    Long-distance move from New York
    Shady Business Practice

I picked Highlawn Moving and Storage since the quote they gave was one of the cheapest and the agent, Josh C. sounded friendly and honest. Unfortunate my very first feelings changed radically on the afternoon of the transfer.

To start with, the expression”binding quote” means nothing for this corporation. When asked when I’d be charged extra if the project took more, Josh C. promised me that it wouldn’t. But at the close of the project, the employees tried to bill me for the excess time they install.

However, the worst aspect of my expertise with Highlawn was that the broken rock measure that lacked when among those employees knocked over a thick concrete planter on the ground. As opposed to inform me about it, I needed to figure out of my ex-landlord once I returned to collect my safety deposit. It could come at no surprise that the foreman on the project denied having broken the measure, asserting that the planter missed the measure and it”should have already been deciphered”. They further claimed that the measure broke when among those employees stepped on it after they fell the planter. Strange coincidence, is not it?

Well now that the measure was mended and that I filed that the receipt for damages, the maximum Josh C. is ready to pay is half of the repair price. Following a month out of the transfer, they’re no longer returning my calls, forcing me to file a court case. What a huge surprise!
Don’t chose this provider. It might look as if you are saving money, but in the long run, it might cost you a lot more.

    Long-distance move from New Jersey
    Smooth & to the Point

Moved from New Jersey to Georgia in May. I booked two weeks in advance to fasten my own distance. The men came into my home picked up the things, packed them with blankets, packed with anything loose with all the free boxes which were provided originally. My transfer was was average size without a exceptional packing requirements except to get the additional large mirror that they assisted me to pack professionally to prevent any damages. They were quite useful and they have been hardworking. They have been completed packing the truck in 4 hours leaving me with enough time to receive my house cleaned up before departing. The cost was approximately $70.00 greater than that which was quotation, just because I’d added a little item that I over looked originally when lending the product set for the cost quote.

My things were sent to me personally in Georgia two weeks after I came there, and this had been a day sooner than I’d anticipated. This was fine because I had been informed the day prior to arrival. That which was unpacked for me personally and put where I needed it, so that I did not have too much changing about to perform.

Anyhow, I had been happy with this movement, particularly since I did what through email. I’m not the telephone man and they were quite fast in responding to my every question and gave the permission I needed with no run around. I send over 12 mails back and forth, along with the private service offered me. My sales man Carla, was quite knowledgeable and also her writing revealed her professionalism into the occupation. I’m content with my choice and will urge Highlawn to Family & Friends.

    Long-distance move from New York
    Poor Service and unprofession staff

Josh (individual who anticipated the project at my flat ) profession at the time clarify and answer my query concerning the process.REMEMBER THEY WANT THE BUSINESS SO VERY KIND.
The day of the transfer the Three mover were
12 minutes late. The contract said that the items will be wrapped to avoid damages (leather seats, bookcase with glass entrance, etc). When the mover began to move they didn’t wrap seats or bookcase as mentioned. Together with the coverage saying .30 percent per pound for harm item. I said to the movers that I had been told that the items could be wrapped. Among the inspector said I understand my job and didn’t wrap the products. I named the firm re: difficulty, they talked to the foreman, that he came to me and say”what’s your PROBLEM, O you’re JUST PATRONOID. They then had been managing my items with a single hand. The employees were quite unprofession plus they smoked smoke from the truck along with my item whilst working. (I listed they smoking at the vehicle ) And laughing at me like it had been a joke. When the transfer to next place and end, I assessed my things before signal the contract for completion. I discovered boxspring wood foundation cracked in half and scratchs in my leather couch. Called Josh and clarify the finding, he said he with all replace the boxspring and also have his employee take a photo of it. This was 6/24/11( friday). I waited until Wednesday to get him to find out exactly what happened. Josh said he’ll call in a few days. 7/11/11 I haven’t heard from him because MY Call to him. I wouldn’t recommend this business to some one. And should you select this business,be careful of this hidden fee as soon as they get to the next site. They bill you for toes from truck to doorway of construction. Worst experience in proceeding.

    Long-distance move from New York
    Great Service

Moved From NY to FL. As guaranteed service was quite trustworthy. Our items were closely packaged and besides a single lamp which has been slightly bent that which was in design. We obtained our Things within the timeframe that was guaranteed. Cost was quite harmonious, not  the cheapest we got but surely a good deal lower then a few of the businesses around. The team was professional and friendly, I already recommended them for their co-worker and will surely suggest this men.

