Same story as with other reviews no distinct. My stuff has been picked up on 23rd June and still not sent. Many telephone calls for Manny and Christian overbi, nobody selects the calls and reacts. They billed me more than what I gave me and today I’m going through plenty of difficulty beacause of those. I will keep updating my standing until I get my things delivered.
Frankly I wouldn’t even give them one star. I wish I’d have read these testimonials beforw. Put the move 1.5 weeks before and supported three occasions over email and telephone the pickup date. Called at the day prior to the scheduled pickup day and they still confirmed my move and informed me it’d be scheduled involving 4-6pm. I called in again to confirm the transfer the afternoon of the real movement and they, again, affirmed. It was 4pm and nobody arrived, 5pm and still no news of anybody, 6pm and nobody appeared. I called about 20 times and tried speaking to three distinct men and women. Just Cristian, the one that I signed up the contract to start with, was hoping to help and yet promised me that they had been postponed, but could nevertheless arrive after that night about 8-9pm. I had an early trip to Boston the next day, and so I had to understand if they were coming or not so I could reschedule it. It was 11pm and still nothing. I called every number I could detect, left voice mails and mails and still nothing. I missed my trip that cost me $350 longer to reschedule. Someone sent me a text about 12pm stating they had a issue but when I still needed them that they COULD (didn’t state WOULD) come the following day involving 2-5pm, I simply had to tell them when I wanted the support. OF COURSE I WANTED THE SERVICE to Start WITH! I NEEDED TO MOVE THAT IS WHY I SCHEDULED SO FAR Beforehand. I was mad. There was not any communication at all and I missed my trip. I needed to start looking for a different firm who THANK GOD went out of the way to aid me in an afternoon so I could fly out to Boston the exact same week. Another firm, Purple Hearts, which I really recommend, came the following day in the scheduled time to pickup my boxes. All I got from”my country to state movers” was a stolen residue (they didn’t gave up it ) along with a”I’m sorry” TEXT not even a formal email.
I dropped my sister lately and my niece needed to move furniture from Washington DC to Miami. Quoted one cost charged twice. Never returned telephone calls. All of the bad reviews are accurate. Will notify BBB, also contact military and attorney should they use this corporation.
I can not feel these schmucks are still in business. My nightmare occurred in 2017. Totally ripped off us. Did the exact same thing so far as needing to unload our truck till they had been compensated. Christian and Manny are conducting a strategy here. Quote low, appear with a more compact truck than asked. Called for rear up truck. Tripled the cost. Refused to unload. They have to be researched.
Horrible experience. Quotation was 899 but ended up spending about $1,700 when everything was done and said. We were just moving a mattress, children bed, television, microwave and a couple of boxes. Please be mindful that you don’t need to pay ahead of time for your transfer. Please don’t use this moving business!
So this business billed me a safety deposit, showed up an hour and a half late, required I instantly pay double the amount mentioned before they even touched some of my furniture, and then left without transferring anything. These men are thieves and frauds. The sales rep that first spoke to me was somebody called Christian Overbi. The driver of this truck has been called Manny and did not speak or comprehend English well whatsoever. This is their advice:

MyStateToStateMovers.com
Do not be deceived with these idiots such as I had been. Stay away.
They never showed up, we waited the entire day, even though they shot down payement, maintain lying to us snd postponning the coming time.
Please know about these
A living nightmare we had been advised a quotation compensated $690.000 for truck leasing, regional director Gemma told me someone would be in contact before move that never occurred!! Guy showed up and asked for $2,400 and just took my [EDIT] boxes abandoned my furniture, foreman Chris is a joke no client support skills what so ever you call and nobody calls back you theyll say they will and youll get no response .This is a FRAUD COMPANY!!!! I’d have been better to lease uhaul then I might have my possessions all collectively
They lie about their quotation. When there they wish to control more. Keep you material hostage for months awaiting delivery. Chris is a scam artist. Doesn’t answer telephone calls, hides such as a rat. Be certain you inspect all of your items once delivered to broken items until you pay.
Like each of the other people here my husband and I had a dreadful experience. We were told that a quotation, and if Manny came to pickup our land, the cost had been raised. We had been guaranteed that our furniture at a few days.IT TOOK THEM 2 and a half WEEKS TO DELIVER OUR FURNITURE! We called multiple times to acquire standing of our house. The majority of the time nobody answered the telephone. Manny and Chris answered our calls and gave us the song and dancing when THEY DID opt to answer the telephone. We put out cash we did not have on clothing, pots and pans, ect. . .They never advised us it would take so long as it didn’t DELIVER our land. When our land was eventually sent, they had a guts to need more cash. The police was called, long story short, we needed to cover the extra cash for them to unload the vehicle. Police could not do anything but indicate small claims court, which we mean to perform. We also known as the Maryland State authorities and made a complaint. That is a fraudulent business and they ought to be shut down! Absolutely dreadful experience.
