to hold for long intervals, or simply blatantly hang me up. I had been always shouted at by somebody called Sal who was quite impolite and impatient when I’d ask if they discovered my own boxes. I really don’t know how two quite large boxes which were really and memorably heavy might only disappear without anybody taking note, so this business won’t place any extra energy or time to locate it. Rather they drag me during the distress of always calling and fretting about dropping the various publications, notes, and paperwork I have placed many years of effort into. All these things are valuable and irreplaceable for me and I’ll do anything is needed to get this solved and also have them returned.

My transfer was from NC to NJ and the shipping wasn’t as easy as I believed. Need lots of patience and follow-up to hold.

Although my transfer had a couple of damages, my principal concern was that the unnecessary strain they produce through pickup and delivery equally.

Receive a business which comes to your house and provides a quote once they look at everything you’ve got.

Ocean Moving and Storage is the basic two confronted moving business. They fly around you like vultures and set up a front to receive your company then treat you like crap if they dont get their way. In my experience using Regie, the next I advised him that I went with the other moving company I had been wrapped up on. In a means that made me even more happy I did not go together. I hired sea storage and moving for my transfer out of Boston to Ft.Lauderdale. I’d rate them a zero when potential and want I understood they had a much better business bureau score of the F  (look this up!) Prior to going together. Thats my overview….Here’s my comprehensive experience:  I obtained a quotation of 2.99 percent ft. I occurred to called again and talked to Reg who assured me that he couldn’t move lower than 3.00 per cubic Valley same business, 2 distinct prices in quotations to the exact products. The supervisor needed to reconcile the issue (by providing me the greater speed ). Their contract states no hidden prices… Read carefully. After we phoned Jessica, she stated she no longer had access to the accountant, so her job was to market, and she’d done this. She falt-out whined about if it could be delivered along with the expense of this move. When we attempted to speak to the dispatcher, he had been incredibly rude. Additionally, half of the entire amount needed to be compensated in money, that was news to people when Oren  explained that (Jessica, when requested, stated she didn’t have any clue the way the financing worked – maybe not her occupation ).
When they came, this was a catalyst at an unmarked 18-wheeler (it was an undercover moving van, however, that’d used black spray paint to take out the title ) and also two 100-pound pupils from Kazakstan who had moved anything earlier. While they were fine, they didn’t have any clue what to do, but at least there was minimum annoyance. No bullying with this conclusion. Boxes were pretty much ruined, and there have been several broken plastic containers, but at least everything was there. They did attempted to inform us that they would have to employ a more compact truck to transfer stuff into the flat, however we told them no, and that thought faded fast. In addition they showed up without the resources to place furniture back together (some thing Oren had stated that they would”naturally” perform ), but fortunately , we had a few resources, also, as they were nice children , they set it all back together. Truly, however, after all of the hassle on front, we felt quite lucky on the rear end, everything considered.
There’s a reason that  everyone is so negative with this organization and that their better  business bureau quality is an F. Just like we mentioned, it is a scam with plenty of untraceable money involved. Lord help you in case you proceed together.

I gave the record of all my things and they gave an estimate of $1800 with complete packaging included. The man arrived and midway of proceeding it’ll be 75 percent greater than what was quoted. I approved it as I had to vacate the flat. He then added packing fees and stated that what I had been told wasn’t the way it functions, they constantly reestimate the packaging. They then charged elevator charges and long haul a– yet another 200.
When the truck has been loaded, the sales man Shawn, does not wan’t to speak. He rudely forward it into dispatch, that are more impolite. I had been told I’ll find the items in 3 days, so it required just two weeks. Eventually he arrives late and instantly charges me again for lift and long haul that was not a truly very long haul. He’d not even unload till I cover him.
This is the worst part, the sole real glass thing I’ve had was a glass desk top, it had been chipped. I was a book shelf and I kept on asking where it had been and he said it’s indoors, after I gave him the cash , he tells me to get dispatch as he does not understand where it’s. As I write this I’m still attempting to use insurance and dispatch.
The quotation began at $1500, they included complete packaging for about $300 and I said yes, the packaging itself was $650. I wound up paying $3100 at the end using a busted glass shirt ($700) and dropped book instance ($150). I am able to go on and on, but will finish here, beware of the people.

I can not stress that enough- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They’re the most picky rip-off movers. They wil provide you with a quote and then upcharge you on each and every item (Yes Jessica I understand you’re only hoping to close a bargain and scam the customer )-even these items they have already contained from the first enjoy stairs and lifts. In my scenario the quote went from $1277 to 1666 without as much as a heads up by the business. The delivery guys (subcontractors who’ll let you know from this gate”I do not do the job for Ocean”) literally informed me he’d confirm that I upgraded my stock and phone me back,he didn’t. He did however discover that it’s fine to bill me $180 to get”materials-tape, blankets which are assumed to be supplied throughout the contract”, stairs-$175 if my quote clearly says that there are three floors. They even charged me twice for the very first flight stating it is equivalent to two sets which to my knowledge have been included on the quote (since I could view them in my mail ) in addition to elevator fees which are also recorded on the quote however they will say that the true amount was not included. In addition, he abandoned the remnants of these substances thrown onto the ground together with water bottles which were for my own family that had been cleaning the area. He packed my things up and provides my household the invoices with a fresh equilibrium 400 greater than that which was from the contract. You telephone the office and guess what- nobody wishes to speak to you. They will even attempt to convince one that the excess money they have billed is actually valid. They didn’t supply an estimated delivery date so of course I receive the telephone less than 24 hours before stating the shipping window is currently non-negotiable. The way this can be my fault, I will never understand. These people are scum. I phoned and talked to some Lora who first told me to get my leasing office guarantee that her mover would not receive a ticket-this was completed and her reply was nicely you owe us another $75 since we did not bill you to the lift (but it is recorded on the estimate.right…). She then proceeds to inform me that because the motorist”seems” that he”can” harm his truck he’s needing to transfer it. These people stood out my building for a hour maybe not doing anything such as not talking about the me(the customer ) about what exactly was happening. Lora subsequently lies to me also states that the leasing office told me that it was not feasible to maneuver the truck once I sat right next to him and listened to him tell her the specific opposite. She begins adding on extra fees and demanding money for all these services which are not even needed. I must say that this has been the worst case situation fo relocating. These folks only care for money and don’t understand what customer support and intergrity are. I would not recommend this business to anybody. PLEASE TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! Ocean Moving and Storage stinks to high hell. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND CARE NOTHING ABOUT DOING IT.

I’m totally and completely dissatisfied with each facet of support given via this firm with my transfer away from Florida to North Carolina.  They informed that all movers are all screened and employed right by your business.  The movers who picked up my things at Florida were really subcontractors that came in a Ryder truck.  Upon asking identification, the motorist refused and proceeded to turn into aggressive and belligerent.  The problem escalated to no fix at which time I called a native Sheriff. 

The second problem arose when the pickup motorist advised that I could purchase a personal credit or debit card.  Since I opted to pay using a personal test, the manager said they wouldn’t have the ability to send my furniture before it removed.  Though I named the lender who confirmed the test cleared, the manager wasn’t pleased and the entire situation was a wreck.  The delivery driver called Many times saying that he Won’t send my furniture, even when the manager and I’d solved the difficulty.   Essentially, this firm lacked effective communication which led to unnecessary conflict and anxiety.

The next problem is using the broken items upon shipping.  The shipping drivers were also subcontractors and also had the audacity to ask the company I had been using.  I expect having similar problems with your employer hoping to solve the problem with damages as a result of simple fact that the pick-up motorist insisted I sign clean paperwork before him moving my things.  This resulted in inaccurate representations of harms to your own furniture.  My furniture is brand new and doesn’t have some of those suggested damages. 

