Our retirement dream quickly turned into a nightmare for this Corporation. It began with a leased U-Haul using NOTHING for a complete package movement. . .and went downhill from there. 83 pages of photographs of broken items. I have been chasing a claim for over 18 weeks and still no fix. I was informed today that Continental Vanlines no more exists!!!!! Live and learn. . .do your study!!! I’ve not ever been treated with much more lies, disrespect and deceit within my whole life!!
Slimming down — the very dishonest, untrustworthy, poor, and inefficient moving business on the marketplace. Please, do me and get your self a favor by taking your business elsewhere. Additionally, please bear in mind that this movement happens with two kids below the age of 2, along with a pregnant spouse as a result of our third kid being overpowering influenced the whole period our ordeal went on. We also needed to invest a great deal of cash to re install our flight programs, I had to miss out 3 consecutive days of effort, and we needed to cover our landlord additional for jogging over our rental for a consequence of Continental’s egregious incompetence and lack of maintenance. Shameful these individuals can conduct any type of business whatsoever; they just result in pain and harm to people who use their services. This firm could not have been more useful while we’re working throughout the first contract. They would call us back, give us moving hints, and speak frequently on email. Next, after having our 950 deposit, things started to change. We originally signed our contact on 5/30/13, using a estimated moving date of Tuesday, June 25th. We had been confident at the start that the movers and truck are around the 25th and we’d be given a telephone 5-days beforehand that all was prepared to go. On Sunday, June 23 we still hadn’t heard a note from the movers, therefore we chose to reach ourselves out to find confirmation. We emailed, known as…and, nothing. No reply whatsoever from anybody. Transferring day, June 25th comes about…without a movers or truck are in our house. Worse however, not just one telephone call or email by anybody at Continental Van Lines Inform us that there has been a delay. No call, no show. We keep and continue to predict the number we had been given, rather than receive a response. Wednesday, June 26th comes around and again, no call/no reveal by Continental. I predict sending again 11 days in the early hours, eventually get a response from a individual and’m told they’ll call me back shortly. Each day passes, and that I never received a call back using a status upgrade. I continued calling different numbers I found on their site, and now we could talk with a person in their own company, eventually — that happened to be our first salesman called John (at Houston). He asserts he has absolutely no clue what’s happening with our accounts and is completely helpless in receiving our scenario rectified. He promises to explore the issue and return my phone after that day. Again, all day moves, and John never returns my phone call. Thursday, June 27th comes and once more, no truck or movers is in my residence. I talk with Kyle for a very long time begging to get an upgrade, desperate for answers and reasons regarding why they’re treating us so unbelievably poorly. I beg to consult with a supervisor to receive replies, I need to know how they might have screwed up our move so poorly. Now, I’m in my 3rd straight day off work and our house’s rental is formally going to perish. We’re approaching a very difficult deadline, and nobody from Continental seems effective at providing me direct talk or supplying answers. 1 dispatcher even had the audacity to say to me on June 27th,”Well, uh, somebody’s father died a week, that is exactly what the issue was.” As soon as I pressed her for information about this passing she confessed it was not correct. What’s that for customer support?! Then I had been passed on Tom at Operations who stated he’d devote all day Thursday attempting to acquire a truck for use for our relocation that was now seemingly scheduled for Friday, June 28th. To recap: Tuesday, June 25: No phone, no Display Wednesday, June 26: No phone, no Display Thursday, June 27: Without a display, Guarantee that a vehicle will be prepared by Friday June 28 Then on the day of June 27, I receive a telephone call from Tom saying that he was not able to procure a truck to get Friday’s transfer…this all, and he also expects me to feel sorry to HIM. Never once did they admit just how much pain, anguish, and annoyance over the last week of missing deadlines and creating false guarantee that lasted to be broken up over, and over, and over, and over again. Here’s the very best part, however. When talking with Tom and begging for replies, I request to talk with his General Manager. Though I’d requested Kyle and Tom several occasions to talk with their supervisor without ever getting anywhere I guessed it was worth a shot. This time, it really worked. I managed to talk with someone called Craig who informed me that he had been the GM, and that he then had the audacity to ask me exactly what was so significant that I left him leave his assembly to talk about… Consider that for a single second. Let that procedure. His firm fails to appear, neglects to phone , fails to convey, also fails to fulfill their contract within the span of an whole week — entirely RUINING my loved ones transfer and inducing us tens of thousands of dollars in changing our agenda around to adapt his business’s failures….and he believes I’m inconveniencing HIM. That is the kind of people we are dealing with this. Following a heated conversation in which I need to know what’s happened to our accounts and why his people have failed us so badly and place my whole family in this terrible place, Craig hangs me up. Their GM hung up on me rather than talking to me personally. Then he promptly calls me back and says that his business is not able to assist us and won’t be operating on our accounts no more. HE BROKE OUR CONTRACT, afterwards All of the HELL HE PUT US THROUGH…he also broke out our contract also said good fortune. Now, it is Thursday evening, and we all don’t have any way to receive our belongings to our new residence in the Midwest. After being strung together for more than a month, and all but ignored, trampled on, and abandoned around weekly, we don’t have any means of getting our items home. All since the haughty, arrogant, and unsuccessful workers at Continental neglected to carry out one portion of our relocation then stop on us without even helping in any manner, form or shape. Our lease runs upward in 2 weeks, and we still have yet to be able to discover a different moving company who will assist us in this brief quantity of time. Simply speaking, we are totally and completely stuck. We’ll finally must pay tens of thousands more in transferring expenses, warehousing expenses, and trip prices all because Continental neglected us so completely. Please, please, please — look at other testimonials on this site and many others…it is all the exact same. They screw over their clients on a standard basis and therefore are definitely the most unprofessional outfit on the marketplace. Don’t expect a word that they say, nor place your faith in these to move your possessions. They could not do the perfect thing for a stranded family with two children and expectant wife — what exactly makes you believe that they will do exactly the ideal thing for youpersonally?
