As soon as I ordered this movement with the planner in NY – that, incidentally, was lively and a joy to work together – I informed her there were a few big and/or strangely shaped things I did not find out how to package correctly. After giving her a comprehensive collection of these things, we concurred that the movers could visit to them about the afternoon of the transfer. Everything appeared to go flawlessly, and that I could not have been more happy. Until my possessions arrived in Chicago, and I discovered that the sole thing of furniture I had transferred – a 3-drawer wood file cabinet, that had survived several 20 years without as much as a scrape – was ruined, as were two cast iron kettlebells along with 3 additional products. I can not even start to imagine the type of abuse and force it required to violate the outer coating of their kettlebells! It boggles the brain. After all was said and done, my promise was computed by fat, not worth, and that I was informed I would get $120 for over $500 in compensation. This in Spite of the Fact that EVERYTHING THAT WAS DAMAGED HAD BEEN PACKED BY FLATRATE’S MOVERS! When a business doesn’t hold itself liable for its own employees’ neglect, my proposal would be LOOK ELSEWHERE. My main mistake in this entire experience – besides hiring Flatrate, naturally – was leaning the movers BEFORE I had unpacked. Had I do so, I would have at least saved the price of replacing the things they ruined. Live and learn.
I proceeded with Flat Rate and took Insurance out plus they broke two things among which is a classic and a family heirloom. They movers were sort, but the firm has determined that they’ll supply an insulting volume. It appears that taking insurance together is a scam and just adds to their earnings. I’ve asked for a charm that I am certain that they will return with a different insulting quantity. When I called they said you ought to have read the coverage. I asked the representative if the insurance has been theirs or an external and he promised me it’s Chubb. So it’s my fault in expecting them. I’ve heard and cannot reccommend then on some other foundation. I’m just happy they didn’t violate any things of actual value or I’d really have a problem
Flatrate Moving ought to be known as Flatrate Destruction. After Flatrate delivered our products they’d ruined all four legs onto a precious coffee table,’d broken up the plexiglass covering of quite a large expensive bit of art, gouged the frames of the mattress in several areas and had broken apart valuables. We had covered that the shipment for about $28,308. We filed a claim for about $ 5,139, an extremely fair statement of the reduction. Flatrate delivered us a check for about $827.32. Flatrate reported that because the true value of the dispatch was higher compared to $28,308 policy, they had been paying just 18 percent of their claim. We regret that we didn’t see all of the bad reviews prior to agreeing with Flatrate.
Awful experience! Don’t employ this organization!
The title shouldn’t be FlatRate, they attract new charges and fees during the entire procedure after you paid the agreed amount. They’re incompetent, terrible workers, exceptionally dismissive and unprepared. And naturally, we had a significant portion of our possessions broken.
Seriously, avoid them!!
We recently moved to NYC from CT and chose to utilize Flat Rate. They literally ruined every bit of furniture. They struck our dining room table, king sized headboard, coffee table, hutch, night tables and both dressers. Their policy is to make restitution depending on the burden of that which was ruined. We were paid approximately 300 bucks for tens of thousands of dollars in damage. Don’t use this organization. Employ some men hanging out in the neighborhood [EDIT]. I’ve moved numerous occasions in the previous ten decades and have not ever had anything like this.
Avoid at any cost.
A notebook and PlayStation 4 were stolen from boxes marked”electronics” and”matches”. I handed the notebook (in carrying case) into the packaging mover, he put it in a box, then sealed it with clear tape and composed”electronics” on the tape.
As soon as I got the boxes, a different sort of cassette was covering the first (and the term”electronics”). Once I opened the box, then the charger and laptop were lost from the circumstance. Same deal with all the”matches” box — I started it and the PlayStation 4, controls and games were overlooking. Everything else that has been in the box before was there.
A grand piano was also seriously damaged, in addition to a floor-standing speaker along with other various products. Estimated amount of damages and loss is about $7,000.
A police report has been filed for its theft.
Employed Flatrate to proceed from NJ to FL to a household recommendation. The evening prior to our movement we upgraded the stock list and the quote jumped by nearly twice. Since they didn’t send someone into the home such as other businesses, the speed wasn’t guaranteed in the event the amount of boxes climbed as we got nearer to our relocation date. They also sent a truck which was too little for the transfer outside and we ended up leaving packaging or items our private cars using the things which didn’t fit in the vehicle. Our very last mattress has been wrapped in plastic and put between the vehicle and the elevator gate out in the rain as there wasn’t any longer space. Stored together and they sent to Florida to a month after. Things came off the vehicle tightly wrapped on items without a maintenance obtained for boxes marked brittle, glass, or even the burden of things. Crew couldn’t quit searching for the harm and state of our possessions as well as boxes. Happily we didn’t take much furniture with us. They dropped my kid’s bike, ripped off the wheels a heavy duty tool chest, smashed delicate boxes, along with the move-in team deeply scraped 10 new flooring planks we just installed a week before. They dragged a desk and treadmill round gouging the flooring throughout the wear coating. We filed a claim over two days with photographs and a complete explanation. Claims section explained I might use my floors contractor, however that no claim could be accepted until their very own contractor confirmed the harm. We needed to wait yet another week to get their own furniture restoration business to come back and check the flooring harm along with the contractor spent five minutes in our house, said and looked that the would attempt to get up as much as you can vs substitute. Never even asked the brand of this flooring. Claim had been settled to get 50 cents on the dollar as they just covered us for.60/pounds based on lost and damaged items. So my kid’s $400 bicycle was coated at 0.60/pounds. The floor quote in their own contractor was supposed to touch up and fulfill out the scratches as opposed to replace the planks as required so their quote was half of the true price. Per their schooling, I shook my promise and also called their builder to get a copy of the quote. Contractor wouldn’t supply a copy and verified that they wouldn’t be replacing flooring boards and weren’t a flooring firm. Just furniture restoration. After several tries to describe and allure that to Flatrate Advisors, my appeal was refused and I had been told to anticipate the first settlement test. The price of Flatrate vs Mayflower and Allied was over a couple of hundred bucks at the close of the afternoon and really cost me more after the harm and claims procedure. We proceed every 5 decades and this was undoubtedly the worst move ever. Do not attempt to spare on the front since you might end up paying more once they provide. Will be posting pictures also. They’ve since deleted all of the client posts in their own [EDIT] page till they had been singing praises. I can not even imagine if we’d transferred more precious products. The crews going in and outside were all hard-working and fine men and women. Accidents occur and they were quite apologetic. They anticipated their house office will look after things. Sad to say, but anticipate 50 pennies on the dollar in the best.
Don’t use this company for long distance moves. I moved from NYC to Chicago at June 2017 and was billed $1500 for its movement (30 boxes and 4 major pieces of furniture – wood seat, bed, dresser and nightstand). The 3 of the four parts of furniture (that were the only items packaged with FlatRate) came completely ruined. I registered a claim like I guessed it was a disgruntled employee. After several emails and telephone calls, I had been given $250 to my”problems”. I needed to obtain a new mattress, dresser and chair. When I knew they were going to be so careless with my things, I’d have sold them in NYC rather than paid them to maneuver the huge products! There are a whole lot of better firms out there which may be a tiny bit more costly but will care for your stuff in regard.
