I wouldn’t ever use this business even if my life depended upon it. They dropped an whole box filled with my parents (dead ) momentos and there’s absolutely no way to ever replace it; claim or no maintain. Very disorganized direction and idle workers. Additionally from the box was a decoration collection of hummels; plates, crystal inherited from my people. Attempt to clarify that Mr. moving business. It has caused me to unimaginable despair that we’re thinking about visiting a lawyer. This really is the worst excuse for a moving company in the united states. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
If I could give this business a negative five star review, I’d. These individuals turned what’s already a stressful moving encounter into a nightmare beyond my wildest dreams. Everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong. They’re the most disreputable group of incompetent liars I’ve ever addressed. The amount of dishonesty they’ve participated in could have shocked Pinocchio. Getting ready for a move from Chicago to Cleveland to begin expert college, Colonial had offered me using a seemingly excellent price quote. They stated that their transfer was all in-house, their own workers did the moving, the identical group that picked up my belongings are those dropping off it, I’d have a truck all for myself personally, and also their movers are wearing masks and hazmat suits to avoid the spread of COVID. Everything looked too good to be true, and it had been. The group was a few hours late (and that I was working on a time schedule), subcontracted, totally unprofessional, not even bothering to put on masks (and you was even vaping!) . They ballooned the cost from $1700 to $5000 on fake weight/volume quotes, hidden charges, and other items which has been absolutely not a part of their contract. They broke a few of my things. They claimed that they were not advised about instantaneous delivery to my brand new flat (that was presumed to be the strategy ), also stated it’d be an additional $800, forcing me to select for storage for many days to spend less. Because of this, I had been forced to spend a few days in a vacant apartment dwelling like a homeless individual in my own home (but hey, at least I’d net!) . All this time, I was still trying to find out when I could expect delivery of my items and competition this brand new fraudulent price gouge. The repetitions at Colonial are utterly liars. They’re specialists in avoidance and disturbance of the maximum level. Whenever I requested to talk to the client rep that helped me arrange my move or speak to a different manager, I’m instantly transferred or advised that so and so individual is presently not working daily. But that isn’t the situation. They may also let your amount go to voicemail, even like all of the lines are active. But if you telephone them by another or unfamiliar amount, they’ll suddenly pick up, since they expect you’re a new client which they can swindle from cash. They lied to me on the title of the subcontractor, they maintained they had no thought about where my stuff is, they made up explanations as to why my documents weren’t showing up in their computer system, etc.. When my stuff eventually did arrive, the mover needed an extra $900 (because seemingly the semi would not fit through the home terrace ), and yet another $100 for walking space ($5000 now became $6000). The inspector was impolite and threatened to walk off when I inquired if I could see the storage area, and refused to do anything before he had been compensated. Additionally he had the audacity to have a smoking break ON MY STUFF. What he promised for a 1 hour move turned to five hours, because he lazed about while his spouse did the heavy work. These folks are criminally dishonest, they are pathological liars, they don’t care about the wellbeing of their client, and they simply exist to gain off of the client’s distress. This is actually the first time that I have had a client encounter so horrendously awful that I felt the necessity to write a negative review. Their company deserves to go under and their workers in prison for fraud.
They billed us 16 million dollars to get a quoted by numerous businesses 5 – 7 million dollar movement. They advised us a two day delivery and could continue to keep our belongings secured on the vehicle. After they began withdrawing with all our stuff we had been advised it’d require at least 15 days for shipping. They then told us we needed to wire them 100 percent of their money or they were planning to save our items. We weren’t eager to provide them all of the money before delivery so that they held our things hostage and destroyed almost 50 percent of our things throwing them from the walls in an unidentified storage location. Many household heirlooms were ruined and they moved via our boxes and have stolen lots of products. We can not get a hold of anybody in the business or a number of companies they’d have us ahead advice and wire the cash to. By Denver to Tucson and virtually no furniture. A good deal of boxes to proceed… plus they defeated and kicked and ruined every thing we have seen up to now.
They had us cable transfer cash to Nabout Family Co, Inc. 120 Park Ct.. Roselle, IL 60127 Account#915926765 Routing#071000013 in 1084 S Roselle Rd, Schaumburg IL 60193 so as to release our things out of being held Hostage in storage in direct breach of their contract and our fantasies. Subsequently it still took over a week to allow them to even let us know of a shipping date.
