There I had been preparing to proceed and was going to select the least expensive business which I obtained an online quote from. Luckily, some high pressure strategies out of an opposing cheap company made me reeavaluate my first conclusion. I read up about the law. I spreadsheeted the apparent choices. I read the testimonials. I checked the BBB and how long every firm was in business (and if they simply renamed their company ). Finally, it came down between Graebel and United Van Lines. I had been becoming clever by this stage. I played dumb to determine whether they’d mention the legislation they had been needed to inform me about my rights and duties and theirs. . .both Graebel and United did this. Ironically, the Graebel quotation was much better. 2200 pounds for $1547. But here is the kicker: it had been the only firm who supplied me with a Not-to-Exceed quotation and provided compensation for any fat I did not use! When I wanted them to be there a day earlier than originally agreed. No Problem! The driver managed to schedule me in. Overall cost on delivery? $947.35. I could not have leased a U-haul and hauled somebody in to help me to get this cost.
One other fantastic thing I discovered during my study. Unlike other moving companies, Graebel is not franchised. Consequently, I had the understanding that when something went wrong, I’d a trip to stomp on and where ever that doorstep was, then it had been the most suitable one. Moving is dreadful and then once you learn about businesses which hold your things hostage, it’s downright scary. I would advise Graebel palms down. They were completely stellar to operate with.

This really is the worst company I’ve ever used and I proceed quite frequently and have used the majority of the businesses out there. I contacted Grable about November 5, 2010 to receive my move began. This was 6 months prior to my home products pick-up was scheduled on December 17th. I called them on the 16th of December and of course that they didn’t possess a driver, truck or whatever else lined up for my own pickup time period. They sent one of the regional trucks to receive my household products and return to their warehouse at which it’s set for 2 weeks. My delivery date has been put (in November. I would add) to be between December 29th and January 2nd. I was informed this evening that they still do not have my family products on a truck even though a rep out of Grable told me on Monday that they had been to be loaded and about the manner now the 29th. She then proceeded to give me exactly the exact same song and dance I have gotten each time that I called Grable asking about the status of my home products. “Your household products will be loaded tomorrow.” I’ve told them over and above that I needed to have my home products during the shipping dates place because I begin my new job which Monday and can’t take off time from work. Obviously they don’t believe that they need to give me a discount for being overdue. But they’re genuinely incompetent and incompetence costs! This is a dreadful incompetent company that you shouldn’t ever use for any reason ever.
I’d love to thank Lance and all the others that helped move us!! I wasn’t certain how this movement goes but they left it amazing. Lance took great pride with all our things and required really well care of all we had. He’s quite honest and a hard worker. Thank you again Lance. We’ll be utilizing Graebel and hopefully Lance once we proceed again.
Hello All,
I’d love to discuss my pitiful moving encounter using Graebel Movers.
I recently transferred from Virginia to Dallas and paid nearly $4400 with this kind of terrible experience.
I’ve moved in the last couple of time but that is my worst adventure of all. I hired Graebel Movers
Bcoz I read a few reviews about them and the man who gave us the exact quotation told me that we’ve got a branch in
Dallas so that you guys will not have some difficulties. .
The pickup was nice without any problems. The delivery sucked.
The shipping was expected on 13th May Friday. Driver known as about the way stating that he’ll probably be there by 11am.
Because I moved to Dallas and had a final of my home on 13th day, I asked the driver to wait for
Untill day so I can finish the final and choose the rescue.
The Driver was so rude and said he cannot wait untill 4pm. I was prepared to cover his wait time but he easy denied.
I then named the representative in Virginia whom I did all of the paperwork and clarified her the entire situation.
After making bunch of telephone she said that Driver could simply wait untill 2pm. .After They Will have to
Unload ur items at a storage and that I might need to cover unloading on storage, storage fees and then
Delivering and unloading to home again on the upcoming available date. .
These men were simply not prepared to recorded. Eventually I leased a 26 texture UHAUL truck, requested them to unload the
Things in UHAUL in the front of my brand new house.Nor simply they billed me to unload to UHAUL, additionally they unwrapped
All of the cushioned furniture because it belongs to this motorist. They eliminated All of the blankets in the furniture which
They wrapped in Virginia, broke several things that I discovered in the future. .
Insurance isn’t prepared to pay those fees because they float into the UHAUL. .
I recommend to everyone that Graebel movers would be the worst I have worked together. They weren’t
Friendly, not prepared to comprehend the situation and generated plenty of psychological pressure for me because I didn’t
Have somewhere to unload.
Pls perform your due deligence until you employ Graeble movers.
Thank you,
Don’t Use Grabel. They misquoted my quote by more than 50%. Completely dumb and a really horrible experience.
I almost never write reviews, however Graebel is only SO BAD and it is SO FRUSTRATING. Allow the rant begin.
To begin with, after they said they’d do our relocation in Pittsburgh to Minneapolis (a comparatively small individual without much furniture), they waited till it had been too late for all of us to find anybody else and then postponed and postponed on scheduling the true move outside. This was the evening before when they eventually informed us they were arriving the following morning. They were obviously waiting till it was lowest for them in relation to motorists with no concern for those schedules.
Now that they have our things, they will not give it all back. It is the specific same story. Fourteen days ago the date they stated they’d send it… as well as counting. I attempt to get in contact with them and when I will find a individual to respond, so they constantly assure me that they will understand the following moment. It is almost like a running joke involving the secretary and me personally which they’re potentially never likely to get around to it. They are waiting till they have some best sized dispatch to coincide with ours to spare themselves on cost. However,”delivery sometime over the next year once we feel as though it” wasn’t the ceremony we signed up for!!! Do they believe we do not have lives and jobs to address that we could wait around forever without any furniture or household things?!
And a last problem: They refuse to give me a quote of the price tag. Initially , they said that they could not provide me a few since it is dependent upon weight. Not even a BALLPARK amount. But today they have had our substance for 6 months and still no quantity. They might attempt to bill me only about whatever, and I would not put it beyond them because they’re clearly attempting to maximize their gains nevertheless they could at the cost of their clients.
