I’d love to say Thanks for such outstanding support. Mr.Charles helped me get the very best moving experience from California to Texas. In addition, he gave an amazing price. I strongly recommend their services to anybody going. They certainly make the hassle of going rewarding. They work closely together with you and make sure that everything coming along flawlessly.
My spouse and I picked Century vanlines after reviewing a lot of distinct businesses. Had good communication together , and they kept us updated once they have held up for 1 hour in traffic. Our cost stayed the same from initially nominated, and all of our possessions arrived undamaged. Surely not going yet another movement, but we’d refer them to relatives members and friends.
Quick,professional, and incredibly attentive…. Worth every cent…
I had far more things then exactly what I believed, and they worked a terrific deal for me personally.
Fantastic communication and service threw the Entire movement thanks a whole lot to office team: Verina, Ronnie and Yaron…
I reserved my moving encounter with no regrets from century….they were pleasent, type and knew what I wanted out of them. I did however wind up paying $280 longer due to additional cargo I did not take into account but they came just one day and 5 hours earlier than expected which was a wonderful surprise! Highly recommend them and will certainly use them again!
Moved my loved ones from California to Texas a couple weeks back and picked Century Vanlines. We had been a little reluctant, but after talking with somebody from the business, I went ahead and reserved them for our relocation. Good solutions, friendly, professional and managed my possessions with care. Pickup and delivery went well, and I don’t have any complaints. Thanks again guys, I will definitely refer your company to friends and loved ones.
I was really worried in my furnitures however specialy concerning my grand piano however they took really good care of this .wreping and crating on the place, they’d all of the intennded packaging supply about the truck witch stored Lots of running about…. I needed to call a Few times to Learn if it will be sent. The workplace was very useful, The guy that eventually delivered it had been fantastic and very useful and kind. I’d use them again.
I needed to just relocate for job, I needed to make an whole 3 bedroom flat somehow get across state within a two week interval. . I shopped around but I adored Xavier’s quick answers and also his honesty. He explained exactly what to expect so I was ready for the worst. Happily the worst did not happen, but I’d recommend these guys to anybody. He for want of a better saying literally held my hand during the whole procedure.
I’m originally from Spokane,Washington. But chose to go out east on your work. Now I Reside at Hartford, Connecticut. Unfortunately my mom passed away and that I wanted several of her heirlooms to be hauled to my home in Connecticut. I thought to take action myself with u-haul and was planning to make the long trip back. But then chose to observe just how much could it cost me to hire professional movers to transfer the things and I’d return. Therefore I got a call from my buddy Shawn over at Century Vanlines and boy was I happy. He said to me that the petrol alone could cost me roughly $1800 which wasn’t including each of the nation tolls and other costs, also to lease the truck was 1300. So I figured why not lets give him a shot.He ensured me that my mum’s irreplaceable items could be correctly blanketed and cared for and that I felt fantastic. He had been also as good as his first word. My items came without a scratch, so I am quite content. I even offered to send him a gift card, which he collapsed. Overall I’m elated with all the fantastic work.
Yeah so I was searching for a moving company to assist me along with my move for work. I had been hesitant by which company to pick from. After careful consideration and many conversations with Shawn, I opted to relocate with Century Vanlines Inc.. Not only did he meticulously describe exactly what was happening but he treated me with courtesy and respect. My possessions came on time and exactly the same state which I packed them in. Overall a fantastic experience, I’ll recommend this company to all of my buddies. Continue the Fantastic job Century Vanlines Inc.
Hi Guys,
I’m not really one to write testimonials, but following the remarkable task that occured I simply could not help itself. I’m over 50 years old and have to have transferred across state lines at least twice before. In all of my years never did I encounter this kind of fantastic revenue Cervical His name was Shawn and that he actually did a wonderful job. I am somewhat hard of hearing at the moment and that he explained everything to me personally, mulltiple times. He was quite patient and that I knew I was in great hands. When the men showed up that they had been professional and treated me with respect. The quotation I recieved on the telephone was the specific same amount that transfer cost me. As I said I’m not new to the and had my share of horrible experiences. Some destroyed my things, others improved he up cost. None of this occurred with Century Vanlines. I’m extremely pleased with their customer service and immediate shipping time. Thank you!! :-RRB-
Thank you century VanLines for making my trip to New York that the very best experience possible I presumed moving that way is a nightmare I’ve moved a few times but not this much but century VanLines made me feel confident that it’d be ok. Their employees are extremely fine men, they’re hard working and they handled my furniture with care. Thank you I’ll suggest them to anybody.
I had to proceed from Nevada to Washington to get a new occupation. Additionally, I wanted all of my things packed and all moved in my new apartment at Washington. I phoned century for quotation plus they gave me an unbeatable cost I couldn’t resist. When the time arrived to pack all of my things and move it for my brand new flat and they were quite cautious with all of my delicate things. They adhered to their word about pricing no adjustments and no additional charges. I have only wonderful things to say about this particular company I would certainly use them again also I strongly suggest them.
