Modern Movers….be cautious of all of the great things you see or have been informed by them or anybody else. Among the worst experiences I’ve ever had! I’ve not employed a moving company previously (and never will again) and believed it’d be less trying to employ a respectable business to move my items around 1500 miles. To the contrary, I’d have been far better off renting a UHaul and carrying it myself! They didn’t inform me of this”delivery extend” (not obtaining your possessions for two wks!) Until two weeks before they were to appear and load up the truck. I never got any calls in relation to my things showing up in my new location, I needed to keep making each of the calls on them, even when they altered the shipping date in the last moment! Subsequently the continuous whining of the shipping driver once he eventually showed was completely annoying and his helper has been futile. I wound up carrying nearly all of my things in my new place myself only so they’d leave earlier! The helper even commented on me tipping. . .really?? Sooo unprofessional! Then to top it off, and a few of my boxes have been smashed, even ones who had’delicate’ written all over them! It was evident they didn’t show some appreciation for my own possessions. So, naturally, a number of my dinner dishes, serving bowl & sausage were all broken. Together with a floor lamp and crystal margarita glass. They then denied my promise! Even with me forgoing the glass and lamp only so that they exchanged the dishes (enormous matching set that’s stopped ). Additionally, I provided them images of the state of the boxes, but not even an apology originated out of them. . .nothing! I feel totally ripped off! So think twice before selecting a business for the big move. You will save yourself lots of heartache and money with the home improvement choice! And you also won’t need to wait for two wks for all of your stuff!

The movers came early, worked effectively and were very careful with our materials. Everybody at Modern Movers was quite helpful I’d recommend them to anybody.

Our experience couldn’t have been any better with Modern Movers. We read so many reviews and horror stories about moving companies, I absolutely was going to provide credit to a business that does it work – so here it is! They had been the only firm that came out and did an in home quote (setup two other people – no revealed ) and gave us a not to exceed warranty. They weren’t the lowest but were extremely affordable and the online quotes couldn’t be guaranteed anyways. The driver (Tom) was exactly on time the day they stated they’d be there and he, Mike, and Juan did an superb job getting everything wrapped and outside of the home quickly and economically and were a joy to use. They had been fantastic working about us and answered all our queries. We also sent an automobile and also unlike other moving companies it belongs directly on the truck along with our furniture! Another thing we all really enjoyed is that Tom was with our possessions in the time that they loaded into the time that they delivered. Everything came right when they said it would and not something was damaged or broken (although we were not the finest packers!!) This firm was our pick from the 50 that predicted and called each and every day and we absolutely made the proper option. We don’t have one complaint regarding Modern Movers- by their salesman for their own office staff to their own drivers and movers- all very professional and we won’t be afraid to phone them for our second major move!

I concur with stefanie, unprofessional,whining, mover. The employees were fantastic and worked out hard. When furniture came, boss of apt bldg at Chgo, watched the truck, but they then left. The inspector whined the entire time. Had no gear, he was slovenly, and the boxes had been smashed and a few hummels were crushed .my hutch was utilized for an eating area and their spots from the drawers and soo much more!!!!! I mentioned to the organization and said I’d photographs of all of the damages, they stated no need.after a lengthy wait I got a check for $12.00 bucks. I’m sending it back I believe they want it more than I do…

I have had to move frequently due to work and I must say from 12 days I have hired movers, this is the most bizarre experience.  The cost was so great that we could employ them to help us package and what a difference that made. We’ve got a 2.5 year old and knew it was going to be hard to maneuver across the nation with a toddler without a family to assist.
Modern Movers created the entire experience quite stress free. They took good care of all and took such excellent care of their stuff. They even made it a priority to receive all of the furniture in my kid’s room off the truck first and the crib rebuilt so that he can have a rest that first morning at the new residence. They really set the boxes in the ideal rooms since they were indicated. Previously I discovered other movers do not listen and you find things that goes down stairs at the dining area was put up on your master bedroom. These guys got it right, which cut down on so much of this hassel of unpacking.
They even helped us locate any lamps and lightbulbs which were packed out so that we would not be left in the dark that first evening. I have never had movers who really cared that you’re all settled, until they drove away. I’d suggest them to anybody.

By the day I phoned Morden Movers into the day of all our things I had been happy with the total experience. While I was waiting at the workplace to speak to the clerk that had been on the telephone to finish my newspaper work and also big up several free boxes that are used. Notice: late pickup was because employee sickness. I as given a reduction to compensate. The cost quoted was right including the aforementioned reduction. All workers were exceptional including packers, Kerri and kelvin, and deliverer, Pablo. When the packers came, they packed everything and tagged each one of the boxes. They were particularity cautious with my delicate products. I had been gathered at fast they ended. The deliverer was also quite effective. Everything was delivered in excellent condition. I would strongly urge modern movers.

