I left a severe mistake once I used these movers I believed I had been getting proffessional movers that the sales man said they had been exactly the same as North American Vanlines a well-known moving firm rather I got two fool movers within an rental van that they completely over billed me and ruined all my things! My wife cried nearly a week following our things were delevired late much worse encounter in our own lives! [EDIT] these folks!
We hired this firm to move my older mother’s household products from Sarasota Florida to Buffalo NY. They were supposed to load the truck in 5PM and showed up at 2AM. The truck was supposed to arrive on 9/8 or even 9/9. Several phone calls later now, 9/8, eventually disclosed that the truck hadn’t even left Florida without a definitive time has been granted. We had been advised to call back in two days. Not Trustworthy and incredibly poor communication. I really don’t believe we fully knew that this was NOT North American Van Lines.
The pick up of our items was simple enough, was a little more than mentioned but we anticipated that as we included a couple more boxes. Transit just took 1.5 months from Atlanta to NYC and that is not bad in any way. Lorraine in the workplace managed my mad calls just like a pro once I began panicking about where my stuff was, she was super nice and pleasant and passed across any and all upgrades that she’d. Additionally the men that hauled and delivered my items in NYC were fantastic. Super fast, efficient and total gentleman all the way. They unwrapped each one of the large items and put all in the right rooms per my instructions. They had the truck unloaded in approximately 1.5 hours. The problem started when we were unpacking and found several pricey items missing out of our boxes. Electronics, jewelry, clothes. It all had clear logos onto it so we understand what they were searching for. I feel like I have been robbed and its own super unsettling to consider my private belonging being rifled through by thieves like it was a free for everybody. Additionally, idiots you abandon half of these wires and regions of the electronic equipment you stole so great fortune using/selling them with no. Also have fun sporting my favorite and filthy Jordans which you just took too in addition to my flashy high school class ring (really where are you really going to pawn that together with my initials and football jersey number on it). To the management group, make an effort not to employ disgusting and jagged idiotic thieves for workers.
This business is a joke that they didn’t pick up on day and time afterwards. It’s been 3 1/2 months because they picked up and we still do not have our possessions. They won’t call return I must keep phoning them. I contacted the BBB, I believe that is the sole reason why they even returned my phone call now. The team are reddish and everybody there’s lied to us on where our substance is everywhere. Our cost had been 1900 although low and behold now they’re attempting to bill us 4500. As they said we took up”to much space”, however they showed up at a freaking lease truck. Obviously if you appear at a pickup truck there won’t be sufficient room. Scam artists. And mind that you still don’t have my things and they’re only discussing shooting off 500. Unacceptable I shall do my very best to inform each of my army buddies in Fl to NEVER use this firm.
Don’t use this moving business! I’m going out of the way to leave poor reviews on each site I could find!
They take pride in providing military discounts- if”the army reduction” is only provided on the quoted cost! They do not tell you that before the truck is filled along with your possessions and you are standing in a vacant home! Being the spouse of A Veternan who’s done 2 tours in Afghanistan I find this exact disheartening!! I feel really nostalgic and taken good care of. I had been quoted $2,600. Initially just to be informed that I’d more than that which was quoted, I ended up spending a grand sum of $6,600!
Customer support is a joke and you also truly feel like cattle being herded through a dark valley. Brigette specifically has very bad customer service abilities, like paying them 6k was not sufficient for your company to deal with you considerate that they treat you enjoy the enemy. I had been yelled at and essentially known as a liar on many occasions, didn’t have any calls returned, has been placed on hold multiple occasions (25mins of my own life I will never return ) And needed to wonder if my items would even be sent.
After everything came I had a couple broken/scuffed parts of furniture. Two boxes overlooking that comprised all of my kitchen appliances along with yet another that comprised food that is dry.