I am attempting to initiate a fresh life in NY and also I had a good deal of things that I wanted and wished to carry with me. My sister indicated Vanlines to me personally since she’d used them before when she moved to NY and that she had no issues together. I’ve had poor experiences with additional moving companies before so that I was somewhat nervous. But thankfully they have been careful and reliable with all of my possessions. Everything came on time and in excellent condition. Additionally, they have been considerate of my needs and worked fast. I’d certainly recommend them to anybody who wants a moving business.
I needed to proceed from Nevada into Utah. I had been contacted by the corporation’s representative once I filed my information via shifting site services. I had been contacted with several moving companies that provided the exact general support. I consulted with my buddy that had lately moved, and she explained she had a dreadful experience with another business and to essentially do my study and also to be somewhat attentive. She advised me to not give into the businesses offering cheaper pricing, since they don’t necessarily guarantee excellent support. Once I talked with my father and asked him for assistance we picked Century Vanlines since they’re highly rated in the Better Business Bureau. Though I ended up spending roughly 30 percent over some other estimates, the support was good and that I felt comfortable knowing that my own possessions would arrive safely in my new home.
WARNING ABOUT USING CENTURY VANLINES! IT’S NOT HAPPY MOVING WITH THIS COMPANY! The sales guy said he’d be there for his entire movement not true..When I phoned him to record it he’d not call back. The entire proceeding experience was awful. . They predicted and attempted to appear sooner then chased giving me a 2 hour notice if they were designed to appear the following moment. The man filling from the bill of lading attempted to convince me to sign blank forms I told him that I do not sign anything sterile. . .they full of codes which stated my furniture has been chipped/scratched I advised the mover that is not accurate he stated they need to fill out it the way to shield themselves so I left a note about the contract prior to signing. Very unethical practice in their own part. Had difficulty having a set period for shipping times were constantly transferred. TOTALLY DISORGANIZED Business. Shipping was a true DISASTER THEY UNWRAPPED THE PADDED FURNITURE ON THE PAVEMENT which chipped and scraped all of my solid pine furniture. A couple of bits of my furniture and my mattress frame came up lost…I’d images of what so called and emailed the images to costumer services. . .they then handily located them. After the inspector delivered they attempted to things and induce my three seat couch through the doorway my buddy who had been seeing had to teach them how to receive it throughout the door..some of these movers didn’t talk English. . .the movers certainly weren’t trained movers. They plopped my queen size mattress and box spring around the bedroom floor together with the framework and abandoned. . I needed to call customer support to locate my framework and have them return. . They did a bad job building the furniture..very cluttered unprofessional job all the way round. BOTTOM LINE I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF RENTING A U HAUL AND HIRED MY OWN PEOPLE TO LOAD AND DRIVE IT MYSELF AT LEAST MY GOODS WOULD BE IN TACT AND GET FROM A TO B in Time! AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN CHEAPER! PAID WAY TO MUCH FOR STRESSFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL CARELESS SERVICE. WILL NEVER USE THIS SO CALLED MOVING COMPANY AGAIN! I FILED A COMPLAINT AND REVIEW WITH THE BBB ALSO! THEN CENTURY VANLINES CAME BACK WITH THE ANSWER THAT I WAS NEVER A CUSTOMER! SO that I SCANED AND SENT THE BBB MY CONTRACT. ATTORNEY GENERAL Should LOOK INTO THIER DISHONEST BILL OF LADING PRACTICE AND THE LABOR DEPT. AND IMMIGRATION NEEDS TOO LOOK INTO WHO THEY HIRE! WILL BE MY NEXT COMPLAINT.
