The pickup was well planed an implemented. Ahead of time that there have been indications outside to obstruct a parking place. The packers took particular care to package all of my items well. I had a one off thing that has been given additional attention to make sure it’d make the trip okay, a tiny engineering was included.
The fall off, I receive a call friday stating my things is going to be sent Saturday between 9 and 11. Wonderful, so I reserve a trip back to visit my spouse before she travels to Mexico for two months. Expensive ticket but it’s well worth it.
I receive a telephone AFTER 11 o’clock on Saturday, to allow me to understand the truck will not make it into my place, it is too big. Oh, and there’s an”Agent” to perform the little road deliveries, however the closed in 11. So we do not understand exactly what to do. The”planner” then requires me to let me understand the”Agent” would likely be occupied until Wed.. This incidentally is similar to 3 times beyond the close of the stage in which my stuff was likely to have lost off. Now I shed the ticket I only bought and need to devote an extra five times sleeping on the ground.
From where I place, it might appear that I might have gotten the exact same amount of support when I’d only hired 4 men and a U-Haul. That is assumed to be a big firm, the concept is that they do all of the planning, therefore I do not need to. Oh and also the last kicker, I had been told that there was no”no method to understand the truck would not match.” . That I don’t think. Think about the”Agents” they got in the region, these men do not understand? They’ve no federal resources they could utilize?
We moved with Mayflower since we had been told that they were well-known and trusted. We agreed that we’d cover their high prices for the safety behind the name. BOY WERE WE WRONG!
My wife started unpacking her clothes boxes yesterday and come back to find out that 30-40percent of her clothes is lost. Not the simple things, they accepted just the Ralph Lauren, Chanel, along with teh pricey items. They knew precisely what they were afterwards. Upon closer review of their boxes, we all discovered that a lot of these were opened and carefully urged. The reason why it had been easy for all of us to inform was since most of our boxes were brand new and never reused. We might see tears by the old tape and however they did their very best to resale them, it had been obvious.
Obviously sat that we’re ruined and have registered a claim by Mayflower. I expect that this will save somebody else from being busted exactly how we had been.
The transfer itself was nice, but 3 times I inquired about the wording of this contract. It said it was a non-binding quote and I believed that they had been underestimating our burden (our classic furniture is quite heavy – that I advised them). Every person I asked had exactly the exact same response – an”on stage” quote means you won’t be charged more than 110 percent of their weight. You can be charged for”services” but not additional weight. The quote was away, with 1000 pounds – 100 away in the unprofessional estimate. And lo and behold we had been charged for it. When I called they said that was exactly what the contract meant when it stated non-binding (no real surprise there). I explained how I had been advised that”fees for services” over 110 percent wouldn’t consist of weight. Too bad, so sad was Mayflower’s response, even after 4 phone calls along with a 25 minute conversation. The broker (who promised me”solutions” didn’t consist of weight) can’t fix billing in any way. That’s solely Mayflower’s discretion. So please, don’t hesitate to utilize Mayflower, but DO NOT place stock in anything a broker, a Mayflower estimator, or motorist states. Their assurances don’t have any significance with Mayflower and their customer support rep will tell you to read your 56 page rights and duties publication with additional care, even once you’ve explained repeatedly that you just did, but have been told by 3 different Mayflower agents, that your reading was wrong. For the album, Corrigan had the ideal estimate. Their prices are high, but at least their representatives are aware of what they’re doing.
I have recently gone through Capital City Moving and Mayflower Transit from Topeka, KS for the transfer away from Kansas to Texas.
My next complaint: I chose this company since the Marketing Sales Rep was very knowledgeable, friendly and ready to assist me. The packers were very slow and in my own estimation, they didn’t find out how to package correctly. They overlooked numerous items in the bedrooms, i.e. sculptures, toys. They pulled items from different chambers and packaged them in boxes which didn’t fit what was recorded on the box. Not all of the individual boxes have been marked by what area they came out so I had to figure what area they had to be sent also. In addition they didn’t dissemble my terrace furniture just like that they were suppose too. After the movers/driver showed up the following day, the driver said that he advised the”firm” that he wouldn’t have sufficient space for all of my belongings and they advised him to”comprehend that which he would”. They just sent out two movers for 12,000pounds. From 3pm that afternoon, I still had furniture from the living area and my 2 car garage was still full (maybe not touched yet) along with also my terrace furniture was still outside not disassembled. About 4pm, another little truck eventually showed up together with 4-5 additional movers. I had to shake my terrace furniture myself because of how slow they have been. They ended up needing to call for a different truck. Obviously, they eventually ended around 6pm daily. It required 3 trucks and approximately 6-7 movers to DO THIER JOB! My substance was suppose to get delivered on two NOV 10, however just half of my house hold merchandise has arrived and now is 16 NOV 10. I’ve made many calls to the organization and each call is exactly the same”We do not understand”. My husband is now in Iraq and he’s also made a telephone call. We am being advised that the truck broke downagain. What a joke that this business has proven to be. My spouse and I are both in the Army and that is the way we get handled. I won’t ever use this company again. Lousy BUSINESS!!
Called Mayflower movers to move from New York to Nevada. Chris Blank (salesman was fantastic ). Regrettably once contract has been signed and paid because it was all down hill from there. Pick up place inventory is all done by hand with ineligible handwriting, the motorist is granted to much electricity to do a sloppy job. Corrupion from the beginning with the motorist. At destination at Nevada, driver shows up late and then claims truck would be to large to enter what’s a complex the size of a small airport, shows up with a single individual to assist when he used 3 others to pick up in NY. Driver claims he wants a shuttle and hunts for various agents in the region to transfer all of our items from the major truck into the shuttle truck. Driver calls me and states he wants money from me to cover for extra help (if we paid a complete contract for whatever which could possibly be required ) we stated”No”. The driver eventually shows up again after 5 hours with assistance of three additional men. They start to bring up things where we need to convince them exactly what rooms they belong in. Many boxes are overlooking the labels which are assumed to be around for stock purposes. Many boxes are ruined and moist. Our memory foam foam pads 4″thick Queen sized X two were wrapped up and not shielded in anyhow, they came soaked because it had been raining like enormous sponges all those memory foam mattress toppers price $500 each and were equally destroyed; we sleep on these for Christ sake. Many things are broken as detected after launching boxes. Reluctantly we tipped the driver and also the employees later to learn our biggest of boxes that a wardrobe box is overlooking comprising expensive suits (Brioni suits), colognes (10 pricey colognes), kitchen and crystal ware. The driver left with opening the wooden crates where our coordinating representative explains he was suppose to accomplish that. We call headquarters at Missori and they eventually help organize a person to come and uncrate big mirrors where they violate a 1800 Italian import mirror. We record a claim where they send a person to observe the harm, take pictures and they determine it could be mended. We hear by the claim adjuster to be advised that they won’t correct the mirror since we now have a $500 deductible with all the excess insurance we compensated for to be completely covered and moreover they reveal everything obtained in their stock sheets and even though we put a hint for the lost wardrobe box valued at $2665 that they won’t pay that either. I told the first planner in NY Susan Ramos which I’ll file a suit if items aren’t made right and that I had been told”YOU won’t WIN”. We’re actively pursuing a suit for the missing things and damages to our possessions. It appears the purchase of insurance to be completely covered was only another way to earn more bucks from us together with outside protection. We’re filing a litigation involving legal fees and will even follow up with the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Transportation MAYFLOWER MOVING U.S. DOT No. 125563 These ailments are also contrary to the representatives from NY Brooklyn DAHILL MOVING & STORAGE 585 CONEY ISLAND AVENUE and also SIERRA MOVING SYSTEMS 3830 EAST CRAIG ROAD N. LAS VEGAS as those were the pickup and destination brokers. Additionally Raul Lopez (driver identification 15696)the driver of the dreadful delivery will be in the middle of the lost and damaged private property. Information herein will be utilized as variable in the chased legal claims and general complaints.
Mayflower Movers would be the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. To start with, they didn’t package things very nicely. They place kitchen things in with toilet, etc.. It took me forever to get all of my things. Secondly, The movers that arrived to package our things damaged many of these – including a limited edition guitar which is (was) a collectors item. I even told the man to be cautious with it and rather than listening to me, he composed all around the box in permanent ink! I instantly told that he destroyed the merchandise and he maintained that he would inform his boss about it (yeah right). When I complained about the damage to the guitar, then it was simply dismissed. When we finally obtained all of our things, we discovered that many were ruined. I called to complain, however, was told I needed to submit a claim. I did this, however, the claim was refused. Why? As though we bought the insurance, it didn’t cover the damages since we place a few of our things in storage. Funny, but when I spoke to Mayflower in regards to the transfer and informed them that a few products were moving in storage and a few were likely to be sent to our flat, they didn’t mention that the insurance wouldn’t pay damages that their movers trigger. Avoid this company in any way costs. They’re dishonest and require no responsibility for harms that they cause.
They whined left california 4 days after guaranteed 4 days late on shipping and stated FU we do not care, oh yeah they also asked for more cash as soon as they took our materials stated they under bid on the task, don’t use in any way!
I picked Mayflower due to title and had confidence in their capacity to finish a trade in a professional manor. Their cost was reasonable, they took more time to locate a motorist then we talked, and once an date has been agreed upon, the provider subsequently changed the date and then pickup time. . .The pickup point was inaccessible in the new time. As soon as I phoned Mike he travelled”OFF” and provided no assistance other he then told me no residue return and that he wasn’t likely to operate on this dispatch because he’d re-scheduled with no consultanting mepersonally, I believe he had been in error, however refusing to operate to fix the circumstance, he simply wanted the deposit cash and left me with no recourse, twist me in different words….Hmmmm my answer was to cancel my bank trade and place it in competition…I will see him in court in my ballpark so to speak….so my word of warning will be”Mayflower Sucks”. . .and for youpersonally, I counsel you to always pay by credit card and you will conquer these crooks in their own game….let a quote determine the merits of this situation…
THIEVES! They picked up our family and packaged it into crates that, we were informed, would home our house until proceeded. WE LATER FOUND OUT EVERYTHING WAS OPENED AND UNLOADED WITHIN DAYS OF PICK-UP. Our land was in storage for five weeks. Once delivered into our Ca. Place I attempted to rely on the boxes as unloaded however they kept moving in various doors and, even when I had been diverted with a single mover, the others would ditch boxes at which I had not counted them.