I’m just in complete shock that a business that calls themselves”North America” van lines is anything BUT which!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
2/14/2016 (Sunday) moving team came and started loading possessions, half way through I had been informed that my”Binding estimate” needed to become”Rebooted” after substantially supposing my quote has been increased by $1566.00 to $8727.00 and this had been ascertained by just half the load rich. Additionally, payment of this $8700.00 was required daily. (Sunday) I had been told this would need to be compensated in money or (eventually after heated debate ) cashiers check. It is Sunday, no lender open to acquire check or cash and I do not have $8727. At the Home. I threatened to call the authorities and”Teddy” told me that this was a civil issue and authorities would do nothing, appeared he had any experience in situations such as this. He informed they could depart (with our possessions ) and allow the attorneys hash out it or I could cover. My possessions are half loaded, I’ve a trailer leased that I am pulling, cleaner planned to come on Tuesday and perform a last cleaning, mad, frustrated and with no allies aside from my realtor that happens by. I agreed to cover. However, on the next Tuesday as the following day (Monday) has been presidents day and banks could be closed. After much more claiming that I eventually convinced him there was simply no other way he would not take a test or take a credit card what would we do? . He set me on his mobile phone into a voice (don’t know as to who it belonged to) and ultimately, the voice, consented that the transferring team would remain in Tampa before Tuesday, but the complete amount would need to be compensated at that moment.
Tuesday morning, teddy called me a few times before eight o’clock to ensure that I had been going into the lender. I assured him, I would be in the lender once the doors started. After we got home from the lender, terry required the 8700.00 bucks, I denied, the truck might be vacant, I wasn’t likely to cover until I saw my own furnishing unloaded. He denied , this time I did call the police, they came but would do nothing. Another call was set to the workplace along with also the”Voice” consented that I must cover half once the door of the truck has been started and half when half of the furniture arrived from the truck.
After the dust settled and everybody was gone, my wife and I sat on the ground and assessed the re-boot paperwork. Here are a Few of the items we mentioned:
The business Website clearly says” no cost for stairs” I have billed $75.00
The business Internet Site clearly states” we accept, cash, credit cards, credit cards, money order or check” cash was required from me clearly written about the paperwork. The paperwork reads money or cashier’s check. Because this was on a Sunday it might have been most difficult to acquire a cashier check, money order or perhaps the extortionable sum of $8700.00 Who’d be aware that the cost would go up by 5and 1/2 days??
The original quote claims that shipping costs of $4.50 per cubic foot could be billed. I’m unable to discover any notation concerning the amount of cubic feet which led to a delivery fee of $8700.00!! In reality, but for the buck mathematics, there seem to be no calculations for amount of cubic feet x’s 4.60 everywhere. Oddly enough the”additional” cubic feet was also determined with just (estimate) half of my possessions loaded. How can one do this??
The original quote makes no mention of owning a fee of $150.00 each man for loading, nevertheless I had been billed $300.00 for loading employees. Plus sheepish asked if I’d consider paying the helpers another”gratuity” at the top of this $300 in addition to the $8700.00.
The original quote suggests a gas sir fee of 306.00 for a space of 451 kilometers yet I was billed 706.00 to exactly the exact same space, and an extra 900.00 destination fee never revealed on the initial quote.
Every thing discussed together with the telephone rep, and onsite estimator has been a LIE! A flipped into Z.. . .white turned into
black. They showed up late. They DOUBLED the quote, despite my true cubic foot dimensions of EVERY item sent. They sent our products 11 days following pickup, even though reassuring us that the shipping could be mad over 3-4 times….we were without clothing, medications, personal things etc etc…..had to camp outside at new site.
They promised us that the truck which made up the pick are the one creating the shipping….our things were unloaded onto the other sub-contractor trailer. Quite a few items were ruined (roughly $3000). The pickup crew partly destroyed several parts of furniture. The shipping team didn’t unwrap a porch dining place, BBG grill and other things. The’owner’ Eli assured us they’d make great to us….FAT CHANCE!! I’ll take this issue to John Stossel in Fox News. And now they say the business is no more….operating currently as’Graybul’. THE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!! ….and today it’ll be tricky to chase them in court due to this shift. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!! . . .STAY AWAY!!