Among the very dishonest company and workers, were forced to Provide a score, they shouldn’t be in almost any company whatsoever
Expensive stolen things, items in bits guaranteed to restore before leaving. Won’t return calls! Transferring on 1 month because move!Move date 2-16-14-California into Arizona Original price $5000 to package and move us with as many as 2 weeks free storage in vegas climate controlled facility. Payment at the time of shipping. 2 guys arrived to package 10 am. We had been guaranteed 6-8 individuals to pack up us. They came in a 20-24′ van box truck. At roughly 1-2 pm two more guys came. Steve and Sean. Steve went throughout the home and stated this job was not able to be done for this quantity and price went up to $10,000.00. After much discussion (hours)and also nearly all of our items already on a primary truck we agreed about $9200.00. We’d more than initially stated on their quote. We gave them $700.00 down and balance due upon delivery. At this time the next bigger truck was likely to be shipped out of Las Vegas that did came at 11:00pm that was just a driver. This truck has been the identical dimension as the first truck. This very first truck left at about the time the next truck came leaving just 3 individuals to complete packing us. At approximately 1 am Sean left leaving just Steve and Red to complete all. We discovered they were carrying everything entirely apart to fit in to truck. When questioned Steve explained all could be reassembled when delivered to us. The following day it became clear that we would be unable to find everything into this truck so that my Husband and I needed to lease a u-haul trailer to transport that which wouldn’t match. We also had to rent a storage facility once we arrived. There was a delay in brand new house closing preventing rapid shipping! Owners beginning harassing us 4000 partial payment plus they’d all our possessions. Storage was assumed to be as many as 2 weeks free. Became very irate together as we said we would be unable to to this before delivery. Eventually after scaring us into payment we gave them $4000 payment. (scaring us wasn’t giving us our possessions ) Delivery-March 27, 2014-Made us offer them money balance of $4500.00 until they’d start earning our items. They promised all could be reassembled at the time of shipping because everything was completely taken apart. It became obvious (late at night) that they weren’t likely to place our 3 channel weight machine back together and guaranteed to get in contact with a business out here in order to put back together in their cost. They never did so. We’re missing many things such as 2 ladders, gas mill, free standing pine jewelry box along with sterling silver & silver plated serving pieces together with all of formal dining cloths, napkins and various napkin holders. Many glass things broken and Ron stated he’d replace. They need us to proceed through their insurance company which pays 60 cents a pound. A number of these things we think were stolen. They packaged these items and were broken or taken. A $450.00 beveled mirror broken, weathered glass front broken, many glass table tops broken, many wall litho’s glass split, gouges from a number of our bits of timber furniture. Tools lost that have been borrowed to disassemble household items. My husband told them among those dollies that they had been using was ours and also to be certain they abandon it. They took it together. Picnic table laying outside in lawn in bits. Missing mounts to maintain mirror on bedroom furniture. They promised anything incorrect to get hold of them and they’d surely handled all. I believe these folks deliberatley miss tackled our house and have obtained what they wanted! They won’t contact us. Many calls for owners Ron and Aaron but neither one has called back us. I also have reported this business to the better business bureau! Pick up was overdue, gave us a time they’d be there and revealed 2 hrs late. Cost was also bumped up by $1,000 once they loaded everything into the vehicle. Showed up 3 times later then guaranteed. When they eventually came we paid then discovered that they employ people from craigslist to purge things. The hired aid never revealed. Regaining my husband, his buddy, and also the driver to unload the vehicle so we did not need to wait much longer for all our things. Boxes were all DESTROYED! Many things missing or broken. Around $1,000 in compensation. When I called the office about obtaining a partial refund they shot down my info and said they’d speak with the supervisor. An hr after I receive a call in the driver alerting me, wondering why I am calling the business about it. Telephone the office to notify them. The boss gets to the telephone begins to shout me saying we should’ve never assisted, that it is our fault, we are not getting some cash, and also never to call the amount then hangs me up. Worst company ever!! I’ve got more images of compensation and the way that things returned if you’d love to view them.
Century Van Lines began by calling and calling our telephone calls and returning them while they had been trying to market their expert services. I needed to place a deposit down to book a move date. Following our deposit has been made the firm stopped returning telephone calls and we have made many calls to the enterprise to modify information. After we could confirm information that was not delivered to us who said they’d have the ability to find out our family products on Friday March 7th and send them to our newest address three times later on March 10th (Monday) since they could just drive 500 miles each day by business regulations said. We agreed upon such dates after which we received a telephone call and informed us that they had been actually showing up a day early to package our things. After being billed an extra charge for using credit card later it wasn’t stated that I had cash/check I was likewise charged to ship up loose things I wasn’t told had to be packaged. I was also not informed that not one of my things would be dealt with under breakable insurance since they didn’t package them. The business showed up a day early to package our things and we had been advised to maintain our following speech Monday in 8-10am for shipping. The movers jumped to fall down boxes down the stairs and then break all of my plates that they said were improperly packed. They weren’t packaged to be lost down the flight of stairs and only appeared as though it was left and nothing cracked dishes down the stairs in my apartment. We also were advised to sign paperwork which enabled our belongings to be saved which we stated we did not need and they stated it was only to unload the vehicle and truck in Las Vegas that wasn’t correct. We predicted to confirm on Sunday that our things were in path and that they would be coming at 8am Monday and they stated that it would be 14-21 business days ahead of our things could be sent. After trying to follow up every day for somebody to answer our phone, phoning supervisors, shipment, warehouses without any one calling us back we needed to get a grasp of customer service eventually x104 and needed a youthful girl help us who really returned our phone that stated our things would be sent between 24-28th of March but likely nearer to the 28th. Following word of this came outside and (half of that which had been left was compensated into the firm at the time of pickup ) we made plans to see family for the weekend so that we might be accessible as soon as the movers were still coming. We had been known as the day before we were going to be informed that our things are there on March 20th overdue or March 21st early. We waited till morning of March 21st ancient if the movers did not show up we moved on our trip and were informed it would not be till late on the 21st that our items could be sent. After ensuring all of our things had produced it from vegas warehouse we discovered that we were overlooking a nightstand and also three extra boxes. We tried calling the provider once more but nobody will return our requirements. The services are paid in full and we have been required to take a few extra days off function for movers that stated they are there at specific times and haven’t shown up. Not only have we searching for solutions guaranteed but We’ve broken things, missing things and nobody to get for Assistance. 900 over offered cost.