We had some big heavy things that had moved into our new property. It turned out to be a neighborhood move from 1 side of Fort Myers into another. The contents also included a piano. Movers were professional and prompt. They were more efficient and powerful so that I did not worry that they’d fall something or injure themselves while still transferring the products.
The office staff was very helpful in working out the specifics and providing us a cost straight away on the telephone. We had been costed from the approximate weight and the amount of men necessary to move the products. The price was $150 per hour for 3 hours minimum. In addition they brought boxes and packaged with flat screen TV and big 7ft mirror.
I would strongly recommend them to your moving needs.

The men were there on time, quite professional and friendly, effective and obtained done inside the quoted period. I would highly recommended that this moving business. Some folks I know transferred exactly the identical weekend I did, they did them and they lost their dining room table and ruined it. They ought to have utilized Modern Movers such as I did. Our Modern Movers, John and Eric were so amazing.  They have been on time, very good listeners, both professional and quite wonderful. There’s not any greater feeling than having the ability to trust a business with precious possessions and it began when I left the telephone for their office every time a fantastic and very caring girl named Jami promised me everything will work out nicely and she was perfect. Our complaints together with the  pickup and shipping went relatively easy. However, we did have any damages. And that’s exactly what this review relates to.  Three months after  we have settled and unpacked we took photos and made notes of many things which were damaged. We sent this to Modern Movers without a reply from us, we started making phone calls and after a few weeks received a test for one-fifth of their charge to fix items that Modern Movers packedwith To be more particular from the harms that Modern Movers had packaged was scrapes on Steinway piano, fresh clothing dryer bent/damage on the top, wood classic bedroom side table scraped, and glass plate broken.

We had been going from TX back to FL and have been advised to cover 3,300$ After each of our furniture was loaded and already in Fl they jacked that cost around 4,600$ and wouldn’t deliver furniture until paid! After angry craziness and we paid our brand new walls were scuffed right and left!!! NEVER EVER WILL USE THEM AGAIN!!! I was quite disappointed and would highly advise against that firm

I’ve moved twice in the last 3 years Throughout the nation – I had been scammed but one firm and taken well care of by the Modern Movers!!!   What a Fantastic experience – that they have been professional, thorough, and attentive.   They were fair and our quotation was respected. (another firm increased my bill by $6000 and held my things hostage).   You’ll not have any regrets utilizing this business!!!!

Modern Movers was amazing from begin to finish….Bob Broderick was my own Sales Rep who not only fulfilled all of my requirements however, he was also really helpful and professional with all any/all of my inquiries and questions.  I also worked closely together with the dispatch section, Suzy, and that I fulfilled all demands of mine for example pickup and delivery dates.  I strongly suggest Modern Movers for any future proceeds as I understand I will certainly be using this business over and over again!!

I’ve not ever heard of the this business till I did my study. The office materials are so friendly and honest. They cared for me all from the begning before the end. They really treated me like family.
30 decades of support they’ve been doing something right. In the beginning the inspector were fine and respectful and handled my items with care.

They office supply me with information which other companies didn’t. This firm is indeed fare.

I had a very bad experience with Modern Movers.   Originally they moved our things into storage and then that part was exceptional – I had been really impressed.   Several years afterwards, after constantly paying my storage charges, I decided to return into the UK which was when things went bad.   They took ages to reply mails, were very late in receiving quotes and pulled their feet much more when I needed to get a date for sending out.   I had to threaten legal actions at one stage to get a response to a regular email.   In the long run it took me more than four weeks from requesting a quotation to obtaining my stuff sent. Absolutely ridiculous customer support.   Avoid at any cost.

I continue seeing how they’ve made adjustments and things are better today but no!!!! We’d ruined furniture that they refused to mend because their men vow they did do it. Well duh? Why not they deny it. We registered a claim as requested and 4 months after we’re still calling with no return calls since the man that copes with this is at the center of something in the time of our telephone. Fat chance they’ve made adjustments for the better….more as they’ve made changes which make them better in preventing paying claims for harm done by their own movers! Do not use this business!!! I will be back to update this because this claim progresses….lets see whether they could make this correct or not???