They arrived, wished to bring an extra 1200$ into the moving fee despite the fact that they understood the amt of things that we needed to transfer was saved into a 10×30 storage device and we’d utilized a whole 24′ truck to transfer all of it ourselves. They jumped to leave half of my possessions in the device. The also discovered all of my furniture, projecting things in addition to the timber, broke off the mirror of my dresser and also shattered my television. As soon as I dealt with these problems with dispatch I had been known as a liar, that they did not need to bring all of my things as it was my obligation to learn whether or not they had billed me for sufficient distance and won’t let me wh were my own possessions are nor when to expect shipping. So I sit here in a vacant home not knowing if I could ever see my things again. They picked up on Friday. It’s currently Tuesday night and that I still have no shipping info.
These folks are crooks!!! STAY AWAY.
BBB = F for a motive!!! They don’t care about ratings.
Schedules are created but not stored. They then state that they in their way and appear two days after.
Once things was picked up I couldn’t contact anybody. Some numbers are disconnected.
Then of course the cost goes up for packaging but we had all in boxes to them.
They then maintain your stuff hostage if you don’t pay money before shipping… you can’t see if anything is ruined before you cover 100% staying in money. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH.
The are NOT North America”N” Van lines. They stole their title.
THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO BUSINESS!!!!
This is the worst customer experience of my entire life! I transferred a grand piano out of NC to CA and hired the business since they gave me the cheapest cost, but that they used the old bait and switch strategy to receive my small business. I received a minimal ball binding quote and then they dropped it on delivery and moving times with danger of losing weight or incurring storage expenses. They have been the rudest, meanest, most rickety, lying folks I’ve ever dealt with (most of these ). At one stage I threatened to phone the authorities including all the obscenities thrown at me. At shipping nobody understood just how to put back with a grand piano and then abandoned many bits from it. They then awakened the driveway hoping to receive their stuck truck outside and shattered several wooden yard bits. Attempting to achieve these individuals is futile. They won’t return calls, answer emails or texts. These are the folks I dealt with: Chris, Liram, Yair, Yehuda, Eyal, DO NOT EVER USE THEM!
This firm damaged our furniture and they make no attempt to solve the issue. They also offer a quote; subsequently ask for much more. Very bad firm. Don’t use!
They’ll lie and let you know exactly what you would like to hear rather than the reality. We did not get our things until nearly two weeks later it was suppose to get delivered. Boxes were smashed and ruined. Vinyl bags were all broken. They charged over the quotation and the employees were unfriendly. Do your self a favor and pay a bit more to get a fantastic business. It’ll make your life much simpler.
Simple, I’ve got a contract with all the movers to pick up my items on a potential 3 times, July 29-31, 2018. I had been told the pickup will be Tuesday, July 31 between 3 and 6 PM. Never happened, never revealed. I received a phone at 5:15 that the 31st in the guy who’s responsible for the motorist was a lame excuse about being unable to make it on time to a different delivery. Therefore it was not likely to be three or four hours after that day in the 31st but instead 24 hours longer before they’d come to pick up my items. I tried calling the supervisor of this organization but he never responded back or answered any of my calls. This afternoon once the motorist said he’d be here, I received a call again at the pickup time Saying he wouldn’t be in a position to make it again, but the task he was on was too large and It would not be till the next day again until they might pick up my items. This was only okay. . He said he’d speak to a supervisor for me right then and would phone me back personally in 10 minutes, then not occurred never come back from either. I made many efforts phoning, it merely goes into voicemail. That you go
About 6/20/18, I utilized North America Moving Systems to maneuver from Laurinburg, NC to Corpus Christi, Texas. My first quote, delivered by Grant on May 31st, was to get 1,692 cubic feet. I had been told that this was sufficient room to package my four-bedroom house. I spoke with him that the range of beds and sofas I’d be moving along with other household products. I had been confident that this distance could be more than adequate once I questioned if that could be sufficient distance. I was also informed that the $300 packaging bill could cover the packaging of a couple of big pictures in addition to two bigger TVs. It was suggested by Grant that my family items could be picked up within an 18-wheeler and proceeded straight to Texas. He never mentioned with a more compact truck and putting my things in storage. I would never have utilized this service when I’d known beforehand that my things would be transferred twice.