Here really is actually the worst moving experience I’ve ever had and the worst man I’ve ever had to cope with about a move. Gregg Caruso with Continental is a [EDIT]. He moves this spill about the way they’re the ideal company and each other moving firm is horrible and does not have appropriate licensing, blah, blah, blah. He’s rude and arrogant, so making guaranteed he can’t keep. I picked this company because I only wanted to quit appearing. Turns out my movement is scheduled for Friday, May 4, only kidding!! The truck was complete. We can move you on Saturday, May 5 Gregg Caruso states. LIAR. He never even called to tell me they could not transfer me. I had to call and email him and he then just softly says, sorry we can not move you till Wednesday!!! What?! I received my money back out of my residue thank goodness. Whatever you do, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY. I wound up moving with Atlas and they’ve been wonderful. It’s a shame moving needs to be such an unpleasant encounter and then you throw a”know it all” such as Gregg in the mixture and it makes you want to never go to start with. STAY Away From Continental!!!
Most unethical moving business. They speak to you quite sweet when providing you estimate and accepting deposit. Then they simply don’t care abour clients. They lie and so are dishonest. I felt as though using most of abusve laguage but commanded my temper. I’m imagining that few great review were composed by them selves. PLEASE DON’T USE THIS COMPANY.
I had some issue with my first contact. Seems he did not possess everything together. When I spoke with the purported officer manager, Greg, he said he would take my contract and that I could call him some moment and he would look after it. Right! Could not return telephone calls or Emails. 1 excuse was that he was out ill. Ok, does all stop because one individual is ill? I had been told the people who want to pick up my furniture will be in uniforms and also have ID’s. The afternoon the moving firm showed up, it was a sub contractor. Ross trucking from North Carolina has been the truck that showed up. The 2 men were fantastic. Gusted their butts to get the work done but the very first thing they needed me to sign was a”CONTRACT” that their firm gave them for reimbursement for their great job. It had been requesting 15 to 20 percent of the price of this job. The business drafted up that bargain, what a sham. They were not in uniforms, no ID’s, just thing which made it possible was the simple fact that they needed a copy of the contract and that I got the telephone man at Continental to support it. Along with the communications together with Ross (was among the owners) was quite upsetting. He even expressed anger at the fact I contested his replies to my queries. There have been too many replies which didn’t add up so yes, so I asked questions and he got insulted. Too bad for him. I’d hope someone could take this organization and look carefully at their manner of conducting business. Not only Continentalbut Ross trucking also.
Business was quite unprofessional. Negligent handling of furniture. Dip some furniture facing us and ensured that Insurance will insure it. In the conclusion, they conceal other harm things before I paid them everything. Subsequently the location them where they needed and left without even giving us opportunity to scrutinize. I’ve been coping with their insurer”Claims Adjusting Firm”. The total of those damages according to insurance (actual or replacement value could be far higher) was 480. They provide $48. I stated that it wasnt okay and they refused to rethink. My lawyer wrote a letter to the insurance and then they send me an mail which they won’t longer insure Continental Van Lines. I’ve attempted to get them but they’re quite disrespectful and final time that they hang the phone up on me.
Our move went fine. We were really assisting the movers unload the whole truck load because he had just 1 helper!
Finally sheriff broke a 3/4 inch thick dining room dining table glass. Shattered into pieces. I filed a promise last June, 2012. It’s currently February 2013 and also NO NEWS… Nothing! I’m getting so fed up!
This is the worst going experience I’ve ever had. I have served in the army and needed to proceed more than 20 days throughout my career and have not had such a terrible experience. To start with the contract I signed anticipated that the fees in $1,991.80 along with the last invoice was $2,760.00. I had been overcharged for services which were already contained in the contract for extended haul motion. Subsequently I was guaranteed delivery from June 14, 2012 and failed to get my furniture before June 16, 2012. The movers shrink wrapped my sofa and I had been told it’d be a $45 charge. When my last invoice was introduced I was billed $145. Then the very long haul fee was $75 that was inserted again to the last bill. As my furniture came I needed to pay $328 longer to accomodate delivery in my flat to the shift in trucks. I needed to call unique individuals at least 40 distinct times within the week of shipping to acquire information. My bedframe was lost along with the boxes were crushed and mistreated throughout the dispatch. I really don’t understand how this company stays in business. I’ll have nothing to do with those folks again.
