I said no way I am paying that. He predicted the salesperson Anthony and they spoke. Anthony said he’d speak to him and have him give me the very best discount he would. Paul walked round my home again and that I be damned if he did not arrive with a different cost that was not inclusive of the extra $1200 he informed me about before. My cost was now double the original cost of $2100.00, ” he advised me it’d be 4000. I informed him he can depart. There was no way in hell I’d pay that cost. I’d say beware and do not accept what they say. Luckily, they did not load anything on the vehicle. Thank God.

My spouse and I just sold our home at Sparta, NJ and we are moving closer to our own children and grandchildren who live in San Diego, CA. I’m a really professional plumber , I am a travel nurse so I’m well aware of all of the speed bumps that happen when you proceed. I received a promotion using this business that I work for and that they transferred us all the way down to Louisiana to the collaborate office therefore that it was time to begin making plans to proceed. I included it on in the end and that I did not feel I was needing them to manage it since I had been planning to receive my friend to push down it but it did wind up going. They still took quite good care of the bike and everything came safely so that I was happy. All in all of the move went great and we’ll need to praise them for their own services.

Worst Experience of my Life! My wife and I moved from PA to NJ, aprox 110 miles. We didn’t have a lot to move and obtained a quote from Century for transferring 334 cubic feet. The team showed up and wrapped everything up in tape and blankets that is just another story in this saga. After the truck was loaded, the mind mover explained that I’d 500 cubic feet of material. Now, I know that I had a quote but for the quote to be away with 166 cubic feet is absurd. I felt as though I had been under estimated so that this firm won my company subsequently made me pay more in the time of this transfer. After the truck was loaded, the team wouldn’t depart until I compensated for the extra cash. Here are a few of things that I thought was really wrong.
1. I had been charged something like $4.50 for each roll of tape used.
2. The quote wasn’t any where near the true footage I’d, way below, which I believed had been done on purpose.
3. I just had the team move what was in my stock, nothing longer.
4. The business wanted to charge me $4.88 / cubic foot to the extra 166 cubic feet of distance. The initial cost per cubic foot was $3.25. I would of gladly paid the $4.88 / cubic foot in the event the team showed up and needed to load things which were not in my stock.
5. When I called for customer support after the movement I had been given nothing but attitude by the VP of Operations, Zeke I think was his name.
6. Zeke told me several times that I got a bargain for what his team moved and that the additional $700 wasn’t that much cash. Like who’s Zeke to tell somebody what is or is not a great deal of cash.
7. Zeke said he returning my phone was client support but provided no type of customer support in any way.

I am sure there’s more but I can’t think of any right now.

I was quite disappointed in the bait and switch routine that they did to me! I must have listened to this MANY testimonials that had criticized the provider. There are far more negative reviews than positive. All had some type of bait and switch to them too. Even though it had been on the contract, then I’d them”backtrack” and state”well. . .maybe we’d get there in your move-in date” and then not even be able to tell me WHERE my possessions are for 10 days! The testimonials are even worse on”YELP” with this moving business. . STRONGLY suggest trying another firm if you’re able to!

This firm was somewhat bigger but it contained everything in the service, and so I chose to go together since other areas tacked on charges for every small thing.

Beware this business, during select up they told me that the truck broke down and then they again had to postpone pickup 3 more times then (and that I heard from a different customer the”truck broke down” narrative is normal )

I had been told I’d find a discount because the next time they proceeded pickup awakened my traveling programs, which they later retracted and once I requested to speak with a manager to discover the reason they said no that I can not speak to him.

I had been told my furniture could arrive in 10 business days, the fall off day just like pickup day kept getting postponed, Then over the 10th business day after I phoned to Discover where my things was that they said”oh it is likely to become 30 days today”

I attempted to pull the contract up to mention why this Wasn’t fine, and lo and behold the connection at which the contract has been now disappeared and has been replaced with a site that stated”This Job is Booked”

I still do not have some of my furniture, so that they will not inform me when it’ll come, and they will not allow me to speak to the manager once I call.

