I propose Gouffon to other people and will continue to do so.   In reality I’ve just asked them, and received, a quote for a cross-state transfer which, hopefully, will occur within a month or 2.

I really don’t usuallly  post testimonials, however with this I sensed strongly. I had 4 men and 2 big trucks, moved out of my home into: a storage device, condominium, and eventually my new home. It turned out to be a very long afternoon, but the men did an OUTSTANDING JOB!! Really cautious with all my furniture and also did a lot hard work when making the day enjoyable! (as entertaining as it might be!) They were quite respectful, attentive, and personable. I would recommend this business to anybody! Moving is not fun, but they left it as enjoyable as you can!  Thank you for a Excellent job men!

Gouffon did a great job packaging and moving my company – they had lots of folks available to load and then package and it took just 3 hours to finish the task!  We were quite impressed and could utilize and advocate Gouffon from today on! The movers showed up on time and maintained all of our stuff tidy, clean and without any harm.  We proceeded furniture, product, office equipment, and client equipment.

Both movers did a fantastic job of transferring exceptionally heavy furniture pieces. They were capable, timely, and cordial.

We just moved last week from an apartment into a home. The moving began late as a result of truck issues. (Appears to be a persistent issue for these ) Transferring staff at my flat had nothing to do, even after they prepped their furniture. While I’d conveyed that we had a storage center to be transferred along with the new house had a steep mountain nobody conveyed to the group. I were confident someone would appraise moving website, never occurred until afternoon of movement. The failure to convey precise information to transferring team postponed move significantly since it took approximately two weeks to sort out everything and assess uphill drive. This delay changed our deadline in finishing our movement. I would suggest this business despite being a what pricey and being falsified by bad coordination between sales staff and movers. Regardless of everything staff was specialist at the face of challenges introduced and tried to satisfy our requirements. Otherwise for flaws and basic confusion could have gotten a higher score.

I seldom write reviews but felt pressured to do so.  I waited over a week to write this review so emotions wouldn’t prejudice my remarks.  The fantastic news.  Pick up and delivery was nice.  They had been running late and but predicted and we had no issue with that whatsoever.  Provided that we have unloaded daily, that was nice.  Additionally and this was BIG, I really got a”real warranty” cost in writing before I signed up a deal which isn’t something you can normally get from moving companies.  This has been the decision point for me personally and I really do thank them for this assurance.  Working with the folks in the workplace (Blake, Chris, and Connie) was a fantastic experience also.  Be cautious of Chris since he can talk anyone into doing anything.  Very wonderful guy but a smooth talker into a fault which has to have been a red flag.  We had many bits slightly broken but nothing which couldn’t be mended or nothing that influenced the operation.  Items such as a sofa table, day bed, washer and drier.  When the truck came and the door was opened and I saw how it had been packaged, I understood it was going to be along day.   They promised they’d take a look at the ruined furniture and also make notes about the harm but when they had been completely unloaded, they left so fast they didn’t follow through on this promise.  That stated and to tell the truth, I didn’t challenge them on this point since I felt that the price harms were minimal and we’d not be paid anyway.  Wood furniture wasn’t completely covered and it seemed like that they used a crow bar to push items in a pit to create the item fit.  After unloading, they place quite heavy boxes on top of mild boxes although”Fragile” was submitted quite clearly on these kind boxes.  Some products were ruined due to this but nothing that I woul think about a keepsake type thing.  I wouldn’t use them again but to be honest, I wouldn’t use a moving business again.  Most moving firms business model makes a number of their behavior questionable because they hold most of the cards and they understand that.  In speaking with other people in my new neighborhood, with Gouffon I still made simpler than everybody else in their motions and therefore, Gouffon still has my thanks.  Just be firm and get all promises in writing and you ought to be OK with Gouffon.  Last, the team of two were both very pleasant and personable.  It was a really hot day and granted that, they were easy to manage from start to end of this unload.