FINALLY UNPACKED NOW, We’re MISSING a Bunch of STUFF. (BROKEN THINGS AS WELL.) EVERYTHING FROM TOOLS TO COOKWARE TO CRYSTAL. YARD TOOLS AND FRAMED PICTURES.
AWFUL AND HEARTBREAKING! FORGET THIS COMPANY!
I scheduled a moment to get the estimator to visit my property. I had been given a date and time. The agent also told me to re-confirm the appointment a couple of days ahead of the scheduled date. I did precisely that. They advised me that I had been supported for the date and time we’d agreed upon.
After the date came. . .no one showed up. I called the workplace. 1 man said that I wasn’t within his or her system. Another person explained I had been in the machine and apologized for its no-show.
I cancelled all additional actions with Mayflower. If it is impossible for them to maintain a date for a review of their furniture and also provide a quote, I can only imagine what could have occurred had I advised a transfer.
Don’t Use MAYFLOWER.
Mayflower has been $1k less than every other company. We no longer why. When the quote was granted, it had been almost impossible to speak with the provider. Calls were not returned, upgrades weren’t granted and half of those things will not even be sent before a MONTH in the first pick-up date, since they suppressed the distance requirement from the beginning.
Paradoxically, among the higher quotes has been from United. Our”Mayflower” driver showed up at a United truck, therefore I don’t have any assurance that they’d be any different in any respect. What I will say is that for $7,000, you would believe a phone call letting their clients know where their substance would be would not be too much to ask.
The only bright spot was that our driver, Jerry. He was so professional, attentive with all the half of the things he was accountable for, and also a excellent communicator. I hope that they pay him double what he is worth.
Our movement has been scheduled that the 28th of june, and was expected to be carried out in 1 day so we might have the remainder of the month to wash the house we were departing and have it empty by the 30th. The business came to assess the 27th and in the stage told me that they had poor communication with their office and they were unable to transfer our family until the 30th. We needed to rent our house for an extra five days (could not turn our secrets in on the weekend) individuals had to wait to enter the house they were told was likely to be accessible to them around the 1st of july. Then they moved all products to a storage device in which a different business then picked it up and attracted to our new residence. The majority of the boxes have been packaged very nicely. There were approximately 10 which were nearly unrecoverable. There was medications mixed with lotions and toilet as well as other liquids seeping from the boxes. Rugs, towels and blankets were destroyed and everything inside was a wreck and moist. I’m very disappointed and won’t again use this organization or will consult with some friends or coworkers.
I lately used Mayflower’s solutions to move from NYC to Austin, and allow me to tell you, it was the WORST experience of my entire life. I’d paid a great deal of extra cash to receive my possessions to Austin on August 4th, which I signed a contract that was guaranteed, and it didn’t appear. When it did not appear, I phoned into Mayflower, plus they informed me the oldest it would get there’s August 11th. When were they planning on I want to understand this? Why did I must call them? I had been out of town until August 15th, therefore obviously that wouldn’t get the job done, plus they told me that I would need to pay additional for storage before the 15th! What type of company breaks ensures and gouges their clients for additional cash such as this? A warranty means guaranteed, 100%, which I am pretty sure Mayflower does not have any idea what a promise is that they simply use the term to mislead customers. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with my mayflower expertise and I advise that you go for another moving business!
Seattle > NYC movement started with local broker, Crown Transferring, which was useful, professional and timely. But once in the palms of Mayflower the movement fell off program. Today was the final day at the moving quote, nevertheless my material remains multiple days off.
By their coverage I am unable to per diem reimbursement because my material is”beneath 3500 lbs.” Seems like I am not the only postponed client. Do not these people today understand that moving is in the time of important alterations in people’s lifestyles (new jobs) and that dropping the ball on customers makes our own lives more trying and hard? And we cover this support. !
I might check into a hotel in my cost to steer clear of a second weekend without the basic essentials Mayflower has taken hostage.
POOR along with UNPROFESSIONAL!! The packers did not pack all of the products. We had been missing the very best portion of our food chip (top, blade and bowl ) and also a large stuffed eeyore that my dad got me until he passed out was stolen. We had things which were broken since they weren’t wrapped correctly. Tools and fatty items were put at a box of blankets. The blankets have been destroyed. The packers whined a two year old crying and took exceptionally long breaks!
My transfer out of Oregon to Kansas using Mayflower and its partners was awful at best. The driver revealed late on Aug 18th, also was conscious that he wouldn’t have the ability to bring all of my furniture onto his own truck. They began loading at 11AM and ended completing his truck at 10:30 PM during the time they had been just able to receive 82 percent of my merchandise on the vehicle (complete loading was 16,100 Lbs). They place the 18 percent back into my garage and subsequently picked up this stuff around the 19th, to boat. The main point is that I eventually got the remaining part of my shipment on September 15th, a whole 15 days following their contracted responsibility of August 30th since the last shipping date. Mayflower disallowed my promise for delay of shipping since they said it doesn’t use to float. There wasn’t any attempt I could view on the section of Mayflower or its affiliates to live until the entire letter of their contract. I care any one with Mayflower to know about this business. I won’t ever use them again nor will any person in my business. They don’t care for you and hide behind something they can to prevent doing the proper thing.
After 3 goes with my organization and this being the first using Mayflower I will say that this has become the absolute WORST!! . The team who showed up to package were overdue, unprofessional, and incompetent to say the least. After our family goods arrived we discovered numerous broken items such as a brand-new front loading washer and above $3000 worth of possessions which were stolen. 6 months later we’re still battling with them within the promise and I won’t ever use them again. We found out of the team that unloaded our stuff (good men ) that our stuff was unloaded at a warehouse (unsecured) for 4 months then reloaded on a different truck. When it is not irritating enough to get your stuff stolen and broken, acquiring the claim department ensure it is miserable for you to attempt to recover what they owe you’re simply cruel. Once more I state the WORST company ever!!!
When movers arrived in our house, they have been ill prepared and lacked quanity and quality of packing materials. They depended upon us to supply boxes and packaging materials. Two big mirrors, which necessitated crating, were wrapped in newspaper and Terrible cardboard. The frames of these two mirrors were uncovered divided later we unwrappped them after movers left. Before movers left, I discovered that the trunk of one of those dining room seats was busted. When I pointed this out to among those moversm he proposed that I could paste it back together. As my wife and I started to put the furniture we found a growing number of damage. At this time we contacted some furniture recovery co. (Jacobsen Restoration and Art (150 W. 1400 S. Salt Lake City, UT. Telephone: 801-486-6331. Some owners of this firm did a comprehensive examination of the ruined furniture and also gave us a extimate of 2760. Mayflower refused this claim and issued a check for about $387 since it had been 60 cents a pound each insurance policy amt. My spouse was made to signify as no additional choices were available from the online form. My spouse had questions about the shortage of choices and voiced them to Jan Parsons. Ms. Parsons wasn’t able to provide any other options throughout the web. After the drivers came, I signed up the 60 cent per pound. Agreement not realizing I had another alternative at the point. Not having assessed with customer reports, I’d no concept that Mayflower is rated lowest in the moving industry. My efforts to have a Mayflower rep. or harm estimator to come along and assess the damages has been met with rudeness and indifferece from the many individuals I talked to in the Mayflower Corp. offices. The final person I talked to hung me up. What a way to run a corporation! The restoration firm has recorded all of the extensive damage and required photographs. I expect that no other individuals actually have to go by exactly what my spouse and I’m going through. Notice, my spouse is phyically disabled and I am 73 years of age.
We needed to move our residence and shop our things within four 16′ containers. Pricewise they had been undoubtedly the least expensive and conquer the rest of the quotes such as Pods. Shipping was timely and prompt. The group they delivered into load the containers were equally wonderful. They packaged those items so tight and worked tirelessly to have the business done all on exactly the identical day.
We saved all of our worldly possessions together for a month and after that they redelivered and unloaded.
The Stamford CT division would be the one we coped with. Nick, the Manager wasn’t only a real professional but obviously cared and wanted to make our movement as easy as possible. We’ve got 3 children under 3yrs! And needed to proceed on a particular date. When their forklift struck they were able to supply new parts the exact same day and still get our things to us on time. The moving men arrived immediately and invisibly with zero issues or difficulty.
We must provide a special THANK YOU to RON the container vehicle driver. He had been amazing. Favorable, always instantaneous and moved on his job with true professionalism. We had 4 big containers and they all came and moved no issues. Ron even altered the containers around when we decided we needed the doorway on the opposite side.
I can not talk for different divisions, but if you’re coping with Stamford then don’t be afraid to utilize them. So amazing!!
(By the way – I have moved 10 times, double globally, therefore I have a great outlook on this particular!!)
We transferred out of Bend, Oregon into Manhattan, KS. I solicited 4 bids before making the movement and Mayflower whilst not the smallest looked to be the smartest choice at the moment.
Upon picking out the bidding working together with the broker Klamath falls storage and speeding has been an adventure in itself, bad or no communication by the organization to me. I eventually had to get Mayflower corporate and then I would get some communication.
Proceed came we’ve 16,000 pounds of products and they just sent 3 people to load two were great you was usless, the driver showed up late and they started to load at 11:AM on August 18th, at 10:30PM I had been told all of my merchandise wouldn’t match on the truck since the motorist picked up a prior load which was 3,500 pounds over the quote. Making an overflow for your own merchandise.
Long story short it took 29 days for me to receve all of my products, Mayflower refused my clam for delayed delivery since they stated overflow isn’t covered. I wasn’t accountable for the escape this was completely due to Mayflower. Bottom line My bill was incorrect I needed to get this fixed, I had been charged 110% plus they worked off my money for more than a month before ultimately adjusting the bill , I had been residing with partial great for nearly a month. The aid unloading and loading was dreadful.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU THEY ONLY DO WHAT IS Ideal FOR THEM NOT YOU.
The movement began with a slick speaking salesman whose assertions not ever had been accurate. The movers were in a rush and cared for less. They packaged things where ever they desired so finding them turned into a nightmare. Then we discovered a few other individual’s box at our dispatch. The largest difficulty is that Mayflower utilizes independent businesses all around the usa. When we attempted to solve the issues here in WA they needed nothing to do together. I would strongly recommend that customers remain out of Mayflower. . .they speak a great game but provide the service that is worse.