In general, the absence of professionalism exhibited by this firm during my movement is gruesome.  Additionally, this provider’s prices for moving aren’t any less costly than many others, particularly considering that their lack of skilled support.

I recently moved from Florida to New York a month with sea storage & moving. The company was great to work together punctually, & specialist. My delivery was earlier than anticipated and also my furniture arrived in 1 piece! Sal was my sales rep and that he had been with me the whole time. Thank you for all of your help in those challenging times!

Beware of the unethical company!!! The sales rep originally quoted me $900 for a 600 mile movement. As soon as they came they doubled the cost stating that my sofas were too big (my sofas are tiny and cheap ). The sales rep also told me completely different advice than the movers and mind man was a rude douche bag. “Dispatch” was full of over a couple of idiots and they that no true reason for increasing the cost. The way the pc could valuate my sofas at half of the normal size of a normal sofa set is beyond me! This is the organization that you desire if you would like to get lied to, disrespected, and in the event that you want to squander sun your of your time! I typically don’t take my time to do reviews but I will take my own time to take action on every site I can to be able to permit other people to learn from my errors. If I could I’d rate them less than 0 celebrities.

Customer satisfaction isn’t that companys leading priority! The date of the shipping shifted out of a Saturday, into some”possibly” Monday or Tuesday, to Wednesday. It’s now Thursday and I’m still awaiting my possessions to be sent. Never use this business if it can be prevented, it is going to help save you a lot of stress and plenty of sleep!

Was initially provided a quote of $1500. This was to package (two sofas, a china cabinet and clock just, everything else was packed already), shop things for 30 days and send and unload in TN. Pick up in FL has been TWO times LATE. It was the final day to escape and they turned about and said the cost would be greater. I argued with them about it, but had no option except to cover as it had been the previous day and that I had no other alternative. The loading sounded fine. Everything was packaged and wrapped in lovely arrangement and was fantastic. When the truck came in TN a month after it was almost dark out and they had been unloading until 1 am.  The electrical wasn’t available in our new residence. Fortunately we had a generator we can borrow from household to power a few lights.  Everything in the vehicle seemed like it was thrown in. They opened the rear door and things were falling outside. Matters broken were glass products, organ, outside tables, tool chest, deep chest, barbecue, parts were missing out of the grandfather clock and the side panel has been broken. Furniture looked like somebody used it for a month. The mattresses were filthy and a 3000 mattress was wrapped up from this plastic and filthy like it had been utilized. This transfer cost us over $5500 plus they wouldn’t provide our things till we paid. If you’d like a hassle free transfer do NOT use this organization. Our movement was a entire fiasco. We never did receive any sort of satisfaction having an insurance claim either. AWFUL experience. 1 photograph included is exactly what it seemed like once they opened the doorway once the truck arrived at our new home. Another reveals the tool box bottom with one wheel missing yet another nearly broken off and laying on it’s side. It was a mess. Drawers stuck and jammed, tools sprinkled, etc.. Oh too, simply to mention, when they packaged all in FL there were 6 men. When they came in TN it had been just two men with having an unmarked old trailer and truck along with both men were driving directly from FL.  If you’re thinking about working with this particular plumber, please do not.  Save yourself the frustration and trouble. They estimate very low prices to get the task and then stick it to you afterwards for much more money and they do a terrible job. May also select a better Well-known mover and understand just how much it’ll cost you up front.

Amazing and stress free support.  My items have been in a storage device and being hauled to a storage device in Texas.  Since I was not able to be there to officiate the move, I needed to do all of my communicating thru email and phone.  Everything worked perfect in the storage device taking good care of clipping the locks into the moving business loading everything without us being there.  Very professional, friendly and maintained in communicating throughout the trip.  Arrival was punctually.  So happy and should I move long distance again, this is who I shall utilize.  Love you guys!  Thank you!!!!

Moved from Boston into tampa, I had two bedrooms having an office.   All went well and that I was really happy, delivery was ancient. Powerful business, I received calls from a number of different businesses but  the prices were quite fair with Ocean Moving and Storage and much furthermore , they got the work done quickly and created my own experience smooth and simple, would definately recommend.

We transferred from Florida to Arizona March 2012.  It has taken me so long to calm down on it to critique it.  The first quote was for about $1500.  When they arrived to load the truck up, they packaged and wrapped items they did not need to and also charged us each roll of packaging tape.  From the time they came at Arizona, per week late, we were already over them.  The driver refused to attract the truck to the complicated to float.  They, rather, took the truck into a Uhaul location, leased a bigger truck and packed our possessions on to it and sent it to us like that.  They billed us $800 to do this!  CASH ONLY!  This was a Sunday and no more banks have been available.  We did draw half of that and they reluctantly charged another half on the charge card.  These men are scam artists.  They maintain your freight to ransom.  I wish I’d have read the reviews before I chose them out.  It is alright though, we shipped the IRS that an I9 form for your CASH ONLY they obtained from us.  They had to assert it.  DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

HONESTLY THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE A STAR.
I had been quoted on 3/2/13 $1140 having a deposit of $430 bucks. Were told half of remaining balance due to pickup along with other half because of delivery. The beginning was that the pickup motorists were LATE. They also NEVER called us we had to phone and see if they were still coming. The motorist known as 2 hours prior to coming. Once they walked in I can tell it was going to be more difficulties. They were searching to get ANYTHING to earn additional cash. In my first quote I had been told 1140 to get a sofa, recliner, 1 blouse, king mattress and boxspring set. Along with 25 boxes. Well lets begin we had all of the huge items as mentioned in quotation but we ONLY’d 20 boxes. NOTHING extra really less. SO they stated it’d be somewhat more our cost went around $1300. What would people do it had been less than 24 hours and we had been going across state NO OTHER OPTIONS> The man proved so slow that they keep sitting around and discussing. IT took them over 2 hours to maneuver these small matters. Subsequently the hassle of these substance NOT departing florida. FInally it did people were advised it’d be here between Friday and Sunday. WHERE we spoke with the office team NUMEROUS times allowing them know we had atleast 24 hours ahead of time so we can find a moving license within our construction. Oh how fine they were. Til it had been brought up on how we’ve been bs’d round the entire time around our items along with the office staff is really rude that we had been known as liers and what else.  Spoke with the motorist 48 hours beforehand since we needed to call manager nobody called us yet again. We had been told Sunday day we just requested morning. We have been told it wasn’t any matter. Saturday at 9:20pm we had been called by somebody else who had been with the motorist to receive our specific address because our advice was at the vehicle. I gave it to him that he said okay im going to google map your speech and phone you back in 15 minutes. Well right then I knew it was likely to become a problem. I recieved a phone back at 11 pm inform me that they couldn’t bring my items that I had to go rent a uhual at the afternoon and they’d subsequently move my items OH I’d need to pay them a little fee. I dialogue turned ugly.  I predicted back in the afternoon to not getting my phone answered if he did he once again whined said he’d call back in 30 minutes 3 hours went by and I needed to phone him back. I told him when I will lease a uhual im not paying to allow these to transfer my items we’d. However he can receive his own truck and move our items. Everytime I’d say we needed our items moved by these we didnt need to do it ourselves he would rang in cost charge from $350-$500 bucks. HOWEVER I’d read my contract which it had been a $1 percent feet for shuttle support. We’d 216 cubic feet however there was a 300 min. So I understood thats all that I would need to pay. So eventually after a thousand explanations we argeed into monday and he obtained a local organization to move our items in. So rather than 1140 we ended up spending $1600.   The depressing thing is that the local moving business was fantastic in and out with 30 minutes to 45 minutes. I might reuse them.  BUT OCEAN MOVERS I WOULD NEVER USE THEM OR EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND WILL FIND ANYWAY TO CHARGE EXTRA MONEY.

