Our move out of Los Angeles rona Honolulu went off work out a hitch. The group was professional and actually understood how to earn a long-distance move a successful one. The price was also quite great for this type of high quality and long distance movement.
I was rather impressed with how Cal State manages our movement. We did not have much too go or that much stuff but everything was treated well and with caution. There were not any problems or flaws. The price was also quite honest.
The group came on time and that there were not any difficulties with the movement. The price was reasonable and in accord with their contest. We recommend their services to anyone looking for a good storage and moving company.
I am Very Satisfied with the task that Cal
State did for me moving my daughter to her brand new studio flat. We did not have a whole lot to proceed but everything was treated with caution and there was not any loss or harm. There were also no extra expenses.
The group was simple to reach through the procedure.
I had to re-locate rather fast to Foster City to begin a new occupation. After I contacted Cal State they had been professional and responsive during the transferring process.
The group came on time and delivered my items to my new apartment with no difficulties. The price was quite reasonable.
This is the worst and most destructive and traumatizing move I have ever had in more than 30 decades. I won’t ever USE this provider again. Their lack of duty and care for the things is completely inexcusable. They also refuse to take responsibility for those problems after the fact when the damages have been reported.
These men are clearly green and inexperienced besides being so unfriendly, uncooperative and borderline defensive. They had been dismissing clearly marked things that needed to be using a particular top facing upward and flipped my hutch totally upside down and all of the items inside obtained smashed. When I pointed it out to them or told them that they dinged my doorway they did not appear to care either way. They just kind of shrugged and kept doing what they had been doing. Doors and walls have banged right into and they left behind a massive mess of debris all down the hallway that I needed to request them to wash up and then I still had to return and continue to wash after they abandoned.
I kept telling them to set the things which were marked to your kitchen at the kitchen along with the things which were marked for your bedroom at the bedroom etc. and they ignored me and kept putting things in locations where the huge furniture was likely to move so that it ended up taking much more time than it could have had they been properly trained and efficient and understand what they were doing. We needed to keep having them go items over and over again since they kept putting things in the wrong area and then we could not set the furniture in which it was likely to go. In addition they wouldn’t eliminate shrinkwrap and matters of that character until I requested them several times. Alex was the only one that had been making an attempt in trying to assist with these things and the remaining men could care less. Overall I’d say about one hour got wasted due to the way that they handled everything. I had been talked in to hiring 4 men since they can do things in pairs and proceed quicker based on Jeff: however, that isn’t what occurred. I believe that I must have had three men not for because sometimes I’d just see 1 man hanging out and waiting while another three were performing the job.
My mattress that is a little more than a year old has been so badly damaged that though I managed to have it fixed enough to use today, it will not endure being removed and moved back again. As soon as I placed the order together with Jeff I specifically said I’d need someone to put my bed together and he said no problem. When I said it to the men they said that they don’t do so and that I hired an external man to come (that is absurd in and of itself). After we got to the space so that the outside man I hired would do in one of those men had already begun putting it together and that he certainly didn’t understand what he was doing and couldn’t work out how to place the ends together and he destroyed my mattress.
One of the men asked to push with me by the storage centre to the flat that was from Los Angeles to San Diego North County that’s really north of San Diego. The drive took us around one hour and a half and generally would take approximately an hour and 45 minutes possibly two hours shirts. They billed me for 3 hours of effort and because that has been doubled I had been billed for six hours once it is clear they should have stopped someplace to catch lunch as it took them an hour and 15 minutes more than us to arrive. That cost me an additional $310 that is ludicrous. I refused to sign the paper stating that all of my things were came in great shape due to the way I watched them fixing my things and I am so thankful I didn’t sign the paper since I discovered numerous problems once I managed to unpack and have a peek at everything. It is insane that they would like you to sign something stating all of your things came in great shape when you can not look at all till you unpack because boxes are in the way and things are concealed.
I had been feeling so tired and overwhelmed from the conclusion of the movement and quite honestly a little intimidated by them since they were so extreme to take care of. The folks I had in the flat to help me unpack were completely appalled at how there were acting and just how inept they had been and said something to me about it after they left.
I have never made a bad inspection or report to anyone about a ceremony in my entire life but that experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I do not feel great not doing or saying anything about it. It is not acceptable for this to go awry. In the conclusion of the afternoon, the reduction was over $800 for me and they gave me $250 plus a few more attitude to go with this. I really don’t understand what happened to the times of customer support but this firm was horrible to deal with and I won’t ever use them again!
