Lesson learned: Use Town and Country Movers at Maryland. While their quotation was high, they had been obvious that a four team team could be required and the price per hour is far lower than JK. My second move from another home won’t be JK.

I picked JK Moving since they’re allegedly an employee owned firm with a stake in quality client services. While their administrative and marketing staffs are extremely professional, in which they fail is using the regional crews they employ to fill and load furniture. The loading team ruined the brick brink of the home dragging dollies over it, even though I was informed after that company policy prohibits using dollies from the home. The loading team was inexperienced in transferring large furniture and ruined walls coming from the staircase. Tired of all, in unloading it had been apparent lots of pieces of fine furniture had been destroyed in transit – a busted wooden table leg, table shirts dangling in their foundations, scratches and chips of wood overlooking, rub marks onto adjacent parts of furniture etc.. I had explicitly said that preventing damage to furniture has been my leading transferring dilemma (not price!) , but that didn’t appear to matter. The loading took over 14 hours (9Am to 1:30AM another day). The driver led the group and needed to steer the motion of the furniture in the home, in addition to package the truck. Certainly they had at least two people with packaging and moving experience with this particular 24,000 pound proceed. Damaged furniture has been the result of the shortage of attention and time for packaging.   A number of the unloading team was excellent and cautious, others put poles clearly marked”fragile” with arrows indicating”upward” under other significant boxes and onto their sides or upside down. At least a half a dozen bookshelves needed the help hooks to the shelves overlooking. While the vehicle driver and his main assistant were quite agreeable and tried to create things go well, the packaging of the furniture wasn’t performed well. To get a movement costing over $13,700, I expected much better maintenance. For all these reasons, I wouldn’t suggest JK Moving Business.

Working with this business was quite simple start to finish. The packers and movers were prompt, professional and the price was quite economical!
We’ll be using them again for the next part of our transfer!

JK Moving Services transferred my wife and I from Hamilton, Virginia into Purcellville, Virginia at 2018. This was the first time time JK has transferred us within the previous twenty decades. It had been another fantastic experience.

We had been in that home in Hamilton for nearly 15 decades. We obtained quite a lot of things at the moment. Besides a 7 bedroom home, we had a garage, barn and many outbuildings of gathered possessions. Our materials comprised antiques, musical instruments, etc. etc..

Everything was packaged with caution. The crews were superb. The group worked tirelessly to get 12 hours and that our movement has been finished in 1 day. The group was professional and friendly. Eric Vislay, our relocation coordinator was exceptional and seen throughout the movement — even brought donuts for its group.

I came online to find reviews of different moving companies and has been amazed to discover such a negative review of JK Moving.
I had such a fantastic experience with JK the final time I moved that I’ve asked them to come back and give us a quote for our second one in a couple of weeks.
We did all the packaging ourselves to spend less. We’re just moving around town, therefore no long-distance or storage transportation was required.
I requested them to ship at least 1 man on the team that spoke English well – that they did this. The 4-man team was quick and productive. They place 1 man in the kitchen to pack our items in there & another 3 worked on draining the home. From the time they had been completed, the kitchen was prepared to move – they came at 0800 and we pulled away in the old home in 1230.
They stopped for lunch & met me in our new home in 1400. They put down things to protect the carpeting in the house and unloaded everything in about two hours.   Though only 1 man on the team was fluent in English, the remainder talked sufficient to ask questions & understand answers about where which boxes & things went. My piano was not even out of tune!
In the Entire thing, just 1 plate has been broken.   1 plate. That is it.   The experience was exceptional, with zero problems in Any Way.   I expect exactly the identical knowledge in my next movement.

Two days past JK Movers came on time in our condo in Old Town, Alexandria. The three men began to work instantly. They functioned nonstop all day. Not only were they really considerate and cautious with our possessions, but they were amazingly fair. My husband had, a couple of days before, inadvertently dropped a jar filled with collectors’ silver and gold coins on the bedroom floor; we believed we’d picked them all up and returned them into the jar. Apparently we’d missed an whole few that had rolled way beneath the mattress. Mario came to the living room where my husband and I had been doing last minute packing of personal items and handed us the coins he’d discovered. Obviously, we were overjoyed and astonished; just how simple it could have been for him to have pocketed the change. We’d have been none the wiser. In our destination 40 miles off, the team was very patient with us if we changed our heads and requested them to reposition a bit of furniture here or there. Thank you JK Movers; you are the very best.

After being advised that our new house wasn’t prepared to move into in the last moment, I had been feeling very stressed.  JK Moving was the one thing that went directly during our movement.  Our movers showed up on short notice to package my belonging up and saved them for me until our new house was prepared.   They have been about time to pack up me and move me in. They worked fast and economically; making certain that all of the boxes have been put in the ideal rooms.  They also did a fantastic job at constructing the furniture that’s a very pain, particularly the beds out of Ikea.  Thank you a lot for all of your help.

JK Moving is your best. They came in the time that they explained, worked hard while there, accommodated easily to a few my last-minute asks, were so careful with all my belongings, also upfront about scheduling and prices. I received a call in JK’s admin while the team was in my house, asking if matters were so satisfactory — they had been. They’ll save my things until I find my second house. There was a slight glitch about a few of the smaller prices, however they immediately corrected that (otherwise they would be ideal, and we all know nobody is). Another reason why I picked JK, aside from their excellent evaluations from Washington Consumer Checkbook, is that they lead in many different methods for their regional communities. I appreciate this highly.

My experience began back in October heading out becoming Bids on various moving companies. By the time that the salesman arrived and introduced himself, and we picked JK. By the time the team came to pack up us, until the crews brought our belongings to our new house, everything was always on stage, good communications involving moving office and team,Professional Polite, Courteous, Respectful, and on top of that, ON TIME. We hired JK Movers to transfer the contents of a 1 bedroom flat in Arlington into our house in Chantilly. They did a wonderful job. Every facet of the movement was well-executed. They came on time, dealt with a sudden delay in access to the loading dock easily, packed everything fast… what that I was most impressed with was how firmly they wrapped up furniture. Heavily bundled in blankets wrapped in transferring tape, the furniture has been super-protected. There was simply no way it might be scratched or otherwise damaged. The wrap also averted the usually inescapable dents and scrapes on the walls of the property.

I hired JK to maneuver my home out of Montgomery County to Northern Frederick county. I downsized from a 4500 SF home into a 1600 SF home. Even after weeks of me de-cluttering, devoting and packaging, I still had a great deal of things to handle. JK showed up on time, with 6 men and two trucks. They managed it all!! Every member of this group was friendly and helpful – and that they had been having fun!!! Not once did I find some of these diverted by their telephone or social websites — they functioned!! No product was too small, no request too big. They handled everything quickly and economically. Fantastic packaging – nothing was broken, and they required extra care to safeguard everything. It was a really long day and they really came through for me! I am hoping never to go again, but when I do, I will employ JK Moving again!
