The SHUTTLE that should visit your house/apartment since you don’t reside on a highway rest area (actually the only places they say are available by an 18 wheeler) – they will cost you $1 PER CUBE about the pickup AND DELIVERY. I climbed to the shipping truck when they emptied all of my belongings and quantified it as 1100 cu feet – they billed me for 1500 cubic feet, so I paid $3000 in addition to the first $2500 estimate only with this”shuttle”. . .when the salesperson told me NO CHARGE for the shuttle. In searching for a box that they dropped, I talked with a rude girl in their client support who did not appear to understand nearly anything about the firm itself and hung me up when I wanted to talk with her supervisor. I got shuttled about on the telephone from person to person and even though them locating my box and requesting me to stay home daily for delivery, and they never showed up. They’ve now asked me to appear in a location where they’re moving somebody else to pick the box up myself. Because how can they have been bothered to send me the box that they dropped in the first location? Obviously.

This is my worst experience with any business in history, palms down, and I have dealt with some fairly dreadful businesses (credit rating bureaus, student loan creditors ).

FIRST and above all, they will rip off you and arm and a leg. They do this at a couple of primary ways:

1) Shuttle service charges – both in pickup and delivery, and they will claim they require a so-called’shuttle truck’ for to your speech, and cost an additional $1/cu feet EACH WAY for it. They will do so regardless of whatever you have discussed or been guaranteed ahead. The sales rep I talked with (Greg Johnson) asserted me on several occasions I would not require a shuttle – that I even had him test out the particular speeches – all to no avail. Once I named the business at least 3-4 times throughout the pickup to protest them, they said they would perform an evaluation but that I’d need to pay the charge up front anyhow, and perhaps get it reimbursed later. It has now been more than a month because pickup and fourteen days because delivery, and naturally I have not heard a word from them regarding the investigation.

2) Inventory overage speed – you will become lent an appealing rate per cubic feet (mine was $2.52/ / cu feet ), however beware. Buried in the small print of this very long contract that they force one to sign is just one single mention of a”total price rate, seven bucks p/cf”. This usually means any quantity on daily within the estimated quantity on your quotation – not things, quantity, which can be harder that you quantify – can price you more SEVEN DOLLARS, $1 per cubic feet, almost 3 times the quoted speed. At no stage did the sales rep ever mention that at all. Actually, you might be tempted to attempt and pay down the quoted quantity (I definitely did) since you feel that means you will get billed less – but they are more than pleased to allow you to do that since they will only bill you for overage rather at a much faster rate. It is a clear lie of willful omission.

3) Extra fees – that they can give you some’long haul’ fee when your doorway is not anywhere near the street. Alright, that is not too ridiculous, but carrying things further requires more effort. They will also charge a commission for extra floors over the 2nd. That sounds fair also – but wait patiently. They specify each flooring as SEVEN STEPS. So in the event the 2nd floor of your residence is over just 7 steps up from the very first, they will consider that an excess flooring and bill you for this. In case your 3rd floor is 14 measures over your 2nd, they will consider that the next two additional floors. This is absurd – I challenge you to locate a construction which has a ground 7 ordinary actions or less over the one under it!

Plus ruined boxes – I’ve got a whole lot of moving boxes whom I’ve reused for numerous movements to steer clear of waste which have been somehow only wrapped up. And never a word of apology to some of the harm in any way.

THIRD, they are not in any respect punctual. For my pickup, I had been given a first arrival window of 10 am to noon, and after several telephone calls and lots of waiting, they ended up arriving in 5.30 pm. So that has been lots of unnecessary pressure and running in the daytime. But that is nothing on what occurred with shipping. I predicted a couple of days prior to my delivery date to check on the status and had been told that they could not verify anything until the afternoon before. The afternoon before, I phoned again and was told they would get in contact later in the afternoon. (They did not.) The following day, Tuesday – that the date my delivery was agreed for – that I called a couple times, progressively exasperated, and maintained getting stonewalled. They stated they could not inform me if my materials would be sent, and it might take as long as 21 days. Since I had been sitting at a totally empty house with hardly the top in my back, this was not welcome news. Following a good deal more back-and-forth they advised me it’d probably be delivered sometime on the weekend, however, they still couldn’t say when. You have the picture. Finally, from the blue, I got a phone on Wednesday stating my things would be sent on Thursday – neither the afternoon I had requested, nor even the afternoon that they finally told me that the delivery could be. In the long run I spent three days sitting at an empty house without a increasingly exasperating telephone calls for business.