Bottom line: Graebel should go from business.
This long-overdue inspection was motivated by a recent movement with a different organization.
Graebel transferred my spouse and I to Washington four decades back. And my single complaint about these is that they wouldn’t transfer us back into Minnesota a couple of months back since we lived in a place of the country they did not pick up against.
So instead we travelled by United, and this had been a nightmare.
GRAEBEL: Broke something, and also the motorist compensated for this out of pocket therefore a damage claim wouldn’t proceed on his album.
UNITED: Combining eight bits of luxury furniture, just two smaller things and a wall at our new residence, together with countless other things, refused causing a number of this harm, then advised us to complete a damage report (without apologizing or appearing to care at all ).
GRAEBEL: Inform us an specific pickup day along with a three-day shipping window, subsequently picked up over the day that they said that they would and sent to the first evening of the window that was Icelandic.
UNITED: gives us a five-day pickup window along with a weeklong shipping window (without a mention of the chance of our possessions sitting in storage for a week or two being loaded/unloaded multiple occasions ), subsequently delivered to the last day of the window following our belongings sat in storage for a week.
GRAEBEL: we often to be certain that the move was moving smoothly and provided us with contact information to our driver.
UNITED: Answered the telephone once we called, and at times even return to us with responses to our own questions the identical moment.
GRAEBEL: Place stuff at which we requested them to.
UNITED: Stacked boxes at the center of my living space so that I could sort them myself.
GRAEBEL: Next time I move, I will call them.
UNITED: I’m telling everybody I understand my United terror narrative.
We proceeded in upstate NY to Seattle in July to get work and my firm hired Graebel to us. We had a completely miserable experience together. They had been also a day late picking up it, and then couldn’t fit all of our possessions in 1 shipment, since they had yet another men move on the vehicle already. You will find just three movers and they invest over 9 hours at our 1 bedroom 700sqft flat and didn’t finish packing. It was on a Saturday and also the motorist said that a truck will be there Monday to complete. Monday morning comes and goes so I phone their office and they’d no concept which our dispatch hadn’t all gone. It took me 7 phone calls until I could find a manager at stake. She explained there was nothing that they can do along with the truck would not be there till Thursday. Our trip to Seattle was Wednesday morning and that I said that this was unacceptable. Hours of telephone calls after and with the support of my move representative (long story short) they have an additional truck there the following moment. They had been just one complete day late with the shipping (for a total of 11 times in transit). And after it got there pretty much every single bit of the furniture has been ruined, which I then needed to bicker and argue together to get payment.
Everybody I spoke to has been unprofessional and unapologetic about the strain of the movement. Overall it was a totally horrible experience and I wouldn’t ever advise them to anybody or ever hire them again. This is the most unhappy moving adventure of my entire life, DO NOT engage them!!!!
Limiting this into the many inconsiderate and unprofessional Elements of the move:
Graebel takes one to block out 3-8 days for shipping, throughout which time you’re expected to become around when they call – to me this meant no scheduling client visits, and that’s how I earn money. Graebel overlooked the agreed upon shipping window with a week and a half an hour dozen. The motorist who eventually delivered everything stated nobody wanted to produce the push out of TX to NC. Then they attempted to bill my business storage charges for the further time that they kept my load, stating I had denied delivery. THEY FLAT OUT FREAKING LIED!!!
They utilized a gratuitous quantity of paper when packaging my things. I certainly understand and love it when it has to do with glasswear and dishes, but they also packed a good coleman cooler with newspaper – nothing inside, just newspaper. And I understand the packers fee by the roster. A few my things were ruined and my iPod had been lost. I went through each and every piece of packaging paper (there was a lot of it). They stated that I should have thrown it out, and when I felt as though it maybe was pocketed rather than packed, I had to submit a police record. I can not prove that somebody shot it, so that is unworthy. I asked them how they guarantee that things do not get discharged, and that there just answer has been,”We medication evaluation and also perform criminal histories .” However, if your workers know that they could get out of it without any consequences, what is to prevent them?
Graebel deserves ZERO stars. Steer clear of this firm.
I really don’t need to enter a good deal, from additional inspection, seems it’s all about exactly the exact problems.
Transferring turned into a nightmare, took far more time to go out then I had been told and 3 times more to receive my things than I had been promised, so all of the other appts created for cleaners needed to be cancelled. Was also told I’d pay after the movement was complete. They lacked my account two days BEFORE the movement. READ THE FINE PRINT!
Over priced for the professional services rendered!!!
There’s not any comunication from inside, with this business!!
And the claims procedure, is not worth getting a stroke above, so I agreed to 75.00 following two months and following no communication in the”corporate asserts”, we’ll see when I get that large money or never.
The sole reason I’m actually obtaining this 75.00 is since the inspector TOOK MY dolly/handcart. . They aren’t paying a dime to get your furniture that is scraped, wharped timber which got moist etc.. .
Sell your furniture or pay anybody off the road before calling these men.
HORRIBLE. Better Business Burea next thing.
I used this company twice. First time great exp but next time dreadful. Drivers stole the material out of apt. They make the most of my mother and stole jewelry. Among the motorist requested to utilize bathroom and stole material in the cupboard which attached to bathroom and also stole another valuable thing from additional toilet. Beware of motorists. While I contact supervisor individual, he didn’t care much. He asked me, did you visit him? My mother bag was open and following bath instantly he went downstairs. That is where my mother determine the things stolen and if she inquired about it and advised to telephone cop they frightened and ran off without mending the furniture. They didn’t provide any papers to signal after proceed.
Mike villarreal was quite accurate and provided me the ideal rate for example the insurance policy coverage. He managed to provide me 1000$ less compared to another 3 large moving businesses. The motorist Falcon yolanda was prompt in picking up and bringing our household things in excellent condition. The movement was quite decent from TX into OR. I would advise graebel with no compliments for somebody who is on the lookout for the highest superior move with prices that are exceptionally fair.
I’ve contacted Graebel 5 times, 3 through their site and double through the telephone. I Want an Global transfer from Seattle to London. Nobody has ever even called me back! Clearly they do not require the company! Will go with a business who wants $20k!