I am hoping and praying I or anybody else do not go through hell just like the remaining folks with this review page. . .but that probably is not likely to take place from reading all of the reviews here. Individuals moving are already stressed out and we do not need additional stress into our lives. That is why we hire movers; to take that stress away. If I wind up going through hell exactly like everybody on here, most of us must get together to do some thing about this unethical business cause they already started showing me their true colours once I asked for a refund. Since they denied my refund, I am stuck together sadly. I am hoping and praying everything goes smoothly and that I will get my items in precisely the exact same truck it abandoned in with the very same movers inside a week. I am hoping I do not need to cover more than they said and hoping that they do just what they told me and relay the exact same information into the moving company they employ. Had I known that it was a 3rd party firm, I wouldve stayed away from them. I could only hire movers directly myself. However, since they deceive people into believing they have their very own real trucks and company, It is too late to have a refund as soon as you cover,Smh I will keep you guys updated however. Should they put me through hell, then all of us need to put them through hell also! Not trendy to make the most of anxious out clients. All these people today operate from home (even before pandemic) and receive commission from each purchase so of course they’ll let you know exactly what you wish to hear. They lie without a remorse and they can not even get their information directly. The man explained legally, drivers are only permitted to drive 500 miles every day. But a person wrote a review here saying the person she talked to said that it was 800 milesper hour Smh. Once I called the man I had been talking to outside and asked for the amount of the firm that they hired so I can address them directly rather than coping with them (once they only got paid commission out of me and do not feel the necessity to reply anymore of our queries by reading the reviews), astonishingly. . .he messaged me back and still tried to act as they have a true business of their own and did not give me some advice on the people they’ve hired. Smh. Horrible. You want to have more business and more commission? Then you better make sure that your clients are pleased to write great reviews rather than have clients coming after you lawfully.
My gf and I used that business from despair. The price was correct and the woman we spoke with seemed careful and easy moving, compared to the issues began. They pushed our shifting date back 3 days, and as soon as the movers finally revealed they’d attempted to double the quantity we had been quoted by precisely the identical girl we’d been speaking to. We needed to cancel the project, thankfully the Agency understood trigger apparently. Colonial utilizes 3rd party movers so that they dont formally move things themselves. Pissed both us and the 3rd party movers away due to all the wasted money and time.
We chose to only get a truck and drive because we’d already lost a week due to these unprofessional goons. And NOW we have tp struggle to receive our deposit back from these because Colonial themselves did nothing for us, but naturally either we can not get ahold of them if they wont give us exactly the ideal amount for their accounting department.
Steer clear of those useless, unproffesional, thieving scumbags.
They transferred a little load for me in March, 2020. It had been 45 boxes, two end tables and a bike. Since it was a little load, I advised them that they should NOT attract a massive truck and moreover, it would not fit in my drive. I obtained a distinct call from grade management. I told them exactly the exact same thing. Do not sent a significant truck: it is not required and it will not match. So, what exactly did they ship? A significant truck and just once they got here did they provide me the information that it’d be $250 additional. I called to complain and was told that they could not guarantee truck dimensions and also poor. Afterward, when it had been sent (after being moved several times likely ), everything was higgledy-piggledy from the smaller truck that they attracted but even then, since parking was restricted in the region, they needed to bill ANOTHER $250 additional. There were a few broken things but now, it is simply not worth the bother.
Yep- I had been duped by their incredible quotation and files they sent me on day 1… but boy are they anything but awesome! They underquoted me but I also added a couple more things. They simply require venmo and accredited tests so that nothing could be contested. They blocked me. I downloaded a burner amount – that they replied. My possessions were picked up with a father/15 yr old girl duo. The dad smoked in my non-smoking home – that I had been fined $250 for – but managed to dispute it- and they didn’t practice any protected practices. THank goodness I never got ill from them. Quick forward 33 days along with my things are sitting somewhere in texas… (They left Florida on July 17 en route to Phoenix, AZ.).That is all I know! I’ve re-read and re – read the contract over and over again. They won’t be charging me anymore than what’s owed in my statement equilibrium. I shall move the things myself if they attempt to charge me more! I was the foolish person who did not do the study in the start – I just liked what I originally heard. Do yourself a favor and please don’t pull on a Kelly and decide to use this firm!!!
I had been quoted a cost by Eric Marr, even once the movers came, they had been 3rd party movers (Bay Area Express Moving Business ).My contract said 110 things, however the movers took less than half of our possessions. My spouse and kids are moving from California to Texas. The movers transferred 1,621 cu ft. The movers said if we paid them an additional $2,000 they can move all of our possessions. We did not have it. We finally have made programs for the spouse to return to California, cover to get a uhaul truck and then push it back into Texas. In this period Eric Marr couldn’t be attained. We had household calling from other amounts and NOTHING!! Tried calling customer support and they had been of no assistance. . After listening to this telephone between Eric Marr along with my husband, at which Eric began we’d possess the entire truck! I am sitting here using a various 3rd party moving firm. Our possessions were moved to a different truck, together with various movers! The planned delivery date was Wednesday June 3rd. Customer support said that they have 9 days complete to provide our possessions. Nobody told us some of the. The contract does not say any of the. My children have gone with no clothes, their beds, and our canned products! I’d go with Pods or even a moving company rated from the BBB! These individuals are individuals and liars and do not care that they float over!! All they need is the money. In this outbreak when folks are fighting. They ought to be ashamed of themselves and their business practices. I’ll be reporting on them to the BBB and’m thinking of legal action!
