This provider is a complete nightmare. DO NOT BOOK MEGA VAN LINES. THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE.

Primarily , they did not appear through the agreed upon period variety. We then needed to speak to 4 distinct customer service agents to discover the van broke down since the initial 3 didn’t phone me back since they guaranteed. I was not told from the start that Mega Van is a BROKER which will also hire different agents to move your items. I had been lied to when I first booked and was advised my things will be there in 5 times maximum. Great right? Nope.

The binding quote was undersold, was an additional $400 more following the truck was loaded. It was midnight by the time that it had been completed, the driver came at 6pm and the movers never revealed. I was tired so that I signed up. Terrible idea.

I’ve had a nightmare time with another broker/moving firm they hired ever since, and Mega Van have done nothing to assist.

Remember how I mentioned I had been told 5 times maximum? It has now been 22 times and my stuff is not here. Repeated calls for Mega Van along with the moving business. Both are unworthy. Mega Van claimed they’d help, and all they do is telephone the specific same amount to ask the specific same questions and then give us the specific same responses. There’s absolutely no control over their scammy hires.

They don’t care whatsoever in the event that you’ve had a lousy experience. There’s not any customer support, no electricity above their hires, no nothing. The men were on time, quick, professional, really friendly. Max ran the team, and he’s the guy. Got the entire job done in about two weeks. They took extra caution and handled my products with respect. I’ll certainly employ these men if I return into the area!

The movers were friendly and functioned economically. The cost was fair and there were not any hidden fees! Everything was terrific. They unloaded even more rapidly and place everything where we desired, unharmed in the encounter. I’ll use them again once I proceed in a couple of months.

So I get a call a few weeks after in Paul Fountain, the Quality Assurance Manager (just another title you won’t want because he never returns calls either despite his promise that he’s always accessible ), to get a more exact quote that goes around $8,000. I movie walked him through my storage components to get a”real” revealing of my possessions. I am alright using $8,000, I know that it’s a whole lot of stuff.

Day of the transfer stems, Dani (the driver) states his quotation for the transfer is currently $11,800. And I want to cover the rest in cash at delivery. On May 26, I call the customer support number and speak to Nancy (rude, dismissive, stubborn ) who essentially states”rough” and I inquire about the QA supervisor, a manager, anybody who can assist. She provides me the title of”Teddy” the manager. I speak to Teddy who takes me straight back after having a message (condescending( unhelpful) plus he provides the name and telephone number of the motorist. I say”Why should I call that the motorist? Does not he work for you?” He says it is all about the motorist and his program. In addition, he states that our stuff is at a storage center (though we had been told it’d be delivered and loaded — no reference ever that our stuff could be unloaded and reloaded at any stage — more chance to mess your stuff without being loaded and unloaded twice).

Call and Speak to Teddy/Nancy every day. Teddy informs me that he looks forward into my daily calls (such as I mentioned, condescending). All they ever tell me would be to call the motorist. I nail down him to describe why the motorist has to call all of the shots and that he ultimately explains that they will be the”BROKER” for your transfer and put up customers/drivers to the company. Unbelievable.

My stuff eventually gets sent to June 4 at 6:00 pm. I cover the money up front (they will not sag till they get paid first which I know ). They will not put up the bunk beds since they did not take it away. It had been in a STORAGE UNIT! Whatever, they obtained their cash and that I received my items but it was pretty much a nightmare. You are held hostage to their needs however their promises mean nothing whatsoever.

On June 3, I predict Francesca who informs me that my items will be sent the following day. I am doubtful of course, however, she had been just one that treated me as a client rather than a hassle.

I feel dumb to be scammed. I don’t research but I guarantee you that the favorable reviews posted in their site should have been produced by relatives, or perhaps they paid people to compose them. I have not proceeded in 17 decades so this is all new to me, but boy have I heard.

Don’t Use MEGA VAN LINES. BIG SCAM, VERY DISHONEST. I ardently believe they somehow remove bad reviews on the online bc once I researched them, there were just glowing ones available but today I’m amongst several fellow complainers (for the time being ). This is my story:

I hired them at mid-May to perform a transfer in New York to Massachusetts. They seemed to be quite professional and coming and gave me a quotation depending on the stock I gave them. The Quality Assurance individual I talked with,”Paul Fountain” (fake name? Possibly, idk, can not locate him on social networking or the net whatsoever ) was far over-friendly and talkative but I went along with it for the interest of attempting to make this movement agreeable. 