I just jumped from NY to Orlando Fl. This is my first time working with a moving business. I must mention that, by the start the employees were professional, they had been on time and was quite clear just how much money I’d pay (half afterward and another half of Orlando). I had been most impress that they sent my furniture to the date I advised them to send, they had been on time and was really organized. I will like to thank Sal because of his or her help. My name is Cheryl and I recently had a transfer from ft lauderdale,fl into benton,il and chose to go with sea storage & moving. The company was very useful in regards to receiving my quotation and as soon as the movers arrived they all looked really professional and all in uniform that I enjoyed. I was prepared when they arrived because they allow me know in advance what I had to get ready in my part that made it alot less stressful as it was all done I was pleased to obtain all of my items punctually in my new location and the last price I was delighted with since I needed a couple of boxes I overlooked on my listing along with the cost went up in the quotation a resonable number about 25 or 30 bucks. I’d suggest them to other people seeking to proceed, I was quite delighted.

I had been treated decently when creating my very first call to sea moving! Then the remainder went downhill! They arrived to load their first car truck. But after it had been loaded they needed $150 more bucks ahead of the truck could depart! I contended with them, but to no avail! I agreed to cover the extra funds on delivery. . .In money (which they needed )!! It had been explained to me that this wasn’t the truck which will deliver my items! There could be a different float, and reload on a separate truck to your long distance transfer! This really troubled me since it eased a larger prospect of stuff being ruined. . .And they had been! The delivery men came while I was in the bank getting the money to provide them money as mentioned earlier! As soon as I left they hadn’t arrived yet, but once I got back they had been there standing in their truck (together with my wife near these ). . .They had refused to begin unloading without getting the money first!! Following the unload, I called the first sales man, and inquired why I had been billed extra cash, and what could they do to address the harm issue! He promised to call me back after he researched the difficulties! Our items were delivered on may 29th, and now is June 20th. . .They have yet to return my telephone call, and likely won’t after such a very long time! I believe they listened to me only to have the deal, and then the hell with my criticism difficulties! I believe that they are a dishonest business with dishonest workers, and reflect the smallest of ethics one of their opponents! I would never employ them again, and that I really urge the viewers of the review to go everywhere with your moving needs!!

I had been totally apprehensive about this movement after studying a few of the testimonials from lots of the movers who contacted me like some of the very well known businesses and such as Ocean.  You will find good and bad out of so and all I needed to go with my belly and my beliefs in deciding on who’d transfer my 94 yr. Old mom from Fort Myers, Fl. Into Ohio.  After speaking with Roman, the agent in Ocean Moving & Storage, I chose to talk along with his Co. telling me I had nothing to go with but his sentence.  I wasn’t disappointed with some part of this movement and felt that they met their contract for me.  In the pick from the furniture into your delivery, the guys were respectful, professional, and ready to aid in any way they can.  I think that the 2 guys who sent the furniture moved over and beyond that which was ordinary to be able to adapt an extremely tough position in Ohio because of street building and area of the centre where the shipping had been made.  I invite Ocean Moving & Storage for rotation what I anticipated to become a nightmare into a pleasant encounter.  Any extra fees to the initial quote were fair due to things that I did not do correctly and unforseen conditions. My fiancé and I needed to move out of MA to NC onto a fairly brief period (under a month) and also the fact that this moving business was willing and came back into the table with a reasonable quotation had us re working on this particular company *more on it to come.

We had a young woman who helped us throughout the procedure called Maya, who for as much as we can tell was totally competence and fair; she played a massive roll is each problem we ran into and whole heartedly tried and tried to help mend problems.

We needed a itemized list of our possessions that we moved room to room collecting while on the telephone with Maya to receive our first quote of $975 (their minimal ) We’d already packed all of our items into boxes and shattered down some big furniture simply to streamline the procedure. Yay!

This afternoon I got in contact Maya to place a deposit down 10% of the entire quotation (we had an elevator so that it climbed $75.) I faxed over my bill authorization and they contacted me that they next moment.

They had problems with my card being repeatedly declined. Following a day playing telephone tag and re-submitting my card numbers, calling my lender (who reported no signs or diminished notices) filing my backup charge card, again being”dropped” I told Maya that if they could not figure out this I would need to instantly end our relationship and I would rush for a different moving company(we’re currently in the 1 1/2 week markers out of our transfer ) she placed me into direct contact with the supervisor –seemingly accounting had any issue that they could not figure out; the supervisor managed to conduct my very first card without any problems instantly.

This all took Around two months to finally nail down that finished just under week prior to the real pickup. Super stressful.

The pickup was a nightmare–they had been program to pick up involving 12-3pm; no display and no telephone, at 4pm I phoned them and was informed that they were just finishing up and could be there in just more than a hour….two hours went by (it was supper time I guessed maybe they had to stop for meals ( no difficulty ) I ended up phoning them again at 7:30pm, following a jog around of client support phoning dispatch, dispatch phoning the motorist, direction calling everybody, and ultimately the client whose home they had been running late at eventually calling dispatch (the transferring team had closed off their mobile phone) I had been told they’d be there by 9pm. They showed up minutes before 9pm; nearly punctually…6 hours late on the long side of this program,9 hours late had I anticipated punctuality.

The team was composed of 3 gentlemen that were very open about their restricted or even un-dedicated employment to Ocean Moving and Storage. The lead/driver had 3 months together with the firm was the only one really employed by Ocean along with another two were”sub-contracted” one’d completed another job with all the motorist Alan and another man had only done this afternoon together.

They came upstairs with me to”step” the walk type the truck into my flat and had to use the restrooms, charge their telephones, have something to drink (all of which I know.) Seconds later Alan and myself began to cover the paperwork–nearly instantly Alan stated that the quote was all wrong and the”idiots” that have it to me knew nothing of how much space it would take at the vehicle (head you again I already have everything broken down, boxes, recorded, bound and ready to move ) and the price started to climb….double to begin with only at the distance needs on the vehicle, and of course that the”dimensions”

Then came the interesting things –Alan begins to”ripped” by describing how much work him a his men did and that any surcharges move right to the organization and they’re not one of it–at this stage I am still moving together, not joyful yet do not have a lot of option. Alan breaks down the bill with all”surcharges” to just under $3000….again mind you that this was out of a quotation if $975. Promptly after this”excuse” I say my disdain for those clinics (very well as I am going to give the majority of my possessions to those men ) and Alan”cuts me a bargain” and he’ll settle beneath the dining table to get $200 to maintain”everything except that the truck spacing wants off the bill” so” saving me cash.” I paid it, not much option at 10pm the night before going 800 miles south.

They have been performed by 1am–created a mess, engineered flooring, and dinged walls. Not one of that was admired by claims because of my not taking photos beforehand (pity on me anticipating skilled support.)

The shipping was easier though it was quite late–I achieved to Maya again after I understood my possessions were not any where close to the staging warehouse which Alan was carrying my items. I voiced my concerns and clarified my expertise with the moving team who took my possessions; lots of heartfelt sounding apologies were made and that I had been sent the contact information for claims along with the dispatch supervisors.

I managed to speak to another moving team who’d be bringing my items to NC–largest issue being that they’d be delivering using a 53′ tractor trailer….after being picked up with a 20′ moving truck. This was a problem that has not even been cited whereas my flats while spacious couldn’t adapt a car that big into the front door; Ocean did not even blink they stated it’d not be any issue, they’ll send a shuttle with a different surcharge of $150.

This is the breaking point for me where I threw the simple fact that I am a client who heavily depends upon inspection sites based on services provided and I would be reporting a claim into the BBB.

