Back in Feb 2018, my husband and I signed on with CH International Van Lines, located in Fort Pierce, FL, to transfer us from MA to WA. We weren’t advised that this firm was a broker who’d employ another firm to really move us. We talked at length to David Traina, moving over a comprehensive list of things we’d be moving. He delivered me a quotation in the amount of $6941.05. The estimated quantity was 1472 cu ft. The price was $3.36 each cu feet and a few fixed prices (binding fee/flat speed, fuel surcharge). I paid a deposit in the sum of 1933. Additionally, I informed David that I wished to possess the CH International Vanlines transfer my 2010 Honda Insight. He lent me a price of $900. We were advised that we’d get a telephone call about 3 days before our move out of quality assurance (John Harris) to cover the list of things being transferred and also to answer any queries we had. Early in the week of June 11th, I phoned customer support concerning the vehicle. I had been told at the point that there was no listing of this car being transferred. I was later told that the automobile could be transferred by a different partner firm for $1300. I dropped to have my car transferred by that organization and found a respectable automobile transport company. Our movement was scheduled for June 14th or 15th, 2019. When I first spoke with John Harris the week of June 11th, he and I went on my list of things. There were several additions and deletions in the first list that, in my estimation, balanced each other out. He gave me a brand new volume quote of 2029 cu feet and a brand new quotation of $10732.60. Besides this growth depending on the cubic footage, additional fees that we’d been advised were flat prices were raised also. John also advised me that I would have to pay another deposit depending on the greater estimate although there wasn’t any mention of this in the initial contract. Given that the movement was scheduled to take place in about 3 times, I felt like I had no other alternative. I paid a second deposit in the sum of $2268.73.
The week of June 11th, I received a telephone call from Sal, from Direct Movers, LLC. I hadn’t ever heard of the business before then. Sal asked me if I could change my moving date on June 13th (a day earlier than intended ) to ensure his driver, Sahid, could not need to return into New Jersey (where the organization is established ) between two moves. I questioned him first about his organization and how they were associated with CH International Vanlines. This was the very first time that I started to understand that CH International Vanlines was only a broker. The movers came on June 13th with a truck which was already partially filled and they had been not able to match our things in the vehicle. They needed to find a different motor vehicle. After the car was loaded, we had been advised that the quantity was 3400 cu feet and the new overall price was 18271. I questioned that the cubic footage but that I could not affirm that the # was incorrect because there was so much else at the truck. I contested a few different charges and has been given a small discount. The last price was $17261. I told the motorist Sahid, that I totally disagreed with the price and I even called CH International Vanlines and talked with customer support and John Harris. Again, very similar to earlier in the week, I believed I had no option. I had to either pay the cash or have the movers unload the truck with all of my things.
On June 28th, another moving firm, AJ Express, Inc, delivered our things. The motorist, Ruston, came with a 57 feet long truck. He explained and showed us that our things were packaged quite effectively in the front third of the motor vehicle. I measured the length, width, and height of the part of the automobile and calculated 1455 cu feet (18.5 feet x 9.25 ft x 8.5 feet ). This amount was significantly less than the initial sum borrowed back in February of 2018.
Thus, I am considering $17261 (sum paid) – 6941.05 (sum borrowed ) = $10319.95 as a refund. I’ve sent this petition to both CH International Vanlines and Immediate Movers, LLC with no gratification. There was also damage done to things which weren’t protected well by the movers in MA.
Don’t use this organization! They’re con artists! They’ll get one to proceed with their solutions by providing you a very low estimate then they are going to bump up the cost. In my situation they were incorrect with the fall off time AND ruined my tv. Don’t rely on them!
I agree with all one-star reviews here. I’ve waited for many weeks to tell my story regarding these THIEVES!
We’d reserved using a broker called”PRESIDENTIAL VAN LINES”
For our transfer to GA from NH. We have a fantastic price which comprised storage for two months. We sold our home and had our agent, PRESIDENTIAL VAN LINES organize the transfer date to coincide with the final. Well, 1 week prior to closure we receive a call from a inspector that informs me PRESIDENTIAL VAN LINES is moving out of business with all our deposit however he can move us punctually. It gets better, once I called the agent he explained it had been sour grapes from a disgruntled sub-contractor. So, who would you think? I, sadly, stuck together with the agent who called me two days before our relocation to state he had been attempting to hook us up with a mover truck. REALLY! Our booking and $2,000 deposit has been created 3 weeks before. It ends up”DIRECT MOVERS” did appear on time nevertheless, this is where it becomes soooo bad. After the truck has been loaded we had been advised we had more fat than the agent told them so that the cost went from $4,500 to $13,000!! Regrettably, It becomes much worse. After we bought a home we phoned them to deliver that in and of itself was a nightmare! When they came and opened the doors there was broken glass, marred tables and lots of lost things such as boxes of very good things never to be seen again. You see whether in storage for a month and a half that they uttered what they thought we would not overlook. Bookcases gone, my 72″ flat screen TV smashed and innumerable other things a lot to mention. There response to all this was only”only function here” but we’ve got insurance. REALLY, I needed to experience a claim firm who took 4 weeks to assess my claim and developed a grand total thanks me of READY… $298.06. Plus they’ve no more to do with whatever stating the firm has the quote of which the plumber has to accept and write the test. What a joke! I wish it had been funny but it’s far from it. If they have your cash and possessions they have you completely. And, they know it and prey on it. They understand they control you are getting from a marketed home and getting you from a hotel room waiting to put you to your new residence. These people are ruthless thieves!!!! Like many thieves they operate in concert with one another. The trio I’d was”PRESIDENTIAL VAN LINES”,(The Broker), CSI (the appraiser), AND DIRECT MOVERS OUT OF N.J. (the [EDIT] of all)
Check out them on Better Business Bureau. I really wish I had.