When they eventually did me the honour of delivering my goods, they simply dumped everything and removed. ( Though my business paid for unpacking) Following a couple of unpacking independently, I’ve got a home full of boxes. I named the base of the barrel transport business to request them to eliminate the boxes, and they stated it’d maintain their own time. I was three months.
My buddy at Graebel wasn’t accessible, and now my move is known as”closed.” Utilize Purdential. Graebel is a complete FAIL! I hope never to use them again, even at no cost!
A company moved me in TN to Fl, it had been a contract deal and that I needed to maintain FL in 3 months. I signed apt rental in FL and moved home to pack. Since the company was paying all place costs they gave me a listing of inspector Graebel was that the one I chose. They showed up on time did a great job loading. It took me 3 times to reach Florida that they were suppose to send about the 4th day. I spent a week (7 days) in a vacant apartment awaiting my own stuff. I called and called and called. . They kept saying possibly tommarrow. I normally move myself and asked them why it took a long time. Graebel stated and I quote’its a mircle we moved you in a week’–a entire lie in contrast to that which they promised. The week of intending to unpack was squandered. 16 hours before I was to begin a new job with a brand new emploeyr I needed to go out and purchase a mattress and work clothing. All these will be the worse movers. And yes material has been broken. They cause as much anquish–that I won’t ever use them again. ABF transferred me in Minnesota to Tennessee in 4 times without a difficulty for under $1,000 – I’ll use ABF next moment. (I Don’t understand what this company paid Graebel for its transfer since it was free for me personally )
I had no issues using Graebel’s service. But they charged me an extra $700 to”clear customs”. They stated that this fee has been levied on them, but they never supplied me with a reciept or confirmation of the fee. Since they’d all of my possessions, I paid it. However they never supplied me with confirmation of the payment or at which the cash was about to.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. My daughter referred them to me,of course she utilized them 20 decades back and it could have been much better than however they stink today. I transferred from N.Y. into Georgia using a quotation of $2042.00. I had been told that when the burden was less than that which they put down I’d be given a refund. Well I did not assess the weight and had been advised by email from Jim Maldonado that the burden was 1720 pounds. Whenever the closing paid invoice came the weight was recorded as 1614 pounds. Of course never got any refund. I did my very own packaging and there were no dishes, utensils or some other appliances because I was going in my kid’s home. The guys that picked up the things told me I did a fantastic job on packaging. When my things arrived in Ga. each box was compressed and opened, and that I had been told that the packaging wasn’t good so they needed to start all boxes and repack. This was clearly an”Invasion of Privacy”, each photograph frame was broken and sadly I packed a couple of jars of change that was stolen out of me.The television rack just had 3 wheels, they dropped the other along with the guy who delivered only said”Oh we can not locate it” The fellows who left the delivery inquired if I had been considering a file cabinet which they had in the truck. Well, you can just imagine that they stole that from somebody else’s move. The girl who cared for my movement was Rae Ann Kelly, (Liar) in the return. As soon as I informed her about the file cabinet she said oh someone probably did not need it any more. What BULL that’s. My furniture was older but in adequate condition until they got hold of it. My armoire was all marked up on its side and also the nite stand drawers were broken, and they don’t shut right anymore. This is a dreadful experience for me and I have to say that looking into movers and receiving testimonials the sad thing is that the majority of these are alike. If you’re able to do it – I propose hiring a truck and moving yourself. I had very little to proceed so I must have done this myself but did not know of anybody using a truck. I had plenty of boxes (13) and plenty of broken glass. VERY BAD MOVERS
We started out nicely with the Native Denver individual surveying our possessions. We then got the phone from our Coordinator that had been a couple thousand kilometers apart. She came up with a few that has been tens of thousands higher than the sum my firm had allocated. I believed that there has been a squeeze going on – comprehend exactly what they can from my company and wring a little more from me. They used fear tactics and explanations that didn’t produce any logical sense. I advised them that they were not getting anything besides me so tell me exactly what I Want to do or what Has to Be left off the truck for me transferred 85 miles to get the $10k that my firm budgeted. I kept battling with them before I got a call in the local workplace. THEY appeared to really have a vested interest in maintaining the client (and my business ) joyful. They supplied me with boxes and instant answers to my queries. This Sort of service Can’t be underestimated through a stressful movement. The men who proceeded us were good also. Bottom line; the Regional people, those really doing the job, were Excellent. Go right ahead and rely on these and by-pass the delegated planner by calling the local office if you’re not getting everything you require.
Altered date of transfer from one day ahead. Don’t salesman did’t contain all items to be sent and needed to bring transport things to the home to pack. Mpver refused to package things and inspector nor earnings man knew how how to disassemble relaxation bed although we had been informed that they could. SeveralFour boxes have been left behind and I had to send by UPS, consequently I had been advised to ship in receipts for settlement more than 300. I had been refunded $123.00. . Many calls and mails send to charging depts and also to sales individual with no answer. Thus, two weeks after I received a 94 invoice saying that this is a more than the burden charge. What a unprofessional reply and crooket approach to conduct business. I’m a snoewberer and certainly won’t ever use this service again nor recommend them. Igive this van support that a F grade.
Don’t Use GRAEBEL. You might believe you have a contract and then they call you the week earlier and cancel with a justification which leaves one with a enormous issue. I bet they have a bigger movement than my 8,000 pounds. move. And thus, we got chucked.
We scheduled dispatch out of Ohio to Arizona having a December 20th or 21st pickup. We re-booked airline tickets etc., to ensure we’d be in the home to arrange the transfer. Once we signed the paperwork, we delivered in our charge card information, etc. we have an email in the transfer coordinator. Buried at the next para has been the next…”that the high degree of traffic throughout the vacation season has caused a little issue with the dates you’d discussed with (their estimator). Our central dispatch section is asking Your loading dates have been pushed back into the very first week of January, which, in turn, will also push the delivery dates back a week.”