Here and only here did control of the business begin moving in ways which were a fantastic experience–they formally sub-contracted the supply movers (two young guys from Moldova; that I helped to unload the delivery simply to expedite the procedure and apologetically compensate for my own inability to trick following the extortion upon the pickup.) Along with not utilizing their real Ocean staff they provided to pick up any surcharges that could be incurred by having to park the 53′ trailer so far off from the entry; extended haul was the expression used, other side of this building. The surcharge could have become the equal of nearly another $1000 bucks (according to $75 each 50ft, allow me to inform you 50ft is a whole lot shorter than we all realize without quantifying.)

These men were courteous, effective and pleased to unload the truck–pity is that they did not do the job for almost any company affiliated that I was able to inform their boss how amazing they were.

There were several damaged products, dings in most of the wooden furniture and a huge gouge in my own dining room table which has been the worst of this. I said it, but did not deem the aggravation with moving through the claims also was to be worth it.

All and all it was a dreadful experience and while I did at the end have my items moved from MA to NC that I won’t ever use this business nor steer anybody towards them.

Ocean storage and moving have been a nightmare, avoid like the plague! They caused me so much unneeded strain from the MONTH they chose to arrive together with our possessions. They tried to rip us off by attempting to bill SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS on weight, but I insisted to a kitty scale weigh-in once the movers turned up, prior to and after unloading, and just ended up spending three million bucks. I guess being truthful is bad for business, huh Ocean? Well, this review is not likely to get you any favors either. Everything was piled high to the truck ceiling, with no respect to that which was labelled’delicate’. Some things was DAMAGED, other substances DESTROYED. I just got lumped with Ocean because of a Orion Van Lines agent hiring them to the job. Never again!

I havent really given this much consideration in some time but I assured”sal” I’d make certain to speak to everybody I could about Ocean storage and moving. I composed a letter earlier now to be relegated into the Florida and Massachusetts Attorneys General, Better Business Bureau in both nations as well my former congressman and my present one asking a congressional investigation into the manner that these people do business. My furniture (that the movers claimed wouldn’t match in 350 square feet since it was”tight”) is now sitting at a 10×10 storage cubicle (unless my math is far off which could be 100 square feet) back in Jacksonville Florida. I waited all day for those movers after being told that I was”first pickup” just to have them eventually show at nearly ten PM. Four strapping black guys who may clearly have loaded my bedroom place and living room place in about an half an hour when they hadnt tried to double the purchase price on me. And then had the temerity to tell me”at least I am honest I really could have only loaded your furniture onto the truck and altered the price then” REALLY!!! Is that typical of movers nowadays!! A further caveat about the cost was”well it is the end of the month you will not ever get anybody else now” (seems like extortion) The following day I rented a van and moved all of my furniture BY MYSELF into a 10×10 storage cubicle. I told them right up front that when the cost changed by means of a buck we had been done. Avoid these people like the plague that is obviously how they can do business frequently.

I’ve a friend who informed me about Ocean Moving & Storage therefore I decided to test them out. I transferred form Fort Lauderdale into Brooklyn and the movement went great. Ontime, Professional, without any damages or additional fees! Will be using them again if I go back! Thank you Sal and also the group in Ocean Moving.

Movers showed two hours beyond their preferred 2-hour window also took their period.  3 guys on the website, a couple of which required 15 minute breaks for each 10 or so mins of job. Blatantly attempting to bring one hour or two of extra labour price.  Extremely disappointing for what’s billed.  At fall off, the unload finally took half of the time since I recognized that I as a single woman could never get those 3 to function, but with my old brother and some other people there along advocating them to operate continuously somehow did the trick to essentially push them to get the job done. The furniture which was to be assembled was completed wrongly, and they raced out quicker than I could even realize it.  Can`t state just one good thing, prevent these men at any cost. No matter the quotation it isn’t worthwhile!

It’s simple to find a dependable moving company around the field,but must mention OCEAN MOVING AND STORAGE has giving me personally and excelent customer support beginning when the sales man GILBERTO ROMAN in his really profesional manner introduced their sevice…☺

This was a dreadful experience. This people whined to me in the start. They gave me an stimate subsequently increased it twice. My stuff was late so I was stuck home with no need to get a few days. The man finally showed up alone so I needed to help him unload myself. They where lost two boxes and one was not even inventoried. I’d electronics from that box that I will never recover. After that I called again they said that they could not help me since I never produced a report. I was never requested to plus they new I had been awaiting my own stuff. The folks here are extremely impolite, just the salesman is fine.

I had been anticipating our relocation to be performed using Infinite Moving. I talked with Gilbert beginning a month prior to my transfer date, he gave me a quotation out of his firm, we left out our cashier’s check into the firm, but then on the afternoon of the transfer, a truck showed up with the title Ocean’s Moving, which Gilbert never left any mention of, that it would be a different moving company supplying the services. I requested one of those moving men if they had been a part of Unlimited Transferring and he advised me that they had been partners together. This was the very first time I had some note that my move wasn’t likely to be carried out with UM. One reason Gilbert persuaded me to proceed with Infinite Transferring was that they weren’t like as a broker who employed external businesses. I obtained an email from UM that they would price match a lower quotation from another respectable firm provided that they were not a broker. Gilbert wouldn’t fit lower estimates I’d obtained from different businesses becuase they had been”agents”, but I feel as though in the long run, UM acted the same as a broker in my circumstance. I initially posted this review about Unlimted Transferring, and approximately 10 minutes after got a call from Tony with UM, describing that UM wasn’t the firm that did our transfer and asked that I fix that in my review. So technically that which was put up by Unlimited Transferring, but Ocean’s Moving was that the firm which performed our move.We weren’t happy with our services. When I talked with Gilbert with Unlimited Transferring, he initially explained that we can anticipate our dispatch within 3-5 days, so when we packed a bag , we just packed for 5 days to permit for our things to arrive. Our dispatch didn`t arrive till after 11 days. When I talked with the driver, he first told me that I could anticipate our shipment to arrive between Tuesday and Thursday, June 18-20, 2013. He later called and told me Thursday or Friday, then when I called again to confirm the status, ” he advised me Saturday, June 22nd, that is when everything eventually came. I wouldn’t recommend this business to anybody. We had been initially uttered around 1700 but ended up having to pay nearly $3300, largely because our furniture things were tight and”oversize”, taking up additional room at the truck and also costing more for fuel. When the movers came to load our possessions, we were provided a price list of packaging materials, such as tape, which they utilized liberally when preparing our furniture. Although we lived on the next floor, we had been charged extra for the flight of stairs since it had been over 7 steps. Additionally, once the packers were loading our objects during pickup, they didn’t take additional care of the boxes, although those marked”delicate”. When our objects were delivered, the majority of the boxes were falling apart, upside down, crushed, and a few had things falling from these. I was amazed that more things weren’t broken. The timber stain on our brand new bedroom furniture has been scraped off in numerous areas, and a lot of other things were broken. Seems just like another annoyance. Tony did provide to send us a check for $200 as a courtesy of the annoyance that was appreciated. This has been about 3 weeks ago, and we still have not got a check.

We had numerous Issues with this moving business that I am just going to emphasize the largest ones here.   1) They gave us a very low estimate which was not even close to what the real charge was. Since we hadn’t ever employed a moving company before we thought the minimal estimate simply to discover on moving day that the true cost was 100 percent MORE than we had been quoted. For some reason why you Want to inform these movers to Really transfer your stuff.   3) Customer support only numbers to them speaking down to you about the telephone, promising to call back but not doing this, and doing nothing to correct all of the problems they caused. 4) Many pieces of furniture and other things had been broken in the transfer, and that I needed to file a claim to be reimbursed with another firm (that pays $0.60/pound of your broken objects ).   The point is, expect to pay considerably more than you’re informed and be fulfilled with snarky impolite and unprofessionalism each step along the way. Locate another moving business or just move everything yourself.