I took the opportunity to write this to you and I hope you’re spared by my composing.
Here is the largest SCAM of all times. Booked with Moving forward that allegedly dispatched out to Immediate Movers. We were not told that this was the way they functioned. We needed to make a deposit by credit card, then two certified tests, 1 at time of loading and another at the time of delivery. We were initially told it could be by weight, and then the movers stated cubic feet. The movers later loading all of the furniture offered us a completely different story about price and delivery date. It has been more than two weeks and we only discovered that all our possessions are sitting at a storage building at West Virginia, exactly the identical state they filled up all out furniture. We’re suppose to have shipping now!! Our possessions have been in West Virginia and we all reside in Nebraska. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, It’s A SCAM!!!
My moving agent, Gold Standard Relocation organized this particular inspector. This firm loaded the truck, demanded additional CASH and then dumped my possessions into a warehouse. Then, rather than moving my things, bid outside the true move to some random man who rented a UHaul and functioned immediately. In the event you use this business expect to pay money requirements, have all ruined, and also have a HORRIFIC transfer. Additionally, they do not answer telephone calls either. It is a nightmare and that I expect that the Condition or NJ functions. In addition they do business since New Hope Movers
I reserved this this company back in February called super celebrity van lines. I obtained a quote for $1746.97. For my own move.
I had been told I needed to cover a $400 deposit after I signed up the contact that I paid with my debit card on the internet. They said I needed to pay half once the movers came and half when they dropped off my items in California. I had been told I just could pay money order or cash, and so I got a money order and made it outside to guide movers llc the business they work with since they’re agents and neglected to share this info.
When they arrived in my home it was a new business called Immediate vaccinations. The mover explained I was considering $4000 for my own movement and I said no, this isn’t the amount I agreed to. Then he said if I paid him 2800 now that it was a fantastic thing. I said no this wasn’t what I consented to that is the reason why I just have the cash for stated amount. He asked me how far can I give him and I told him that this had been it, the 674.
I’ve an image of this BLANK contract he set together at my home that I should have never signed up.
Since my contract is by weight that he explained that they were gont take it to their own centre to burden it. That I really do not trust. Then he texts me saying I’ve 4040lbs of things I said no way! He asked me how did I know just how much my substance weighed. I informed him I had a 1 bedroom flat, I knew they were trying to con me afterward. I was so angry and asked if I need to find legal assistance and he said proceed maybe they could help me cover my move! It was so unprofessional!
I talked to a woman with super celebrity van lines right afterwards and she promised to call me back but never did and they won’t return my telephone and also her mailbox is currently complete.
Dan from celebrity van traces never returned my messages. He was the guy I talked with initially.
That is when it becomes mad. It is said that they are nearly here in order to deliver my things with no actual notice, and so I went to meet them in my storage device. I had the cash orders of $1500 prepared but had been advised to get them sign a receipt stating I had been paying the initial balance and that the additional $800 I intended to dispute. They refused to sign it and got super mad broke the gate in the storage device and left along with my items. I told the woman at the moving business I’d medical equipment about the vehicle and her reply was” you ought to have thought about that before you decided to play with games and today you’ll pay more and wrapped.
They emailed me saying I owe them $2600 for re delivery and I am attempting to get in touch with a lawyer. I had been in the hospital yesterday because of my lost medical equipment. They don’t care about individuals or client support and shouldn’t be operating this organization.
If these firms were upfront it’d give individuals the chance to get ready for changes but only making up reasons as to why I must pay said amount isn’t perfect.
They contracted my transfer out to 2 distinct businesses so today 3 firms are interested in being compensated at my cost. They’ve continued to make up reasons why they changed the cost each time that I speak to them. Don’t Use SUPERSTAR VAN LINES OR DIRECT MOVERS OR ANY COMPANY ASSOCIATED WITH THEM. They also change their titles on yelp to steer clear of bad reviews!!
It’s very clear our material was stolen. I ought to have recognized that this was a scam. Thinking back into going day, all of the indications were there that it is a scam and also under stress, we proceeded ahead. We’re so ruined. Today we must attempt and place the bits of our own life back together again after dropping what we possessed. Perhaps 1 day some of it’s going to appear.
