Well, I have not yet transferred, but I am lucky to have discovered Tara and her staff, who’ll be caring for every part of my forthcoming move from Toronto to Wawa, Ontario… a city way up north literally in the center of nowhere.

I have been severely depressed for the past two decades and had to make some significant soul-searching life modifications, thus the choice to go from the massive megalopolis that’s Toronto and around Wawa… God’s country… wide open spaces…

So now not only do I don’t have any movers, I can not actually get ahold of these to receive my deposit back.

We transferred our 1 bedroom apt from Halifax, NS to Barrie, ON. We had been told/estimated a flat rate of $1,400 after record every thing that we had been moving. We were informed we can put in a packaging fee that would be about $150. Once we moved back, we have a statement of $3,500 with a $600 packing fee. We talked with Nicole to attempt to fix the purchase price and possibly lower it. She was totally horrible to deal with and wouldn’t give us one great remedy to provide help. Very impolite and ingenuous. They were nearly 2k above their quote – quite unprofessional and I suggest staying away from the business in any way costs.

PLEASE READ testimonials of different men and women who got screwed like us. Wish that there were”minus five celebrities” to speed them. Even their website isn’t protected. They essentially hijacked our possessions and forced us to cover $2320 without a justification for those receipt or fees of any sort. Also anyone considering a class action lawsuit please contact me our household is prepared to take them to court in Quebec. This is a Number of the terror we moved through:

1. They alter appointment last minute from Saturday to Sunday. This totally skewed our preparation with preceding landlord and time to proceed our own flowers, mirrors etc..

2. A whole lot of hidden charges pop up after confirmation is routed and residue is approved. Loading fee, source fee, all of a sudden they rely each and every step even within the home as additional, etc..

3. Movers showed up late with bogus names (we discovered afterwards that they had been using fake names). Damaged the rear of the refrigerator (bumped it very hard down the staircase ) and the ground in the hallway (photos attached). Still no reaction in their”claims department” on indemnity of any sort.

4. Ability to extract from us payment in money according to a very, very overblown”flat rate” offer. When we refused they began adding stair prices, storage charges (a straightforward 5 kilometers off, WTF storage? ) ) And whatnot into the weighing option we selected. We still opted for weighing, even at a non-government scale – some other location where they could consider. For Christ’s sake, four appliances, a mattress, a couch and a couple shelving components, a desk and a commode. Not even 2000 pounds, they wanted to charge us flat rate for 3500 pounds. Even at 3500 pounds the”flat rate” came around ~$1500. I said”no, let us visit some scale”.

5. We went to two scales, refused at both areas (recall they transferred our appointment for Sunday, everything shut, incl. Their office and client services.) Here things actually started going backward. I attempt to negotiate something along the lines of $1300-1400 only so we can go home and they could proceed with different motions. “Boss stated you produce as much difficulty, he mailed us to authorities climb in Cornwall” WTF? Obviously boss not utilized to liability. Montreal-Cornwal is 150 kilometers, it would have a complete day to return. “Boss said”, they say and eliminate”to get Cornwall”. I say”Fine, bring me the slide out of the scale”.

6. 20 minutes after bath is a block away from our old location. I go to view them (believed they had been coming back into re-negotiate, but got lost). They say”We’ve got two other motions to complete, we complete them and then visit Cornwall, weigh and send your things”. I beg them to settle for a reasonable flat rate at 2500 pounds (according to the calculations per pound etc. could have cost appr. $1300 shirts ) and quit dragging all our stuff over the area. Mover states”go home, I’ll negotiate with my boss”.

7. A couple of hours after a call from a blocked number -“Tracy” frees us using a $2120 invoice in addition to the $200 that we already paid. “NON NEGOTIABLE”. I request breakdown, justification, excuse, she states”I compose the bill, the movers have the breakdown”. I attempt to text and call that the movers, no fortune. She explained (my spouse is watch )”if you would like your possessions, you cover. I invite you to telephone law enforcement, I understand what they will say. Authorities had been called on us lots of occasions. They’ll inform you that this is a civil issue” Subsequently yells at me for a couple of minutes for insulting the something or movers. Even though the entire time I was too considerate together. She even”warned” me to leave them alone when they arrived together with our possessions. We go back and forth, she won’t email any file for the price tag, no number to call back, insisting on the 2120 equilibrium in 15 minutes or even”she’ll recondition the truck into a storage location”. I say”so this is the ransom?” She states (my spouse is watch )”yes sir this is the ransom”.

8. Movers show up, accumulate our money and signal a”reception” with another name. Refuse to show ID using the words”I don’t understand just how far you’ll take this”.

