I moved from Minneapolis to NY. Upon coming my 60″ flat screen TV was lost. After making me wait 120 days while they”research” they provided me $5.94 according to the burden. I really don’t care about anything disclaimers that they might or might not have. Even a 60″ TV does not simply vanish, it had been stolen, probably by one of their workers because nobody else might have obtained access, and they can not even be bothered to try to do the ideal thing.
Because I really don’t know which business is that or who’s different, I am leaving testimonials for ALL of those. Note: I have left Yelp testimonials for Excalibur Transferring and MAAG Enterprise, in Addition to My Chicago Moving.
They’re TERRIBLE! Hire somebody else! I wound up getting stuck with a broker who whined and said they had been movers. They hired MAAG that’s already difficult to find on the internet or on DOT or anyplace. The business that delivered my things were My Chicago Transferring who stated they had been also MAAG Enterprises… odd. 1 company, two titles – or even more? Who knows? MAAG was not the title which picked up, possibly (as in name to the tops. I wish I would have written it down, however I did not ). They delivered my things in June, it is now January. I still do not own a settlement to my claim. I had a little movement, my things arrived in horrible condition. Boxes were busted (such as they had been dropped several times), a few pulled open, water damage to some small wooden tray tables, harm to bookshelves (since they taped them), harm to my brand-new miniature freezer, and much more. Furthermore, they stole a number of my things. I asked the movers about it, and they simply shrug saying that they got my things like this. Really? And you also do not attempt to re-tape it or do a damn thing to protect your client and their possessions. They tried to blame it on the trucks being scrutinized at stops. Yeah no, never heard of this or had it happen before in my own multiple moves. Anyways, upon calling them, they sent me into movingclaims.net. This has been a trial! It’s almost impossible to find someone on the telephone. You need to dig to get a few, then undergo an unlimited set of drives that creates the DMV seem easy. I literally went in circles with a single option after another to attempt to discover a mix that got me an individual. She had been horrible, rude, and unhelpful. After a couple of months, they get me straight back offering me $70! This really doesn’t even being to pay the harm nor compensate me for the extra $300 they needed to bill me since they could not match the truck in the parking lot here so they needed to move to a uhaul rather than Overall, the real worst move I have ever experienced! [Notice that MAAG Enterprise is in my own contract. The business that showed up said My Chicago Movers so who knows what title they could be using today. Assess DOT numbers, request previous names of the firm ].
These individuals are more than self indulgent – We transferred us the end of June 2016, and also our stuff came in early August with tens of thousands of dollars of harm – boxes smashed trashed. Their insurance company provided us $60 – for about $20,000.00 in harm –
When I could do it all again, I’d have turned into a U-Haul and proceeded everything myself. Really.
1. Quoted $2200. They based it upon volume (not fat ). After the movers arrived , they loaded around 2/3rds of the belongings, then explained that it might cost an extra $1,000. Or they can leave the remainder of it all there. No actual option here, as those who proceed usually must escape their existing home.
2. Verbally maintained delivery in three or four days. Deal stated 7 BUSINESS days (that is really 11 times, in my situation ). They overlooked that deadline, also originally, just provided $15/day in late delivery.
3. Delivery scheduled twice in which nobody showed up. No telephone calls. And nobody answered the telephone in the workplace or returned my messages.
4. The absence of communication, since the time stretched on, began to really freak me out. I kept leaving messages (and also at different phone numbers) begging somebody to phone me back and tell me in which my belonging had been found. No. One. Will. Ever. Call. You. Back. I was panicking, ” as a lawyer-friend of mine indicated that my possessions were really stolen.
5. The truck has been overpacked, since they place 3 families into 1 bath. Therefore, I’d damage to my possessions.
Pluses:
1. I’d get my possessions, finally. Except for this 1 box of wine glasses, that not showed.
2. The real movers (delivery men ) were fairly great. Respectful. And protective of the possessions.
However on the market:
1. I’ve asked for reimbursement for the delay and also to the damage to my possessions. I have never heard back yet.
The business was known as My Chicago Transferring but each one of the movers functioned on Olympia Moving Company so I figure they’re subcontracted. We travelled with this business since they completely assured our furniture to be sent by July 28th. The guys showed up one day overdue to package up the home. They filled all of our possessions onto two small trucks. They then unloaded the truck in their warehouse and then divides our belongings to a storage container. Rather than forcing our belongings right away they kept giving us the runaround about broken trucks and motorists that stopped. Consequently, 1 week after, they steered our possessions again and again reloaded them on a big truck. Our furniture has been sent one week after it must have been and as it is possible to imagine, from all of the motion, many things were broken up in the procedure. When I called regarding the broken things I had been told that they utilize an third party to deal with these statements and shipped me an email connection. No help in any way. Moving forward I’d rather find a business who really does a fantastic job and really cares and I’d pay extra money for great support.
I am currently representing a client who appreciated My Chicago Transferring to transfer his possessions. The truth – My Chicago Transferring was paid in total. They not only didn’t send the boxes into the compensated for and planned place, but they really placed my customer’s possessions in a storage device at a DIFFERENT town compared to the planned delivery place. A few weeks later, my customer had to cover and arrange for a different company to finish the undertaking. My Chicago Moving consented to reconcile my customer for their violation of contract. This was more than a month past. They won’t return telephone calls, correspondence or emails. That can be a predatory business that is dependent upon the great religion of unsuspecting customers.
