    Long-distance move from California
Grand Moving of Encino, CA Left Furniture in Parking Lot

We contracted by Diamond Van Line of San Diego because of our transfer into San Antonio.   I had been advised the the furniture and possessions was milder than the original quote and that the Complete cost would be $4500 ($1200 over the original estimate).   After some whining, the cost was reduced to $4100 (nonetheless $800 over the first quote ), and I consented to this cost, so Long as they had no difficulty delivering our possessions to the San Antonio speech, which had been on the next floor.   I had been confident that it could be, as two flights of stairs had been included in the purchase price. It took over two weeks to the shipping to be produced, which is fine, since it had been hauled halfway across the Nation.   It Wasn’t given by Diamond Van Line, however, by a different firm (Grand Transferring of Encino, California), that was possessed by a buddy of Adam Dahan (whoever owns Diamond Van Line).   They came, walked upstairs with me to register on the shipping paperwork and get final paymentthat has been compensated in money.   After receiving payment, then we walked back downstairs and upon coming in the parking lot, and the driver advised me that it could be an extra $300 to send to the next floor.   I told him that I had been advised that there would be no additional fees for shipping, and also two flights of stairs had been contained in the final cost.   He explained that a”flight of stairs” had been 8 measures, and our location transcended that.   After doing a fast calculation, I pointed out that when that was the scenario, the extra fee will be $225, maybe not $300, but he adhered company to his $300 cost.  I obtained Adam (out of Diamond Van Line) about the telephone, who consented to waive the charges and send the furniture into the next floor.   I believed that to be okay.   The driver then advised me that they had been hiring two extra movers to aid with the movement, and so were waiting for them to arrive. Even the”movers” came, but they Weren’t professional movers.   They had been temp employees hired by Labour Ready, and so were ill-prepared for the task ahead.   The temp employees arrived after a Couple of hours.   During that time, the shipping employees unloaded the truck at the parking lot and then waited.   I took both temp employees upstairs to reveal what could be needed, and if we returned into the parking lot, the driver and his helpers had abandoned, leaving our furniture and possessions in the parking lot.   I phoned their mobile phone, but they wouldn’t reply. I ended up needing to cover the temp employees myself and build the furniture myself, and that the delivery drivers ought to have done.