The week of this move I eventually got myself together to receive a more thorough inventory. This more comprehensive inventory created the cost leap $1000. I was not happy about any of this, but figured I has been on me for not providing a much better stock at the start. 

The day of the transfer, they inform me that the movers are going to be there between 8am and 1pm. I must note, I could not be there due to health problems, so an extremely kind neighbor had been overseeing everything. I had been told they’d have a truck and pajamas that stated PackRite and could call an hour prior to coming.

At this time, I hadn’t heard from them, so that I researched that the foreman and asked what was up. (Pics from such texts are connected ). He informed me that they had an ETA of two. 2 went and came – nothing. I predict, the ETA is pushed back again and again – visitors to the GW Bridge, just able to use specific streets etc used as explanations. Later in the afternoon, 5ish? I receive some explanation that the driver of this van had to go change his van using a coworker’s whose newborn boy was ill – what are you supposed to say about this? 

At some stage during that I tell them that I live on a road having a police precinct that might be barricaded on account of their protests, also informed them perhaps we ought to try for a different day because they had been so late. However, since they’re, again, a very different business, they exude ignorance and state that this is THEIR fee for many services, not Mega Van Lines’s. 

The additional fees were for packaging and provides, a lengthy walk from my home to the van at NYC and additional space in the vehicle. Nobody will explain to me why those fees were inserted in spite of the fact that *no 1 * will be contesting the contents of my stock. They understood exactly what I had, and have been presumed to quote based on this. Suddenly my things is held hostage for the”miscalculation”?

I texted the foreman requesting my closing receipt that the afternoon things were getting lost off and suddenly my iMessages were becoming delivered as texts, aka he halted me. I emailed my connections in Mega Van Lines, who’d previously been so chatty, nothing whatsoever.

Overall, yes, I still really do have my things, and the majority of it’s undamaged. They snapped three vases plus a glass out of a pair my grandma gave me and punched two holes in the walls at the construction I had been going from. And so for that I needed to cover $737 additional on shipping to some business I were introduced into mere hours before. Please do not give them your cash.

I had a dreadful experience with this provider. I’m now at missing for more than 900 without my things even being transferred. I wouldn’t recommend this company for anybody. I obtained a coming time for the movers in the last moment. The movers were very impolite. The movers attempted to bill me an extra $7,000 within my quoted cost for those things which were contained on my stock quotation. The movers took photos of things that I told them wasn’t being transferred multiple, which makes it appear like I had more things then my stock list. As soon as I got my original cost quote I had been told that when I had to include things on the afternoon of transfer that the cost would just be 55 cents a pound for every product, in order the most my cost would just go up a few bucks per item. I just needed to include 5 things to the day of transfer therefore there was no way my cost ought to have went from $2300 to $7000. When customer service known as each of the individual said was”what is up, tell me what occurred.” I clarify my scenario he advised me could call me back and never did. Despite them moving me out of a 5th floor walkup with a very small staircase they were friendly and efficient. I’m really impressed with the customer support that this business provides, and I am quite pleased with my shifting experience.

I’ve had an absolutely horrible experience with Mega Van lines up to now.

– My MI –> CA movement was subcontracted. The first subcontractors  packed the truck and alleged I was using about double the distance contained in my quote and that I owed $1200 over my already increased quality assurance assessed quotation. After hours on the telephone with Eddy I recognized on my own that the subcontractors were lying about the size and available space of their vehicle and filed video and photo evidence of evidence to megavanlines. But, I never got an apology. Rather I’d been shouted at and talked to disrespectfully, hadn’t been asked any queries to help problem solve, and then was even sent an NDA.

– The recently dispatched subcontractors (American house relocation) came 4 days later than originally consented. (6 days later than my scheduled pickup- May 30)

– I’m a new ER physician moving across state to begin work and was ensured by Mega van traces that they would do everything to maintain my move on schedule (my delivery date was June 5th).

– 3 days after (June 1), I got a call from American Home terms that my items were at a warehouse in Chicago and could be there till I paid the extra $800 over my highest contract amount they needed while praying to provide any confirmation of the way I could ever owe this kind of amount. I clearly objected to the as extortion, but out of sheer despair paid this ransom so as to receive my things going. However, in spite of paying, they weren’t loaded from the warehouse till 12 days after.