The movers that transferred us to NJ in NYC, threw off the Christmas China I were awarded because I was a kid and tried to convince me to invest extra money – stating that the truck had been filled greater than that which had been assessed even though the inspector forgot to package a space in my flat – prior to my products had been delivered. A lot of items missing out of my flat. Flat Rate refused to compensate me for the worth of their missing things. Stay far away from Flat Rate.
We moved from Manhattan to Queens and Flatrate’s representative proposed we utilize their”ELITE” support because we had any precious items to proceed, outcome? … they ruined artwork and completely cracked the lid of my 1896 Beckstein Grand Piano in HALF, two decades later we are still in court trying to make them pay what’s expected. The term”sheisters” springs to mind! Did I mention we also took out insurance? The supplied us $1500 (and informed us we ought to cover the initial $500) for almost $6000 worth of damage!
I wish I could give this business a zero star review. We picked them to get a last minute go from San Francisco to NYC, compensated for by my husband’s business. Our items are still in storage, so I can not even examine them in regard to shipping timeliness and damage.
What I could say is that the movement out procedure was dreadful. Booking was simple and fast, and we picked the white glove service for a complete movement and package, together with insurance. For the price we paid ($10k+ for a 4BR), I expected them to deal with our items with caution and be professionals. Rather, from our four movers, three spoke no English and one spoke broken English but enough to get by. A couple of the movers appeared to be underage. Again, not a massive deal when the move was performed nicely and they knew directions.
We’d fairly straightforward move out directions — package everything except a single stall clearly marked”DO NOT MOVE” plus a box, which we requested to be packaged with a couple of specific items to have the airplane.
There were several problems: that the movers forgot to package things throughout the home, such as a complete drawer in a cupboard, many things on the wall, a vacuum cleaner in a cupboard, etc..
They packaged our DO NOT MOVE drawer, which comprised jewellery I’d removed not to destroy while moving, drugs, and toiletries.
The box which we requested them to pack to have the plane was packed with an range of things from three distinct rooms. Not one of these were the things we asked in the box.
To make matters worse, we predicted the organization’s LA office to complain a few days and the problem still has not been solved. Our move has been 5 months ago today, and I am frankly not certain if I am ever likely to see our things again, or at what state. We paid over $10k for your transfer, and that I regret every cent of it.
My wife and I moved from New York to San Francisco and utilized Flatrate Moving to transport All our possessions.
Upon shipping, we found that our objects suffered extensive damage because of gross neglect in packaging (see pictures for sub-par packaging of kitchen products, etc) and tackling. Most importantly, the display of the 60′ Samsung was ruined because of pressure being placed right on the LCD display itself through packaging or transfer. Our shoes and assorted similar posts were left exposed and crammed into cupboard drawers throughout transportation. We’re conscious that nothing ought to be left in drawers throughout transportation. The business widely violated this policy that led to damages. Armchairs worth roughly $1,200 were sent bumped into several pieces. Kitchen appliances and dining ware were thrown without security into boxes. Obviously, glasses, cups [EDIT] were also shattered.
Be aware that we did buy additional and complete coverage protection for scenarios such as these. But, Flatrate Moving has neglected to shipping in this respect too.
We informed Flatrate Moving. They scheduled a consultation with exemptions to get a couple of weeks after. 1 day prior to our review was to happen, the appraiser called to cancel. This was yet another experience from the unprofessional and unreliable service given by Flatrate Moving. Our evaluation was postponed a couple of weeks. It’s now two weeks after our movement and Flatrate Moving has still not reimbursed us. As a result, they’ve offered to settle for approximately one-quarter the price of our whole claim. How did they arrive in this insufficient volume? Flatrate Moving implied we could substitute a 60′ Samsung High Def TV for $399.99 for instance. In addition they suggested we substitute the $1,200 armchairs for $127. At no time in my entire life (even on Black Friday) have I found that a bargain even near those suggested replacement worth.
Various additional examples of Flatrate Transferring’s unprofessionalism and total sketchy business practice are under. I’ve email confirmation of dates and correspondences.
1. Claims Department promised to tackle claims by conclusion of certain week. They really dealt with it a month after. It has happened twice already.
2. I called 3 times to talk to upper direction — just one [NAME EDIT] I think. 3 times I had been guaranteed a return telephone number. I still have never been called. Upper management provides no transparency.
3. I called Flatrate Transferring’s legal department double to request mediation files (they must give mediation ). I emailed this section 3 times too. I still have not heard back from them. They have so far refused to supply any advice regarding such mediation.
4. The salesperson we coped with — [NAME EDIT] — has since vanished and has given to settlement.
Don’t employ this provider. I hired them to maneuver my daughter out of LA into Tennessee and a near-new pricey Sleep number bed was picked up in LA but not sent to Tennessee. After she asked the men they shrugged their shoulders and stated they did not possess her bed. We filed a claim with the organization and it took me 6 months to receive a response from them. They provided us $300 to get a mattress that cost $2,504. What a rip off. Plus they did not care. It had been clear that among the workers stole the mattress since it was obviously worth cash. I’m looking for legal actions against those people because I do not believe that they need to eliminate this. If you would like to understand your stuff in the opposite end of your transfer do not hire FlatRate Movers.
They stole, smashed and lost around $10,000 worth of private items
[EDIT]
It is completely outrageous!
If you cherish your possessions DO NOT HIRE FLATRATE!
Besides that they charged over $1000 fraudulently into the card on file with NO AUTHORIZATION.
The client support at non-existing entirely!
I cannot stress how awful this experience was and there’s been zero communication – in case you’re lost or have broken things they will simply ignore you.
Save THE AGONY AND STEER CLEAR!
Horrible, horrible, horrible!
These individuals stole my things. I’m still in the process of going from New York to Baltimore. I had been picked up 11/15/2011 plus it is 1/2/2012 and these folks still haven’t delivered my things. The’d 200 miles to visit and informed me it’d be next day shipping. What a crock. I might have carried my things in my back faster, however they LOST everything. I filed a claim with their insurance and they informed me I would just get 60 cents a pound. My movement was 1400 lbs, therefore $1200.00 for all of my things? What a crock. I am totally screwed.
Used them to get our Most Recent move from London UK into Huston TX. Everything seems smooth and fine until we’ve obtained our boxes at Houston back in February 2018. But now, 5 weeks later we’re still attempting to determine what happened with a number of those things. Flat Rate non-existent customer support only did not even attempt to supply responses. We weren’t expecting or looking any compensation but only a sheer excuse why and what has occurred. Many of missing things have just sentimental worth for us. We’re moving forward and back every 3-4 decades and that is the very first time that we’ve so unhappy experience.
I’d reserved a transfer using FlatRate for final Monday the 17th, however, that I had to reschedule because of a reversal of plans. The business policy states I can reschedule my movement around 48 hours earlier, and so I contacted my agent Bethany on Thursday the 13th to reschedule my movement and she replied me stating that she contacted direction regarding the recent change. I believed everything was settled before yesterday that the truck came – I spoke to cargo plus they stated there wasn’t a confusion also that they would reschedule the movement for me personally. However, I keep receiving emails stating that my items are in storage (they are not) and that I had been billed for a moving which did not happen. I emailed and called Bethany, the other representative named Nicholas, and client service a few times without any answers from anyone.