Not a fantastic experience! When they arrived to pick up their belongings, they moved down the incorrect drive and drove back into the street. They explained that they would have to take the material into the path to load on the truck since they would not have the ability to make it from their driveway. The movers were both discourteous and unprofessional. The wouldn’t deliver until extra payment has been made on the place for additional stairs to scale. The contract never said anything. They ruined furniture, none but many bits. They des the walls of this building when taking furniture up the stairs. I’d advise all to not ever use this corporation.

This firm grabbed our attention by providing us a fantastic quote for our movement of roughly 1 area filled with things. $850. We believed wow fantastic thing! I wish I’d come to the site and read the reviews first because they’re totally true! They showed up in a budget rental truck to find out our belongings. I will first say, I was fairly disappointed in my own experience. To be honest, they’d take into account protecting a few of my things such as my TV and my paper totes. The disappointment is located in different things. 1) The crews neglected to phone me on pick up AND delivery that they needed to push back the days they are there. Neither team needed a hand truck that was totally shocking to me since I guess that a hand truck could be a fairly fundamental and essential part of gear to have if you are a moving business. Obviously, a number of my things were ruined. I am aware that it is dependent upon how well you package items, but when things are treated carelessly enough, things will probably get ruined no matter how long you package them. They did send my things fairly fast, but overall, I found the experience quite disappointing. I would advise anybody to keep to look around and find somebody else.

What a excellent experience, from begin to finish.  Roman was very thorough when speaking to me regarding my movement.   I asked complete packaging service for my two bedroom house plus everything was packaged very nicely.  The team was very considerate and attentive with my items and they managed my piano really attentively. Priceless!!

I just wanted to Provide a shout out to Ocean Storage and Moving! I only recently transferred from Hollywood, FL into Alexandria VA in early April. I jumped back to VA to get work. I had been contacted by a sales rep called Sal, who had been amazing! I felt confident and comfortable I was in great hands. The truck showed up on time, the movers were very considerate and took quality care of my items. They made sure everything was properly wrapped and secured in the vehicle. I strongly recommend this firm. They took care of all of the logistics. I’m quite happy with this organization and will be using them in case of a future transfer.

I had an excellent adventure moving with Ocean. This is a last minute proceed with a small shipment and also a brief window to get pick-up. Sal was beautiful to use and gave me a very competitive quote depending on the exact # of things rather than the minimal amount which other firms offered – (and so were considerably higher). Worst moving company I’ve ever used!   Movers left all their garbage and didn’t clean anything up.   They scraped my hardwood flooring and shattered a window.   I add a claim and needed proof of everthing and it was DENIED!   Over $3000 value of DAMAGE and also the payoff has been for less than 300.   Antique and strong wood furniture has been broken, so boxes had been smashed, and that which needed water damage.   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I had been moving from massachusetts into florida and the transferring experince was great I had been moving a few bedrooms plus I had no television box and a few other stuff I had to box sme stuff, and so I talked to the fellow title mr.Roman and he informed me that they supplied against the boxes along with the wrapp for your stuff I had to wrap up and above all mr Roman was quite profesianal so thank you for your help mr Roman.

This had been the worst experiance ever. They offered me a price and if they arrived to pick furniture up that the cost almost doubled. I had no option that I felt at the moment. I believe that they found I had been a girl and thet took good advantage of it. As soon as I watched the movers I had been really worried they were quite young. They seemed like they had been at least 15 or 16. I called the company and they were quite rude and stated for the cost they offered me on the telephone they’d only take half of the things. What type of buss is really does that? Really un professional and impolite. They picked up my things 5/31 and they came together with my furn two weeks afterwards. They stated it’d at least be weekly. They loaded my things at Mass in 1 truck once they came in S.C it had been just another truck. The truck that came was not even part of the provider. The driver was so rude and sexually inapproriate. He predicted some random guys to come back. When I named the business in Mass the sales rep Reggie was impolite and even shouted at me. They said they’d take place office money order nicely that change into just money. They were quite unethical and I think they had been schisters. The driver stated that he wouldn’t unload my belongings before I payed the next half of charge in money. When they drifted my furniture it was a nightmare. They ruined furn,artwork bits it had been a nightmare. Warning to individuals moving read there testimonials first. All that we have shared around there nightmares for this business is authentic. Dishonest firm who are scammers. I really don’t know how they’re nevertheless in buss. Where’s the proprietor to this organization? Shame on you.

I’m writing this review in the point of view of somebody who has never hired professional movers earlier.

DO NOT USE THEM.   I have stuck with Ocean by means of a broker. This was my first error, I did not realize I had been using a broker. My initial Estimate for that which was basically a 1bd apartment go in MN to MA was approximately $1281.    They explained that they were planning to appear on 11/6-11/7, so they would offer me 24 hr notice. Yeah, no. They phoned me while I was in the office and anticipated to satisfy me at my home on 11/5 inside a couple of hours. Fortunately, I was already packaged. I asked whether we should not wait till after they’d completed boxing my things however Dov told me that he understood exactly what he was doing and that I must quit questioning him. Turns out that I have charged an additional $50 for boxes that they never used!   They did not finish until nearly midnight, and they left crap everywhere in my flat! In addition, he forced me to using their $.60/pound insurance asserting my stuff was not valuable enough to justify real insurance. I didn’t need to battle him on that for fear that my items could be stolen.   They refused to offer me a quote for post-services while they have been picking up my items that actually worked in my favor, my brand new location is about the 4th floor and also in $75/flight it was likely to be readily $600 additional. I was not likely to have this. I kept in touch with the individual who had been responsible for my occupation, and asked him when I needed to utilize their article services. I managed to pay up to $150, simply threaten to hire a neighborhood moving team to carry up yourself and you will Find a better speed.    Dov and his men showed up two weeks after they originally said they had been planning to, and if they did, one of the men was on medication. My coffee table legs have been smashed in and my mirror has been shattered (in spite of the fact that I wrapped it into many layers of bubble wrap, information paper( and wool blankets myself), it appears like they pushed my things with no care for whether if they have ruined, in the future I discovered that a bit of my art in the road with footprints around it. As soon as I requested Dov concerning my coffee table that he shrugged and stated that they could not take it away and that occurs during proceeding, you are professionals, you’re supposed to learn how to do that without breaking my things! He advised me to simply submit to get a claim.

Moving is not simple but Ocean did an awesome job. I transferred from Miami to Chicago; they sent in seven days and everything was fantastic. I found them on the internet and was somewhat hesitate but after talking to Sal he made me feel at ease using the movement. I strongly recommend them to all of my loved ones members and friends!! Beyond exceptional customer services. They made the transaction very easy. Thank you Sal for all. We couldn’t have done it without you.