We proposed six months beforehand and if it arrived to the pickup date, over Saturday june 14, THEY NEVER CAME. We had been advised that we’d find a telephone call prior to the pickup but we didn’t get any calls. We tried phoning but nobody picked up. Eventually on monday they chose up and advised me that they’d lost the work!! They advised us that they didn’t have a van at Portland so that they chose the day before which were not likely to shoot on our occupation WITHOUT NOTIFYING US. This is a DISASTER! Never ever use century van traces. They’re completely undependable. When a company takes on a project it’s anticipated that they follow through but rather century van traces left us hanging and screwed us over. This firm a MESS. I’ve truly never been more disappointed. Companies without a duty shouldn’t be in business in any respect.
This Firm will lie and decieve the customer from the beginning. I was intitally advised that my delivery would occur in 4-5 days. . .LIE! When I called I was LIED to by many workers! I had been told my furnishings were on course. . .LIE. Called again two days after. . .my furnishings were still in warehouse..due to send tomorrow..again LIE. This calling/shipping situation went on for Many weeks. Was eventually connected with RON (VP). Were ensured that the situation has been remedied. Offered 150.00 in reimbursement! What??? Let us see… you maintained 5 times sending, first quotation was 1300.00 and that travelled up to 2,700.00 if your organization showed up and that I had no other Alternatives. Shipping was two weeks beyond the Most Recent possible delivery date. My furniture has been ruined. . .need I say more? Please email me if you’d like additional information or images of my ruined furniture!
When I first reached out earnings man seemed favorable. Everything was nice and that I felt quite good about it. I even transferred the deposit number to get a Sunday pickup from Utah to Colorado [asked for Saturday but had been supported for Sunday]. And then on Sunday nobody turned upward!! I had been hoping to reach someone on the telephone but I was getting a message stating running hours are from Monday to Friday only. After few attempts I managed to make it through to shipment department. And to my surprise that the individual advised that pickup date in Monday not Sunday. The announcement I signed nevertheless revealed Sunday. I was much disappointed but supported with the individual who Monday pickup is closing and they won’t be overlooking it. On Monday, I was able to contact dispatch individual and they said that they could check and call me right back again. Then after 30 minutes, because there wasn’t any answer I tried hitting again and failed numerous times. However, I managed to find sales man who had been friendly and stated he is going to be assessing and confirming back soon. Then, in my absolute frustration, even after two weeks passed I did not receive any answer. I tried reaching them again, fell a email to sales man but got no reply till multipel tries simply to receive a reply from the shipment person saying they’ll return the deposit sum. No apology no excuse. They even said they wont affirm that on email. I tried phoning the sales man again hoping to request some explanation in minimum and was dismissed again. In Summary, I’m never ever going to utilize their support in future and information the Exact Same to everyone I understand…
All this business will do is LIE, LIE & LIE some more. Very untrue & deceptive. All that they do is take your cash & see to the costumer such as [EDIT]. I’m extremely disappointed with this particular moving business. They picked up my possessions 3/27/14 & asked me when I needed them delivered I told them Saturday 3/29/14, Saturday arrived and they never called or showed up. I phoned them for several days plus they gave me the run around & would not return my calls. Eventually I talk to Xavier & he informs me that my stuff will be on it’s way and that I shall find a discount,” LIE!!!!! So I requested to talk to the guy in control I talked to a guy called RON & he had been nothing but a disrespectful JERK! They told me that my things could arrive Thursday and that I was alright with this & inquired about the reduction RON got angry, called me a liar & said I was not getting a reduction & cried at me & told me how to conduct his company since I believe I really could do it easier….which I know for a fact I might cause I obtained a soul & wouldn’t con anybody like century van lines does. My items arrives Thursday at the evening about 7pm they’d all of my things jam packed into a big semi that could not fit into the storage thus not only did I must pay them the 581 I needed to cover them an extra $200 reason their idiotic ass truck could not match. This firm should he humiliated & I pray GOD deals together cause all of the greed & dishonestly that they disclosed was sickening. Complete price $1581 as it was just assumed to be 1200. PS: MY KITCHEN TABLE LEG IS BROKEN & IM UNABLE TO Repair It!