I hired a moving company since I believed it’d be less stressful – I was not wrong! The sales rep will not return my voicemails I’ve left along with the email that I sent to him was returned”Message Blocked”! Then I sent a email to your business address but haven’t heard back from them. This is a dreadful experience! I was billed extra even if they had to strap my bed along with outside chairs into the rear of the truck since they did not have sufficient space – although I gave my whole collection of things 2 days prior to the transfer. The driver needed to strap on the mattress in my car – I told him”no more”! I had been advised from the dispatcher daily before that the could arrive involving 0800-1100 the following moment. The motorist called me this afternoon telling me that the truck needed to be scrutinized due to Covid-19 and that they would appear sometime that afternoon – they came at 4:30. I had been advised to pay using a cash order-never was it stated that the money order needed to be from USPS. The ones that I got out of WalMart weren’t acceptable. I needed to visit the lender (good thing that I transferred back into a town that I still had a bank account in)and receive money. I can go on and on! Just do not use this provider!
I wish I can post a screen shot here of this horrible conversation that happened over text in this business!! Do not even bother with those folks. They could not even talk to me personally with professionalism, and dropped any company I’d have contributed straight away. And depending on the testimonials below, I know now. They simply suck complete. Hope that this helps someone avoid those individuals.
I wish I can place the full 4 page letter I’m submitting to this BBB. This is a nightmare: They’re permitted to have all of your possessions rather than send them for 15 days- 3 months! (it is at the fine print.) We had been moving my girl ,(600miles) however her things never came while we were not there to fulfill with the movers. We needed to put her back home. Today, all of her stuff is at her fresh home-600 kilometers away-and she’s back home together with nothing-no clothing, no furniture… Additionally, there have been additional fees including:”extra distance” at the vehicle, along with the walking distance from the curb to the front door. They refused to load and then load until instant payments of additional fees were created (via Venmo.) Do not use these folks. They made much more anxiety and did not nothing to facilitate this procedure. So today, we have paid nearly $3,000 and we all still have to drive 600 miles ourselves anyway to get her back there. In addition, this entire procedure is so complicated, I do not even know if it is the firm, or even the movers that they contracted by, Golden Van Lines, which are mainly to blame.
We recently contracted Colonial Moving to transfer our household products. We did a comprehensive video walk-through together and obtained a Binding Quotation for the transfer. On the afternoon of this transfer, the movers required on the place an additional $800 in cash. They claimed that it was for transferring three things because their paperwork did not have these recorded. We revealed our Binding Quotation, which did listing those products. We attempted to phone Colonial several occasions but nobody replied. The movers said they’re a distinct party and would not honor the Colonial quotation. We did not agree to this amount so that they left. Following calling, leaving messages and emailing Colonial a few occasions, the sales rep, Savanna Hambrick, stated they’d refund our deposit within an email. But when we followed up with Colonial about the refund, they changed their story and said they would not issue a refund since the movers showed up, in spite of the fact that the movers asked a ridiculous quantity of money immediately for things contained in the Binding Quote. We’re extremely upset due to the dreadful experience during the stressful times. It is a fraud which Colonial Moving dedicated attempting to scam us to cover significantly more on the place after giving us a Binding Quote.
This business ought to be shut down to their moving fraud. If You’ve Got similar experience, please also file a complaint with the Dept of Transportation:
https://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov/NCCDB/ComplaintEntry.aspx?choice=CONSUMER
If I managed to provide -10 stars I would. This organization is terrible and shouldn’t be used!
They lie and fib your stock to receive your enterprise and inform you that your deposit is refundable and then as it’s time to perform your final inspection of stock all the sudden your deposit isn’t refundable and your stock is WAY off.
My pickup was rescheduled three days, which induced me to need to pay extra rent on the home I was departing. Afterward, the motorist, Lucky, was so rude and very egregious and got his truck stuck in a ditch in my pickup speech. When I selected up my stuff, he advised me in dropoff so long as my flat was about the 1st floor, so I still would not need to pay over $875. When Konstantin arrived in the dropoff place, he let me understand the door was farther than 50 feet, and it’d be an extra $375, that I did not have as my pickup cost me an additional $1100 and left me with just $880 to cover the movers. I explained this to Konstantin and requested him to please bring my possessions the 50 ft, and that I would need to transfer it to the remainder. When he started the vehicle, my items seemed like they were pitched to the toilet, and most, if not many of my boxes, then had been smashed with different broken items inside them. While I allow Konstatin understand that I was able to simply cover the 50 ft, he said okay and went to unload everything just to the exterior of the truck instead of even the 50 ft. He explained that the fee was 863, and that I just had $880 in money, and he maintained the 880. I was also advised that you’ve got your drivers and that you don’t deal out. From what I can say, the drivers were independent contractors and did not care what sort of service that they provided. At pickup, Lucky stated to the neighborhood guy who had been helping him load that he would just make $1200 with the endeavor and that he would just pay him $30. Additionally, upon coming of my things, I’m missing my vacuum along with a heating mattress pad which stinks around $650. The mattress pad sells for approximately $350, and the vacuum is currently roughly $300. I’ll make certain to let anybody I understood to prevent your support to prevent the frustration and horrible support. I am certain that there isn’t anything to be achieved, and I am only from this cash and my busted and lost products.