On June 20th, the movers at NC came with a midsize rental truck which already had other things packed in the front part of the truck. I can easily find a huge mattress along with different things behind it. My things have been added into the rear of this truck. I was told my things could be taken into an air conditioning storage facility before a bigger truck would take them to Texas. After the movers came, I was immediately told I would be billed extra to your TVs to be packaged. I needed them call Grant — that the salesman who stated that this was contained in the 300 packaging charge. He agreed that he’d tell me this.
Next among the movers took photos of my home to send into the corporation. In one hour, I had been called to the telephone to talk with Yair Knafo in shipment and told I’d over the projected 1692 cubic feet and also I would need to pay another sum or leave things behind. I had been told an extra $2696 was demanded before loading to pay an additional 1,100 cubic feet of distance. (Obtaining the entire cubic feet paid for to 2,792) An extra fee of $2,195.97 has been added to shipping prices in Texas too. I had been billed a total of $10,882.32 for the transfer, which will be $4,891.97 longer than the initial estimate. I was also told when I didn’t need all of the estimated distance which I would be given a refund for distance not employed. Once I could get the new quote online the following day, I discovered I had been charged an extra $1150 for packaging materials and an additional $130 for my own TVs (those I’d already been told were coated with the initial $300 cost ).
The driver of the moving van has been Jamal Hall. He signed up the Household Goods Descriptive paychecks from North America and has been introduced to me earlier in the afternoon as his or her driver and worker. Another movers didn’t dispute that claim. He was also tagging and inventorying my things. In 10:00 PM the night, I had been advised by Jamal Hall that I had surpassed the 2,792 cubic feet of distance and might need to pay an extra $1350 to complete loading. Money was required for its loading to last. At this stage in time that I had no option except to pay. I had a final scheduled on my house in under 48 hours and had to wash out the home. He took my replica of this Interstate Revised Written Estimate and created adjustments to it and signed it.
At 11:00 PM the movers inquired if they can quit for the evening and return to complete in the daytime. I had been confident they’d reunite at 8:00AM. The moving team returned after 12:00 noon on June 21st. I talked to a number of those movers and inquired why I had been billed for extra cubic footage in the rate of $4.50 rather than the initial $3.50. At that stage, I had been advised by a number of those other movers which Jamal Hall was stealing money from me personally. I did phone the police and had him arrested for theft. After accepted to the police division, Jamal Hall — North America’s driver – didn’t pose a valid driver’s permit. He had was a Florida ID card. The driver returned 900 of my cash — making me 450 short. Yair Knafo that the North America dispatcher (I believe that he is also the proprietor ) advised me he wasn’t accountable because of his worker’s behaviour or the yield of my cash.
Both remaining movers completed loading my home possessions daily. When asked in which my possessions were being saved, I had been given the title of a centre in Rockingham, NC thirty kilometers off.
But on June 25th, Yair Knafo phoned me to ask questions regarding Jamal Hall’s arrest. He wished to know the title of this police department along with the instance number. I advised him to phone that the Laurinburg Police Department. Yair said the Jamal Hall was detained on a former event for stealing cash. Yair also advised my son through another phone conversation, that he didn’t perform a background check along with his workers and had no problem using people who have criminal records. As my transfer I have discovered several arrest documents for Mr. Hall by simply performing a Goggle search.
I was initially told by Grant, the salesman, so my furniture could arrive at the week of June 25th. Yair Knafo advised me that the furniture could be picked up no sooner than June 30th and likely would be sent from July 6th. As soon as I phoned on July 5th , I had been told that the furniture wouldn’t come before the next week.
