ALERT! BE AWARE!
Fantastic MOVING has tricked me out of $1,800 in false fees. I used them to move out of MD into MI. They picked up 3/23/20 in MD.. Date of shipping 4/28/20 into MI. When my stuff had been en route that they called to say the 53′ semi couldn’t access our house and we’d be asked to cover a shuttle charge of $1,800 (50 cent percent feet that they decreased from $2 per cubic foot… how nice of them). I HAD to cover or they would put down our stuff in storage and cost us $1 per cubic foot × 3,600 = $3,600. I agreed to cover, no additional option even when I gave alternative options such as bringing to some warehouse at same city for storage, which they refused. I needed to cover, and they just would take money or money purchase… shocker. The movers came, 2 hours after I consented to the shuttle (mind you that they were assumed to have been at a 53 foot truck that they needed to park someplace and sew 3,600 cubic feet of things into other bigger truck(s)… at precisely the exact same time they needed to really get these bigger trucks, too ). They arrive at two Business box trucks (26 footers?) , and as I hand them the cash I detect a MD license plate. As I figure out the coincidence of the I inquire where they parked the 53 foot semi to offload on these two smaller trucks. They stated there wasn’t any 53′ truck. I inquire where these came out, they state NJ. There Never was a 53′ truck which needed to be offloaded to smaller trucks to shuttle into my residence. And to boot, there were other folks’s products on Both of those smaller trucks… one destined for Chicago and one for Indiana. All four movers on website gave me their names and said they would talk the facts of what took place. My family was also present with this particular interaction. I’ve requested a refund, mentioning the above mentioned Truth, and Great Transferring has denied! I’ve registered with the Federal Motor Carriage Safety Administration who’s starting an investigation. I’ve registered with the Better Business Bureau who’s also agreed to inquire. The Great Moving firm has a couple of addresses in addition to telephone numbers, but their US DOT # is 2430969 and their MC #838059, site is https://greatmovingusa.com. In case you have been conned out of cash by those folks please hit out! They’ve violated laws… lies, fraud, scams, extortion, etc.. . Across State lines that makes it Federal in character!
I WILL SAY THAT YOU FAILED TO COMMUNICATE THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 800$ – PER THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTRACT – ADDITIONAL FEES. -“CUSTOMERS DESTINATION Cannot ACCOMMODATE A 53 TRACTOR TRAILER, THE CUSTOMER WILL BE CHARGED A SHUTTLE FEE IN THE AMOUNT OF 2$ PER CUBIC FOOT, WITH A MINIMUM CHARGE OF 600$. ALSO BEING CHARGED 75$ FOR Another FLOOR.
WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE THIS BROUGH TO MY ATTENTION UPFRONT BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY DISCUSSED SHE LIVED IN PHILADELPHIA, IN A ROW HOME, ON A ONE WAY STREET BUT GUESS YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THAT VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL.
I HAD TO QUICKLY Produce MONEY TO COVER AN UNEXPECTED CHARGE.
I AM NOT HAPPY in Any Way. I FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I FEEL THAT THIS INFORMATION WAS WITHHELD FROM ME EVEN AFTER WE DISCUSSED SHE LIVED ON A 1 WAY STREET. YOU STATED THEY WOULD PUT HER STUFF ON THE CURB and BRING THE TRUCK AROUND….NOT SURE WHY YOU WOULD SAY THAT AND YET YOU FAILED TO MENTION THE Additional CHARGES.
I Won’t RECOMMEND. I WILL HAVE EVERYONE I KNOW WRITE BAD REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY, AS THIS WAS A REAL LOW DOWN MOVE.
STAY AWAY – FAR AWAY!
This provider is a complete scam. They aren’t customer oriented whatsoever. They couldn’t supply a pickup window on registering for this contract and if they did it was a 4 hour window at the day. They had been two hours late with zero communicating and we could not get them through on the telephone. As soon as I reserved the ceremony and gave them my stock checklist I advised them about what which was glass and marble and might require wrap and Jerry Jones promised me it’d be contained in my quote. Furthermore, I informed him I had been worried about there being extra fees for receiving to the elevator or getting up the stairs at our house and he explained, provided that there isn’t a grand piano, so you won’t be billed anything but the borrowed sum. Low and behold, the pick-up individual is just two and a half an hour late and asserts we will need to provide him $3500 longer due to the space form the elevator into our flat and the glass which requires covering.
Their suggestion is straightforward. Hook you up with a rather low estimate. After load the things they twice the cost and if you don’t pay they will not ship. On shipping you detect items broken and missing. Majority of psychological strain and they do not have some simple human Values. It is very surprising we still have these sort of dreadful individuals in our society that benefit from alerting others and stealing/destroying other land.
All of us have to form a team and take lawful action. This business ought to closed its door.