After leaving me waiting for one hour! Subsequently after 5-10 mins I came back I’d left the doorway on the storage opened for them & gave them the essential code to get in over the telephone. As soon as I came both drivers were rather serious nearly mad looking. Neither approached me at a professional way both were sullen & silent. They started loading my things. It was a 10×10 feet storage than was fairly filled of bagged & boxed items and also a queen mattress & mattress, a couch quite light weight, a seat & ottaman. 2- 27in television’s & a dresser & mirror, a little vanity & two pub stools, & two wooden seats. Inside the 1st 40 mins of proceeding I heard a massive crash & among those movers said,”oh your mirror had been already broken.” Within 10 mins I discovered a second crack, my dressing table mirror was on the floor and they had been both looking at it. The driver responded,”it was already broken.” Both movers barely spoke & if tey did it was quite embarrassing. As I saw them I discovered that they were going as slowly as you possibly can. I thought, how strange. They almost seemed to be miserable & sad. Then it dawned on me that they were being paid by the hour so they were moving as slow as possible. They ended loading the storage on the truck at 12:57 pm. The driver then said,”okay so next were carrying your items to your home right?” I said no that movement was scheduled using a halt on the road back into my own Maryville office to receive my office things. The driver looked puzzled as he starred in the job sequence. I looked down at it & watched my workplace address on the newspaper that I pointed into & said,”it is right here.” The driver then stated,”We must stop at your workplace also?” Like I had been inconveniencing him by asking him to perform what I had been paying him to do! My things took up possibly 1/4 of this truck. Then they told me that they were planning to stop to get a”30 minute lunch & meet me in Maryville.” My daughter & I waited until 1:58pm & known as the movers since they hadn’t shown up yet. They answered and said they’d be there in a couple of mins. They predicted about 7-8 mins after to inquire how to locate my workplace since they were missing. I inquired whether they had a GPS since my office was at the center of down town Maryville and difficult to overlook. He called back again to say he still could not locate me. 10 more mins had lapsed. When they eventually came they came to my workplace & the driver remarked,”we will need to have all of this?” My office things were in boxes & containers. The single smaller drop items my daughter & I shot & place in my automobile like my not so compact massage desk, reflex seat, & as numerous different things as possible since we believed we had been bothering them. It required two”experienced & knowledgeable movers” from two to 2 1/2 hours to load my really modest office things which were all on a single level (no stairs) When they were completed the truck was possibly 1/2 complete but things weren’t piled to the surface so maybe not quite half. Which included my office & storage. This by the way was a 17ft truck. In approx. 430pm they ended & I was worried at how gradually they had been going and just how far they were charging since it seemed intentional they had been yanking they are toes to endure hours. I called they are super”Darrin” & told him exactly what had happened & that they had broken a number of my own mirrors. The most critical thing that they struck was a bit of a head rock (granite) about 2 feet long which was out of my best friends sisters mind rock she died unexpectedly at past 28.

It had been irreplaceable. They acted as though it was like this when they came! I advised their superb & requested that after 5 hours that I believe we ought to have been completed. The super said he’d call them & ask that they be more careful & speed up things a little. At 7pm the movers were done and then attracted me an invoice for 619.00! That I couldn’t think! No mention of those things they broke! No I am sorry! No kindness, no curtousey what so ever! NONE! One stood back while another handed me the invoice. I stated how do people usually pay thier invoice? The driver said I will take your credit card number, write it down, and I will have a check, or even money. I said well I’m not comfortable writing my credit card number down. He explained we always do it like that. I said do you understand that your not permitted by law to compose peoples credit card number down & swap it with whomever across the way?

Additionally, I won’t write a test to swap hands with numerous individuals with my account # on my test. Then he called his manager Chris. Chris immediately started telling me that I had to provide these guys my charge card & not attempt and negotiate with him because they anticipate to & WILL get paid! I stated I will be delighted to meet somebody in the workplace or come in the next morning to spend money on the move as I felt that the cost was unfair considering that the period of the transfer and also the broken things but would cover that I was not trying to never pay that was not actually inquestion. That I wouldn’t give 2 complete strangers my credit card! I tols him I’d hope the way that they handeled my transfer much less my charge card #! Chris became more & more demanding telling me

I was GOING to cover these guys. Their firm was a excellent reputable company & that I had to provide them the card. I again insisted back in the boss it did not matter how far he raised his voice or talked over me or how rude he had been I didn’t feel comfortable giving them my credit card! He them said nobody was at the office but he’d fulfill me if I would come to the office he would personally run my card. Upon arrival that the parking lot was full of automobiles I counted that there were 6 cars at the parking lot where workers park. I came into the window and also the drivers came in right behind me. They seemed very upset & one motorist slammed a few doors to assure I understood he was mad. A young man arrived at the counter & requested can I help you? I told him I’d spoken to Chris & wanted to create a payment. He said only a minute someone can help you. A girl appeared in the front counter/window & requested can I assist you? I clarified she then appeared to already know I was coming, she said I could run this payment.

She took my card that wasa credit card in my bank & conducted the card for 619.99 it had been diminished since I have a limitation. She then went for Chris. Chris arrived at the counter & stated okay Melissa we do not need you to be dissatisfied, what do I do to make this experience a better one for youpersonally? I stated my things are broken it took them 7 hours to maneuver me! You’re disrespectful & impolite! He explained what do you believe could be fair? Before I could speak he said, How about 400. or 500? Can your card do 500.00? How bout this let us take action for 450.00 hows that? Can you believe 450.00 is reasonable? I stated I really do think 450.00 is a lot more honest than 600.00! Then they ran my card & charged me 450.00.

I write this review understanding nothing could alter my expertise but at the hopes I could completely express how I had been treated & how it felt. It was dreadful. The last time I moved I did it alone with my children & hurt my spine. I was hoping not to have to do anything but nevertheless had also. I had been expecting to be anxiety free. Not with this corporation. They treated me horribly! The movers were AWFUL!! The manager Chris acted as tho I had been hoping to screw them over! After what I was thru customer support was severely missing! I’m a small business owner & will NEVER treat my clients this way! Or I would be out of business! Just something to consider when considering hiring movers! Proceed with movers which have far superior customer support foundation.