On Dec 1, 2014 I had been quoted $800 to transfer my possessions from Fla into NC. They had been to arrive Fri Feb 27, 2015 along with also my items will arrive at NC by Monday Corps two, 2015. I had a trip to depart to the 27th. They didn’t appear till the 28th. My cousin wasn’t there to allow them into my previous flat to move my items. Then they explained my bill was likely to be 2400! The motorist George subsequently said it might take 5-7 business days to your truck to get there. I waited a week and still no truck. Then I phoned them to find out what was happening and also informed from the proprietor Eli that he couldn’t reach me by telephone so that he dropped my possessions off at a storage device in SC and that I would need to pay storage charges to get out it. The driver then informed my son and daughter in law which Eli told me that we did not have cash to cover them and also to drop off my things in storage at SC. He informed me it had been because he could not reach me. An extremely big expensive painting wasn’t about the vehicle but it was about the stock list that the driver consented with me. Then I known as Eli’s office and had been advised by Lauren who works on Eli that I must have completed a listing check before motorist made, and that I did and also motorist was conscious. She then hung me up. Not only was that I overcharged 3x the number I had been quoted but also my precious painting has been stolen. I’m a senior citizen and also that is not perfect.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  This is the absolute worst case scenario I could have possibly envisioned for my transfer.  They dropped a third of my boxes (and then EVERY THING that held some significance for me personally is now gone).  What they did not lose, they ruined.  I got just explanations, rudeness and apology from the provider.  They do not phone back when they assert to and their asserts policies do not even amount to enough cash to warrant taking the opportunity to submit a claim. Moreover, all of the money on earth can’t substitute your sentimental things like family photographs, mementos of a beloved one who’s passed, your specialist portfolio or many other items.  In the event you use this business, you may repent it.  You’re better off going yourself.

Do not use United who’s a broker they’re equally as poor.  They sent some else’s desk to us and had we never notice the Individual would’ve been without.   The very best way to state that you do not have complaints or issues would be to not deal with them or call your client back.

This is a last minute go. I talked with Laura, she advised me thru all of the things which could make it easier on my own. She clarified that the expenses of the transfer, the packaging and the timeframe. Men came in 1 day packed my entire harshly and seven days after I had my own delivery within my new apt in Iowa. Moving firms I was frightened my items would get ruined but once I got the delivery and everything were well packed and wrapped in blankets I believed that the largest relief ever I also liked the fact that this provider just requires 105015 publication after which half at pick up and the next half in delivery. This gave me hope that my items would be sent and well cared for. I’ve moved 15 times throughout my job/profession. I’ve had numerous businesses move me out of United, Alied, Mayflower, etc.. The previous movement was subcontracted to Ocean Moving and Storage.
The ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!!! This provider really is a complete joke from begin to finish!! They didn’t even come out and write up a quote, needed me sent them another firms estimates and composed a quote to conquer them both to find the job. Well they then increased the complete cost from $11,100 for a lot to 1800 longer and stated I had more substance than anticipated??? Yeah perfect.

It got worse. The packers appear with their daring leader, a few modest fat Isreali man that appeared bad I needed to puke. This man spent the afternoon asking me about where I made all my money and the way I could get him a work?? He then informed me in the conclusion that he would enjoy a great tip for those men. How about bath every day, brush your teeth once every so often, and remain out of people company?

Thought it could not get worse. It did. I had nothing but problems trying to organize for shipping of product and they explained they’d inform me if they’ve got there and couldn’t plan for any particular moment. Never heard these BS. Everybody at the location is impolite rather than return calls. Well again more issues since they showed up two days after they said they would and it was only the driver. That is right not anybody else except that the motorist. Once man to unload a 30 foot truck of furniture. Well I needed to allow him to unload the entire truck or I wouldn’t have obtained my things. A great deal of items missing, amusement centre, leather upholstery, tables, boxes, and incredible!!!! Broken stuff galore along with the boxes needed everything thrown in without a rhyme or reason. The Driver advised me to phone and receive claim forms and ship everything in. I called 9 days and spoke to somebody or left with a message without a claim type. Quite sure nobody there will send so I’ll take legal actions because these clowns aren’t likely to eliminate this. I eventually talked to a man with a thick Spanish accent and that he cried nonstop and explained I had been hard and eventually stated and I quote”move F##Inform your Mother” and hung me up. Real classy business. Well now I went online and looked in their BBB score and complaints there and also about their website and holy cow. Clearly they’ve been ripping off people for a long, long moment. Hello Mr. Carmel, how about solving these ailments?? You want to fire each of those impolite and useless piece of garbage personnel and begin over. Quit ripping off people and promising to offer a support and then hiding things, breaking things, and handling people like crap. Perhaps they really do business that way in Cuba, but maybe not here. Here’s a suggestion for you, you’re a professional moving business so how about loading your stuff up and sailing back into Cuba with everybody that works there. You’re all a disgrace to professional movers in america and decent individuals everywhere!!

If I could offer this business zero stars, I’d. The worst experience ever! Though we see them load and wrap everything; and believed that they did a very great job; if the furniture arrived, there wasn’t one thing that arrived hurt free. We’ve thrown away all our furniture; and the things we chosen to keep could be practical, but we either had to fix it or live with this. We had a brand-new washer and dryer which are currently dented; yet another TV is smashed on the corner; another now includes a massive green line down a side; 2 office desks came in bits – we could not even tell what they’re. They had been so anxious to unload everything and depart, that they did not complete unwrapping things. We have been left with a lot of tape, boxes, and moving blankets to eliminate. I frankly do not understand how a business such as this stays in business! We paid good money for this particular mover; and then compensated twice up to replace the majority of our furniture.

Here is the WORST company to cope with on many levels. Does not deserve any stars. Owner and staff are unprofessional and shout and hang up on clients, lie, make excuses, intimidate and undermine. Laura (Office Mgr) is impolite and pops up on you. Drivers for your company beg for money recommendations for their team following the load. Initial cost quote based on line item stock is manipulated under the false assumption that your cubic dimension has grown (added things ) so that they attempt to pad the initial cost and get more income. Safety for your own things is severely negligent (broken safety cameras, roll up aluminum door). Three households had their items within an Enterprise truck that was then stolen. Broward Sheriff Dept filed a police record and a Detective had been assigned to the instance. The truck and our items were eventually found along with the 3 households (me and two others) started the”hostage discussions” for our items to be sent by Ocean.
Ocean tried to bill me 1495.00 to get my own items returned to me at my first address once I said I no longer trusted them with my own movement and move. I denied saying that they’d had 825.00 to get a transfer in the gulf shore –across alligator street –to Pembroke (not even leaving the country ) and that they ought to deliver my items back to me for free. They denied telling me when they returned my items, it’d cost me the residual money on the initial quotation. Our daughter was going to NY from FL and we’d made arrangements in detail exactly what things required to be transferred to NY and then things to storage. Upon arrival of the movers that showed up 4 hours late after just calling us 1.5 hr after consented to inform us they needed to unload a truck instead of could come by. . .the movers walked in and without appearing instantly came with their scam which we’d more things and the individual in charge began to purchase the house to be video recorded. We heard the extra items which were really less things as we’d moved things out to our house, so less thing to proceed. The movers desired $1300 longer and when I revealed the list the guy in charge became really obnoxious and my husband began to tape the movers since they without our acceptance taped us along with the furniture.
We had been advised that the walk in the truck was longer and there for $75 per trip to the truck would also be additional. After all guys walked out after telling my husband I was an F.. . B.tch the guys came back within an hour later and than saying they consented to the cost as their boss ordered them to run the move. Just stay far away and apparent from this corporation.

Worst moving business ever!! Cannot be reliable and is exceptionally miseleading. I shopped a movement in CT to St Louis and attempted their online estimator first. Cost was ridiculously wrong so then I provided them three additional stock quotes for my material and they were 30 percent below, ok excellent. They called me to movinginsurance.com since they don’t offer any insurance over bare minimal. I got the insurance. (Cost is factored into 30% economies over )

Now I am felling pretty great….that changes.

Packing crew shows up 6 hours late, functions 3 hours afterward only leaves and heads into a nearby hotel for the evening. They appear next AM in 10am and restart packaging. Packed very badly and required 14 more hours to complete even though they took a rest each hour. I am alerted by the manager that my load was moving over the quote. Imagine my surprise given that gave them to additional quotes from folks that really came into my home and walked it. “Sorry buddy, distance is exactly what it is and we get paid from the cubic feet”. I wonder that perhaps boxes weren’t well packaged and item only thrown in boxes and also many boxes, etc….”keep this up and we will only unpack the truck”. So I agree and flourish…that I must sign a new quote immediately and write a check for $1750. So much for economies….Truck brings out at 2am!!!