The movers were scheduled to pick involving 8AM – 9AM. They came by 1pm. They offered me 5 hrs of labour after giving a comprehensive collection of all items in the house. They appear in (uniform) baggy cargo shorts and a smelly old firm t-shirt. They showed up with two guys to get a 3 degree 2200 sqft Townhome (should happen to be a three man occupation, but two cost less and demands longer hours, so go figure). It took them 6 hours and 30 mins simply to load the truck along with being overdue by 4 hrs. I had been planning on a three hour loading so that I unloaded the refrigerator and freezer about an hour when they got there. It sat for remainder of the time defrosting and meals spoiling for 5.5 hours until we left. And of course that they treat your own furniture and possessions like crap. They arrive in the unload place by 1AM. As soon as they got there it had been nonstop whining and they were falling things left and straight off the dollys. They broke my duaghter and kid’s toy bins (three of these ) by dropping them off the dollys. It ended up carrying them 5 more hours to unload the vehicle and did not even finish the contract. The contract stated they’d place items in the appropriate rooms and build all of the furniture. It took as long as that I needed to let them place everything at the garage and dont even build the furniture, or else this movement could have obtained alomost 24 hrs. Most items like dressers and shelving and chairs were all scratched. This also contained a couple of pieces of furniture which were not even used. They had been bought and were intended for the new residence. Overall move time ought to have been 10 hours (3 to loading, 5 for driving and two for unloading). The entire period was 22 hrs. This is the worst service I’ve ever recieved from a moving business, and I’ve moved many times in the previous five decades. I had a few broken big image glass and frames , ALL my furniture was scrathed and dented or filthy from being hauled. They had an whole box of pads and just used 4 of these. I needed to assist with all (dissasembling, loading and unloading). I cuaght one employee on his telephone many times during the move speaking to his girlfriend. My wife and children had to sleep at a hotel that night since it took a long time to proceed. We ought to have been completed by 8PM with at least beds setup. I hope that my post isn’t eliminated for exaggerated amounts, as these amounts are real. This is actually the worst moving company ever. I’m a very understanding person in regards to particulars but these individuals are not anything like the description. They were all but personable, uniformed or specialist. I sent them and email telling them I’d like my money back and they’ve yet to respond. I’ll update when I’ve heard different. GUARANTEED PERFECT MOVE MY @$$.
I’m in the process of attempting to recover the expenses necessary to fix my classic heirloom furniture. . .gave me a fantastic sales pitch, Brandon was with me ther complete way. . .assured me these men were competent. . .apparently, they contract out to anyone. . .my 100 yr old sideboard was snapped before they even picked this up. . .scratched and dented most of the furniture….mahogany by the way….broke a brand-new firepit in the transfer….didn’t mention it, simply drove the remaining tiles from the lawn next door….heartbroken. . .STILL waiting to hear from a person who can tell me some thing….looking at legal counsel with this one!
First contact was with Maggie who had been really professional and nice. Movers were scheduled first thing Monday morning and never revealed. I needed to phone them and they informed me that the truck had broken down yesterday (Sunday) but nobody ever contacted me to inform me. The girl I talked to advised me she could search for a different truck or”I could find a different inspector” She wasn’t the least bit apologetic.
I procured another mover since I needed to be out daily. I phoned back Continental to Talk to a supervisor so as to let them know how angry I was and they kept me on hold for 27 minutes and then put me at a voicemail. Later on, I called back again and talked to a supervisor, Sherry. She had been at least sensitive to my situation and informed me I’d get my deposit back and that Tom, the Overall manager/owner would phone me. I never got any calls from Tom.
Sherry did phone me back about 7 hours after to inform me that my deposit will be refunded. I will analyze my credit card bill very carefully.
Given my above experience, I wouldn’t ever use or recommend Continental Van Lines.
The salesman started off nice. . .until pickup day came and that which went out of an agreed upon 2-3 times procedure was now a twelve day”window” with NO warranty of precisely when our possessions would arrive. We had no recourse except to locate an alternative inspector on quite short note and one which will measure up and receive our possessions delivered in a timely way. According to a violation of our conditions from Continental, we needed to cancel and now Continental Van Lines won’t REFUND OUR $2150.00 DEPOSIT. We’ll be taking them to court to recoup our money. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED…
I transferred in MN to NY to your work. I had been told the exact men and women that pack my things are the exact same to fall every off: below! I had been told my quotation was thick so I wouldn’t have any surprise fees: below! My transfer was outsourced to greatest cost moving that are also dreadful! My items were already packed as well as the movers substituted my things in order that they can charge me more for packing. My stuff has been picked up on 9/19/12 and that I had been provided a window of shipping which in the most recent my stuff will be dropped off by 10/12/12: below! After the movers were departing the insisted I offer them a hint and stood me over when they needed I finish the test before they’d leave. My stuff has been placed in storage for 3 weeks. Following weeks of no 1 replying or returning my calls, on 10/13/12, I received a call in the driver that they need to lease a small truck since my street was not large enough to get a semiautomatic: lies! I gave 1156 to get a deposit916 at pickup, 802 was likely to be my equilibrium but I needed to to give $300 longer so that they can rent a little truck. I don’t have that sort of money to just give away. They threaten to place my things back into storage when I could not cover the more compact truck. When I inquired what the reimbursement was to delay in shipping, $25 per day!?!? WTF I have been sleeping on the ground for near a month. I am emotionally tired and physically in pain. Moving is hard enough as it can be, please DO NOT USE CVL OR BEST PRICE MOVING IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR BELONGINGS!