Excellent Moving said cost was $1900 for the 600cuft. On the afternoon they stated I need to pay them $600 for shuttle, in which my flat can easily match 600 foot truck as well quite long and still they attempted to cheat one. They also came up with extra fees and stated mattress is big and a few shit they all discuss. They only wish to loot your earnings. Please do not fall for this and lose your cash. Get this cheaters from business. Quotation had all things mentioned and still they need to charge twice.
I said I wish to cancel and they took away my deposit of $400 and demanding more.
Where to Begin? I approved that the initial quotation for my transfer (North Carolina to Idaho) in 2400 kilometers and signed for this. The initial price was $1,600 that I expected for my space. The rep called me 5 days before my move to inform me he had calculated that the cost erroneously and that it is going to be another $150. Being so near my own move, I did not have the time to discover another mover and needed to consume it.
The day that the movers showed up, they appeared specialist and packed my things fairly well. Except they struck me with a surprise 600 fee since my drive was”too narrow” because of their 18 wheeler. My drive was an ordinary size in an ordinary neighborhood. Who shows up into a residential area within an 18 wheeler semi? How was that my difficulty? I wholeheartedly paid this charge and they took my things.
5 days later, I receive the call that they’ll be coming in 4-14 business days. Surely not the ETA I had been advised at pickup, but anything.
The afternoon my things came was when I dropped it with this corporation. My computer desk has been totally ruined, and they dropped 4 boxes of my items. The truck my material has been packed in seemed entirely ravaged and unorganized. The girl I talked with at customer support had no guilt and led me to complete the claim sheet so as to get any compensation.
The total because of my transfer was be approximately $2,400, initially bought at $1,600, plus they lost/broke my things in addition to it.
Select a DIFFERENT Firm. The testimonials on their site are imitation.
Great Moving supplied me with a binding estimate. On the day of pickup the movers were late. They showed up in a Penske rental truck rather than a moving van.My buddy fulfilled the movers. The movers were taught to contact me at case there were any additional fees past the additional $300 I’d paid up front. They didn’t contact me about extra charges.THE MOVERS’d my buddy sign the paperwork even though the firm had no written consent from me giving anybody rights to signal in my place.I was accessible by telephone, email and fax the whole afternoon of pick up.The movers didn’t contact me about registering for any paperwork. The business has now charged me to get a shuttle in the sum of $756 saying that they weren’t able to match a large moving truck to the storage facility in which my goods have been picked up from although there were many additional moving trucks pick up in the exact same place free of issues. The movers packaged a total of 6 boxes for which they’re charging me an additional $700 along with the fee for the shuttle that was not mandatory nor was this fee recorded as a part of the binding estimate. The movers did package a grandfather clock for that I had been billed and had agreed to pay $150 within the binding estimate. The equilibrium that I now owe on the binding estimate is $390. Fantastic MOVING is demanding $2500 longer before they’ll even send my household products (that I’ve already paid them to perform however they want more cash ). They’ve threatened that they’ll sell my home if I don’t pay this sum in nature holding my merchandise hostage. They also have told me verbally that I am going to need to pay a second $748.50 on delivery.I have tried phoning the moving firm in an effort to work things out to a positive end for all concerned. They have been rude and argumentative when I pointed out that the individual who signed the paperwork in pickup wasn’t approved by law to do so. The girl on the telephone told me”you believe you have all of the I’s dotted and your t’s crossed but I (meaning that the Good Moving client service representative) have the exclamation points!” . I moved on to inquire about her about submitting a claim. She said that I could not file a claim before my goods were sent. I told her I needed to ask mediation She explained I can not request mediation until I’ve filed a claim and that I can not file a claim before AFTER MY GOODS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED. I really don’t understand what the remedy for this mess will be in this time. I paid those people in good faith expecting them to do exactly what they consented to perform as summarized on the binding quote which I signed. In addition, I need to stress I was the sole person recorded on the binding estimate and the sole person that signed the binding quote. My products have been picked up on Saturday, January 25, 2020 and I haven’t seen them since. The moving company won’t reveal the place of my merchandise although I’ve needed this information both verbally and in writing through email. They did eventually give me the zip code of this place, but that was all they’d share. They’ve told me that if I will not cover the $2500 they need that they will cancel the contract and that I am going to need to select my merchandise up or they will sell all of it! Now how can I even pick up the items or arrange for someone to pick them up for me whenever they will not disclose the place of this goods? That makes it impossible for me to make any agreements at all and without advance notice permitting me time to work out things. This scenario has caused me to undue psychological distress that endangers my health and wellbeing. I am praying for a miracle since it’s clear that’s what it takes for me to ever see my property again.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. First offer was $1200 and we gave a written record of all our stuff. The packers arrived and stated our queen size bed was big and that they would cost $700 more. The sales rep said no cost for stairs however the driver asked for cash. They did the worst job packaging the furniture. We receive a telephone 1 week after that their truck can not enter our brand new neighborhood and that we were supposed to notify them about it. FYI all truck such as fedex etc readily enter the premises but they desired 500$ more for moving the stuff to some little truck and then to your own residence. The verbally cried and argued about it on the telephone. Eventually settled for $150 for this. Their driver arrives and says that he needs $250 for scaling stairs and that two steps in the parking to our main gate were additionally staircase therefore chargeable. Again plagued us a whole lot and was departing the things on the door till we gave him $250 money. Eventually did not give us one Box and called later to say he discovered it at the truck and people ought to push 1 hour out of our location to pick this up. We said we do not mind getting it later via ground transport. Called them yesterday and now they are saying that they drove the box and offering $30 for this. It had my wedding gown and sneakers along with other quite sentimental stuff. Just how am I to substitute this. I can not even start to mention how horrible these people are. Zero respect for you as well as them all, beginning from the sales rep to supervisors and then the motorists are thugs and will frighten you nonstop.
