DuFrane Moving and Storage

Don’t use this business, they’ll lie to you and tear you off. After our family things were on the vehicle and the truck drove away, they sprang nearly $4,000 value of false charges on us, nearly half of this total moving quotation we received! I called to place up to transfer two pianos to 2 distinct locations. They said they billed $240 per hour. I wasn’t informed of the four-hour minimal till they finished moving my piano. They weren’t upfront with their prices and had I known about it I’d have given them four hours worth of work. The movement only took a bit more than two hours.

DuFrane did a terrific job of transferring my possessions.  I’d have a problem with a few of those movers whining a lot.  He had been frustrated that they didn’t send three men to transfer my piano.  He was somewhat cranky when asking whether there were additional things in the storage and garage.  I felt uneasy and accountable for making him perform although he was being paid and that I even tipped him along with also his teammate VERY WELL!

Additionally, I found they charged me an additional 30 minutes. As soon as I called to inquire about it they stated they include 15 minutes into the start and end of trip.  Why???? This additional cost was surely not a part of this quotation I purchased.

Cal and Carter did an superb job for us. Very considerate and professional. Will definitely be using them again.

To begin with, I’m completely irrelevant to DuFrane and’d never even heard of these prior to my move. I found them on line since I had a grand piano and wanted someone who understood the way to proceed it. (The big-name firms were reluctant to perform so and wanted ME to pay extra to hire a piano builder to load it on their trucks! It is not difficult to move a grand piano–a single man can do it–but you really should understand what you are doing.) Virtually everybody in the business that I had contact with was courteous, professional, and receptive. The front-office girl, Kimberly Gau, was Great.   Paul (I believe that is his title ) is among the proprietors of the provider. He came outside to help load up the truck, and he definitely knew what he was doing. I felt quite confident working together with him. 1 thing that I did not understand was that there could be different men loading the truck out of those who drove it cross-country and unloaded it. It wasn’t a perfect move. There WERE a couple hitches. Do not expect to move an whole household almost 2,000 miles at the rear of a truck with no issue or 2! The men unloading my things were really good, and general did a superb job. It started to rain, however, and they did not cover a number of their wooden furniture, therefore I needed to knock down it quickly as it got at the home. They were young guys, and that I do not think they understood the harm only a tiny water place can perform. 1 publication in a box got somewhat waterlogged. The oddest thing that happened was that an antique breakfront got severely splintered and ruined; I had given directions on how it was to be moved, but the directions had not been passed on. Alright, so this review is  sounding like a complaint, right? Well, it is not. There’ll ALWAYS be issues at a move, if you do it yourself or employ the top movers in the entire world. Here is what: the firm took complete responsibility for damaging the breakfront with no debate. I discovered a nearby furniture repair individual who took long months, not months, to finish the fix, and they worked together with him. They paid him entirely. I didn’t have any hassles or problems at all concerning this, and now I have the breakfront back, perfectly revived, at no expense to me personally. The men who sent the furniture were so considerate that they even took off their shoes to safeguard the light-colored carpet each time they came to the home! Amazing! A finicky neighbor began to hassle them, and these young guys were totally gracious and considerate, even to the point of painstakingly backing the truck all the way down the street in the neighbor’s insistence if they were departing, instead of moving forward about a curve (which they could have done, though it could have clipped several shrubs). Everything was delivered undamaged together with the exceptions mentioned previously, the piano had been put up and came in excellent condition, they arrived to pickup and deliver exactly when they stated they would, along with my closing shipping price arrived in UNDER the quote. DuFrane isn’t a mega-huge comany, but their prices are competitive. Additionally they proceed museums, so that they understand the way to be mindful. I’d certainly use them again and highly recommend them to anybody.
