    Long-distance move from New Jersey
    Wonderful Movers

I had been referred to this business by a co-worker who’d utilized them to move herself and her family to Florida. My representative was called Michelle and she had been really helpful and considerate. She had someone see my house and give me a Binding quote that I found quite valuable. The movers came on time and keen to get the job done. Tony was in control and did a fantastic job making certain that everyone worked. I got my things two weeks afterwards as scheduled. I don’t post reviews nevertheless this one has been well deserved. I suggest Metro Van Lines to anybody searching for a fantastic firm.

Long-distance move from Old Bridge, NJ
Absolutely horrible! Don’t waste your time and money on them!

I discovered this business online through a web site. I filled out a form and recieved a call from them in one hour. The agent with whom I talked was Colin’s who is was amazingly pleasant and helpful. He gave me an intitial estimate of $100 to get 3men/hour. The estimated time to finish the entire project was projected at 5-6 hours since it was only a two bedroom apartment and that I had been given a total of 625. Then two weeks prior to going day I decided to provide Metro Van Lines a telephone to verify my shifting appointment together. I phoned them but nobody ever picked up my telephone and no matter me leaving a number of messages, nobody ever called back. Subsequently on moving day at morning I received a call from them and they arrive in my previous flat. Whenever they came, I had been given a 7 page contract to sign. I began to examine it and 4 guys who arrived began packaging. From the arrangement, the quote went up $200 and now it had been $805 since they brought an additional guys together and that I was okay with it. After packaging everything and loading it at the truck, we’re on our way into my new flat (it’s 10 miles away from the old flat and it is takes approximately 15-20 minutes to get there). I attained my new flat in roughly 20 minutes . however, it took them about an hour to get there since they chose to stop for coffee(again, it was okay with me since it was a very cold day). After arriving at my new location, I had been requested to cover before they begin unloading my furniture(again, which was also fine by me). However, now the cost has gone around $2300 Because of all of the packaging materials they used. Apparently the boxes that they used were 75 each along with the duck tape that they employed were worth $250. All together I was being billed $800 for its packing materials. Not just that but I had been billed for the gas absorbed in their workplace to my location and in addition to that I had been advised that the movers had to pay over $200 to get tolls for my flat. The thing is, Metro Van Lines is IN New Jersey, so that I do not understand how they were able to cover $200 in tolls. Well, long narrative story, I needed to pay them $2000 or else they would not release my furniture which was being held at the truck. Like I had been given a first quote of $625 I had $800 in cash in my pocket but today the quote was $2300 I believed it would better for me personally use my charge card. When I moved to David who had been overseeing the entire move along with the movers, I had been told that every one of the payments must be in money only and they do not accepts charge cards or even debit cards. At this time my quote was 4 times more that what I had been told along with the payment needed to be in money that I did not had at the moment. Well, after handling that money that was a nuisance, the movers unloaded the truck and introduced all of the furniture indoors. Now, I had been hoping that they would build it but they did not and they left without actually tell anybody. Their Manager who is name is Mathew advised the movers to choose the payment out of me and also to let me wait patiently for and E-receipt that I never received.

My advise to anyone who’s reading this inspection is do not hire them. Trust me, you’d be wasting your own time, energy and money. Should you employ them you’d be requested to cover 4 times the quotation which you would have been awarded originally and they charge would need to be in cash only(fun fact: if you should hire them, you may need to give them your credit card info for a $100 security deposit). In the event you do not pay them in money they wouldnt discharge your furniture out of their truck and could require it to there storage and could hold it that is gont cost you $5000(I was not told if this was $5000/night or $5000 entirely, I am still confused about it:/ ). So yeah, just don’t even bother hiring them it is not worthwhile.