A”Small issue”? A large issue! Telling me on December 13th once I have already sold my home and need to be outside is a killer. I cannot locate another inspector in this late afternoon. I might need to move indoors into storage before I could make the Ohio into Arizona transfer. Yes, I still have a contract therefore this isn’t over. Nobody from Graebel direction appears to even care.
Don’t Use GRAEBEL.
We’d Graebel pack our possessions except for around ten boxes which were already packaged. If we recieved our shipping the next day that our carpet steamer has been broken. Once they left & we proceeded to emphasise we discovered big boxes half filled with crumpled paper & couple of things Inside. Other boxes seemed like they simply dumped the jar & coated it with all the paper. Some boxes had crap like tape spools or even the wrapping paper bag within them. The evaluation we created was: that the moving business makes money on volume & weight (#of boxes marketed & dimensions ). They used more newspaper to wrap than desired both adding weight & needing bigger boxes and the additional garbage. Next move We’ll either package ourselves or get relatives & friends standing by every packer to minimize paper use etc., . |—–|-

My spouse and I hired Trillium to transfer our possessions from a storage device from Fredericton to our New House in Calgary. We picked them out of a large pool of large and Tiny movers who all had bad and good reviews. Complete our experience was bad, however from what I have heard since sharing adventures with many Men and Women who’ve hired many Unique movers, then it was a standard shifting encounter. Perhaps the Entire sector is now broken. Perhaps the prices are too low to have the ability to provide consistently superior support. We needed a number of damaged things, a missing lawnmower, and lots and a Lot of scuffs and nicks and scrapes. The damaged things were all packed with the movers, and later viewing the way the transfer goes I am not surprised that so many things got trashed in the Procedure. My estimated and real weights were very distinct (real was nearly double) but because the quote was performed with industry standards for the merchandise I was not amazed that there was a real difference. You cover what the load really weighs, so that there really isn’t much use in quotes, just the price/lb along with also the conditions of the transfer are all important when comparing movers. I asked a full-scale ticket to Reveal that the tare and load weights and warrant the Last statement, and also what I had been given was a notice on Trillium letterhead saying that the load has been weighed in their scale in Toronto and said the net weight. That was not likely to fly along with my business (who had been paying for my transfer ) so that I then requested (in Actuality, contended for) that a re-weigh in a public accredited scale. It is essential to remember that using people accredited scales is needed from the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario Regulation 643/05 (Section 18.1) along with another provincial Regs I looked at too. Of course normally there is absolutely no way to know what’s at the vehicle Once the weights have been shot, but that is another story… Anyway, I had been amazed to see that there was a Substantial gap between Trillium’s own scale along with the truck stop scale. Trillium’s fat has been considerably higher (>1200 pounds ). I was supplied a refund because of the difference in fat in Addition to that the re-scaling fee (the truck quit billed $200, which I payed for out of pocket) without depreciation, but also without an explanation. Two modest but not trivial Great Areas of the Entire experience: communicating was timely and professional, and shipping was just a little late. Additionally, I discovered a funny thing: that the movers (any movers) have little motivation Aside from online reviews to offer Decent support: if you are insured, then the Insurance Carrier will pay for damages; even in case you are not insured, then nobody pays for damages. The transferring company is solely responsible for about $ 0.60/pounds whether we are speaking a box of old paperbacks or even a large screen TV. The following time – as far as It’ll be hard – we will Find a UHaul and push our personal stuff Throughout the Nation.
Hello – I’m posting this since I have seen many bad reviews of Graebel, along with my experience was favorable. Graebel is a major company and can many many moves such as corporate movements. I hired Graebel for my private move in April 2014, also stressed I Wouldn’t get the Exact Same level of support. I was very Pleased. (Maybe only disgruntled clients post testimonials.) I think Graebel includes a headquarters/facility at Aurora, Colorado. The client sales rep, Mark Kitchens, given his mobile and email #s and even answered an email I sent on a Sunday afternoon. Additionally, I received communications from Kim Sanders, a client planner, and she was useful and simple to reach. Graebel transferred my things out of a large climate controlled storage facility in Colorado tp Palm Beach County Florida. I was given a quote based on my list of saved items and photographs I provided of this furniture. While Graebel’s contract includes a clause that permits the enterprise to bill your credit card around 110 percent of the estimated price (If the things really weigh greater than the quote ) that the last weight supplied to me was significantly less than the quote, and I had been billed less than the quote. In my storage center, the Graebel driver indicated (with numbered stickers) every Product and ready an inventory. When the things have been sent, the movers left certain than we checked off all those amounts. After all things were unloaded, there were approximately 8 amounts that we hadn’t checked off (from over 200 numbered boxes and items ). The motorist, Charlie, along with another two movers did a stroll and found all those”missing” things and we successfully assessed Each and Every number/item on the stock sheet. Back in Colorado, Charlie was aided by a single man. Back in Florida, two men met him in my house to help load off. They were all very pleasant and considerate. I’ve some heavy furniture along with the men pointed out that a nick in my walls that they did (no big deal) and put the furniture precisely where I needed it. Instead, they put the bed together. I supplied donuts and coffee, and steered them for their support. I Suggest Graebel. I paid just over 5K for the transfer. If You Want, you are able to Meet with the driver to check the weight of the truck before and after your items are loaded. I did not bother to do so.
Don’t utilize Graebel!!! I had a dreadful experience going from TN to NE. We’d have been overcharged about the first quote when I hadn’t found a error and brought it to their attention. We were also charged for services which weren’t supplied for example crating to our glass table top. The packers didn’t package our items well and several things were divided such as our 50 inch TV, a pit at the base of our sofa, broken vacuum, and the very top of the dining room table torn in the bottom of this desk, and also our marriage sand vase which has been smashed and can be irreplaceable. The packers should write their names on the boxes to get accountablity, but among thh packers wrote her name onto the tape so that when you tear off the tape, her advice is no longer about the box. She had been the person who packaged the vase. There was miscommunication between the packers and movers, and the vehicle got stuck on a mountain into our home and we had been delayed about one hour. The packers didn’t let them know about the mountain along with the alternative road that we advised them to utilize. A mailbox has been created for our television which clearly wasn’t adequate since the display on the television was shattered. The claims section was laborious and slow and I needed to follow on everything many times so as to move the process ahead. We had been compensated outside of the bare minimum for those things which were damaged and have been advised that sentimental worth of our marriage vase wouldn’t considered. WARNING: don’t expect anybody to package and move your valuables- especially Graebel! Lesson learned, however, I won’t ever utilize Graebel again!