We had an extremely bad experience with Gouffon. Together with the first phone conversation that they supplied a quote of $2,700. They stated upon inspection it might increase up to $500 or so. The issues began with their onsite inspection of our residence and storage. They’d”applications” issues and didn’t return to us. They sent somebody else outside inspection our house 2(! ) ) Days before the move. They called the following day and stated it’d be $4,300. We weren’t happy and after a few telephone conversations they reduced it to $4,000. We said had a lot more things than we mentioned which was the main reason behind the significant increase. We told them you’ve got us over a barrel. What exactly are we likely to do two days until our move. They said the movement was so big it would require three trucks along with 6 guys. On the afternoon of the movement they showed up using two trucks and 5 guys. The guys were quite good in loading. They finally traded a complete truck for a vacant one after”they discovered another motorist”. In the conclusion of the afternoon, the next truck was just half complete. Unloading another day was a tragedy we’re still paying for. They shipped just 4 guys that could float. 1 employee could just push. Late in the day, they delivered two more employees. It had started to rain and lots of our things got moist. Regardless of the boxes/items being indicated with all the chambers to enter, several boxes/items were placed in wrong places. The loft and our storage places weren’t used correctly and they stated”we had been running from space”. Personally, I restocked among our storage places and made more space for them. The loft space was roughly half used. We heard their manager came on site that afternoon, however he didn’t have the courtesy to talk to us. I can see why, we just spent $4000 together. Overall a very bad experience. Their movers are extremely good in loading but appeared to be in too big a rush to get completed to perform a great job unloading. Pricing procedure was just like being placed in handcuffs. I wouldn’t ever use them again.

Paid $2500 to maneuver us”6″ milesper hour Five men showed up and packed us up in almost no time. We advised them first thing needed to be out by 2:00 to your new buyer to perform a stroll. Told them we’d final at 3:00 at the house we had been promoting and 4:30 on the house we were buying. All money transaction so final was to be carried out fast. In 5:00 they shot off with all our possessions! I’d 75k in jewellery and they took EVERYTHING I possessed to an unknown destination! We spoke them into at least getting our freezer (complete into the surface ) off and they did. We showed up as the previous truck us departing and begged and paid $400 additional to”two” men to help”US” unload the”1″ truck. The took the cash and the previous truck arrived the next morning to unload. There are”NO” words for the total amount of harm!!!! All our fittings for our beds, mirrors, and bakers stand have been gone!!! Disappeared!!!! I’ve antiques which are not even fit for the garbage now!! Sleeping on the ground for five times because not one of our beds could be constructed! We’re submitting a claim or enormous litigation!! My enormous classic bed is constructed with built-in cranks and they TOOK all of them! We’ll probably have to purchase a new mattress. Nobody can build or discover the hardware to fix. Since we raised a lot of hell over them leaving with our possessions that is exactly what they did!! At no time were we advised if we weren’t back in our home in 5:00 would they depart and take our things! We showed up at 5:12 and gone!! DO NOT employ these individuals to wash your commodes! In addition, we have lost bottles of alcohol! We can not even appreciate our new house that required us”10″ weeks to construct. Our stuff is missing and shattered. I wish this website allowed images!!!!

Have employed Gouffon Moving several occasions within the previous 6 decades. Only used them again a couple of weeks back and it quite demanding. The quote and pricing has been high pressure and uneasy. The movers dashed throughout the transfer and were attempting to complete as fast as possible. Not in a fantastic way. Furniture was nicked, glass walls and broken and doorway jams have lots of gouges and missing paint. Business never known about broken glass doorway. I predicted several days back and I put me on hold and said somebody would phone me backagain. Obviously, no phone backagain. This firm was a great mover some time back, but they endured a substantial customer support collapse this moment. The support level, communicating, employees quality all have degraded. I’d have been improved with two Guys and a Trailer.

I don’t suggest Gouffon Movers in any way. I’ve been involved with them twice now and they’re extremely reckless with pianos. I’m the proprietor of a piano company and I am a seasoned piano inspector myself using 20 years expertise, and a piano re-builder with 30 years experience restoring pianos. The previous experience that induced me to write this review has been quite upsetting.  I had been hired by a different neighborhood technician/friend to get a piano out of Gouffon’s warehouse, in which he had the piano saved. It was apparent that they were upset that they had been”cheated” out of producing the piano themselves. They needed us to put up an appointment to pick up the piano. The appointment was for a particular period the following day. When we came that they made us wait 40 minutes, leaving us alone in their tiny waiting room. When they eventually took us into the piano that the lid was lying on the ground beside the piano. Every single professional piano dealer that understands what he’s doing never eliminates the lid, and yet there it was on the floor. I found that the lid had been broken and asked them”How did this happen?” They responded that it had been similar to that when they obtained it. Additionally, I noticed a brand new footprint onto the lid. When I delivered the piano into my buddy and told him that the lid was broken that he was livid. Now this is the part that bothered me. They advised my buddy that I broke the lid. Notice that they told me it had been like that if they obtained it. These aren’t piano movers, so they still have the wrong gear, and no appropriate experience which I saw. I Don’t recommend them.