Could not find a shipping date from motorist who subsequently showed up two days overdue at St Louis. Another neighborhood crew there to float and these men were very hard working and great to use. Unpacked the vehicle, found 21 items missing, 6 distinct cases of harm. Followed the movinginsurnace.com directions, took photographs and examined with driver, preserved list of lost things and registered first claim within asked 48 hrs. Really did it over 14 hours.

I chased my transfer via BEST Interstate Moving and Storage since they had excellent reviews. Nevertheless BEST is only a moving agent and will subcontract your transfer to another person. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They transferred my furniture in Florida to New York, half of it had been delivered destroyed and another half was lost. After working together with their insurance provider and filing all of the right paperwork, they explained that they didn’t have consent to proceed and that I would need to return in contact with Oceans Transferring + Storage. It’s now been 18 months and still no settlement. They’re AWFUL. STAY AWAY.

Don’t use this provider. They’re dreadful. They do not keep you updated on anything. The men who packaged us were fine, the lead man wasn’t. He was argumentative and didn’t wish to take some other leadership. I asked for items to be packaged together, such as the TV w that the wires and distant. Not completed. The guide composed down the items as mattress frame, foot plank, not grasp bed frame, etc., made it hard to the unloading. He did not indicate a great deal of boxes. Sheri within their workplace would say she’d call and then wouldn’t. This was a shifting nightmare. She informed me our items would not be delivered before Wed/Thurs/Fri movers predicted Tuesday morning. Then said they needed to rent a bigger truck but wanted approval. Didn’t appear till noon. They were able to change everything; Sheri stated they did not do this. Showed her the $1,000 paid to unpack, therefore ultimately consented. They began so late that they eventually finished unloading at 7:30 pm. I was tired and needed them depart. I currently have 1/2 garage full of boxes and packaging material.

NEVER NEVER USE THEM.

I recommend AGAINST the organization.

Another man who was serving was requesting very personal questions regarding the home – who’s living there, just how much the home was that made my parents really uneasy. We just needed the things sent so that we would not need to manage them. Towards the end we found them engaging in illicit substances in my parents house. Now I said something to them and they then literally ran to the truck and drove off very fast from the residential area. They left the job undone and not certain when the truck was even empty with all our stuff. I phoned Iris another day who’s the supervisor and she acted understanding and sweet and stated she will look after it and will send a few men to complete the job. A week goes by and no communication from the business or Iris. I called several places along with Iris but no communication. Then I reached out to Greatest Interstate as they’re the firm my parents signed up the contact with. Stephanie Little was suppose to return but never did. Bottom line – stay away from the two businesses. They were awful to use, impolite, delivered some dishonest individuals to my parents home and didn’t complete the job. They took zero obligation for anything. They billed twice for a few things and along with all this they ruined a number of items in the procedure. These men are bad news, stay far from them save a lot of despair.

If I could offer a 0 I WOULD! They dropped an entire bag and ship winter clothes including sentimental things which you cant purchase again. The movers that install the furniture set my children beds together incorrect and they fell apart fortunately they were not hurt since they’d have a suit in their axx. We needed to put the beds together back and realized that they didnt possess the lowest slat that’s the base to hardy the top screws and pliers were missing. We needed to purchase more screws. We also had screws overlooking to our dining room seat and the movers stated we dropped them once we never took them from the box that they originally came in. They all had been concerned about was a hint and getting wet from the rain that was coming. Afterward , they were late that they didnt return about the date we had been advised. Fortunately, I had not started working yet. They cause you to need to experience the trouble of moving your self. They had been careless and billed all that cash to just end with those outcomes and missing items.

I Can’t condone the usage of Cross Country Moving. Everything started out beautifully with a seemingly amazing sales staff member, Nick, calling me and introducing me into the organization and making grand promises — cost was not too bad either. But, I was just moving about 500 kilometers and just packing a 1 bedroom flat therefore was not inclined to be costly no matter what. I decided to employ Cross Country using a guaranteed delivery date of Monday after pickup on a Saturday. This interval was hauled MULTIPLE TIMES. The disappointment begins the moment the movers came. The real movers were hard working, young men who were quite easy to utilize. The problem was with my stock list. I meticulously recorded the things I’d and their dimensions to most accurately reflect the distance needed on the vehicle, I did so with both Nick and moved straight back and fourth with the other Cross Country worker, Frank, to make sure I’d given the absolute best quote. The brunt of my issue is obvious lie I had been told about my delivery interval. BEWARE! They’ll over guarantee and under-deliver simply to get your company!! I was told my items would arrive Monday because it was such a brief distance. I had been verbally promised this MULTIPLE TIMES. But, my things never came on Monday and I got no communications (probably the funniest part because this really is what I have ). So I phoned rather than a single worker would inform me where my things were but that they would be sent Wednesday or even Thursday. On Wednesday following no communications that I phoned and they stated Thursday or Friday but still no one could inform me where my things were in the moment. We can monitor millions of deliveries per day but nobody at this business can tell me what truck or warehouse my things were in? RIDICULOUS. In this meantime, I needed to buy things I didn’t expect needing because my possessions should happen to be here. Employed PTO on Monday for the expected delivery then needed to take a second day of PTO for its actual shipping. This isn’t easy or convenient that is the entire reason to employ movers in the first location.
Unfortunately it will not stop there. When my things did arrive I had been charged an extra $300 for stairs! The elevator had stopped working the afternoon that they got there that I know isn’t the movers flaws but had they gotten there on Monday or ANY day ahead — that the elevator was working and this price wouldn’t have been incurred. You would think that they would know but nobody was available to talk with concerning this, and therefore do NOT rely upon the 24 hour customer support line that they brag about. As my furniture has been completed in I discovered several of my things were ruined. Any dresser/chest of all drawers/night stand had tears on the corners, by sofa was torn and many glasses/frames were broken although the box has been labeled brittle and professionally wrapped.

On Friday July 5th, three guys showed up for my home 4 hours late, admitting that it had been because they had been drunk and hungover. They also went back into the truck and also smoked marijuana multiple occasions. They have been hired to package and load to get a cross country move. A project they stated could take 3-4 hours went all the way till midnight.

The packaging is completely laughable. They literally THREW items into boxes. There wasn’t just one ounce of attention placed into the packaging job. Virtually everything is busted. I’ve so many electronic equipment missing.

I wish I can insert images. This was totally dreadful. And today I must explain to my daughter why daddy’s flag has been destroyed.

I gave Ocean Moving and Storage 107 boxes around 1-15-19.
They delivered to me personally 98 boxes on 1-31-19.
Two of those boxes have been opened and half vacant.
They dropped 10 percent of what own.
Ocean Moving and Storage includes a case against them from the Florida Attorney General.