9 Multiple mails exchanged with”asserts” division, their most generous supply is $100 discount. Still no rationale, no word about the damages. Taking them to small claims court at Quebec

Really unhappy with transferring expertise. We picked the firm dependent on the total score online but ended up with the worse experience.
The pickup day has been missed and we were not informed, after phoning the business a couple of times, they eventually affirmed the driver missed the pickup and rescheduled another pickup to get a couple of days after. We had to reschedule our journey to the new place due to the delay.
The the drop off was postponed by a couple of days. They guaranteed max 6 business days to provide but ended up providing with a couple of delay. Again this is later we phoned the customer support line a few times to discover if they’ll deliver the products.
Eventually Furniture came with damages around, and missing bits, broken dishes, broken and chipped wooden bits. They provided $200 reimbursement to pay for the damage that hardly covers the price of these damage/missed items, along with the cost we paid to transfer all of the things (near $3200). Today we must pay additional to some junk removal business to take these broken furniture off.

I wish I had not been duped by Tara’s (their relocation adviser ) allure. Up until making your payment, then they will guarantee you the moon on a silver platter. Later, all trace of professionalism or even fundamental respect is missing. They called us that the day ahead of our scheduled delivery to state they’d be arriving at 7-8 pm rather than 7-8 am since they took on a new occupation that stinks with ours. They provided us a 5 percent reduction for the shift. We compared this change for all legitimate reasons including our buddies having taken the day off from work to help us unpack, having made arrangements for our pet to be boarded throughout the transfer, our brand new construction’s policy of not permitting move-in actions after working hours and, above all, the simple fact that we had been leaving the nation in two days. They assured us they’d arrive at 10 am (we’ve got that in writing). The following day was a string of telephone calls to notify us they can’t make it in the scheduled period (first 10 am, subsequently 11:30 am, then 1 pm, then 4 pm, then 5-6 pm). The reasons provided were very varied: the motorists were tired and needed to stop to rest; the motorists got stopped by the authorities for two hours; a customer suddenly asked the delivery of their belongings that were stored in storage; a customer misplaced some very important medication from the moving boxes as well as the delay was needed so as to search for it and recover it; another (or possibly the same) client abruptly had 15,000 pounds of things to move and that took considerably longer than expected. They finally arrived at 7 pm and left around 11 pm. The move-out was uneventful, but the move-in was quite sloppy (their workers told us that they had been scheduled for still another task after us!) . They refused to reassemble our mattress, which they themselves had disassembled a couple of days earlier (we’d paid 75$ especially with this support ) and they dropped half of those bits to a bookshelf which now cannot be reassembled either. We obviously complained about all of this and we had been advised to submit a complaint. Following 3 months, their answer was that (a) that they aren’t responsible for”delay brought on by highway obstruction, climate conditions, faulty or impassable highways, or insufficient ability of any street, bridge or ferry, or trigger by breakdown or mechanical flaw or automobiles or equipment or by any cause aside from negligence of the carrier” (hello? You gave us entirely different motives for your delay, beginning with having taken to a much better paying job as a consequence of that you’re offering us a 5 percent reduction ), (b) With respect to the missing portions of your bookcase, […] Please check cautiously while unpacking, since you will discover the bits in question recorded in place, and (c) they totally ignored the promise regarding the failure to reassemble our mattress. This is what you might expect from this business. We’re moving forward with an official complaint to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services for misrepresentation under Section (14) 1 of the Consumer Protection Act (2002), since they promised to provide a product or service when they knew or ought to have known that it wasn’t possible. “Firms” like this shouldn’t exist.

They didn’t honor the agreed upon shifting time and even altered the time twice on the afternoon of! They were overdue for the time that they settled on which was after 5pm! I’d not have agreed to begin moving at 5 as a single mother with two infants however all of my items were already packed up and up from the cellar it was a nightmare. UNPROFESSIONAL! This didn’t occur with the past moving firm I used called ADT.

Tara is the person who gives you all of the advice and assists you with all the contract but then acts like she doesn’t have an idea whenever you have questions concerning why she promised something and it ends up being just another.
O a different note, the real movers were fantastic and profesional.

They were extremely deceiving with their quotation although I went through all of my things together. BUYER BEWARE!!

Never Again!!

I dont even have enough bad things to say about the provider. Invoice double the quotation, ton of additional fees. Transferring date postponed twice. Issues with packaging. Workers are tough to get a grasp of. Movers were overdue. Moveme Again, you’ll never move me again, it is only a matter of time till you are out of business.