    Long-distance move from New York
    Overal ok, very sneaky

These folks certainly have the guys who understand how to perform a move. They came on time, they have been fast, very fast in actuality, and effective. They transferred all bits of furniture at a zippy. But, there were a couple things I didn’t like. To start with, they didn’t disclose that we’d need to cover the price of tolls. This was not a problem until we shifted are a system of payment out of money order to money. Hmmm all of a sudden, there have been additional fees. I call bs. The client rep”Susan” was quite friendly and nice over the telephone promising the firm doesn’t scam people. She kept repeating this. (very strange thing to convey to a potential customer.) I asked her to get the particular dollar amount where we’d be paying and she explained:”450 apartment, the only additional money you’d need is should you opt to tip our guys” that was agreed upon. We were planning to pay money order (they simply accept money order or money. No debit or credit cards, which again was bizarre but whatever) after the inspector packaged everything into the vehicle that he”All of a sudden” stated we had to cover his tolls. Mind you, he never said the resources before. Obviously, I named the company angry, ” he supposedly had to pay $20 in tolls that he had been asking me to cover him! And $20 to return! Another thing that I will say, the mover kept insisting to me personally if I’d money, it’d be better to invest in money. I told him no that I already bought the money order for the dollar amount. He said money is better, which makes me feel quite uneasy. Very unprofessional. Long story short, after calling the business and disputing the debate, the rep Susan requested the mover to show receipt of this 20 toll he’d paid. He couldn’t supply a receipt! Obviously!   Once I finished my conversation with Susan, the Agency turned to me and said”Fine, just give me 15 afterward” [EDIT]? Obviously, I won’t be with this company ever again and again when I needed to provide a proposal, it’d seem ancient. Start looking for a reputable moving company and also be happy to cover the money that they request. It’s far better than having to manage scammers. Less of a hassle.

STAY AWAY from HIGHLAWN MOVING & STORAGE in BK

Certainly the worst choice of my entire life to utilize Highlawn Moving & Storage in Brooklyn, NY. David/Josh the proprietor (same individual, but utilizes whichever title is the most suitable for him) can provide you a binding quote of less than half of what it actually costs. Next, following the vehicle is loaded and also in course, he will call you and need twice the initial BINDING quantity and maintain your possessions ransom till you pay.
His team is also included of all ex-cons and they will split in to your boxes. I had a pc and bag stolen.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. Do not take ny term for this, look up them on Rip Off Report along with the BBB. All unwanted. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, expect me.

    No complaints here!!

I had difficulty choosing a mover. Highlawn gave us a very good apartment cost and I could really say that it could not have been a far better move. My wife was quite happy also. What I find significant is to be certain that you receive an in house quote. We moved from some two bedroom townhouse with approximately 90 boxes and a great deal of delicate items such as glass, mirrors tables along with some big framed photos. Everything came back without a scratch. Except for our stainless steel trashcan obtaining a dent. The movers were professional and hard working.

    Smooth Move

After long and tiring search for a moving firm for my transfer out of Manhattan NY into Cleavland OH I chose to proceed with Highlawn Moving. The price certainly was not the cheapest but they did assured fast delivery in that was quite important giving my job scenario. The estimator who arrived to my house was quite straight forward with no gimmicks or earnings address and so I felt comfortable with them. On the transfer date four men showed up, my furniture has been well wrapped and well shielded what was itemized. . I had about 5 boxes within my quote and bunch of miscellaneous things but the price remained the same. (to my surprise) delivery has been completed on time like I was somewhat nervous but they arrived in 4 days as promised. I had been expecting to get a morning delivery however they arrived in the day which was more then adequate. My things came in excellent condition except for a single floor lamp which was somewhat bent but my husband fixed it. I’d certainly suggest Highlawn Moving and that I hope your move is going to be as easy as mine was.

    BEWARE of this company

It has been among the very worst adventures. BEWARE of the provider. All that they really do is lie and steal your cash. Delivered my things 2 weeks late and they intentionally ignored our calls when we attempted to followup. Movers would merely provide our products 75ft in the vehicle. Again, dreadful experience and don’t use this firm.

    Great Movers!