The one thing left to do is contact my attorney and attempt to receive my cash back. Beware of the business
I’d previously heard great reviews for instate moves employing flat rate. But, I used them to get a cross-country move and the experience has been dreadful. I had one stolen thing (42″ TV) and damaged things. When moving through customer support to have this things reimbursed, they accepted the promise, but not sent me my test. Horrible customer support and lack of professionalism.
I’d used FlatRate previously with great results. . .but I guess that is because nothing broke. This last movement, they broke a 3000 dining table. I filed a claim as educated, waited 21 business days (the kind states it requires between 14 and 21) without a word. I contacted them and was told that they had been waiting for something in surgeries. Later that afternoon I received a brand new email requesting me to publish the promise. I talked to somebody, very fine, who stated I did not need to resubmit the claim and could listen back the following day. It is now 26 company days and still no response. Will update as we go together, at the meantime, I’d suggest looking at other shifting choices.
Called them one month in advance of transfer. They offered me a top up front cost, but guaranteed no longer openings. I have screwed. The movers showed up late and missed my scheduled period at the elevator although this is actually the time that the workman advised me to program. It cost me an additional $400 to rebook for later in the afternoon. Then they remained beyond the buildings 6pm curfew for transfers, along with also the blg property supervisor threatened to discontinue my transfer till I agreed to pay an additional $100 late charge. Despite all the additional time, the movers nevertheless managed to hurt my furniture. They place a hole through my leather couch and shattered my desk. Do not rely on them if you really care for your own stuff. I have had much better experiences with just two guys and a truck to get local movements and vanlines for extended distance.
This is the worst experience ever. Every contact with business representatives were leery. The transfer ended up costing $2,600 greater than the initial quote. We contacted the sales man to switch the stock record and we had been advised not to worry because we now had a guaranteed cost quoted.
The movers were overdue away from the guarantted pickup date. WHen we predicted agents we had been guaranteed a return telephone call and never got a return telephone call.
We had been advised the delivery could be at least 10 days. On account of the rise in overall cost we figured we’d the 10 days to think of the excess cash. The business then known as 3 days later to convey a delivery the following morning. Alex Bell was argumentative, crying, and wouldn’t supply the title of his boss or supervisor. He maintained the owner was an 80 year-old girl who had been outside of the nation and that he refused to supply her phone # or the FIN of the provider. This company is dishonest and cheats clients. They have to be closed out of business. I’ve reported this to the BBB in addition to the local news business”on you side” to research and offer a public information report so others won’t be affected and ripped off with this corporation.
I discovered FlatRate Movers at a Google search for the transfer out of NYC to California. I predicted several firms along with FlatRate had the lowest prices by a very long shot (red flag?) , and appeared to have great reviews, so I reserved them. I wasn’t sending any large furniture products, just a few boxes of clothing plus also a flat screen TV, a glass supper table, plus a huge floor mirror. I received a delivery slot of approximately two months and was advised it would probably arrive in the start of the slot. My items came on the previous day of this slot. Fine, no big thing. After all of my things were introduced in, we discovered that the TV was shattered, the mirror had been in bits and the dining table legs and foundation were broken and twisted. The driver cried and called HQ and shot photographs of my things. The total amount of compensation has been $500. Weeks after I got back roughly $175 for all this problem. It’s my fault that I just paid for the simple insurance but how did all 3 of my delicate items split? My clothes boxes were all ripped up also but mercifully clothes isn’t quite as delicate. Finally, I received an email to assess my expertise and the site wouldn’t even allow me to speed them anything under 4 stars. I’m disgusted with this particular service and company, which could be the only time I have ever written a negative review for whatever reason. I suggest you all reconsider any long distance proceed for this provider.
Avoid this company at all price. We hired FlatRate to maneuver cherished family heirlooms. When the shipment arrived, things were damaged and a few were missing entirely. Efforts to follow with the company concerning the damaged and missing things were less or more disregarded before legal action was threatened. Rather than attempting to help us solve the issues, FlatRate just denied all responsibility. FlatRate supplied what was possibly the worst going experience of my entire life. Shame of FlatRate due to his or her performance and Support.
Don’t use FLAT RATE unless you need: your entire possessions & your new house permeated with a strong musty odor for weeks on end after utilizing their NJ storage center; a few broken parts of furniture; and also a laughably little’hinting’ reimbursement to your problems, after their mentioning a policy of just 1 claim per movement (not recorded anywhere).
My furniture/boxes were transferred out of Queens, NY into some Manhattan apt, following 6-month within their Newark, NJ centre. They have been sent into your pristine, newly remodeled, newly painted & vacant apt. The musty odor was certainly not there until the items went into storage. The 1st objects brought to the vacant apt were two big cartons packed with Flat Rate. As some since they arrived, a very strong musty odor premiered, confessed by the mind mover. As more things came in, and as upholstered furniture has been siphoned out of FR’s moving blankets, as the odor improved. I naively assumed that was temporary & could broadcast out at a day or 2. For the 1st week, the odor drifted to the frequent hallway.
Over the previous 3 weeks, I’ve: researched corrective steps broadly online; vacuumed, cleaned & laundered the Ready , the upholstery & most the saved contents several times over; peeking out the aggressively & all of the things with enthusiasts to get hrs. On finish; air-conditioned & warmed to remove any humidity; utilized around $95 value of of mold/disinfectant/deodorizing/air-sanitizing sprays, odor absorbers etc. . meticulous and labor-intensive cleanup of each thing; washed furniture down; & lost many products. As every carton was started, more moldy scents were published & more things needed to be washed, aired or lost.
My pricey Tempurpedic mattress & boxspring, in addition to a few inflatable pieces still maintain a odor, but less powerful; I cannot afford to replace them. I pulled out a pricey foam mattress topper, because, even after cleanup, after sleeping on it one night, I had a serious reaction (coughing, coughing, throat closing up, etc., ).
I couldn’t reside at the apt for two months, though I had been paying. I eventually moved in but nevertheless smell an odor, but though much diminished, but I am concerned about the standard of the atmosphere I was & still am breathing. (Following hrs of cleaning & unpacking every day in the start, my clothing kept a faint musty odor attracted in my temp quarters.)
As soon as I composed Flat Rate relating to this, I had been sent a’agreeing’ test for about $150; they stated I was just allowed a single claim, which isn’t documented anywhere. As to this 1 assert, the mind mover took complete responsibility for a busted chair leg, then delivered the workplace a photograph of it & FR needed me fill out a claim form; they reimbursed for this harm (kindly waiving the allowance ). At that stage, I still thought the odor could soon dissipate, perhaps not realizing that the degree to which it disturbs my own possessions. I also hadn’t yet found a 2nd busted seat. And yet one will have 90 days to file a claim. I compensated FR near $6,000, with $3,000 of the for storage (called’weather controlled’ in their site ). Why not payoff of my storage prices rather than the 150″agreeing” check? (Take note: mid-way throughout, FR improved my monthly fee: I’d no option except to cover )
Moreover, be mindful that if you do money a claim test, you’re signing up a legalistic announcement releasing FR out of any prospective claims/responsibilities.