They originally offered a terrific rate, therefore I zelle them the deposit. Showed up to load up the vehicle and over doubled the first estimate and required a massive check before shooting the load, and so I paid them. They called again two days after demanding more cash so that their driver would not need to take as much money upon delivery, which that I mailed them a 3rd charge. Couple days later they call and say that they can not receive the”semi” in my subdivision and might need to move to a ship truck which could be an additional $1000. I said I would not pay that much and magically they dropped the price to $600. I said no and they stated they’d send to a storage device with accessibility, so that I discovered the perfect unit and let it so that they could deliver without any difficulties whenever they were prepared. 10 days go by without a communication then a telephone call at 7:30pm by some pushy driver stating that they can provide at 9:30pm. They did not know about the storage device delivery and once I explained the problem he said no difficulty that the load was not at a semi automatic and they might send right to the house. Reluctantly I agreed to this late night delivery and eagerly anticipated. 10 minutes after I receive a call back in the driver stating”the boss will not let us send without charging the additional $600″. I said no more and we agreed they’d send to the storage device at the afternoon at 9am. The following evening we meet in the device and they inform me that the”manager wanted us to amass a $500 overnight charge” but stated they wouldn’t request this, but mandatory that the 4th and last payment in money before unloading so that I cover them. They unload in the storage device and a few of the products were not mine so I needed to inform them two before they place them back to the truck. Not too sudden days after while unpacking I understand I am missing several bags that’d expensive power tools and electronic equipment inside them. Calling their workplace provided no dedication to locating the lost things or being substituted for your reduction.
Total Nightmare
I do not normally write reviews for anybody but was forced to do this here.
Avoid this organization. They hook you up with a minimal quote however in the long run, you are going to get a larger bill than anticipated.
Things to Search for:
1- 0 client support (Sat and Sun) no personnel available.
2-Will make you eliminate a day waiting for the movers, no calls, no shows. ( I waited for 8 hrs. To get a pickup scheduled earlier 12noon) Movers showed up at 5:15 pm.
3- When the pick-up space for Those things are 25-50ft off or longer they charge you 300
4-They will update the cover of almost any glass and bill you the substance blaming the insurance plan.
5-They will cost you $150 after 1st flight of stairs = 7steps.
6-You will wait over 30 times to receive your items delivered and all broke and awakened.
7- They’ll blame the insurance for replacements and won’t ever happen.
I wish I’d have known about this provider before making business together. A significant regret.
I really do hope that somehow it catches them up.
I expect I might have read reviews here. I truely agree with what other individuals are referring to GREAT MOVING.
Dont work together, they’re scammers. They didn’t send all of my things, they dropped my things and their quotes are a joke, so Actuals are far different from quotes.
I wish I can provide zero celebrity for this moving business. Please don’t work this business since they are scammers and loot all of your cash in any possible way. Don’t get fooled with their quotes, you’ll have surprises such as shuttle service, more space in the parking lot etc.. They name large selection of fees to rip off you on moving day and delivery afternoon. They’ll set you in a place that you will not have option and you have to go together. I won’t urge anyone to this corporation. Be mindful!
Great Moving essentially a boiler space for getting visitors to sign going contracts. When you register the contract, communicating goes to zero, and you’ll obtain no upgrades. Staff is rude as the sole task is to make you frustrated and move away.
1.) Moving business broke things, and once I asked them to get a claims form, they shipped me into a 3rd party who ostensibly represents them. The 3rd party ( Anthem Claims ) hadn’t heard of my moving firm.
2.) In accordance with FMSCA, you’re eligible for full value security unless it’s waived. I never doubted security and supplied documentation. After Arc Transport and Great Movers understood that I had been right, they ceased all communicating and refused to collaborate because they understood they had been on the hook for replacement.
There is multiple denials of national moving rights offered from the FMSCA, such as full value security waivers along with the best to supply a claim support. This organization is corrupt, dishonest, and must be shut down.