Continental Van Lines/Coral Springs FL didn’t satisfy their contract arrangement. They failed to satisfy their packaging dates or loading dates plus they strove to raise their cost at $900.00. .If we didn’t cover the additional $900.00 that they wouldn’t create the pickup and cancel our contract. That’s what they did. I wouldn’t suggest them to anybody or I wouldn’t ever use them again.
To begin with, the salesman talked a fantastic match in promoting me. They can do a quotation on the telephone and you attempt to detail the things and he informs he’s great at figuring weights on things. Closer to the transfer date, I phoned mover to confirm my transfer date. The QA man responded and that he re-did the stock with me – which he came out to be more about 500lbs over the salesman and also desired an extra $400 down in addition to the $687 I’d originally laid down. Qa man then told me someone or he will contact me that SAT from NOON to validate exact date and time period of this date. That never occurred! I needed to phone them. They informed me that the carrier would phone me the afternoon of approximately 1-2 hrs before pickup, which they did do that. Move was intended 4 weeks ahead of time and an specific date has been given approximately a month or two before actual transfer. I received a call in the”carrier”, Finest Moving Group (Ha! ) ) And called signaled they are a day to day. I refused to listen to this and highlighted that this was unsuitable as the movement has been planned months beforehand. She stated she’d talk to her boss and phone back. She predicted back hours later and said they’d come about the authentic scheduled date but it could be day time. Pretty much that was the sole bright spot in this transfer. After the movers (two men but fairly effective ) showed up that they anticipated the burden to be nearly 1700lbs over advertiser’s quote – Excellent! More cash! Driver stated their firm would phone me with all the new updated cost and real weight. . .never occurred. I needed to phone them and that has been a pursuit – I had troubles getting anybody from either corporation. I had been told from the carrier that they needed a break down and so were gonna be overdue – Sunday instead of Friday as contract gave them an 72 delivery window. I was sitting in my new home for 3 times with nearly nothing, and so I freaked out again on the girl calling out of the carrier. I advised her that I was planning to report the business to the Fed Motor Carriers Safety Assoc along with US DOT and ripped off her around never getting a contingency plan in place with this types of scenario. She again, said she’d speak to manager and phone back, and that she did. She stated they’d be there Sat morn. Meanwhile I’ve tried to get ahold of this mgr of Continental VanLines to no avail however I did receive a rep, who said they’d’compensate’ for the discrepancy in shipping date agreed to real and also to call back after the business arrives. Well, that was saturday and I once again, attempted to telephone Continental to absolutely no avail. I kept calling the main number and then tried a few extensions I’d recalled and eventually some girl answers without mentioning firm name and she subsequently hands telephone to the QA man. I chased him for NOT calling me back when he said he’d about affirmation of the pickup date after which ripped him to be late – he stated he couldn’t do anything since he wasn’t at the workplace and outside in an automobile dealership. I asked that he possess his mgr phone me, that never occurred. The single things damaged were a few dishes/glasses along with a lamp. This business is a joke!!!
Worst moving business on the market. . To begin with if you hear their own recording they’ve been in operation for 50 and 70 decades, just how is it possible? Where to even begin with this firm. There were just two days before picking up my things, giving me reasons they’re late and if they believe they may be there. Ultimately revealed up TWO days late, really did a work occupation picking up my things. Following a week of waiting patiently for my things to be sent out of Florida to Michigan that’s ONLY 20 hours that I had been told I’d be receiving a call in the conclusion of the week. After at the end of the week and they told me exactly the same thing. . FINALLY four months after picking up my things from FL they revealed in MI in 1230 PM!! After unloading everything that there were 3 boxes were lost, a 55′ television missing together with a couple different products. Double checked off the check list if there recorded everything leaving my flat, everything lost WAS NOT checked off if they changed shifting trucks. I wrapped my boxes at a school themed duck tape and that they all over the corners using their particular tape, upon coming my faculty themed tape wasnt there. Questioned them about this and”thats impossible” was providing to me. To create the story short was 3 months of waiting to get a PHONE phone back they said they’d provide me 500 bucks for the television and also isnt lieable for those items missing since I packed them myself!! I really could go on and on about the way horrrible that’SO’ called business is. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANIES WHO HAVE THEIR SH*T TOGETHER
Our experience has been really very dreadful and terrible!!! Continental/Reno Movers almost triple our prices in-route and held our household ransom 4 times before my company agreed to cover. That is following my company and I believed we needed to exceed price arrangement with Continental. Continental Van Lines Relocation Division, Inc 600 NE 28th Ct Number 610, Pompano Beach, FL. Jamison Lewis (Continental Salesman) lied to us and my company. He explained business I had picked them, and unknown to me required down three payments prior to the transfer. He also quoted the total cost of this transfer without sending anybody to walk throughout our house for a firsthand evaluation, stating our prices were predicated on using a dedicated truck which based on the amount of chambers of our house and verbal stock, we wouldn’t completely fill. We had a contract with Continental Van Lines, also unfamiliar to us or my company paying for the transfer, they”sublined” the transfer into Reno Movers (St Louis). The two firms are SCAM musicians!!!! Save yourself and your loved ones by a living nightmare and DO NOT USE CONTINENTAL VAN LINES or even RENO MOVERS. Reno Movers are a set of Croatian Foreign Nations/ Thugs. They broke a few pieces of their furniture and just”discounted” the total cost of this transfer 18 (after benefitting from $14K to $22,750) to a busted classic table base, and big oak table seats 8 people. They didn’t set some of our items in the destination since they were assumed to below contract. One of the men came to our house with influenza symptoms and stumbled around almost the whole moment. My loved ones and I all pooled into help unload the vehicle for them from our residence.