Contracted with First United to get an interstate movement on convention. Without mentioning anything to people, they subcontracted it into Ocean Transferring and we’ve never heard from them again. Their subcontractor Ocean Going revealed up on shifting, filled the truck, and then advised us that our 900 square foot apartment had been more than 120 boxes (I had not even purchased that many boxes?) And demanded an additional $1000 and refused to accept back anything off the vehicle or let’s count the boxes ourselves to prove them erroneous. They jumped to either destroy or lose tens of thousands of dollars worth of their stuff. They ripped off the legs of the Casper adjustable mattress instead of unscrew them, which ruined it. They ripped a computer keyboard stand apart instead of simply take the screws out. They mangled our laundry sorter and then threw it from the fence around the side of the residence. They shattered the mirror in my mirror-front dressing table. Not just one of the desk lamps left it to the home. They are just gone. Just a few of the four kitchen seats showed up. Our kitchen table never made it here. This is merely a very, very modest sum of the items which were destroyed or lost by those individuals. The very best part is that the”so called” claims procedure in which you spend 2 full 8 hour days painstakingly set your mangled and lost things, their estimated worth, serial numbers, version numbersand weight, measurements, buy date, and so on, only to get their method”mistake” and you also do the entire thing over again. When you eventually get it filed they email you a couple of weeks using the”its processing…” message along with also a dead link to”assess your claim status.” Then…. Who understands? It has been because memorial day and we still only have ruined furniture, dead connections, along with a”pending claim” to reveal for this bunch. And dont try to call First United. They will not ever ever telephone or email you after they have unleashed their subcontractors in your home and Ocean Going fades into the night to never be seen or heard from again.

The worst company I’ve ever worked together. Quite unprofessional. They maintained no guarantees. Supposed to keep my goods at Maryland, they had been saved at Missouri. The firm who delivered was dreadful. May split furniture products, they disrespected their products. We’re retired and they moved our whole life, The movers didn’t care. Many broken products. They claim to be more professional, however, they’re rank amateurs in my personal opinion. Too pricey and I wouldn’t suggest them to anybody.

They’re a rip off business. They shipped me a last bill that seemed just like $2839 staying so that I gave them a bank account for the amount that it had been really 2339 so that they composed on the last bill that they owed me 500.00 bucks. This provider is a SCAM! They do not even deserve 1 star. I booked through a firm named Cross Country Movers and also the afternoon prior to my pick up day I discovered that the project has been subcontracted for this provider. Deposit was already paid and that I had no option but to move. I had been quoted $1400 using Cross Country Movers for 1 bedroom value of things. They showed up using a little truck which didn’t possess half of the space I had for all of my items. As soon as they loaded my things they told me that the quote went around $2400 because I wanted more cubic ft. Well naturally I did because you did not have enough to start with.

It gets worse in Drop Off. I had to hound them to get a fall off ETA which was 5 times following the initial delivery date. The driver requires me the evening before and informs me he can not pull on an 18 wheeler in a apartment complex. This firm knew that would not be possible when I reserved the project but failed to convey that in embedded and signing this speed at certain fine print. They also made me pay an ADDITIONAL $450 to receive my things transferred into some shuttle to be sent. This movement turned into a NIGHTMARE. You are better off moving your stuff yourself. Sheri in client support WAS NO HELP & A COMPLETE A**HOLE.

Save your cash & AVOID CROSS COUNTRY MOVERS & OCEAN MOVERS AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!

This business was brokered out to me personally by PeaPack and Transferring (I put a different 0 star rating to them here too). I compensated for an early bird pickup at 6 am, and then they did not arrive til 10am that afternoon, that caused endless complications because of my subsequent 14 hours drive into my new location. They totally failed one box which had reddish FRAGILE stickers ALL on it and broke everything indoors. Looked just like the box has been kicked at full power it had been so dreadful. They broke a number of my items and took the whole month to send my things. Not 1 person from the business (nor PeaPack) explained it might take 3-4 weeks before the truck was fully packed and I was given the paperwork to register also I read it myself at the paperwork. I was just told by a single individual at PeaPack that it might require 4 DAYS. So I had 6 weeks of possessions that I brought together in my vehicle. I do not even understand just how much money I needed to invest in re-buy things I already had while still waited a month to get what to come. The claims division is totally impossible to get through with all of the very small things you need to abide by and supply to allow them to refund you anything. Obviously it is that hard on purpose so that people do not end submitting their own claims. Sheri was that the customer support woman and she was quite rude and unprofessional for me, even when I was being kind and patient.

This box is the size of a little wardrobe box and couldn’t be’missed’. In my view that has been flat out obtained. Today I must manage an insurance carrier which will provide me pennies on the dollar for what’s lost / damaged.

All my furniture has damage to a portion of it although it had been all wrapped. They implemented packing tape straight to furniture that ripped the paint off when removed. 1 bit is broken in half and not repairable.

My moving price estimate of $4,600 ballooned to over $6,000 and when I complained to both businesses I had been told that’from the large picture, a couple of extra hundred bucks on either side of the transfer isn’t a huge deal”. Well it’s as it took every cent I had to proceed! And of course I was not told of the additional charge until AFTER they’d my things loaded and on it’s way. So either I paid the excess or they retained my things!

In addition they behave like it is none of your business where your material is if in transit or when it will appear. When I hired them I was told I could check about where the truck was supposed to obtain an notion of shipping day. Over the 9 times it required them to appear I called to check on the truck 3 days. They claimed they could not get to the driver. Second time that they said that he had been’on the shore’. Third time he had been at the’hills’. The motorist called me 12 hours before showing up along with my belongings.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They’re LIARS AND THIEVES! DO NOT TRUST ANY COMPANY THAT WORKS WITH OCEAN EITHER!

This firm was awful after the first quote. Didn’t appear when scheduled. Rude pick-up people. They tried to tell me exactly what I had been quoted and agreed upon was only an estimate. Ability to charge me $240 over the agreed upon cost. I denied. They picked up the cargo. I’d ALL of this paperwork. Delivery driver has been so rude and obnoxious! He wanted money for the shipping equilibrium, perhaps not a cashier’s test I had been advised to have. I refused to give him money. Don’t use these people today!!

These men truly do not care about their clients. Upon entrance to Atlanta (transferred from Florida) my poles have been thrown from their moving truck, broken and shattered. And I mean that they threw my own boxes. Allow me to be clear. These boxes needed my moms antiques inside them, I am 29 years old and now that I simply committed suicide, so I had been given her possessions. This material meant more to me then anything else. A whole lot of it had been busted. It has been 4 weeks since my transfer and several emails and telephone calls later, they are still not going to compensate me for most of the damages. They keep giving me the run around or no replies whatsoever. I have sent photographs of all of my broken possessions, of which could not be replaced.

I talked with the provider before them even moving my possessions and mum’s antiques, informed them how worried I was and that maybe I need to attempt and maneuver the antiques myself. They believed that everything will be nice and delivered with caution so long as these boxes have been marked brittle (that I tapped delicate and composed around those boxes). I kid you not if they pulled around my flat they pulled my delicate boxes out of the truck (those boxes were already smashed) I had merely standing their hands dropped later telling them to please not manage them like that.

Extremely disrespectful – avoid this company in any way costs. You’ve been warned. I feel as though I have been assaulted

I’m visually impaired and so don’t have any option except to work with a moving business. At each stage of the trade has been lied to. Initial quote was $1900.00 awarded the date I had the possessions they gave me a pickup date. Took 3 months before they came and could have been more if I hadn’t mentioned the country closing shortly for its CORVID outbreak. TV was scratched all up. Desk broken and unfixable (welding isn’t my thing). A lot of different items damaged along with a lost bag of clothes. Throughout the procedure I contacted the origination business (Connected Van Lines) and Ocean Moving and Storage moving business. On every telephone they increased the cost even when I eliminated several big items to decrease the cost they raised it. After all was done and said exactly what had been loaded was half of the dimensions and over twice the cost 4,700.00 for one bedroom apartment proceed. As soon as they have your belongings you’re screwed and they’ll raise the price despite the fact that they are not actually permitted but if you’d like your stuff exactly what other alternative do you’ve got notably with a nationally lockdown. I have moved a lot through the last few years and have utilized many different moving companies. Ocean Moving and Storage is undoubtedly the worst moving company I have ever used. I’ll not to into detail but what should happen to be a easy move from Kansas City, MO into Minneapolis, MN was a nightmare. Just steer clear of this provider. I would give them zero stars if I could.