My husband had only retired and that was our final movement. We’ve moved many times around the 20 years now (which comprises going abroad ) and have not had a moving encounter such as this. Out things were sent (after being hauled over 180 times ) and also before the driver could escape the truck with a single box that he was already telling me about matters which were entirely broken (such as an entire entertainment centre, yet another one at which the glass was totally shattered, broken arms onto our dining room seat, etc). Although I had been trying my very best to stay positive – that place an extremely poor tone to the transfer because he informs me that”a few months past the army did a surprise inspection and they chose to examine our storage space – that turned out that they had lost nearly 20 BOXES!!! How does this occur? We waited for weeks (since I needed my things back) until we registered a claim. Only this afternoon (while in the very final stages of our promise )we see that the firm that handles their promises (O’Neil Relocation at Garden Grove, CA) travelled OUT OF BUSINESS and did not let anybody know. I’ve attempted to get them to get well over a week and also have been getting a quick busy audio to the primary amount and (by accident) I simply made a decision to speak to another firm which operates together United Van Lines and they confirmed for me that they were out of company.
If they can not deal with a retired army family right (who functioned nearly 28 years in the army ) – what would you believe that they will do together with your things. We really could have done better doing so movement ourselves. Do not waste your time or your own cash on this firm.
Horrible, horrible, dreadful. Don’t use.
More than 6000 in damages to my own furniture and house. Additionally a number of items costing more than a million dollars went missing.
Though I bought insurance, it’s been more than 3 weeks and the business still hasn’t settled my promise.
My husband was in the army and was being moved from WV to some foundation in Louisiana, the Army compensated Mayflower from Virginia to move us. The lady who contacted me told me I needed to work on HER program with my movement and was hateful together until I advised her I would have the Army use somebody else to transfer us on OUR period because we had been working to the Army’s program never hers. She never sent anybody to perform a walk through, rather she did it on the telephone that was not a right method to surmise the amount of items/pounds we needed to proceed. I have never heard from her back, I needed to telephone the evening before we were scheduled to depart to our new foundation to discover the movers were coming back the following day. She delivered three packers into our home to perform a two day task in under a day, maybe not telling them how we had a 3 story home to package up. Then she delivered the driver into the incorrect speech, he needed to telephone us to learn the place to deliver his truck and didn’t know that he had a driver to get a bigger”shuttle” truck because our belongings needed to be shuttled out of our house into his truck because of our driveway maybe not being sporadically by means of a semi. Not only did those men appear without the correct equipment to package us with thanks for her, however, they stole several things and bankrupt many a lot more. Due to the being mislead from the girl in their workplace, my spouse almost missed our kid’s high school graduation as they weren’t completed in time to allow him to arrive. In addition to this, they stole countless boxes of Girl Scout cookies out of our freezer, a 50 pound bag of pet food which has been unopened from our drop, and today, after getting settled in here in Louisiana, we discovered that they also stole all of our Christmas tree decorations along with our NFL things. The Christmas things were items that the children had left for me personally over the last few years plus several NFL and NHL decorations. WHO DOES THAT??? My children and I had been crushed to locate our things that meant a lot to us were simply gone. We have no restitution for your stolen or broken items (like the shattered glass in my 7 feet tall curio cabinet) without any apologies for whatever. We’ll NEVER allow the Army to employ Mayflower to transfer us again. NEVER.
I’d utilized Mayflower earlier within an interstate movement from Central N.Y. into Virginia that went really well so chose to work with them again, although this time via a local moving company, on a local transfer. Joe Moholland’s Carpets were amazingly dishonest. I’d advised the salesman no greater than 3 occasions that the transfer to the new place is into a third floor condominium with no lift. In addition, he understood on the first trip that my flat was on the fourth floor with no lift. The movers behaved surprised if they arrived in the flat and then said they’d have to charge marginally longer due to the staircase in the flat and in the moving place. Following a somewhat disagreeable dialogue with their dispatcher in the workplace, I”negotiated” a fairly bad bargain for me only because I had to be from my prior residence throughout this week. The transfer cost me a few hundreds over quoted regardless of the salesman with all of the information regarding the transfer. The movers themselves were nice, but I would not ever use a company with this kind of unethical salespersons. I felt just like the info provided was purposely ignored or miscommunicated from the business to be able to raise the purchase price in the day of their transfer.
Contracted them to proceed out of Colorado to Kentucky. We bought all of the harm insurance from them. They packed all. They showed up late to load along with their look wasnt the top. The driver stated that he had been going to some other fall off before us and that he had been putting over at his house for the weekend. They got there a couple of days late subsequently found they had a shuttle truck since they couldnt get down the semi my lane. I emailed them off a picture of google ground and told them that they couldnt get down the street using a semi. They put all the things from the garage, and on the next 3 times we introduced it in and unpacked it. That’s when we found a couple of things broken up and several lost. We filled out an insurance coverage and they’re telling us that they never loaded these things. In addition they said we’re over on our burden. The items which they state never got wealthy one has been a brand new power washer. Its amusing the way it didnt produce it but the spray nozzels that shop to the washer cart were at a box. Additionally, we lost a T.V. however, the remote was at a box. We also lost a wall decoration. They assert the weight of this movement is 9500 pounds. There were 4 large objects just 2 queen beds and eyeglasses and two sofas. You will find 86 boxes of decorations and kitchen, as in certain boxes that they place 1 thing. Should you do the mathematics we’d 96 items so that they had to ordinary 98lbs each item. If I ever go again it’ll be carried out by me personally and UHaul. Stay away from Mayflower
We paid a little over $1400 for Crown Storage and Moving to transfer our horses possessions in the Seattle area to Chandler Arizona. She didn’t possess expensive furniture and I didn’t take out the extra insurance. The condition her things arrived in was dreadful. Most boxes were ruined, a few crushed, and a few with holes. 1 box, was busted open with her clothes dangling out. A bookshelf has been completly broken apart. The dresser had a crack on the side. The 40 inch flat screen TV box had a massive hole on both sides and if opened the TV had a very long crack throughout the screen beginning from where the gap at the box was. There’s not been any answer from the claims section and two telephone calls have yet to be returned. The furniture wasn’t expensive and we could live with this, but the TV is your concern. Never would I’ve expected her things to arrrive in that sort of condition. I don’t have any idea what happened for her possessions through transit, but that I believe the cash was completly wasted considering that the condition that the things arrived in.
Load was picked up in Lees Summit MO May 30. Deal stated that a 5-15 day shipping window, additionally recorded British Columbia since the shipping terminal (I proceeded 20 kilometers south of this boundary ). About June 6 they called to say that there are a delay of approximately a week. I am sleeping in a cottage on the ground, needed to purchase warm clothing in a thrift shop, becoming antsy to my things, so I phoned the MO office on June 8, so they said they would check into it. Now June 11 I phoned the BC terminal. An extremely great guy said that they gave me the incorrect info & he wasn’t involved in the movement whatsoever. I phoned MO again plus they stated my stuff is going to be sent by June 21 plus they haven’t any idea where it’s at the moment,”it is about the way”. Next major move will probably be in a freakin’ U-Haul.
First, allow me to say that everybody at Mayflower Moving Company/United Van Lines I have spoke to has been favorable. But that’s about all of the”excellent customer service” that I have experienced. My move was a total nightmare. My products have been picked up on May 26th, 2012 using a shipping spread between June 1-June 11 using a favorite date of June 1 when going out of Oklahoma City, OK into Salt Lake City, UT. Now it’s June 15th and my dispatch is STILL at Oklahoma City and Nobody in my transfer coordinator to client service can provide me a date of when my dispatch will even be departing OK. I’ve spoke with customer service several times and also called my shifting planner virtually daily. On 4 unique events I had been guaranteed telephone calls to give me an upgrade that never had been created. Daily I call to inquire when on earth my transportation will be departing Oklahoma City and each day I am told more or not,”we do not know.” In the end, on June 9th, to reevaluate our transfer, we were advised that our dispatch could be packaged into shipping crates that would then arrive right to Salt Lake city. Now it’s a complete week after and also our stuff may or might not be packed to the crates today. Again, nobody can offer me a direct answer. We had been advised that when our stuff was packaged, the merchandise would be sent IMMEDIATELY (emphasis was granted by the firm ) into Utah. But I just got off the phone now with our relocation coordinator who stated that our possessions are scheduled to arrive some time between June 20-23rd, which will be somewhere between 5 days and 8 days in the day our substance will be crated to an”expedited movement .” I drove to Salt Lake City two weeks back from OKC and it requires 18 hours, not 5-8 days. I am rather frustrated with the support and lack of responses from Mayflower that I wished to fly home and U-haul my products myself, and they stated they would not allow because of accountability. I even began calling other van lines to attempt and make them come pick this up. I’m beyone frustrated now. I won’t ever utilize mayflower again and I won’t ever suggest them to anybody attempting to maneuver!!!
Company: The business hires nearby tow trucks to fall off and pickup your own container. Container isn’t treated horizontally, which means that your stuff will probably be badly altered about upon pickup and drop off.
Container: Quite Affordable. May have paid 100 with another company and got a much better wider container.
Pickup: Inexperiences tow truck driver, that appeared experienced with towing automobiles. Made a wreck before the house, petroleum and drill marks.
Assessing Delivery: primosed 4-6 business days, but obtained 10 b-days, not such as day that I called on. Shipping: Holding my breath, but trust that all goes well on the guaranteed delivery date of June 30, 2012. According to other reviews, I’ll be lucky if I received by season end.
Saturday delivery. Dropped first two bits. Don’t reassemble. Just wanted to get it over with. Dragged ft on sending somebody out to evaluate damages. Then had to phone out them. They then claimed they dropped photos and file. He said that it had been beyond claim date. Never made whole offer. Deny and dismiss tactics. Turned around to Corporate in which a Ms. Julie Rohr said that She’d expedite in 15 days. She always ignores all communicating. Continues to be a second 15 weeks. Now over two Decades and no other solution. Don’t Use Mayflower. They’ve absolutely the worst Customer Support. You pay additional for complete replacement. You Need to go through hoops to specify high-value things and then they”respectfully” refuse everything. Theyshave no scruples at all. They Don’t treat you as a valued client. We’ve transferred over 20 times. Mayflower is bottom of the barrel. STAY AWAY.
The WORST!! Rude and disrespectful! Didn`t honor the appt time that they place, nor did I telephone to inform me to not cancel my significant appt’s I had put and canceled for this day, so I might accomadate the movers program. Tried to investigate what went incorrect in addition to fix him by not calling me by my first name, I had been dismissed and ignored.