Please listen!! This isn’t a legitimate moving company – since they claim to be!! If you’re thinking about using them – I beg you to reconsider…I made the mistake of ignoring preceding testimonials. I obtained a quotation by the salesman for $2400 to maneuver from Ca to Ut. This was based on my quote of things in the house (first error!) A legitimate business will ship and assessor. I explained approx 80 percent of the things in my house and that he said it should not be over 850cf and when it had been shut it’d be”no big deal”. I gave my 25 percent deposit on the telephone and did not think twice about it until the moving day. I had been scheduled to get my own home filled on 6/14. They called and asked if they might come a day early at 8am. I had been reluctant but they were consistent so I consented. When nobody had came by 10a I phoned and they stated they had been having truck issues and were seven hours off. They did not arrive till 530p. Upon coming two workers hopped from an unmarked truck at gym shorts and cut off shirts. They came in and stated that there could be a packaging fee to wrap my furniture. (I’d packed my whole house in boxes and asked the salesman when the things I revealed on the shape, like TVs were contained to be wrapped. . .he stated yes). The loaders stated they were not and requested for $1500 to wrap my things. We begrudgingly agreed to $650 since we had been closing on the home and needed to be out by the following day. The following issue we had was with fundamental disassembly of furniture (beds, tables, sofas etc). This was contained in the contract and I’d agreed to cover it since I didn’t wish to get it done. As soon as I revealed the loader what had to be uninstalled, they stated they did not bring tools! They left me unpack my toolbox and they borrowed them to disassemble 1 table. I needed to disassemble everything else myself! At about 11pm I discovered that they weren’t even halfway finished. . .they requested my buddy and I to assist them! (Again I paid since I did not wish to maneuver myself). I loaded likely 20 percent of the truck myself. When they were completed (1am!!) They said I’d over The salesman believed, which my brand new cost would be 5300!! Massive gain from the $2400 I had been told formerly….definitely a bait and switch on the market and they do not provide enough workers to load you economically. The employees are nice and hard working but somewhat tough to have around children (graphic clothes, swear a whole lot, etc). I called to complain about this owner/manager and has been advised that he wasn’t worried and that they wouldn’t be ignoring the price of their delivery or refunding some of the labour I had been requested to execute. I have since filed a BBB complaint. Please cover less and go with a respectable business. Or twice all the salesman quotations you and you’re going to come close.
I had been promised a quotation in my transfer and undoubtedly it was $500 more than what was agreed. The business charged my bank account twice to get the first deposit, which brought my accounts by $100!! I have talked to customer support several times and they’ve yet to do anything else about it! My delivery was supposed to arrive on May 9th at noon and that I did not really get it until May 14th at 5:00pm. The driver of the truck did not even work for the organization and he must find his own assistance to unload. The aid he discovered never showed up, so that I needed to unload the truck myself! At least 35 percent of my things were broken beyond repair. All of my items were blended with somebody else’s possessions, so who knows exactly what I am missing! I hurt myself attempting to unload a major truck by myself. I could not reach anybody in the business, so I had been made to cover my balance of over $1300 for broken things and performing all of the work myself. Here is the worst business EVER and I won’t stop until something is done!! I had my little girls crying because their stuff was coming from the truck ruined! I am so mad with this organization and won’t ever refer them to anybody!!!
I STRONGLY advise against entering into business using Century Vanlines — NV. They’re a very low volume, poorly arranged, dishonest, and disreputable agency with no feeling of ethical compass or guilt. STEER CLEAR. I made a decision to utilize Century Vanlines NV, according to their claim that they might deliver within 3-5 days. They promised me that the 21 day periods were only”legal jargon” there to shield them and that they might send in 3-5 days. “Your stuff has been packed into a truck and moving straight to Oregon. It’s our very first fall off, there isn’t anything that can delay your movement, sweetheart, besides a flat tire or a car collision. The night that they picked up my things they came 12 hours late, at 8PM and they functioned until 1AM. I was quite uneasy as a young girl, alone. As they were leaving, I requested”Headed to Oregon?” They answered”No way, we are headed back to Vegas, your stuff is moving into storage until we’ve got a truck headed to Oregon.” The next 3 months were hell. When they eventually came, 20 days after, they’d dropped my kitchen table, my lamp and a few of my own boxes. 7 things were broken, and my mattress was bloated and filthy, and also my mattress framework was missing a crucial part that made it impossible to build. It had been the WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I called the manager and told him”Sir, the promise I file along with your section needs to be the least of the worries. I will contact the BBB and the Interstate shifting authority. I will write about this adventure on each social websites and review website I will find. I will be sure as many people as you can hear about this adventure, since I refuse to allow your badly conduct, sham of a company do those injustices to some other person because I decided to remain quiet. You will repent to cavalier attitude and lack luster efforts that you put into assist me these last 3 months — YOU HAD NO IDEA WHO YOU WERE SCREWING OVER.” So here I am, first review of many to come. Again, STEER CLEAR.
Don’t one to take some opportunity to perform reviews. I only believe lIke the entire world needs to hear of my expertise. Century Van Lines Lines will be the most unprofessional and unethical business I’ve ever worked with also has failed to look after my things.
They neglected to place in the contract that the 5 percent commission with a credit card that I told them in the start I’d use. They attempted to spring that on me about the day of pickup. The man shifting me says – oh by the way in which there’s a 5 percent commission for cc. Additionally most of us recognize that cc prices are just 2.5-2.9 percent. They earn money on the commission! As soon as I dealt with the proprietor Ron- he yelled in my then tried to apologize and afterward stated he was planning to alter the contract ASAP.