THIS IS A SCAM – that the company is a fraud. Colonial Moving is a broker. When directly asked they will claim they aren’t, they’ll inform you”Colonial will proceed” your possessions. That is exactly what Eric told. However, Eric is dishonest and Eric functions for a scamming, dishonest firm. DO NOT USE THEM.
Colonial underestimates and supplies you with a brief time period for supply of products. But once the movers Ultimately do actually appear (had us waiting all day), they let you know that your possessions demand more additional cubic square feet and also cost you double – DOUBLE – of that which you were originally quoted. They wind up charging you over any among those reputable, more comfortable moving businesses perform. They then proceed to inform you that the transfer with take double the amount of time you’re advised. All of the time, you don’t have any recourse with Colonial since they’ve handed off you and don’t return calls. In reality, the movers have you register a totally new contract and the one thing they honor out of Colonial is that the”estimated cubic squ feet cost”…. Which is already too large. I am unsure how this business has not already had legal actions taken against it or the way that it is able to stay in operation. It’s a legit scam, so they perpetrate fraud as well as the movers which truly move and transfer the products are extortionist. DO NOT BE ANOTHER VICTIM. Or fall for some of those rave 5 star reviews, my hunch is that they are all fake reviews or maybe speaking to a business based from the NE using a name alongside Colonial Movers.
They supply you with a quote and then end up charging you twice. I had been given a quote of $1,500 for a 1 bedroom flat for my transfer out of Baton Rouge to Chicago. I had been told the transfer would take 2-3 days from the Colonial rep. I paid the $500 deposit. Movers came two weeks after the agreed upon date. I expected to find a Colonial truck, nevertheless instead some third party moving firm named Acirfa Van Lines showed up. My items were loaded on the truck and then the driver gave me the contract to signal saying that I owed them $2,400 longer daily of delivery. Like what!? Apparently my possessions took up twice as much distance as”they anticipated” so I needed to be billed more. B.S. I’d no option but to sign the contract because my items were already on the vehicle. When my anticipated delivery day came, nobody arrived. I made many calls to Colonial Client services. Sometimes they would not even reply and it’d go directly to voicemail. After I did get a hold of them, I had been told that they had no idea where my items were and they’d need to get in contact with the firm that had been moving my items and would phone me back. Never got a call backagain. Eventually 10 days after, I receive a call in the driver stating that they would be there the following day. The movers come and dropped all of my disassembled furniture at the flat and then abandoned. I needed to employ someone else to construct my furniture. In addition to this, these men damaged my chest, night stand, and also my mattress frame. There are scratches, scratches, and scratches around!
Long story short, these men suck you in with a too-good-to-be-true quote simply to bill you 2-3 times longer. The rep on the phone will probably lie simply to receive your deposit. These men will subcontract your move out to some other corporation. Apparently they transfer other people’s things while some matters are in their truck and just deliver your stuff for you when it is suitable for them. Search”moving scam” on Google and you’ll learn that this is precisely what these men are. Buyers beware!
I contacted business to get a transfer from NY to FL. The first pitch by James Coleman was created on 9/1/19. In this particular pitch, James advised that my transfer could be made in 3 times and quoted a cost. He worried that they possess a”pipeline” from NY to FL and that this period was summit for movers. So 3 times is all it might take. In addition, he explained the movers are just permitted to drive 800 mph so the 3 times looked reasonable to get a 1400+ mile movement. The firm James intentionally lied through his sales pitch. We discussed the transfer time on many occasions. I advised I had been going 1400 miles and had to arrange to push down to FL with a senior citizen (and dog) and take some time of work for unpacking. He promised the 3 times is all it’d take till the vehicle broke down, or there were street conditions in the manner. I was likewise NEVER advised that my contents could be transferred from the truck utilized throughout the pickup to a 18 wheeler and would have to wait around for different deliveries to be made on the road. Additionally, each piece of wood furniture has been ruined. The movers wrapped my stuff so tight, the timber snapped. Additionally they piled the boxes at the 18 wheeler so tight and large which over 20 boxes in which smashed. The cost quoted kept going up and up. The quotation is chiefly due to weight of things and that I compensated for many broken furniture to be transferred. All these movers had no maintenance whatsoever with my own contents. Actually that the delivery movers were ashamed and pissed at the status of my stuff. They even bought us dinner. Don’t use this company again and urge all to stay FAR AWAY!
WARNING!!!! DO NOT BOOK!!! YOU STILL SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO NEVER SEE YOUR STUFF AGAIN!!! 1 MONTH OF HELL!!!! So we left the very first police record where we lived since we had a great feeling that this was going to happened. We then made a second one from the town we moved into. So we’ve got two police reports out about these. We’ve contacted the BBB, and FBI, and seeking to come across a great attorneys. Every week they’ve produced a brand new lie regarding why the vehicle is currently here. The first week was because they needed more money (although that was not from the contract)the following week was that the truck broke down, the second was that they blended up our stuff with another person. We all know we are not likely to receive our things back but today we will need to sue them as everything else are we going to purchase all new things. What’s GONE! We’ve been sleeping with the air issues for 4 months now and both our backs have been awakened. I am so stressed out I am making myself ill. I’ve not in my entire life been through this and I truly hope nobody else will. The moving business really send a different customer contact information into my spouse, so that he predicted that individual straight away and then WARNED them to not us that corporation. The moving business was in the center of loading her items plus she had them quit. At least we’ve helped one person up to now. I’ll fight to finish this moving business.