The total movement from nashville, TN into NYC cost roughly $17,000. The movement from my nashville house was nice. The problems started when going into my house in nyc. The movement in was likely to be finished in a single day. It really took 3 times in which the 3rd evening was a mix of those 2nd and 3rd days. The movers functioned before 4am on the 2nd evening keeping me up all evening. They had to hurry to finish the job, therefore they put the furniture randomly, which makes it very hard for me since I needed to rearrange lots of rather heavy furniture. Moreover they ruined several things, 12 to be precise, and since I really moved a few of those items following the movement into decrease the chaos that they left, and they refused to honor my own promise. I discovered them to become laborious, unprofessional and intentionally blowing my promise. They’ve no idea of customer support as indicated by these not responding to some poll, which as you can imagine, wasn’t a great one. Don’t utilize mayflower as a moving business. They’ll overcomit, under supply rather than honor exactly what you should expect for client services.
Should have known that this was problem from the beginning once the salesperson (Sue Parker) advised me that going was among their most stressful events in existence. I believe that’s true just when coping with her and Mayflower Select Moving & Storage!! We transferred in KC to Minneapolis, but needed to temporarily go to a apt in KC for 3 weeks since our home sold fast. During pickup a classic dresser mirror has been broken since the plumber transported it out of the home. Really, very sloppy!! Insurance did insure that but it was a hassle getting it solved. Biggest complaint was that their dishonesty and lack of communication. Within our final proceed to our home in MN, we had been advised early on the vehicle could pick up out of our apt on the 17th and arrive either the 19th or the 20th. 1 week prior to the movement we first contacted the Operations Coordinator and requested to get an specific date. We clarified that we had been having flooring refinished and had to create certain that the flooring contractors can finish the job in time to get our furniture to be attracted in. At the time Stephanie said that the truck could arrive in the 20th. On the 17th the driver came to pick up in the apt and stated he’d deliver to the 19th. We stated no–Stephanie told me that the 20th and we could not get it delivered to the 19th since the floor contractor would not be finished. After a good deal of back and on Stephanie phoned me and stated that the truck needed to send on 19th and denied ever telling us that the date could be the 20th. I spoke to Sue Parker and she stated”the coming date isn’t at your advantage”. REALLY??? Who’s THE CUSTOMER HERE??? We ended up needing to place ALL of possessions in either our own garage or walkout basement, so and then we needed to transfer them ourselves in the home and put them up. Yes–placing all of our possessions in the perfect rooms and putting them up was a portion of the almost $13k in solutions we paid for but ended up needing to perform ourselves since this corporation could not receive their dates directly! Many, a number of different things were dreadful. We packed ourselves going out of the apt to MN since the packers in our KC home were merely rude, idle, and helpless. When we started packing from the Curious we asked Sue to deliver us a few boxes. She told me that she’d drop off them”when I have yet another appointment to perform a quote on your neighborhood”. To put it differently, she already had our economy so unless servicing us fit in her program to produce a second sale we can only wait. Customer support was simply dreadful! Upon coming at MN, multiple objects were broken and ruined. After the motorist picked up in the aggressively in KC, he didn’t have any clue what speech he had been delivering into in MN but we’d given that advice many days into the Operations Coordinator. Communication was only non-existent within this organization. I contacted Wink Smith, the owner of the franchise, and he actually did not care. He actually told me that the Operations Coordintor we were coping was among the finest. REALLY?? That undoubtedly tells me that I made a poor decision going for this provider. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND MAYFLOWER SELECT MOVING AND STORAGE TO ANYBODY. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I needed to proceed out of the US to Germany and needed to search to an International moving company. After assessing the reviews for several such companys I had been completely frustrated, since most of them had dreadful remarks and evaluations, such as Mayflower.I did select Mayflower though since the title is nicely known.I’m delighted to state that the go, from start to finish, was topnotch for me.Every single mail which I wrote, each questin that I request, has been answered immediatly and at a favorable manner. My shipment came on time, what was there, nothing else had been broken, nor stolen.I’m absolutly happy with Mayflowers support and also happily recommend them for everybody who’s considering moving.
Over-promised and under given. Missed the so called final date of birth window by 4 days. However, the largest watchout is that the packing procedure. They loaded new new unopened items onto the vehicle into their original boxes, and then marked on the delivery records that they had been”badly damaged”. I didn’t understand what they had done since its all in a code. They marked each thing they chose up as badly worn scratched, damaged or dented, a few without ever being in a position to view them (instance stretch wrapped rolled up carpets were noticed as poorly worn. How can they possibly understand? Before they delivered I discovered that and lodged a complaint, to which they answered – biased, oh well. The jagged guy is called Gary Mercer by Kingsport TN. He operates together with the Mayflower team from Arden, NC.
When they sent 18 days after, there’s a box overlooking. Buyer beware.
While the contact man and’ movers’ were fine at First, we discovered the motorist and packers Weren’t proficient at what they were assumed to have been performing. Found out that the contact person and motorist were’aunt and nephew’. We had been’quoted’ to have been sent in 3 days. Actually, we were known as and additional days scheduled for shipping. Individuals that we’d contacted for delivery, dates/times needed to be rescheduled due to the moving firm’s delays. Our thick bedroom dresser was broken beyond repair. Driver even confessed the harm and it had been noted on the invoice of lading.A living space side seat had the cane entirely broken from the side. Two living area lamps were broken. Many upholstered things weren’t covered as they were assumed to have been. We experienced several boxes Which Were ruined with contents broken beyond repair, a few of them were older bits inherited from dead members of our households that couldn’t be replaced. There were many other damages discovered and noticed as contents continued to be unpacked. All damages were mentioned on claim type. This was a Really expensive move! We did miss the promise date believing it was annually. It only slipped my husband thoughts with all he needed to perform for me. I could not drive. We clarified it in that I had major surgery and many, many workplace visits to the physician concerning the complex surgery. Additionally, I was dealing with a personal court case in Addition to coping with property agent for our home in Pensacola. I still have numerous workplace visits to the physician and operation is going to be replicated in under a month. We did get the house business Presdent Pat Larch and obtained by email a terse rejection letter by a Carol Foster, Mgr. Of the Claims Department. While we though we were becoming a’good nationwide’ moving firm, in reality it was just the reverse with each of the damages incurred. It Appears that the packers of the contents of this truck were less experienced as directed to believed.Just want to Ensure That the words gets out about the Mayflower moving company in Pensacola. Sad note….it was advised to us from the touch that most of Mayflower’s company in and outside of Pensacola was army Organization. What a pity that our army would need to put up with such incompetent support.
From begin to finish Mayflower was unsatisfactory. I even wrote to whine after getting restricted help through telephone calls and they weren’t truly worried. This is a entire waste of cash and that I regret the choice to utilize them. The packaging was dreadful and I feel a few of the folks were drunk. Boxes were tagged incorrectly. Things arrived dirty and lacking bits. We needed to go out and purchase components for dining room table and set it back together ourselves. Bad communication.
My husband and I’m so disappointed with the standard of the transfer. Since we’ve finished unpacking, we’ve discovered a lot of things broken and many irreparable. A one of a kind sculpture includes a busted foot; our crystal chandelier is broken; lots of parts of irreplaceable/collectible furniture have been dented and in some instances deeply scraped; our Dyson vacuum cleaner includes gashes from the foundation; and, a number of different pieces of furniture have either some component missing or dented; also, even yard equipment ruined. And of course that people still can not locate a few things and we just have 3 boxes left to unpack (plus they’re too little to hold the things we’re searching for). However, the most upsetting, was my kid’s height graph marking her expansion since she had been born that somebody removed from a desk top, threw off and not only did not inquire if they could eliminate it, but did not even inform us they eliminated it and pulled it away.
We paid a great deal of cash to be sure the move will be as easy as possible, and that our possessions could be dealt with respect and care.
The movers showed up without nearly enough room for all my furniture. They ought to have denied the load, however, approved it and took apart all my furniture to tiny pieces. They broke down furniture which should haven’t been taken aside. The load nevertheless wouldn’t match. They ended up placing things from the cab of their truck. Four men let the truck door closed, in my delicate things, since it had been the only means to find the door closed. There was insufficient space.
The motorist got there at a sensible period of time to unload. After the team was unloading for awhile I realized we’d not been confirming the stock as it came from the truck. So, I grabbed my stock I obtained when they loaded and began checking the amounts. That is when I understood that a whole lot of this load had no stock numbers on these whatsoever. I requested the driver and he advised me to not worry, he had been certain all of my stuff was not there. That is not acceptable or professional in my view. Everything ought to be inventoried. They attempted to offer me a box baby and spring mattress which didn’t belong to me personally. I understood we were overlooking a ladder to our bunk beds, and that was not inventoried. The motorist said he knew precisely where it had been – in a warehouse at Louisiana. However, I am suppose to somehow trust that the remainder of my things all left it. Why would anything else belonging to me maintain a warehouse in a different nation is outside me.
They could not get a number of their furniture back with them. Obviously it’s a number of the identical furniture that should haven’t been taken aside. He said they would find a furniture repair man out to repair it. After we called for this we were informed that there wasn’t any furniture fix individuals in our region. We would need to submit a claim. This confirmed to me personally that our driver was not fair and that I became more doubtful that my toolbox will be in certain warehouse. While I face him he speaks in circles and does not answer my queries.
They lost a terrific deal of hardware out of all of the furniture that they took aside. At one stage we thought they had lost a bit that belonged to your mattress. The driver indicated that they go to lowes and find a bit of plywood to substitute it. Only goes to show that the esteem he had for these items. I wouldn’t ever pay to get this sort of service again. We have experienced movers move us a few times. We have always had great experiences. Though things do get busted from time to time, I have never complained as these situations are infrequent and the customer support was terrific. This, on the other hand, has become a dreadful experience. We have not even started to record our promises yet, I am dreading the procedure given our experience so far. I would never really go through this business again and recommend additional appearance everywhere for a moving business. There are really so many excellent businesses out there to choose you as dreadful as this.