They get my things to storage along with the leg in my sofa – there’s a significant chunk taken from it and the framework is broken. They also missing a bit to my own designer seat that’s required to sit down on it. As soon as I dealt with the proprietor Ron – that he said oh it was only a nick in the leg and then that is it. He cried again at me and then hung me up.
His professionalism is totally outside the window. I won’t ever use this provider again. I am complately shocked at how that he yelled at me two and has been wrapped up on.
My cc business is assisting me to attempt to find some cash for the damages but who knows how that’ll turn out. If I could keep 1 person from undergoing exactly what I failed then this inspection is well worth it to me personally.
This company is unethical and committed fraud with us. Xavier was the salesperson that predicted us to solicit our organization. He offered us a price that has been based on quote by us of exactly what we needed to proceed. We told him that our home was 3200 sq feet and we had a 40 foot trailer. He said okay, gave us a cost which we believed too low. After speaking with him he uttered the quotation by $1,000 that we still thought could be somewhat low but because we’d told him we’d require a 40 feet trailer we figured that he ought to know. Establish date of June 20, 2014 for movers to maintain our property. Two days earlier received a telephone from Tally who stated movers are there June 21, 2014. We told her we had it set for June 20th and could not be June 21st as purchasers of our home would do walk during that day. Also confirmed a 40 feet trailer was being shipped and she stated no a 26 feet truck was being shipped. Told her it was too little and she said to not worry they understood exactly what they were doing. E sent and called Xavier about truck dimensions and he said he’d look after it and return to me. The following moring the motorist at a 26 feet truck revealed at 10:00 am 2 hrs late and 1/4 filled with other people’s stuff. We informed him it was not enough space. . .he assured us he can make it work. I put emails and telephone calls for Xavier and Tally and nobody replied either. At 11 pm the day that he pulled away out of our home with a single pair of our beds strapped to the rear of the vehicle and billed us for the complete truck because mattresses were on back despite other individuals things being around the truck. He did not take everything so we ended up having to scramble to have a trailer to move the rest ourselves. We needed to outside of our home in 2 weeks as it closed escrow daily so we believed we had been stuck in the moment. We had been quoted $4500.00 and was charged $6703.50. We were charged extra for packaging stuff for those things we had been advised they looked after at the purchase price of this transfer. We packed our things ourselves except for a few of large furniture pieces we had been advised by Xavier were comprised in the purchase price of this transfer. July 9, 2014 Jordan Logistics, a firm Century Van Lines subcontracted with, (their site says they don’t subcontract) shows up in our home at Twin Falls Idaho using a semi pulling two 40 foot trailers. They refused to even park their truck before our home and start the trailer doors till we paid them the equilibrium in either money or postal money orders (you can’t set a stop payment on a postal money order). They simply let a small bit of space in the rear of one of the trailers because of our items so they didn’t attract about 1/3 of exactly what Century Van Lines transferred from our property. They wouldn’t return any part of the money we just paid them when asked by us because they didn’t have all our items and Tally at Century Van Lines stated she didn’t jurisdiction to get them do this along with also her boss was on holiday. We attempted to operate with Century Van Lines from July 9 to August 26 to find the rest of our things but they had been attempting to be economical and wanting to piggy them back with another movement. We eventually drove to Las Vegas leased a 1 way trailer and pickup our things ourselves. There’s a lot of harm to our own furniture and items. . .gouged, scratched, broken, and dented. . .it is actually beyond belief. Centuiry Van Lines Contract says they had been to send within 21 business days of picking up our products or they had to pay us $35 daily for regular until they did provide. So far we haven’t got any cash from them or a refund of the shifting charges we paid them. The warehouse isn’t anything such as on their site. It’s only a massive open warehouse, today shelves, no company to it. It’s filled full of people’s family products. They have everything piled into a pyramid on pallets and shrink wrapped. There has to be many such as us that didn’t get their products. It was mad. When you see the way that it’s piled it’s no wonder all of the harm to things. I wonder how a lot people are frauded by this firm? If you look up their firm online it’s a 1 man performance….the same individual would be the owner, president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and board of supervisors with no one else. They’re a dreadful moving business that has to be halted from frauded others. The info on their site is a entire sham. What they have on there couldn’t be farther from the fact of our expertise together. We registered complaints with The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (we’ve not heard back yet), the Nevada BBB (who’s contacted them to get a reply ), the Idaho State Attorney General’s Office (who’s contacted them to get a reply before it decides how to move ) and the Nevada Attorney General’s Office (we haven’t heard back from them yet). In addition, we intend on submitting a complaint with the California Attorney General’s Office because we signed the contract at California and our furniture has been picked up there now, small claims court and expecting to find some television press focus. Any of you who had had bad experiences with this company might also wish to do the same. While we need a huge part of our cash back because we needed to not just move some of our items ourselves, we also had to go to Las Vegas to Century Van Line’s warehouse and get a major part of what they did proceed, we would like to stop them from doing so to anybody. They’re not the firm they depict to be and don’t maintain their end of their contract. Any of you lost your items should take a visit to their own warehouse in vegas. Should you wait around for them to send, it might never happen. From what we can see, we don’t think they have the amount of trucks and dimensions of trucks to perform the business they’re registering for. So beware of conducting business together. They’re the Kind of business that tarnishes all moving businesses. We wish we’d seen this site before signing up together. Additionally the BBB’s evaluation of these was A-. . .what a joke. 1 final thing. . .we are also overlooking some things which will likely never be discovered. If you watched the warehouse, then you would understand why. 1 pallet of our products was colour coded wrong and when I hadn’t recognized some things sticking out on the top we’d have abandoned without those things, among these being our fridge we’d been without for over two months! Beware.