– It’s now been 2.5 months since my pickup and they refuse to give me all the present location of my things, a more particular ETA, or even the motorists contact information. They also refuse to provide some confirmation that my possessions are even actually in transit!

– I’ve been calling Mega van lines every few days for updates and’m always told I’m called right back but not am.

Now I’m in the process of talking my legal options and’m desperate to get my things. I’ve begun my job without any of my possessions and can only expect my items arrive shortly…

These guys did more in 4 hours than I might have done in weeks! For those that have a couple of things or an entire house-full, I will advocate Mega Van Lines for you. They hustled and maintained that pace the entire time! Well worth their cost. (In reality, I piled up since I believed it had been too low of a bill.)

It was by far the WORST EXPERIENCE I have had with what’s assumed to your Professional Moving Company. For the next two weeks, I phoned Mega Van Lines and talked with Eddie on several occasions and every time that he promised to”get into the bottom of it”, but not once returned a telephone call. I phoned and talked with PackRite who advised me that my things would be sent by different individuals and needed to be loaded on to some other truck first. They provided me with the telephone number for my driver called”Pepe”, however when I called, he had no thought about my delivery and stated he’d phone me back, but never did. I had been provided a total of 3 distinct driver’s telephone numbers using the exact same specific consequence of no advice about my movement. Multiple added efforts to get responses concerning my shipping date, place of my things, and motorist info was met with no reaction from Mega Van Lines, Jen, or even PackRite.

On 6/15, I called and was advised my delivery could finally arrive 6/17-6/18. Now , I had my lawyer reach out to Jen out of PackRite and Eddie from MVL. Seriously?!) . I had to cancel my transfer together following her issue and since I was no longer going and cant achieve Armondo, the customer support folks dont return my calls, I even sent a certified/signature necessary letter so I would submit to my lender to get a refund and fee back for them. These folks are scammers. Russel is allegedly the proprietor but exceptionally rude and is completely dedicated to ripping off people. This isnt a review from a person who’s just annoyed and wishes to receive back her money – this inspection is written to assist protect anybody from using this business. I can’t tell you enough how dreadful and unethical they are. I’m still fighting to receive my $1,600 back from them. All of the surprising their yelp webpage is missing so that I cant review on there and any comments I put in their FB webpage was deleted and now they have turned off comments. I couldn’t find an ETA before Monday afternoon. Then they explained that they’d be there between 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday. They did not appear till Tuesday at 4:30 pm

The worst part is that they said there was more stock than what was about the bidding and it was likely to cost $1300 more. This is totally untrue. Case in point: they stated they were not advised that the mattress was a flexible mattress. I pointed out that the stock record on the binding quote specifically stated 1 mattress, flexible queen. That’s only 1 example. There were numerous different examples that are too many to record.  

Obviously today they won’t refund my deposit although I had been told it had been refundable.  

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They’re LIARS and CHEATERS

I especially asked for a team who’s proficient at managing breakables. The guys they shipped appeared like pro-wrestlers! They were quite efficient. Their pace terrified me a bit. They have been so quickly at packaging everything I believed they weren’t doing the work correctly. The team appeared to understand everything they were doing and that I did not say anything to them. Luckily, all of my breakables have been in good condition if they left the delivery. These men were simply ideal.

I was most worried about my television and there are a few dings on the plastic region of the television stand however from what I could tell so far it works only in addition to before. They padded the television between a mattress and a box spring to keep it set up from the truck.

We’re at our 6th week using this dreadful firm. On July 12th that my 93 year-old dad was coerced into expecting this business, providing them his bank accounts info and after his possessions and we’re still waiting to receive his proceeds or perhaps an accurate quote of the expected delivery.

Two weeks to”the movement” we discovered that eldest Van Lines submitted a few bogus evaluations against his bank accounts. Four weeks to the transfer after not receiving any upgrades or return calls in the firm we reported them to the Better Business Bureau, the state of Florida, along with US Department of Transportation. We now have a couple of calls along with a few e-mails within one day and today, about six months to the play, again we’re getting no information concerning the shipping and no return telephone calls.

I can’t conceive of any excuse to conduct business with this organization and that I sincerely hope nobody else has these encounters. It’s really heartbreaking to realize how small a provider stinks.

Shame on you, Mega Van Lines.

Exceptional! These guys were excellent and you really can’t beat the cost. They never complained after and we are super fine about everything. If I ever have to proceed, they’d be my initial call. I’d recommend their services to anybody.
