I was approached by American Roadway who’s a broker for this business regarding a transfer in NJ to Indiana, They gave me what was a fair price and over the industry standard of $1468 for 317 cubic feet. We went item by item of everything I had in my storage device. The afternoon Mosley Van Lines were to arrive that they pushed back the period 3 days. They finally came at 7:30 pm that was 5 1/2 hours late. I needed to be from the storage device or cover a month. I opened the device and without missing a beat the individual they shipped out of Mosley Van Lines said it’d be 2600. He told him he wasn’t loading the truck. Then they moved to $2050. They understood I couldn’t locate a mover by Monday and they understood I had no option. What they do not understand is That I’m filing complaints with the US Department of Transportation, ” The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the American Moving and Storage Association. As soon as I contacted American Roadway they stated that they were going to check in to it and called daily to inform me that they were still trying to get in contact with the movers. The movers contacted me 4 days before I was supposed to come home and stated they had been delivering my items that day and they needed money only. I contacted American Roadway back and they phoned them. I inquired again about the matter with cost and they gave me their everyday regular response. I then told them I needed a response now. I received an email from them telling me that I need to contact the company that they hired and work it out myself because the company was reluctant to work together because they could not convince them to do anything

Mosley Van Lines
Eek! Methinks not.
I would like to have to go down this street, and’m not normally one to depart reviews on the internet, but I want to be certain nobody else suffers the identical fate as me. Please do not ever use Mosely Van Lines. They’re unprofessional, unreliable, con artists who will ruin your possessions.
I tried to utilize Mosley for my transfer this past April in New York City to Tampa, Florida.
For starters to the day of my transfer, Mosely phoned me a half hour prior to the agreed upon pickup time of 3pm, and advised me that they wouldn’t be able to arrive before the next day. I wasn’t pleased with this shift but managed to correct my schedule to the subsequent day. Since the transfer date has been shifted I then made strategies and went on my day. At approximately 8:45pm this day. I receive a call from an unidentified amount, stating he’s the driver and is on route to pick up my possessions. I’d no idea who this individual was. I instantly phoned the Mosley contact, and she informed me that yes that was indeed their motorist and that office intended to call mepersonally. Red Flag #1
At approximately 9pm, the drivers Appear at a Budget Rent a Truck. Red Flag #2. The crew commented on just how little my transfer was and asked why I did not only let a U-Haul. I informed them, I needed to be sure nothing was ruined and also have my move professionally performed.
They jumped to load my possessions on the vehicle, like thieves in the dark. When the truck had been loaded that the mind of the team tells me, that the job has been underestimated, The quotation of 1800 was incorrect and the new fee would be $3600. Dual!! I had been like that can not be correct. And asked how they came up with this amount. And he explained it had been predicated on distance onto the truck. He brings me out to reveal that the truck, and it’s pitch black with no lighting. Telling me that the truck is marked as well as your belongings is consuming 900 cubic feet. I had no recourse now as everything had been loaded. I paid the team leader, It needed to be cash or money order only. Another red flag.
This morning I promptly called the office demanding that they re-measure my possessions and re-calculate my cubic feet. As I had three distinct quotes (in house ) and all were at the 450-500 cu ft array. The unprofessional staff gave me the run around for the better part of 2 weeks without a resolution. Ultimately the afternoon my possessions were scheduled to be sent, and after I threatened them with a much better business bureau complaint they corrected the sum from $3600 to $2400.
Together with the last balance needing to be paid prior to the vehicle was unloaded. The movers then didn’t put together some of the furniture that they disassembled. As soon as I went to assemble my furniture, I discovered my bed ruined and 2 drawers completely lost. When I called the office I had been told there’s nothing we could do, telephone Anthem that’s the insurance policy co..
I’m still attempting to find this claim processed.
Please if you’re thinking about Mosely, run from the opposite direction and use a respectable business. You will spend more but the reassurance will be well worth it.
The worst company of any sort I have ever addressed.