Business delegated moving business. When it wasin a box it made it nice. Boxes labeled badly. Unlike things packaged in exactly the identical box. Furniture is yet another story. They broke or badly damaged every bit of furniture we possessed. They aren’t qualified or certified to maneuver a temper pedic mattress. They broke the
Ergo foundation and finish packaged the matress and now the layers are changed and dividing. Mind you that this is a 5000 mattress. Additionally, the man they sent to unpack and hook up my washer and dryer was a methed outside tweeker who did shotty function. My husband needed to rehook up both machines and amount them. I would never ever use this provider again. Save yourself the problem and proceed.
We’re missing two things which were packed with Graebel. We filed a insurance coverage and Graebel signaled they wouldn’t compensate us for a vase along with a little snow village. They led us into a Arbitration website that prices 300.00 to commence the criticism. We compensated 279.00 for insurance and they just paid us for damaged items. Other things which were adjoining to the lost things in NJ have been obtained by people. We think the products were damaged in transit along with the carton was started along with the products were lost. Spotted the motorist in Florida attempt to walk off with a busted bit of furniture molding. He gave it right back to us if we faced him. Graebel really charged us an Extra 38.00 in Motor Insurance Premiums since the load has been larger than the original quote
OK, very good news first. Graebel did buy a three bedroom house moved from TX to CO for under $8k. We packed ourselves and what we packaged made it undamaged.
Terrible information, we paid over $700 to get our 3 TVs moved and packed. One had a display scraped, one lost foundation for yet another, and the third has significant display harm. Graebel’s answer to the harm: so sorry but you have to cover the entire $700 although we dropped and ruined your gear. And if you do not cover, we will not accept any insurance claim. Side note, their insurance claim form says TVs frequently don’t work following a move so that you must prove Graebel was at fault before they’ll pay a claim. Yeah right. We had 3 completely operational TVs when we proceeded. We paid $700 additional to cover the TVs made it securely. They did not and Graebel’s answer was less than customer focused. I had much better service in the Colorado DMV.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! On May 15, 2015 My spouse and I entered into an agreement to buy a house. Graebel has been the relocation firm for the vendor. Below you may find my expertise using Graebel Van Lines, Inc.. That is a letter that I wrote to Bill Graebel, CEO of Graebel Van Lines, Inc. that summarizes my experience. Dear Mr. Graebel, I re-read your business’s mission statement and idea about how we had been treated and the added expenses brought on by your business during purchasing our new residence. I’m a battle wounded disabled Iraq War veteran. Since Graebel led to the delay of us taking ownership of our house, we misplaced the aid of move our household products into the home. We still haven’t completely moved into our house and the expense to hire a moving company has increase to $2,070 (4 people @ $230 each hour — 9 hour occupation ). This quotation is from Conroy Moving. I’ve attached some mails for your own reference. . I’d love to provide you with the chance to fix this incorrect and ask that you look for your business’s Mission Statement for advice. Please visit the below timeline of events for reference. • The Graebel contract has been implemented on May 15, 2015. The contract said that the agreed closing date was June 12, 2015 (Friday) with a possession date of June 16, 2015 (Tuesday). This agreement has been signed by (Name not disclosed) with Graebel. • On May 28, 2015 we had been requested by the Seller’s to expand the ownership date to June 19, 2015, which we agreed and changed all of our strategies (delivery of furniture, new washer and drier and friends coming up to assist with the transfer ). • From June 4th, Graebel found that Possession and Final weren’t happening on precisely the exact same afternoon and required that Closing & Possession occur on precisely the exact same day and all parties agreed to a final and possession date on June 19 and the Arrangement to Amend/Extend was signed on June 4th. • On June 16, 2015 (3 times prior to closing and ownership ) we received communication from our Real Estate Agent which Graebel required we extend the final and possession date to get another time, this opportunity on June 23, 2015. It had been said that Graebel confessed that they had neglected to program appropriately and because of shortages that they didn’t possess a moving van readily available to maneuver the Harbisons outside by June 19, 2015. • June 16, 2015, my broker asks to the dollar amount and break from what it’ll cost us to expand ownership to June 23, 2015 as motivated by the listing broker. I respond. (attached). • My communicating back to my representative was that our interest rate was just great for some time interval (I was uncertain at the time regarding if our lock on the interest rate expired) and that we had new furniture, brand new washer and drier being delivered in addition to household making up the goal of helping us to our new house on June 19, 2015 and above that weekend. • My Agent sends communicating into the Seller’s Agent talking the above and that I am a battle hurt disabled Iraq War veteran, my spouse is also regarded as disabled as a result of numerous back operations from a car crash several years back and this was placing us at a really tough position. • I received communicating back out of my Agent that a Graebel representative had contacted my creditor and got private information regarding my loan and if our lock died and even though Graebel was the trigger, that our”inconveniences” weren’t her problem. • Graebel Employee says that closure and ownership will take place on June 23, 2015 and that Graebel won’t signal the final paperwork on June 19, 2015 in accordance with the contract. • June 18 & 19, 2015, Graebel Employee nevertheless hasn’t supplied us with any records to amend/extend the contract and still states that Graebel won’t sign the final documents per the stipulations of this contract. • June 19, 2015, Graebel provides us a $600 charge at closing for our inconvenience/hardship although I revealed documentation which it was costing us $5,000. (attached). • Graebel also says that they will just shut on June 19, 2015 (per the stipulations of the executed contract) IF we sign a lease back arrangement with the Seller’s, relieving Graebel of needing to pay obligations under the contract, putting the burden in their customer. • By providing this charge, it had been too late to have the VA approve, essentially, Graebel was asking us to perpetrate loan fraud or place us in breach of contract as it might take 2-3 weeks to the VA to review and accept the charge. • June 19, 2015, I contact Graebel Corporate headquarters and then leave a number of messages for Bill Graebel and another individual. • June 19, 2015, Beth Pasiak, VP of Operations has involved. There’s a conference call between my broker, Beth and myself. My broker informs Beth that we will be showing up in final on the 19th with financing and that if they don’t shut they’ll be in default. • June 19, 2015, I provide a verbal remedy to Beth, because we’re losing our aid moving our furniture may Graebel (because you have your own moving firm ) send one of your trucks to transfer us to our new residence. Beth’s answer…”we do not do this”. • Graebel intends to shut June 19, 2015 but states that the moving van won’t be able to proceed the Seller’s outside before Monday, June 22, 2015 providing us ownership on June 23, 2015. • Graebel pays a”daily” lease of $300.00 daily which we don’t have ownership under the contract. The Seller’s (Husband) functions as a Resort Manager for Sheridan. Sheridan hired Graebel to relocate the Seller’s. Graebel threatened to not appear to closure unless we had a post-closing leasing agreement with the Seller’s, placing the financial burden on their customer rather than paying damages (such as Graebel’s error of not fixing the moving truck at time) under the contract. We declined and educated Graebel that they would be in breach of contract when they didn’t sign the final documents. Only then did they consent to sign the paperwork in closing. Not only did they handle their particular customer badly, costing them money and aggravation, but they also did it to people.