Do not ever use this company, they started avoiding my calls and putting me on hold for more than an hour each time when I try to ask for my refund. The contract states they will refund in full as long as it is 48 hours before the movers arrive. I’ve been calling months in advance and they have been deflecting my attempts. I finally got them to agree to refund 1 month in advance and they are taking forever to give me the confirmation email. If I don’t get my refund I will be performing a charge back with my bank for fraud, filing complaint with BBB and FMCA. SADLY I didnt check this in advance but they already have 12 complaints this year 2020 on FMCA for FRAUD and an F rating on BBB. Funny how this company told me they were not on BBB because apparently it requires fees to be on the site. Well clearly they are listed on BBB with a F rating!
Please don’t use this support!!! I’ve been awaiting my furniture for more than 21 times!! Horrible experience. I’ve a consultation with a lawyer in the daytime. I won’t quit until this company is closed down!! Moving is a really stressful period and also to include fretting about your possessions also creating it to you as well as that the cost change and overcharge charges are all overwhelming. It is simply no reason to get a business to be so unethical!!! In uncertain times such as these please do not include this fraudulent business to a list of stress because I guarantee it’ll take over everything else. I am rather ashamed, overwhelmed, and emotionally distraught on this circumstance. Can I mention fiscally strapped. I wouldn’t ever recommend this firm to anybody.
That is the WORST company I have ever done business with. I’m not even sure how they’re running a business. After hearing horror stories about moving companies that agent out your relocation, I had been seeking to conduct business with an immediate company, one which could pick up my belongings and move them directly into my final destination at Chicago. I had been assured up down, left, right, and sideways by my own representative Holly which Colonial was an immediate carrier and they’d NEVER subcontract out my transfer after she accumulated a $900 residue from me. Well, low and behold, the day of this transfer 3 men without company equipment in a yellowish Penske truck series up using a contract out of Liberty Transferring Group based from New Jersey stating that they had been subcontracted out from Colonial to deal with my transfer. Even stranger, so they stated that there credit card terminal was back and that I could just cover the 2nd section of the movement through check, money, or Venmo. After putting on the telephone with their boss I had been given some narrative which didn’t earn any type of feel as to why they couldn’t take my credit card to pay after my possessions were all loaded into the vehicle. My possessions were assumed to arrive at Chicago on Sunday June 28th or even Monday June 29th in the latest since I had been told once more by my representative Holly. After not having a phone on either one of these days I started frantically calling Holly, Colonial, & Liberty around no avail. I was eventually ready to get a grasp of this dispatcher for Liberty now July 6th, 2020 who managed to somehow contact me connected with Liberty to allow them to inform me my possessions remain in New Jersey at a warehouse and they can be sending out for me Wednesday July 8th or Thursday July 9th. I’ve asked several times today to be emailed with some of this in writing so that I at least have some type of a paper trail, but hope to get even one email after being guaranteed no less than 3x I would be receiving an email from the business. Obviously here I’m on July 6th sleeping on air mattress for a week at a vacant flat all because I had been listened to by my representative in Colonial who seemed like a love on the telephone and said anything she needed to say to find a deal which would now not answer my calls because as she put it”client support shouldn’t be her problem in the event the client support department really did their job…” Both of those organizations are awful and shouldn’t be permitted to conduct business. Stay as far away from these types of businesses as you possibly can. I’m not one to outside any one personally on the internet, however Holly you frustrated me. I hope you some how find yourself reading this inspection and actually Consider how your actions affect”your customers”
Transferring for FL to TX and they ask me to get a excess charge do covid 19, I really don’t got my merchandise after a month and they not answer the telephone for give an reason.
Don’t USE this firm!!
Back in 4/2020, my husband, Dave, talked to Steve Roth in Colonial. Dave was quite particular that the things required to be sent to 6/1 as we’d be flying on the market to help with the relocation. Steve told David that the things could be picked up on among 3 times (5/23, 5/24 or even 5/25). Steve said to not ship up the TV except to remove the TV rack and that the movers could wrap it with blankets together with the mirror. We obtained a binding arrangement on 4/08/20 list the posts we’d be transferring. The moving business didn’t visit before the transfer just like most firms do and confirm the info. Rather, they accepted our deposit with credit card along with Steve said the following payment will be expected once the driver picked up the product. The 2nd payment in pickup might also be made by charge card. He did say the next payment would have to be money or bank draft test at shipping. Dave asked if he would pay the motorist the rest when he arrived with a charge card because many banks were not open throughout COVID-19 and then we did not wish to pay money. Steve said that will be okay. Our charge card didn’t flag the trade so we place on a card. This ought to have shipped a red alert to people that something wasn’t plausible with the organization and that they have experienced many credit card disputes.