We moved from CA to TN on 05/31/20. I talked with Joe that gave a fairly fair quotation and after calling a few areas I chose to go for this corporation. This firm supplied the worst moving agency I have ever experienced. I’ve heard horror stories about people getting a quotation and then the afternoon that the movers show up it is a considerably greater amount than initially quoted. So as to not have this happen to us I went room by room and wrote down each and every thing that would have to be transferred and also included measurements on a few products. In the long run we had more boxes than I believed we’d have so I anticipated around $500 more for the additional boxes. After the movers showed up and began going through the stock I had been advised by Hendrix (lead inspector ) that we’d double what had been quoted and that we’d use a complete truck instead of half of a truck. When the movers receive your stuff they utilize a 26ft moving truck and shuttle it to the semi. I advised him that I have a remarkably in depth inventory and even supplied dimensions so that this wouldn’t occur and his reply was that the men giving the quote do not understand. Hendrix also does not like to be contested and will get competitive and speak over you once you’re attempting to ask legal questions. When I pointed out that the largest things was our mattress and 3 piece sectional he said that the sectional couldn’t be on its own side, couldn’t be piled, and couldn’t have boxes put on top of it and that is the main reason for the surplus space beyond what was initially quoted. In addition, he explained together with all our elliptical that nothing can be set on top of it. We had been scheduled to depart that afternoon therefore we agreed to cover the higher cost. Hendrix also tried to state they had been charging extra for”back breaking” items. The rear breaking things he had been speaking to was a washer, a fridge, and also our mattress. He wished to charge an extra $600 for all those things and they’re not anything more than standard standard size things. He requested him to demonstrate where this was at the contract and he then eliminated the additional charge.Throughout the practice of these loading I had been connected with Joe who kept texting me and stating what they’re doing is dishonest and they are not loading things correctly. After 7 long hours that the truck has been loaded. I messaged a few days following the truck was loaded to acquire an approximate birth date of our belongings and was advised by Joe that dispatch was not calling him back and here is their number. I called dispatch and was advised our stuff was still in CA and also the date is was expected to be loaded onto the semi. When I was informed by Melissa that it had been loaded I inquired what the approximate date for birth was and was told that the driver would phone and when I have not heard from the motorist in a couple of days to reach out. A few days pass and I reach out to Melissa again that cannot be bothered to message back and that goes on for a couple of days until she eventually messages back. The motorist contacts us via text and said he will be there on 6/15 involving 2-4 and educated me if the equilibrium and said anything greater than 150lbs is an excess charge and that if they must carry items over 50 feet it is an excess charge. I wrote back saying the contract cites nothing of this 150lbs and that it is 75ft not 50ft. He simply messaged back..ok thanks. 6/15 comes and it is about 4:30-4:45 and I’ve heard nothing in the driver so that I message to ensure he is coming and he says he will be there within one hour. Our stuff eventually arrives and they start the side door where they are likely to unload our things and I see the semi trailer isn’t actually 1/3rd full of our material. Hendrix if he loaded stated we had a 26ft moving truck complete, sofas weren’t able to be piled on both sides or every other and no sticks onto the sofa, and nothing else about the elliptical. The semi trailer utilized was 53 ft so if we had a 26ft moving truck complete then our belongings ought to take up at least half of the semi trailer and it was not any where near that. We also detected things piled on the elliptical, sofas in their boxes and side on the sofas. My husband and I took several images and even dimensions of this truck and calculated that the actual square footage of the sum used from the semi. Hendrix stated we utilized 1948 cubic feet when in fact it had been 1196. They overcharged is 3948! Additionally, I requested the truck driver to its attest showing how much space our substance took up and he said that he did not have a manifest. When I asked him concerning the manifest and said they are required by law to take one he backtracked and said oh no it is by weight so that the motorist had no urge to collaborate either. As soon as I sent pics to Melissa and Joe demanding my cash Melissa did not bother to react and Joe said he’d pass the data together and I would likely get a telephone call from CalState. I’ve yet to get any telephone so another step is pursuing legal actions as they don’t need to collaborate. I’d strongly discourage anyone from using this business as they have incredibly deceptive practices
I have a really long story to discuss, however in the sake of the own time, I will only post my email to Tony (who calls himself”John” also ) later he cancelled on me 4 times before my move that was the weekend at summer (busy transferring period )…
“I reserved on June 19 directly along with your business.
On June 20, you phoned me to affirm and to ask me to move my transfer time to the afternoon, which I accommodated for you.
On June 20th, you’d clearly seen my speech since YOU predicted to begin the move earlier daily. Nevertheless you waited patiently until June 25 to, initially, phone me and say sorry that your receptionist awakened by reserving this movement and shouldn’t have reserved a transfer so far off, but you’d still honor the reservation because it was YOUR mistake. Then, not even 2 hours after, you TEXT ME that you’re cancelling because of not performing motions in Ventura. That is all unacceptable and also your text has been chicken [EDIT].
I called you and you also asked me to cover for a 4th hour so you can still do the movement. Yes, I refused to cover longer time than I want. You either rectify your mistake or not.