I initially hired Coastal Movers who played a Bait and switch from umbrella business left me with those movers. I didn’t have some notice that they’d be tackling my merchandise so that I did not get to examine them before hand.

Scale weights did not happen on the afternoon of the movement. Missing 500 pounds of my items. Charged me greater rate of $0.75/pounds for nearly twice the estimated weight that almost doubled my quotation, then dropped 500lbs therefore that I paid $375 for the missing merchandise, just compensate for $0.10/pound no reimbursement for missing merchandise.

Special plastic bins bought for transfer, boxes and bins ruined. Several calls for business, guaranteed response, obtained none.

Goods cant be found and that I can not remember every thing in these boxes since they were packaged nearly a year before and in storage.

Unloaders were casual labour hired locally and exhibited small care. Bike broken, classic table divided at chief pillar, heirloom pieces lost/broken.

Dont take action. It seems now that there have been many customers who experienced poor service and problems. Wondering if we are in need of a class action lawsuit against coastal and century. Sounds like that happens all of the time.

Mind you I had been told from the general manager (so called) that just reason my things isn’t likely to achieve in time is when there’s flooding, there’s fire or their truck turns over…
Not professional in any way.

Have to give 1 star for no reason.

Employing this particular company was the greatest mistake ever – no, really not reading the testimonials on YELP initial was our greatest error. Don’t be tricked by any professional or nice looking employees who may chance to answer the telephone during your first call. Nearly what they originally explained was a entire lie, so they maintain your possessions hostage & don’t provide you an specific shipping date! I really could go on & on, yet to save myself & anybody who’s even considering applying this”firm”, please see the testimonials & perform NOT!!

This firm refused to ditch my possessions in their truck before I paid an extra $350 over the borrowed amount to its ceremony”in the event the offload period took more than the initial quote represented”… needless to say I paid since what else would I do, and that I paid in cash since there’s a 6 percent credit card fee… and they then left without exceeding the cash regardless of the service taking a hour less than the quoted time. The entire experience was incredible, and despite several calls and emails that they still have my cash… oh, except I had been mistreated by their customer support representative once I requested for the 350. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

What a staff! They packaged with sensitivity and care, and rate, and they have been gentlemanly, punctually, attentive, respectful and totally capable. I’ll certainly use their service again.

First warning signal: they gave me a three day window but said (on the telephone – we will return to it) they would honour certain dates when I’d parking or building limitations. I sent an email an hour after, having reserved particular parking but did not get a written reaction. Rather, my spouse was assured (on the telephone ) repeatedly that my preferred date was nice. Morning of transfer date, in 9 a.m, I receive a call beginning with’seems like there has been a misunderstanding and we can not move you til tomorrow’. I am angry, so I say okay and set the telephone down to calm down. Phone back and explain to them the entire process simply to be informed that in the written contract it consistently stated 3-day window and it is from the contract and it is not their problem exactly what somebody might or might not have stated.
Second warning signal: they provide to come next morning at 6 to prevent traffic, but do not appear until 9. At this point I only need to have it done so I am like anything. I see as two of those men down things down and you essentially sits at the truck. My boxes, even the ones marked FRAGILE are thrown in with zero maintenance.
We get on the other side, and they invest 30 minutes stating they might find a ticket if they park where I need them to park and I would need to cover it. I say nice, but they pick that one man will remain in the truck along with another two will float. My possessions are currently sitting on an NYC Street, about 200yards in the entry of this building, and nobody to watch them over (I just find out this when I return from purchasing them lunch and cold beverages as it is a hot day. More fool me). After everything is unloaded, 1 man starts driving the truck around the block’to prevent a ticket’, which I’d have been billed anyhow, leaving two men to do the job. Though I am paying for 3 guys per hour, maybe two.
They split the elevator. We spend an hour waiting for the repairman (again, I am paying for the moment, recall ), that comes and says that their shoving on the door unhinged the wheel and he does not have the component.
The head office claims that if I need them to keep working I will hve to pay additional for the staircase and the excess time it takes. I point out it is their fault because of damaging the elevator and I have told to pay $1,400 to get’time already spent’ (although a great 2hrs at this point have been only not doing much and the man in the vehicle has completely vanished ), threatening to leave my possessions on the road if I do not cover.
So I cover, with a charge card that I keep for emergencies and that I have not utilized in a month or two. Among those movers reads the card information over the telephone, which nobody questions although it’s illegal since they should not accept it apart from in the card holder.
Couple of hours later, head office calls again and says they will charge me an additional $400 upfront for the upcoming few hours and if it requires less time then tough, but when it requires more time they will charge me again. They threaten to ditch my items on the road if I do not comply. My card details have been given over the telephone to somebody I do not understand by a number of the movers.
Meanwhile I am carrying my things up the stairs to attempt to get things going.
Two hours until they complete, the next man shows up again, says hello should leave my things and they can return tomorrow, but fortunately another two are fine children and say no.
Eventually, 10 hours following the very first came that afternoon, they depart. No one walked through with me personally to make certain everything was accounted for, rather than broken (spoiler: matters have been broken, such as a couch ), obtained no receipt for exactly what I paid, nothing whatsoever.