Move complete nightmare, late pickup and delivery, damaged and lost items.paid for insurance and provided penny’s about the dollar.avoid these folks at all price additionally had to pay extra money and also we had a binding estimate..if you Choose to utilize these folks Once the truck shows up before loading seem inside truck and Be Sure that their is sufficient distance the more publication to make more cash and divide shipment on Another truck.please prevent these crooks
I called Mayflower plus they set up an appointment for a quote. The afternoon of my appointment I waited all day for them to appear but nobody ever called or came! I phoned Mayflower plus they gave me the runaround and trasnferred me into the local service. I was subsequently told Mayflower never even gave them my advice! If they can not even appear to the quote what’s going to occur when y transfer date occurs around? I won’t ever call or utilize Mayflower again and again after reading the reviews here, perhaps they did me a favor by not showing up?
The absolute most moving experience I’ve encountered. (I’ve used their opponents with positive encounters ). The true quote made out several eventual expenses and has been COMPLETELY DISHONEST! The movers showed up 8 hours late, things were damaged in transportation. Services I’d negotiated weren’t done without an extra charge. Actual prices far surpassed their quotation and arrangement. Completely unhappy experience, I believe just like fraud and dishonesty is a credo that this provider operates beneath. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!
I Wouldn’t Mayflower to proceed TRASH. Everything that has been transferred wasn’t Covered or shrink wrapped just like stated by Mr Trout he explained that they’d be professional movers who have uniforms that they resemble a lot from rehabilitation. I have called Mayflower all that I got was the run around. After paying nearly 12,000 the furniture is all messed up scratched and marked up. The furniture has been from 1927 I’ve before an after images. Do not trust JD Powers for financing up Mayflower to get a reliable Business in Moving folks are welcome to contact me.
Where do I even begin?? My shifting experience with Mayflower was a total disaster from begin to finish, to the stage that it was nearly (*I say”nearly”) funny. I hired Mayflower to transfer me in Colorado to Tennessee, paying additional to shorten the shipping spread from two weeks to 1 week because of time limits beginning a new endeavor. Over the packing/loading date, the team showed up 3 hours late. The packers (that I discovered afterwards are subcontracted by Mayflower indoors ) sloppily packed with about half of my things and then vanished! They had been gone, and that I literally had half of my kitchen cabinets still untouched, and among other arbitrary piles at different rooms which weren’t packaged (*Note: all these were NOT”unpackable” things, i.e. suits, candles, etc., ) that are typical to be deducted from going by many moving firms ). The moving planner was zero help in attempting to track down them to let them return and complete the job I’d paid them to perform. Fortunately, I had been driving my own car and managed to cram it full of the things that the movers left behind — that the loaders had no longer boxes for me to package up it myself and ship it to the truck together! Then began the saga of shipping. I always had to leave three or more messages requesting an upgrade on my projected delivery date for each return call I received together with the info which they still had zero thought. I’m not satisfied, the previous evening of the guaranteed delivery date each our agreement, the planner told me they’re still trying to work out the way to get a truck to get my own stuff to even be loaded onto to START the transferring process! There was not any strategy, and ZERO communicating. My things ended up becoming delivered 8 DAYS OVERDUE, and then came the interesting component of unpacking to learn really how terrible the packers was : they had wrapped up a soccer match in sheets and sheets of packing paper therefore it ended up an entire enormous box, and yet they had thrown into an open box of cream of wheat in an huge box of kitchen gear. Obviously , I am still cleaning out cream of wheat out of my appliances, dishes, and other household things. I talked with the business right concerning what a dreadful and improper experience that has been, and that there was absolutely no apology or offer of compensation. My loved ones members and friends who lived through this nightmare with me personally will NEVER utilize Mayflower or perhaps consider recommending it to anybody.
We had one of the worst moving experiences you can imagine. We hired Mayflower due to their reputation and aggressive pricing, but we discovered that Mayflower is a business on paper only and is based on local businesses to perform their movements. It’s been one surprise after another….and not fantastic ones! We contracted them to transfer our possessions from Omaha to Mechanicsburg, PA.. On the day that they were supposed to pack the van, a soft-sided van pulled up to”crate our items for storage” two hours and 45 minutes late. They said there was not a van/driver accessible, so they’d need to store our items till they could”locate one”. Mayflower claimed that they were still”withinn contract” since they said they’d pick up our items in Omaha and take them to Mechanicsburg. Technically accurate, but it appeared to us that their choice to put away our items for an undetermined quantity of time at the procedure was foolish. We appeared to have no recourse except to agree to allow them load since we needed to be from their home that day since the new owners had shut. We no longer possessed the home! Here are only a couple of items we put up during this day. *sent a team three rather than four (two of those three were novices) *crated our items in wooden crates, but ran out of space in that van, so that they packaged boxes in a different more compact truck, together with our piano, dividing the dispatch *were advised that all moving supplies could be contained and delivered to us….our sales representative delivered us a tiny pile of USED, STAINED boxes, and we all needed to go pick up all of the remainder *completely forgot to place stock decals on 10 items which we’re conscious of, such as china….that means that they would not be liable if the products were dropped *were informed from the franchise owner that we might predict customer support, but they’d only call him, and he’d do nothing about it *had cash stolen from our bags (Paradoxically, it had to be the men’ trick money.) *motorist was advised by Mayflower that more individuals would come to assist, but they never showed up *finished loading the home at 4:00 AM the following morning *initially said we’d Find a refund of $751 due to the over-estimation, but later they came back and nullified that since they”forgot to weigh” the next truck *two first workers had to phone friends who did not even work for Mayflower to Receive our items loaded, therefore there were unbonded employees in our house (One of those employees were previously fired from Mayflower). *We compensated for them to crate 3 mirrors, plus they were just wrapped in blankets. *Mayflower was quite accommodating before we signed up”I take” on the contract. Now, everything shifted. Our items came in Mechanicsburg on Saturday (seven days when they were packaged ) on a different truck since they needed to unload the crates and then repack them on the significant semi-truck……significance our stuff was unnecessarily moved an excess moment. My son-in-law had half his gear lost, boxes were ruined, furniture taken apart with missing bits, and the list continues on and on. Obviously, we’re spending a great deal of time just trying to piece things back together, locate screws and bolts , etc.. I AM WONDERING HOW MUCH OF THIS WILL GO THROUGH THEIR “FILTRATION” PROCESS…
My cross-country moving encounter with Mayflower literally couldn’t have been worse. This really is a terrible business, using appaling customer services. It began with small errors and got worse and worse. 1. The salesperson showed up in the wrong time for its first evaulation. 2. My credit card has been billed without a notice, after was advised I’d be informed two days in progress as it had been a fee for tens of thousands of dollars. 3. Day of the movement I had an extremely tight schedule as I was going into the airport that day. My pickup has been scheduled 8-10am, which I had been told was constantly when this occurred. I phoned at 9am for an ETA and thank god, since ONLY THEN didn’t understand that my pickup time was altered, without one word to me, to 2-4pm. ONLY because I predicted early and just because I made a massive deal did they can get into my place around noon. I had been extremely rushed and hardly got to the airport in time for the trip. 4. I never got one communication from them then. At some stage a”latest anticipated delivery date” appeared in my online record and I eagerly anticipated the 2 days before phone call I’d been promised. Eventually, I started phoning, and got no answers to innumerable messages, and nothing but bizarre explanations and misinformation once I actually spoke to somebody. The local office had no idea where my dispatch was and it required one decent individual to walk down to the warehouse and physically find it. All because the idiotic folks at Mayflower hadn’t entered it into the computer system. Fundamentally, if I wasn’t known, and called, and called, also called ad nausem, I’m pretty sure all of my possessions would have vanished forever, together with Mayflower making excuses that the whole time. 5. When my things FINALLY came I had been fairly upset with the illness. Solid wood pieces of furniture have been trashed and broken along with the boxes were smashed. 6. Post my late shipping, I STILL can’t get this business to react to me personally. I called the day following a promise for broken things and overdue shipping, was guaranteed a call the following day, also, it has been four times since then. In reaction to complaints I have been told it is not their fault that they were overdue (clearly was), I had not been guaranteed notice (I had been ), and a number of other lies. Hands down, this is the worst business that you can go with so remain far away. The customer support is really poor as to be deceptive and there’s not any communication or respect to clients and the extreme strain of moving cross country.
Moved from Wichita KS into Denton TX. Not only did they nullify my furniture shipping to Texas two, they left over 20 boxes and many bits if furniture things back in Wichita, that meant they needed to earn another delivery that they again rescheduled twice. Some furniture needed dings and scratches in it but to make things worse, they dropped a big clear Rubbermaid bag containing images which were taken within the previous 30 decades! My childrens youth pictures have been in this container! They indicated it with a reddish ticket called 405. I have called Wichita Kansas and asked for the boss, Mike, to telephone me several times and still never hear from him! I phoned again today and then he answered the telephone so that he needed to speak to me personally. He asked him why he never called me and his response is that they have not found them. I asked him How do you expect to locate something you aren’t searching for? He’d told me when this all began that he would contact me every few of weeks to update me on the hunt, not once has he predicted. When my very first delivery has been created I discovered a box which didnt fit to us. The box needed business cards inside so that I contacted the owner of the box and managed to be certain it got back to her. Could never done this she’d still likely be waiting for them to locate it as well. These images aren’t replaceable. They’re my kids’ childhood memories in the film. Would never suggest Mayflower moving company for my friends. I have had many motions as both a military kid and a military spouse. All complete over 40 years invested going from the army and that is hands down the worst move ever.
I wish there was a Zero or negative star rating to select. A well-known business and greatest rated by BBB isn’t so promising. I’ve booked my transfer on May 22nd and my stuff has been packed and packed on Mayflower(mayflower Dodge) Moving truck on June 18th, 2014. We’re moving from Swansea, IL(Suburbs of St. Louis) into Clermont, Florida.Today it is July7th, however no idea when they will send it. I had been given dates for shipping from June 23rd through June 28th. They packaged everything in 1 truck and the loading team explained it is only our things so that it should preferably be faster. We were likely to be delegated a driver to get our truck to the exact date of loading the vehicle that clearly never happened. Tried to get a lot of folks and Mayflower Customer attention however they kept saying that they do not possess a driver and can not allow it. They still have same response exactly what they had 20 weeks past. We live in Florida awaiting the truck to arrive as June 23rd. No thought when will they provide our stuff. In addition, the annoyance is much greater than that which it sounds theoretically. They’re supposed to provide us $100/day following June 28 admissions for delay but that is nothing compared with the frustration, loss of workouts, Fiscal reductions etc.. I am only wishing that I must have pushed my own things by Budget/U-haul truck etc.PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING. Otherwise you will repent it.PLEASE DON’T CHOOSE MAYFLOWER EVER.