Proceed in Oct 2008 with Graebel’s at New Jersey. We packaged all things securely. Throughout move from an apartment at Dover NJ, the motorist put an orange stock label on each of boxes and bigger drop items. The fellows needed three big trucks to maneuver our products for their central website in Randolph NJ because of flat streets it wouldn’t have been possible to receive a moving trailer to the flat website. The truck driver linked the afternoon he was transferring stuff into their central website one day before the move to Indiana that he needed to store things on the pier since there wasn’t enough space for it at the construction. Upon coming in Indiana, most employees and especially the driver actually rushed difficult so that we didn’t actually get a opportunity to test delivered transferring labels against pickup stock. The motorist related that he had been just one day late coming because he had been”packaging” the van to acquire another move on his trailer. Because they were finishing gluing, we first noticed two shelves missing out of a book instance. He asked him if there had been a means to regain the shelves, and he made nasty and advised me to break free out of his tractor. Even now we’re yet recognizing items/boxes we’d packed for the transfer which are weren’t delivered. I didn’t anticipate this type of crook to transfer our household products that things were seemingly left or stolen in NJ so for him to receive a forth movement on his trailer. We did figure out how to recognize a small segment of things which were damaged or missing, but on account of the restricted time to accomplish this, we finally realized there were lots of things we now know weren’t contained in this balancing. After we transferred from 1992, the movement using Graebel couldn’t have already been smother. It was completely the reverse. The driver linked (while at from NJ) he lived in California. I’m ultimately pasting this to alarm anyone that might be contemplating a very long distance move to first check reviews before beginning a transfer.
My neighbor contracted with this company but after my experience with their team I would not call on them when they had been the sole movers out there. On move day, their driver decided it was a fantastic idea to block me (along with my loved ones ) in our drive. A concise petition allowing to move from the driveway quickly turned to the motorist hurling expletives at me. Tried to get in touch with the company to find out whether they’d have better chance at communication with their driver to no avail. So buyer beware!
Don’t Use Graebel movers in Charlotte, North Carolina. Beware of the next issues. My residential movement happened in July 2015 to move my home contents two miles off in precisely the exact same town. The driver in the pickup place was impolite and hauled down to the ground a tempurpedic base when requested if there was harm to wall that it had been leaning against. The truck has been undersized for its load, despite the fact that we had less things to maneuver than anticipated. The driver and team at shipping place contended with one another, crew took more than an hour to build a queen sized metal bed frame and among the team placed his sweaty head onto a wood headboard. They had been slow and billed 4 hours longer than anticipated. The quote was understated as well as the firm billed additional charge 5 weeks after move was finished. What’s more, the customer service representative doesn’t answer telephone messages or calls which need to be left because she doesn’t answer her cell phone. They will not call me to solve the invoice obtained 5 weeks late and the firm email can be unresponsive. Not a business that you wish to cope with!!!
We contracted Graebel Movers at Oct 2015. We had them transfer our belongings from our previous home and to storage for approx 5 weeks while our new home has been built. We had approx 200 furniture and boxes to be transferred. On move in day, everything appeared to be moving along good. All boxes and furniture were transferred and set in designated rooms based on tag on boxes. As my wife unpacked boxes one at a time, do to washing dishes and clothes in boxes after being saved for 5 weeks, we gradually got down to the ground. Boxes were stacked up 3 to 4 large in groups in various rooms. After we got to the base of boxes, we discovered scrapes on the NEW hardwood flooring. We began moving all boxes and discovered many scrapes. We discovered a wonderful gauge at the ground below a recliner chair. We contacted Loretta and she said”she’d begin a promise for us” she stated we’d thirty times for harms and 90 days for ruined goods. We received an Email from Carrie Bratz (carrie.bratz@graebelmoving.com) by Graebel at Wisconsin in relation to our own claim. We were attempting to acquire all sellers together to find this fix quote, She’d advised us that was OK so long as you tell me what was happening. We’d been in a position to ship in all quotations from venders on May 15, 2016 because of getting all to submit their estimates. We obtained this–(-Dear Mr. Casale,” we’d like to thank you for your time and cooperation during our claim evaluation. We’ve concluded our investigation of this claim filed and also have detailed our findings under: Graebel Vanlines Holdings, LLC. Has received your claim form to your transfer to SC. Our record indicates that your delivery date has been 4/1/16. We obtained your home claim form on 4/8/16. Notification of land damages must be within two days of occurrence.Based over the aforementioned, we repent we have to deny your claim. We hope you could know that under the situation we can’t accept liability for your claim. We definitely value your business and thank you for utilizing our solutions for your transfer and also for your patience through the inspection of your claim.) We had over 200 boxes plus they now were saying we’d 48 hours. We were advised we’d 30 times by Loretta. (Less)
WOW THEY HAVE A LOT OF ANGRY CUSTOMERS. . Check out Yelp too. They left huge holes in the walls that were dry, large black grease marks in my couch, slobs left a filthy mess behind. . Their empty pizza boxes and soda cans. My pricey WEDGE-WOOD China we are the only boxes”overlooking”. I am thankful I took my other valuables in the car with me. They were just two days late delivering. Rude and unresponsive constantly. I filed a claim with what they asked for such as statements and pictures plus they denied the claim stating that it was all in the fine print of their contract. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they had been slow to reply. The did not respond until after the expected date. They refuse to make it appropriate so they have an unresolved complaint on BBB FOR 3 decades and that doesn’t seem great for them. I hope folks do their research and also read each of the numerous negative reviews so that they do not get taken just like I did.