Please keep away. Initially they had been great but as soon as they receive your deposit all hell breaks loose. They explained that they would price match, wasnt done. They persuaded me to pick them as they were not a broker- they hired another firm to move my things. They billed me a binding to not exceed price fee of 700 telling me I might not need to cover more then the estimated price – but then tell me I need to pay $600 more. The drivers came with a ghetto truck entirely covered in grafitti afterward made dreadful remarks concerning our stuff being gross, so they chose matters from the don’t load heap, they attempted to bill me to wrap mirrors and TVs that were part of their contract cost. I requested for delivery through email and got a confirmation for a particular date and they attempted to send earlier then attempted to bill me a redelivery/storage charge. Their sole positive is that they confessed to the mistake and waived this $650 charge. Afterward the shipping had to be postponed due to the additional $600 charge that I was not ready for. Shipping was to be on 3/30. I sent an email and called and left a message confirming that the 3/30 delivery. 3/30 rolls around and still no stuff. I eventually reach somebody and they tell me it wouldn’t be till after 4/4 since the motorists were on a different delivery. 4/4 rolls around and no material, I call back and are advised between 4/11 and 4/15. At this stage I want a date so that I can attempt to get the afternoon off work. They say they will call me back with a date but naturally they don’t. I call back now and now they state delivery between 4/16 and 4/21 that is now almost two weeks they’ve had my things. Please folks, avoid this provider. They don’t care about their clients in any way. As soon as they have your NON REFUNDABLE deposit you’re no more significant to them. They charge you a not to exceed binding quote fee but then exceed the prices. . .and no I didn’t add on a lot of things, but we really left behind a washer, drier and computer desk so that the weight must happen to be less not more. I’m currently calling a lawyer, bbb, and press. WORST firm EVER. Enjoy their cookie cutter cutter/copy & glue answers for their testimonials too:-LRB-
I attempted supplementing together, there telephone was disconnected.Ii emailed Jamieson and never got a response. Just when I left the email stating I had been calling the AG did the owner/manager contact me and inform me just how long he has been performing motions and just how experienced he had been and the reason why they dont have an A rating with the bbb. The quote I received was an excellent price, almost too good to be true when the huge name moving businesses needed $4,000. I cancelled my occupation in the following date March 6. They hold that cash and when you call and ask they do not allow you to talk into the financial services, they simply say its been reimbursed it only must go through our lender. Now is your 19 and that I called again just to receive exactly the exact same response that it may take around 30 days. I really don’t know about others but I believe $599.00 is a good deal of cash to just be floating around especially once you have other bills to payfor. Again had to inform them I will be calling my attorney and the AG if that cash isn’t in my account tomorrow. Not a fantastic experience for me personally and my very first move. Frankly I’d shell out on the 4000 to receive a respectable business.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL Price! Earnings people are pushy and do not understand how to take”no” for an answer. I needed to tell the man 3 times!!! They use an automatic dialing system to phone and be sure that you answer before they really call you. The main reason why I know that is because the exact guys voice said the exact same conversation to me with the exact same contrasts and tones twice at a two day period. Once I told them that the first time I’m not curious they phone me backagain. The conversation starts off using the repetitions voice copying”hi….hello” a few times and then asking if I could hear them. I’m sitting there talking to the machine thinking it is a true man (just how irritating is that?) He then says something has to be wrong with their telephone system and informs me he might need to phone me back. Just then, after wasting my time on the telephone and pissing off me with this dumb trickery, does a live man really call you. How pitiful! I’ve been in the customer care business for 14 decades and this yells at just how much they don’t respect their client’s time. How about you just pick up the telephone and really try to telephone us like you attention! On top of that I test out their BBB rating and It’s a C-. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL Price!
I couldn’t feel the horrible customer support I received out of Continental Van Lines USA. I’ve not been treated with such disrespect in my whole life. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. EVER.I read testimonials such as that and thought”Hey, each moving company likely has some terrible reviews”, but this has been a mistake. I had been scheduled to get my own delivery at the close of the month. Maggie, my client representative, also called me the week prior to my transfer and tricked me in changing my dates to a earlier than agreed upon date. I initially said no, and that I became so horribly impolite to me and made me so nervous about the protection of my movement that I eventually consented to the change. But once I called to inquire about that day my transfer was occurring, no one responded to my requirements. They ended up arriving to a morning in which I had been on the job and that I needed to run home to complete packing.Continental Van Lines are rude, dishonest, and so careless with the movement. Please for your own sake and reassurance, don’t hire them! ****UPDATE******once I threatened to battle the $500 deposit with Continental Van Lines, they explained that it was a federal crime since they are found in Florida, and that they would sue me. This isn’t correct! I went forward and contested that the $500 deposit with my credit card business. My charge card company attempted to get in touch with Continental Van Lines, plus they refused to react. I wound up receiving $250 back from my credit card business. So, a triumph for me, however I still want to notify individuals of how awful they’re so that they don’t get overly company.