Dave was told we’d be advised 3 — 4 times before the transfer and 24 hrs prior to the driver could arrive. Dave made follow up into the moving business to confirm everything was on schedule. He had been told by customer support the info over. Nobody contacted us about the 23rd, 24th and also even the dawn of the 25th to convey the motorist would be coming. About the 25th David phoned the firm and was advised to anticipate the motorist in a few hours in the time that he predicted. Ugh. Customer support said they did get us 24 hours before. They did not but again we allow it move ignoring the reddish flags. Luckily we had all prepared but just wanted to transfer it all into the garage to get easier loading for those movers. The motorist called a couple of hours after and gave a single hour window in the day where he’d arrive during this interval. In addition, he said the TV and that there are an upcharge for wrap the TV along with mirror. Luckily we discovered a box to the TV and to get the mirror. We were upset that Steve informed my husband a bit distinct. Incidentally, we’re not ever able to make contact with Steve again. All telephone calls went into voicemail and that he never called my spouse or me back. I figure he obtained his commission and that he was done then. He wants more instruction in communication and integrity.
After the driver along with other inspector showed them up, they had been at a little truck tagged”Moving Experts” out of Dickson City, PA.. We were not informed about a subcontractor. The driver immediately subject would be a few hundred bucks more. To begin with, our stock hadn’t altered (even the motorist said it matched precisely to what he’d printed outside ). The motorist said though that when it was be significantly less compared to 450 c.f. he wished to quote for us, the balance in the conclusion would be less. We couldn’t trust this. Following a hour of battle and telephone calls made we made a decision to take a couple of things out and place them in the vehicle to be hauled. The driver really kept the things near the initial 300 c.f. quoted once he realized that we weren’t falling to the business scam. He even encouraged us to shoot some things from the vehicle and he put them in addition to another products. Together with the mattress contained, Mohammed did show us in which the things went into 330 c.f.. We paid the 118 gap, as we had to proceed. We can live with this. Thus, when it came time to get repayment, the driver said he can only accept money or bank draft. David said to him exactly what Steve had said so then that became an issue. Luckily, Mohammed chose a personal check and cashed it the following moment. I’ll include that Mohammed and his assistant did a wonderful job packing in all when the battle was completed.
Later, Dave’s # was flagged in the business system since he kept being put in a very long queue but once I attempted my own number while he had been to hold, I managed to make it through. We had been given so much runaround as we all attempted to get a time period to book the loading dock. I will not enter every call to the organization but naturally, my kid’s things didn’t arrive till 6/9. We did not believe that our son would ever see his things again. Communication was dreadful and occasionally non existent. We were not even there to the delivery as it was really late after the anticipated birth date.
We understood my son’s things would not be lonely on the vehicle but Steve never clarified that his things could be transferred to some other place and then added into a semi.
The afternoon before shipping, the driver said there could be an upward charge due to his semi wouldn’t fit in the whole lot. My son told him his complicated receives deliveries out of semis. The truck match, the motorist was rude however, the helper has been specialist. Just one cheap item was busted.
Hi all, I visit that a few fretting about this provider not refunding deposits. May I know if anybody has successfully got through to them as of late? Which contact number or email did you reach out for? My mails have been blocked and my calls aren’t being picked up. Thank you, I love any type of help!
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO HIRE TO MOVE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. AS SOON AS THEY GET YOUR MONEY THEY DON’T CARE. I contacted Colonial and talked to Brook, ATFIRST she had been really pleasant and answered all of my questions and whenever I phoned she picked up. They had been at my home on the afternoon they said with a call out. I then come to find out that Colonial hired a S & M RELO LLC moving firm and they attempted to charge me an additional $800 since Colonial had under quoted me for significantly less distance. Since the movers showed up at my door they stated my deposit wasn’t refundable I needed to leave furniture behind to maintain my initial quote. They shot my furniture on June 5, 2020 and that I had been told to expect my things on June 8, so I made to Texas on June 8 my belongings wasn’t here. I waited three days to phone to learn where my stuff was at and they informed me my stuff had been at a storage space waiting to have loaded into a truck and they’d call me, a week and a half later I still didn’t got a telephone call. Eventually I began to telephone Colonial again and Brook was rejecting my calls sending me to voicemail and I phoned costumer service and they weren’t answering my calls either. I predicted over 10 days and each and every time I have forwarded to voicemail or the answering machine. But when I called out of my brothers phone they replied straight away. I advised them I was planning to take legal actions if my furniture wasn’t here over the 21 days that they had legitimately to carry my stuff simply to determine that they hired a different moving firm and my furniture was in a storage space in Ohio and that I received my furniture June 22 all ruined and my boxes at which open and damaged.
I advised the first intake individual and their quality management individual (ha!) That they weren’t able to bring a massive truck up my drive. Guess what? They attracted a huge truck and billed $250 additional. When I called about this, their response was essentially”too bad”.