Oh and all this was to get a transfer of less than 5 kilometers from the way. $1,700 and 10 hours. Let that sink in.

Coincidentally, a couple of days after, two deceptive costs of over $500 are created with this particular credit card. The one I’d used for the first time that season together. The one whose particulars had been read to men unfamiliar who also had my entire address and name. I am not telling anybody, but make of that what you may.

Bottom line: those individuals are competitive, unprofessional, will gouge you to get cash by threatening to withdraw their services as soon as they understand you haven’t any other choice, will sabotage you, will overcharge, will probably bill for work not completed (the third man who I was paying seemingly but that vanished for hours, leaving me to perform his job and thus extending the amount of hours that they billed me for), also split your own stuff.
Do yourself a favor and hire somebody else.

There’s absolutely not any use in me personally and moaning about the provider. What I’ll say is that they are a total fraud and I would strongly suggest that you pick another moving business. Oh and allow

Not only was that the true cost twice the cost quoted but it required them 65 times to provide our belongings. They eventually delivered just after we contacted the American Transferring Association who telephoned them and threatened to phone the Department of Transportation and authorities when they did not collapse through with the shipping. It was a costly, stressful and mentally exhausting experience to use this organization and I wouldn’t suggest them.

My husband and I moved out of Philadelphia on Lacombe, LA and we’d not use this provider again. Their customer service rep was rude when I phoned to pin down our shipping date, since they were overdue for our pickup. Boxes clearly indicated as brittle had been crushed beneath the burden of boxes in addition to those. The glass on a number of our images was busted whilst being wrapped in bubble wrap. When they arrived in the road to mow, they found that their truck had been too large to back in the road to the driveway. Fantastic adventure with Century Moving! Miguel and his movers were specialist, worked fast and economically on a very hot day! My boxes and furniture have been transferred safely and that I will use their service again! Thank you Century Going! Price: $700

DO NOT USE THEM!!! They was All Inclusive Moving & Storage, but had 17 Better Business Bureau Complaints within the previous 36 months and changed their name to never demonstrate the complaints. There are not enough bad things to say about the corporation. Everything about these is that a scam and that I strongly urge nobody to utilize them. The packaging was dreadful and broke over two dozen items. They tricked us about how big the movement to make it larger and have paid more. Their customer support is terrible. When I called to complain that they never called backagain. I am going to the better business bureau and the FTC to find out exactly what my rights are. I would also presume that each 5 star review is false since they literally do not care for you or your own relocation and just looking for ways to add prices and package as quickly as possible without a fond to hurt.

My experience with Century moving solutions was so great. In actuality, they helped me to create this moving travel rememberable. Everything has been handled with caution, and they made certain all of the glassware substances are secure. I would certainly recommend this service.