This moving business never chose up my furniture and obtained $820.59 deposit which they won’t refund. DO NOT USE THIS FAKE CONTINENTAL VAN LINES. On May 15, 2012 I had been told I needed to make a deposit until they’d ship the contract (from Gregg) had been told at the time they’d select the furniture up over five days. I needed to call about the 5th day, they promised me someone will be there daily. I waited all day for nothing. I phoned Gregg to repay his money that he inturned obtained a telephone bouncer to phone and be rude and tell me that there wasn’t any way I’d be receiving my $820.59 backagain. That I was STUPID and ought to have read this contract (a contract that I did not have in the time that I paid the $820.59). Please beware of the Business from Pompano Beach Florida. THEY GOT PAID FOR DOING NOTHING
Worst moving business ever. They stole my flat screen TV, DVD player and DVDs. I moved to submit a claim that they provided to compensate me 135. The movers also damaged my antique sewing machine, my first kitchen table was scrached and bookcase was scraped. Very unprofessional, weren’t careful taking delicate boxes or furniture from their moving van simply throwing them around the hands or upside down. It’s impossible to speak to somebody in the corporation. As soon as I attempted to get them they don’t answer the phone unless I call in another phone number. Really impolite.
I’ve registered a complaint with the BBB.
I had the most bizarre experience with this business. Unbeknownst to me that they moved me into a brokerrather than even a moving business. Having never had encounter with shifting where I did not do it myself, I thought they all advised me,” including the requirement of setting a $799.49 deposit. The person I spoke to gave me a very very fair quote, and after I put down the deposit Said he would be my go-to Individual, could take very good care of me, etc.,. I thought it entirely. A week prior to the transfer, somebody else known to validate every thing and gave me a quote of roughly double the initial Volume. I phoned back in a hour, however, they have been shut, therefore that I made a message. After they finally called me back the conclusion of the Following Day, they informed me that I did not provide enough notice and also their documents revealed I’d predicted that Identical morning so that I was only out of luck. What??? Weeks after I eventually contacted a lawyer about getting my deposit money. He had too much difficulty with their communication platform since I’d – being moved multiple occasions, being placed on hold for long Amounts of Time, etc – as well as the very best they’d part with was 150. When I received the paperwork through email to signal, it said (paraphrased) that they did nothing wrong and weren’t only giving me that nominal sum to close me up. They left $650 for doing absolutely nothing. I’m advised that this is a Frequent practice.
It’s been 16 weeks since our horrible movement and still I don’t have any resolution to each of the harms ($18,000 value ). The Business has used 2 Unique claims adjusting companies. I get conflicting answers (if any at all) in the MANY different team members I Have spoken to (once I could get hold of these ) The”full package” move started with a leased U-Haul using NOTHING… no newspaper, boxes, wrap material of Any Sort. The truck was too little for the family, so things were kept in storage for over a week. Things were managed several times. The movement only went downhill from there. At delivery, the very first item from the trailer pulled behind yet another leased U-Haul was that our mattress together with the lawn mower upsidedown on top of it!!?? The motorist even signed a paper with all the big items recorded that were ruined. Obviously the Entire experience was a nightmare and the company takes no responsibility or responsibility for some of it. Attempting to find some replies or gratification was next to impossible. . .Continental Van Lines is a sham. . .using subcontracting businesses. Coast To Coast and Transferring America of Houston would be another moving companies That You Ought to avoid. I hope this advice makes something twice about hiring this Organization. They shouldn’t stay in operation.
Before hire these men make some study. I had a terrible experience during my movement since they dropped my things. Following my move I phoned them to make a complaint but they constantly put me in hold and ignored my calls. I went into their offices and find that they don’t have a workplace, they do not have a physical address.
Keep away from those corporation!
My pickup dates shifted several times. My clothes weren’t correctly packed in a mailbox. Plasma TV was just wrapped in a blanket. It had been the same with all the other TVs. Boxes aren’t clearly marked. Carriers maintained they packed things my wife packaged. Shipping was five times later than contract, however I have yet to be reimbursed the $35 per day late charge. The people I talked with at Garrett’s Moving & Storage — that really handled the move — told me I wasn’t their client so that I wasn’t a priority. Each of the blankets were eliminated from things once they had been transferred into storage. I’ve boxes and other things sitting at the top of the dining room table and china cabinet. I asked for clothing to be set facing storage locker in order to get them simpler… didn’t occur. On shipping, there was a surprise 1300 packing fee, which I’m disputing as apparel boxes weren’t used and a few products weren’t packed from the carriers. I have been battling with The Moving Co. — today Continental Van Lines — also Garrett’s for 2 weeks. I’m always told they will assist me, however nothing ahs been completed yet. The only real contact is the contact I begin. There are many different issues to mention. This movement proved to be a total disaster, and such businesses are sleazy. Avoid them at all cost… Additionally, I will be reporting those firms to the ICC, DOT and BBB.
Worst encounter every… The only good thing you’ll receive is on the afternoon of the quotation, it’s all lies down and down hill from there. Described to to salesman I needed to stand out the 5th of December and was advised that wasn’t a issue, well my furniture was still in the home about the 7th and if they eventually got there that the truck was 3/4 complete and would not hold all of my furniture. The weight that they tell you’ll be entirely off I had a 4 bdrm home that I recorded all of my furniture of they were just able to acquire the bdrms and I was just 200lbs under weight. They’ll tell you that if you furniture count is right and you go over weight there’s not any extra price. That’s a whole lie…. They did offer to put my furniture in storage and return to get it but after figuring out just how far off they had been together with the burden and the cost would be a different 1500 and I told them to overlook it> In summary they will always lie to you,I spent an whole weekend waiting to be picked up with no telephone call when they did not show. Should you prefer to be lied to cheated and tricked utilize them besides this STAY AWAY.
