Among the most sloppy, rude, and ineffective companies I’ve ever come into contact with.
1. I had been quoted $4,489.20, after my possessions got packaged (by a totally different business, which also happened to be their rival, Hercules Moving), I had been awarded the cost of $7,138.00. This was after I upgraded my packing checklist to detail what I possessed. Don’t think their estimates!
2. They showed up two weeks prior to their specified”pickup window” without a warning nor apology.
3. They offered 4-7 weeks for shipping by New York to Hawaii. It’s now been 8 months with still no reply on if my material arrives. My stuff had been waiting in the LA interface for more than 5 months, since they allegedly needed me to complete a form to load it on the Matson Ship. This was never conveyed to me by either my accounts supervisor (still don’t have any clue what this individual does) or the dispatch staff. Rather I had been berated by their team explaining that it had been my fault, not theirs.
4. The business is so big that the account supervisor has no idea how the rest of the provider works or ways to get ahold of them. Their telephone numbers kept shifting, with their excuse that they were altering phone companies. Regrettably, when they’ve my items hostage- I’d wish to learn how to get hold of them. Know that City Moving is just a booking firm, so that they make claims that they frequently don’t have the capacity to create. This is quite frustrating.
5. No client services. They’re rude, frequently only giving the term”that isn’t the way things are done around here” instead of knowing I’m a top paying client which needs to be handled as such. When asked what I need to do, my accounts supervisor said there’s nothing that he nor the firm can perform, but might recommend writing bad recommendations- that’s the only means they’ll hear you. So here I am.
We had been going in SLC to Kauai, Hawaii. We had been advised that they take good care of outside island imports also it had been included in the purchase price. Not correct. They called me about the afternoon of our dispatch coming to Honolulu and said I needed to be there in person to get the cargo and send them into the youthful brother (totally another firm ) in my own cost. Over last two months, I’ve called them several times, indicating my shipping address is at Kauai, maybe not Oahu. In case this was my mistake, someone should have fixed me. However, nobody reacted nor adjusted that until the afternoon of my shipment coming. No apology has been given.