A North America motorist, Daniel Galla, delivered my home products on July 12th. Before anything was, I took an image of the interior of their moving van. It’s marked off at cubic feet. My possessions were the only things on the half empty van. About the attached photo you can plainly see that my household products took up less than 2000 cubic feet. My son Lee and that I attempted to telephone Yair Knafo differently to have the last cost corrected. The motorist Daniel threatened to push off with my furniture when he wasn’t paid the whole $4,353 before unloading one bit of furniture. After we eventually attained Yair Knafo by telephone we were advised to cover Daniel and the cash could be reimbursed afterwards.
Daniel Galla threatened another time to depart if I didn’t sign the incomplete stock checklist BEFORE unloading had even started. That I refused to do till all products were unloaded and accounted for. At this moment , I have a lot of things which were damaged, lost or broken from the movers. I noticed as many as I could about the Household Goods Descriptive Inventory List. 1 wheel onto a sewing studio cupboard was ripped off entirely, a classic sewing box table includes a cracked legplus a sewing cutting table came with the framework bent out of shape and a gouge at the surface of the table which makes it unusable, even a little home freezer has been dented and pushed in over the engine unitplus a wheel in my gas grill has been ripped off the axeland also a queen mattress was no further wrapped and had been coated with black soil. These ruined items were packaged and wrapped in boxes and blankets from the movers. A number of my boxes have been lost on birth. I had been told by Daniel that he’d repacked a number of those boxes. Many boxes came with no numbers at all.
I’ve requested to get a refund of $3,222. This will pay for the overcharge on cubic footage never being used of $2,772 (792 cubic feet times $3.50) and an extra $450 to pay the cash stolen from me from the North America worker. A famous thief was delivered to my house as a driver with no valid driver’s permit to transfer my home things.
I sent an email to North America Moving Systems on July 24th requesting a refund for those overcharges and another $450 to pay for the theft by his or her worker. I got a response on July 25th saying”I am sorry for this adventure. I know that it needs to be a repay to you. I’ll be in touch with you this week to provide you with the sum which our firm should pay you back.” No title has been signed, and nobody has emailed or called me thus far. While I call to discover the status of my claim, nobody replies in Dispatch, Accounting or Revenue. I’ve left many voice messages, and nobody returns my phone. I’ve called the”crisis” amount, and nobody replies, along with the message box is complete preventing you by leaving a message.
Coping with North America Moving Systems has become the worst possible expertise. This firm sent a driver into my house which couldn’t even introduce a valid driver’s permit to the authorities to push a vehicle let alone a truck. Their driver confessed to the police that he took cash away from me by bogus pretense. My initial quote of $5990 climbed to $10, 882. This is a $4,891 growth I needed to cover or locate another inspector immediately and shed all of deposits. Telephone calls made for this business go awry, messages have been discounted. Refunds are guaranteed but none obtained. I wouldn’t ever suggest this mover to anybody. Zero stars.
Thus we hired North America Moving Systems in July to transfer us from Florida to Washington. On August 17, we discovered their real name is Advantage Moving & Storage Inc located in Miami, Florida. We had a contract to transfer our products.
The movers showed up 4 hours late, half-packed boxes, packed stuff that wasn’t supposed to be transferred, did not load things that was presumed to be wealthy, no disassembly, hired a homeless man to help package, abandoned the 2nd afternoon for nearly 5 hours and left homeless man at our property, refused to cancel the purchase and unload the vehicle, refusing to send products, attempting to extort more money, attempting to get us sign a different contract, threatened to auction our products, do I actually should continue.
Avoid those moving pirates, they’ll hold your things hostage and need more money, then threaten to put your items in storage, impose tariffs, and auction your own belongings. We made them conscious of all of our complaints, to no avail.
We filed complaints with the Department of Transportation, the Florida Attorney General, and the Better Business Bureau, also writing this specific review of the shadiness.
They’ll hook you with a minimal quote, then strike you for extra charges, or maintain your merchandise hostage. This firm, under both titles, has to be put out of business. It’ll happen to you in the event that you hire them. I’m sitting on a lawn chair right now typing this, our stuff has been likely to be sent on August 12th, it isn’t the 17th and still nothing. I’ve attached the latest email I received from them.
