They had no difficulty moving heavy things up and down these stairs and did not bump into the walls regardless of how narrow the stairs is. On 6/02/2020 We recieved a telephone call from Gateway state moving LLC after up with moving quote. Brandon Smith says that he had men in the region and that we’d find a fantastic deal on a transfer. (which is seemingly a frequent lie that they tell everybody ) He lent us a price 2,024.39 for its whole transfer from Mobile, Alabama to Colorado Spring Colorado saying that a deposit required to be forced to book and that 50 percent of the cost would have to be paid at pickup and the rest would be paid after our furniture has been dropped off. They had been movers through gateway state and would manage our possessions with care. We supported this with Brandon multiple occasions and he concurred that everything goes smoothly and as intended. We paid the deposit that was $742.11 paid on 06/05/2020. Brandon continued to follow up with us within the next few days because of our scheduled movement on 06/12/2020. We talked multiple occasions both including and removing items on our list to assist adapt cost. He continued to guarantee that it would be 50 percent at pickup and staying at fall off. I calculated my capital so since I still had to receive my household of 5 to Colorado. Everything sounded excellent up till the day of the transfer. Either you are gont cover the cash or never!!!” I advised them I would when they honored the 50 percent he laughed and cried”Forget it she is too problematic, we are not going her” and they left. They weren’t able to satisfy their obligation and that which had been agreed upon. Hours later after attempting multiple amount for gateway I got ahold of customer service at which she said she’d send somebody else the following day and reassured us AGAIN we’d only pay 50% since she had been getting a company who’d honor it. They never called us back to affirm that the new movers or a time.They following day that the movers showed up without telling and just called after he was still there. I told the motorist weSomeone in route. He explained he did not wish to wait since he’d already been there for a two hour. After some came in the home (that was approximately 30 minutes he’d already left! My neighbor pulled her doorway camera that revealed he’d just really been there around 30 mins and abandoned. After calling entrance again they stopped answering the telephone. We predicted multiples occasions daily, left voicemails, even sent emails requesting a refund due to them not being able honor what they said and we still haven’t heard from them since. In Addition, the contract is no more observable in our email they fully removed it and that I can just now view my receipt in the deposit that I paid Contract 3787880

All they do is lie and also prey to ppl who do not understand any better. We ended up having to return from Colorado package the house on a budget truck since it was all we could manage at the point and push 19 hours straight back to Colorado.

They had me go all my furniture out, where they bill to come upstairs!!! My furniture was out for hours, so they never called me to support a certain time!! Due to this story….they could not perform the work!! Furniture still outdoors!! HORRIBLE!!!!

I simply did a transfer in Iowa to TX. I’d no concept that Gateway was a broker, not a mover. They whined from the beginning. A guy Richard offered me about the move stating that they are a veteran sole firm which vets would be supplying my moving solutions. I had been scheduled for July 21-22 pickup with directly through shipping in 2-3 days. I had been called on July 21 and advised I could not be picked up till 24-25. On 24th, the individual (subcontracted company)maintained that they had a flat tire which would require all weekend to fix. The proprietor Tom called me on July 27 and guaranteed great service using another driver for pickup on July 29-30. From 30th I finally heard from a dispatcher which they’d be there on 31, however they’d utilize cubic feet not burden and my stuff could be saved in a warehouse for up to 21 business days. This wasn’t acceptable. I phoned and Lori who replies telephone contended that weight and cubic feet would be the same. I won’t bother filing a claim since I understand I was shot, but I’ll be calling BBB. This unethical company acts as a broker, not a mover. They could sometimes envision people with reliable movers, but my entire experience was dreadful.

Then he’ll make it look as though they are family owned and perform all of the transferring themselves..also a lie as they’re only a broker. Then he’ll let you go together since they can get you the things in only a few days that’s also a lie… LIES LIES LIES and then they will not answer your requirements. Lately I transferred from Robertsdale Al, to Panama City,Fl. A brief transfer of over 200 miles. Nothing moved right with my movement. On the 27th, noon strikes, and no one is here and that I have not gotten any calls. I predict the drivers’ shipment and no response. I call customer service and they tell me that the movers are here later 6pm. 7pm comes around and still no one, and now it’s after hours so no one answers their cell phone. Friday the 28th comes about, and at 7am I receive a call stating the drivers will probably be there in 8. 9am comes around and that I call asking where they are and they inform me they’re 10 miles outside. A hour later they still aren’t here. I phone again and again I hear they’re 10 miles outside. They do not arrive till noon. As soon as they came, they had an older version of my stock list, and we were all nervous that our stuff wouldn’t fit in the vehicle. They ended up putting it all in, and advised me that they will do their very best to receive my stuff to get there on the 3rd, 5 days afterwards. The 3rd comes and from 3pm I’d heard nothing, so I phoned and the only advice they have for me personally is that they don’t know when it’ll arrive, but it will not be now. On the 5th I phone me (first time that I did not need to get them to determine what was occurring ) and inform me that my things will not arrive before the 8th, my very first day of work that I surely can not take off. I wouldn’t suggest these movers to anyone. I know that delays happen, but each step of the procedure was greatly delayed, and each time I’m left waiting without a telephone call or email to give me a heads up. Signed new contract under duress in 2:00 am!! Complained to Gateway for a week however they eventually said they could not do anything. Wish I’d chosen another firm.

Don’t use this organization. It’s a scam and will rip you off big time. As soon as you give them your deposit, then there’s absolutely no prospect of ever getting it backagain. They’ll end up charging you over 50 percent of this quote they initially gave you. They quote reduced to get your company then charge far more in the time of pickup. When there’s a dispute, then they won’t take your calls and they not call you back. They pretty much have a license to steal.

I’d give this business negative stars if I could. To start with I reserved this business three months before my transfer and a week after I attempted to cancel. They wouldn’t refund me some of my 800 deposit despite being months away in the transfer and this costing them nothing, and they gave me the exact run-around about a refund for per month. I remained with them since I didn’t have a decision. Their truck that’s really United Transferring who they agent for, kept pushing the dates of my transfer before the previous day that I had been in my flat per the rental arrangement. Now I needed to choose everything they gave me. They attracted an unweighed Uhaul, tried to get me to signal a change of quote with no new quote given, and maintained that my transfer was enormous. I’d no appliances, no seat, no desk, only a queen mattress set, a few boxes (much less than I’d initially told them to get the quote ) and a few bookshelves. Ryan told me that they had overestimated my transfer so that there could not be any overage charges (he included 26 boxes), I just subtracted from the projected movement in the square footage and burden. I wasn’t over in fat, also since this isn’t my first cross country movement I measured everything just in case. I called Gateway the moment that the movers denied to weigh or assess the load for me….no answer. I phoned them to follow up. . .no response. When the movers retained pushing out the shipping date to almost my very first day of employment in my new job I called Gateway. . .no response. When the movers finally came and claimed that my load had been an additional 700 by weight (plus they had inadvertently forgotten to inform me that despite me phoning them daily ), and I discovered that they hadn’t actually weighed the load and also that their driver had made adjustments to the receipt that no longer matched my original reception, I called Gateway….no answer. I’m a student finishing up a PhD so I could diagnose and cure Veterans in the VA to get Alzheimer’s disease. The kicker is that they told me today that I am responsible, and need to cover, for all of the estimated burden was, in general, rather than from the pound and burden of exactly what my items really weighed.