My movement was fine with a single slow man and another providing directions to him as they worked, which then outcome took more. . .on my spending time. And of course that the movement was so slow that the one asking the other questions of how-to’s my family underage children were asked to assist from the movers and we’re still overcharged.
Additionally, the business representative whose among the movers introduced me with another total to begin with than what had been quoted that added tremendously to the last volume.
I’m not happy about that and we’ve many businesses we will need to go on a daily basis at my company whose well known local and long distant and I won’t recommend this corporation.
To add, the business made a error in entering the data for the payment. Before affirming their input of advice, I received lots of dreadful calls regaridng advice that was misentered by the business and from the individual entering the data for payment, which caused the charge not moving through. My lender afterwards affirmed the charged following the proper data was entered from the worker of the business. I can not imagine if my transfer wasn’t around the corner together with the couple products. This is just uncanning.

This organization is terrible. They had been fine during the initial call to have a quotation but were overdue with pick-up. Lost our household products, were two weeks late on shipping and left us without a household products in a vacant home, with three children, and had no idea where our items were. They weren’t appologetic and wouldn’t return my telephone calls. RUN AWAY!
This business is a scam! I had been quoted that which I thought was a wonderful price for my own move. I had been told it’d only require 6 hours. At the end my movement has been 14 hours maybe not the 6 which I had been originally voiced. My sales man seemed really cool in the beginning & knew my situation. What I couldn’t know in the beginning is that my paperwork started with Continental Van Lines. From the time that I obtained my finished contract their firm name had changed into Transferring America of Tampa. I had been told that this is their sister’s company. After going on the internet and calling the DOT I discovered that they don’t have any permit to move anybody. I needed to do everything possible to not push to their workplace & punch Greg my earnings man from the face. To make it worse that he explained he had been the General Manager of the business. I’ve lost things, ripped couch, chipps in my own tables & dressers. I’d wet furniture which destroyed the wet & finish boxes which fell apart. I had been advised from the movers which the truck comes with a gap in the roof and also if it rains material becomes moist. They advised me to phone the office and make a criticism. Don’t Use This Business Should You Value Your Wallet & Belongings!!!!
After I understood I had over a complete load for a 26ft truck I phoned continental van lines to find out what their costs where. After speaking with Tom and moving over my possessions he offered me that a worst case cost of a bit over $2,500.00. Two days ahead of my planned movement Craig phoned me personally to QA my listing of things. After copying my listing to Craig he stated that my shifting weight was substantially greater than what Tom explained it could be but for an additional $700.00 They might make certain that my brand new worst scenario cost could be $3,500. The day prior to his scheduled pickup date that the driveway called to say he’d be at my home between 9-11am. In 2:30 that I called the company and they had no idea why they weren’t in my residence, after a few telephone calls We discovered that the driver wouldn’t arrive for pickup until 4:30pm. As soon as they came they functioned until 10pm. Telling me that thier assistance wouldn’t arrive till 11:00pm, only a bit late for work at a locality. Then following morning that the next truck came and filled the remaining objects, ( leaving a couple things laying on the floor they forgot to load once I’d told them that they needed to move all of the heap. Fourteen days after I recieved my merchandise, but not until I needed to speak to steve 8 distinct times since the driver told me that my shifting weight surpassed what craig had lent me. They then billed iver $15.00 for each excess box that they used, but I packaged all things that had to package and what exactly the stated they packaged in which things which didn’t require packaged ie. card table, shovel, coolers. Over all I had been fees more that $3,000.00 afterward I was first quoted. The communicating with Rick, Steve, Craig, along with Tom was near impossable and to turn it off if they called into asked exactly how the pick-up procedure went The woman stated,” I would like I wouldn’t have called” and then hung up the telephone on me. Customer support with these folks is bad to say the very least, I wouldn’t ever recommand this moving business to anybody. I think they understood from the very first phone call that they create much more cash off me afterward they first told me. To complete my pain together, the shipping truck didn’t arrive in my new house till 8pm and they functioned until a bit after 10pm.