Now in the middle of a dreadful moving encounter with Arrow Moving and Mayflower. Not only have our possessions been sitting in a truck for more than fourteen days and still haven’t abandoned SLC, but today we’re past the shipping window and we still have never been given any hint as to why this is or when to expect delivery. We reserved this movement above a month ago and could not have used this firm had we understood they had been too busy to discover a catalyst for our items. Please have more regard for your clients and manage your personal logistics so that you are able to keep your claims and in the very least supply the most elementary amount of advice when you cannot. Our customer support representative appears’very sorry’ to our annoyance but is supplying no replies or predictions for the scenario in any respect. We’re told they’can not locate a driver’ that is inconceivable to me personally. It costs far over $100 per day to feed and house a family daily and I believe that their lack of information shows a total discount for us and our requirements. The main point is that we’re awaiting them to unite our burden with other people simply to save them $$, at our fantastic cost.
I’ve moved all around the globe and 7 times over the USA and I can honestly say that Mayflower would be the best company I’ve ever used. Competative prices, honest, dependable, friendly and incredibly efficient. My merchandise arrived a day early, all thanks to this fantastic motorist Gary, who left the movement easy as may be, he also has a fantastic sense of humor. Nothing has been broken, unlike my previous movers. Mike that the estimator came out as did estimators from 6 other firms but he had been the very professional. If you’d like a fantastic business then look no further this is it.
After viewing this firm’s name on semi trucks throughout this nation possibly I had been duped into believing they were specialists. They charge more than anybody… However, what I was not told until proceed out day was that my things wouldn’t be sent for up of a couple of weeks. I felt duped and tricked by this organization. . Amateurs simply transfer it yourself. . Not worthwhile. .
After multiple army moves with minimal if any harm, this personal transfer out of Tampa, FL to Raleigh, NC had been the worst ever. It cost more than 10,000. And the harm was incredibly absurd. Torn, broken things, liquid packaged with containers, and ruined furniture. I had four pages of promise compensation with supporting photographs and all claims have been refused, although I’d 100% protection. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Short story: The cargo was a week late and damaged.Longer narrative: They packed and picked up my dispatch from mid November. Shipping has been established for a week after. I had been advised I had to be there to take the dispatch or I’d incur additional storage fees. I flew out to ensure that I had been there around the very first possible shipping date and was advised the dawn of the the shipment wouldn’t arrive till a week and a half afterwards. Turns out they understood that the dispatch could not get sent on time until they’d picked up it but had failed to inform me. Though I had been in the destination my possessions were still in a warehouse at the coming city. They knew that after that my possessions were on the vehicle onto a truck I could not do something and that I had to cover so as to have the truck unloaded after it did arrive. When it was unloaed it had been apparent my cargo was loaded and spanned several occasions enroute. In that process plenty of wooden items were ruined, dented, etc.. This was likely because of the fact that they did not possess a driver once they loaded my cargo and needed to load and load it in the trucks into the warehouse and rear several times.DO yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. Grabel quoted greater but that I regret not going together. Between the holiday I burnt, airplane tickets I purchased, and nights at the resort Mayflower price me 5k longer in money and time. Not certain how to market anxiety but likely the 2nd most stressful period in my entire life.
We don’t have a lot of expertise with moving, as we have lived in our previous residence for 30 years — and we’re quite nervous about which firm to employ as they all seemed to possess some terrific testimonials and some rather negative reviews — we all picked Mayflower since they could give us an specific arrival date directly from the beginning, instead of other moving companies which were just able to provide us a”window” of a coming date. They showed up on time, arrived in our new address punctually, and the last cost that we paid was EXACTLY what they offered us in the beginning!! Nothing ruined, nothing lost, no compaints whatsoever!!! Kudo’s to Nick, Brittany and the Whole team of Sinclair Mayflower in Addition to the Florida branch down here at A 1 A Moving. If we must proceed again in the long run, I wouldn’t even consider using anyone else.
We transferred from Maine to Florida and had contacted Mayflower to perform our relocation. Becky Isabell has been a really specialist sales rep and has been there for our every query. That is where positive comments finishes. We had been advised that the movers that arrived to package us would need to load us into a more compact truck which would subsequently be loaded to a larger truck in a distinct site. This is the best storm for thieving and missing things. After the movers came in Florida they advised us that they’d need to move our items once more into a more compact truck in the larger truck. Again the best storm for thieving, missing things, along with rough handling of most of our boxes. We’d had particular crates created for antique boat models. 1 cage hasn’t arrived with this season. My biggest and most upsetting issue is using the direct truck driver around the date that they moved us to our home in Florida. He handed me a sheet and told me how to”check the box off amounts since they’re brought to the home.” I did so diligently as advised. Since the movers were ending up I revealed this guy that there were still boxes NOT checked off. He also took the paper work out of me and once I watched the newspaper again he had checked off each of the boxed but’d missed you. I told this to Becky Isabell the way I felt that this guy wasn’t honest. I felt with this guy because he’d been using this moving business for many years and was out of Maine himself. When he did that to us I am certain that he’s employed this exact same behaviour pattern for many years also on the others. Today the movers don’t wish to cover the classic boat version. They’ve delivered us a tiny test for the broken wine glasses, overlooking classic plates, broken eyeglasses in the paintings. This is a really disreputable means to conduct a small business. I wish I’d have read the opinions on the internet before we ever started together. We’d taken out a rather large insurance coverage together to the transfer also. Mayflower is a ghost business. The mind driver wasn’t fair. Matters disappeared and Nobody is held liable.
If I could give 0 stars, I certainly would. I coped with the neighborhood office at Klamath Falls, OR to prepare my transfer to Iowa and has been amazed with first impression. It went downhill from there!!! The motorist did not appear to load my own possessions on the afternoon of pickup. The neighborhood office delivered a group (which were great ) to find out the things and point them from the warehouse before the motorist might get them. I obtained ONE telephone call in the local office then. All communicating, except that the 1 telephone, was pioneered by me. I called every day to determine whether the motorist had picked up my possessions and also to give me an concept about when to expect delivery. Often, the woman could tell me she’d check on it and call me back and did not predict. I have nothing but the run-around until the other motorist has been assigned to the road. I still haven’t an idea as to what occurred to this first driver.
Following the next driver was delegated along with picked-up my possessions, his truck breaks down 1.5 hours in my property. My possessions sit another 2 days awaiting the vehicle to be fixed. The truck eventually starts the trail and goes down into to California and Arizona.
The only method to keep tabs on the shipment would be to monitor it online that does operate for the most part. The everyday mails that my regional office states that she sends me. . .well let us just say that they are not in my mail or my litter box. I don’t have any trouble receiving the mails linked to quotations and charging.
Therefore…I call the local office AGAIN to voice my frustration regarding the late shipping and the woman explained that if it had been her, she’d have packed more clothing in the event. Obviously, I was angry. As I drove all across the USA in a vacant car!!!! Does she need me to leave my children behind? Really??? Is this the clients fault? She informs me this Mayflower will get this right by offering me $100 daily which the skip the shipping date. I really don’t want their cash!!! I’d like my possessions.
PLEASE AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!!! I utilized BUDD Van Lines once I moved from Ohio to Oregon at 2011 and they have been Wonderful. They cost a bit more but trust me once I say I’d rather pay slightly more and prevent 2 months of complete annoyance.
Mayflower transferred both bedroom condominium Throughout the Nation. The motorist failed to convey as promised. He showed up in a Massive van which may not even enter the condominium complex. We’d told him beforehand, and when he’d called as he needs to, we might have educated him. He had to drive 20 miles north to offload our shipping. In the process he neglected to ditch a position brass lamp. The loading broker confessed it had been on board, and we did receive the lampshade. When we detect it Wasn’t delivered, we had been to that it was disassembled and was at a box. It wasn’t. I feel the motorist failed to ditch it to the smaller truck and was too exhausted to drive the 20 miles back and forth. We filed a claim with Mayflower. It had been refused by BRETT RAPPS of this CUSTOMER CLAIMS DEPT. on the premise that we didn’t object in writing at the time of delivery that the lamp was lost, in other words we signed the approval of delivery kind without making any exceptions.
MY ADVICE: IF YOU USE MAYFLOWER, THEN MAKE THE DELIVERY CREW STAND AROUND WHILE YOU OPEN EVERY BOX AND CHECK OFF EVERY ITEM ON THE INVENTORY CONTROL FORM. THE DELIVERY CREW ALWAYS WANT TO LEAVE ONCE THE BOXES AND FURNITURE HAVE BEEN DELIVERED – BUT DON’T LET THEM, OTHERWISE YOU WILL END UP LIKE US, CLAIM DENIED BY BRETT RAPPS!
If I could save anybody from a debilitating encounter, I’ll by writing this review. What I didn’t know was that the guy that speaks with you, comes to a home to stock your merchandise and then estimates the price of the transfer isn’t the person in charge. He’s a salesman and as soon as you’ve signed the newspaper, you can’t see or hear from him again. If your possessions aren’t a complete load to your very long distance hauler, it’s put in a warehouse until they locate a tight load or loads which may be put together with your possessions. Your possessions are managed twice or perhaps more. Based on where the other heaps are, your products might be around the top or at the bottom. Subsequently the driver selects a local guy to help unload the vehicle and bring on your items. My boxes had been smashed, products inside destroyed, furniture dented or scratched, things broken after which we had been advised that it was because we didn’t utilize the enterprise to package items. As soon as I registered a claim that an adjuster came out and they provided me a little bit of money, maybe not sufficient to pay repair or replacement. Only an awful experience that I hope to avoid in the long run by packaging my own items and forcing my own truck. Honestly, I really care about my items and obviously they don’t.
I’m a doctor just out of residency and also we utilized Mayflower to transfer our possessions from condition. I might need to mention this was among the worst conclusions and experiences during my career whilst going out of state to state for coaching. They had been 3 weeks late delivering out things and every time that I talked with a customer support representative that they informed us they couldn’t locate a driver to deliver our possessions. They picked up our things out of our house and took them into a warehouse at Tucson, Arizona in which they sat for many weeks. They always told us we had been a priority however they couldn’t bring our belongings till they could fill out the truck using a few different orders. I started my new project only out coaching that was stressful enough but we needed to purchase our kids air beds to sleep on for many weeks and utilize disposable cups, plates, and utensils. This was quite upsetting for my kids who already felt really homeless. After the truck came, our load has been crushed between 2 different movers belonging and every box has been destroyed and smashed. We’re still discovering things which are brokenup. I’ve called customer service many times within the previous two months with the majority of my calls not being returned. While I do get a hold of somebody they inform me just how important we are to them but each of my worries are not addressed by direction. When management finally reacted to get a client support assert they reacted using a fraction of the expense of this transfer. I really could go on but I shall finish with this is only one of the very most egregious businesses I’ve ever encountered. We’ll never contract them again. Anyone that I talk with in my personal or professional life that I will counsel them never to rely on them to proceed.