Delaware into Virginia. Chris Overbi, the agent underquoted the transfer, wouldn’t listen when I said I had a larger truck and much more movers. He offered me $2600 for a 26′ truck to maneuver a lrg 3 bedroom with complete packing. He put his very best man”Manny” on the task to handle it.
4 men showed up at 10:45am (scheduled to be there in 9). They came in the conclusion destination in 11:30 pm with two trucks and another team that they had predicted in at 6 pm because they eventually realized I was right about the quantity of work. The last charge was $8000 and the movers wouldn’t lift a finger to unload my belongings until they had been paid and tipped. Chris told me to phone him back the next week and he’d apply some reductions on the rear end to alleviate the price. In itself sounds kind of sketchy. He, naturally, didn’t return my telephone or email. Go figure. Oh, and also my credit card # was stolen soon afterwards. I don’t use it for whatever except crises and I haven’t used since, since it had been maxed out that evening. Unprofessional, and rip off artists. I’m still contemplating reporting them for fraud. I’ve read about moving companies which do this kind of thing (under estimate ) to acquire business and then ream you in the long run.
Spiritual Overbie was so valuable and that is the reason why I chose to employ this provider. But when they showed up the day of their movement they arrived in telling us that we had over previously quoted and it was likely to be nearly double what I had been quoted. I denied the cost and the driver named Manny, the supervisor, along with a flat fee cost was agreed on which was still $700.00 greater than my quotation. In regards to shipping the afternoon has been set for a Sunday after which Manny maintained calling to alter the shipping date. I attempted to achieve Christian who was currently MIA because he could not be attained and would not respond back to me personally. I wouldn’t recommend this firm to anybody!!
I had been contacted by Chris Overbi because of the transfer in Columbia, MD into Central Texas. I’ve a minimum movement of about 750 cu for the 2 bedroom flat. With each other moving firm, I needed to supply a thorough stock, but he promised me that there was more than enough space with a piggy back movement. He pressured to get a deposit of $200.00.
I found it strange that he ran business through text message and it felt extremely ill (emojis, bad punctuation, etc). I talked to my people and they stated it was a wonderful cost, almost $1000 less than I’d found elsewhere, and that I ought to look in testimonials. I found it peculiar that Chris supplied screenshots of testimonials instead of a site, but I put the deposit on my credit card to be safeguarded in case I wished to dispute the fees.
I asked when we’d do a comprehensive stock and Chris promised me that there was sufficient space, but when it’d make me comfortable, I would send him a record. Again, I began to feel uncomfortable. I took on the web and found these testimonials. As soon as I asked him to refund my deposit while I was picking about her path for my movement, he attempted to intimidate me into giving him a motive and said I would forfeit my money. It wasn’t till I said I’d contact my lender that he said he’d refund.
I would strongly suggest that you keep away from him along with this business. If You’re researching Before committing to some business, please inquire folks the next:
1) What is the title of your organization?
2) Are you currently a provider or a broker? (A company has got their own trucks. A broker will serve as the middleman and frequently does not allot the right currencies to the true truck which leads to last minute fees –as will be the situation in these types of reviews.)
3) What’s the DOT #?
Just take the the opportunity to look into the corporation’s DOT number on”firm picture” and www.protectyourmove.gov. Just like any other firm, there’ll be a profile on www.bbb.org. I’m thankful that I listened to my gut and also canceled services prior to addressing this firm. I am hoping this will help someone later on.
We speak to Chris and we gave him a complete detail record of what we’d he estimates us 850 to perform a transfer from DC to Florida. He said we had been getting a fantastic deal since we had been doing a piggyback move. The day of the transfer the movers showed up and assert it was to much material and tripled the cost. They phoned Manny and he explained Chris couldn’t give me any reductions and that I had to rush and make a determination since the truck had to go he then said he’d provide me a flat rate of $1600. In addition to everything the motorist gets to me along with my belongings and tell me he’d 7 moves onto that 1 truck and that I was likely to get to cover $250.00 more. This firm is a complete rip off.
