    Long-distance move from Maryland
    Lies vs Truth

Cross-border dispatch – Maryland into British Columbia
Lie: Total Replacement value means only that
Truth: You simply get the value that you originally paid for this, not now’s price payable: The Insurance Provider determines the worth
Truth: Allied Van Lines informs you what you will receive
Lie: They will cover you to repair the thing to it’s original condition
Truth: Make Sure That You Get an Entire quote and struggle for it or they will just offer you HALF of the promised amount
Lie: Complete replacement value covers whatever you packaged
Truth: You’re out of luck on this one! – Not 1 penny unless the box contains bodily harm. Not even photographs of this FRAGILE decal helped.   They’ll inform you to inspect the contract provisions Department 1a -(CYA general term) -‘in an action, omission or arrangement of shipper’.  AND you simply get the contract as soon as you’ve signed it if the truck is loaded!
    Lie: We promise delivery dates
Truth: They could guarantee whatever they need – you will get your possessions  on their own program
Lie: All of the delays were weather-related
Truth: I saw that the weather throughout the continent – NOT!  They had no clue where the motorists were.  Speak with the driver when he arrives; he will tell you the facts
Lie: Cross-border transport (to Canada) – do not require a value of all products Truth: Yep, you do, or else you may spend hours at habits writing out a manifest with dollar worth…and this can be by BOX, maybe not complete dispatch – do you understand what is in all those boxes? Customs needs to understand.
DO NOT prepay in full with a credit card whenever you opt to utilize them.  Hold back 10 percent and cover on day of shipping.  Perhaps they will make a concerted attempt to provide your ownership within the specified timeframe.
Delivery recap:  Delivery dates quoted as Jan 14-27, 2014
Jan 8 – possessions loaded on a truck; We asked the products remain on the vehicle (more protected and less handling) but the driver told us that our products were unloaded in their warehouse and repacked before loading on the trailer – more weight = more cash!  Victory Van told me they’d remain on the truck before the motorist came from Florida then an immediate move would happen.
Jan 21 – Initial dispatch left Maryland. That is when I was subsequently told the cargo was broken.
Jan 28 – Initial shipment arrived at British Columbia Canada – 20 times to traveling 2700 miles?
Feb 6 – I had been told we’d need to clear the next half of ourselves! HUH! – Yup, visit the cargo forwarder workplace, get paperwork, and visit traditions at airport, return paperwork to cargo forwarder – presumed we paid big dollars for them to look after it?  Luckily we coped with a very Great man in the cargo forwarders who clarified the wreck to us.
Feb 14 – Secondly dispatch eventually delivered – Yep that 37 days afterwards!  Guess they shipped it to Timbuktu original
In short: The left hand does not know what the ideal hand is doing or where it’s for that issue.  They don’t have any idea about cross-border shipments in the event you utilized Allied Van Lines/North American Van Lines, or his or her broker Victory Van Corporation/Matthew Moving Business (one in exactly the same) state your prayers as you’ll need all of the patience you can muster to manage them.  THEY TALK THE BIG TALK however DON’T WALK THE WALK!!!!!   If you are brave enought to attempt them….ABOVE ALL ELSE – TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE BOXES AFTER BEING TAGGED WITH INVENTORY NUMBERS ON THEM AND DON’T ALLOW THEM TO LOAD BEFORE YOU HAVE DONE SO!  They can be your possessions – that they won’t care for them; you need to!

    Long-distance move from Maryland
    Worst movng company ever

I am only able to encourage the other reviews that also signaled that Matthew Moving is your worst moving business.  I’ve had three motions along with Matthews Transferring was the worst by far.  They sent individuals who stealed a few items and then denied to fix all of the things which were broken when I moved back into the home.  I even had insurance and they attempted to stop me from utilizing the insurance since it would improve their prices.  Totally unethical and dishonest!  Don’t use Matthews Moving-you may definitley perform better!

    Long-distance move from Maryland
    WORST MOVE EVER!

We hired Victory Van Line/Matthew Transferring Co., Inc. after getting several quotations from other nearby moving van lines. This was the worst going experience of our own lives. My husband’s place has requrired us to maneuver around a few times within the previous ten decades and we’ve never needed such unprofessionalism with a moving firm EVER! Our classic bed was broken up ( rather than compensated for by the businesses insurer ) off the legs among our couch’s hasn’t been observed from the moving boxes or differently. A extremely costly lamp color and screws has been missing, scrapes on a really pricey dining room table, and kitchen table in addition to a cradenza. The transferring company mailed you (1) packer to get a 5,000 square foot house completely furnished. Matthew Transferring informed us he’d be swift, and he had been all we’d need. He completed the packaging in 3 times! The moving firm also did not appear on the scheduled movement afternoon, and never known to say we’ll be overdue or even the driver of the 18 wheeler isn’t a display, simply did not appear. When we asked them to determine why they weren’t there to move us, we had been informed at the point why the did not reveal and told us couldn’t have a date any other day or period until mid July, since they were booked solid. Mind you, we’re packaged and desired to be from the house by the next day. We contacted the owner of this Van lineup and have been told we were not as crucial as another contracted moves, since we were not a government transfer. Following a exhausting afternoon of discussions with all the moving company they discovered us a team from Virginia. . .we reside in Maryland. We want to get $200.00 to our broken mattress and other broken things and they nearly did not honor the projected pricing to the transfer since they said we had been above the estimated fat, along with everything else they’d done to us. I wouldn’t ever suggest these folks to anybody. In Reality OUR NEXT LETTER IS TO THE BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU. Best of luck to all those of you that do decide to utilize this organization and I certainly hope that you utilize the goverment, differently. . .hang up it!

    Horrible!