They ruined both the house I was moving out of and that I was going to. They ruined furniture, forgot things, lost things and compelled me to leave behind things of face boundless cost gains. They threatened to cancel my ling space transfer 36 hours before closure unless I payed them additional and they wanted money – not checks or credit. I told them that the driveway was 52′ long in which I had been going to however when they came with an 18 wheeler they began yelling an cursing telling me that the truck wouldn’t match and I would need to pay $900 longer to transfer the furnishings into a bigger truck. It began with a more compact truck at MA. They opted to transfer products to 18 wheeler in NJ and then complained when the 18 wheeler didn’t fit in the drive.
My neighbors called the police who seemed in the scene following movers left with broken furniture all around along with the police officer shook his head and said I need to file a civil suit since hadn’t seen anything following a inspector leaves. Moving blankets still on the boxes and furniture haphazardly strewn everywhere.
I wouldn’t want these movers on my worst enemy. They’re actually the”movers out of hell”
We had been quoted about $3,300 for a 534 cubic foot quote. While they were loading the truck, they advised us that the quote was likely too high and that we’d spend less than the quote. After the truck had been loaded in 1:30 pm, we had been advised that our furniture took up 1400 cubic feet, the price could currently be around $6,400, and that we’d lose our $1,600 non-refundable deposit when we backed out. We had no means of confirming the 1400 cubic foot representation sprinkled eliminating everything in the vehicle, which might require hours and it was already 1:30 a.m.. When they sent the furniture, then it had been obvious that our furniture took up just about 720 cubic feet on the truck. I quantified. They refuse to repay the excess charges which are clearly based upon fraud.
This business is a farce. Fees me to get 13300 pounds. However, if the vehicle got here, I had it weighed prior to and after unloading it. The weight that they billed me for was 13330 pounds. @ 0.62 a pound. The true weight was 5540 pounds. Together with the overcharge, they dropped ( or stole) more then half of their possessions. I phoned Mosley and they ceased taking my calls. I phoned their insurance provider and was advised that Mosley is no longer covered. They also go by the title of Luxury Van Lines.
No communication in the firm once the motorists are running late, and now I am speaking 13 hours late on pickup and that way a complete day late on shipping. Whoever answers the most important phone number is rude as hell also continues to be hardly any assistance. Driver that did pickup was amazing, after he got into us.
They tell you one estimate, then as soon as they have all your products that they double it! Then they threaten you with insane storage charges if you don’t agree to cover them. They require you WIRE the cash and then pay the fall off motorist at USPS money orders only.
Charged me 4700 cubic feet (that is not possible to fit into a 53′ trailer) and after I called him out on his BS he informs me to cover or else. I’ve attached an image of the truck.
Little transfer from Philadelphia into Michigan. Initial estimate improved by 1/3 in the pickup point. At shipping, they just dropped off things in to garage. Don’t go into home or cellar as contract supplied. They wanted more cash for it. Don’t respond to telephone calls. Terrible experience. Would equate that movement to tow truck operator.
A moving agent from TN employed a lowball strategy in collusion with Mosley Van Lines Nationwide Movers to fasten my transfer from Maine to Virginia. Mosley Van Lines Nationwide Movers subsequently kept my possessions hostage and billed $3000 greater than the initial estimate.
I would like to begin by saying I despise having to leave a negative inspection and it requires a massive problem for me to feel that the necessity to sit down and leave unwanted remarks. Mitch the sales man completely suppressed my occupation that I asked to get a darkroom (two Enlargers, a 42″ Colenta Commercial Printing chip, various darkroom gear ) and two grills that the be packed and sent The quote I received was 1500 the cost I wound up paying $3450. Mitch was nowhere available during the whole moving process and in the conclusion while I was paying he checked in with an”I’m on it” to not be heard from again. Mike the Mover was amazing and wrapped my things just like it was about to distance. The problems continued 48 hrs ltr when while in visitors that the distributor known as five times in a row and once I eventually picked up the telephone while in visitors was yelled at inquiring if I could accept delivery which afternoon (significance within 5 times ) (my delivery has been scheduled 15 times ltr) I said I couldn’t speak and it resulted in a crying game while I was at traffic end with me asking when he could see what the newspaper stated and him hanging me up. When I phoned the following day to attempt to help out I had been yelled at and hung up on by the distributor. While the girl who answered the telephone was always pleasant it didn’t help when just 4/5’s of my $10,000 42″ print chip showed up. Also missing was a back full of sentimental items, a hand bath, sticks into a shelf. Arrived damaged has been the rack to the chip and my printing wash basin. I had been told I could submit a claim on those things but only if I’ve receipts. Really!? In addition to this, the insurance is only going to cover the missing box rather than the value of this machine this firm rendered useless. Therefore that it cost $13000 for to the point at which I’m now writing this. Your cash is futile I’m stuck and rested at moving hell.