UPDATE: FR consented to examine my situation and invited me to compose a fresh claim. I’m awaiting a reply
To start, Larry P. has to give us a quote by assessing the things to be packaged and transferred into storage and then back home. We receive two quotes out of him (to & from storage) and are quoted a FLATRATE cost, to include whole insurance coverage. The moving day arrives, as does the staff along with 3/4’s of how through were advised that Larry P. missed a few things, so there are a cost adjustment, increaser. Now I’m thinking bait & switch, however we have ta go, so we move.
Our things get transferred into storage for two weeks and believing, this wasn’t a poor experience. Then I’m assessing my American Express Bill and see that the two moves were billed out at a time. I call and talk with Larry’s manager, George. George apologizes, speaks to a girl close to him and asks her to charge the accounts $ x figure, never occurred. And then they charged us again for the transfer from storage.
We go back in and note that there are 3 individual items broken or damaged during the transfer, and here I think, this can be bothersome and we’ve got complete coverage. Then 2-3 weeks after I notice that there is another brand-new part of custom made furniture that’s broken in 3 regions. On account of the fact that it is a lacquered custom made table, I don’t not know whether it is salvageable or desires to be remade. Again, I think to myself, this can be bothersome and we’ve got complete coverage. Whew what a relief, it had been worth the investment.
We publish both claim types and all of the pics, not once, after double. . .but at least seven times. The geniuses in mind, never believed to scroll down a little and find the images. They kept telling me that the e-mails didn’t include any images. The Claims supervisor, Talisha doesn’t return telephone calls nor e-mails. So the Revenue director put me in contact Customer Support, Bernadette. She started off really communicative and feel off the face of the planet, once the billing scenario came up. I then receive a form letter saying that we’re insured for .60 pennies a pound. Obviously I’m a little bemused. So I return to my own e-mails and forwards the e-mails suggesting what level of policy we desired,( how else could I know the price of total coverage).
I had been told by Bernadette a week that the VP of FlatRate will return from holiday on Monday, 10/28/2019. I phoned him this morning at roughly 10-10:15. Just to be told that he had been outside of the workplace and she didn’t know if he would be in. I inquired for George and he wasn’t accessible; Bernadette was likewise not available and I didn’t bother requesting Talisha. I called back about 10 minutes later to find out if George was accessible, but he magically went to some meeting.
When I returned home this afternoon I called American Express and contested all fees connected with this movement. The representative at AMX asked me when I was connected with FlatRate and that I told her a very, very, very abbreviated form of the aforementioned, titles only were awarded.
I won’t ever use them again and just suggest them as a how not to conduct a business version.
FlatRate smashed my 50 inch plasma tv throughout the move. They then only provided to compensate me 60 cents per pound. That turned out to be $36 for a 2000 television. They also struck a lamp and also showed up hours late. Don’t use this business!
Last summer Flatrate transferred my things and hauled it in storage for a month before delivery. Following a flood in their own storage facility caused literally tens of thousands of dollars of harm, I obtained $60 in reimbursement – that is following their beautiful customer support agents assured me how committed their board of supervisors was to doing right by me personally since the flooding in their centre was completely their fault.
Every once in a while you locate unreliable service businesses, however Flatrate likely wins the cost concerning incompetence and neglect. I contracted a inclusive moving agency (such as dissembling and reassembling a couch and a bed frame) to maneuver a 1bdr apartment in the Upper West into Long Island City on August 28, 2019. Well, I’ll tell you some thing, my couch never came to my new flat!!!! Someone out of the carpentry group broke my couch (while attempting to dissemble it) and determined that the couch could no more be of some use (and also took advantage of this fact that we’re already travelling with a different Flatrate staff to our new flat ) and unilaterally chose the decision to dispatch it as garbage it in an unknown site. After 3 hours of having no matter of this carpentry group, they eventually showed up with all our framework bed (that incidentally was severally scraped and ruined ) and this individual had the guts of telling him he chose to ditch our (which he broke) couch somewhere unknown. Regrettably, that isn’t even the worst portion of handling Flatrate. Their sales staff looks fine (at least to the outside…), however, their assert group has become easily the most unhelpful, incompetent and negligent team you may picture. We filed a claim type the very first week of September and we still have not receive a response on the claim. They don’t respond our emails or telephone calls, and neither the sales staff has helped in any respect. I sincerely hope that you don’t commit the identical error I did when determining to employ Flatrate. The adventure was and is still a nightmare.
I hired Flatrate Transferring to assist me and my spouse go from a 1-bedroom flat in Manhattan to upstate NY on Sunday, Aug. 2, and it had been a complete disaster from begin to finish. They ruined nearly $3,500 worth of artwork and framed artwork through gross neglect –and just provided an abysmal settlement of $368.40. They also did not send professional movers–they sent somebody in training! Additionally, the movers did not wear masks throughout the pandemic.
After showing up late, the movers proceeded to do a very poor job during the transfer. They began by having the motorist put my light-colored upholstered sofa directly on the NYC pavement (no blankets down to shield it) to wrap it in plastic–no respect for possible stains or damage.
They utilized a shredded blanket (I’ve got a photograph of this ) to haul a very heavy West Elm dresser down the staircase upside-down. After we unwrapped it in the new flat, each corner of the product was bashed in, there were heavy grooves and scratches throughout the surface, there was paint stripped away by the tape used by the movers, along with the movers snapped off the nickname the cupboard door on the side. It had been irreparable, and while I have spent over a week requesting the movers to come back and eliminate it (I can not move it myself), Flatrate Moving has yet to look after this.
They ruined lightweight furniture from Ikea, such as a desk, bookshelf, and drawers–things that I might have removed the staircase and moved myself without damaging. It almost feels as though they TRIED to hurt these things. The movers also ruined almost every bit of framed artwork we paid extra to get them pack with caution. What’s more, they strove to balance a 3-month-old Herman Miller office chair on its back (where fragile parts for lumbar support have been set up ) along with several boxes at the moving truck. As soon as I requested that they move into a more suitable location, they left a giant black thumb-stain that can not be removed. This seat was in excellent condition before they managed it, and now it’s stained and the levers do not work correctly.
The quantity of harm is completely incredible with this movement. I asked that the lead inspector (Kyle) for an excuse, and he explained that the damage happened since Flatrate Moving failed to send an expert, they delivered a”trainee,” who managed my items improperly. I’ve Kyle’s answer on movie, which I’ll share on YouTube to warn others about this adventure.
Kyle summed it up perfectly when he stated,”You get a great deal of items that are damaged.”
Worse yet–those movers nearly never wore a mask, even if inside my homes and talking near me. We are moving in a pandemic! Wearing a mask would be the least they can do, and also the absence of the simple precaution indicates that Flatrate Moving does not give a damn about the health of its clients. My spouse and I wore masks during the whole movement to look after the movers. It’s deeply troubling that they did not show us the exact same respect.
We have been working with many different individuals at Flatrate (including revenue planner Jeff Cadwallader, asserts partner Cici Mota, and customer relations director Brian Nalty), plus they have been mostly unresponsive and unhelpful, regardless of my spouse and I wanting to become combined and figure out a suitable resolution. I intend to file complaints with the Department of Transportation, the Better Business Bureau, the Department of Public Health, NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs, the Attorney General, along with all other regulatory and consumer watchdog organizations to get the word out about this incompetent Business. I am also going to talk to an attorney concerning this circumstance.