Don’t utilize Graebel. They dropped a few of my possessions (some which were valuable to me personally ) and neglected to apologize for doing this. They refused to provide any upgrades as the hint was allegedly continuing, so who knows when they really put any effort into discovering my items in any way. My advisers that there, Sarah Weller and Chandra Kressel, were equally exceptionally unhelpful and overburdened. Sarah never contacted me unless I reached out first, and then went to a leave of absence following my products were dropped without telling me or giving me anybody to contact within her stead. Don’t utilize Graebel should you like your possessions and need to get admired during your transfer.
Allow me to begin by stating that I’ve been involved with executing and organizing trade shows for several years so that I know the several things that may go wrong when getting expensive products sent without mind personal possessions. Having said that , I really did extensive homework exploring different van lines and checking out online testimonials. In the long run, it seemed to me which Graebel could be among those better movers. Unfortunately, I was incorrect. I’m a detail man and that I made certain that I named the business the day prior to the transfer to guarantee everything goes as they said. Virtually nothing went according to plan and their logistics has been abysmal despite repeated assurances during the afternoon of the movement which they would be there between 8:00 and 10:00 am, then 10 – 12 noon pm, afterward 12 pm – 2 pm. They eventually showed up with a team of six, however, nobody had one screwdriver to take our beds apart (a service that I paid for). I needed to unpack my loaded van to locate my private tools to advance them. The truck showed up an hour after, but it wasn’t the brief shuttle van which could match my narrow road, but a whole 50 footer. They finished up blocking visitors for 15 minutes and awakened my neighbor’s yard so as to back up the truck my drive. There have been other difficulties with the movement in the delivery end, however a brief complaint is much better than a lengthy one. I believe you have the idea.
DON’T Utilize GRAEBEL VAN LINES, HOUSTON!!!!!!
Do not be tricked by the beautiful woman, Leslie Brass, that they ship out to provide you an estimate and also for one to select them as your own movers. She was the very best in her job and regrettably, the only enjoyable part of our move. Our move has been on July 18th and now August 30, 2016, we’re still dealing with the consequences of using them as our Agency.
1. They showed up on transfer day using a truck which was already half complete with another movement, this induced the movers to have to scramble to get another truck which was likely to Dallas to come load the rest of the half of the furniture. Can I mention that it took 5 hours to do this??
2. Our move planner, Laura Garzon, was absolutely no help with this whole matter or for some of those problems that followed. Needed to make several telephone calls and emails so as to secure less than satisfactory answers from her.
3. Needed to phone corporate to get involved after 2nd team hadn’t shown up by 3pm, I had been getting no info from our”planner” and the team from the 1st load shattered the glass at our front door and desired me to wait for an extra day at a house with no furniture for them to submit a promise to have the window replaced.
4. Was contacted by the customer support manager, Krisdlyn Scott, since I needed to spend the night at a hotel because of the duration of time it required the 2nd truck to get there and package. She said that they would reimburse me for my hotel stay, what she didn’t mention was that the turnaround time for compensation, 15-20 business days.
5. Eventually got on the road bright and early the next morning to satisfy with the motorist for our 1st load just to need to call and discover out that he had been in the practice of leasing a smaller truck to deliver our items, on account of the narrowness of our local streets. A fact which has been brought to his attention that the day before.
6. Following the truck finally arrived and was unpacked, my husband pointed out that two boxes weren’t checked from the stock sheet. The motorist does a stroll through and says that the boxes have been situated in an upstairs space. I discovered two days afterwards, whilst unpacking, that the boxes were actually still missing. Fortunately, my husband got the motorist’s telephone number on the first day if there were difficulties. After putting several calls, we were advised that the boxes”which were upstairs” were indeed on his truck, that was currently in St. Louis and could be sent to us.
7. A number of mails and calls put to our”planner” (I use that word very loosely) attempting to get tracking numbers or any form of information on both boxes. These emails and calls were fulfilled with little to no reply or advice.
8. Fourteen days following the transfer, we eventually obtained tracking amounts simply to learn later that week which among those boxes was returned straight back into the St. Louis workplace because of damage caused by UPS. Relayed this advice to the”planner” whose sole answer was file a claim.
9. Filed a claims which was passed off to organizer Bonnie Spieth, whose sole communication was to get extra information that she desired (even after two phone calls and two emails) and also her closing email now stating that they had been denying my claims because we obtained the two boxes. Oh actually?? Since UPS clearly says on my laptop display (and their monitor once I put a telephone ) that the box has been sent to Recipient: Neiva, Location: Dock!!!! Do you believe I have a call back or email reply from Bonnie Spieth once I left messages saying these facts? You guessed it…NO!!!
10. And do not neglect the resort settlement that needed to be relegated to Krisdlyn Scott’s manager since I was getting no email or telephone answers (see a pattern) when asking why 15-20 business days has now turned into 30 days without settlement. Eventually got an email from her on August 29, 2016 saying that they don’t have a response as to why I haven’t been reimbursed and they have been sending me a gift card! Um, okay.
11. Called the Graeble St. Louis workplace myself and found out that my box was really still there. We wait to find out when I will get the box and what state the box will probably be in, because the very first box we obtained was partially crushed along with the contents seemed like it had been sat out in a sand storm.