I’d prefer the 100 refunded for my credit card instantly. I’ll certainly make sure that other men and women know about your lack of customer support and attention. The right thing to have done is to cover the 4th hour of”minimal” time yourself or to waive it like all of this was your mistake and there isn’t any way for me to locate a weekend mover that’s not double the purchase price at this brief notice.”
Following my email, Tony/John retained responding to me just like a 10-year old with lies and excuses. I’ll give him charge for refunding the $100 deposit the exact same day that he told me that they had been flaking out on me, but then again, no mover I’ve ever used requested me to get a deposit to proceed to start with.
Tony/John’s amount is 347-220-8550. He’ll also send you unprofessional texts once you book to modify your transfer time and call you to say that his movers are lively in the early morning, but maybe not too much in the day.
Calstate Moving & Storage delivered untrue and predatory ads to lock in our purchase. They provided a reduction and quicker delivery agency as part of a”piggy back movement” since they were already completing a movement in that way, but they failed to fulfill our fall off day by many weeks. They said just a $200 deposit was obliged to ensure the movement, but then 2 days before pickup has been advised they needed a 30 percent deposit although more than 50 percent was expected at pickup anyhow. They refused to return into our house to give us a quote, so I listed a very in depth video of all of the stairs and possessions to allow them to give an exact quote. They provided a binding quote of $4490 but if they came for pickup told me it would be 6000. They provided car transportation for $1050 that we consented on our agreement, however after we gave them the residue they informed us that the auto transport was really with another firm, Experienced car Shipping, who overlooked our pickup window by various times and billed us $1400. As soon as they failed to fulfill with our fall off date by 1 week, they asked an extra $600 for expedited delivery. The afternoon before fall off eventually came (21 days later pickup ) the motorist claimed it’d cost approximately $1000 additional to shuttle our merchandise because he did not believe that the semi truck could match a massive street with a massive parking lot and faculty straight facing us. We had about $1000 worth of damages on big furniture that was not packaged correctly. Not all products were tagged with mirrored decals which makes it unbelievably tough to indicate stock of our dispatch. Calstate Moving & Storage secured us in with low rates and tried to up-charge us each step along the way.
I strongly feel that all of this was well intended, it makes great sense and can be quite smart if you consider it, Colonial Moving & Storage when a Broker so what they do would be cold call you with information they buy from U-Haul, Penske & Budget Rental (we all know this because people have been the 1st three people predicted before speaking with Colonial. Consequently, they get your data, get hold and provide you a cost considerably lower than quoted from the moving businesses. Then they get you pay a deposit subsequently offer you contract to a different firm, obviously they’re all working together and understand this. Calstate Moving & Storage, Hermes Moving and Storage& Cross-Country Movers within our situation. Calstate subsequently controls the contract also utilizes its other companies as kind of buffers, when another companies get in trouble, either penalties or whined on they could always just conduct Business As (DBA) using a brand new name. Now rather than having to complain about a single business in 1 state your coping with 4 (or more) businesses in two unique states. It will become hard to submit a complaint of a law suit.
Here’s what we have done and do. We contacted the Better Business Bureau who gave us an incredible quantity of insight and information. We registered a complaint together on Calstate Moving & Storage, Hermes Moving and Storage & Colonial Moving & Storage. We contacted & registered a complaint with the Department of Transportation at California, New Mexico & Florida. I contacted & registered a complaint with the Federal Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We contacted and registered a complaint with the California Public Utilities Commission, the California Whistleblowers Association and the California State Attorney Generals Office. We contacted and registered a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (who set our names on a list to get a class action law suit) and Immigration Customs Enforcement. Each where we all called to whine were quite useful and gave us insight in to calling another service which may have the ability to assist. We’re also in the practice of submitting complaints on My Moving Reviews, BBB, Yelp, Google & Yahoo Reviews to ensure no one ever gets cheated just like us.

STOLE OUR STORAGE GOODS….PLEASEEEEE LISTEN TO ME!! DO NOT HIRE THIS SERVICE. I recently hired this support for a very long distance move from California to Texas. The movers were supposed to get it delivered by July 31st that was the day I moved. Joe had contacted me a few times reassuring us of our movement along with the date. After our items have been picked up from storage they didn’t arrive in the date that they were supposed to, we can barely hit anyone, Joe stopped answering calls, and now we are two weeks once they picked up my things and they don’t have any clue where it is. . .please save yourself the heart ache because we’re devastated in a vacant property. I’m in tears as I type this. . SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM DO NOT HIRE… hunt difficult for the testimonials, have a look at the BBB until you spent tens of thousands on a transfer ( $3200 to be precise ). .also Melissa, that calls you regarding your substance being picked up is completely incompetent!