Century Van Lines is a dishonest and unprofessional moving firm. My pickup was 3 days late forcing me to cover fees for after key return of condominium. Just two guys showed up to load the truck forcing me to be there with them and simply load the truck for 6 hours. (I’m a girl )
My first quote which has been done by Xavier comprised 45 days of free storage that was a LIE and was afterwards increased in the pickup. A total of 900.00 more bucks than initially quoted! I was subsequently charged for storage monthly of 380.00 although dispatch should have occurred in 45 days.
After booking a delivery eventually after months of torture and is located by Tally & Ronnie my delivery had been scheduled after which I was told that they had been going out of business and my delivery would need to take place at the time and no adjustments might be made. Not only did they return early to the delivery that they broke things which were already at my new home (Light Fixtures) contending with my parents rather than putting back together things that they had shot apart. Offering to just pay my mom 10.00 for the broken light fixtures.
I could say more about this organization but as I sort I find myself becoming super psychological over the awful customer support along with the AWFUL company practices this business has! I Am Quite Happy to have my possessions today but that this experience has taught me to NEVER trust a different person or firm with my loved ones most valuable things. I am hoping that the business has gone out of business since I’d hate to see another family go through what I have endured!
All of my boxes have been opened and re taped and gone through and matters were shot. My perfectly functioning 62 inch tv no longer functions… Save yourself the hassle and don’t CHOOSE CENTURY VAN LINES!
We moved from New Jersey to Arizona at 2011. We moved back to New Jersey on 6/30/14. We’re now Searching for a home in New Jersey therefore our possessions are in storage with Century Van Line at Las Vegas, NV. When I originally contacted them regarding the transfer in late March, 2014 I advised Xavier that I had been amenable to a in-house stock until they quoted but that I also had a thorough inventory list in the movers who’d transferred us at 2011. I also told them that very little had changed as 2011, actually on a volume basis we’d trashed or contributed more things that we’d obtained because the 2011 transfer. Xavier explained an in house stock wouldn’t be necessary, he’d work together with the 2011 stock checklist. With this foundation on 4/1/14 he offered a entire cost of $$5,825.25 which comprised one completely free month of storage along with an extra 2 months storage for $350.00. The quotation also contained a reduction of $325.75 to create his bid aggressive with other people I’d received. This quotation was predicated on 1,236 cubic feet, exactly the exact same amount calculated by the 2011 Agency depending on the actual load in their truck. I then prepared a revised inventory of those things, just two or three furniture things had shifted, the thing count was exactly the same. The box count increased slightly just because we heard in the 2011 movement to use bigger boxes, simpler to lift and package snugly from the truck. Additionally in many telephone conversations with Xavier he firstly, agreed that the new and old stock lists were almost the exact same and second assured me that each and every furniture things could be wrapped in blankets at no additional charge.
Now includes moving day, 6/30/14 and Mike and a single helper came with a truck, barely what I anticipated to move a three bedroom flat. Mike wasn’t in the flat 5 minutes once he informed me there are a $500 fee for packaging materials and this by his visual review he believed the cubic footage could be 2,000 maybe not the quoted 1,236. I told him none of this was consistent with my many talks with Xavier and the quotation I’d received. He explained that I must overlook Xavier, what he said or quoted was moot, that he (Mike) was that the onsite team leader and his quotes were all that mattered. Now I told him he’d be moving back to Las Vegas with an empty truck and I’d talk to Xavier about obtaining a refund of my $1,300 deposit created on 4/1/14. Mike then went outdoors, made several telephone calls, returned in a couple of minutes and explained that his boss had approved packaging at no excess charge and when the 2011 mover quantified it at 1,236 afterward he’d squeeze it in to 1,236 square feet. I consented to let them begin moving out things. As a side note, unbeknownst to people they first stacked all our things to the lawn, sidewalks and parking lot inducing many neighbors to complain to the management office that they couldn’t get in their assigned parking spaces. This led to a screaming match between Mike and also the office supervisor and they were made to load the truck in rather a rush. When loaded in comes Mike telling me that our stuff took up 1,525 cubic feet and there could be extra fees for the overage. He calculated that the last invoice as $$7,593.75. Now, today 7PM, I had little option, I had been due from this flat by midnight, so I signed anything newspapers Mike gave me but told him I’d be attractive to his house office and into the BBB and DOT when needed. The other side note, once they left and we had been doing a last cleaning of the flat we detect significant damage to each of the door jambs, the steel entry door and into a doorway in the den they’d eliminated to receive a sleeper couch outside. We’re waiting to see just how much the management office deducts from our initial deposit for this harm.