We’ve recently moved out of New York, NY into Davie, FL and because we have used Highlawn Moving 3 years ago for a local relocation in Manhattan and have been really happy, we chose to use them again for our Florida transfer. We’ve got a number of items that we were worried with notably our grandfather’s glass curio along with his thick framed paintings. The men that arrived pickup proved rather efficient wrap all of our furniture and as we watched them loading it in the truck we felt more at ease taking a look at the items well stacked. A week after another team showed up in Davie for its delivery and that which was delivered. In complete our move went really smooth and I’d wholeheartedly advocate this firm

Long-distance move from Rego Park, NY
    Stress Free! Great Staff!

Our 82 and 73 years old parents awarded 10 to their latest movement in Rego Park, NY to San Jose, CA. Being elders, they have been incredibly anxious with this procedure. They have not moved for over 30 decades and this is actually the very first time going from New York. However, Mark and his friendly team actually created this cross country move simple for them. A special thanks goes to the 3 young guys who managed the movement so attentively. They have been patient and cautious with the particulars of the job. Though it wasn’t a huge movement, everything came to San Jose inside the 4-5 day window as promised. This truly made them joyful. Subsequently, made our lives much simpler since both my brother and his loved ones live on the West Coast. We had a favorable experience with both the extended distance coordination along with also the transfer and just needed to talk about our family’s admiration for the excellent services obtained. The employees were sensitive to all our parents desires and also the movers worked tirelessly to make sure every phase of the movement was smooth. They really added a personal touch to create our parents feel unique and at ease in this whole procedure. This was very important to them and probably would be their final move. We’d surely use/refer them later on.

    Great Service!

Here is the next time our household had employed Highlawn Moving and now for the Brother. Transferring from Forest Hills, NY to Austin,TX. This is a two BR House so that he had lots of employees included a big glass dining table which we were concerned about. The movers were quite effective, taking excellent care of the furniture. The cost for this dimension transfer was quite affordable. Approximately 10 days after promised that they showed up and three men brought the things to the home and I must say, they chose their time and created this ruff job seem easy. No obligations! Exempt for a single box which has crashed everything left it securely. I’ll certainly use them again and I really do recommend them.

    Unprofessional and major delays.

Regaining my furniture and was a two week delay in transportation! Have yet to handle my own claims for damages because July 2016 and it is almost end of October now. Additionally upon delivery that they charged me extra expression that there were a lot of stairs once I obviously told them I am on the next floor!! Worth paying a little more and opting to have a better business who’s much more professional and more accountable.

    New owners same bs

New owners achieved. They said that they were fresh owners. They provided my”possibly $200″. So to see I’ve lost far more than 5,000 of worth in the event things. They pushed me to a settlement of $1000 without paid it. The deal is $200. I’d stay far away in that location. New owners look just like the previous owners.

    Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY
    I had a good experience

I moved out of Brooklyn into PA.. Hired this business to transfer us by a three bedroom house to a 4 bedroom home. They did a excellent job. They showed up 15 minutes before our scheduled time. They were all quick. We paid a flat rate, therefore that they had an incentive to become more lively I am sure. Nothing was destroyed, they have been cautious with our new residence (freshly painted walls, flooring, etc). All around, needed a goo encounter. Can use them another time if necessary.

    They did a great job

They did a fantastic job in assisting my mom go from Brooklyn to New York. They had been on time, they worked together with me and that they were easy to accomplish. I am in California, so that I was not there for the transfer but that I had no troubles in handling everything out of here. If my parents will need to proceed again, I would use them in a heartbeat!

Would hire them a second time.

Stress-free moving. They gave us a flat rate cost, pricing was fair. I am just one parent, I did not have anybody to assist me that clarifies why I called about for movers. They showed up on time, I did not feel like I had been cared for, they got the work done the exact same moment. Would hire them another time.

Josh and his team did a very thorough move

Josh and his group did a very comprehensive move in our previous home. I didn’t have anything transferred into a new residence, I am temporarily residing with parents. However, I’d have all my things moved into a storage device. They were fast, communicated well during the transfer. I intend on going in a couple of months when my house becomes completed, I am sure sick employ them once the time comes.

    I would recommend their service.

Moving makes me stressed, I am a wreck. It is always very stressful, but these men took the strain from the movement. We had big TV’s combined with a couple other really delicate products. During the procedure, they were rather careful seeing that they needed to move up stairs and people had no lift. I’d recommend their services.

Josh, Mark and the other two guys were wonderful.

Josh, Mark and the other two men were fantastic. They had been on time, really secure. In this covid wreck, they wore masks, so nothing has been scraped. We loved using all these movers. We’re quite pleased to use this shifting service.