Mosley Van Lines recently finished a move for me personally from Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX. My initial Binding Estimate was for $1500, which they then tripled on the afternoon of their pickup to a total of 3900. I attempted many times to get Accounting and Organization to solve this because the day of the transfer, but no action was taken on their own part. Communication with this particular company has been close to hopeless from the beginning. I’ve been the sole initiating each of the calls differently there would be no communication in any way. In reality, there was an entire absence of communication with all the movers on the day of the transfer. I specifically asked a morning time slot, and that they had consented to but didn’t arrive until 7 pm that day. Following the driver had packaged a vast majority of these things, he advised me that I’d probably arrive in below the next quote. This sounded fair since I’d eliminated a number of the bigger items from the quote, such as a dresser and armoire. Then he returned 20 minutes later and said that I exceeded the estimate by 150 cubic feet. Regardless, this is a binding quotation so that he shouldn’t have been in a position to alter it.
Originally I was told that delivery will be 5-7 days after pickup. After one week, I phoned again and was told it’d be yet another 5-7 days. I was finally given the direct contact with the driver that informed me that my delivery will be on April 4th. He then called me that afternoon to inform me he had been running behind schedule. I know that there are occasions out of our hands, but the way and tone where he talked to both me and my family was both improper and unprofessional. To provide an illustration, he responded to a question I’d requested by stating,”Allow me to push a magic button and then see whether I could find that done for you. No more the magic button did not work.” In the close of the telephone, the driver worried that he would only accept money order or cash as forms of payment, otherwise he wouldn’t unload my things.
On April 5th, the movers finally came. We asked to cover the motorist half upfront and the rest after the movement was complete. Having moved a few times earlier, I understand that it is customary to cover the driver following the shipping was completed. He refused and threatened to continue to keep my items until I paid in full. After committing the money order to the motorist, my father asked him to rip off the top part however he refused. Luckily, we left a backup. It was apparent that they had tried to neatly organize my things in the vehicle, however the things had definitely been mishandled as lots of the boxes had been crushed, ruined, and opened. The things which were damaged/broken comprise a desk, mirror, steamer, mattress, and headboard. I was really appalled to find out that they broke the steamer and taped it back together believing I wouldn’t realize that it had been broken. There have been also several things missing from the itemized record containing a coffee table and lamp color. Additionally, I received several things belonging to other clients. The driver said that he did an inventory test and everything on the record was around the truck. I requested him to go through it together and he denied. He requested him to make a copy of the itemized checklist that he had been holding and that he refused to do this too. What was even more upsetting was that he threatened my father and mistreated him in Arabic. The driver continued to fight us every step along the way and wouldn’t take any liability. I have included before and after images of all of the damaged items.
This can’t even be described as a poor moving encounter. It’s definitely a scam. This is my final and formal effort to submit a claim and solve this directly with the business. I’ve already submitted formal complaints to the Attorney General’s Office and the FBI.