Colonial storage and moving LLC Horrible business to bargain with make claims they won’t maintain and take all of your cash please find somebody else don’t use this firm. Agents that Cannot come through and then do not return telephone calls or emails or whatever and obstruct one
I reserved a transfer on July 6th, paid off a enormous deposit and also on the 7th cancelled. I had been ensured by”Holly” (mails bounce today ) that I would be instantly refunded. I’ve made many calls and has been advised that the payoff is in process and could require 7-10 business days. When I call I get placed on terminal hold once being advised again that my refund is still at the works. They do not even reply. All this to maintain my 850 bucks? Throughout COVID? It is reprehensible. Tomorrow I shall spend another couple of hours and the day after and the day after that. They took my cash in a nanosecond but Won’t RETURN IT. If I could give zero stars I would. Now I made a message after being on hold using a Sarah Drummond in bookkeeping after being told that I cheated about the 13th. I’ve email evidence which I cancelled about the 7th.
Please don’t use this business, they don’t inform you about hidden cost which are incurred from the contracted movers that they ship….so my invoice was $3500.00 more then expected….they wouldn’t clarify various other fees stating it’s to complex. They’re quite tough to get a hold of to get duplicates of closing bills….their customer support is horrible. They put you on hold and leaves you waiting for ever never to go back to the telephone. Terrible, stressful encounter
Certainly the worst. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I’d give zero stars if possible. Business rep declared to me that they weren’t a broker and were the real moving business, which can be a whole lie. The driver to the firm they delegated to transfer me (called Fair and Square Transportation, that was anything but that), was assumed to emerge on June 16 or 17 that was confirmed by Colonial, but around the 15th the driver explained he couldn’t arrive then – only at the night of the 15th. I needed to make it operate. When motorist got there that he insisted that I owed an extra $360 – $250 for”long haul” and $160 for tape and shrink wrap. Driver claimed he couldn’t pull his truck to the exact straight and broad driveway so that I had to pay additional for”long haul.” Distance from the house to the truck was just 115 ft (across a level front lawn ) and also my contract stated the first 100 ft was contained in my quote. I just had a couple of pieces of furniture and also approximately 10 boxes. Cable utilized tape to wrap blankets across several pieces of furniture, and my contract also said was comprised. Driver insisted shrink wrapping was also required. As soon as I explained I wouldn’t cover, he tried to walk outside and explained he wouldn’t take my items. Told me to find another organization or lease a truck. This in the center of this COVID pandemic, once I’d pushed from Pennsylvania to Florida to package my things, and also paid a deposit months before. Since he arrived during the night, I couldn’t reach anybody in the business. I had been distressed — there wasn’t any way I could make other arrangements in there – and had no option but to consent to cover the excess cash. When my possessions had been delivered 3 weeks later, multiple objects were damaged or broken, including a classic chair and classic lamp that was wrapped in many layers of bubble wrap in a solid box. The box, which was clearly marked”delicate,” had clearly been crushed. Like I said, certainly the worst experience.
Warning! Don’t use this company to your relocation. They’re crooks in every manner and will reduce ball you at first for you to register together then increase the purchase price upon delivery. This provider also will subcontract out into another inspector without even telling you. Then these drivers might or may have some distinct rules for charging the number of feet that they need to measure when loading and unloading your products. Which you wouldn’t understand what they’re talking about since you weren’t educated. I give this business quite poor communications to its clients because of this fact they’re only poor and this is reasonable warning with them.
Don’t use this business! Luckily for us I discovered they were just a broker before booking. The sales man would phone or text each 15 minutes hoping to find a charge card number. Respectable movers don’t function like that. Remain clear of this business! I inquired In composing the sales man Joe Sullivan If they’d sub-par our movement. Joe replied in writing”They have their very own trucks and trucks”. In addition, he stated on the telephone his firm has 500 trucks across the usa and time wouldn’t be a issue. All of a lie! They’ll tell you whatever to acquire your credit card amount. Please keep off, moving is hard enough without being cheated.
We paid our deposit of over $900 for a transfer from California to Ohio. The very first agent, Eric, immediately went through the stock record upon first scheduling. Two days prior to our pickup, yet another rep phoned us to discuss a more thorough stock checklist. That made our quotation go up an additional $4,000+. He was quite pushy and rude for us to cover the rest of the deposit amount to the new quantity. After attempting to cancel, the’supervisor’ (Mike/Mark) predicted and begged us not to cancel. He explained he’d continue to keep our first quotation and offer us the excess space on the vehicle to adapt our possessions. I was reluctant but he promised it’d all work out. The evening prior to our scheduled movement , they called to reschedule. The brand new moving evening comes and they did not appear. Nobody called us. We ended up getting ahold of somebody, who had been really impolite, and place us in touch with the driver of this truck which will be arriving to us. We had been advised he told me that they were hours away from us on another job and would not function on us until at least 6pm or after. Then told by him that this firm was dishonest and it’d be in our very best interest if we simply canceled since they would not leave it out there and then that Colonial would not send anybody else. We predicted Mike/Mark back told me we needed to cancel. He, again, begged us to not cancel our transferred and he’d make certain somebody was out there on the very following day or the next day. We concurred. The following day came and nobody shows up again. We’d already canceled & rebooked flights through this stage, simply to cancel them again. We phoned Mike/Mark again and told him we were performed and required back our deposit. He cried and begged us not to cancel, to not turn them into the BBB, which he’d make certain somebody was outside to find out our things the next day or he would double our deposit refund ( far too fantastic to be true). We did not fall for it and still demanded back our refund. He wound up hanging up on us. The next Monday, a representative known to observe how our movement went. She had no album that we pinpointed, no album which nobody ever revealed. She told us she’d look into getting our refund to us. Nothing.