Do yourself a favor–HIRE ANYONE ELSE BUT FLATRATE MOVING. The business maintains a”stress-free move,” but working on them was the most stressful part of the move.
FLATRATE MOVING — NYC REVIEW Transfer date Friday 28 August 2015 UNPROFESSIONAL LAZY STAFF WHO FAILED TO COMPLETE THE JOB ON TIME — DO NOT USE
PACK & PREP two feminine”packers” turned up rather than 3-4″movers” that were assumed to also prep all of the furniture prepared for the move the following day. Hours later after we insisted, they shipped several movers in the day. So a half day job become a complete day occupation — not great if you’d just planned to have a half a day off work.
MOVERS
The construction’s Super stated he had never noticed such LAZY movers and could take notice never to use FlateRate Movers. Took 4hrs (10-2) to maneuver from a fully packaged and prepped 2 bedroom flat with lifts. We bought them lunch they then vanished for 45mins between flats (it is a 5-minute driveway ) leaving 1h15m to move into the new flat. Evidently, they failed to move into the new flat punctually. We asked when they had more folks earlier in the afternoon (if it was apparent to us that they were not likely to proceed from the deadline and they said no more ). Careless — shattered building lift detector and damaged two bits of the furniture. Hopeless — couldn’t build the basic furniture such as a mattress, crib. This required oversight by us to ensure the job was completed properly.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
When the movers vanished for 45mins departing 1hr15m to proceed — I had been frantically contacting FlatRate customer support to attempt to get more guys to find the work completed in time. I talked to 3 individuals all who neglected to help and only advised that the movers are eligible for a lunch break. Not one of the 3 individuals called me back as I inquired with a remedy (needing more individuals to finish the movement on time) into the fast approaching deadline of transferring the furniture in before the construction cut off time. Additionally, I called the representative that had completed the assessment in my flat and who’d been my contact in organizing the movement, and he neglected to answer the 3 occasions I called.
OVERALL
Incredibly stressful afternoon and FlatRate didn’t help 1 bit in attempting to make the day run smoothly. Whatever you do, steer clear of the organization.
I recently moved cross country with Flatrate, from Brooklyn, NY, to Portland, OR. Yesterday, I started packaging boxes and lots of items of jewellery were missing out of my own boxes. A person went through two boxes (marked Bedroom/my title –a major mistake) and systematically took what they believed looked valuable. They had the time to open every box and hastily toss back everything inside. 1 box was even retaped.
I simply don’t know how this can be okay. Damaging items in a movement, maybe shedding a box or a product once in a while, confident –it occurs. However, Flatrate, YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE STEALING your own customers’ possessions. No company should ever stand for this.
I’m waiting to learn exactly what Flatrate will do about that. I’ll be delighted to update this review should they rectify the circumstance, yet this theft overshadows anything else.
These men have some of the worst customer support I Have lately experienced. Adam Robb managed my move and after that as soon as things went wrong, he vanished. I got a new couch from a socket in Brooklyn and had it moved into the city. The speed was 500 to maneuver 1 couch 4 kilometers. I didn’t wish to search around so that I consented. I had been reassured that it would be nicely wrapped and cared for, and sent to me in excellent condition. After the motorists showed up, I came home and noticed that they were yanking my brand-new leather couch on its own side, the entire span of their truck. Additional the couch was not wrapped!! I could not believe my eyes. Its a $13k brand new leather couch by Restoration Hardware and all these men are handling it just like I purchased it in a thrift shop for around 200 bucks. Obviously there was a enormous scratch in the leather. I tried coping with FlatRate relating to this and after several calls that I got nowhere. They provided me $180. The replacement of this item that has been damaged is roughly $3500, plus they gave me $180!!! Im just so disgusted by those men. . .they don’t have any sympathy and no guilt. Its all about dollars and cents. I phoned my accounts supervisor (Adam Robb) for assistance but it got me nowhere. I then tried moving the ladder up and eventually talked to a supervisor Brittany Tovar and pleaded with her to do exactly the perfect thing. She stated that because I did not insure the product, that is all they had been needed to provide me by legislation, and that is all they’d do. I requested her to at least reimburse me for my transfer and that I made it look like this was an insane petition. Her helper even told me to entice them into small claims court, and that I thought was sort of humorous. Anyhow, you’d feel that a professional moving business could understand which you will need to wrap delicate furniture in blankets, so when they did not take all steps to secure your things, they’d at least attempt to do the ideal thing and make this up for you. Rather these men just really seemed not to care, and so are just eager to perform the bare minimum required by legislation.
If I could leave them negative stars I’d
This firm are thieves that they stole two of my designer bags and tried to provide me $300
How absurd
After 4 weeks
Let’s not forget that they were a week late with delivery afterward showed up with 6 boxes overlooking and two bits of my furniture lost showing up two weeks after
Given no incentive come to discover that they stole 2 luggage
This firm is the devil
Don’t use them
No reply
Nicholas simply speaks to you in the time of earnings with broken promises
I repent expecting them
Previously I submitted my poor experience but Flat Rate called me personally and that I had a conversation together. They listened to some situation and clarified the difficulty I had. They gave me an 600$ reduction. It was a reasonable bargain and that I was delighted with the result. The simple fact that a company adheres to its clients is something quite important and that I was impressed with this; it doesn’t occur quite frequently.
I go to school in NYC and has been kicked out of their dorms therefore that the beds may be utilized as overflow beds for hospitals bombarded by COVID 19 or into home medical staff. Because of the brief note, I was not able to pack my belongings prior to moving home. Fortunately, Flatrate Moving supplied a hassle-free storage and move alternative once I managed to be there myself. Each of the agents I talked to were friendly and accommodating and the movers kept me updated every step along the way.
The flatrate moving program was also useful for incorporating things I had forgotten to add. My one criticism is that the inaccuracy of those”find your truck” attribute, since it stated my truck was at exactly the exact same place for a number of hours once I understood it was certainly not there. In addition, the program simply permits you to add new items into your stock, not to boost the number of an current item.
I proceeded with Flatrate before this season and it was fantastic. I’ve moved together previously but that was the very first time that I had them bunch for me. I will never do it any other way! They managed everything! I strongly suggest them.
Ernesto identification 9241 and Eli. They were equally good. Will work with again. Really professional, on time. Referring to most of my buddies
FlatRate was advocated by two individual friends and I was not disappointed. From first contact with Bernard through to shifting day communicating regarding logistics and costs was great. My group of movers were professional, patient and kind. Moving is tough and a little stressful. FlatRate helped make it a smooth and relatively simple encounter.
My spouse and I employed FlatRate Moving Company because of our transfer out of NYC to Connecticut and could not be more happy. The team was on time, courteous, effective, and functioned nonstop in 90-degree warmth to move us from the third-floor WALK-UP apartment to some yearlong house in Connecticut. Everything has been handled with caution. The team worked separately but requested for input where necessary and also set up and staged everything from the new residence. Excellent experience working for this firm. Can use these for any future motions.
The 3 man team that transferred my loved ones were so super professional, effective, and functioned safely throughout during the pandemic. The whole procedure was smooth and their rates are super reasonable.
This is my sixth period with Flatrate Moving and they’re always the very best! I’ve had amazing experiences together. I strongly suggest them for motions in nyc!