I’ve not ever place any inspection for any business online up to now in my entire life. I had a nightmare encounter with MayFlower Transit, therefore I needed to place it for interest of different clients. I hired this business for transferring my things out of TN to CA. I thought it’s a national firm, so needs to be gotten for interstate transportation. They delivered my things 3 weeks late after latest date on agreement. When they sent it was just 60 percent of my things. Moving co-ordinator didn’t inform me that they left over rest 40 percent of my things at a warehouse. They loaded things of 4 households together in one huge truck and ours was the final one to be wealthy. They attracted dining seats but not a dining table. They attracted parts of infant crib, but maybe not bolts and screws to build it in first shipping. My family needed to sleep on air mattress for nearly 4 months. Our two yrs older babu could sleep nicely for 4 months because of not having a her own crib. They ruined our ping-pong dining table and didn’t reimburse for this. I’d tried to telephone and email numerous times to client support folks, but it simply goes on deaf ears. I’d only go on writing bunch of complaints, but ultimately I want to counsel not ever hire this business who does not need to do the work professionally even after complete payment. They’re cheaters.
Mayflower headquarters lent me a”neighborhood sub-contractor” they utilize.
I inform the sub-contractor that I MUST proceed by 9/30 no afterwards. I predicted 9/10, ” she informs me that I must await an estimator to find outside on 9/16. On the date nobody shows. I’m TIME restricted, she states asks me on the telephone what you would you have? (it could actually fit into a little box truck) she stated she will e-the quote. Were not. I phone and she places the bomb on me.1 Condo (two additional firms gave me and estimate at $950 but because the didn’t incorporate the home stuff I did not use them)–Thus for a single car, and a little truck load they needed $9000!!!! That has been their quote!!! No means for 650 mile trip that requires 10 hours. I understand I’ve completed the milking. Conservatively this project is 4000 including the vehicle, at shirts.
So that she jerked me about wasting my own time to rope me into a time restriction to where I’ll consent to whatever, is exactly what this came down to. I phoned Mayflower/United headquarters to examine that unethical behaviour. MAYFLOWER customer support supervisors afterward an alleged boss at headquarters were equally as disgusting by not only being appalled but rather reluctantly”geraldines” unethical behaviour like scamming is the standard for the organization.
I Would like TO THANK ALL OF THEM FOR SHOWING THEIR TRUE COLORS BEFORE I SIGNED ONTO THEIR SERVICES.
You did me a massive favor!!
So I started looking online for a different organization and that I came across this site!!! Thank you again Mayflower!!!
This Website IS AWSOME!!! Provides great inside info about what to anticipate from movers, even from individuals with actual experiences!
Maybe not jus one or two tales which could be composed by the firms themselves.
Mayflower customer support discussion and feed back was dreadful and left me with the distinct belief that SCAMMING THE CUSTOMER IS THE INSTITUTIONALIZED NORM, such as these. There’s a silver lining in every cloud due to their unethical behaviour I discovered this website and I had been spared by making a massive mistake by registering onto their services.
SAVE YOURSELF FROM THEIR ABUSE….DON’T USE MAYFLOWER.
My expertise with Mayflower Transit for the transfer out of Pennsylvania to Texas was so outstanding. I contacted many companies but once I spoke to the agent for Mayflower at New Jersey, I understood this was the business that I wanted to transfer my things. I just had a tiny window to both get a quotation and then have my things packaged and moved. He had been there Friday to get a quote along with the packers arrived on Monday to package and move my things. The packers and also the guys who sent my things in Texas were equally considerate and cautious with everything. Surely would use them again!! Additionally, Mayflower was a lot more reasonable compared to other businesses.
I hired Premier Relocations whose Parent Company will be Mayflower lately to get a cross country move and I am unhappy with the support for a couple of factors. In the event you decide to go with Mayflower understand that your glass tables or anything which has a glass high won’t be reassembled, even when they’ve disassembled them. This wasn’t explained to me before this move.
I’ve 12 glass tables/pieces of furniture like a huge glass top amusement centre. Three in particular are glass tables that have to be screwed together that the movers denied to reassemble. I hired Mayflower a couple of decades back and they re-assembled those specific SAME three glass tables without a issue.
I cannot understand why this provider thinks it’s sensible for a client to lift very thick glassand let alone re-assemble something which they didn’t disassemble from the very first place!!
AThey transferred me in Florida to New York City. I obtained an insurance of $100,000-value for lost or damage of my furnitures. My lovely French timber furniture that were recorded as large value items were stored in moist storage and’d gray mildew or have been used outside. A side table timber has been increased frm the moist as well as the inurance adjuster told me they won’t cover that since it can’t be corrected! ◾️ Every timber thing were either broken or independently damaged◾️ At New York they’d supplied just three unexperienced movers to unload the furniture. They brook the majority of my wood furnitures while setting them up throughout the elevator. ♦️ It seemed like they gathered those workmen in the street corner and hired for just only day job! They reserve or cheeped each and every wood furniture that I have.
♦️ One of the damaged merchandise was an costly and incredibly high quality side desk having a unique lacquer shirt got a pit the side and water and moist got inside and their adjuster that gave us a trip affirmed the large value to the harm! Then the insurance policy claimer refused and refused to cover the damage, claiming the harm wasn’t transit connected. ♦️
The whole moving process for this business was a joke. Careless, inconsiderate and never near specialist just skims the surface. My possessions were treated like crap. Fragile boxes piled high on a hand truck and bounced down a flight of stairs. Unprotected items dragged down the driveway. Things left unattended out from the rain. The incorrect size truck has been utilized so today everything needs to be transferred into a smaller truck for shipping. And exactly what reassurance can I get that ANYTHING has been treated correctly? “We can send you a claim form”. I am reluctant to see my possessions if ever they arrive. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY. They’re BEYOND AWFUL. I can’t speak to if things were discharged because my delivery is presently being moved. However videos and photos encourage carelessness and harm when loading in New York.
Every step of the experience was frustrating. The packing crew did not wrap things and packaged things in a way that caused many things to split. The movers packed heavy things on milder ones, causing harm. The unused packaging substances weren’t picked up as mentioned, causing us to postpone our death, costing us more money. The inspector walked around with his pants unzipped, rolling his eyes when I tried to answer inquiries. The business won’t provide us some copies of the policies or processes or a deadline for when this might be settled. Months after, and we still haven’t seen any compensation and can not get everyone to get messages. We attempted to work together, not asserting the minimum damages to either of our houses and just requesting partial compensation for our compensation. They haven’t shown us the exact same respect. I wouldn’t ever let Mayflower to transfer us again. Chalk this up to a very costly lesson on the part. At this speed, I doubt we ever see reimbursement to our things.
I’ve binding quote for a period including 3rd party solutions for innovative fees for unhooking & hooking up a washer and drier in the source and destination at $180.00 (that was included in the sum for the transfer ). Following the transfer that I got another bill for $92.00. After many calls to the organization and billing I’m told that the they can bill me more now. My criticism is the reason include it at a binding quote if they will charge you more anyhow. It shouldn’t be contained or this amount ought to be deducted today from what I already paid. So this really is deceiving. I’d added fees for storage that I do not dispute.
I phoned Mayflower and this salesman showed up using Mayflower classifieds and flyers with Mayflower title and images and we signed the contract then the afternoon I was moving from my home A truck using the title UNITED VAN Lines shows up we had been shocked. We had been advised it is the exact same firm since United Van Lines bought Mayflower. They put this down filthy filthy floor covers. They did hurt nearly all of our furniture once they delivered, they provided us $300.00 bucks even we had a complete coverage and the afternoon delivered the sole day with rain forecast they wouldn’t alter the dates or cost you a lot of money to save it some where close your property. If they showed up to provide this one tall man with a girl like 200 pounds sitting at passenger side doing nothing but seeing if we inquired where’s help? He said that the aid is is coming from Knoxville Tennessee and that he had been an hour late showed up saying that he had a flat tire. This girl from the passenger was associated with tall man and did nothing however that I think was getting paid and a part of those 3 men were assumed to move the furniture. My furniture has been put into truck by shuffling everything in order that they can conserve every inch of room from the truck. The majority of my furniture have been scraped and dented. They were pricey too I just had bedroom and living space for $4500.00 bucks. By Orlando to Dandridge Tennessee. I had been advised to prorate my storage fee, they never did, they overcharged me. I would not ever use or recommend them it had been a nightmare.
Like most of moving businesses, this one is still another unpleasant one.
– The quotation: of class was simple and also it was quite accurate, hence both starts. It had been timely and covered all the particulars. Did not insure the details that are unpacking, that has been a major surprise.
– Pre-packing: This is when things began getting dicey. There were no recordings of me once I called to confirm. This was frightful. Needed to go through numerous hoops to allow them to even find me. With all the stress of deadlines and packaging, the last thing you Require a week before your journey is for your moving business to continuously state They Are Unaware of your relocation
– The packaging: Total painless, It had been done over two weeks, however it had been over a weekend. This really is lousy company in my opinion, as today you’ll spend your weekend using an apartment full of boxes. On the other hand, the workers were both professional and tagged everything very carefully.
– The transit: a night mare, nobody had any clue where my dispatch was. Had to undergo three gap telephone facilities to even locate that, simply to notify me that they don’t have any clue. I had been the one that advised the most important company where my dispatch was, after I found the driver myself. It’s a dreadful feeling not having any hint where your life possessions are.
– The unpacking: The notion of unpacking would be: reverse the box with everything you possessions upside down and abandon it in almost any area. We’d 96 boxes, please envision the massacre. The spouse and I nearly had a nervous breakdown. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS OPTION. It’s useless.
– The wake: Obviously somethings were ruined. The claim adjuster is equally as bad as these come and I won’t be receiving a penny for near 2000 dollars worth of losses. My transfer cost 6800 bucks to get a 570 square foot flat and 96 boxes. Add 2000 buck for reductions and 200 for food and tips for the employees. This really is really for 1600 mile trip.