The four movers who moved our whole home from 1 facet of Naples (moving from a unit with stairs) to our new residence were outstanding. They moved out of the way to assure that all of the furniture has been put precisely where we needed it until they left. They finished an inventory to cover all furniture, art, etc. which was packaged in the first home came in its new destination in precisely the exact same state as when it was packaged. They were instantaneous arriving to begin the job, ready using boxes and shrink wrap, mats, pads, and the whole house was transferred in under a day. I recommend these people to anybody. We transferred us in Florida to Connecticut. The group in the Florida ending proved quite excellent. Pleasant, effective and helpfuf. This wasn’t true in the northern end. They never checked the road before hand and the truck couldn’t make it in to our condominium complex. They had to lease a truck out of Home Depot that has been smaller. Thus they needed to unload, reload and unload again. No real surprise that the badly broken three things. . .one a classic. Again no real surprise that the 3 guys all refused knowing how it occurred. Additionally, I found clothes and bed linens pushed into a drawer….not in which they generally belong. How did this happen.The really astonishing part is that they charged us to the leasing of the vehicle. Sounds to people , it was their mistake but we needed to cover.
Should you use them, make certain you take out add’auto insurance and ask they assess that the truck route.

Horrible support! Was initially billed to transfer a grand piano in a distinct truck, using another charge from all their family products. They then awakened my home products (11,000 pounds ) in an almost complete semi. They did not even have space to their dollies to match indoors, it was so full. When my things came from the semi, then they started the rear door along with also the grand piano was in there having a great deal of spare space in the trunk. Not one of my dispatch was moved ahead, so that there shouldn’t have been space to spare, not to mind the piano in the very back of this truck. And of course that I had been billed AGAIN to the weight/transportation of this piano! Obviously, lots of my own items/boxes were lost. Most were matters left for me by my own grandparents and parents, which may not be replaced. A number of high ticket items were also missing. Of those boxes/items which were abandoned, a great 40 percent were broken or damaged. The driver (who had been brand new, rather than a part of the first band in FL) called the office a few times to complain, and they hung up on him. This occurred before me, even while he had his phone on speaker! Nobody from the initial packaging (FL) was in the delivery end, as will be demanded. Obviously, the motorist stopped that day. I wouldn’t recommend this business to anybody! I would never even give it 1 star, even if it weren’t demanded!!!!

Modern movers did a very wonderful project moving our belongings out of Cape Coral into NC. Everything was just as they said it’d be and they did not over control us. I would strongly recommend this organization. Everything came with no marker on it and when they said it could! No hidden charges!

This was the next time that I have used Modern Movers within the 16 years I’ve lived in the region. They’ve been always great to the point I didn’t even look into other alternatives. I trust them! If they could choose the attention that they constantly have of my grandma’s china cabinet, moving it like it was their very own, that’s all I want to understand. In the first quote, getting boxes out of the box guy, both the movers and the follow up, they were prompt, considerate, right on on the quote, answered all inquiries, put up with my transfer pressure. . .what more can I ask for. I strongly suggest them.

Don’t use them. I’m still assessing the damage. They packaged and moved me out of Naples. The folks packing almost set my home on fire by placing paper on my cooker that began smoking. What I did not understand at the time was that they were wrap a Waterford lamp that’s burnt and burnt on top. The bed sheets were improperly attached to the beds and they’re custom beds and so are missing. Waterford sconces were in the base of lamps and that I worried to be cautious with them. Among my tilt top tables needed the tiny screw removed and today we can’t locate the bit to put it together. I’ve moved the exact same furniture for 30 years about ten days and I have not had these difficulties. We did have somebody unload us out of the storage device here as they were planning to bill us $2800 to save us for a single month and transfer us back again. I also attempted to change the arrival date however they wouldn’t accommodate me. Additionally, their quotation was reduced. . .to low I now realize. The true price went up substantially.It was almost exactly like the firm I was planning to utilize. They shouldn’t be in company. I shall update this as I continue to unpack. I felt bullied from the office team.

Cracked the display of a 42″ television….only eager to pay $12 once I had been told it’d be replaced… I needed to telephone office a few times to ask about claim. . .never a follow up update telephone….office could not care less that it will cost a few hundred bucks to substitute… worst customer support I’ve ever noticed….do not utilize this careless moving firm

I Cannot STRESS THIS ENOUGH _ AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS. They gave me a quote of $1,400 for 3 men for 10 hours. They had been here 7 1/2 hours from which I grabbed them loafing for a complete hour and the next hour that they spent at lunch in order that they simply functioned for 5 1/2 but billed me for the entire 10 hours. In addition to that they fell approximately $200.00 value of my possessions and lacked 6 cans of beverage from my fridge! In addition they left all of my kitchen products over in the old home and I needed to make 6 trips from car to find every thing, functioning before 1:30 a.m.! I’m now disputing the bill and I am certain that we’ll end up in court. I’ll definitely keep you posted!