I am certain that there are different problems that I made out and believing that we haven’t completely closed out our transfer (still awaiting resort reimbursement…I suggest present card along with also the 2nd box”which was at the upstairs space”), I am not convinced that there will not be additional difficulties. That having been said, I am trusting the advice above can help you opt to use somebody else unless you enjoy being lied to, ignored and given the run around.
They sent out a great person to perform the quote, and as others have stated, the men and women who live in the workplace were very pleasant and called to validate a few times prior to the transfer. On Friday afternoon , they showed up with a single youthful, able-bodied man, and also two older men who I am certain they picked up off a street corner somewhere. They were filthy and smelled like stale alcohol, also seemed to have no moving encounter. One of these could hardly lift anything. They kept asking me if I’d something which I did not wish to proceed, and when they might have it. They ate from our property, and among them spilled a beverage.
I needed to place our stuff in storage for a few months, and then they sent them into our new location, I discovered a bit of furniture was lost after about 3 months (We were not really residing in the new location, and every thing was piled anywhere, so we did not observe that the item was lost ). When I called the office, they stated that they would see whether it had been at the warehouse and they’d ask different customers when they had it, but that it had been too late to generate a claim, and then we never found that the item again.
Simply speaking, I felt as though that they talked a fantastic game, but did not offer experienced movers, also were not careful with outside possessions.
Don’t Use GRAEBEL VAN LINES! BELIEVE all the bad reviews! We had been made to work with them two beneath a company relocation application, and the two times we had major harm. GRAEBLE subjects one to your litany of red tape, such as vacant claims, and outright lies. They play let us make a bargain on every thing forcing you to demonstrate the worth (such as utilizing 3rd party valuations), then should they opt to take any obligation (like they did not if you hired them), they give a pittance of their worth! GRAEBEL maintained our merchandise RANSOM for the previous month storage by charging us $650 for a single month, PLUS $650 of $ WORTHLESS insurance to get a 1 MONTH TOTAL of $1300 and REFUSED DELIVERY when we did not pay upfront!!! We have been fighting this battle as May 1; 2016; and now is December 13; 2016 and watch no settlement in sight!!! CONSUMERS BEWARE OF GRAEBLE VAN LINES! Happy to offer proof if necessary!
Terrible customer support. Was fussed at for not having the ability to accept delivery once I wasn’t given the guaranteed 24 hours notice. I drove 4-5 hours a morning to take delivery-get a telephone after I’m there that it’s impossible for them to provide that day nor the second! I had no where to stay without furniture to sleep on! If they eventually delivered my things-living space TV wouldn’t operate. Worked fine right until they packaged it. Is just two years old. They refused claim for damages saying they wouldn’t accept responsibility. I urge you to look elsewhere. This really is actually the worst moving business experience I’ve had (had great experience with the other )! They’re reluctant to take liability, and they aren’t customer friendly. Everything is the fault and they don’t care 1 piece to inconvenience you.
Don’t use this organization. They put up a delivery date and did not show. This was verified via email and telephone. Don’t conduct business with this organization.
Absolutely worst moving business from the USA. My furniture has been delayed by more than 3 months. I needed to spend Christmas and New Years at a resort Due to Graebel. I spent over $4,000 on the resort. I moved all the way into the Vice President of Graebel to receive my possessions delivered. Everybody at Graebel made empty promises and failed to deliver on these promises. Following three months of waiting, as it was eventually sent, some of the furniture has been ruined. I didn’t get an apology or even a settlement. Should you hire Graebel, then be ready to await months or weeks to your possessions simply to receive them back in bits.
Being battling them for more than five weeks. They grossly overestimated my movement and are asserting computer issues because they cannot repay me. Do you imagine what they’d do to me when I mentioned I had computer issues and couldn’t cover them? Everybody I speak to lies with me regarding the refund. They required payment up front, and then could not actually get my furniture to me when I transferred. I transferred October 31 and needed to wait till November 11 to receive my furniture. These people just lie in their teeth. Please don’t utilize them. I’m sending a certified letter into business now requiring my overpayment of $1,295 back, and penalties and interest. My lawyer is about it.
Graebel Van Lines transferred me July 11, 2016. There was damage to my house and let me approx. $600.00 and being 1000 pounds underweight. I’ve emailed 30+ occasions, known as 40+occasions, sent certified return receipt petition with copies of each email into your CEO Greg Cutlip. 29 pages! No reply. Are shuffled from 1 individual to another without a outcome. I’ve not ever dealt with dishonest people or business because this one. Don’t conduct business with Graeber. They lie, steal and cheat. A number of my possessions were stolen. I’m contacting the television channels, dept. Of transport, national motor carrier safety management, along with movingscam.com. Don’t utilize this company-Graeber is not false!
I moved from Wisconsin to Florida from 2016 with Graebel. This is the strangest move of my lifetime and I have made most. They’re incompetant, liers, and unethical. Do not expect the company to move you. I would not rely on them to maneuver a kitty litter box since they’d undoubtedly screw this up.
Felt rushed and forced to sign contract – needed to read completely first. Wasn’t told final payment needed to be money or postal money order at shipping. Called Long Distance movers however really got Patriot Moving Group. Also wasn’t advised that the pickup in 1 state could be another carrier all around the State Moving and Storage and that the delivery in a different state could be yet a third carrier Graebel Mover Company. So basically I coped with four distinct businesses! In the shipping that the movers had an extremely tough time locating my furniture. It wasn’t completely separated from different wholesalers like it had been likely to be. Even originally unloaded somebody else’s night stand. Relieved it is finished.
Graebel was great in getting me that my move package deposited through ACH in a timely fashion, but surely no assistance in whatever else. They offered me $4,500 to proceed in LA to Austin and I’ve a 525sqft studio! A total of 5 major pieces of furniture, 3 of which may be broken down! Absolutely disgusted with the absence of support once they promise to”be in your side.” I discovered a moving company that will help me outside for under half the cost. Never even fielding a different call from the business again. Disgusting. You will get a higher prospect of succeeding doing things your self.