So I phoned that company and talked with Mitch. He was quite helpful on the telephone and quite detailed little did I know he is a liar. The movers showed up a day earlier I had been told that they were coming so that I was not ready for them but went forward with the procedure. Since the mover goes through the pricing that I instantly figure out that not one of those additional fees his is speaking about were cited throughout my consultation by Mitch and really I had been told what that he was saying were additional were contained in my quoted cost. The cost I had been told was twice the quoted cost. So I am calling Mitch and he’s vanished into thin air. I have not spoken with him because he said that the movers were coming to 11/5/18. Hence that the mover requests me to choose a drop off date. He says that my things will be sent to Phx and set in a completely free 30 day storage over fourteen days. I say that I am heading out of town and will not maintain Phx till after Thanksgiving so could I be in a position to predict once I return to get my own items delivered even before the selected date of 12/3/18 the Agency states yes. The following day after my belongings has been picked up I receive a call from the company telling me that my driver was on the road. I’m like excuse me….my material was picked up daily before so that I went through the entire ordeal of these attempting to find my things and heard they had gotten me mixed up with a different customer. So I go on holiday with m household for Thanksgiving and once I access to Phx I predict after Thanksgiving either a day or two after and I am told that they do not understand where my stuff is everywhere. I am told it might be at Phx or at Atl still. Now it is late November following the two week indicate that my material was suppose to maintain Phx. While I call I am told because I had picked 12/3 because the fall off date that they had two weeks from this date to deliver my things. I kept trying to clarify that this wasn’t at all what I’ve had been informed but the secretary appeared annoyed with me and did not even handle the misinformation I had been granted. She said that she’d possess the catalyst reach me out. I had a motorist hit me out and I inquired about my delivery plus that he said he didn’t know whether my stuff was at GA or AZ so naturally I am angry at this stage he said he’d contact me back with more information. I never got a call back from him and that he has not answered one phone or text message just like Mitch he apparently disappeared with no trace. So I call back the office to be able to find advice about my belongings and again the woman keeps repeating that they have 3 months in the 3rd of December to send and she wasn’t certain where my stuff has been. She says she’d seek out and call me back in one hour. I never got a call back. I phoned again and now I can not get through nobody is answering my calls. I keel phoning and again no response. I call with my mum’s phone and miraculously I undergo. It looked like when she understood that it was me she was immediately annoyed. Again this telephone call went no where and that I still don’t have a fall off date because of my own stuff. Now it has been two months and my substance is still gone with no trace. I’ve absolutely nothing no clothing, no clothes, my infants things out when they had been born just like their very first foot print in the hospital items I can not replace. I have filed a BBB complaint against this business and today I am continuing on to legal help. I’m beyond disappointed and frustrated that a business would take care of any client in this issue. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE experienced that amount of uncertainty from a business before and I do not mean to allow them to get away with this whatsoever. I am not sure the state or place of my items but I expect to get them back into my possession shortly. THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE PLEASE DO NOT DI BUSINESS WITH THEM!
The way the hell they receive 5 stars is incredible! . Worse business ever. Our stuff wasn’t securely packaged to begin. Delivered late. Damaged dressers, ripped mattress, and many broken boxes and not to mention, they dropped some of our possessions. Tremendous insurance policy hassle and lost things that we’ll never return. They clearly do not have any idea about what they’re doing. Please search for different businesses. I can supply pics if you require. Just dreadful. Even 1 celebrity is overrated.
My things had been picked up on 11/05/2018; later having to be picked up on 11/01/2018 initially. They did not complete loading the truck before 12AM around 11/06/2018. That is after I had been called and advised that the truck would not arrive until the next day, since it had been”broken”. I’d 50 bits 23 items in my very first contract (a couple of that can be thought of Queen Bed- With Mattress and Twin bed with Mattress). When they loaded up the items, they itemized each area of the mattress, providing me 61 bits total. They voiced that I’d more things, and rather than 400 cubic feet, it had been totaling at 900. A new cost was not negotiated. They loaded my things on the vehicle, composed a brand new cost. Rather than 824 at shipping; I would be paying 3,589. My things must be sent on 11/17/2018. I’ve been told each week that my cargo is arriving”next weekend”, provided several explanations,”busted truck”,”poor weather”,”may not get a grasp of this motorist”. Earlier this month, I had been told it had been broken up at Oklahoma (for approximately a week), now I find out it is”somewhere in Missouri”. Still do not have a shipping date. Nobody requires you back, so it becomes the task to call them daily; they will also give you the amount to the motorist to determine whether you’re able to get to the motorist to observe at which the dispatch is. Nobody can really clarify the up cost, they become frustrated and will shout at you. Policies and costs vary based on who you are speaking about. When request a discount on cargo delivery because of delay, 1 day you are told it is a 21 company day window till it is over thanks, than it is 15-20 per day every day it is late. Someone else will probably tell you it is 14 days before its believed over thanks. I can only imagine the state of my dispatch, if it actually arrives. This business shows no guilt, in almost any inadequate service that they provide.