I’ve had a few dreadful moving adventures, and’d essentially written all movers off since dishonest and incompetent. Flatrate was an incredible surprise. To start with, only the level rate – that the complete transparency concerning the cost – must be a guideline for each moving business, and has been only a massive relief for me personally, realizing that they would not jack up the cost in the past minute. And the cost was lower than the other firm I contrasted to! Secondly, the movers had been exceptionally capable, effective, and friendly. Third, the communication was exceptional during – co. employees emailed or involved in some problems, responded to inquiries obviously, and generally were very simple to utilize. Highly recommend and will certainly use again.
Pablo and Muhammad of all flatrate moving were both amazing and incredibly professional. They called to provide an eta prior to coming, came early and prepared to begin instantly, reviewed the stock checklist and other essential documents, guaranteed that I knew every step along the procedure, answered all of my queries, loaded and unloaded my possessions without caution, a feeling of urgency, and nothing else had been broken. They definitely reduced my stress and stress amount during this transition, also that I urge flatrate moving to everybody.
I proceeded with horizontal rate twice over the previous 3 decades. The two moves were both positive encounters. There weren’t any hidden expenses, the quotations have been above board and fair. The movers came on time, were both professional and very attentive. We highly recommend level speed.
Highly suggest FlatRate movers for anybody searching for a skilled and friendly staff. Needed to alter our moving programs because of Covid-19 and had a few back and forth across the way due to construction demands but constantly got a fast answer from FlatRate. The movers were fast, effective, and also did an fantastic job!
I really like flatrate movers! Malcom, Terrell and Francisco made my transfer as easy and stress free as possible! They’re so friendly and so fast at what they do! I can not rave more about these!
User friendly from the very start. This is a stressful movement and Flatrate left it a lot simpler to compete with. Since the beginning of the transfer the business was communicative, easy to utilize, and also professional. The movers have been super nice and also quite easy to use. They got everything transferred much faster than we anticipated and did a terrific job being attentive. I’ll certainly proceed with these guys again!
Exceptional experience from first on screen consultation with Kevin, proceed foreman Anderson, and charging with Steve.
Everything was easy in their conclusion!
And Anderson actually took such good care of my items that he packed all himself, unpacked the dangling items, dining table, art, mattress, three armoires, and lamps, and placing all of them at the ideal place in the new flat! He even made certain that the lamp has been plugged in for me so I would not be left in the dark! He had been STELLAR.
I have only higher praise for the business. An extremely courteous and professional worker ran a thoughtful in-person trip to my house initially to take a list (great occupation, Lewis), and that he afterwards followed up over 24 hours — on a Sunday, no less — with a quote. The price was aggressive: not the lowest, but unlike many of the provider’s opponents the number I had given was a good quotation, not even a slick”best estimate.” So I chose to offer them a go.
As it was, I could not have been more happy with my expertise. Blake and his group of movers showed up on time and worked faithfully and attentively for many hours on each end. The movement was ran on program and with enormous care. The most bizarre items (such as a piano that had to journey until the fourth ground of the elevator-less building in the destination) were transferred gently and securely.
High factors: the predictability of this”flat rate” quote; the *outstanding * courtesy and professionalism of their workers; along with the care and attention where the project was completed. Not a glass has been broken.
Low things: not much to talk of. Maybe including yet another person on the group in the destination could have made the procedure somewhat quicker. Along with the move-in procedure began a few hours behind schedule. Nothing which would justify kicking down the rating from five to four stars.
Total: good task, would use again, would highly recommend. Bravo.
That is our third go with Flatrate. As always they have been phenomenally dependable, honest, considerate, patient, effective, and just plain useful in every way, by Adam in Earnings to the dispatchers that juggled our modifications in scheduling into the incredible team (below Adolfo) who did the job.
Really an wonderful business from begin to finish. Moving became a whole lot less stressful for this wonderful business. Everyone was friendly, professional and on time! They listened to exactly what I had and moved beyond that. Thanks for yet again an wonderful move!
We utilize FlatRate Moving for all of our shifting needs here in Beaver Concrete Construction Company. They never don’t impress us with their own prices and their services. We never need to think about last minute things popping up since they always manage it without any issues. We’ll never use a different moving business in the past.
I had an fantastic experience in the first contact individual Joshua, that walked me through the whole procedure and touch base with me as I changed the pieces that I had been moving into the exact professional and proficient proceeding team..Craig, Edis along with their Spanish motorist ( didn’t even get his name). They arrived on time, worked together with pace, actually wrapped around the household furniture so carefully. They moved everything into the new flat with no harm….Will never hesitate to recommend them
FlatRate did a terrific job going for me. The entire process was really simple and they have been on time and quickly moved the things to get a very long distance movement. I strongly recommend!
I hired Flatrate going to transfer out of my apartment into our new home,
We dont have that much stuff and half of it all we pulled out since we were gon na na purchase all new
So essentially they had to transfer 2 brd rather than 4
It took them around 4-5 hours to relocate us
So much from what I am seeing nothing is broken or missing
So I will probably give them a 5
FlatRate Moving is your sole moving business I’ll work with in NYC not merely did they maintain their own time, their experience, the staff punctually during the whole procedure. Bravo!
I would strongly recommend this firm. They transferred all of our things with precision and care. From reserving with Bernard to Tyrone and his movers, each facet was fantastic!
I was really satisfied with this organization’s services. This is the next time have utilized them to move my office furniture. I strongly suggest them.
Very handy and effortless move, with no problems. Men completed everything accurate and fast. Thanks!
Bernard in FlatRate continues to be my shifting sensei for 3 moves today. Might even be 4. Each moment, flawless, every team was personable and easy to use, leaping in and doing all of the items to make it simpler for us to sense sorted. The foreman that moment, Roberto, was a stone, humorous and current and really on top of exactly what had to occur. I enjoy moving with FlatRate.
This is the best move I’d needed. The group by Flatrate was amazingly professional, effective, exact, and sort. Transferring is really stressful, but perhaps not with those fine individuals. I was really blown away by the entire experience. Adolfo, the foreman, had been fantastic! I could not think how he needed the opportunity to make things even better at the new location than they had been in my previous flat. Adolfo secured a doorway in my desk unit so that it functioned better than it formerly did. This was super fine! Each of the movers, the packer, along with the builders actually made my afternoon. It was actually the best move I have had in this town. Certainly, the most effective!
Moving can be a difficult process, we’re extremely fortunate to have hired one to manage our relocation. Abdel and his spouse arrived promptly this morning to start the moving process. They’re courteous, professional and efficient. From the minute they entered our house it had been apparent that we’d experienced movers using a strategy to do with precision. Thanks for sending Abdel along with his spouse since they exceeded our expectations.
The move staff was amazingly professional and careful. The fixed speed was terrific. Our crew was punctually and managed everything with fantastic care.
Our movers were so courteous and competent. They had been on-time and packaged everything so nothing had been broken.
Outstanding,Polite,Professional
3rd time with Flatrate. Fantastic company, price fair, and terrific movers!
I have used this business three times because I moved to NYC and do not have sufficient great things to share these. Salespeople are reputable, movers are courteous and effective, AND they provide referral discounts! Love love love
I utilized FlatRate Moving in Manhattan and it had been outstanding support. We’d Craig Norman, Juan De la Rosa along with Randy Valdez functioning to transfer my studio flat and they were just the very best. They chose the opportunity to be certain everything was packaged up correctly and moved out of the way to assist with extra products. They’re also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend using this organization and can not talk highly enough of the group of men especially.