We called and nobody would reply. We eventually got ahold of a person following a month of trying, just to be routed to voicemail without having a call back. We’ve sent emails also, simply to be dismissed.
I would not even give this business a 1 star rating. Beware of the company! It is a shame that they do so for people, particularly through a pandemic, and much more so to military families such as mine.
The moving company was set off my pickup two. They need to have chosen my possessions a week, and this past week, and today they would like to set it off till next week. I prolonged my leave from work for a week already and now they need me to do it again? I’ve spoken with 6 distinct people in the business, all of whom say that they will move my concerns/requests on to somebody else through email and someone will get me back. Repeatedly nobody has ever called me back. Additionally, they’ve been telling me of extra fees (weeks after after making my reservation) that I am going to need to cover the number of stairs thy need to carry, amount of feet in the vehicle, storage if they can not do it once maintained, etc., etc., etc.. I eventually cancelled my order that the eve of if my next assured pick up date because they wish to set me off an additional week. I won’t ever deal with them again. You’re in for a good deal of frustration, anger, disappointment and of course energy, as well as cash, if you opt for this business. Buyer beware!
How businesses continue to be permitted to work this way is amazing.
My fault ought to have checked out everything first but not new the title of the business till I had their own paperwork in my hands.
Did an online search first. First error.
Believed sales pitch that they weren’t agents. Colonial movers I believe from FL. Receive a quotation of 1900 for 80 boxes plus two tsp of granite. So everybody knew about the granite.
They send the mf’ers into our home at WA. Look on our stuff, also stated they need 4800.
I said no thanks I will move itself. Phone back with $3000 and now we must sign a waiver to get the granite. I am in AZ at the stage so said okay. They left in two hours that my son who had been there calls stating they abandoned the granite.
They predicted and need 1/2 the cash Venmo. I stated when are you returning to your granite, everywhere they state. Okay that is when I will send the cash. The nightmare and extortion begins. They now say the can not do exactly the granite and I stated if this was the situation they ought to have stated prior to taking my things. So make it backagain. Okay for 1000. No Therefore I predict the agent no aid your in your own and we are maintaining your own $700 deposit.
After a few telephone calls has been advised you pick up it you’ll have it no cost.
My son reunite into WA lease a truck receive the granite and telephone for a speech. Told he needs $500. Talk him to $300.
Telephone authorities called bank spoke into the storage location nobody will help. Paid the 300 and got my own things. Attempting to stop 700 deposit because I utilized my cc.
I had been moving out of Nevada into TX and I had been informed by Stephen that the things would be picked up before or on Sept 3rd. Never occurred. I abandoned Nevada because my job was moved to RR Texas and it so happened daily when I predicted it was exactly the exact responses, we’re scheduling from Kyle, James and Marcus and Matthew. It doesn’t seem as if anybody is aware of what they’re performing in Colonial Vanlines. I eventually discovered a vanline to transfer my items in under 24hrs that Colonial was awkward in performing and predicted to cancel my purchase. This was Sept 13th 2011 and that I still have not got my refund. You’re quick to request a deposit and you also ought to cover me asap.
I won’t be advocating Colonial to anybody and will probably be taking this into a lawyer for damages.
Five stars.the business repetitions, michele, paul and carol have been in continuous touch double assessing everything.even referred to as mid moving day.scott out of a1 transferring was meticulous and his teams were quite hard working and eficient.showed up on time equally days. And our final invoice was 750.00$ lesser compared to estimate.nothing broken scratched etc nothing missing.stress elimination,a simple move.
My company chose to blessed me with an exceptional job chance if I’d move from Nevada into California. The move was completely liberated in my behalf, on account of how my firm made a decision to cover the whole move. Despite the fact that my company was paying for the transfer, I needed them to conserve as much cash as you can.
Over the span of 3 days, I had been contacted by a large number of moving businesses, all promising to give me the very best transfer possible.
After I had been contacted by Eric H out of Colonial Moving and Storage, I knew I had the Ideal Business. Eric H was quite knowledgeable about the shifting experience I’d have and he had been totally honest with each one of the questions I’d asked. The best thing about the transfer was getting all of my cherished possessions the specific way I’d abandoned them in Nevada; at 1 bit, no damages in any way. And of course I saved my business a couple hundred, or even a million bucks.
Offering you Colonial Moving and Storage. Thank you Eric H. If you’d like a knowledgeable Sales Associate, request Eric H. I guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed in the least bit.
I had a terrific experience with Colonial Transferring and would recommend to family and friends.
The sales associate was professional and kind. When they arrived to pick up my furniture that the team was respectful and attentive. When they fell off they put my things where I checked and asked them to make certain that there were no damages. I was quite impressed.