Absolutely dreadful experience. The compelled us to proceed a day before our planned movement. Promised us that a $300 reduction which we never obtained. And originally overcharged us by 600 cubic feet. We quantified our load once the truck came and rather than 1020 cubic feet that our real load was 417 cubit ft and just 10 cubic feet away our first quote. We attempted to rectify this problem but Mosley maintained that our items weren’t stackable although when our objects had been picked up they had been piled from floor to ceiling. Mosley compelled us to cover the dead space from the truck including 200% feed into the price. Literally around $1,000 of additional fees for dead distance. Quite literally sneaking. If wind up stuck for this firm. Quantify everything on first pickup and shoot images of your load before and afterwards.
First off, the advantages: Our materials arrived in the faster end of the feasible window – 4 times select up for delivery. This was really handy. All of our things, however one, came unbroken – and also the 1 bit was somewhat flimsy to begin (that is obviously without needing opened all of our boxes yet but the bigger items at the least ).
The Terrible: The mess left after fall off – packaging tape, shrink wrapping, and surplus cardboard used for security – was all left in the area and in numerous areas. A few things weren’t put as requested (like one piece of furniture upside down, and quite a hefty chest left askew at the center of the space when requested to be set in the foot of their mattress ). At pickup, it was obvious that two of these movers shot a pot-smoking fracture when they arrived back into the flat (do everything you need but maybe not on the clock men ).
The bad: On pickup, we were providing a window of two to 4 pm, and we’ve got a call that afternoon about 7:00 AM stating they were prepared to pickup. After some hustling about to look after some last minute items we agreed on 10:00 AM. They did not arrive until approximately 15 minutes prior to the authentic original pickup time of 2:00 PM. If we had not hurried about and dropped half of the day waiting – I would just have predicted this punctually but if you state you’re going to be there 4 hours early you ought to honor this. On pickup there was approximately one hour lull in productivity as a result of foreman needing to run to find money for one of the men during which time no job was happening. In addition they took a seemingly very long time to load the truck up (estimated as 5 hours to get a 2BR Apt). Like other reviews, falling below the lousy segment is the shift in price of this ceremony. What started out as being quoted as only under 800 cuft turned to 1300 cuft together with all the fitting increase in price. The foreman was really great about noting at the beginning that he believed it would require more space compared to quoted – but he also threw out an amount of 850 to 900 cuft. Added service on the invoice included a gap in worth on quoted pricing too.
I can’t recommend them since there are probably better services available for the price that they ended up coming in at, even though the foreman was quite detailed about the development of this space being used. Alas, that does not help at the point if there’s not any other alternative than to go together with the support and/or allow them to continue because I’m pretty certain they are not unloaded for free should you determine that the extra $2000 was not on your programs.
Another movers were friendly and decent, but again not putting some things where asked when I wasn’t overly particular where the majority of the boxes moved was somewhat frustrating.
I expected less and obtained more. The site was user friendly and that I was contacted immediately by numerous local moving companies. Everything worked seamlessly via Mosley Van Lines and saved me a great deal of time attempting to come across decent movers. I did use a few of those firms that contacted me first, and they were exceptional.
It was fine to have a clearer idea of all of the choices offered to me in 1 place! This website definitely let me stream line my movement and understand I was not stuck with just one company!
Mosley Van Lines – that the finest moving company I have ever employed. Had two groups -one going to the bunny and yet another moving from the bunny… exceptional, friendly, effective, took care of my antiques and art. THANK YOU,” Mosley Van Lines!!
Mosley Van Lines has been fantastic! They were professional and punctual, they moved fast and economically. We’d substantial pieces of furniture in addition to household antiques – they packed the pieces nicely and transferred them with caution. We’ve got 3 flights of stairs in which we proceeded, they steered them nicely without any damage to furniture or walls! I urge them and will use them again.