The moving business is complete plagued with comparable or worse tales, I doubt that there are anything businesses which are any better than that. But because of the monopolized nature of the market, there are limited options. Therefore testimonials like mine function as a rant, over a helpful guide.
Transferring to North Carolina was fine, nothing actually got ruined but one spoonful of all ours. Now departing North Carolina was just another story. They showed around our home using an already full bath and simply started pushing our stuff to the truck. As it arrive at Idaho over half of our huge furnatire was damaged or broken. The major things, which youd think could be more difficult to break. When we delivered our claims in we were advised that they would not cover it. Said that they would give us a few but not our inquiring. (That our inquiring costs were lower compared to the true cost to replace every one of the items that they broke) So here I’m with bulk of my huge furnatire broke and that I am in a position to replace one or even 2 of those things they broke with all the cash the insurance offered us to get our promises. I am really so sorry if you get stuck for this particular moving business, I wish you luck.
Mayflower Transit, LLC billed us $6,876 for a global home transfer from Bluffton, SC 29910 into Wilmington, NC 28412, a cargo invoice space of 268 miles. The freight bill internet weight was 12,660 pounds. The loading date and also agreed scheduled delivery date have been in August 2017.
Our”Mayflower” shifting experience was characterized with the following:
• Negligent and insufficient performance and exorbitant fees
• Fees for”seasoned professional” materials and services not supplied
• Two trucks using insufficient combined freight space
O One lease truck
O One truck partly loaded with products from a different customer
• Articles managed without maintenance
• Many expensive things badly damaged
• Many expensive things missing
• The participation of six companies,”brokers” and/or subcontractors
1. UniGroup, Inc. located in Fenton, MO, the proprietor of Mayflower Transit, LLC
2. Mayflower Transit, LLC located in Fenton, MO
3. Mayflower Transit, LLC, located in Chicago, Il
4. Nilson Van & Storage, located in Columbia, SC
5. Nilson Van & Storage, located in Savannah, GA
6. Sandhills Moving & Storage Co., situated in Southern Pines, NC
• Leaving a Combination of storage and residence things in a storage device so as to Create a delivery program devotion to a different client
• Inaccurate and incomplete Household Goods Descriptive Inventory
• Incorrect reassembly of things disassembled
• Several hours late arrival on load date
• Goods delivered a day later than agreed
• “Mayflower” decision makers unwilling to make things right
Moved in their warehouse to NC Crew arrived in a rush, couldn’t keep up with assessing boxes, most ended up at the incorrect space Electric bed frame wasn’t completed, dropped that night discovered tote with 8 3.5″ screws } which weren’t installed. Power cable has been left inside framework. Broke a wheel of quite pricey TV rotating rack. A few scratches on furniture, They all care was to complete quick
I had this incredible encounter with mayflower. My planner, Linda, create everything simple and communicated effectively throughout the whole procedure until our funrniture has been sent.
Our driver Ricky and his son Kenny were the very best! Professional, courteous, accurate and handled our possessions like it had been their own. I’m really
Fortunate to have had a pleasure to satisfy these men – I’d request them personally if I ever needed to return to AZ from VT..
Thank you for all Mayflower! You’re mad to not go with this corporation.
Big thanks again to Rick, Kenny and Linda. A TEAM!!
Wonderful experience. The movers were very professional and carefull using all our possessions. We’re quite uncomfortable about selecting a moving business but we definitely made the perfect option. Should we ever move again ( I doubt it since we moved into our dream home and place ) we shall absoutly employ Mayflower again.
I can’t advise you strongly enough to NOT use this organization and could advise some kind of law against their terrible support.
1. Dealt with approximately 5-7 distinct individuals all with different business names. Nobody was on precisely the exact same page and no communication between them. No manipulation occurred as I spent hours and hours on the phone with those individuals.
2. Got treated horrendously by co-ordinator. No customer support at all, I told her several times on calls & emails precisely when I had the move completed by, I was called a liar stating I did not but’d written confirmation of these that I sent 4 times ahead of the delivery.
3. After almost begging to get a timeframe of this delivery I had been told a flat out”NO” they would not call the local delivery men. I asked because of their amount as I would phone them myself, again was advised no. (shocked)
4. Delivery turned up and that I was not there, again following requesting for days WHEN it’d be sent I was not advised.
5. Massive number of damages, higher end tables, smashed TV, broken children beds, infant girls furniture ruined all of which was delicate hand painted furniture; chair, armoire, writing table, table bin (all fanatical since they are one off ), broken glass decanter, broken candle stick holders, and dining table divided, scratches throughout console table, sentimental ornaments shattered etc.. Just beyond enormous the harms that occurred, this can’t possibly be regular practice to hand off it using a claim type.
6. Missing things in delivery. Zero calls or communicating on where the products were. Chased and chased and got no response of the missing substance. I again was only sent a claim form.
7. I had been the one always reaching out into the co-ordinator who did not co-ordinate anything like I had to cope with various business’s and spend hours searching for our stuff.
Please please save yourself the hassle and don’t use this organization. Mayflower are honestly the most dreadful firm I’ve ever had the unlucky frustrations of coping with. There ought to be some kind of law against a company such as this and their license revoked.
This individual just wants cash. She’s considering her girlfriend maybe not you

Interstate transfer AL into WA with contract where Mayflower’s own contract promised:
“Full Value Replacement Coverage” that claims;”Full (Replacement) Value Protection is the most comprehensive program available for security of your products. If any guide is lost, destroyed, or damaged while on your plumber’s custody, your attorney will, at its choice, either 1) fix the guide to the extent required to restore it into exactly the exact same state as when it had been obtained by your plumber, or cover you for the expense of these repairs; or 2) replace the content with an article of like kind and quality, or cover you for the cost of such replacement.”
Mayflower contracted to pack/crate particular high value items such as a Portoro Super marble tabletop. Mayflower failed to crate some other things before transferring them. Marble tabletop came broken. I left a promise to Mayflower and its parent Unigroup for the broken marble table top. 3 weeks – no reply. I got and delivered to Mayflower/Unigroup a binding quotation by a marble firm into (1) replace the marble tabletop using the specific same masonry, (2) manufacture to the specific same dimensions (so it’d match the original table base, and (3) transport to me. Thereafter, Mayflower/Unigroup eventually responded saying that they were getting other replacement estimates. A month after, Mayflower/Unigroup provided to cover me ONLY 10 percent of the binding quotation for the complete value replacement price I’d supplied to them. The Mayflower/Unigroup deal was supposedly based upon an assessment in their own exemptions. Mayflower never obtained any quotations to really replace the tabletop as promised.
Mayflower violated its promise to crate things before transferring them and then breached its promise to supply whole Value Replacement. Mayflower didn’t guarantee and I didn’t consent to accept just”appraisal value policy” or”actual cash value” coverage. Mayflower claims Full Value Replacement policy for lost/broken things and then tries to deceive its clients by paying significantly less than the replacement price. DO NOT TRUST MAYFLOWER, DO NOT MOVE WITH MAYFLOWER OR ANY OTHER MOVERS OWNED BY UNIGROUP [Mayflower’s parent company That’s involved in claims modification ] – YOU CAN FIND A LIST ON THE INTERNET of all Unigroup possessed movers.
We moved from Indianapolis to Boston with Mayflower. The regional Mayflower representative that we talked with to get a quote ensured that the movers would require care of our furniture, then pack it in the truck, drive cross-country, unload, and re-assemble our furniture. We assessed several reviews on the internet, and opted to go with Mayflower.
1 – The movers were 1 hour late to pack the truck up in Indianapolis. No big thing.
2 – They didn’t use any maintenance. Several things become broken, scratched, dented, and otherwise damaged. They refuse to use us to compensate for the damages.
3 – If they were unloading our things in Boston, they totally refused to re-assemble some of their furniture. I had been advised by the Mayflower’s corporate office, and also their regional office agents, and also our Mayflower reservation representative, which re-assembly is regular. However , they refused to re-assemble some of their furniture, and also their answer was:”Sorry. That is odd that the movers would not re-assemble anything to you, but we can not make anybody do anything.” Basically telling me that we had been screwed.
For the sum of money they charged, and amount of support they claim, it’s been a totally disgusting experience working together. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. Do not make the exact same error as me – publication using a credible, dependable, moving firm. Mayflower is dreadful.
I transferred from Illinois to Arizona 8/2019. My furniture was to be loaded on website in my home in to storage vaults, it wasn’t. I’m told that if the items arrive in the storage container that the team needs back their blankets and that they unwrap your furniture.
The furniture after pulled for delivery stays foreclosed in the warehouse floor to your cross country motorist that delivers your merchandise to re wrapping.
I wound up with broken deliveries which were postponed one and a couple of weeks.
All but 4 pieces of furniture have been scratched, dented, warped or plain filthy.
My entrance porch Stucco was ruined by careless delivery individuals.
So today it’s been 7 weeks since submitting my claim. I’m on my next repair company. The very first, Client Claims, brought matters back worse than that they left with swirls, mismatched colours, smeared endings, etc.. I’ve been waiting 8 weeks now for a manager to authorize the next repair business to attempt fixes. I’m being relegated into new adjusters, nobody knows that has my situation, nothing has solved. I had been advised that the very first repair firm confessed the mess they left and withdrew fees. Nice for UniGroup insurance, but I am left with ruined furniture with no ending in sight. They would like to provide me look alterations, but a lot of things are just a couple of years old and what was nicely cared for.
I packaged my very own heavy duty, brand new boxes, one’d broken things. My boxes have been utilized as a workbench to lift my sectional on if it had been wrapped.
I’d pay extra for full value coverage with policy for pairs and sets.
My advice, do not bother transferring items you’ve got.
To start with, they did not wear gloves or masks throughout a PANDEMIC. Secondly, the bumper came from my car through the transportation and they refused the claim. Shook my husband’s hand! Not designed to do this through a PANDEMIC. Don’t use them again.
Moved from Mayflower Nashville 8/27/19; saved products at Mayflower Hackensack NJ. 1 ENTIRE container/4 of all 75K of my products (new television, all clothing, wedding album) was NOT delivered to 7/9/20 into NYC condo. No itemized record at shipping. Even had one box mis-delivered to me from a different family. NJ won’t even take my calls. I don’t have any confidence that anybody is even searching. Don’t use again.