Quit looking for movers. Receive a quote. I’d utilize FlatRate Movers when I needed to relocate again. Revenue, COI, movers, dispatch, substances, truck, everybody and everything was of exceptional quality.
The whole experience was great. Moving is quite stressful but this business made it rather simple and worry free.
It’s the 2nd time that I utilize flatrate moving and that I was not disappointed!
Emmanuel assisted me to get the 2nd period with paperwork and scheduling and the afternoon of the transferring the 3 movers were so both nice, respectful, and also did a excellent job. I strongly suggest this moving business.
Thank you all!
Apartment speed movers were quite efficient, responsible and caring. The men who came took quite great care of most of our possessions, which has been a relief. The business is also very cheap which was a massive thing for me personally. That is actually the best movers I have used so much and I will certainly hire them again.
I have moved twice in the previous two decades, and utilized flat speed both times. I am beyond pleased with them, sufficient to take some opportunity to write a review. . .the price they quote you is the price you pay. The representative who helped me put up my movement wasn’t only pleasant and attentive, but each time I emailed him a question or modification, I discovered back within the hour. That is crazy. The movers are beasts. They work hard, carefully and quickly. Both teams both moves were excellent, courteous and reliable. Honestly, utilize these men – even though your quote is a bit higher than other businesses, the simplicity and transparency these men bring the dining table is best in category.
The procedure was pain-free from begin to finish. Assessing the movement required no longer than five minutes, and the moving group was effective, kind and adapting. Could not have asked for much better.
Movers were professional and quite valuable. Overall a Fantastic experience and I would recommend hiring them
Excellent moving firm with superior support. They manage all of your possessions with care. They’re effective. The sales staff is very knowledgeable and easy to use if it comes to cost. From your first telephone call to find an estimate into the handing across the trick for those movers, every client will feel they’ve gotten their cash and time’s value!
What an unbelievable moving encounter. The movers in FlatRate took better care of my possessions than I might have possibly envisioned (or done myself).
My spouse and I moved out of NYC to Philadelphia and reserved FlatRate to go from the two bedroom flat. The entire experience was perfect, from the consumer support prior to the transfer, to the exceptionally thoughtful and efficient movers. 10/10.
FlatRate Moving is a really professional business. The folks sound very capable and operate reliably.
This was my fist time going and that I needed to go from Florida to Colombus,Ohio and that I picked Flat rate moving predicated a number of those decent reviews in net and a few weren’t that fantastic also. But I had an excellent knowledge in utilizing their services. The relocation pro Bob had been Polite, courteous and great in comprehending my shifting needs and managed to adapt my requests for adding extra items to the stock and also shifting the moving dates because of my new job.He needed a fantastic comprehension of the movement and the way it has to be accomplished in a professional way.
The Truck Guys-Uvan along with his partner, who’d attracted the merchandise were also polite and made certain that there wasn’t any harm to some of our items.Very Polite Guys and Good at performing their job.
I will recommend Flat rate movers for Moving .They are only Superb..Good Job. .Keep up it.
This is next move together with Flatrate. Both were alike. Both very smooth and professional. Really like how that they keep you informed each step along the way.
Fantastic business and way less $ than many others for the exact same or better support.
I’d fantastic movement with FlatRate this particular weekend. They boxed up the rest personal and delicate items I was not able to package. In addition they took my furniture apart and required the utmost caution wrap everything. The guys were very professional, prompt, type and extremely communicative. They’re respectful of all my possessions and really, very hard workers!
I shopped around a little but Flatrate was not the only one which may come by and provide an honest appraisal straight away. Their pricing is clear and it is better to be aware of the price upfront and not need to manage this in an already stressful moment.
The movers were awesome. Right now (really 1 minute early in 8:59! ) ) , super humble and worked so incredibly difficult. Everything has been wrapped up and a lot of attention to detail. I have moved three times in five decades and this has been by far the very best experience.
No complaints here. Showed up in time. Dispatch was considerate and accommodating. Showed up with team and has been professional and worked together with us the entire way through. Kept in contact and let’s know their whereabouts throughout the transfer. The experience was just what I had hoped for.
RE: FlatRate Moving 16501 NW 8th Ave, Miami, Fl 33169 TEL: 305-622-5262 – touch Ian O’Reilly
I can only talk to the Miami division of FlatRate that I dealt with, I’m sorry for Everybody who had a poor encounter with other divisions. I transferred in Miami, Florida to Portland, OR at 2009, two weeks before Christmas. I had been completely unprepared for how trying that the shifting encounter may be. I’d done lots of the preliminary packaging myself, because I had been considered with cherished items getting ruined, because the old adage goes:”if you need something done right, do it yourself” so that I spent a few weeks before the transfer packing all of my household heirlooms and breakables in bubble wrap and boxed it all up myself. All that was left was that the heavy duty things, my classic furniture (that I had been really worried about any harm ) and also my home office. The movers came up precisely on time, called me to say that they had been on the road, and abruptly 6 men were in my own driveway. The moment I opened the door I burst in to tears. The crew leader was a Large russian man, he instantly calmed down me, told me what will be fine, and to simply leave it up to them. I was hysterical. They promptly got to work load up my pre-boxed boxes (which they did inform me to perform and that I suggest everybody needs to do) and carefully wrapped All my lovely classic furniture together with furniture pads, place my beds in enormous boxes, and carefully wrapped glass shelves, mirrors…I was freaking but did begin to calm down once I noticed how nicely and specialist they were, along with the moment they had been spending protecting All my things. OK, so that is all of the Fantastic part. The only”surprise” was once the huge russian dude takes me apart and describes to me – very peacefully, not in a threatening manner whatsoever – that the cost which was offered to me, that was already expensive (around $7K) did NOT add a suggestion for the team. Well, imagine my surprise. I was already in shock to Start with, now I am thinking”when I do not tip these men, my things will Wind up at Kansas or arrive at pieces”. Fortunately I’d taken some money from the bank daily before preparing to leave city, and that I snapped out $100 for every single man ($500) and $200 to the primary man – thus my”suggestion” came to nearly $700, that had been 10 percent of the whole cost. I Believe the crew leader had been appreciative that I did not argue and I’d honor They were doing a Excellent job, it could have only been great to know this happening, by the salesman that lent my own”flat rate” cost. I also did underestimate a lot of my possessions on the first stock, and they ended up copying them up for me personally anyhow, with No Excess charge. Thus in the Long Run , you get what you purchase. It was a huge hit to pare those $700 however, the team chief was really nice and assured me that my items would be cared for in their warehouse and in transit, and the entire team were very pleasant through the package which required a great 6-7 hours (8am-3pm). Everything arrived undamaged, nothing was lost nor discharged, the stock checklist was reviewed entirely until they left and again when they came. I hope Ian remains at this division also will highly recommend anyone going from Miami to cope with him and try to ask the”large russian dude” who had been a Complete professional. All of the other Regional businesses that I’d predicted sounded so false and also inexpensive to trust. So besides the”flat rate” not to be a flat rate, just ask upfront regarding gratuitites and do not argue about it in case you like your possessions, only be gracious about it, that is life in the town I am afraid. Lulu
We had been satsitifed with the transfer, the truck arrived punctually, the movers were sort, did the work very quickly.