FOURTH, they are not actually’full support’ because they assert. I had meticulously labelled each and every thing and box with all the space in my house which it was destined for. P.S. in the event you’re thinking, there are plenty of great reviews and just a couple bad ones, certainly I will not be that unlucky – do not make this error. The movers came on August 21 at 6:30pm. I’d packed my possessions well however, the movers had been slamming boxes on the floor which I’d marked as”brittle” and turning them upside down. I discovered glassware crashing. The movers were spitting inside my residence. They informed me that I”looked as though I was 22 years old” and kept asking where my boyfriend was. They kept asking when I dwelt alone since it seemed like”something else dwelt there.” That’s none of the business but frankly I do not understand what they intended since it’s a little flat and I hardly had some furniture. Perhaps it was because they thought I looked too young also live there independently, or they had been likely to scam me.They were angry with me that I didn’t have water to provide them. This is classic bait and switch that’s illegal. It isn’t my fault if CCM gives incorrect quotes over the telephone when I report everything properly. At minimum this should be adjusted prior to loading.

The tools which the movers needed I borrow out of the neighbors were left strewn around my floor. In addition they knocked a massive chunk of my walls outside which they didn’t mention and I’ve included a photo of.

At 9:30am on Aug 22 CCM called me for comments on the pickup. I advised them all of these things. They explained they’d be reporting to the manager. They advised me to call customer support that I did 1 800 755 6581 ext 3. I had been told I had been talking to the Client Service Supervisor. She’d the report I’d given before. I had been told it would take 24-48 hours to allow them to get the report by the movers and then they would call me. At 4:30pm I got an email quotation for $1,938.35. I don’t understand where this figure came out.
I want this resolved asap as I start work in my new job at Pittsburgh 8/27 and want my possessions.

On Aug 23 at 9am Ashley from CCM phoned me and said I had to transport a quickpay sum of 538 or the delivery wouldn’t be scheduled. I did so immediately. She stated she’d speak with her supervisors about my situation and get back to me until the closing of business.

At 12:45 I had been called back. CCM explained that the movers are”moving professionals” and understand what they’re doing and understand how to compute the cubic feet. She said they used lots of additional packing stuff that they did not even charge me for to keep things secure??? So I must be glad I was not billed for that. She had been really rude on the phone said I could file a claim afterwards. Said I’d be emailed within 24 hours of the shipping and I would owe the rest balance in money. She couldn’t account for the itemized discrepancies and just repeated that they are professionals and that I had”a lot of things.”

In case their movers are professionals and able to eyeball cubic feet, why did they not inform me prior to loading? Why does CCM give quotes over the telephone if they are not accurate?

They left 25 percent of our things on the yard and left garbage everywhere. We needed to spend $1200 on a uhaul to choose the remainder of our stuff and needed to throw off $4000 worth of appliances and furniture we couldn’t match or physically move ourselves.

With no other option now, I pumped Coburn the remaining balance.

My buddy had to get the furniture because we had been outside of town. June 5, 2012 I had been anxious and centered on previous experienes with different companies not quite optimistic that all goes well. I could honestly say I was amazed from the moment that the driver Felix along with his helper [I do not recall his name], arrived. They have been on time and courteous and extremely professional. I stood back in amazement and watched them pain stakenly take their time with every product, wraping our proceeds as though they had been theirs. I am certain that we were not their only clients of this day but you’ve not understood it seeing with the patience and attention they demonstrated with our furniture. From start to end they all exemplified what it seems like when somebody has a feeling of pride in the way they perform their job. They had been incredibly patient with my spouse as she guided them regarding how she wanted items set. Never revealing signs of frustration and impoliteness. If requesting her if she was certain and when she desired items put differently. I’m not impressed easily but I could truly say I had been was astonished and pleased with their job and the customer support in the very beginning, beginning with the workplace and end with all the gentlemen mentioned previously. I’d suggest them to anybody and clearly if I ever find myself needing this kind of service again Cross country shifting is that will find the calls. I tip generously when I’m Happy with any Kind of service, they deserved every cent and much more.

I used the support a week and was content with the way things were transferred. 3 powerful guys showed up and packed my things with caution and then proceeded and organized all as instructed. Overall very good support. Can recommed to others. Value for cash and honoured whatever has been guaranteed. Will utilize the service again when needed.

We’re doubtful about finding a plumber on the internet. 3 places that I predicted never even responded back and several others clearly had submitted their”testimonials” themselves.  I filed a request for quotation online using Cross country going and has been advised to anticipate a reply in 24-48 hours. Considering we had been in a hurry, I decided to go ahead and call and that I discovered that our quotation was nearly complete, only 5 minutes following our entry. The move itself went well. There were a couple of damaged items (a little lamp, a couple nicks to things here and there) but that I can not say I have ever transferred and had nothing occur. Thumbs up.