Worst moving firm EVER!!! Spoke with Chris and inventoried everything and obtained a fair quote. The arrive on moving day and inform me that there’s a lot of material and dropped my cost. Tried to phone Chris and couldn’t reach him. Left without a option, I consented to this increase. Called Manny to program my delivery in my new address and that he was VERY rude and talked to me just like I was crap. Again, I attempted to call Chris and have no answer. The afternoon before shipping, they phone me and inform me that it is impossible for them to get the truck down my road and I will need to cover an extra $800 to get a shuttle and that I needed to cover that and my balance in money. Yet more, I attempted to phone Manny along with Chris and have no answer. After talking with the driver right, it ends up that Manny gave the driver the incorrect shipping address. This provider plays on people’s feeling of urgency and will nickel and dime you every opportunity they get. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
State to State Movers really are a whole RIPOFF!!! Chris Overbi speaks a fantastic game such as your getting the very best move in the very best price in the nation and that he can piggyback with a different individual to acquire a better bargain. But on Saturday the truck had been overdue, Manny advised the pickup at 9 AM did not reveal until 4:30 PM. I’d packed all of my belonging before them becoming there to help it become a bit easier to get Manny. When the truck has been loaded Manny came in and said I surpassed the initial estimate of 310 CF and that I exceeded the quote by 200 CF since I used additional large moving boxes and 4 apparel boxed. I whined with Manny and he stated he’d offer me a flat rate of $1800 to its transfer and demanded 900 up front. The initial quote from Chris had been quoted $1000.00 to its transfer in Clarksburg MD into Charlotte NC and has been ensured my furniture will be sent into Charlotte by Monday no later than Tuesday. On Monday I phoned Manny and that he had been really impolite and disrespectful. He explained that I my furniture was in Charleston SC and when I wished to receive it fast it might cost an extra $500. I was livid and refused to cover the 500 and Manny said I was not receiving my furniture and wrapped up. I attempted to find a grasp of Chris calling several occasions, sending text along with sending email. I never was not known again or messaged. I attempted Manny again, looking for diplomatic and seeking to work together with him. He became very stern and stated I wouldn’t get my furniture span! I phoned Chris with my work phone and he answered on the second ring. I was a client moving from DC that the Charleston SC. He said a cost and it might be piggybacked onto a truck moving there and ensured 110 percent my furniture could by there in 3 times. After I he was done telling lies I told him that I was and wished to learn where and when I’d get my belonging, then he suddenly hung-up. I attempted to have a grasp of Manny period and time again with no avail. I had enough and that I contacted Maryland State Attorney’s
Office, other government agencies, my attorney and insurance business to get State to State from business.
State to State is a fraudulate firm, they lie and also will defraud you. First thing, 123 movers would be a clearing house for all those shady firm’s out there. Please beware.
PS: I have never got my furniture.
Robert S.
I had been quoted $899 I gave him a most of the bits Of furniture which I had in the 2 bedroom condominium. I used ton’t have significantly more boxes than initial quote. I had been moving out of Bel Air Maryland into Milton Delaware a hour trip I needed to have my own things set in storage for a few weeks before the home had been completed. And at now the entire thing was more than cost me $4000. That didn’t include the storage which has been added $300 per month. Manny, the gentleman which I worked with that really did the moving out of my home shot my credit card but he charge me an extra $150 that which he predicted was a merchant commission. I contested it with my American Express. I really don’t see why should it is a retailer commission I am the client why did I need to cover it! They actually do have you over a barrel since they have your own stuff. When they sent it that the manhood very pleasant and they did a very wonderful job with packaging it and shielding it not 1 thing was busted or ruined. But when the guys left they left a massive box with all their garbage because in, their meals their beverages and other miscellaneous crap in my own garage. Then since I set it in my own visa they bill me a retailer commission again without telling me that the equilibrium was owed $1900 along with my credit card has been billed 2060. This business is a scam that they move off the country to express emblem. I predicted Christian back and that I really do no return calls. I did receive the fee reversed on the very first portion of the movement, and he insisted that I shouldn’t of been billed that. He explained Manny made an error. As soon as I predicted Manny back to the next part of the shipping Manny contended with me and explained that it is the retailers charge when I had a credit card it’d be better when I used money. He didn’t make me conscious that when I paid by money I wouldn’t have that cost. These guys are gypsy movers in my personal opinion and even though they say they are part of condition to say I doubt it.
Classic bait and switch as it came into pricing. I obtained a quotation from Christian on the telephone that was rather fair. The movers showed up on time and also did an excellent job of loading and packaging. If they were finished they introduced me an invoice which has been over 4x the quotation. Not just that, they needed money or that I could pay charge card also 6% merchant fee. I dropped the two choices… we settled with me spending $5k on charge and the remainder due at a later date. While they needed a postal money order, I simply mailed them a cashier check. Our possessions were sent as promised and also the true packing was topnotch and nothing has been ruined. So while the real employees did a great job, that fantastic will was dropped dependent upon the the bait and change about the charges…. I Wouldn’t advocate utilizing state to state movers
Only need to let everybody know that this business ought to be fined and put out of business. They have workers who are willing to listen to and lie to you. That’s if you aren’t placed on hold for 20 minutes and then hung upon. They tell you each Thursday that your good is going to be delivered on Saturday or Sunday. We’ve been advised this story 5 months in a row. Please contact a respectable business and avoid this one at any cost.
Chris Overbi talked great, but didn’t follow threw with what he told us. Our contract said something but Manny wouldn’t follow threw with contract. Sent men and women who stated didn’t talk English, We had been told they’d maintain furnture around 30 days at additional charge and they attempted to charge $500. Ended up paying $250. Merely to find things and contract said 300.00 credit that we didn’t get. They just had our stuff for two nights and didn’t pick up or delv punctually promiced. Additionally when delv they ran walls up and pulled everything, shattered things and pulled crap everywhere. Drank our jar water and didn’t offer to cover it afterward threw bottle on earth and in garage. I called Chris a mean of 20 days but he never returned calls. I would never recomend this so called Business to anybody.