I had been informed of what; advent of movers who picked up and sent my things, monitoring of truck through text and email.
I was glad that the shipping was within the smallest period of time.
The movers were considerate and detailed.
When we arrived in my new flat, we discovered that the floors weren’t prepared and I wouldn’t be able t picture in my unit for many hours. The movers waited patiently for 4 hours since I attempted to access my device, and finally moved my stuff into storage space that I procured. Afterward , they offered to return another day (the 4th of July) to allow me to move my things in my own unit. This ended up not being mandatory, but I greatly appreciated their patience and professionalism. In the conclusion of the afternoon, moving become the least stressful part of the adventure.
I’ll be advocating FlatRate to everybody today. They left our San Francisco-to-Austin go very simple and transparent at each step along the procedure. They supply solutions for free that additional important providers don’t provide (like packaging TV, wardrobes, etc). On the afternoon of this transfer, the moving team even went over and beyond and returned to pick up extra boxes that I forgot about within a cupboard. I’ve not moved using a business as pleasant and responsive because these men! Will definitely be seeking to proceed with FlatRate as long too.
Everybody at FlatRate was friendly, efficient, accommodating of all my orders; they provided no-strings”flat rate” that defeat its rival, delivered all of my resources undamaged and punctually — moving cross country during vacation season! Perhaps not hiccups, no jive. No doubt recommending them.
Straight up fair, and not pushy in any way. I moved from NYC to MD, so it was a two day movement where they picked up things one day and dropped off it the next. Everybody was respectful and to the stage. In the dispatch men to the movers were favorable, but had a no nonsense’get job done’ attitude.
In general experience with FlatRate has been fantastic – by the sales rep and fast quote into the actual moving day. The moving group came a couple of minutes early and proceeded everything very carefully and economically. My particular group (Elmostafa, Mamado and Zoran) was excellent – really friendly and worked really difficult to ensure that I was comfortable with what they had been doing. The FlatRate group created moving from NYC (in the flat to storage through Covid-19) much better than anticipated. Would highly recommend.
I’ve moved a great deal in my entire life and have begun to accept the reality that typically a moving company is only a moving firm and something will fail. NOT this provider. They did. it. all. perfectly.
AMAZING.
I’ll be using them over and over.
Thankfully Brian and Nick in FlatRate had assisted me throughout the procedure and made It less stressful. I’ll be using them again for my horses move.
I lately used FlatRate to get a long distance move out of NY to NC and has been really delighted. They were very professional and had a very fair rate when compared with large box movers. The transfer went very easily and they stuck to the brief guaranteed delivery date.
Outstanding move together with professional and service oriented workers – that I was overwhelmed with all the easy and the rapid employees
My transfer from CT to NJ came up very fast, and that I had been advocated FlatRate by my buddy who’d used them earlier. I filed a question on the internet, and in under one hour, was contacted! Adam was really easy to use, and answered my many questions. When moving day arrived, I had a group of 3 great men arrive to pack and move me. Reggie, Terrell and Bojan were Superb. They were punctual, professional, and fast! They really made a stressful day far better. Thank you guys for keeping me grinning and for getting my things to my new residence in excellent condition!
Concept, earnings, dispatcher, movers all good. Adaptive (needed to alter the transfer date 3 occasions, NO issue!) , translucent pricing, friendly, helpful, answered all of my queries. Can hire FlatRate again when desired!
The staffs at Flat Rate Movers are kind, and careful. They’ve been very patient with me and rid all of my doubts. It’s excellent to select you as movers. Thank you staff.
My construction supervisor recommended Flatrate and I am very happy that I took her advice. The whole experience was quite pleasant and the the ten which came out on the afternoon of my movement was fantastic. Additionally, the cost was very aggressive. Thank for the excellent support!
Right from the beginning, the team was quick, friendly and attentive with my house. It took them longer to push in the pickup location to the last destination. However, that didn’t remove from their excitement to perform their own job. Throughout their trip , they encountered strong winds out of storm Isaias, down power lines and trees also. However, they left it. All great.
Flatrate movers have always assisted me along with my motions within the previous 8 decades. . Out of New York to colorado and rear. . And then several internal NYC moves. . Today to new jersey. . Flatrate was so dependable and worth every cent. The movers are highly effective and very cautious with all our items. . Their attention to detail in addition to their versatility to do things such as throwing furniture out as part of their transfer. . It is only a fantastic support
Called to get a quotation and David ceased by over two days to work up a cost. The price was very honest and I had to add things and price has been reasonably corrected. They came on time and that I monitored the truck to the program. My brand new construction is quite specific about the insurance policy coverage and the certification of insurance has been shipped immediately following my petition. I suggest Flatrate and might use them again in one moment.
Great quotation, amazing movers. Moved everything fast. Did a fantastic job making sure everything was safe and protected. They went over and beyond. Thank you
Fantastic service and very fast. Would highly recommend to anybody. They’re experts and extremely skilled. Their customer support is second to no one — you receive a dedicated rep out of their sales division.
Everything was fantastic! Jean Benitez, Dandre Birch, David, and Jose were all incredible. They have been professional and finished the task in a timely way. We had been really satisfied with their job and couldn’t have done it without them.
It is possible to compare costs with 10 different moving companies, however when the shifting day experience is awful, or when you get up billed at the end since you’ve got more boxes than you anticipated, or made a decision to accept that bookcase, you are likely to be more mad and much more worried than required. We compared costs and Flatrate was not the lowest, but the man we speak to seemed like he knew what he was doing. He’d a virtual walk through through FaceTime, also gave us a quote which was at the ballpark but at the top end of the others. But he persuaded me that a few added boxes will not alter the cost with his or her company. And I’d no assurances with the others.
Moving day comes along with the group of 4 gets here right on time, introduces themselves, reassures us that they will look after everything. They were quite considerate, very pleasant guys. Plus they transferred a large two bedroom apartment with stairs to the truck in 90 minutes. Including disassembling two beds and a dining table. And we’d probably near 15 boxes over anticipated but he maintained the agreed to price. In the destination they strove to see what we wrote on the boxes to place them in the ideal rooms for us. Each piece of furniture has been unwrapped and place exactly where we requested.
Why were these men so good? I believe #1 they had been truly great men. And #2, they work for tips. Therefore please, tip your movers liberally!! I really don’t wish to consider moving again, but when I had to I’d call Flatrate.
Moving can be stressful, but my experience with everybody at FlatRate put my mind at ease. Adam, my sales rep was specialist and comprehension of my requirements. The day of the transfer I got a text telling me when to anticipate the truck. The movers came and were hustling to get the work done in a timely fashion and were cautious at precisely the exact same moment. I strongly suggest FlatRate Moving – that the job is completed in the rate agreed upon without the hidden expenses.

This is to get a movement that occurred on the 14th of August. Our material has been moved out of our apartment to storage for 1 month. Pablo and the rest of the moving team were Fantastic! They’re professional, communicative, and rather beneficial. The additionally followed all social distancing and Covid-19 requirements (mask wearing, etc). I strongly recommend Pablo’s team and I intend to utilize them for our transfer out of storage to our new flat in a weeks time.
