We contacted DSL movers of highland hills, NY, on a recommendation of the man who hauled our classic automobiles. He was amazing, so we took his note about the recommendation. We also found nothing on line damaging towards DSL movers. But, we discovered them to ben’t entirely truthful and they had no qualms about it.
Long story short: we contracted with the movers 8500 to transfer our whole house of possessions from upstate NY to Tampa, FL. . .Result. . .Our things which didn’t fit in the smaller truck that they rented, are nevertheless in NY! We discovered these to be unethical and could say to anyone out there contemplating them. . .Do not even DSL movers! They look like nice folks, but they’ll direct you without the apologies.
We went during the estimating procedure, the spouse of the few came into our house and looked at all, and also as a matter of fact, we eliminate some things involving the time of this quote and going day. We also agreed to pay her $600 for 2 people for 4 hours ahead package a few days ahead of the transfer. Before she arrived, she changed the cost to $650 to cover for her gasoline (geesh, was not that at the initial cost?) . The afternoon she came up, she and the other packer were there for only 3 hours, and they had been politely out the doorway.
On Friday afternoon, the Agency shows up using a truck bigger compared to the one we believed we had been becoming, a 20 feet, rather than a 26 feet truck. Obviously , not all of our items match on the bigger truck. So we’ve got another block of things sitting at NY. The mover wouldn’t budge if we attempted to convince him to pull on a u-haul trailer supporting his shifting truck. We’d cover the lease to the trailer. He needed more cash to cover the additional gas. They had been somewhat overburdened, but explained to people,”It is not an specific science” when estimating the quantity of space (dimensions of truck) to rent for the transfer. Are not they supposed to function as specialists?!?!?! They wish to charge us an additional $5,500 to bring down the rest of our possessions sitting at our garage in NY. Obviously, we will not be using them again, plus we also recommend that you don’t both