After having my spouse push a 20 foot truck filled with our belongings countless miles during rainstorms, hills, and also to not mention a crying toddler, I understood I’d be in no mood to complete this truck after I got to our new residence. It did not help that I had my very own apartment filled with things from Teaneck that had to be transferred. I phoned up Cross country going, informed them the bargain, and they gave me a deal.  When the day finally came, the team wasn’t waiting for us to overthrow the truck which took me a day and a half to load. THEN they filled the truck with all the things in my previous apartment here in DE, and hauled it to the new flat. I will not lie: I had been astonished. I certainly suggest these movers. They came when they said they’d (actually before ), and so were more efficient, friendly, and fairly priced. You can not ask for anything apart out of movers. Well worth the cash.

Cross country moving did a fantastic job managing all of my fragile and precious products.  Sometimes you have the impression that your movers are in fact felons playing dress up. This was not true with Cross country going. Each of the workers helping me proceed were professional and accommodating.  They came on time, were fast about figuring out logistics (what things to do first, last, etc.), and they’re the only firm I predicted that has been prepared to provide me a level rate.I’ve used other movers earlier but they have never finished the job with the quickness and efficiency that Winter’s did. I expect (crossing my fingers) that I will not need them again anytime soon, but who understand in this mad town. At least now I know who to phone.

A skeptic in mind, I had been loath to enter into any arrangement with a moving business. I did what many individuals do, I went online, made a guess about the stock and then received quotations from”the very best and cheapest” providers. After fielding 40 calls, I reasoned that the wolves were in the doorway. I reasoned the business is cut throat.

I opted to return to the fundamentals and that I called moving companies which were rated high and had good customer responses.
From the beginning, my involvement with all Cross country moving was extremely optimistic, actually mythical. Dean (the proprietor ) met me in the transfer website; he had been on time and provided me an specific quote for my own move. In addition, he provided excellent advice on other problems (storage area etc). On Friday afternoon, Dean and his team were on site and implemented perfectly. Actually, Dean not only directed the team, but also packaged and transported the furniture. Understandably not his first priority when conducting a company but any fantastic boss, boss, boss, supervisor etc, he got in the trenches with his troops. He and his staff got 5 stars on going day.

In conclusion, Cross country moving exceeded my own expectations. I’m a massive fan of Dean and his group. On time, good communication, easy and certainly no surprises.

We’re 100% happy with the service given by Cross country going from begin to finish. Absolutely NO hidden charges plus they had been realistic with the quantity of time it’d require.

The movers were respectful and looked very presentable and functioned as if they needed to be present. They came and hit the floor running, as I filled out paper work together with the guide another inspector got things rolling.

They supplied us with 5 free apparel boxes and did not cost anything extra for transferring materials.

They took good care in handling all of our possessions and also did it at a really timely way.

Next time I’ve got a neighborhood move there’s absolutely not any question that I am using them again.

Just finished a transfer in Hoboken, NJ to Colorado- could not have been improved. Cross country going made my transfer SO simple!! It had been actually seamless. We obtained the packaging and packaging service too…I could not believe how quickly and how well packaged everything was! I am still getting over just how good of a movement it was. The movers showed up directly in the center of the two-hour entrance window, and this was terrific. They have been friendly, worked quickly and difficult, and had my own Jersey City studio transferred to some storage at Massachusetts. Not something was broken or scraped nor was anything else at the flat or building shared areas ruined. I was quite ready with everything boxed but they took appropriate care with wrap my furniture, that was the sole thing I hadn’t done in advance. I tipped several hundred dollars since they worked their butts off and left the process really simple and easy.

Moving can be a grueling experience but Cross country moving made my encounter really agreeable. These men made my move the very best experience possible.

They transfer me in NJ to NC. Three capable men showed up and started hauling numerous boxes out in their backs while I was still frantically packing up things. They never got upset I was so cluttered, forcing them to move around mini-messes scattered round the home. They were considerate, friendly, and talkative, that was fine, considering we invested quite a little time together.

When they came at NJ, they hauled all of my things into my new flat just as fast and economically as they had hauled it from my older one. They re-assembled my mattress and a couple of pieces of furniture effortlessly, and on top of that, fast (important once you’re paying by the hour).

And allow me to tell you, these men do the job. They did not screw around, they did not take breaks (before I pushed them to — it had been so sexy ), and they were very careful with my items.