In the days after the transfer I made many telephone calls and sent a number of mails to Xavier, the first salesman, disputing the charges but he never responded to some of those voice mails or mails. In the previous email I requested him to inform me whom I must talk to if he wasn’t the ideal individual, again, no reply at all. Approximately 2 weeks following the movement Tally phoned me to present herself as the individual to contact if we were prepared to take delivery in New Jersey. I made my situation for her regarding the overcharges, ” she said she’d talk to her boss and return to me. At a moment of weakness, frustration and a desire to put this experience behind me, I foolishly offered to divide the gap between the initial quote and the last bill. A couple of hours later she phoned to say they’d correct the charge to get the $325.75 reduction which Xavier had contained from the initial binding quotation but that the overage fees for the additional cubic feet would endure, her boss said it was too late, I’d already signed the invoice. What exactly do I need, I need the last invoice (currently $7,267.98) to be corrected to the initial estimate of $5,895.25, a gap of $1,372.73. We paid $1,300 on 4/1/14 upon receipt of their initial quote and $2,300 at pickup on 6/30/14. I won’t call for delivery before Century Van Lines affirms in writing that we just spend $2,295.25.
I’ve moved cross country at least 6 occasions. I’ve never had numerous things ruined.
I moved from California to New Jersey for this dreadful business.
My workplace furniture – I feel every corner of each one of those 5 bits has dents. I think they pulled the furniture and all of the boxes to the trucks. 50 percent of my photos needed glass broken.
At the end they called and said I want a shuttle to get an extra 350.
That identical day I watched that a tractor trailer onto my road.
At the conclusion they recovered to a different business as they likely realized the degree of the harm to everything that they had moved to me.
I’ve written the review under. Still waiting remains waiting. After unlimited and unlimited hours working on locating my things and/or searching retribution I still have yet to come to some settlement. I add my promise with a single insurer that the inspector has and following months of waiting we were phoned and told that we needed to resubmit our promise to some other insurer but that our claim could be processed in 1 month. Fastforward months after and our test finally includes 74.00 after dropping a nightstand that exclusively weighed over one hundred pounds and 2 other quite big heavy boxes. When we had been bribed to take down our review they provided us almost four times over that. Ridiculous and I sincerely trust because they’ve fired everybody that I keep talking with concerning this matter or that’s stopped something could be solved. If we can not get our things back or sufficient cash to rebuy our possessions at least we could function as a warning to other people. Everybody is always pleasant when they speak to us but finally there’s not anything that’s done in order to provide help. Look for somebody else.
Century Van Lines began by calling and calling our phone calls and returning them while they’re trying to market their expert services. I needed to place a deposit down to book a move date. Following our deposit has been made the firm stopped returning telephone calls and we have made a few calls to the enterprise to modify information. After we could confirm information that was not delivered to us who said they’d have the ability to find out our family products on Friday March 7th and send them to our newest address three times later on March 10th (Monday) since they could just drive 500 miles every day by business regulations said. They weren’t packaged to be lost down the flight of stairs and simply appeared as though it was left and nothing cracked dishes down the stairs of the apartment. We also were advised to sign paperwork which enabled our things to be saved which we stated we did not need and they stated it was only to unload the vehicle and truck in Las Vegas that was not correct. We predicted to confirm on Sunday that our things were in path and that they would be coming at 8am Monday and they stated that it would be 14-21 business days ahead of our things will be sent. After trying to follow up every day for somebody to answer our phone, phoning supervisors, shipment, warehouses and nobody calling us back we needed to get a grasp of customer service ultimately x104 and needed a youthful girl help us who really returned our phone that stated our things would be sent between 24-28th of March but likely nearer to the 28th. After word of this came outside and (half of that which had been left was compensated into the firm at the time of pickup ) we made plans to see family for the weekend so that we might be accessible whenever the movers were arriving. We had been known as the day before we were going to be informed that our things are there on March 20th overdue or March 21st early. We waited till morning of March 21st ancient if the movers did not show up we moved on our trip and were advised that it would not be till late on the 21st that our items could be sent. After ensuring all of our things had produced it from vegas warehouse we discovered that we were overlooking a nightstand and also three extra boxes. We tried calling the business once more but nobody will return our requirements. The services are paid in full and we have needed to take a couple of extra days off function for movers that stated they are there at particular times and haven’t shown up. Not only have we searching for solutions guaranteed but We’ve broken things, missing things and nobody to get for Support. 900 over quoted cost.
Fees were missed managed along with the company managers were unsuccessful and didn’t follow up on guaranteed telephone calls and emails. We needed to create all of telephones calls to attempt to solve this isuue.Abilling dispute accured after pickup and delivery. The contested amount was charged into creidt card without any pryor authoriation.