Scheduled a transfer in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Albany, Georgia for the day of May 3rd into the dawn of May 4th. We took Wednesday off to package up and everything ready to go by Thursday afternoon. Were told by Josh, my contact person in Continental that I’d be getting a call from the carrier Wednesday to tell me when they’d be picking up. I was not called and needed to call repeatedly only to be given the run around and nobody could tell me when my pickup is. Josh never returned my phone call, when he stated he would, following 11:30 Thursday, May 3rd. Someone finally told me that my pickup could be between 8 and 10 Friday morning. I had been routed to the individual after giving up on Josh and phoning customer services. I was also told that they’d left messages with the motorist. We had been staying at a resort, so we checked out early to be prepared for a potential 8’m pick up. At 9:30 I called Continental and had been advised they’d left a message with all the motorist. The motorist known as my daughter’s mobile phone and said he wouldn’t be picking up for 5 more hours. (We’re supposed to return in Albany that day.) He explained that the selection had never been scheduled for Friday am, however the day. I phoned Continental back and has been placed on hold, again. While I had been on hold somebody called Jasmine phoned and told me that my move was subbed out to Source One and they ought to have granted me her number to phone. Long depressing story brief, the movers arrived at 5:30 p.m. central time. We were led out at nearly 7:00 pm. We return to Albany in 1:30 am. The motorist, Anthony called to inform us he’d be delivering in 6:15 pm into the storage device we’d leased. I believed it should not take too much time, but my daughters furniture was in between somebody elses material and it was just another sad evening using movers. They lost her desk along with the drawer is ruined. We saw this occur. Each of the boxes have been smashed and we had difficulty finding a number of these. The communication was POOR. The driver’s voice mailbox was complete – that may account for not having the ability to get in contact with him. The movers were courteous and clean, however, the experience was dreadful. We must move her things again and I won’t be using this corporation!
First contact has been RUDE and condescending. Greg contacted me that I guess since I started the stock list that I found online. I began to explain I was just starting my procedure and the cost seemed really large for the few things it had been predicated on, and then he appeared to be telling me that this business was the least expensive and when I believed I’d find something cheaper I wasn’t, however, he had a horrible attitude and strategy.
Arrived three times late, could not get all things on a single truck although the burden was 1400 pounds beneath estimate of 7000 lbs, compared to had to wait for another 2 weeks for a different business to pick up remainder of things that they charged me an additional $1100….than they whined which I paid $795 for storage into them and had to receive my own storage whilst van had been in town awaiting directions about where to fall furniture!!!!! Compared to 2nd, truck moved to La. rather than P.S. and that I had to wait for another 10 days,…I have moved several times and that has been the WORST!!!! I thougt they have been movers however they’re agents and require no responabilty for any problems or hurt….DO NOT USE A BROKERS CALL A MOVING COMPANY!!! Have no photographs of harm but Don’t Hesitate to phone me to get discription of complete nightmare”””….760-835-8090
Frank and Gregory have been my signature at Bayonne, NJ. They are quite beneficial and naturally quite professional. The movers came punctually and they were also professional. They did not split or steal whatever. Moving is not simple but somehow these men did a quick and terrific job. They put together all of my furniture with no extra fees. This neighborhood move wasn’t pricey, but rather affordable. I’ll certainly advise other people to provide Continental Van Lines an opportunity, ” The Bayonne place is very great and most importantly HONEST.
The quotation I recieved was terrific. This wasn’t to exceed cost, therefore I wasnt billed extra at the last second. The movers were on time and also to good care of the things. Everything was padded and shrink wrapped without any harm was done to some of my things or the house I was departing. After the truck came in california it had been punctually. The inspector carefully eliminated the items in the truck and put the at the right areas that I requested them to. They cushioned the doors to prevent harm and also rolled out a red rug so to not track dirt in my new residence. These guys are good, I will recomend to anybody…
Quite satisfied with this moving business. We did a lengthy go to Boston and we all needed to be there about a specific day and they ensured me this could happen or they’d spend $100 per day for every day that they were overdue. No other firm gave me this guarantee. They left it nice and the movers were very pleasant boys. We dropped a Couple of screws into a mattress but it could happen to be my husband error but Apart from That the movement went flawless… I urge nearby vanlines usa to anyone Searching for a Fantastic mover…
I had a scheduled movement on August 8, 2013. I Wasn’t conscious COL was a broker house that sub-contracted my movement. I’d email Jamieson in addition to Adams together with the sub-contracted Agency, Infinity, which I must cancel my transfer since my brother had been broke and killed in a pedestrian crash and I must drive from New York to Virginia and that I do not know just when I’ll be moving to Florida. Neither guys returned my e-mails to acknowledge receipt of this. I needed to get Dana, client support rep., to obtain a cancellation number. I followed the protocol in line with this contract to obtain a refund. I waited roughly per month and there was no charge on my charge card. I called there customer support number and it had been always a device. I made a message to get somebody contact me. Be mindful when I had been contacted to somebody with their amount promoted, the individual asked me that moving forthcoming I’m wishing to associate with. I understood this business has multiple titles. As a preceding had said they talk to you fine and Extremely understanding. Since I informed the firm, I had no control over my brother’s passing and I’d not’d cancelled. My last resort was to possess the credit card solve this issue. I’d sent a shipping confirmation letter through United States Postal Service and it came back as place vacated.
Good movement and with a grin, no issues and got everything I needed.
I recently helped transfer my girlfriend in an apartment utilizing Continental Van Lines and could not have been more happy. They had her whole jewelry studio tucked to a truck at a half an hour. Wrapped her bed in plastic to protect it through the journey and also utilized painters’ blankets to shield desks and dressers against harm. I would recommend being organized before the move, since they will have your [EDIT] inside their own truck at no time if you’re.
I’ve moved many times through the last few years and the motions have been fine, but that one final special movement, they could find a truck in the last moment and receive my huge family move at a fantastic price. The movers were cautious with transferring my belongings and did a list of what. On the phone the customer support is exceptional, you phone they pick up, no more stop voicemail and also return to problems’s together. I remain in contact with all the moving broker during the whole moving process.
Communication is exceptional together and they all listen to what your requirements are with this shifting service.