Don’t utilize Actual MovING (they utilize Pure MovERS title and testimonials )–the agent who cheated us or Direct Movers – the people who stole our materials.
1. They’re a hired by agents like CH International, unbeknownst to you, the Customer
2. Bait & switch pricing, you receive one price then another Individual calls to”affirm” and you also get another cost, then the movers come & there is another cost
4. Only accept cash or Vinmo into the motorist
5. Loaded fragile boxes in the bottom of the truck and smashed them
6. The delivery driver was rude and though we consented certain things could be left out, he attracted them in instead, requiring me to deliver out them. When confronted, he advised me not to speak to him like a servant.
7. Delivery driver told me that they do not understand what is in my boxes even if they are labelled delicate.
8. Furniture was ruined profusely
9. Treadmill was torn apart & draining oil when delivered
10. Customized lamp color was shredded
11. BBQ Grill was flexed so that the sides hang and also the wheels will not turn
12. Things are still missing two months following the move was finished
13. Can not return calls, emails or texts asking a paid in full receipt or upgrades on missing items
14. Drivers did not Appear for transfer till 6pm on the day of and were within my home until 3am
15. They certainly hold your transfer ransom for more cash as outlined in different reviews.
Worst proceeding experience! This firm sent 3 men who had been a day and a half late, and you strove to shake me down for about $ 5,000 in money and advised me to not call anyone or he’d walk out on me and leave me stranded with no inspector in the last moment! Since I needed to grab an airport and had no option, I snapped a price tag, plus they”dropped” my items inside their truck. They ended up providing my items 3 months later than that which they had promised! They broke/dented/scratched each bit of furniture! Nearly all my boxes have been sent damaged, ripped and dented. It’s possible to wind up better movers compared to that!
This one-star is actually a (-10)-star score.
The moving agent I contracted with hired Direct Programs, also that I did not understand it before it was too late (they’d my nephew’s items about the vehicle and required $1500 in money ). I would not have hired Immediate Movers. . .their evaluations are awful (read another peoples’ reviews. . .they’re correct on!) .
The cost estimate for the transfer ($2300) from the moving agent was predicated on lbs., however somewhere (about the vehicle I suppose ) it shifted to four feet (cf) and somewhere between NY and NM that the cf became 1000 cf.. .even. We never did receive a true burden or cf dimensions as my nephew’s possessions were blended up with other peoples’ possessions and DM stated it would not be possible. I understand today that his possessions fit within an 8’x10′ storage device using the initial 4 feet vacant and it is not filled to the surface, therefore 1000 cf? Even? And that was suppose to be more fat!
But over this has been holding my nephew’s possessions hostage when they had been on the vehicle. “Invest in money or money order for us or we’ll continue to keep his things.” I paid with (I needed to use cc direct deposit in dreadful rates) direct cable for the initial $1500 (I did not even know I needed to cover ), and was suppose to cover $1500 if the stuff came. But that amount climbed to $5000 while on-route, negotiated with the moving agent to $2000 and payable in money by us to 1600. No matter I was not advised by the agent I would be committing anything in money, direct cable, money order, etc..
The entire movement was suspect to be 2300. . .all charge card since I did not have money. The transfer cost around $4000, also at once was around over $8K, but whining, arguing, negotiating functioned somewhat. I did receive a 100% refund against the agent, but I am still out $3100 or real weight or cf dimension (s).
Incidentally, I attempted to acquire local law enforcement assistance using a civilian cop, if his possessions came in NM, but they would not intervene at a”civil matter”. That civil issue nearly turned into a criminal attack matter if his possessions came, but we’d witnesses with us videotaping the whole negotiating/unloading processes. Therefore there were only heated conflicts and dangers.
The complaints I have against that business do not stop with only the slides, prohibited (extortion, et al) strategies. . .how about being known as an”idiot” from the service provider.
The strategies utilized by this inspector tend to be more than civil offenses, they are offender in my thoughts. However, because every one of us is just out a couple thousand bucks, selecting a lawyer is not worth it/an choice. Collectively, we can likely file a class-action or some sort of lawsuit. Getting my cash could be secondary to placing this business from business, also wishfully trusting, the owners at the slammer for awhile.
The terror! Devastation! Hysterics! Hospitalized!
$7,000 to get molded, filthy, nothing and destroyed. Took them over 2 mos. To provide,”be there tomorrow 9 a.m.” 9:30 comes, no pun, no 4, currently 6 pm oh we thought you were somebody else. Tomorrow, this went on for 20 days. Truck injury (they said) wrapped in Nevada, complete loss. Local hires stated that whatever wasn’t broken, the driver/asst broke it coming truck off. I didn’t sign anything. Nobody replies telephone. Conservative assert $140,000 refused by Sal, the operator.
Safebound Logistics has been the agent. Let’s determine if they’ll help, there’s still hope throughout the agent. Otherwise, start looking for my review there in a few weeks.
